Yarn Dyed Fabrics
Yarn Dyed Fabrics: Where Artistry Meets Textile Innovation
Yarn dyed fabrics are a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship that elevate textiles to a whole new level. Unlike printed fabrics, where the design sits on the surface, yarn dyed fabrics are woven with threads pre-dyed in distinct colors, creating patterns and designs that run through the entire fabric. This results in a depth and richness of color that remains vibrant over time, making every garment or home textile a work of enduring beauty.
The meticulous process of yarn dyeing ensures that each thread is saturated with pigment before weaving, offering a longevity of color that resists fading. Whether it's classic stripes, intricate plaids, or intricate checks, yarn dyed fabrics bring a timeless and elegant aesthetic to your fashion or home decor. They are the preferred choice for those who seek quality and style that goes beyond the surface.
Choose yarn dyed fabrics for a touch of sophistication and textile excellence, where every thread tells a story of dedication to quality and design.

pervyroomate!Satoru who can't believe his luck when you answer his online ad for a roomate: "What made you seek out a male roommate, honey? Ain't cha scared the big bad wolf is gonna get ya in your sleep?" You scoff with a heavy eye roll. "Fuck no." He can't stop the smile slowly forming on his pretty face. 'Ya should be.' He thinks, already imagining how'd look naked and squirming beneath him as he made you cry on his cock.
pervyroomate!Satoru that despite his amazing mouth-watering muscles, he mostly watched as you move your belongings into his spacious 2 bd apt: "What the fuck, Gojo? You specifically demanded I not hire movers as you're 'stronger than any of those limp dick fuckers.'" You can't see how he leans against the wall amused, arms crossed and intently staring at the way your small cotton shorts gets lost between your plump brown ass cheeks as you struggle takin boxes to your new bedroom. "Sorry, the views just so damn spectacular. Lookin so fuckin good, baby." Your cheeks warm in embarrasment as you abandon the heavy box, rush into the room and slam the door. Satoru only chuckles, fixin his raging boner as he heads downstairs to get the rest of your stuff.
pervyroomate!Satoru does anything he can in the upcoming weeks to rile you up by any means: "Gojo, put on some goddamn clothes for christ sake. My girls are gone be here soon and none of em wanna see that fuckin shit." You grumble as you sit on the couch and turn on the Netflix app. He laughs heartily, dramatically ploppin down next to you. Its impossible not to notice how his naked chest ripples, how low his black briefs sit on his hips. His hypnotic ocean blue eyes linger on your thick cocoa thighs before meeting your gaze. "Fabrications. Your BFF cornered me in our kitchen just the other day.. Damn near begged me to dick her down. Wanted so bad to tell her I'm savin that for you." He leans in close to your stunned face to whisper his last sentence and gets up, heading to his bedroom. Your left starin at his spot on the couch with wide eyes and wet panties.
pervyroomate!Satoru purposely switched out the dark shower curtain a few months into you moving in with a clear one, finding any reason to disturb your alone time: "Hey y/n, need to brush my teeth real fast." Doesn't bother knocking, quickly stepping in before you have time to cover your wet body. His eyes seem a shade darker as he scans up and down your soapy, naked frame. A small 'fuck' escaping his pretty lips as he stares unashamed. "Gojo, what the hell?!" You screech, arms quickly covering your glistening breasts as you cup your other hand over your pussy. You could literally melt on the spot at the way she clenches at his intense gaze. "Get the fuck out!" The damn pervert looks on for a moment longer, actually having the audacity to palm his cock a few times. "Okay okay, baby, damn. Why you gotta be like that? You showed me yours, don't you want me to show you mine?" He asks with pouty lips as he finally backs out the bathroom, arms raised in surrender. You stop shielding your tits to throw a bar of dove soap at his stark white locks. He only chuckles, quickly shutting the door to avoid impact. "Fuckin creep, Gojo!!"
pervyroomate!Satoru flirts with you relentlessly, crossing every boundary and every line over the next few months: "You gettin the snacks, babe?" Satoru calls from the front room. You roll your eyes at the pet name before you feel a stinging SMACK! to your plump behind. "Ow, Gojo! You fuckin asshole. Quit it!" You swat at the childish nuisance but he dodges your attack easily, leaning against the kitchen counter a few feet away. Fuckin guy has spent the better part of the day smackin your ass while yelling 'Smack Ass Friday!' like a damn teenager. "Awe, come on pretty! Love watchin how your ass bounces when I do it." He coos at you before swerving a bag of doritos you quickly chuck his way. "Boy, I don't give a fuck. You touch it again and you're goin down." It's insulting how lightly he takes your threat; walking right up, grabbin a handful of each ass cheek and smashing your hips together. His half hard dick feels chubby as fuck against you, girth of him makin you gasp and clutch as his shoulders. Your insides clench at the feelin of him pressed against you. "Fuck, I been waitin to go down on you. Name the time and place sweetheart." He tells you sweetly, swiping his thumb across your bottom lip, kissing you on the cheek and retreating to the living room. Damn this man must love leaving you speechless, heart and pussy fluttering to his dirty words.
pervyroomate!Satoru notices how much you love how he smells: whether it's his natural scent or cologne. You take his shirts without his permission too often, only wantin the ones he'd previously worn. Loves how he comes home late one night and catches you in one of his stolen white t-shirts. Neckline pulled up to your nose, tittes jiggling wildly underneath as you play with yourself. He stares between the crack of your bedroom door, hand swiftly squeezin at his dick as he watches you mindlessly rub yourself over your underwear. y/e/c eyes shut tight, quietly moaning his name like a fuckin prayer. "Toruuuuu! Fuh-uuuck Satoru, love how you smell. Mmmm, soooo good. Want you so m-much, need you to fuck me Toru!" His mouth hangs wide open as he humps his hand faster atop his light blue jeans, absolutely entranced how you frantically rub at your throbbing lil pearl. "Ahhhh! Oh my god, Toru please!" He's so greatful for a front row seat to witness you cum like a fuckin virgin. Fuck are you one? Can't help his deranged whisper as he commits the scene to memory. "That's it, baby. Cum for me. Fuck.. I know that lil pussy's so gushy for me right now. Can't wait to see it up close, gonna make her cream all over me pretty girl." Head pushed back into your fluffy pink pillow, pretty y/h/c hair splayed out makin you look like a goddess in the throes of passion to him. "Wanna cum on your cock, Satoruuuu!" His shirt rides up on you, showing him how your tummy pudge jiggles as your body convulses into an arch. You bite your lip to muffle the rest of your pleasure. It's okay. The sight is enough for Satoru. He paints the inside of his new jeans immediately, free hand cupped over his mouth as his eyes roll back, his hips repeatedly jerking his clothed spasming cock into the palm of his hand.
