YK I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT OM STOOD FOR.. ANYWAY CAN WE GET BELPHIE IN THE YAN ALPHABET HOUSE PLEASE :3 ☁️
yandere!belphegor alphabet
彡- ,, yandere om! belphegor alphabet (template from @dear-yandere eheheheh)
cw ⁞ OMSWD CHAPTER 16 SPOILERS, death threats, violence, manipulation, just general yandere behaviour??? not proofread.
an ⁞ lmk if there are any other warnings i should add!
Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
he loves cuddling and napping with you. it may not seem like he loves you — the only sign of affection you receive, being cuddles and naps. but trust me, his love for you is INTENSE... he has slaughtered many people for you. past lovers, bullies, any and all who have wronged you.
Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?
he's willing to eliminate anyone for you. it can get very messy... lucifer has had to call for help to clean up evidence before. although his older brother tries his best to clean up after him, word still got out about the youngest's aggressive tendencies — simply because he leaves too many crime scenes behind, it's almost impossible to clean them all in such a short time. he's probably thought of eradicating the whole of purgatory hall and diavolo's castle too.
Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?
100%. you've heard him call you the meanest names before. he will always remind you of your place as a human —you'll always be inferior to him, like his little pet.
Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?
putting you to sleep when and wherever he likes. arguing with him? go to sleep, maybe you'll start talking sense when you wake. out in public? he suddenly feels like you've spent too long outside, go to sleep, he'll take you home.
Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?
he doesn't tell you much, other than reports of only some of his victims. he keeps most of his carnal, deranged thoughts to himself. you're still well aware of his mania through his actions but you'll never know how deep his violent rabbit hole goes.
Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?
if he's in a good mood, he might play along, just don't take it too far. if he's not, he'll lazily warn you first. if that doesn't work, he'll threaten you — reminding you of what he's done, what he can always do. if you decide to continue being a 'brat', he won't hesitate to wring your neck — not too harshly, he still needs to keep you around.
Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?
he thinks it's amusing. he forces you test his limits and wear skimpy clothes out and visit the dangerous places he's warned you about. he'll let you go out and 'have your fun' but he's stalking your every move — like you're his prey. he likes feeling jealous of the other people around you so he can 'reclaim' you back at home. (read N for what happens at home hehe)
Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?
you went too far with your 'teasing' one night and it ended in him strangling you with his tail again. you were seeing all black, your struggling limbs almost giving out on you. you genuinely thought you were going to succumb to the same demon again, but he eventually let go of you. it took you awhile to recover — laying on the floor, having a coughing fit and your vision still barely coming back. he stared down at you before letting out a satisfied "hmph." maybe you'll learn your lesson this time.
Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?
believe it or not, he does imagine marriage with you. you, walking down the aisle in a beautiful wedding dress, towards him. he'll prepare a ring for you once you've settled down with him and stop fighting back. (he won't be doing any chores in the rs)
Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?
he stirs up his own feelings of jealousy so it's kind of his fault. he likes possessing you and claiming you as his. whether or not its by punishments or marking you physically. (should i make a nsfw continuation of this...?)
Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?
he loves the scent of you —stealing pieces of your clothing to smell and sleep with. he'll stick his nose as deep into your neck as he can to get the essence of you into his system. this is part of why he loves cuddling and napping with you too — holding you closely and wrapping his tail and limbs around you.
Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?
he does get broody if you hang out around other people other than beel. anyone else from HoL, purgatory hall and especially diavolo and barbatos are completely off limits to you. before he started acted aggressively, he would defensively lurk around you to make sure no one got too affectionate with you. when you notice him, he has to clutch his shirt to stop his thumping heart from beating out of his chest. surely this means you appreciate his protection!
Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?
nope. he acts aggressively towards everyone but beel. everyone close to the brothers are aware of his hostility and have tried reasoning with him before but has basically given up. diavolo has tried restraining the youngest brother again but lucifer has promised to keep his violence at bay.
Naughty: How would they punish their darling?
oh... he's cruel. if he's lenient, he'll give you nightmares in your sleep. if you've been disobedient, good luck... he'll wrap his tail around your neck, giving it a tight squeeze — reminding you of your previous end. you never know if he'll actually take your life again — that's what's most scary. he knows how much it terrifies you but he's a demon baby, it's what they do.
Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?
your health is constantly at risk after your body has had to endure multiple chokings but proper healthcare isn't available to you. the only medication you'll get is some ointment meant for demon burns.
Patience: How patient are they with their darling?
it depends on his mood. he's very unpredictable, with his patience levels fluctuating very often — making him all the more dangerous.
Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?
he would be in a state of pure disbelief for months, hallucinating and dreaming versions of you. then, he'll move onto finding ways to bring you back or pray that you'll return back to him in hell. (we all goin to hell for even reading this bffr)
Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?
although he lets you roam around devildom somewhat freely, he'll never completely let go of you. you're his to keep and possess.
Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?
being locked up in the attic created attachment issues in him. he finds a need to claim you and feel wanted by you. when you come running back to him, he feels euphoria — even if you're forced to.
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
he feels uneasy, not knowing how to confront the situation directly so he uses the only method he knows. putting you to sleep is the easiest way for him to sedate you and calm you down. isolating yourself breaks his heart but he'll try his best to break your defensive stance and get you to come and cuddle to ease the tension away.
Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?
(i'll skip this since i still dont't know the definition of a classic yandere TT)
Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?
if you could somehow find a way to possess a spell book, you could try finding a way to create a clone of you while the real you goes to find diavolo or barbatos. they have the authority and power to guard you from him and lock him back in that attic. lucifer will definitely be disappointed that he's failed to protect you again but you've had enough.
Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?
yes. (read F and N)
Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?
he treasures whatever affection you spare him and he secretly worships the ground you walk on. he doesn't try to win you over because there is no one for him to compete for him the begin with! none of them can fight him if they're all six feet below ground.
Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?
he could only stand watching you from afar for a few months before snapping. he couldn't go on any longer without you in his room, in his arms, under his control and claim.
Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?
yes yes yes and yes. he doesn't care if you lose your mind, then you'll be even more susceptible to his manipulation. you'll be much more obedient and finally stop whining and struggling all the damn time!

Alright alright, a lot more people than I expected liked that ask I got.
Below: Stephan, his wife, and his otha wife
So: Stephan Bradshaw is the third generation of a long term Sims 4 game I'm playing. Long story short I'm doing a series of challenges back-to-back, starting with his grandma.
Rest under the cut because it got really long, and this is just the quick backstory and introducing all the household members
Tonya Cavanaugh was rolled up for the Asylum Challenge, and then moved on to the the Rags to Riches Challenge once she completed that. She married Sage Ackerman, and had twin daughters Lexie and Lacy. (Lexie had a pretty interesting life as well (and death, and rebirth, and near death again) but I'll save that for another time). During college, Lacy met Brenden Bradshaw, and they married after graduation. They then had Stephan, who would continue the family legacy of doing challenges! (They also had a surprise baby Naomi after I switched active households)
Now Stephan was set up to do the Runaway Teen Challenge (which does mean he's a high school dropout, and for the plot had a strained relationship with his parents), and then once a young adult started something inspired by the Cult or Commune Challenge (the original full rules are lost, as far as I looked at least, so it's really just inspiration). It's more of a free love, self-sustaining homesteading community that turns into a cult of personality down the line, and thankfully he's fitting into that role wonderfully.
Below: The legend himself, Stephan, and Arturo being friendly with the farm critters
The first person to move in with Stephan was Arturo Landgraab (disclaimer: the game cannot figure out how he connects back to the original Landgraab household. His mother is someone named Karen, no father, but it shows Malcolm as his full blooded brother. Don't know what happened in that family. He looks like a Landgraab though.) They met as teens and became besties, and Arturo was the last one living in the Landgraab house, so he moved in with Stephan out of loneliness. The commune life wasn't really fulfilling for him though, so he moved out after a while. Something about not going anywhere in life. He still visits often!
The second person to move in was Abdullah Caliente, son of Kiyoshi Ito and Dina Caliente. He met Stephan when they were teens as well, and the life on a homestead sounded romantic. It's turned out to be much more... grimy than he expected. The life agrees with him some days and irritates him others, but he's willing to stick around. Mostly because Stephan is sweet on him.
