“He knows Timmy will come around eventually. It's only a matter of waiting for his clock to run out. And HP is very patient.” Hey uh.. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN HIS CLOCK TO RUN OUT is he waiting for Timmy to become a full fairy (Pixie?) and when that happens Timmy forgets about being a human entirely?

Sometimes Timmy wonders why he has grudges against certain fairies. Some of them, he can understand- like his dislike of Dr. Rip Studwell. But other ones, like with Cupid, it's a bit of a blur.

He must've been a very very vindictive 10 year old! Ah, well! Timmy's learned that he has to pick and choose his own battles wisely.

And uh. Fighting with the man who decides his paycheck and vacation days is not a battle worth choosing. Talk about a hostile work environment!!

It only just occurred to me that Rhodes Island's codename system is likely rooted in the Sarkaz naming customs (or lack thereof).

It's fairly common for us to see Sarkaz with no name, or just an epithet. Famously, W took her name from a dead man when she picked up his gun.

To other peoples, something as basic as lacking a name is likely to come off as strange or untrustworthy, creating extra distance between them and any nameless Sarkaz.

Rhodes Island can't give every Sarkaz a "real" name, nor can they change Sarkaz culture to accept such things—and they can't change the rest of the world to accept it either. What they can do is create an environment in which "real" names aren't used, so that everyone is on an equal footing.

Hello everyone! It's been a month. My exams ended, and I went back home for ten days (plus went to the village, my mom's birthplace). I will probably be posting more pictures of the village, purely because it's my absolute favourite place in the world. The last pic is me in my traditional clothes and jewellery!

Now I need to finish this presentation in one day, whew.

I understand not being a big fan of the appearance of past PCs, and I shared that earlier on, and even shared the argument that I wanted Bells Hells' story to be about them...but I feel like the time for that argument has passed. As we've gone on, that is in fact the story - that they're a bunch of level 8 adventurers who have fallen into an endgame scenario because of little peripheral threads and because of who one of their companions is. The story is, on some level, about not being about them. They've had so little time to drive their own destiny; it's been fetch quests and pursuit from the start, with little in the way of the odd jobs and proper stumblings one would usually expect.

And I hope that after the solstice they'll get to do that! But I think having Keyleth and the Ashari, Beau, and Caleb there hammer the above home: this is so much bigger than Bells Hells is prepared for, and they're here because a few weird things that happened in Jrusar (which is all that Eshteross ever wanted to look into, and all Treshi ever wanted to do) were unbeknownst to them part of a plot Ludinus Da'leth has likely been working on for several centuries; and because Imogen and Fearne are involved through accidents of birth. In many ways, it echoes Laudna's entire story. It's just people who were minding their own business in a town, and someone powerful and ruthless did things beneath it that affected the population at large because of a plan with cosmic ramifications, and they became involved out of an accident of location.

I'll admit - I do prefer a story where people are actively seeking something, or running from something, rather than caught up in bigger and bigger webs of conspiracy, but that's not the one being told right now, and the version in which far more powerful allies don't appear is a tragic and cynical one, whereas one with Keyleth, Beau, and Caleb says "yeah, this is fucked up, and it's not fair that you're here on your own to deal with this rip current of an event."

I think everyone knows, in general, your attitude towards Alucard/Anderson. But I still want to ask. Very much.

- personal rating: 1000/10

- HCs: TOO many to count. But I think Alucard would really like to cook or guest Anderson. Dracula was big on hospitality and Alucard probably has "acts of service" as his main love language. Also, if Anderson found out about Alucard's true identity, he'd give an arm and a leg to be able to pester him for information.

- OTP level: 1000/10, my absolute favorite ship

- Would I have liked to see it canon: It is canon. I don't care what you say no one talks to each other like that unless they are sloppily making out after fighting like rabid dogs in some alleyway

- General opinion: Absolute PEAK doomed yaoi. Never seen better. Grandiose. It's mostly the idea that Anderson was specifically crafted for Alucard (ironically, he was by Hirano which could be a metaphor) and the core of their relationship is the fact they're narrative foils, perfect rivals, opposite sides of the same coin. They have the red string of fate tied around their throats but it's red with blood. The parallels of ex-man of God and man of God with the same conviction but he's devoured by it in a different way than Vlad was. It's so good it's giving modern Gilgamesh and Enkidu. They're divorced but they never even married. There is no way for them to be normal ever