pervyroomate!Satoru who asks you the nastiest shit just to see you sexually flustered: You're in bed reading, back against the headboard with Satoru's head in your lap. Your hand carelessly cards through his soft hair, nails lightly scratchin at his scalp. So cute the way he whines at you to continue everytime you accidentally pause as you get to a good part in your book. "Hey baby?" His voice so innocent that you know for a fact the next words outta his mouth are gonna be filthy as fuck. "Yeah?" "How come you only call me Satoru when you're on your back, fingers in that pretty lil pussy?" His tone is laced with the genuine wonder of a child asking a simple question. Your jaw might as well be on the floor. "G-Gojo!" Shocked exclamation half accusatory, half scolding. "What? I really wanna know, y/n. Sound as pretty as you looked in my shirt when you moan it like you did the other night; made me cum so hard listenin." He's lookin up at you upside down but you're absolutely mortified, using your book to hide your face. What do you even say to him right now? "Aww, baby don't be shy. I do it when I think about you too. Cept I usually have a pair of your panties up to my nose." He shares with you happily and unapologetic, pulling the book from your fingers to toss it to the floor. "I wanna hear you say it like that again." Turning on his belly to leer at your clothed pussy through your tiny bottoms. Your breath picks up in anticipation, starin as his fine ass leans foward and gives a slow lick from slit to clit. The urgent, intense sensations has you squealing out his name as you slide both hands into his hair. "Satoruuu!" Slidin your shorts to the side, admiring your moist plump pussy lips. "Fuck baby, say it again. Just like that." He commands you, latching onto your sensitive lil button. All you can do is comply, buckin into his mouth as you wail 'Satoru' over and over to the damn heavens.

[ edging ] * jjk men x f!reader // 0.5k, 2nd pov, no beta, no specific male character, reader w/ a vagina, smut, masturbation, edging, fingering, implied intercourse || ✨m.list✨
The relaxing music of a mobile game floats around in the otherwise silent bedroom. Lying on your back, and the hood of an oversized hoodie covering your head, your nimble fingers work on unlocking online game achievements. Immersed in the fantasy world of the device, you fail to notice his intense gaze.
Leaning his head on the fist with the elbow jabbed into the mattress, his eyes trail down from the phone to the sole piece of clothing you’re wearing with the hoodie, white cotton underwear. He rests a hand on your stomach, but you pay him no heed. His limb dances around, sneaking around. The final destination is on top of your underwear. Your focus doesn’t waver, set on the game.
Fingers hover over the fabric, the pads of his digits barely brushing on the material. After a second or two, the middle and ring fingers nudge on the damp spot of the panties near the entrance. Your attention doesn't shift from the game. The long digits pulse on the underwear, rhythmically and lightly tapping against it, before withdrawing and flicking the edge of the material, gliding underneath.
As soon as his fingers come in contact with the clit, your hips jolt. Eyes might still be glued to the smartphone screen, but all of your senses disengage and concentrate on the middle finger that gradually but steadily presses between the pussy lips. The ring finger joins in, aligning around the sensitive nub, squeezing it between the phalanges of the digits. He teases until the whimper is forced out of you and as soon as your breathing becomes unsteady, he halts all motion. You whine, unconsciously humping against his hand that he yanks away as far as your stretchy panties let him.
You grip the edges of the smartphone, eyes stuck on the flickering screen. Your soaking cunt clenches around emptiness, twitching when his hand returns to its last location. The fingers resume the previous activity, sluggishly drawing circles on your clit. As time passes, his hand becomes aggressive, two fingers simultaneously grinding against the bud of nerves, with firm and erratic circling. A low gasp escapes you when those wandering fingers plunge inside and dripping walls clamp on them.
Your eyes, unfocused, stare at the screen of the device, the attention now entirely diverted to your nether region being violated. After a minute or two of edging, slowing down whenever you mewl, alerting him how close you’re to reaching an orgasm, his fingers empty your cunt. Instead, lay down flat on your pussy, covering it entirely, ceasing all movement similar to the last time.
With his hand motionless, you toss your phone aside, helplessly tugging onto his thumb and weakly pull, while confronting his wicked grin with overtly innocent and watery eyes. Something malicious glints in his. Stimulated, slumbering body props up, as his fingers fill your cunt, pumping in and out without an ounce of resistance. The clear wetness smears on the inner sides of your thighs, dripping onto the bed, the squelching sounds echoing in silence alongside your throaty huffs.
While his hand tirelessly works, he gradually positions himself between your legs, free hand clumsily feeling the outline of his painful bulge, ready for action.

Hello! I wanted to share my process of how I made my Easter Pony! She is my second ever custom and she made all the trouble I had with the first one seem like a walk in the park in comparison ಥ_ಥ Let's begin!
DISCLAIMER: Custom ponies like this one are not to be played with by children nor made by children. This pony was made with the use of nail polish remover (acetone) which is toxic. You need to wash your hands throughly after use and use in a well ventilated area. This pony was also made with sharp tools such as an xacto knife, sewing pins, rehairing needles, and an awl.
First, the concept art! Trial and error caused her to look a little different than the concept art but I still love the end result!
I wanted to start with a white base to give myself a clean canvas for dyeing so I got this G3 Breezie off Ebay for only $3. I decided to first remove her mane and tail which requires removing the head. If you know anything about G3 pony customzing, you know their heads are difficult to get back on once they come off. Even when you run them under warm/hot water. So to get it back on for dyeing, I tried trimming a little excess of vinyl off the neck ring with my xacto knife. It slipped and got me right under my nail! Bad omen for what's to come!
After getting her prepped (removing her mane and tail, cleaning her, using acetone (nail polish remover) to remove her cutie mark) she was ready for a dye bath! I used Rit DyeMore as regular Rit Dye won't dye the vinyl material that ponies are made of. This was my first ever time dyeing anything that wasn't fabric so I was thrilled when she came out this warm rich brown! So pretty!
I read online that dyed ponies will leach dye onto other ponies if they touch, so I wanted to try and prevent this as much as possible with some matte sealer. Lesson #1: Even though she was dry, the matte sealer reactivated the dye! The smallest touch left a print! :(
I pushed forward! And tripped immediately after! I thought, "Surely matte Modge Podge will seal her just that much more" and to my dismay, the Modge Podge kept every brush stroke I made when it dried!! She looked like a leather hand bag! ˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )‧º·˚ I learned later you can buy matte Modge Podge spray online but all I had was the type you brush on to your surface.
