'BEING AN INFLUENCER WAS A REAL JOB THAT REQUIRED A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF WORK.'
Yeah, right.
Shin Yuna heard phrases along those lines all the time. Whenever she watched other people's content, a good majority of the influencers would rant about how difficult their life was, or how stressful their workload was when it came to recording and editing.
Sure, it took some effort to edit and upload new content. Yuna allocated several hours a week to do so, but all she had to do was set up a livestream for the cash to start rolling in. Wear something skimpy. Bat her lashes at the camera. Pout a little. Play up the damsel in distress act. It was simply too easy.
princessval***: omg girl pls stop drinking 😭 onlyyuna03: she's so messy i love her luvyuna***: you're back already? i thought you were taking a break onlyyuna03: @luvyuna*** you must be new LOL she always does this
But this—the flood of comments that poisoned her screen—was the curse of putting herself on the internet.
It wasn't like this during her first year of streaming. Back in high school, Yuna's parents were fighting every day, and since she didn't have any friends to talk to, she turned to the internet. She would stay up all night in random Discord servers, chatting with strangers and confiding in them about her family issues.
Naturally, these chats turned into voice calls, which later turned into video calls. Initiated by her, of course. No one else had their cameras on, though; Yuna quickly grew comfortable being in the spotlight, basking in the glow of praise from strangers. Comments like 'you're so gorgeous' and 'you should be a model' made her forget all about her family issues for a split second. Like that, it became like a drug for her.
Yuna, who was starved of attention, relished in the validation she got from online strangers. Strangers who wouldn't even share any personal information about themselves, going by fake names and hiding how old they were.
Soon after, she made her own Discord server, inviting everyone who wanted to see her get in front of her camera and talk about her day. She knew how to play her angles well, acting as if she was everyone's girlfriend while using them to satisfy her need for attention. It was a classic marketing strategy: Yuna knew her asset was her beauty, so she used it to her advantage.
All she had to do was send a picture of herself or talk in a cute voice, and everyone would fawn over her in seconds. In a life where Yuna's own parents neglected her, she found people who cared. Maybe their intentions weren't in the right place, but they were present and ready to listen to whatever she had to say.
She got ambitious, deciding to start live-streaming to a wider audience. Yuna started on Twitch, playing various games like Overwatch and League of Legends. She didn't have to be very good as long as people liked her face and stayed for her reactions.
As she grew a following, she moved to YouTube and TikTok, doubling her follower count in only months. Before, she would be talking to an audience of around 20 people, but now she was racking in thousands as soon as she went live.
Of course, there came drama, too. And Yuna found it exhilarating.
If someone called her out on something, all she had to do was come up with some sob story about how she didn't deserve to hear that, and everyone would come with pitchforks to defend her. She was very calculative in that way, knowing exactly when and how to turn the tide if it wasn't in her favor.
For some reason, that never seemed to work with her parents.
"You're a disappointment," her father spat at her the day she showed him her Yale acceptance letter. She had sparkles in her eyes and a bright smile all day, only for her to feel completely crushed. She couldn't understand why; it was her father's dream for her to get into Yale, after all. "This is the only acceptance letter you've got, huh?"
Yuna hesitated. The competition for all of the Ivy League schools was rough this year; she had been getting rejections left and right, but she thought her family would be satisfied with Yale. After all, it was her father's alma mater.
"Yeah," she answered in a small voice. She looked down at her acrylic-damaged nails, neglected from years of biting the skin until they bled. "I thought you'd be happy with Yale."
"Happy?" Mr. Shin barked out a laugh. "You didn't actually get into Yale on your own, you know that, right?" He scoffed when Yuna gave him a confused look. Then, Mr. Shin slammed his phone against the dinner table, causing his wife and daughter to flinch. "Five hundred thousand. I paid five hundred thousand to get you in. Mr. Nakamura only paid two to get Kazuha in, but I had to pay five. That's how useless you are."
"Sunoo? You know my old boss's son?" he would provoke her for the rest of dinner. "He got in all by himself. You know Hyejin's son—Anton—he got into Yale and Brown on his own, too."
"You need to work hard, Yuna," Mrs. Shin said before stabbing at her salad. "Your dad could only get you in as an undeclared major. You need to get into pre-med on your own."
Tears prickled her eyes, but she stayed silent. Even her college acceptance was a fraud; she had done nothing out of her own hard work.
Except her skyrocketing career as an influencer.
The high of her fame only lasted a short while, though. During the summer before her freshman year of college, Yuna's parents discovered what she had been getting up to on the internet.
Shameful, they called it, as if Yuna was committing a crime.
Yuna's parents were surgeons, and rather good ones at that. They both got their undergraduate degrees at Stanford, and then their doctorates at Harvard. The two of them became neurosurgeons after their residency and board exams, and then transferred to Mercy Health where Mr. Shin became the Chair of Neurological Surgery, which set the bar a little high for Yuna.
She was never spectacular. She was always more interested in makeup and clothes instead of science and medicine. Yuna would've rather worked toward a career as a fashion designer, often dreaming about fashion shows she could design for. She knew she would make it far, too—even Donatella Versace told her backstage during Paris Fashion Week that she had an eye for fashion, and that she could go far.
The few times she visited your house, she remembered meeting your mom, a well-known fashion designer herself, and showing off her sketches. Yuna distinctly recalled her words of approval, and she had to bite her tongue whenever your mom would offer to take Yuna on a tour of her studio, only for her parents to turn down the offer.
Her parents were so adamant about Yuna following their path to becoming a surgeon that they threw away all of her sketchbooks and colored pencils when she showed them her work. Even when she got the opportunity of a lifetime to be taken under Vivienne Westwood's wing, her parents crushed her dreams under their heels.
From a young age, she knew that hard work was only determined by her parents. Her true efforts were simply considered a waste of time.
Naturally, Yuna let out all her emotions when she live-streamed. It just so happened that her parents found out through the families of people who knew her. First, she would be grounded. When that wouldn't work, she would get all of her devices taken away. When she found a loophole around that, she would have to endure her father's rage.
Halfway through her first year at Yale, her parents disowned her.
She was on academic probation after her first semester. While she was trying to file a restraining order against someone who was stalking her (who claimed to be a fan), her grades managed to slip until she failed most of her classes. The worst part was, she had been expecting her parents to worry about the stalking incident, but they only cared about her GPA. Casting Yuna away was just protecting the Shin family's shiny status.
Everything was gone. Yuna was no longer part of the world you and Sunoo lived in. All her connections to the medical field, all her connections to the fashion industry—all out of her grasp. Still, maybe it was her flickering hope to somehow please her parents that kept her on the path to become a doctor. Not that it something she was genuinely interested in, but she knew it was the only way her parents would take her back.
Now she had to keep up her influencer career to support herself financially. There was no way she would be able to pay off tuition, even if Sunoo had generously paid the deposit for her small apartment. She had to keep up with bills, rent, and utilities all at once, and it was all too much for an eighteen-year-old to handle.
She got used to accepting help because of that. You helped foot some of her bills, Sunoo helped with tuition, Anton helped make sure she was eating, and the money she got from streaming and posting videos was enough to cover the rest of her expenses.
Even with an outlet to express her concerns to her fans, though, Yuna was struggling with barely making friends. You, Sunoo, and Anton were the only ones who lent a shoulder and an ear for her to dump all her pain and worries to. But she still had to hold them at arm's length. After all, all of their upper-crust families were in close contact with each other.
And then there was Lee Heeseung.
He was a new face in the socialite scene. No one had heard of him or his family before. Heeseung was probably Yuna's ideal type—handsome, intelligent, popular, and someone who hadn't been sucked into her world yet. Although he was alledgedly close to you and Park Sunghoon, no one else had any idea of what his family did.
Over the years, Yuna was terrified that she had built a reputation among the rich families that were in her circle. She could feel the disdain in their eyes when she was at social events, steering clear of every adult that looked as though they wanted to probe her for information about her college admissions.
Heeseung, however, was like a breath of fresh air. There was no judgment in his eyes when Yuna spoke to him, and that might have been the very moment she fell for him.
He was different. He didn't have any expectations of her nor did he feel uncomfortable when he found out she was a streamer. She liked that he came from a humble background, and he never judged her from where she came from. Even when Yuna confessed that she had been disowned, Heeseung never looked at her with pity in his eyes. He simply told her that he would be there if she ever needed him, and he left it at that.
She tried her best to get close to him, but the closer Yuna got, the more she saw under the surface—the more she realized she was heading toward heartbreak. It was clear as day that Heeseung was deeply in love with you, and it seemed as though he had no intention of considering any other woman. Even Yuna could tell he would give up everything in a heartbeat for your sake.
Yuna did her best to avoid conversations about Heeseung with you. She figured that if they never brought him up, then you wouldn't start to feel differently about him.
To her relief, you started dating Park Sunghoon.
Yuna used Heeseung's vulnerability to her advantage. As much as she liked him, he was a coward when it came to his own feelings; Heeseung could only bring himself to come clean about how he felt for you after you started dating another man. Of course, he was turned down—ignored, even. In your mind, you just wanted to keep up the fantasy of having a close childhood friend to the point where you had Heeseung bottle up everything he felt.
Yuna thought you were cruel back then, but she was even more so.
She knew that Heeseung couldn't do anything about his feelings no matter how much it ate at him, so Yuna pretended she wanted to listen to him go on and on about how miserable he was. It was all because of you, and, for a period of time, Yuna despised you for it.
Months rolled by, and Yuna found herself going over to Heeseung's dorm room nearly every day. They talked about anything and everything, and then the conversation would eventually shift to you. Yuna felt something chip at her heart every time he mentioned your name, but she braved through it all.
