okay so:

the year is 2021. the month is june. the new season of hermitcraft, season 8, has just started, and everything is great! the hermits are all messing around, having fun, building insane things within the first week of the server being active, and generally having a good time. everyone's collected themselves into little factions, pranking each other, and it's all the fun, lighthearted, mostly-vanilla content hermitcraft is known for.

and then the split between minecraft versions 1.18 and 1.19 is announced. the delay of new terrain, and especially of new mobs like the warden, considerably disrupt several of the hermits' plans. but it's fine, they'll figure something out, they're professionals, and it mostly goes unnoticed.

about two weeks later, on november 9th, grian turns to mumbo jumbo in one of his episodes, and asks the famous question that would seal hermitcraft season 8's fate:

"mumbo, is the moon... big?"

suddenly, the fans panic. they search back through videos and streams, and realize that the moon had been abnormally large and stuck in a full-moon phase since october 30th. the Moon Big event has begun.

this is where the roleplay really starts. once the moon's size has been brought up, the hermits start a weird combination of scrambling to figure out why the moon's growing, and how to stop it- but also of ignoring it, hoping it won't be a problem, hoping someone else will deal with it. the moon keeps getting bigger, more hermits start realizing it's going on, and a creeping sense of dread starts to grow. but it's fine. it's fine, right? they do little plotlines like this all the time. they'll figure something out, the moon will go back to normal, and we'll laugh about it when this is all over. it's fine.

and then, blocks start flying away. just floating up out of the ground, and falling right back down! like for a moment, a square meter chunk of dirt has decided it's a ballerina and leaped out of the ground! but it's fine, right? the blocks are coming back. no lasting harm is done. they're going to fix it all... right?

the moon gets bigger. it's growing every day- local hermit weirdguy joe hills measures it every stream. the blocks start flying higher. gravity starts getting... weird, with players getting the slow falling effect at random, and being lifted off of the earth themselves. the players form cults and rituals and whatnot to try and appease the moon, convince it to leave them alone, making plans to escape. nothing works. things keep getting worse, and the moon keeps getting bigger. but it'll be fine. these storylines never leave lasting harm, or at least they never have before. they'll be fine.

and then the blocks stop coming back, just floating into the sky forever. the players have the slow falling effect more than they don't now. the moon is now so big it's visible even during the day, and fills the entire sky at night. they start planning their escapes in earnest, and say their goodbyes. some hermits jump into a void hole in the overworld (it was the centerpiece of their village). some flee to the End, some to the nether, some just fly with elytras and hope they can get far enough away in time. one brave hermit, tango, flies himself to the moon in a futile attempt to blow the whole thing up before it can crash.

but in the end, the moon crashes into the server, and everything they'd built was destroyed. and the whole time, there'd been nothing any of them could've done. season eight was over, a full six months before anyone had expected it to end, and season nine wouldn't start until about three months later. and im still not okay about it.

Keep thinking of Rosie allowing everyone else to experience the trauma of war around him in any way they need to. Whether it be after listening to his crew member choke through the Munster story, reaching a hand out to comfort him, making sure the replacements are all settled and feel comfortable with him - establishing that he's someone who can be trusted with any issues - and listening to Crosby tell him he's scared he's becoming a monster and reassuring him, and yet refuses to give himself the same grace.

Thinking about how he doesn't tell Crosby about what he saw after he was shot down, what he witnessed in that camp. He's never really the one telling any stories in the series. He listens and watches, lets others say whatever they need to, all the while keeping his cards close to his chest.

Thinking about Rosie smiling while watching his crew and the other airmen enjoying themselves at the flak house, and yet not allowing himself the same enjoyment. Thinking about how the doctor at the flak house got Rosie to look after himself only when he framed it that looking after himself is looking after his crew.

Thinking about Rosie re-upping, choking slightly on his words as he explains he can't bare the thought of sending some rookie in his place to only get himself and his crew killed.