Thankfully, with the help of sixteen cotton balls and a q-tip with acetone, I managed to remove all the sealer but she was no longer that nice rich brown. Oh well I still loved her!
And whoever said the paint will protect the eyes from the dye has clearly never dyed a dark pony! Her eyes were so brown after this lol
Painting, adding of polymer clay easter themed confetti, and adding her 3D chocolate bunny cutie mark went great! It was all going well until the eyes.
I had never fully painted pony eyes before so the first attempt was pretty bad. Not even my multiple attempts at glitter and using clear nail polish as a cheap gloss on the eyes could save them.
It was so bad that I almost didn't take any pictures but when I went to seal her head, this weird white powder covered half of her face?? I had never seen this before and it freaked me out thinking I just ruined her. I managed to get it off with a cotton ball and some acetone but her paint was fully damaged.
Turns out this was caused because I didn't shake the can of sealer well enough. I needed a break....
While I took a break for a few days, I decided to watch tutorials on how to paint doll eyes and learned that it's actually pretty common to use high quality watercolor pencils; either Faber Castell or Derwent (which is what I ended up buying).
When I came back, I made the hard decision of removing all the paint and decorations from the head and starting over. Hours of work gone but it was so worth it! 🩷 Removing the paint with acetone ended up making her head lighter than her body so I had to redye her head lol. This time I mixed Derwent pencils with acrylic paints for her eyes.
Time for the hair! I've never done curls before and my original plan was to buy curly hair online but it's so hard to find in the color and curl size I wanted.
So my second idea was to buy small curlers to use on regular nylon doll hair bought from ShimmerLocks on Etsy. But when I tested them out on poor Flower Bouquet it looked so bad ಥ_ಥ
I discovered a Youtube channel you may know called Dollightful where in one of her Stock Box videos she used yarn that she unraveled to make super cute tight wavy hair for a doll. It was a perfect solution! It looks so good but omg it was tedious haha! I used it for her tail too; sectioning off the colors hoping they'd stay separated (they didn't lol).
She's nearly complete! Time for small decorations! I tried so many different ears from air dry clay to stealing some from bunny decorations I bought at the store and nothing was working! But I had one last idea...
I gave these old Littlest Pet Shop costume bunny ears some use with a flat top sewing pin and some glue so now my pony has bunny ears! Yay!
I forgot it in the concept art, but I originally wanted to add flowers to her mane but I couldn't figure out how to do that without glue which I didn't want to do, too permanent, so I opted for some beads I had on hand. I didn't have any light blue so I made some with the use of acetone (nail polish remover in my case) and boom! Light blue beads! Then I washed them off so the acetone wouldn't damage anything :)
I used a gold topped sewing pin, a butterfly charm, a felt flower and two faux flowers to create a cute hair accessory!
Finally I sewed a hair tie to a puffball to give her a removable cottontail if I ever wanted to take it off.
And DONE! She looks so good after so much time and effort! I worked on this girly for two weeks I think? She actually had a partner I designed but I've run out of time to make her :') Maybe next year? 👀 🩷🩷

🔹🔷🔹Introducing the incredible Trucy Wright! 🔹🔷🔹
This cosplay was such a labor of love for me. I spent about four years start to finish (and honestly there’s still small things I’m going to be changing and adding). She’s finally wearable and I couldn’t be happier with how she turned out.
Here’s a run down on the costume:
Dress: patterned by me. Features princess seams and a diamond neckline that connects to a necklace that holds it up like a halter strap. Each button is a vintage shank button that I put two colors of blue crystal beads into (more pics of everything will come later). There’s a vintage metal toothed invisible zip down the back.
Cape: patterned by me. Features 11 double sided diamonds with card suits on them. Each card suit was machine appliquéd on each side (meaning I did 21 diamonds total 😭). Each diamond has a beaded ribbon trim across the top on the outside and a jingle bell on the bottom. Fabric is a lovely crepe satin.
Purse: blue and white cow leather sourced from theleatherguy.org. I was very particular about the bag being genuine leather and not pleather because I have ethical thoughts against pleather. The lining is blue diamond patterned cotton and the hardware comes from an old purse my grandma was going to throw away
Wig: arda wig in the style eowyn. This is one of my first times styling an anime wig and I’m really happy with it
Accessories: I got a buckram top hat base from hats by leko online. I then followed a tutorial online for how to cover it in the same blue crepe satin as the cape. If anyone wants more details on that lmk ^-^. scarf and gloves from Amazon. Earrings are the same vintage shank buttons I’ve made into earrings.
A couple extra pics for reading this far :D

prefacing this with I'm not necessarily punk, but I like customizing my clothes. and i wanna help other people find stuff for battle jackets! (and other stuff) I'm not the authority on this, but I still want to give my two cents!! also don't expect much more to this, my profile is pure cringe.
If anyone is starting out and I can help, I'd like too!!
The spike/stud dilemma
one of the biggest issues i've noticed is "where do I find studs/spikes without fast fashion??" which is totally fair. something like that shouldn't have to be a minefield. obviously if you buy from a small business that re-sells them from aliexpress you're still indirectly supporting aliexpress.
im sure there ARE slow fashion alternatives and if anyone knows some please let me know so I can add it!!
BUT here's what I'd recommend.
-goodwill bins, sometimes they have old clothes or broken belts, very rare though. also any thrift store or reclaimed craft store.
-Local businesses, sex shops
-metal paper fasteners
-borrowing. it's inevitable, I know. JOANNs is definitely the best selection imo, but Hobby Lobby is better to steal from. Because They are Terrible. Michael's is OK but less selection usually. They use peal off tags usually which are easy to remove.
-also if you're feeling extra insane, hot topic uses mainly ink tags, which can be removed with heat (look up tutorials on) or just cut off a stud/spike belt. their studs are pretty easy to remove. same with bracelets, they break a lot. ofc it depends on the place whether they use beep beep tags.
-ask people for broken shit!
TEXTILES (the easy part)
-fabric samples are easy to find for free online. get whatever colors you want, i usually stick to black, white, grey and 1-3 other colors. they're usually pretty small so order around until you find the right size. you want cotton and linen, usually upholstery if you're painting on them. if you're not or you're ok working with leather, leather is easy to find too. A lot of companies mentioned how stretchy your material is something not stretchy most cases.
-FACEBOOK!! A.K.A the boomer method. This is where I got almost all of mine!! I recommend downloading FREEBIE as well! I got mine thru that, it links to facebook, nextdoor, and so on. Ofc you can pay for them- but you don't have to! I have lifetime supply of textiles basically bc of this. A lot of people get them for hobbies or work.