"Thanks for coming over," Heeseung murmured, running a hand through his already-messy hair. Yuna could smell the alcohol on his breath when she sat down next to him on the floor. Heeseung laughed. "One-month anniversary. Y/N always told me she found those stupid."
Yuna pressed her lips into a thin line. She remembered walking to class with you last week and hearing you gush about everything you bought Sunghoon for your one-month anniversary as a couple. She thought it was sweet back then, but hearing it come from Heeseung made Yuna feel sick.
"You don't have to thank me," she said, hugging her knees to her chest. "I just wanted to be here for you."
The first time she tried to kiss Heeseung was that night.
The first time Heeseung rejected her was right after he stopped her.
"I can't," he said at the time, drawing away from her. "I'm sorry, it's just—"
"You're not over Y/N," she finished for him with a twinge of bitterness.
He shook his head, saying nothing. Yuna felt a surge of misdirected anger.
Yuna knew from the moment she met you that people like you were the shiny gold coins that everyone wanted to have, and people like her were rusted-over pennies on the sidewalk to be stepped on and forgotten. She was a fool to think that Heeseung would see past that.
"I know that." Her tone was sharp as she got to her feet, and Heeseung followed suit right after. "But I suggest you get over her soon because it's not gonna happen."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Exactly what I said. Y/N would never go out with you. She already turned you down, anyway."
"Is that so?"
When Yuna turned around to look at Heeseung, his expression was like stone. Something ugly was twisting its way around her heart, squeezing out every semblance of affection she ever had for you.
"Yeah," she replied with a simpering smile, "because she's just too nice to choose the guy who broke her friend's heart."
"Broke—?"
"And," she said louder, cutting him off, "Sunghoon doesn't know, does he? Wouldn't he feel really betrayed if he found out?"
Heeseung kept his face impassive, but Yuna could tell he was seething. She cornered him quite well.
She kept that farce up for years. It was easy keeping Heeseung in line when you only had eyes for Sunghoon, and Heeseung was just so easily discouraged by Yuna's words. It was almost like he had no hope that you would take his word over hers, and that sent Yuna on some sort of power trip.
Her relationship with you was strange. Maybe it was at that moment when she realized that she was someone important to you, and that made her feel invincible somehow. She could do anything as long as you were on her side.
She liked drinking. Not because she particularly liked the taste of alcohol, but she loved the feeling of forgetting all her responsibilities. Every rotten memory of her parents would bury itself under the sand for the time being, and all she could feel was adrenaline pumping through her blood.
But she was never exactly in control. It only took a year to slip up in front of her friend group (thankfully when you weren't around), so she begged Karina, Yeonjun, and Giselle to keep quiet about her crush on Heeseung. They weren't even extremely close at the time, but they knew better than to tread on a situation between you and Sunghoon, whose parents were far more influential than theirs.
"It's only gonna cause more problems if she finds out," Yuna told them through choked sobs. "If Y/N finds out, things will never be the same between us, and Sunghoon doesn't even know that Heeseung has feelings for Y/N." As Giselle stroked her hair gently, Yuna said, "I can get over him on my own. Just please keep this from Y/N."
Karina and Yeonjun exchanged nervous looks before they reluctantly agreed. She had always been wary about Karina. Giselle was overly-empathetic to her situation, Yeonjun was a good listener because he thrived off of drama, but Karina had always seemed more skeptical.
And, as Heeseung knew, Yuna always found a way to silence people who she felt she couldn't trust, so she played dumb when she outed Karina on live.
It was a stupid move on her part, to be fair. Yuna deeply regretted it as soon as she realized what she said. Karina iced her out for months, and everyone else was on the colder side—even Sunoo, who had been her close friend for so long. She always felt strangely jealous of Sunoo, who got the approval of her father when she couldn't, but seeing him give her the cold shoulder nearly sent her over the edge.
"I apologized so many times!" she cried to him. Sunoo kept his guard up, but he always heard her out when she needed him. "I just don't know what else to do. I keep fucking up."
Sunoo frowned. "Do you even feel bad about what you did, or do you feel bad because you were caught?"
Yuna didn't respond to his question, but she knew exactly what the answer was. Was she pathetic? Probably.
She ruined everything. She always ruined everything.
Maybe it was just easier that way. Yuna knew that if she tried her best to please everyone, it would still never be enough. Hurting them before she cared too much was just a defense mechanism, as selfish as it sounded. If you chopped down the tree before it grew too tall, it wouldn't hinder the plants under its shade from growing.
The thing was, Yuna received blow after blow all her life without any acts of mercy. She was struck over and over again, and no one delivered the final coup de grâce.
Naturally, Karina came around and forgave her. Another missed blow. It was like Yuna was drunk off the drama itself because if she kept acting out and causing all these problems, then she could keep everyone's attention on her.
And then she wouldn't have to be so alone.
But the cycle went on and on, so when Yuna found herself texting Jay and Sunghoon in her drunken stupor, she hardly considered the consequences when she mentioned the long-kept secret of Heeseung's first love. You trusted her to keep your conversation with Jay about breaking up with Sunghoon to herself, but she violated that as soon as she could, too. She wasn't sure what it was, but whenever she looked in the mirror, all she saw was that she was as bad as her parents.
Yuna was fated to fall into the same destructive cycle over and over again until it stabbed her in the back for good. Until she bled out, though, everything was fair game.

James Somerton's "A Measured Response": A Measured Response
so I watched a reupload of the video because idk i like to torture myself. and i took a bunch of notes:
“I tried to be a voice for every member of the queer community, but that was a failed endeavour before it even started.”
what a strange way to say ‘I tried making it seem like I’m the only queer creator and stole from and actively harmed people in the queer community. knowingly. purposefully. and when I was called out in the past I tried to hide it.'
“I'm a cis, white, gay man. No matter how much I try to be a good spokesperson, I can never really, truly, understand the life experiences of other, far more put upon,  members of the queer community.”
so of course I stole and hid work from the people I can't understand, gutting it of their personal experiences and refused to redirect my audience to those people so that they can enrich themselves and hear about issues pertaining them from someone who actually does understand.
“...one of the reasons I used their own words. But I should have made it clear that that was what I was doing.”
BITCH YOU STOLE. YOU GUTTED THEIR STORIES OF MEANINGFUL PERSONAL EXPERIENCES. YOU WEREN'T USING THEIR WORDS TO BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT THINGS YOU CAN'T ENTIRELY UNDERSTAND YOU WERE MILKING THEM FOR CONTENT AND DEPRIVING PEOPLE OF ACTUAL, SOULFUL, MEANINGFUL ARTICLES AND BOOKS AND DOCUMENTARIES AND VIDEOS THEY COULD HAVE BEEN WATCHING INSTEAD.
“Being a cis white man I thought I might win over some people who otherwise wouldn't listen.”
Yeah sure. Because racist transphobes are going to be watching your badly plagiarised gay film analysis.
“I would also like to apologise to Jessie Gender, who is one of the kindest people I ever met. Through my hot-headedness, I drew her into this anger spiral.”
‘through my hotheadedness.’. shirking responsibility onto an ‘ingrained personality trait of yours’ I see.
if you are so honestly sorry for being an asshole to Jessie why don't you fucking apologise to her directly? privately? not as a way to boost your own fucking image??
he's trying to earn good will by complimenting Jessie Gender “oh he knows to compliment an awesome person we have that in common I guess he can't be so bad after all” fuck you I recognise your strategies and it's gross to drag Jessie into this like that, she spoke out against you and you are trying to imply some sort of friendship or something between you. okay I cannot UNDERSTATE the way he tries to make it seem like they are close in some way and sort of drag her onto his side that's so fucking despicable. as far as I know Jessie Gender does not have a relationship with him of any kind?
once again bringing up death threats I see. obviously death threats are shite and anyone who threatens the dude in seriousness or harasses him will not see the light of heaven as Hbomberguy said but IN AN APOLOGY YOU DO NOT MAKE IT ABOUT YOU THAT'S MANIPULATION
also blaming the police for not clarifying a situation in a timely manner - the police are a flaming pile of garbage and I hope the institution explodes but NOT SAYING ANYTHING WAS YOUR CHOICE. THE POLICE DIDN'T MAKE YOU DO SHIT THERE
the problem isn't that you tried to “create a channel where all queer people could be safe”, the problem is that 1) you are a misogynist 2) you yourself engaged in transphobic behaviour and 3) you also actively supressed queer people's voices. The problem isn't that you supposedly wanted a space for all queer people, the problem is that you tried to MONOPOLISE queer literature analysis. fuck, queer doesn't look like a word anymore I've written it too many times now
(paraphrased) “I should have been helping with making queer people's voices discoverable” this makes it seem like he just didn't do anything and not like the reality that he was actively trying to rewrite history and bury LQBTQIA+ voices under his steaming pile of garbage
also BLAMING YOUTUBE AND THE ALGORITHM FOR ‘PUSHING HIM’ because he's cis and white, like maybe they did, I certainly wouldn't be surprised, but that is not why other creators suffered, a large part of that can be attributed to James Somerton stealing their work without any acknowledgement whatsoever apart maybe if they are lucky, a “based on” in the credits or their name flashing on screen for half a second.