He won't give himself the grace or patience he deserves, but by god he'll take care of everyone around him.

completely related to anything that's currently just happened, whenever imogen and laudna have a tragic romantic moment together i keep remembering that time during 4sd where marisha said that laudna thought orym was attracted to imogen during the gnarlrock incident and now i want him to be the next to find out about them so laudna can say "Oh Orym It Was So Silly That I Thought You Had A Thing For Imogen Earlier On" and orym can go "laudna i kiss men"

Okk. I don't want to compare or anything but I don't get the people who's getting mad on Korn Tonkla scenes saying they had more screen time? Or shit. I mean tbh, I am understanding the plot of the series better because of the two of them because they are somehow related to all of the events. And Tonkla's situation is...... he somehow senses the other timeline which I think is an important role. And also, Korn! Like what you've said he knows Dome is dead, and at the same time he's with his brother who ’saved’ Dome. Both of the characters are pivotal in the series.

Also, I think that they are more talked about because a Bas and Fuaiz couple was not expected in the series, and at the same time their plot line is really good as well as the build up of their characters. And I've seen more & more people are falling in love with Fuaiz & Bas (as an actor) in this series.

But somehow, I get them because the main couple is GreatTyme but why does it feel like they are becoming more of a side couple. Also saw people saying that their ’plot line’ or how they were introduced to eo /wasn't it./

Thank you for giving me the incentive to speak about this issue, anon. I'm going to do it now because the new episode will come out in a few hours and hopefully I won't have to do this ever again - which I honestly doubt but anyway. Since I haven't seen this type of discourse pop up on Tumblr (thank GOD), I'd like to inform everyone that over on Twitter, there have been massive complaints about Tonkla, aka Fuaiz, getting more screentime than the main characters, aka JesBible, to the point of people tagging BOC in posts and demanding they give them more scenes with TymeGreat - as if BOC can just pull footage they haven't filmed out of their ass or something. It got so bad that Sammon herself saw them and AGREED with these people, further explaining how it was important for some plot elements to be explored now, in order for the rest of the series to make sense. Now, with all due respect to her position as a screenwriter: she's factually wrong here. Someone on Twitter actually sat down and counted the minutes each character is on screen and came out with these results:

It's not in English, but I believe the results are clear: Tonkla doesn't even come close to Great's screentime. He's a little closer to Tyme's, but the main character is Great, so he's the one we should be looking at. Also, in case it hasn't been fucking obvious, Tonkla is an essential character in 4 Minutes, which is why we're getting many scenes with him. The reason I mentioned the actors is pretty self-explanatory - people are mad their favourite actors are shown a specific amount of time, giving space to other plot lines and characters, instead of being there for the whole episode, as if the point of 4 Minutes is the romance between Tyme and Great and nothing else. Meanwhile, Bible himself was laughing and clapping and enjoying the flashback scene between Korn and Tonkla when they had their first time, because Bible wanted to be part of a good production, which he is and he recognizes it. But no, God forbid we get more context over KornTonkla, which is one of the most important relationships in the show, which guides Tonkla's actions, which moves the fucking PLOT of the SHOW. I could give the benefit of the doubt to people being upset Tonkla was shown for not even half of episode 4, but I won't, and the reason for that is because I'm sick and fucking tired of people getting their panties in a twist because a character who loves getting fucked is actually getting fucked in almost every episode. Good for him honestly, even if it's making him worse. (I've already ranted about this whole thing here, I'm not going to repeat myself) I don't know how your social media feeds are like anon, but mine are flooded with BibleJes + GreatTyme content and I rarely see anything about KornTonkla or Bas and Fuaiz or anything of the sort, so I can't agree with you that they're more talked about than the main actors/characters. (That's not the case on Tumblr though: I have a very varied feed + my lovely anon asks which give me the chance to talk about my boys and I'm thankful for that.) And I'm sorry, anon, but I'm going to have to disagree with you in the end: Great and Tyme do NOT feel like the side couple at all. They are and they feel very much like the main couple and they've had multiple scenes together in every single episode so far (at the hospital, in Great's garage, at the park, at the university, at the arcade, inside Great's car, at the rooftop of the hospital, at the warehouse, inside the tent etc). We've gotten plenty of fucking content for them AND also BOC has made sure to give Bible and Jes the chance to do a million interviews together + magazine photoshoots, with only half of the show being done, so fans have zero fucking reason to complain about anything. That's all. Rant over.

There's something so deeply unsettling about Bloodmoon's situation. It's an inner, deep rooted horror!

They have always been two, working as one. And despite their hunger, despite their violence, they worked in perfect harmony, never fighting for control. Or anything, for that matter.

Imagine: You wake up. You are surrounded by the abyss, and your body is aching.