-the goodwill bins!!!! you can absolutely find fabric there, it's pretty common actually
-you don't need to steal this tbh it's easy to find second hand and less wasteful
PAINTING
-Facebook, goodwill, or reclaimed/used craft stores if you have them
-borrowing (same places)
-use something like Painter Eye (AR tracing app) and draw out any complex band logos etc.
-you can also use sharpies or whatever nobody's stopping you
Other stuff
-one of the best ways to find stuff is just GO FOR A WALK! Find little shiny objects!
-hardware stores are good so are army surplus

Finding Your True Archetype Part 1: Spring
This is the first post in a series where I copy and paste information from the stylist David Zyla's book Color Your Style. His archetype system covers way more different types of woman than the quizzes you find online that have 5-10 results and he gives you advice on styling yourself for your archetype. I never 100% related to any of those online quiz results but I instantly felt very seen when I read about a certain Archetype in Zyla's book.
Zyla categorises his different archetypes into four categories: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. This post will only discuss the Spring archetypes, but I hope to make posts for the other archetypes soon. If you don't find your archetype in this post, you likely will in a future post.
Terminology Zyla uses throughout the book to help you understand this post better:
First Base: The color found in the ring around your iris; your most formal and powerful neutral; your version of black .
Second Base: The color taken from the darkest shade of your hair; a warmer and less formal neutral; your version of brown.
Third Base: The color seen in the lightest version of your hair; a playful and informal neutral; your version of khaki.
Essence Color: The color that harmonizes your skin tones and reveals your most genuine, open, and essential self; your version of white; wear it when you are having an intimate conversation, when you are meditating, or when you want to be completely open and honest.
Romantic Color: The color reflected by your flushed skin, which reveals your passion, your sexual energy, and your romantic self; your version of red; wear it on a hot date, a romantic evening, or any time you want your passion to show.
Dramatic Color: The color taken from the shade of your veins, which shows your power, your charisma, and your sense of authority; your version of blue; wear it on a job interview, for a formal presentation, or any time you want to make a strong impression.
Vital Spring: The Prom Queen
Celebrities: Kristin Davis, Eva Longoria, Susan Lucci, Rachael Ray.
Motto: “That sounds like fun!”
Secret Superpower: Charm, charm, and more charm. The world’s hostess! Invite a Vital Spring to your dinner party and you guarantee a great evening for all: She will keep the crowd entertained while you are slaving in the kitchen.
Kryptonite: When it’s no longer fun, she often doesn’t want to play anymore.
Nature Image: Zinnias, French parrot tulips, Gerbera daisies, pompoms.
Artists: Mondrian and Matisse for the high-contrast primary colors.
Charming Contrasts: High-contrast outfits and accessories will always make the Prom Queen look terrific—a red scarf to set off a black coat, or white polka dots on a blueberry-colored umbrella. Her look is even better in “surprise” contrast that leads you to expect the unexpected. She might consider a vivid dramatic-colored coat lining, or a First Base outfit and shoes punctuated with a romantic-colored handbag, or an energy-colored enamel charm on her bracelet.
Fabulous Fabrics: The fabrics are crisp and include cotton piqué, cotton sateen, faille, bouclé, patent leather, and satin.
Signature Scent: Citrus: It’s brisk, bold, and does not linger.
Must-Haves: The Prom Queen favors a Chanel-inspired bouclé jacket (she may even splurge for a real one!), nautically styled gabardine pants, a slim pegged skirt, a button-front blouse with pearl buttons, and a crisp cotton belted shift dress. Her silhouette is clean in line and efficient with a dash of costume elements thrown into the mix. Though her look is crisp and refined, all of her favorite pieces are reminiscent of vintage styles and possess an air of “I get things done.” When it comes to styles, she’s most at home in a 1950s look: crisp, clean, with a little bit of movement. Think swing coats and swirly skirts, perhaps contrasted with a structured purse. Frequently sought-after in social situations, Vital Springs also do well wearing conversation pieces: a charm bracelet, for example, or a dark vintage-inspired coat with a bright high-contrast lining.
Must-Avoids: The Vital Spring should avoid burnished colors or ensembles made up of muted, blended colors and fabrics. She’s always best in high contrast with a touch of novelty. And she should pass on the cowboy boots and anything oversized. Cowboy boots have too many varied lines in them and actually are more of a design suitable for Autumns. The woman who wears them has a kind of I-roll-up-my-sleeves-and-shoot-pool-with-the-boys quality. This does not describe the Prom Queen, though she will be game for pool—but sporting a pair of capris, a crisp blouse, and a small neck scarf. She always keeps her playful femininity, no matter what she’s doing. As for oversized items, the crisp pert lines that favor this type illustrate her efficient I-get-things-done manner, whereas oversized connotes an I’ll-get-to-it-but-right-now-I’m-just-hangin’ mentality.
Personality and Spirit: There’s a good reason why Vital Springs have that Prom Queen image—they’re the most charming, outgoing, and friendly of the Archetypes. They’re the kind of people who become best friends with everyone in the room five minutes after they walk in, and others often develop crushes on them. That’s no surprise: They radiate the kind of energy and magnetism that draws people in, and no matter what the situation, they tend to lead with a smile. With her independent spirit, the Prom Queen functions best when given a lot of leeway, but don’t worry—she’ll charm her boss and colleagues into an arrangement that works well for everybody.
Early Spring: The Playful Princess
Celebrities: Angela Lansbury, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chloë Sevigny, Naomi Watts.
Motto: “How amusing!”
Secret Superpower: An instinct for what’s most important. Count on the Early Spring to always get to the heart of the matter.
Kryptonite: Not being appreciated—that causes the Early Spring to droop like a wilted flower.
Nature Image: Crocuses poking their tips up through the snow, gladiolus, iris.
Artists: Monet and the other Impressionists, whose cool saturated pastels are perfect for Early Springs.
Charming Contrasts: For the Playful Princess, light and easy low-contrast is best. As this palette is very gentle, I would suggest never wearing more than two groups of her colors together at the same time. For example, a Third Base suit could be paired with a pastel romantic blouse, as well as jewelry, shoes, and a scarf that pick up these tones, perhaps in different values. The Early Spring should use pattern in the way it is seen in Monet’s The Water Lilies: small, delicate brush strokes, each dollop of paint slightly blended into the one beside it, giving the overall impression of a landscape seen through a train window on a rainy day. Confetti patterns also work well for her. No eye-popping high-contrast patterns, please—they just don’t suit her gentle palette.
Fabulous Fabrics: Cashmere, organza, suede, and especially, crisp cottons. No other type looks as good in a crisp winter-white cotton blouse.