“I should have done more to share the voices of other queer people” THAT IMPLIES YOU DID SOMETHING. YOU WERE ACTIVELY WORKING AGAINST THAT YOU STUPID PIECE OF SHIT-
“it was just my dweam to be a youtubew and when my videos gained twaction i felt pwessuwed to make mowe vewy quickly and that's why they wewe so shit uwu” fuck off you weren't pressured into shit you just wanted to make money and that's why you were a content mill
“early on I thought that crediting authors in the opening credits alone was enough” what about the times YOU DIDN'T EVEN DO THAT??? YOU'RE MAKING THIS SEEM LIKE THE DRAMA IS ABOUT YOU CREDITING PEOPLE WRONG WHEN ITS ABOUT YOUR SYSTEMATIC THEFT AND OPPRESSION OF THOSE YOU CLAIM TO MAKE VIDEOS FOR AND ABOUT AND THOSE YOU CLAIM TO MAKE A SAFE SPACE FOR. WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK WATCHES YOUR VIDEOS?? WE KNOW WHAT YOU DID YOU CAN'T JUST PLAY IT DOWN
not him using Hbomberguy's example of the DEEP CUTS: SOCIETY AND QUEER HORROR video and claiming he credited all people in the opening scene when Hbomberguy highlighted he DIDNT EVEN CREDIT MOST OF THEM FUCK OFF ARE YOU DELUSIONAL HOW DO YOU THINK YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH THIS
I think I'm going insane this all seems so blatantly fake. he brings up the evil queens video and how he asked Sean Griffin, retroactively, permission to include his work in the video. and he shows a ‘screenshot’ of an email Griffin allegedly wrote to thank him for putting him in the title-card and that he thinks it is ‘a very thoughtful video’. only the text of the email header, such as Griffin's name, the RE:, and the To: is a lot smaller than the ‘text’ in the email, which leads me to believe that the below text is edited in some way. And with how hard James is trying to rewrite history, it wouldn't surprise me if he literally rewrote the email or cut things out to present himself in a more positive light. obviously I can't prove that the email is fake but I'll just say that I think the likelihood is very high that it is.
the way he says this also implies that he asked for permission after he made the video but hadn't published it yet. which is also blatantly false.
again trying to waltz off responsibility on nick, saying he was much more interested in production and implying that nick did all the writing .
“nick and I had both grown up poor so when I lost my job in 2021 (approx.) we of course were desperate and turned to producing videos even quicker and plagiarising the fuck out of all of them! but we can't help it we were both poor as kids!” fuck off, you weren't poor when plagiarising every-fucking-thing, this was in “the second year of COVID”. obviously if they really did grow up poor that sucks, and that's why we should eat the rich and redistribute their money. not plagiarise people who partly are poor or not financially cushy and manipulate thousands of people into believing you are the only queer creator.
also milking his mom's cancer. if you were really that worried about your financial situation, one would think that you would get an actual job for security and not put everything into your youtube career that is unstable, especially considering you've already done a lot of plagiarism and have no intention of stopping. “oh I plagiarised because my mom had cancer QAQ” that is so digusting to use a person's medical condition like that.
“i have memory issues because of a head injury i suffered as a child and that's why I plagiarise badly. see, I copy pasted the text with the intention to rephrase it later but forgot.” that would still be fucking plagiarism if he'd done that, also, if he's so aware of his memory issues and how they lead to him plagiarising, why didn't he try to work around that? leave himself notes? or tell nick to remind him to integrate actual proper credit and citations before uploading a video? mark the plagiarised stuff in the document with like highlighter or so when you're pasting it in?? oh but he didn't do all of that because he has ADHD. now, ADHD can be debilitating, but he says it's recently diagnosed so it must not have caused a lot of problems for him so far, so it's probably not severe and even if it is, it doesn't excuse him not crediting people properly. stop fucking hiding behind things ‘you can’t change' because if you truly can't you probably shouldn't be doing this in the first place.
“my mom really wanted me to make a movie with her life insurance but that wasn't paid out so I decided to crowdfund it. i planned to underpay the actors so hard it was under union wages. we got more money than we were expecting and upgraded to wanting to film a feature (final girl) but i didn't want to start working on it until the campaign was over for some reason that totally isn't me just wanting to exploit people for money!”
I'm not gonna go into the Telos stuff but he tries to explain it by claiming it was very unorganised and that's why they constantly ran into issues and that's why nothing ever got done and they were JUST about to start doing stuff when the Hbomberguy video released. You know what, I can believe it, although I am very doubtful considering all James ever does is lie. Idk.
once again trying to excuse his plagiarism with needing to pay two rents and thus needing to make more videos for more sponsors and not having the time to not plagiarise like please. i don't believe that they were in that dire need of money and if they were - just get a fucking stable job and put youtube on the backburner.
also once again trying to make it all about him by once again talking about his suicide attempt and death threats. like. no one should suffer through that kind of mental anguish but honestly I cannot bring myself to feel sympathy for this man. and i see this as an attempt to gather pity points.
“nick worked very hard on these videos other three years and it's unfair to [them] (james says that they're non-binary but doesn't indicate their pronouns anywhere? and in the beginning he uses they/them but later only he/him so idk what their pronouns are but it seems like they/them is at least part of their pronouns so i'm just going to use that) that they all got taken down” well y'all shouldn't have fucking plagiarised then. let this be a lesson maybe and don't fucking show your face on youtube again!
he is fucking relaunching his channel. like james. this isn't something you come back from. no one will ever be able to trust you ever again and you don't deserve an audience. he claims all the revenue will go to Hbomberguy's fund but we have no way to verify this. we have no way to know just how much he makes and how much of that is actually going to the fund. i don't trust him with any money. which is why i watched a reupload rather than the original. he's also releasing a new video he claims is entirely by him. like?????? don't???????
he also might not relaunch his existing patreon but he's still making a new one.
he claims he will “work his ass off” to make non-plagiarised videos. like that isn't “working your ass off” that's the bare fucking minimum. I really want to trust him. and I want to believe he'll actually try to do better. and maybe he will. and i believe in second chances, even for someone as despicable as him. but throughout this video he has continuously tried to play down what he did. tried to make excuses for everything. and that's why i am not going to give him a second chance. if he can't even admit what he did i don't trust him to not do it again. and i also just plainly don't want to endorse a person making such arguments.
also, he plugs his fucking new patreon right after this.
“this video is not about me promoting myself. it's about me apologising.” the only fucking person you actually ‘apologised’ to is Jessie Gender.
James Somerton: makes a billion fucking excuses. Also James Somerton: “These are not excuses. There is no excuse for what I did.”
this entire video was just a publicity stunt. he tries to humanise himself and repair his image. this is just a tool to be able to continue on and continue making money.
he also still claims the disney video was based on the Celluloid Closet and he credited the author and ignores that this wasn't the only author he fucking plagiarised in that video. he is trying to reduce his plagiarsm to incorrect crediting and mistakes and that is disgusting.
the least he could have done was mention by name out loud every author he plagiarised and what work he plagiarised. not just say “uuuh i'm sorry to everyone I plagiarised QAQ”

Tumblr media
The antis have been all over my posts in the last few days, so I wanted to share my experiences and write a guide on how to deal with them.
First off: Our ships and character preferences are valid, no matter how hard some people try to demonize them. We are part of fandom and allowed to post about the things we enjoy, just like everyone else. Our fanfics, fanart, video edits, photo edits, etc. are all works of love and they deserve to exist and be explored by others.
✨ Strategies for dealing with antis ✨
Don’t engage. I have checked the bios of all the antis that left comments under my posts, and the majority of them are minors. You don’t want to talk to minors in fandom spaces!! And a conversation based on logic or reason won’t be possible either.
Delete their comments. Tumblr, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube allow you to delete comments, DO IT!! You created something with love and hateful comments have no place underneath it. Even if the comment just makes you uncomfortable and isn’t outright hateful, it is perfectly reasonable to delete it for your own sanity.
Block generously. Not only the people who target you specifically but also anyone who engages in character- or ship-bashing. People who do that for one ship will do it for other ships too and it’s extremely bad fandom etiquette. When you see a character or ship-bashing post, block everyone who liked it and then the poster.
Report people for harassment. The rules vary by site, but especially threats of violence should be reported. Also, if someone follows you to another social media site after you’ve blocked them, that is called block evading and you should report that too.
When you see other people getting hateful comments underneath their posts, leave a nice comment to offset some of the negativity. Your being supportive can make the difference between this person never posting again and them being motivated to keep going. People are always welcome to send me links to a post that is getting targeted by antis and I’ll like it and leave a nice comment. 🥰
Don’t let the bad comments outshine the positive ones! Every time my post gets enough traction for antis to find it, it also gets lots of lovely reactions. Many people have told me that my content and recommendations made them ship my OTP, and that is the single thing that makes me happier than anything else. Take a screenshot and look at these kinds of comments when you feel down. This is the real reason you should keep posting.
Most hate comments are exceptionally uncreative. It helps to laugh about it, preferably with a friend. ✨ Remember, you used your energy to create something and you should be proud of it!
When you see a creator you like, but they also display obnoxious behavior towards people who like other ships, characters, or dynamics, at the very least don’t give them a platform by sharing their posts.
Stay safe. Don’t post personal information online.
It’s completely valid to step away from social media for some time. Private your accounts, turn off notifications, do a canon reread, read some fanfics in peace. Whatever it takes to remind you why you love the things you love.
Bonus Tip: Watch videos of cute animals to destress. Bunnies nose-booping each other can (and will) cure anti-induced anxiety. :)
✨ Platforms sorted by least to most toxic and my advice for using them ✨
1. Discord
Discord is great because you can join servers specifically for your favorite characters and ships. If a server doesn’t already exist, consider setting one up! Pro tip: only invite people that have positively interacted with you in the past. A small server consisting of nice people is a lot more fun than a large server consisting of members that can’t get along or are only marginally interested in the topic.
Fandom Discord servers have clear guidelines on what you can post. As long as you follow the rules, people have no grounds for calling you out. In my experience, moderators are quick to respond to harassment.
When you join a server and you see they heavily restrict certain types of content, it is a red flag. Proceed with caution, even if you plan to only talk about “safe” characters and ships.
2. Tumblr
I have rarely gotten hateful comments on Tumblr, and the few times I did they were easy to delete.
