This is a lil sketch of my hexblade/paladin for the Vecna: Eve of Ruin campaign I'm in. I am playing a servant of the Raven Queen who has been dead for thousands of years. Until now.

Their name is Isidor (all pronouns) and they are so normal that it's catastrophic.

Still in my "the sword of kas didn't turn kas against vecna bc its an evil sentient sword but because it lacks nuances of mortal relationships and sexuality and thus misinterpreted the sexy dominance vecna put into it (bc kas is the dom without a doubt) as vecna should be killed" phase

This picture is from the new DnD book, and comes with the caption "A young Kas and Vecna muse about the destruction of Oerth". Just. Let Kas and Vecna be gay. Let them be the messy friends to lovers to enemies to lovers gay uncles of DnD. THEY'RE DOING EVIL PLANS OVER TEA AND PASTRIES. I'm not saying this is the gayest thing I've seen this week, a week wherein I do gay things myself all the time, but the Pope probably would.

Happy Vecna day! I've read through the adventure, and it's basically a series of episodic multiverse romps that connect with a plot twist. Vecna doesn't really have a personal appearance until the end, but the macguffin hunt is still pretty engaging. Fun times!

This is the first secret you find in the campaign. I think handing players these when they discover a secret helps to alert them to the secrets mechanic. That's the dream at least

I usually don't read dndbeyond news articles but the one they had recently for becoming a lich in dnd had caught my attention (I already know a lot about this and wanted to read up on it)

it mostly brought up the various known ways in dnd of becoming a lich (all of which you should ask your dm about first ykno) but one of the well-known ways covered in the article is

is by asking Orcus, demon prince of undeath right? he likes making liches bc they'll help him get rid of all life anyways (since phylacteries need souls to refill and all)

but one of the ways of asking is just.. literally asking via Sending. 3rd level spell. completely unprompted. imagine you're in a dnd game and your fellow party member just fucking sends out "hey orcus can you make me a lich pretty please? thanks!" while you all are there