Signature Scents: Gentle, flowery, soft, and powdery—but with a slight kick, such as jasmine.
Must-Haves: The Playful Princess favors a simple polished-cotton pastel Agent 99 trench coat, Hollywood waisted pants, a slim waistband-less skirt, a crisp cotton blouse worn with a thin belt over it, and an updated version of the shirtdress with the collar popped up. The demure, playful Early Spring can pull off a beret or even a cloche hat, something sleek and close to the head. She’s the type for whom blouses with bows were invented, and for a little light-handed playfulness, try chinos embroidered with a novelty design—but no belt loops, and with a back zipper, please! Her wardrobe suggests a cool, sleek, playful elegance, someone sweet and flowery—but with a kick. While she can wear clothing derived from masculine dress such as trousers, all her garments need to be curved and adapted to her feminine shape. Adding a slight dose of irony doesn’t hurt, either.
Must-Avoids: Denim. Although the Early Spring looks great in slim trousers with no waistband, she has a terrible time finding the right pair of blue jeans—because they don’t suit her! She needs to avoid anything even remotely masculine. Hence, our Early Spring should pass on the men’s-style trench with epaulets and patch pockets as well as on popping printed patterns. The original version of this trench is too masculine and too literal; and high contrast prints are too harsh for her delicate coloring.
Personality and Spirit: Early Springs are ladylike, yes, and somewhat proper, and perhaps even demure, but they’re also blessed with a lively curiosity and a strong sense of fun. There’s an appealing coolness to the Early Spring, the slight formality that often marks someone with beautiful manners and that air of “to the manner born,” but there’s also a playful, inquisitive nature lurking just below the surface. Count on the Early Spring to show up at that all-important job interview, impeccable in a dove-gray suit and a pearly white blouse—and then to tell a silly joke that surprises the interviewer into delighted laughter. A good girl she may be—but she’s got her share of pluck.
Floral Spring: The Wholesome Flirt
Celebrities: Doris Day, Barbara Walters, Reese Witherspoon, Renée Zellweger.
Motto: “Live for today.”
Secret Superpower: Making the most of every moment.
Kryptonite: Realizing that she is making a mistake in the middle of making it and then becoming self-conscious.
Nature Image: Daffodils, hyacinth, and tulips.
Artist: Fragonard.
Charming Contrasts: Wholesome Flirts do best with crisp contrast. Offering relief from head-to-toe color is good, such as a crisp blouse in her shade of white peering out from under an energy-colored suit accessorized with a pearl necklace. In such an outfit, the white doesn’t punctuate, but rather gives the eye a break from all of that energy color and creates a halo around the wearer’s face, enabling the Floral Spring to win the attention that she loves.
Fabulous Fabrics: Though she is feminine, the Floral Spring’s fabrics need to stay crisp. Camel’s hair, gabardine, eyelet, and organdy are best.
Signature Scents: Sweet and floral. Even when she’s all grown up, she might try a strawberry-scented lip balm.
Must-Haves: The Floral Spring favors a brightly colored peacoat, slim trousers with side slits at the ankle, an A-line skirt, a cute sweater set, and a shift dress covered in pastel paillettes. These are the garments that flatter the Wholesome Flirt, with her ultra-feminine, always flirty nature. She enjoys incorporating costume-y elements into her wardrobe—such as a bow-shaped clutch or sandals decorated with a bumblebee buckle—but all her choices need to be frothy and flirtatious, never influenced by anything practical unless it’s a reinvention of something practical, such as the revamping of a sailor’s peacoat in a vivid color with theatrically sized buttons.
Must-Avoids: Austere or severely styled clothing. This woman must always wear clothing which complements her carefree, flirty, feminine nature. Hence, the Wholesome Flirt should pass on camouflage cargo pants and one-shoulder gowns—the pants are too serious and the one-shoulder gown, too asymmetrical, which makes her look imbalanced and, oddly, staid.
Personality and Spirit: Like the coquettish beauty batting her baby blues at two men in Fragonard’s The Swing, this Archetype embodies the words feminine and flirtatious. The Floral Spring sometimes seems like an enchanted creature who lived in a garden all her life and somehow decided to venture out into the world of more ordinary mortals. Like many of their Spring sisters, the Floral Springs are charming beyond belief, but their charm is always genuine. If you feel good in their presence, it’s because they really do see the best in everything and everyone, including you, and they have a gift for making you believe in the magic that seems all too apparent to them. That may be why they’re the most flirtatious of the Archetypes: If life is a garden, why not sample every flower?
Buoyant Spring: The Life of the Party
Celebrities: Cameron Diaz, Goldie Hawn, Queen Latifah, Amy Poehler.
Motto: “How interesting!”
Secret Superpower: Enthusiasm. Everything fascinates her.
Kryptonite: Sometimes that all-encompassing enthusiasm can become just a little . . . well, scattered.
Nature Image: Sunflowers, buttercups, daisies, button poms, cosmos, tuberoses, foxglove.
Artist: Matisse, for the high-contrast use of color.
Charming Contrasts: The Life of the Party needs a pattern somewhere in her outfit or accessories in order to tie together the entire look. She can unify a romantic-colored shirt and Third Base capris with plaid sandals that feature both of those colors. As an extra plus, those sandals are also a wonderful conversation-starter!
Fabulous Fabrics: Poplin, organza, embroidered cotton, linen, stretch satin.
Signature Scents: Sporty, invigorating, perhaps with a hint of eucalyptus. A splash rather than a cologne works better, as it is lighter and less serious.
Must-Haves: A blazer cut to the high hip with an accentuated waist is the perfect garment for the Life of the Party, as are capris, a turtleneck with short puffed sleeves, and a metallic brocade shift dress adorned with feathers at the hem. Savoring life to the fullest is what she’s all about, and she needs her wardrobe to reflect this.
Must-Avoids: Hyperformality—and not only in clothing. The Buoyant Spring also has the urge to do something zany to break the tension at a party that is too stuffy. The results may be, um, problematic—or they could be delightful. The Buoyant Spring needs to pass on the chiffon caftan and motorcycle-inspired looks. The caftan would make her seem like a dowager, and no matter what her real age, the Buoyant Spring is always young at heart. Also, the caftan feels a bit too grand for her. At heart the Buoyant Spring is the girl who genuinely enjoys kicking off her shoes at the end of the day. Any article of clothing that conveys an aura of queenly grandness feels too serious for this fun-loving type, especially since it limits so severely the number of fashion choices she can make—no belt, no skirt, no scarf, just a pair of sandals and some jewels. As for motorcycle-inspired ensembles, while the Life of the Party is fun and game for most anything, a boots-and-leather look hardens her I-love-being-a-girl silhouette and limits her opportunity for the adornment of her favorite fashion element: herself!