A lot of the older fandom generations use Tumblr and they are more mature and accepting of all kinds of content.
3. Twitter
Twitter makes it easy to curate your own fandom experience. You can mute words you don’t like to see on your timeline, mute and block users, and most people have their ship preferences in their bio.
4. Instagram
My Instagram posts about Jadecest get a lot of positive interaction, even more than on Twitter. There are unpleasant comments once in a while, but they are easy to delete.
Blocking a user will delete all their comments from your posts.
5. YouTube
People who don’t like your ship will downvote your videos and downvotes lead to the algorithm not recommending your videos.
I have gotten a few negative comments, but they are easy to delete.
6. Reddit
When you post in a fandom subreddit, everyone will see the post, independent of their ship preferences.
There are a lot of minors on Reddit.
You can’t delete comments.
Most fandom subreddits are poorly moderated.
7. TikTok
I have gotten the most hate comments on TikTok. They can be filtered or deleted, but antis interacting with your video by leaving hate comments will lead to the algorithm recommending your content to even more antis. It can get very ugly.
If you post on TikTok consider turning off comments, stitches, and video replies. You can also mark your content as 18+, so it won’t get recommended to minors. (Again, antis tend to be underage.)
Platforms are more toxic the more they show your content to people outside your bubble. Discord, Tumblr, and Twitter keep your content relatively well contained to your circle of friends. Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram heavily promote your content outside your bubble, which is good, because more people are going to see it, but also bad, because it reaches more antis.
~~~
Antis are loud and obnoxious, but it’s important to remember that they are a minority. Ship and let ship still exists, especially among the people who have been in fandom spaces for more than just a few years. Don’t be afraid to post your content and express your love for your favorite characters and ships! I, for one, would love to see your creations, and many other people would love to see them too.
What are your experiences and strategies for dealing with antis?
Your fear of looking stupid is holding you back💔
... well, at least among other fears of course. However, the point is that a lot of what is holding you back from achieving that which you most deeply yearn for is in your mind.
We are products of our environments and as such, are  (more often than not) walking embodiments of the our circumstances. How we perceive ourselves is greatly influenced by how the world around us perceives us, and depending on how positively or negatively we are perceived is how positively or negatively we perceive ourselves.
Enter Imposter Syndrome, Self-doubt and Self-consciousness with the sole purpose of keeping us small and stagnant if not regressed all together.💔
The constant second-guessing and low self-esteem has done a number on your belief in yourself and continues to lead to immense self-sabotage. So, here are some simple ways to overcome that.
Change your environment
Practice self-awareness
Be defiant
Reduce your expectations
ASK FOR HELP!!
1. Change your environment 💎
As we've established before, we are products of our environment, which makes it extremely difficult to become anything contrary to it. Ideally, the best way to change you environment is to relocate to an environment where the lifestyle you wish to emulate is the norm. However, that is not always possible for a number of reasons, so these strategies should keep you going until you can afford to take the plunge.
Listen ONLY to music that serves you and your aspirations (i.e. motivational, goal-oriented, peace music)
Engage with content that edifies, reassures and motivates you (i.e. podcasts, YouTube videos, blogs etc)
Adorn your environment with inspirational and aspirational images (i.e. a vision board)
Connect with people with shared goals via in-person interactions and/or online communities
2. Practice self-awareness 💎
Strong negative feelings such as fear and shame can severely distort our perception of ourselves & the world, our relationship with our memories and impact how we make decisions. This is why the importance of self-awareness cannot be overstated. Have a comprehensive understanding of who you are can provide you with a greater deal of perspective. This is how you can practice self-awareness.
Write and routinely review a list of BOTH your strengths and weaknesses. Seek help for the weaknesses and celebrate the strengths.
Embrace and trust you intuition so that you can build self-trust
Acknowledge your emotional triggers and investigate their origins.
Ask for feedback from your trusted and supportive circle of influence.
3. Be Defiant 💎
The insidious thing about being the product of an unsavoury environment is that at some point after continuous exposure, your mind does the discouragement itself. This means that it's tough to shake the culture, mindset and self-worth (or lack there of) that the environment has instilled within you even once you've removed yourself from said environment. This often pervades your thoughts in the form of negative self-talk, and you can obfuscate all of this negativity with a little bit of defiance in the form of positive self-talk.
Work with a professional who can present a level-headed perspective on your negative self-talk.
Do daily positive affirmations in order to regularly challange and silence the negative thoughts.
Engage with media the encourages positive thinking such as music, literature and social media content.
Surround yourself with people who make you feel good so that they can be the voice of reason when the negative self-talk creeps back.
Make your favourite interest a hobby to give you a sense of excitement and purpose, which may make you feel worthy.
4. Reduce your expectations 💎
Jumping the gun as far as our expectations are concerned is one of the things that can exacerbate our fear of success (and similarly, failure). We often imagine ourselves achieving the most magnificent versions of what our imaginations conjure up and as much as that can be inspirational and motivational, it can just as easily be overwhelming if you already think poorly of your capabilities. The anxiety that working to achieve the life you desire as well as the fear of not being able to handle success when it comes can lead to crippling depression and feelings of inadequacy. This can be combated by reducing your expectations for what you can achieve within a certain period of time. Here's how.
Be clear about what you wish to achieve and work backwards to figure out what steps you have to take.
Adopt the Japanese philosophy of Kaizen - the adoption of micro-habits in order to have continuous improvements in a way that is non-threatening to your nervous system and is thus sustainable.
Review your aspirations and evaluate how much of them are actually yours. Doing this will help you silence the noise and remove the weight of other people's projections.
5. Ask For Help!! 💎
"Humans are social creatures" is a phrase that is thrown around frequently, but most do not understand what it means beyond the surface level. A lack of human connection and social interaction can have dire long-lasting ramifications on your health. Such ramifications may include depression, poor sleep quality, impaired executive function, accelerated cognitive decline, poor heart function as well as compromised immunity. This goes to show how incredibly vital having a steady and supportive social structure is for human survival let alone improving one's health. Thus it pivotal to seek help with your fears and anxiety about failure and success. This helping hand could be a professional, a mentor, friends, close family or an ambitious online community.
You owe it to yourself to overcome the fears you have. The highest version of yourself is counting on you. 💫
Hey,
Hope you’re having a lovely day. I sent this ask because I believe you and I are in the same place, the middle ground, not a pjm but not fully ot7(at least by twt standards)
I would like to have a discussion on the drawback of Jimin. I’m new to the fandom but even before I joined I distinctly remember the name Jimin.
I was a 1D fan and Jimin was all up on my YouTube. I remember watching his compilations before I could even tell the band members apart.
Anyway flash forward and that same Jimin is what has me joining a tumblr space to share my woes. Why?
Because I genuinely care for the guy. Like if something were to happen to him I’d cry. I resonate with his albums. Appreciate his music and I feel proud seeing how his voice has improved.
I don’t feel the need to be up in his private life but I still like to know he’s okay once in a while.
He is kind of like an acquaintance.
Anyway, I feel it’s important others know, as a past local, that Jimin knows how to shine.
This guy is smart, he knows himself and he knows his charms and if he WANTED to, he would.
No one can ignore Jimin. Everything about him stands out: his looks, his voice, his charms, his dance.
My take on FACE as someone in marketing: it’s poor marketing.
Hybe knows how to market.
You don’t become a multibillion dollar company and not have a marketing team.
My take on the marketing strategy: Use Jimin to draw the public eye, then as a ladder to push the other artists up.
On the street, smoke sprite, face, people Pt 2
All released around the same time. Multiple music shows, beat coin, Jimmy Fallon, face playlist, behind the scenes content, face live
Did I miss anything? Maybe it was such a whirlwind.
Anyway I give the marketing of FACE a 5/10. Nice buildup but chaotic/ crazy at the end.
Listening to Jimin I realize he’s very humble and hardworking.
he’s the kind of person that you can’t help but praise, and that stirs jealousy.
his members praise him, the persons who work with him praise him, his fans consistently praise him, his friends praise him, he’s even made an impact on his tattooist.
locals praise him. But he also stands out too much. Like from a marketing POV, JK is much safer? Even look at reactors, they feel so strongly toward Jimin that they have to preface: I’m straight blah blah whilst the others it’s just “yeah I like RM, JK/V”
I don’t know how to describe it. Jimin is so unique he’s controversial.
I could be watching a BTS video with a muggle and they recognize no one but the “guy who looks like a girl”, then all of a sudden we’re in a conversation about their sexuality .
it’s kind of frustrating, and annoying….so most Jimin fans are understandably silent. Especially with this influx of jealousy and hate
But what is silence? Silence is not good for data.
so what does hybe marketing team see? A whole lot of jungkook and tae
Jungkook and Tae on instagram. Jk and Tae on TikTok. Jk and Tae topping google searches. JK especially
so they likely conclude, we should make JK our pushed product. Because they can’t afford to push everybody.( or can they?)
And then, what happens? Jimin who’s been basically working with his in-house producers this whole time comes and pushes the competition out the water by topping the billboard, AS A DEBUT, with a song in KOREAN.(again the man isn’t safe lol)
I can’t describe to you how mindboggling this is. If I was a marketer I would have been shocked and realized that, Jimin has a silent fanbase but a highly engaged fanbase.
There is a reason Tiffany and Dior wanted him. A highly engaged fanbase is more likely to spend money, while a bigger but less engaged fanbase is good for mass appeal( say Calvin Klein)
A highly engaged which is so much more important imo. That is the foundation BTS propelled itself off of. That means you just need proper promotion, his silent fanbase just need to find the courage to speak and share and you have a force.