You are hungry, so hungry, it drives you to insanity. So hungry, you want to claw off your skin. So hungry, you want to rip out your insides.

But then there is someone else. They are inside of you. A part of you, yet someone else.

And they understand. They feel the same hunger. Their body aches the same, for theirs is yours, and yours is theirs. You are the same.

You are one. You can hear their voice inside your head, and feel their presence tingle underneath your skin. There is a presence inside of you, and it turns your insides warm. It eases the hunger, eases the pain, just enough to make it bearable.

There is a constant presence inside of you, and your head is never quiet. It is always filled with thoughts, some from you, some from them. Sometimes, they will respond to an idea of yours. Sometimes, you tease them for thinking something silly.

Sometimes your body is heavy, and they will gently tug you back. Their presence is no longer beneath your skin. Instead, it surrounds you, their warmth swallowing you whole. They will think of something to make you laugh, because they are a part of you, and know you better than you know yourself. And when you laugh, you feel their lips, yet your own as well, quirk up into a smirk.

You are never trapped, because you're always free to take control, and they will let you, because they trust you, and you are as much a part of them as they are of you.

You are still hungry, but you are not alone in this hunger. Instead, together, you do anything to fill it, hunting down prey. And when you are unsuccessful, they will simply tug you back, and reassure you, telling you you'll catch it next time.

This is your whole life. From the moment, that you first opened your eyes in the abyss, they were with you.

You do not know loneliness, for they are a part of you. Even as you are used and betrayed, time and time again, you do not learn the meaning of loneliness. Because they are right there with you, feeling the same pain. You can hear their thoughts, their anger, their wrath, yet they never lash out at you, rather killing a rat you've stumbled across. Likewise, you're own thoughts are leaping waves, crashing against your skull and leaving you two with a numb ache. But you are not alone, there is a buzzing beneath your skin, and you find them pulling you in. They do not come out, leaving your shared body leaning against a wall, as their warmth surrounds you. "I am here." they tell you. "I'm not leaving." you reassure. You will never know loneliness.

Except then you do.

You are separated. At first, you do not notice the silence, still high on adrenaline and bloodlust, high on seeing you sibling, your other half, face to face. But then you lose you fight, and there is no one to reassure you, to tell you "good job", or take over and finish it for you.

Suddenly, you become aware of the emptiness. The presence underneath your skin is gone, leaving you freezing. You feel your stomach rumble, but no one notices, no one shares it.

Your head is silent. Their voice is gone. Their presence is gone. You can only hear yourself, and you are left reeling. You feel like a stranger in your own skin, a husk who has lost it's soul.

Then you are told, they won't come back.

The buzzing in your flesh will not return. The warmth inside of you will never save you from the cold again. The voices inside your head are gone for eternity.

The presence inside and around you has left. For the first time in your life, you are truly, and utterly alone.

And you are left feeling like nothing but a parasite in your own shell, for there are meant to be two, not one.

Just imagine: there is a constant weight on top and inside of you, like a weighted blanket, and a voice filling your head. And one day, the weight is gone, and your head is quiet, for the first time since you can remember.

But it's not a relief. The weight was a comfort, and the voice was your friend. They were familiar, and all you've ever known. There was never an existence without either.

GMMTV 2025 Line Up P1

Ok I think I’ve recovered now from watching the whole thing live, and having rested and processed the first 10 trailers here’s what I’m most looking forward to:

1. Dare You To Death

With such a big cast and intriguing murder mystery, I wonder if the BL will end taking a bit of a back seat? Which would be fine for me as I’d be happy with a good plot and a just a little JoongDunk seasoning sprinkled on the top.

Anticipation rating: 7/10

2. Head 2 Head

I LOVED SeaKeen in Only Boo! and I’ve had a soft spot for Java since he was in ABAAB so I’m seated for this one. Fashion students who can see into the future better be gay as hell 🧵🏳️‍🌈🪡

3. Burnout Syndrome

I’m here for The Pillars getting to be in a toxic love triangle. Nuchy and OffGun reunited! Emi and Thor also there!! Off naked!! Gun playing an emo twink!! So many reasons to sign me up!

The first of the amnesia plots. I’ll watch WinnySatang in anything but I’m most excited about MondRyu as the side pair. A secret/closeted relationship sounds really interesting… if done well.