Personality and Spirit: Playful, sporty, and energetic, the Buoyant Spring is brimming over with high spirits and good cheer. Her buoyant energy lends itself more to shorts or capris than to a full-length evening gown, though when she does put on that fancy dress, you may be surprised to realize how pretty she is. The Buoyant Spring is always a marvelous cheerleader. She knows how to draw other people out, encouraging them to express their most cherished ideas—and then she knows how to make those ideas sound brilliant.
Mischievous Spring: The Pixie
Celebrities: Tyra Banks, Bernadette Peters, Rosie Perez, Rihanna, Julia Roberts.
Motto: “Everything I really want eventually comes to me.”
Secret Superpower: Huge confidence in herself.
Kryptonite: Expects everyone to come to her, which means sometimes she can be a bit selfish—perhaps even more than a bit.
Nature Image: Lily pad, buttercup, bluebells.
Artists: Landscape artists who paint the French countryside.
Charming Contrasts: Gentle contrast is best for our Pixie, but she can handle more contrast in a single outfit than most of the other Springs can manage. For the weekend, she might look for a longish belted tweed coat in her energy color over a short skirt and tights in her Third Base color, accented by a metallic and energy-colored purse, metallic earrings, and a few favorite odd mismatched bracelets.
Fabulous Fabrics: Lightly textured knits, brushed cotton, embossed suede, organza, crisp cotton, piqué.
Signature Scents: Narcissus, hyacinth.
Must-Haves: A softly tailored short anorak, short-sleeved knit sweater with self-belt and collar, slim stretch cigarette pants, miniskirt with pleated hem, bouclé knit hooded cardigan, and halter-style printed maxidress create the pixieish look of the Mischievous Spring. Our Pixie always needs the element of surprise incorporated into her mischievous style or else she looks out of place. A well-fitting dress with very simple lines is fine for New Year’s Eve, but she would need a marabou shrug or a feathered headband in order to keep the outfit from seeming too stuffy.
Must-Avoids: Big ruffles at her cuffs, which just look silly waving all over the place. The Mischievous Spring should also avoid wide-legged trousers, full-skirted gowns, and layered dresses, all of which tend to make her look like a little girl playing dress-up or like a delicate pixie drowning in waves of fabric. She should also avoid a too-polished head-to-toe look as well as any garment or accessory that proclaims, “I am serious.”
Personality and Spirit: When I think of the Mischievous Spring, I think of the sound of jingle bells: This pixieish creature evokes everything that is frolicsome and fun, and like all Springs, the Mischievous Spring is charm personified. She often works quite hard, but unless you pay close attention, you may not realize it: She may create the impression that a battery of elves magically completed her assignments overnight. The Mischievous Spring sometimes seems like the ultimate free spirit, but somehow, she always meets her deadlines, shows up on time, and comes through like a trouper. It’s just that her process for getting there might drive more organized types insane. She’s the kind of woman who can show up at a party looking stunning even though she just bought the dress that morning and then couldn’t find the right lipstick and had to borrow a neighbor’s. No matter how she got there, she always looks fantastic—and there she is, ready to share her mischievous sense of fun with everyone else at the party.
Tawny Spring: The Maverick
Celebrities: Amy Adams, Carol Burnett, Ginger Rogers.
Motto: “I am my own trendsetter.”
Secret Superpower: Being just a little bit ahead of the curve and bringing other people along with her.
Kryptonite: Sometimes she just can’t get past that one niggling detail—the fly in the ointment, the one thing that tarnishes the whole. Frustration with something relatively minor can sometimes spoil the whole thing for her.
Nature Image: Poppies, green euphorbia, yarrow, pear blossom, ranunculus.
Artists: Renoir, Rousseau.
Charming Contrasts: As befits a Maverick, the Tawny Spring puts together diverse elements in a way that she couldn’t possibly explain to anyone else. Clearly this type will also put together her contrast levels in precisely the way that she wants to! Her “find” of a vintage 1960s tranquil-colored blouse is made fresh and interesting when worn over a Second Base turtleneck and paired with skinny-fit Second Base trousers. Mavericks take warning: Never wear shades of the same color, as the exchange of energy between the similar shades is not dynamic enough, creating a muddy effect.
Fabulous Fabrics: Pony, light popcorn tweeds, embossed leather, knit fabrics.
Signature Scents: She will probably favor a mixture of citrus and spice. She is eclectic, so she will probably have several small bottles of different scents. None of them will be floral or powdery.
Must-Haves: Our Maverick favors an updated military-styled jacket, boot-cut trousers, a miniskirt worn with tights, a vintage 1960s blouse, and a button-front knit sweater dress with contrasting collar and cuffs worn over a tank. After all, her motto is “I am my own trendsetter,” and what better outfits to choose than those that allow her a fertile field for her creative vision. The Maverick is eclectic in her style and is best in slightly theatrical pieces. She is the type that can easily wear a feathered cloche, fingerless gloves, or a plaid capelet—and even better if they are all worn at the same time! If her outfit looks like a costume from the forest scene in Shakespeare’s As You Like It, the one in which shepherds and shepherdesses frolic, she will love it. She will find it difficult to pass a vintage clothing store without stopping in.
Must-Avoids: Clothing that is uniform or “matched,” such as a matching blazer and skirt. This type should never own a suit; she needs to make a statement by putting together diverse pieces in unexpected ways. She should also pass on the long flowing skirts and any clothing influenced by minimalism. She is too “ready for action” and her energy is too high for the languid I-go-with-the-flow quality of drapey soft chiffon, which in any case suggests genteel beauty, rather than the Tawny Spring’s air of sprightly fun. Finally, no minimalism for the Maverick: When you strip this energetic creature down to monochromatic minimalism, she will feel and act as though she is at a wake.
Personality and Spirit: Quirkiest of all the Spring Archetypes, the Tawny Spring is nearly impossible to pin down. She has a habit of zigzagging from one activity to another. Yet she’s reliable and trustworthy, and there’s a method to her madness. The Tawny Spring views the world not through rose-colored glasses, exactly, but let’s say through teal-colored ones: a unique, distinctive perspective that is all her own, and that to everyone else seems slightly askew. When everyone else sees the forest, she notices that one little branch over in the corner, where a rare tropical species has just built its nest. Then she wonders why no one else can see that little sliver of teal-colored feather that tipped her off—it seems blatantly obvious to her!