The issue? Jimin’s fans are silent because Jimin is silent. They were loud when Jimin was loud, locals couldn’t stop hearing Jimin. They subconsciously follow what Jimin wants, and maybe, like many others, they probably feel Jimin isnt ready to shake up the whole world yet as a solo artist yet.
and he made it clear he isn’t. He made the album to get it off his chest, and is basically saying he does NOT want to outshine his band members. (JM: I know you love me but remember BTS is first everyone)
so Jimin fans are basically stuck supporting his music and sticking with the ot7 till another time.
but I want to say to all Jimin fans, with that #1 on Billboard you made a statement. There’s a reason kpoppies are all up in your grill. There’s a reason Hybe is putting more focus on the other members. There’s a reason Jimin is not promoting himself that much.
cause they know, they all know. Even Jimin himself knows he’s a force to be reckoned with. The man just wants to chill as a member of the band for now, but continue reminding him and the company time and time again that he has the potential to shake up the industry .
Hi anon,
Thank you for sending this. I really do appreciate it. I'm sure a lot of people do as well.
Perhaps Jimin does want to do things quietly or perhaps not. But I don't want him to ever think that he is not enough for us and therefore we didn't do enough for him.
So let's follow what this anon is saying. Stream his music, give views to his MVs and fancams, engage with any content that has Jimin like Tiffany, Dior, naver articles, all of that.
We will see what happens in the future but for now, this is what we do.
Jimin deserves the world.
Thank you for sharing all this!
-I have attached a post with Jimin centric playlists:
-Please give views to this video (it's a competition, ok?):
youtube
youtube
youtube
-If we want Jimin to get awards, we must give Youtube views. I hate Youtube but it must be done.
-Presave Angel pt2, which will be released on Thursday, 6/15. Don't buy on Thursday, wait until Friday. I will post playlists once the song is out:
I think the link might not work for everyone so try here too:
I think that's about it...for now
7 Powerful Strategies for a Structured & Consistent Spiritual Growth Journey (With a Spiritual Planner)
If you were to sit down at a coffee shop with me and ask what was the top spiritual growth lesson I learned this year, I might surprise you with my answer. The hugest thing I learned this year was Strategy! Specifically, Structure, Organization, and Strategy naturally enhance my Intuitive Flow aka Spiritual Alignment. This gives me back my Time, Energy and Focus. I know it shocked me too when I started thinking about it.
At the start of the year, I enrolled in a very in-depth marketing course and it changed my entire content creation world! Have you noticed? 😉 The Main Aha moment from the entire program was that I realized how much I was lacking strategy across the board of my own life, so I started expanding that outward to other areas of my life.
Some of these being Fitness, my Spiritual practice, Goal Setting Process, My Meal Prep in the kitchen, my content Process and so forth. I’m going to be honest with you, if I can find a way to get out of doing things manually or Creating more Flow in my workflow – I am the first to do it!
Structure is not a bad thang.
Why Do We Need More Structure, Organization, and Strategy as a Spiritual Person?
The Short Answer: Awareness. As a Spiritual person bringing more Mindfulness and Conscious Awareness into my life has consistently proven to be the strongest method to Personal Well-being,Positive Mental Health and Emotional Empowerment. Why?
Conscious Awareness is the dynamic opposite of reactive behavior.
Without Structure, Organization, or Strategy, we’re just a loose cannon floating in the wind without a purpose to our actions. Without awareness, We cannot create real change. In other words, we’re either more reactive or running on unconscious impulses in our everyday decisions. I invite you to consider how many times you impulsively open an app on your phone and get back to me on that….how many times did you click it?
As we live in the digital age of society, we have to be aware of how much Reactive behavior is created purely from External Influence in our day-to-day lives for our own mental and emotional health.
Examples of reactive Influence:
For example, Your goal today is to Film a Video for Youtube. Scenario: scroll Instagram, you say 5 mins of scrolling. You see someone’s post about the full moon and then you get in your head ‘maybe i should be making a post about the full moon too?!” Suddenly half an hour later, you’re on Canva designing the perfect Full Moon Post. You didn’t realize you were actually procrastinating and forgot about the video! Or how about this one:
You read about the latest conspiracy theories and suddenly you’re externally influenced by them. Then you decide to start doom scrolling and suddenly you’re feeling paranoid or unsafe to leave the house! As Spiritual People, It’s important to have Mental Discipline to promote more mindfulness and conscious awareness so we can reduce our reactive thoughts with pure conscious thought. This helps your Intuition the most, besides it’s better for your health too.
One of the Strongest ways to do this is with more Structure, Strategy, or Intentional Planning!
The Benefits of Structure & Intentional Planning
When it comes to Structure usually one of the hugest excuses we put up is that “it’s not intuitive” to plan or structure our day. There is often a language of “I can’t use strategy because I lose my Flow or Intuition”. WRONG. This is what I’ve discovered:
1. You Have the Right Mindset to Accomplish Your Tasks naturally enhancing your Intuition
I actually find the opposite to be true. The more I’m intentional, I am literally programming my mind towards exactly what I wish to achieve and the mindset I need to go with it. This naturally enhances my intuition and I’m more likely to tap into Magnetic Aligned Action in my daily tasks, like a mofo GPS programmed to a destination!
2. You’re Naturally More Consistent with your Spiritual Practice
When we add more structure or Strategy to our Spiritual practice we are more likely to show up consistently to it. This allows us to give up our excuses of “I never have time, space or energy for my spiritual growth, journaling or yoga practice”. Also with the benefit of more structure, you’re more committed to doing the Inner work and Meeting the Promises you make to yourself. Hence More Confidence & Soul Certainty! (Solar plexus Chakra empowered! )
3. You Gain Back Your Time and Even Energy
Do you know how much, wasted energy goes into something when we’re not structured on the goal, task, or outcome? Sure we can argue here that Flow takes us on detours for a reason. However, think about how much time is often wasted when we’re not even clear or Intentional about what we’re going to do. For example, If you know what you’re going to eat for dinner tonight, you are less likely to spend an hour trying to figure out What’s for dinner or rummaging in the cabinets for ideas. Then on Hungry impulse, you make something really unhealthy because you’re now starving. In the same way, If you have a sacred space you go to each morning at 8 am to journal or meditate, you are more likely to show up and just do it. Instead of, you know waffling around with your own resistance and ego mind-chatter talking you out of it. Likewise, If you put on your workout gear, with the sporty bra, you are more likely to just jump into your workout. Case in point. Structure changes lives. 😉
So now that we know the benefits of Structure, What are some easy ways you can start to Incorporate More Structure into your Spiritual Life? We all need a little bit of Order inside of all of this collective chaos, right? Right.
7 Ways To Track, Plan, and Create More Structure for Your Spiritual Growth Journey
Since I carry my own Spiritual Awakened Life Digital planner with me every day and it helps clear my head on the daily, I started adding more of my spiritual growth into my Daily Planner. It felt pretty natural to start adding my spiritual journey into my daily, weekly & monthly planning sessions. Now when I go to Plan my Entire Week, I have my Birds Eye View of my Momma Everyday Tasks, My Career Tasks, and My Spiritual Growth all together! This helps me stay organized and helps my Mental well-being too.
Let’s be frank, Writing things down keeps my mind clear and sane. I am less stressed when I write things down, this makes me naturally more Intuitive and Present-minded.  Here are 7 ways I track and structure My Life included in both my planner & Journal
1 – Break down your Entire Week with Intentionality
Do you know what’s happening during the entire week or are you flying blind by the seat of your pants? Probably the most used page in my entire planner is The Weekly Intentions Page.
At the start of the week, I allow myself some time to loosely plan what my focus is for the week with Intention. Each day is broken down, I see my weekly schedule. I write down my Self-care ideas, Mind-Body Spiritual Practices, What I want to work on for fitness, business, Important Dates I have, School or family gatherings, Fun Activities, and so forth. I plan the Bird’s eye view of All of my goals both Spiritual, lifestyle, and business. There is something about the Bird eye’s view of my schedule that just clears my brain completely.
2 – Use Habit Trackers For Your Meditation or Spiritual Practice
One of the most unconventional things I do for my Spiritual practice is I like to use Habit Trackers for Radical Conscious Awareness. This is a mini trick that I NEVER see mentioned in personal development and It’s helped me with Self-Awareness repeatedly so I can Track my consistency, emotions and energy levels. Habit Trackers are really helpful if you have a hard time Following through on your spiritual practice or you have a lot of excuses to commit to a practice (real talk). The Habit tracker gives you a reward system to promote consistency, discipline, and Structure! You know if you commit to 25 days of Meditation, you now have the Awareness of How often you are meditating vs. just going off your impulse of meditating when you feel like it. You can also set up habit trackers with a Fun End Goal in mind, like if you do 25 days of meditation you treat yourself to an oracle deck or a gourmet chocolate – depending on your personality this may or may not work for you. Play with it!
In general, incorporating Habit Trackers into ANY SKILL or HABIT you’re wishing to bring to life is so so good for increasing motivation and consistency in any skill. I cannot recommend Habit trackers enough for Conscious Awareness and more Mindfulness.
3 – Track Your Self-Care & Mental Wellness
Another way you can Track Your Spiritual Growth with more Structure is to lay out a Self-Care Plan! With a Holistic Wellness Tracker you can Write down your weekly plan of Self-care & mental health. For example: How many hours you slept, your Spiritual practice, self-care routine, mindset work, Daily Joy and even Creativity. Keeping track of your Mental Wellness, allows you to see where you may be lacking. Maybe you need more daily joy, mindset love, consistency of spiritual practice or more daily recharge with a self-care ritual. When we keep track of our Mental Wellness, we’re more aware of how we might be letting things slip through the cracks like sleep or self-care for instance. This awareness also gives you a look into Why your mood or emotions might be behaving in a certain way. Now you’re aware you got only 5 hours of sleep last night, maybe you won’t be so hard on yourself that you’re not as productive as you should be. 🙂
4 – Increase Your Mindful Eating with a Food Log & Meal Prep
If you’re working on increasing more mindful eating, looking to lose weight, gain weight or simply eat more healthy, you could start recording a weekly food log for more Awareness. Some people are not aware of What They eat throughout an entire day or especially during the holidays! (guilty 🙂 ) This helps give you the Conscious Awareness of Tracking what you eat from Morning to Night. You might surprise yourself with this, maybe you’re not realizing what food groups you consistently crave or eat. In the same regard, maybe like me, your food diet has to change for your menstrual cycle and you cycle sync your diet around it. Being aware of the shift in what you’re eating during each phase of your cycle is also hugely beneficial to less painful symptoms and hormonal Mood swings.
