A few months ago I discovered a small produce market near my house in #pinellaspark ... and I have to say it has taken ALL the stress out of grocery shopping! Just a small, family owned market with fruit, veggies, Mediterranean pantry staples and some baked goods. This kiwi was half the price of #publix and it's divine!!! NO MORE do I have to fight through crowds at Walmart grocery (the only other place around here to get fresh veg that doesn't wilt immediately) or cry over prices for plastic-wrapped everything at Publix. Here's #whatiatewednesday ! Coffee, ricotta on salami, coffee, water, coffee, taco bowl! I drink A LOT OF COFFEE. Absolutely a lot. Don't even wanna hear it if you have some opinion on that, just saying I do! Decided to do the gallon water challenge for the month and I've gotta say I'm loving it. Knowing I need to drink that much seems to make me more likely to do it. It's silly but it works! Probably going to have a bit more water before bed, but ending on these stats: . 1,128 calories 59g protein 8g net carbs 94g fat 151oz water . I'm of the opinion that if you can exceed your water intake for the day, you can have as much coffee as you want (assuming you're not going over carbs or cals). Do your own thing people! You might as well feed your kiddo Halloween candy for their first meal if you think a Pop tart is a good idea. Yesterday, I heard of an 8th grader raking in $30/day by SELLING pop tarts to his buddies at school...$4 for a 2pack of PT! Literally, ate it up! So if you’re putting Pop tarts in the cart...I hope you’re poisoning others peoples kids & not yours. To SOY or not to Soy, that is the question! My Grandparents farmed Soybeans & Corn & Wheat... I’ve wondered if they were helping. Well, at the core, without Manufacturer manipulation These 3 produces are just fine for the consumer! Haven't posted a food log in a minute so bringing back #whatiatewednesday ! Wasn't the best day, meant to get more fat and less protein.. lunch was more protein than I realized it would be, so ran out of calories for extra fat later. Ah well, felt satisfied all day at least and not stuffed! 1,170 calories, 76g protein, 16g net carbs, 88g fat! I've been tweeking my diet, I've found that my body digests Pescatarian meals or fish proteins much easier than Red meats. I don't want to paint myself into a box, saying I only eat this way or that way, Bc that may indicate inauthenticity if you see me eat a burger or a steak, 😳😉! I'm not swearing off red meat, even #grassfed #grassfinished, but I am reducing consumption. Some people make that choice due to ethical or political reasons. For me, it's optimal health. I'm learning that it's easier to make choices to eat or not eat certain foods when you pay attention to how food affects your body, immediately and over a few days. It typically takes me about 72hrs to fully recover from an amazing Red meat based meal. I'm not talking constipation, but energy, sleep, bloating, mood, water retention & more. Once I determine or evaluate the reaction or after-shocks of food, I then decide if the food is serving me or hindering me. Regardless of flavor or taste.