That's all for now, doves. Next post will be on Zyla's summer archetypes 😊

MATERIALS!!!
Hoo boy am I working with a TON of different materials for this build! I haven’t documented them super well over time, but here’s a glimpse into some of the things i’ve gathered over the last couple months.
1st img: Fabrics and trims!
from left to right— Trims—a black and gold ribbon trim and a maroon and gold beaded trim. These will go on the cloak. also a bell! These, and the red and blue fabrics next to them were bought on a trip to chicago from a MASSIVE textiles outlet, while hanging out with some of my best online friends.
The white fabrics & red above the trims are linens and cottons from Joann, for the base outfit. These are being dyed to my desired colors, because I have access to some natural dyes in my fibers lab and really wanted an excuse to use them.
The red and blue also from the textile outlet are for the cloak. The blue, which I’m assuming is a polyester satin was out of a clearance room for like 2 bucks a yard, and is for the lining. The red velvet is an upholstery fabric that I’m really excited about because its weight creates a really rich looking drape.
Furs!! These are from BigZ fabrics, and it was my first time ordering from there! Their selections of short pink was better for what I wanted than what Howl Fabrics had to offer, and I didn’t want to have to shave down longer fur for the head. I’m really excited about the color variation in the gray, which is for the cloak’s collar, a trim along the bottom of the cloak, and as a buffer layer between armor layers, like a trim.
All of this is layed out over various foams, 1 inch and 3 inch upholstery foam which will be used for the head base, fursuit-y bits, and shoulder pads between the shirt and the cloak to give me some breadth. as I am kind of small relative to this design. and some floor mat foam, which is a cheaper alternative to EVA foam, and will be used for a lot of the armor-y bits, like the crown, weapons, and the armor itself.
2nd img— YARN
This yarn is something I bought from a local weaver’s studio, about a half hour drive out of town. I came to her looking for an undyed wool yarn, because I wanted to weave the AE banner from scratch. I dyed these yarns in a living indigo vat, and this is the color samples from that—more on that later.
3rd img—BEADS!!
This is the collection of beads I bought for some wither rose appliques I’m making for the hem of the cloak. I’m not using all of them currently, but I really like the variety I ended up with and will eventually figure out a use for all of them later down the line.
This is by no means comprehensive and doesn’t even begin to get into tools and consumable stuff like glues, thermoplastic, resin, paints, etc, but I’ll try to document all that stuff as I go too!!

Punk Skunk Girl and Punk Cat Boy doll set finished Sat. Nov. 16 2024 with pictures—took forever, finally done
I was really pleased with how these anthropomorphic cat boy and skunk girl dolls turned out. The heads (with original hairstyles) came from the 2020s MGA LOL OMG Hair Hair Hair pets line, which were all music-themed. The bodies came from Tomy(?) posable artist figures from AliExpress. I made most of their clothes (with contributions from toy companies MGA, Zuru, and Mattel), and I made all of their rock and rock accessories.
The tiny, male and female, black vinyl hinged and ball socket artist figure bodies caused many delays in finishing these this year, as the joints would break when they were moved. I had to use a combination of superglue with water putty powder, and sometimes black felt and super glue to stabilize and repair breaks. (Then I’d seal, paint black, seal, and repeat the steps when the joints inevitably broke again.) But there was nothing else available for doll bodies in black in this scale.
I made his black jeans, his black mesh top, her red sweater, her stretchy black tights, and her skirt from scratch from old jeans, an unused Forever 21 clearance cocktail dress, black scraps, and a new holiday-themed sock. His gold tone belt buckle is a tiny piece broken off of some bit of doll accessory or doll jewelry (likely Mattel Barbie). The printed top layer of her skirt was made by gathering the long printed satin care instructions in multiple languages from the dress tag.
His clear neon green “studded” vest came in a handful of MGA LOL OMG doll clothes and accessories bought at this spring’s Port Costa town-wide yard sale (studs had to be reglued, as they shed off the vinyl). His black cotton jacket and her black, red, and silver sleeveless top came from a new set of MGA Little Bratz clothes bought years ago. (The top came with “punk” printed in red on the fabric and the faux silver zipper trim.) Her boots were bought this year with a Barbie Extra Mini doll (which I bought primarily for parts) and painted black and sealed with Testor’s sealant.
His black Doc Marten-style boots (with real laces and tongue) and her black polka dotted bow came from this year’s Zuru Mini Fashion series 3 surprise ball pack. (A high quality detailed series of miniatures—I bought only the 2023-2024 series that came with fashion doll shoes.)
I made his neon green “studded” wrist bands from cheap plastic tube beads from Michael’s and painted the studs on with textured silver fabric paint (sealed with Testor’s Dullcote before and after), which is how I made the “studded” red band in her hair.
The parts of the outfits I was most pleased with are their 1980s rock band buttons and emblems. I printed out images from the original band merchandise online on our injet printer, then affixed them to either white thumb tacks, white card paper, or off-white felt with Mod Podge, then I sealed them with Mod Podge 3D “dimensional” clear coating.
His Oingo Boingo square green album button (with cat and Christmas graphic) is from “Nothing to Fear.” (I bent a wire into a square to be a “pin back” attachment glued to the card backing in this button.) His jacket patch (attached to his jacket with a rougher punk DIY style of stitching) is from the first EP “Oingo Boingo,” featuring the Louis Wain cat. Her yellow, pink, and orange Oingo Boingo Louis Wain cat button is supposedly the first button from the first EP.
I used the same method to create her Dead Milkman cow logo button, but I used a rubbery earring packaging plug (which comes on the ends of new earring wires) to affix it to the lapel, instead bending the thumb tack stem back with needle nose pliers, as I did with the other buttons. On her blouse collar’s lapel is a Siouxie and the Banshees band button with a portrait of the lead singer. Some of the ink came off in the glueing, so I carefully filled in the missing bits with a black felt tip pen before sealing.
Saturday morning, I photographed the pair posing together and dancing (including tgeir doing the Pogo) on our white brick mantel in the living room, with the natural light supplemented by a clip-on halo light (attached to my iPhone 13) and my flexible bedroom lamp twisted up from under my arm.
I enjoyed putting these together. It was a similar creative process as when, a few years ago, I repaired and made over some damaged old Sunshine Family dolls into 1980s teens and 1990s Seattle grunge skater kids. I think the pink and black mohawk on the MGA cat head gave me the impetus for this pair.

I finished another costume project!