Likewise, we have to talk about the Benefits of Meal Prepping! My man used to think I was crazy because I always Prep a week ahead on what i’m making for the week. Now I use Everyplate for designing my meal flow for the week and then on the weeks I don’t use Everyplate, I write down a list of ideas of new Pinterest recipes I want to try each day of the week. Maybe I don’t want a big fancy thing on Monday so this is an easy meal day and so forth. This is a very unconventional way to increase your Mindful Eating Habits by structuring ahead your meal plan for the week.
5 – The Mindful Breakfast of Champions: Using Daily Intentions in your Daily Schedule
Do you want to know How I stay organized with such a crazy schedule sometimes? One thing I cannot live without is my Daily Intentions! I always take the time every single morning to write my intentions for the day and often look at my planner for my daily schedule. (I’ll be honest, sometimes I am not THIS ORGANIZED with my schedule, I am a mom afterall and distractions happen allthetime…mylittlepony) but Daily Intentions are a MUST.
In my Spiritually Awakened Life Planner, I have it broken down by: Weekly Goals, Daily mantra/affirmation, Daily Vision, Spiritual Practice breakdown, Daily Joys, Movement Exercise isolation by muscle group, Daily Schedule, your Classic To-do List, followed by the big kahuna, Daily Intentions.
Do I do all of that every day 7 times a week? Not always, I like to take the weekends off and holidays 🤣 However, This combination keeps me Mentally Disciplined and Structured with Pure Intention for my Daily workflow. I’m like a Laser beam of intent when I do it!
Sometimes My Daily Schedule looks like this:
For example, After I do my Daily Affirmations and set up my Intentions, I look at asking myself: MIND: Did I do my daily journaling for my mindset and Intentions?
BODY: My Daily Movement and Muscle Isolation today?
SOUL: What is my spiritual practice today? WEEKLY GOALS: What’s my 3 Goals this week? TOP PRIORITIES: What are the Top 3 Things I must focus on today? BRAINDUMP TO-DOS: Write down my Daily To-do List. IMPORTANT DATES: What needs done this week? & What is happening? DAILY MANTRA: What is inspiring me lately? DESIRES: How do I desire to feel today? ➡️This Mindful Schedule setup allows me to easily live with more Intention in my Daily Routine and Spiritual Life. I invite you to consider: how can you start to add more Intention into your daily routine?
6 – Working with the Moon with Monthly Rituals
One way to bring more Flow into your Structure is by creating a practice of working with the Moon. You can set up New moon Intentions and Full Moon Releasing rituals to help you begin your journey into Moon Rituals. This is something I do periodically where I set up my Own Manifesting and Healing Rituals for the Moon. I use my Digital Planner as a Guide to help keep my notes in order.
You use the New Moon Sheets for your Goals and Intentions you wish to call in.
Then you use the Full Moon prompts for Healing, Releasing, Closure and Letting go.
It’s one of my favorite ways to add more rituals into my Spiritual Life. Working with the moon has enormous benefits to it. This is why I also recommend Moon charting If you’re new to working with the Moon so you can see the benefits yourself. Right now it’s featured in our Giftmas – 12 days of Gift giving for the Holidays.Try it out yourself!
7 – Yearly Vision & Goal Mapping Even By Quarter!
Here’s the truth, If you don’t sit down and ask yourself what you even want, how do you know? This is where Yearly vision and Goal Mapping come in. The #1 Way to get more Intentional with Spiritual Growth and Consistent Goals is to Know What you’re aiming at.
What is your Target? aka Your Vision, Goals & Soul Desires.
If you have no target – You have nothing to aim towards and this is what you tell the Universe. In my Spiritual Awakened Life Planner, There is Yearly Visioning, Quarter Goal Check in and Goal Mapping sheets. These help you develop clarity on your goals and desires, period. This is so you know how to go into the New Year with supreme FOCUS and know your WHY behind your Goals, keeping you in more alignment.
Getting Clear on your Spiritual Growth, regardless of what you’re wishing to accomplish, requires sitting down and looking at the Vision. You can’t get clear on growth or worry about your lack of consistency, if you don’t know what your direction even is. Likewise, you can’t make a resolution on trying to lose weight, without a REALISTIC PLAN to back that up.
Why Resolutions Often Fail is the Lack of Realism
This is why most resolutions fail. They don’t have the Mindset or Realism to back up their goals with consistent action due to lack of planning. The best way to add more Structure to your Spiritual Journey is to Get Clear on your goals. Do you have goals? What is the Vision for your Life? What do you even want? How do you desire to feel? Do your thoughts support your goals? Are you taking action on them? This is work we do heavily in Awaken Your Aligned Vision Workshop. The Workshop for Your New Year Goals to help set you up for success in the New Year. It’s now featured inside of The new Monthly Membership, The Soul-aligned Life Academy!
In conclusion, My biggest lesson of the year is that strategy is KEY to Intuitive Flow and Alignment. I know that Tracking my Spiritual growth, Daily Intentions & even goals in my one place every day lets me reflect. This is one of the most excellent ways to be consistent and add more structure to your Spiritual Awakened Life. I hope you enjoyed these powerful strategies to help you on your own spiritual growth journey.
Goddd why is the internet so tiring sometimes like it's a poll about CATS!!! Why the fuck are you trying to push your weird anti-minecraft cringe culture beliefs on it and even more just parroting whatever the fuck you've heard from twitter in order to paint all minecraft youtubers as "problematic" just because there was some problematic people in the genre like hello???
There's assholes in every demographic yet somehow because this one cat is owned by a creator who makes content for a genre you don't like, he MUST be problematic and therefore his CAT too
It's genuinely upsetting and honestly such fun polls gets sullied by shitty people who just hate anyone who dares touch one of the most popular video games in the past decade because of a couple of bad eggs in the community. They don't even have to have interacted with these bad eggs, they just have to have just so happen to make videos about the same video game as them.
Scar BARELY has anything to do with most problematic content creators and yet he and his deceased cat still gets dragged by people who find minecraft cringe and hide it under the guise of thinking any and every minecraft youtuber is simply problematic therefore it's okay to harass them and their fans and spread hatred towards their pets ackshully.
He is legitimately one of the most wholesome minecraft creators in the platform that had constantly inspired many disabled people because of his positivity and his frankness about his experiences with both his physical and mental disabilities and experiences with the medical industry, both positive and negative. All of this doesn't matter though because he plays minecraft so he must be someone who agrees with problematic minecraft youtuber man #34 so he's definitely problematic even if I don't know anything about him. And his cat, Jellie, regardless of how you feel about Scar himself or if he is worth redeeming just because he plays minecraft with his friends, gets thrown under the bus for simply being the pet of this creator because she's just some rando cat of a minecraft youtuber so of course I should also hate her. Oh she died? Well sucks to suck because she's still some youtuber's cat. How problematic of her.
This also happened in other polls like the one from a few months ago with Jimmy being shitted on by outsiders from the fandom to the point that the person who was running the poll had to remove him because of the harassment that they were receiving. This is despite the fact that Jimmy is genuinely one of the most inoffensive minecraft youtubers out there who actively scolds his friends for even making light innuendos whenever they play. "Being bad at video games isn't being doomed by the narrative" says the fans of TTRPG youtube series which is based on game strategy and random chance and has some similarities with sandbox games. And of course, he's also problematic because he plays minecraft. Nevermind you don't actually known anything about him, his character, or the story that people are referring to. He plays minecraft therefore he is problematic.
It happened with other polls like the trans swag poll where people were so giddy to misgender REAL LIFE trans people (not just the characters they played) just because these other fans' FICTIONAL blorbos were up against them in the polls. They would assume any and all people who had ever created minecraft content are cis simply just because of, again, some bad actors that they had or had not associated with in the past. It doesn't matter if they had not spoken about or even actively denounced this bad actor either, they played with that person once upon a time so therefore misgendering them isn't transphobic guys I swear! They're just cringe problematic cis people they couldn't possibly be trans! and if they are they're the bad kind of trans so it's totally cool to misgender them!
I'm not even asking people to like minecraft youtubers or change their minds about perpetuating this new kind of cringe culture but just questioning what is it that makes the term "minecraft youtuber" make these people just assume the worst, and, even further, resort to VILE comments and behavior that border on outright bigotry? Why is it that seeing "minecraft youtubers" make these people think that harassment and hatred sent to the fans and even just the poll makers is justified regardless of the actual stance of the person that had brought them up? Why do these people think that it's appropriate or even funny to make jokes about dead pets or to jokingly misgender trans people just because they're associated with the term "minecraft youtuber"?
I don't know
This won't be rebloggable
I'm tired
I have developed a new youtube strategy and if I don't write it down I'll forget but it's working nicely to find wholesome and delightful woodworking stuff I would never have otherwise found/looked at.
ah this is going to go long so executive summary: this is not really about my new youtube strategy but it is about youtube stuff I like and why. And a bit about my youtube strategy I guess. and how I have autism lmao.
