when i see people against using the term transandrophobia its all "just men trying to steal the spotlight from women again" "trans men just keep bandwagoning on things trans women are already doing" "they dont experience things as badly as trans women do" "terfs focus more on trans women so we should be talking just about that" "theyre just using this to say that TRANS WOMEN are their opressors!! its just transmisogyny!" "a bunch of TME people and theyfabs trying to say they have it worse"
then i see people that actually talk about transandrophobia and theyre just. in their own communities discussing the problems they face, trying to get people to not completely ignore their issues, and that they deserve to be treated decently and not as evil or that theyve become worse or betraying women for transitioning into their proper gender.
i think yall who hate these discussions are just falling into queer terminology discourse and oppression olympics and infighting (and radfem juice for sure), all of which we say again and again does nothing but help people that want all of us dead. this shit is stupid as fuck

Need more women who are bears I don't just mean butch women, nor do I mean exclusively butch women. I mean we need more women who are bears. I want a hairy mildly chubby lady who could deadlift me, regardless of their position on the butch/fem axis.

its really specific and kind of petty but I hate being able to do something cool but because I'm not a conventionally attractive cis woman if I posted a video of me doing it it'd get like ten notes but if I was 5'4" with a full chest and a slim figure it'd be at like 140k notes. Part of me is like yeah Idc I don't want the attention but another part of me is like well I'm mad that if I did it wouldn't go anywhere bc of that.

My little girl's birthday is on 8/15. In just two days, she will be three full years old. She lived ten months of her life between fear, illness, terror, shock, displacement and deprivation. She was deprived of everything: the affection of her father, which she needed from her simplest needs, diapers and milk, even clothes, her toys and clean water. She was deprived of a good bath. She lived through great suffering and was shocked by the killing of her beloved father in front of her. She saw all the events, so much so that from the severity and enormity of the shock, she could no longer speak anything. Her beautiful steps, which I used to look at with happiness, she could no longer skip. She loved to look at ballet dancers and stand on her feet and start imitating them a little. I was waiting for her to grow up a little so that I could register her in ballet dance education centers and see her achieve her dream. But after everything that happened, how can her dream be achieved? It has become very difficult, but everything can be changed with your help. Please do not abandon my little girl. Donate for her, please.
Hello! I sincerely hope you and all of your family are doing as well as you can today; especially Almas.
—————————
Today is my friend, Hadeel’s, daughter’s birthday. So please allow me to tell y’all about her.
Almas is turning three years old today (August 15), but has spent the last ten months of her life in this genocide.
During this time, instead of being able to learn and grow as any child has the right to, Almas has witnessed horrific atrocities, including her own father’s death, directly in front of her. These traumatic events have led her to regressing developmentally, being unable to speak when previously being able, and returning to uncontrollable urination, meaning she requires diapers every day. This isn’t even to speak of other basic needs those of us outside of Gaza take for granted, such as food, water, and secure shelter.
Before everything, Almas was a happy little girl, who loved her family and loved to dance. Here is a photo of her with her mother.
Tumblr media
With the occupation increasing the intensity of its attacks, it becomes harder and harder for Hadeel, Almas’ mother and sole provider, to find the things that she and the rest of their 13-member family require for their survival.
So today, I ask all of you out there with the means to help: PLEASE consider sharing and donating for Almas, and for the rest of her family. Let us give her the gift of life and hope for her birthday.

we've talked about wyll's bit and we all know about astarion's bit but let's talk about gale's bit. let's talk about his presentation as the Ideal of what it is to be an archmage. the man wears purple velvet pajamas with an embroidered collar to camp in the underdark. he wears a gay little earring with mystra's symbol on it. its all fun and games to joke about his jammies but let's be clear: those things Fuck. he dresses well, he dresses richly, he is a wealthy lavish man who, in a world where things like long hair are not traditionally associated with femininity, is not what I would call gender nonconforming, but I think he does have a very interesting presentation.
robes and jewellery are traditionally associated with wizardry and femininity - or, if not femininity, at least nonmasculinity. theyre the garments of monks, eunuchs, and nuns, people who stand outside of the typical sex/gender binary for socially accepted reasons. traditionally most archmages are men (karsus, mordenkainen, elminster, etc) who perform this exact presentation. the doylist explanation is, of course, that dnd canon is inherently misogynistic, but the in-universe implication would suggest that to present in this way is not regarded as gender non-conformation but as class conformation. so our options are:
wizardry is for gayboys
'wizard' is its own gender
gender presentation is less important than getting that sweet sweet +1 spell save dc and everyone knows it
class is a gender modifier. this has interesting implications for the other classes - particularly ones like clerics, which might have prescribed uniforms or vestments - but given that faerun does have a not-insignificant classless, non-adventurer population- how does it work for them?
regardless, I think it's fair to say that gale's bit - like wyll's is the Blade of Frontiers and astarion's as the seductive rake - is The Archmage. he presents himself, from the start, as an academic, as a wizard. he's a friend of elminster, the (ex-)chosen of mystra, gale of waterdeep - he's everything a Wizard should be. even when he's tadpoled, camping in the woods, he carries a stack of unread books, wears mystra's symbol, wears his purple velvet jammies. he's presenting himself with care and thought, and giving a highly specific impression. I think it's really interesting that, as much as wyll and astarion, he's putting on a front, and it plays into his story. do you encourage the side of him that's ambitious and daring, the archmage, the man who pushes the boundaries of power and knowledge - or do you try to break that down, and place the value on the man who just wants to sit in front of the fire with his cat and read a book?

I may end having to watch Interview With The Vampire against my will and better judgement, because I just love mess, and BOY does it seem like it's just about messy, toxic, shitty gays, which is the representation i crave