And let me tell you. There was a curse on this or something. First I had trouble getting the fabric. I ordered a 25 yard bolt of white cotton, considering that I’m always using it for petticoats and stuff, and would need a lot for this dress, only to get an email from the fabric shop saying “so, we know you wanted 25 yards, we have like ten and a lot of it is in 1 or 2 yard cuts”
I just wanted to get working, so I told them to send what they have and send me the rest when they restock. Thankfully, I managed to cut everything out on what they sent me (really thankfully because this was several months ago and I still haven’t gotten the rest. I was told “probably some time in December”)
Then the buttons I wanted were out of stock. Then the replacement buttons came and were a lot more of a copper color than they looked in the pictures. Then I found three good buttons at Joann’s, but only three, so I had to order the rest online.
There wasn’t enough stock of the lace trim I wanted for the whole dress, although that turned out to be a blessing in disguise because then I could mix a wider lace in
And yet, I overcame all of these curses, to create:
Victorian Gabriel!
So, the story behind this dress is that I went to a class at a costume event about reinterpreting and putting your own spin on costumes, and one of the things they mentioned was historical cosplays. I was immediately inspired, thinking of a character from a piece of media I had never interacted with (I’m not a video game person), but that I had heard a lot about from my friend, including but not limited to the fanfic about it that they sent me of it to read on the plane on the way to this event. I’d made an early 1870s dress before, so I had some patterns and a general sense of what I was doing. The idea was there, and I promptly did my best to sketch it on a lined notebook with random colors of ballpoint pens while sitting in a hotel lobby.
The original idea
Of course, this was back in July, so this dress has been a long time coming. There were all the issues with getting my supplies, and then I kept having to stop and work on other things, like some things for a Girl Scout project and things for Halloween. But finally, finally, it is done, and well worth the wait
I love this dress dearly. I may be my favorite costume I have ever made. There are two pockets in the skirt that go down to about my ankles to fit my swords (spirit Halloween swords that I spray painted), so that I can pull my swords out of seemingly nowhere (there are also normal pockets for normal things). The trained petticoat I made has lace trim, to add extra fluff to the hem. There is so much lace and sparkles and other fun things. I made all sorts of little accessories, from the earrings to a laurel wreath for my hair (out of trim left over from another costume)
I did some hand embroidery on the skirt with some metallic thread
And it’s just a delight to wear!
I especially like how it looks from the back, with the bow and train and all the fun details :)

27 sentence Sunday (I counted) 5.5.24
Happy Sunday! Hope everyone had a good weekend and has a good week ahead. Say hello to my beautiful new banner by the bestest bestie @england-would-fall!! It matches my icon which she made also! Thank you to @o0anapher0o @blueeyedgrlwrites and @tailsbeth-writes for the tags!
This Sunday you get to meet my 3rd installment in the ‘let’s play dress up’ series (Alex in a little black dress ; Henry in a tutu) which is Henry in a bikini fic. I had a revelation on it yesterday and finally started really working on it. So here’s a way too long clip of it, because I can never shut up.
The trip to Thailand had been Alex’s idea. He’d slid into bed one night clutching pages of printouts like a travel agent from the early 2000s, pages depicting a private villa with its own private pool overlooking acres of vegetation. A balcony with soft, overstuffed chairs. A bathroom to die for with a glass ceiling and stepping stones and rainforest shower heads. A gigantic king-sized bed with egyptian cotton sheets. Complete seclusion. Just for the two of them.
“This is exactly what we need, Hen,” Alex had whispered, nudging his nose gently into Henry’s neck. They had been dragged out of the closet against their will, kicking and screaming. They had been forced to perform their relationship in front of the entire world. “I want to go somewhere where I can love you with just the two of us. Where we are out and happy, but we don’t have to do it for anyone but us.”
Henry had studied the printouts with his Serious Prince Face and then looked at Alex. “Oh, my love. You just want to have sex in a private pool.”
Alex’s lips had twitched into a smile. “Well, okay, that, too.”
Now that they’re here, Alex is determined to make the most of it, and ‘the most of it’ to him is dressing Henry in this tiny bikini that he’d found online and getting him dripping wet (in more ways than one).
He watches as Henry reaches out and traces a finger along the strings on the side. The bikini is simple, all white, with ties at the hips and the back. Alex had passed up all the other, flashier swimsuits for this one because he knows how beautiful Henry will look in it. The way his chest will fill out the front, just enough. The spot where his hips dip. His soft, lightly tanned body covered just enough in white fabric that strains to contain him. His beautiful boyfriend, the love of his life, laid practically bare for him in this.
Henry picks it up and holds it out to Alex. “Help me?”

@billyharris @captainjunglegym @onthewaytosomewhere @hgejfmw-hgejhsf @priincebutt

Official Promo Hoodie
Detailed Pictures Courtesy of @arth-ur
The most popular fandom recreation, Jack Frost's iconic blue hoodie, did have an official version during the movie's premier showing.
The hoodie is a dark blue with white zipper and drawstrings and light blue frost print on the pocket, collar, elbows, and wrist areas. Heather is a type of fabric where grey material is woven with another color, this gives the official hoodie a grey look in most photos you will find of it.
The frost pattern is printed unevenly along the collar, as the hoodies were not made custom but printed onto the American Apparel F497 zip-hoodie. The current (2024) F497 available is a 50/50 polyester cotton while the 2012 hoodie was a tri-blend of cotton, polyester, and rayon. This is important when identifying well made reprints of the hoodie.
The most notable frost pattern will be the logo on the right arm sleeve, the Rise of the Guardians title will be below and to the right of the frost pattern, not directly below or inside it.
There is also photos online of hoodies with black draw strings, I currently have no information on this variant.
I do not currently have a price range on this as it rarely shows up online under the tags and the ones that do vary wildly in price. I would personally price it at above $50 at the lowest, however the Fandom recreations are often lovingly crafted and depending on quality and if its embroidered, bedazzled, or covered in glitter, can go for above $100. A Jack Frost cosplay with staff was just posted (Oct 2nd 2024) on Mercari for $60 and was sold within the hour.

Here’s a sashiko-style mend I did recently!
There’s a patch of fabric on the inside, but this lovely stitching design on the outside.
Sashiko is a Japanese form of quilting using a specific thimble, needle, and thread (thicker than typically used for english quilting) for repairing/reinforcing/decorating garments, blankets, and other items with geometric patterns. The classic color pairing is a dark blue indigo fabric with a white thread.
I call this “sashiko-style” because while I used the technique and look of the method, the pattern is a random one I found online and I used a thin crochet cotton, not proper sashiko thread—trust me, now that I’ve got my hands on some real sashiko thread, it’s a whole world of difference!!
All in all, i’m excited to keep going with sashiko quilting/mending and get my hands on a variety of sashiko thread colors 😅