For instance this guy:
youtube
makes very quietly-spoken, mostly shop footage and talking to camera (and a bit of inserted reference footage or pov shots, too) videos, making nice furniture out of nice hardwoods and self-made recycled skateboard plywood.
This all delivered with an affect my wife wife described as "radiating warmth and light" and a genuinely engaging and crucially understated enthusiasm. perfect blend of cali skater zen and also manual crafts zen.
Obligatory #youtube grammar notes: nothing egregious so far! One word really caught my attention (not enough for me to, like, remember what it was for sure - I think it was furthermore?), as being far enough away from exactly right as to be jarring also (Andrew if you ever read this I am trying very hard to write this in a way that doesn't seem, like, aggressively negative but if it does, [and this is unsolicited criticism so why wouldn't it] as a countermeasure: you're doing great! one and a half weird words in idk half an hour of footage is frankly incredible. and your videos are lovely. thanks!). The 'half' was one instance out of several uses of 'itself' also hit wrong but I can't explain why even to myself so who cares.
Anyway, it's exactly my shit except a lot of his thumbnails look like high energy sfx-heavy youtube maker stuff yelled at me by a bro (Sorry again Andrew once again you are doing great!) which I would never click on except for my grand strategy of:
subscribe early, subscribe often
just like follow links in videos when you watch a nice video and the presenter says 'inspired by a video from ...' - if they make the kind of videos you want, there's a better than average chance people that inspire them do too.
Yes, the second thing should have been blindingly obvious, but I have a medical condition and don't have to notice things.
Mostly it's that the links are now in the readmore of the description field, and I usually don't read those because they register in my brain as post signatures, so I maybe read the whole readmore once per channel.
(for the sake of internet epoch claiming the relevant signatures are on usenet)
That is, I expect the description to have the same content all the time after the obligatory first line modification (i.e. the actual video description text). There's usually a huge identical section of socmed links, affiliate links to products used in the video, affiliate links to endorsed products/channel sponsors generally.
So I didn't know that sometimes there are video/channel links in there, ok? Also there's a popup info panel but I think I adblocked it lmao.
Anyway. Subscribe early, subscribe often, though: Because windows just shuts itself the fuck down whenever it wants, and chrome no longer restores smashed windows by default (presumably for ultimately surveillance-enhancing reasons), and I have watch history turned off on youtube (yeah I know but also listen being paranoid about the internet is my actual job I am allowed to be a weirdo if I want), once I open a linked video in a new tab or whatever, if the video looks cool I subscribe immediately, because I won't watch it now and I'll lose the tab tomorrow.
Anyway this is probably exactly the usage model youtube would like me to have, but because I have watch history turned off I don't get youtube's """highly curated""" recommended bullshit, I only see <search results for niche interest query> and stuff recommended from videos I'm already subscribed to. So like sort of their model but much more actually useful to me.
cool strategy bro
but yeah the real question is hey do you know any more channels like this for carpentry/metalwork/basically any craft stuff? hit me with yr haberdashery yr leatherwork your embroidery - but not cooking for some reason. because they are extremely important for my little mental health right now cheers
🚀 Shorts vs. Videos: The Battle for YouTube Growth 🎥
Hey there, fellow content creators and YouTube enthusiasts! 🌟 If you've been on the platform for a while or you're just starting out, you've probably wondered about the best strategy for growing your YouTube channel. In the ever-evolving world of online content, the Shorts feature and traditional videos are two powerful tools at your disposal. But which one should you prioritize? 🤔 Let's dive into this debate!
The Value of Shorts 📹
Shorts, YouTube's answer to the rise of short-form video content, have taken the platform by storm. Here's why they're worth your attention:
Visibility: Shorts have their own dedicated section on the YouTube app, increasing your chances of getting discovered by a wider audience.
Quick Engagement: With their bite-sized format, Shorts are perfect for capturing viewers' attention in a matter of seconds.
Trends and Virality: Trending Shorts can explode in popularity, bringing a surge of new subscribers to your channel.
Accessibility: Creating Shorts doesn't require fancy equipment; your smartphone is all you need.
But before you dive headfirst into Shorts, consider the other side of the coin.
The Strength of Traditional Videos 🎬
Depth and Detail: Standard videos allow you to explore topics in-depth, offering more value to your audience.
Brand Identity: They give you a chance to build a unique brand with a consistent style and voice.
Monetization: Longer videos often generate more revenue through ads and sponsorships.
SEO Potential: Longer videos can target a wider range of keywords, improving your discoverability.
So, Which One Should You Choose? 🤷‍♂️
The answer isn't a simple one-size-fits-all. It depends on your goals, niche, and audience. Here's a suggestion:
Start with Shorts: Use Shorts to experiment, engage with trends, and grab attention. It's an excellent way to get your foot in the door.
Invest in Videos: As your channel grows, balance Shorts with longer, high-quality videos to provide substance and build a dedicated following.
Remember, success on YouTube takes time and consistency. Regardless of your choice, keep these key points in mind:
💡 Key Insights:
Shorts: Quick engagement, trending potential.
Videos: In-depth content, brand building, monetization potential.
🌟 Don't limit yourself to just one format. A blend of both Shorts and videos can be a winning strategy!
Audience Personas: Crafting Your Idealized Customer
The Power of Personal Connection
When you look at how huge the internet is, and dreams seem to come true when you go viral, it might seem like aiming to reach as many people as possible is the best approach. But really, the brands that stand out and make a lasting impression are the ones that know their audience and connect with them in a meaningful way. That's where audience personas come in - they're like a map to help you find and connect with your ideal customers.
Audience personas aren't just boring profiles - they're all about understanding the people you want to connect with on a deeper level. You need to know what makes 'Jane' tick, what 'Rohan' struggles with, and what a day in the life of 'Alejandro' looks like. By using audience personas, you'll be able to create messages that really speak to people.
The Basics of Audience Personas
Let's chat about personas! They're seriously powerful and can help you get a clear picture of the people you're trying to reach. Here's what it really means.
Definition and Purpose: At its core, an audience persona is a fictional representation of your perfect customer. But it's not just some random imaginary character. You should build this character based on real data and insights from your actual customers. Why bother, you may ask? It's simple, really. Personas help you create content and marketing that's just what your customers are looking for. That way, everything in your strategy feels like it's tailor-made just for them.
Beyond Traditional Demographics: Sure, age, gender, and location are important. But audience personas are way more than just a list of statistics. They're all about the dreams, challenges, and motivations of your ideal customer. For example, let's say your data tells you your customer is a 28-year-old woman who lives in New York. A persona might take it a step further and remind you she's a young entrepreneur with a green thumb who's all about sustainable fashion and has trouble finding eco-friendly suppliers.
Coherent Brand Message: Have you ever come across a brand that just gets you? That's because they've got a refined persona that just so happened to align with you. You’re the type of person they were looking for! An audience persona ensures that your message hits home, and all your content feels like it's made just for your audience. Because let's be real, your brand is more than just a cool logo or a great website. It's about the story, the connection, and the vibe.
At Constant Creates, we always like to mention a consistent brand identity is key to making that connection. And a well-crafted audience persona is one of the many tools to help you transform your brand into a story that speaks straight to your audience's heart.
Elements of a Well-Defined Persona
Every artisan needs their toolkit, and when crafting audience personas, there are certain tools you simply can’t do without. Here’s what goes into building that perfect persona:
Descriptive Information:
Name: Gives your persona a human touch.
Age: Helps in understanding generational perspectives.
Occupation: Offers insight into their daily life, challenges, and aspirations.
Other demographics like location, family status, or education can further refine the picture.
Psychographic Elements:
Hobbies: Are they into yoga? Maybe they love indie music festivals?
Interests: What sparks their curiosity? Tech? Art? Travel?
Challenges: What problems do they face in their daily life or in business?
Motivations: What drives them to act, purchase, or engage?
Communication & Consumption Habits:
Do they listen to podcasts during their daily commute?
Are they active on LinkedIn or more of an Instagram fan?
How do they prefer businesses to reach out to them? Email newsletters or YouTube videos?
Connecting with your audience is an art, my friend, and we're here to help. It's about weaving a visual and emotional tapestry that captures their attention. And just like a work of art, every element, every color, every shade matters. That's why, at Constant Creates, we emphasize the importance of crafting cohesive visuals to complement your brand, because your audience deserves nothing but the best.
Creating Your Ideal Client Using Visual Tools
Imagine a blank canvas, waiting for your first brushstroke. 🎨 When crafting audience personas, you're essentially painting a portrait of your dream client. Using visual tools not only makes this process more vivid but also more accurate.
The Power of Visual Representation: Our brains process visual information 60,000 times faster than text. When you have an illustrated or visualized persona, you can instantly grasp who they are, what they like, and how they might respond to your brand's message. It's all about creating an immediate connection.
Illustrations for Clarity: An illustrated persona is more than just an avatar. It embodies the soul of your target audience. From the clothes they might wear to the gadgets they use, these finer details paint a comprehensive picture. Our team at Constant Creates specializes in Character Designs and Illustrations that capture the essence of your brand's audience.
Aesthetic Alignment with Brand Visuals: Your brand is unique, a reflection of your passion and drive. Your persona's visual representation should mirror this. By ensuring aesthetic alignment between your persona and your brand, you craft a seamless narrative that resonates on every level.
Diving Deep with Psychographics
When it comes to truly connecting with your audience, age, gender, and location are just the tip of the iceberg! To really understand what makes your audience tick, you need to dive deeper into the ocean of psychographics. 🌊
Beyond Surface Metrics: It's easy to get caught up in the numbers, but real connections happen when you understand the heart and soul of your audience. What are their dreams, fears, and desires? Psychographics offer a treasure trove of insights into this intimate territory.
Aligning Brand's Values with Your Audience: Authenticity is more than just a buzzword. In branding, it means aligning your brand's values with those of your audience. When these stars align, magic happens. Think of it as a dance. When both partners move in harmony, the dance feels fluid and captivating.
Design and Content Choices Informed by Psychographics
Color Palettes: Did you know that colors can evoke emotions? The shade you choose can either soothe or energize your audience. Dive deep into our guide on Color Psychology in Social Media Design to make informed choices.
Font Styles: From bold to elegant, the font you pick tells a story. It's a subtle yet powerful way to convey your brand's ethos.
Remember, your brand is more than just a logo or a tagline. It's a living entity with a heart, soul, and voice. And understanding your audience, visualizing them, and resonating with their inner world is the key to unlocking a genuine connection. Discover more about the magic behind it with our post Finding Your People: The Power of Understanding Your Target Audience.
Watch Out for These Traps When Creating Audience Personas
Creating audience personas can be super helpful, but there are a few things that could get in the way while building them. Don't worry, we've got your back, and we'll make sure you don't get lost in the process.
The Assumption Trap: It's easy to rely on your gut instinct and make assumptions when you're imagining your ideal audience. But be careful; assumptions can lead to some major marketing failures. Always back up your personas with solid research, data, and insights.
The Over-Segmentation Maze: While it's important to be specific, don't get too carried away with breaking everything down into tiny segments. If you try to please everyone, you might end up pleasing no one. So, strive for balance. Your brand should have a clear voice that speaks authentically to your core audience.
Stale Personas – The Silent Killer: Things change, markets evolve, people grow and change, and new trends pop up all the time. If you're still using a persona that you created five years ago, you're probably not getting the results you want. Make sure to regularly update and refine your personas to make sure they reflect your current audience.
Avoiding these traps isn't just about avoiding mistakes; it's about finding your way to success. For more tips on what to watch out for in your branding journey, check out Steer Clear of These 7 Brand Identity Mistakes for Business Success.
Crafting Your Brand’s Future
Introduction:
Instagram is the second-most popular or successful platform in Social Media Marketing after Facebook for promoting your business. Instagram is a great social media platform that allows many small businesses to promote themselves. One hundred million people use Instagram to share images daily. A brand constantly seeks new methods to engage with its target market. Instagram is one of the platforms that have a metric increase and provide regular business growth. Also, Instagram helps goods increase the show off your products, especially by placing them in the minds of common people.
Why is Instagram so Important for Business?
Nowadays, Instagram is a very common and widely used social media platform to conduct marketing campaigns. Using Instagram for business can increase sales, establish and track audience engagement, and promote brand exposure. Instagram only focuses on a premium visual experience, making visual content the greatest way to engage with your followers.
How Your Instagram Account Grows Your Business:
It takes strategic time and effort to grow your business on Instagram. Here are 8 steps are listed below that help to grow your business on Instagram:
Begin by posting High-Quality Content to your Instagram post. To improve engagement on Instagram, content is the best strategy. You may obtain 1000 new followers quickly by posting quality content on your blog. Whatever the case, the content you created is perfect for the audience as well as having an excellent design. You need to think about promoting and sharing content that your audience creates.
Optimize Your Profile & Bio
Your Instagram bio and profile should be creative so that your audience knows what your brand is all about. Create an Instagram business account first. Add relevant hashtags in your bio and collaborate with other accounts to increase your reach. Add your company's URL in your bio to attract buyers. Make sure your username is different from your account name. Using a hashtag in the image will help users who are looking for a specific term. By using the correct hashtag combination, you can create content on "treading" issues and events. You are allowed to use up to 30 hashtags on regular posts and 10 hashtags on Instagram stories.
Analysis and Tracking your Post
Using Instagram, you can also check the performance of your Instagram post. We suggest that you track your followers and bring them to the website. Use Instagram Analytics tools  Instagram Insight to see how each post is performed. Click on each post to see who has seen your post.
Explore Different Content
Like other social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, etc., Instagram also allows the creation and sharing of content. Use different content, such as videos and reels, to grow your reach and boost engagement on Instagram. This is the most effective way to promote your business. You can get highly creative content because it is based on images and videos. More detailed information about your product can be found in live videos and stories. With polls, you can also give people the opportunity to participate.
Post Schedule
You should focus your efforts on creating and following a posting schedule. Identify the best time and topic for your audience and follow that instruction. Owner of a business, you don't have time to manage Instagram every day. You can schedule your Instagram post already, allowing you to concentrate on your other tasks. There are many post-scheduling platforms available, but Hootsuite is the most user-friendly.
Gain Followers From Your Competitive
You need a covert follower of the competition if you want to build your small business quickly on Instagram. In the steal followers technique, you don't need to analyze their interest in your content because they are already following accounts that are similar to yours. There are several methods to interact with Instagram users, including following, liking, commenting, and more. Finding your nearest most competitive Instagram account is one of the best ways to gain new followers.
Repeating Patterns of Destruction?
Hi there and happy Monday,
Today I wanted to share a topic that is unfortunately all too familiar for many of us: Repeating patterns of suffering. These patterns can manifest in various ways, such as negative self-talk, toxic relationships, or self-destructive behaviors, and they can keep us feeling stuck, unhappy, and trapped in a cycle of pain. However, there are ways to break free from these patterns and create a more fulfilling life. Let's dive in.
First, it's important to understand why we repeat patterns of suffering in the first place. Many people believe we unconsciously recreate past experiences that were painful or traumatic as a way to gain mastery over them. In other words, we try to rewrite the story of our past by repeating it, hoping that this time we can control the outcome. However, this often leads to the same negative patterns repeating themselves over and over again, keeping us trapped in a cycle of suffering.
So, how do we break free from these patterns?
Here are some tips:
Mindfulness meditation: Mindfulness meditation can help us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings, and create space between them and our reactions. This can help us break free from automatic, unconscious patterns of behavior and allow us to make more conscious, intentional choices.
Affirmations: Affirmations are positive statements that we repeat to ourselves to help shift our mindset and beliefs. By replacing negative self-talk with positive affirmations, you can reprogram your subconscious mind and create a more positive, empowering inner dialogue.
Spiritual Coaching: Coaching and especially Shadow Work can help us identify and process the root causes of our repeating patterns as well as provide us with tools and strategies to break free from them. Spiritual coaching along with energy medicine can be very effective in helping individuals overcome repeating patterns of suffering.
Self-care: Taking care of ourselves physically, emotionally, and spiritually can help us build resilience and reduce the likelihood of falling back into old patterns. This can include activities such as exercise, meditation, spending time in nature, and engaging in creative pursuits.
Breaking free from repeating patterns of suffering is not easy, but it is possible. By being mindful, using positive affirmations, seeking a coach, and practicing self-care, we can create a more fulfilling and joyful life. Remember, you deserve to be happy and free from suffering.
At Serenity Reiki Clinic, we offer energy sessions and coaching to assist you in this process. I'm also in the process of developing a free 10-day email challenge to show you how you can easily end this cycle of needless suffering. It will be out this summer, so stay tuned.
Other News:
-The Reiki Clinic was invited to join Recast TV. We will still be on Youtube, but will offer new content on this platform. Our channel is here:  https://share.recast.tv/u/8gPr3?referrer=8gPr3 If you want to follow us.
- I should have the UK July dates for Reiki I and Spiritual Reiki locked in next week. I will also be seeing clients in person (how exciting!) and of course making videos.
-We opened up another day for Spiritual Reiki Attunements in Amsterdam! (Email for info)
But now this post has turned into a novella and I really need to get back to work, lol
How To Become A Successful Content Creator: 9 Tips
An individual who creates content for a digital platform, such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or a blog, is referred to as a content creator.
It doesn't matter whether they work for a company or agency in-house, freelance, or are independent (such as influencers).
The creation of virtual content has become increasingly important to the global economy. Those individuals who are monetizing themselves and their talents by creating content online are considered part of the creator economy.
An Internet entrepreneur whose main product is themselves and their unique talents are known as a creator.
People can reach an audience directly through the creation of online content, earning money through their own subscription fees or revenue-sharing agreements with hosting platforms. Partnerships and sponsorships with companies, as well as brand deals, can also serve as income sources for creators.
Creator economies are becoming increasingly popular among millennials and Gen Z, especially through influencer marketing and online courses. Dancers can record and post their latest routine and writers can send out new articles to subscribers. Everyone can participate in and profit from the creator economy.
Why Do We Need Content Creators?
Everybody who wants an online presence needs a content strategy and creation plan, regardless of whether they are a corporation, an organization, a small business, or an individual. Several marketing strategies are based on the importance of having an online presence. The use of strategic content isn't just limited to businesses. By boosting engagement rates, traffic, and other metrics like follower count, individuals bolster their personal brand presence and drive revenue from advertising. An expert content creator can significantly improve your brand's persona, increase traffic, generate quality leads, rank for relevant keywords, or increase your brand's ranking for relevant keywords. As a content creator, you can find work in agencies, in-house teams, or as a freelancer. In these categories, you can find jobs in design, photography, videography, and content writing. The pros and cons of each vary greatly by where you work but they should give you a general idea.
How to Become a Content Creator
Tumblr media
1. Build your expertise in a niche.
First, you need a topic for your content. You can choose anything. Creating content is not just about how beautiful your writing is or how magical your videos are. They do play a role, of course. However, content creation is primarily about your ideas. You can spend as much time refining your work as you like, but if you do not have something to share - or if you do not have the necessary knowledge - your efforts will be in vain. Just don't expect anyone to care. Creating successful content requires starting with an area of expertise or knowledge that you have or can develop. It's OK if you lack expertise right now. Rather, it's a fantastic way to begin. Take a moment to document your journey and create content around how you are learning, practicing, and gaining knowledge.