Below: Abdullah and Rita helping with gardening chores
The third to join the homestead community was Rita Assaoui, daughter of Mehdi and Princess Assaoui (Pretty sure they're randomly generated townies). They met during Abdullah's High School graduation and hit it off pretty quick. She's one of the more headstrong ones in the group, but her and Stephan have a bit of a when-they're-both-in-the-mood kind of relationships. His charm is the reason she moved in, anyway. She also flirts here and there with the others when the mood strikes, but most aren't really up her alley.
Fourth to join was Lucille Katz, daughter of Hugo Villareal and Danica Katz (likely a townie). She also met the group at Abdullah's graduation, and visited a few times to see what things were like. When she moved in, she and Stephan hit it off nearly immediately, and ended up with one of the strongest relationships in the household (much to Abdullah's annoyance). The life fits her extremely well, and she's thriving almost as much as Stephan. They also recently had a baby boy! Garrett Bradshaw, who somehow got red hair. But his aunt has red hair so I'm guessing a recessive gene.
Below: Lucille on laundry duty, Rylie chatting up customers at the homestead's market stall, and Stephan with baby Garret
Fifth to join was Rylie Volkov, daughter of Kristopher Volkov and Lilith Pleasant. She joined because of Stephan's charm and flirting as well, also after visiting a few times so they could get to know each other. But despite the initial charm, she and Stephan seem to have a hot and cold, on again off again relationship. Not for lack of trying on his part. But she does seem to have a thing for one of the residents in a rental on the property.
He's... "courting" I guess would the the best term, a couple other people. With Arturo moving out he has a spot in the community he'd like to fill, but the last few people he's tried to befriend didn't sit well with him. And he will, of course, flirt shamelessly with them once they move in.
Below: Potential new housemates getting vetted with the "tried and true" method of playing Thumbs Up
(Fun family facts: Rylie's half-brother is married to Lucille's aunt, and Abdullah's half-brother has a kid with Arturo's half-sister. The family trees in this game get nuts the longer you go. I'm not about to make it any better)
There are a few other people technically living on the homestead, but they reside in "rental units". Stephan set them up for people wanting to try out the homesteading life without fully committing, vagrants needing a place to stay that only cost labor, or simply anyone willing to live on an off-the-grid farm. (Doylist reason: I didn't want to control that many sims, but wanted a more populated commune. It's working for the most part. They help out with chores in the shared areas, and hang out with the rest of the group. Depending on how many children I decide to let Stephan have, Rylie and whichever new person may move into one to make space)
#the sims 4#ts4#ts4 gameplay#dear god what do I tag this as#I can't even use like ''the bradshaw legacy'' cuz I don't have a consistent surname in this family#I'll figure it out if and when I post more about them

Cult of the lamb spoilers
I really love the god x cult leader dynamic (I even have a post somewhere on my blog talking about an original story with that idea, that I’ll hopefully get around to writing eventually)
But a dynamic I hadn’t considered before but am now obsessed with is shunned past cult leader x new cult leader
Your god is chained up and relying on you (why you, was it because you were avoiding death? was it because you were desperate?) so you try, but ultimately, you fail, your cult is barely even a cult, definitely not even recognizable as one
So it makes sense you’d get replaced
Your replacement is straight out of a prophecy, and it’s that prophecy that brought them close to being sacrificed (made them desperate, so they accepted the crown, a self fulfilling prophecy perhaps?) before they accepted being a cult leader
You show them how to do things, invite them to your place to play a game whenever they want, you don’t live at the new cult (but you’re still loyal? you must be, you haven’t been killed, why haven’t you been killed?), but you can still tell it’s going well
This new one, your replacement, they don’t walk like they feel the weight of others whispering about them being a terrible follower (they don’t walk like you), they don’t look haggard, and it seems like they actually thrive more and more each time you see them, the crown fits them well
Maybe you weren’t the best follower, the best cult leader, but you’re still here so you must’ve been the most loyal, maybe you weren’t someone saved before a tragedy, maybe you were someone who joined completely willingly (maybe that’s why you never had the drive to get better), so you stay in your little shack, separate from your god’s cult, but still faithfully praying every day and generating devotion
Then one day, your mentee, the one you trained, the one who surpassed you, the one who still visits you even though so many others only give your name a passing thought when they want to look down on something (the one who only wanted to live), visits you
And you find out they killed your god
And replaced them
Are you still loyal? To the god who now lives as a follower, not even a cult leader, or are you loyal to the cult itself, whose doctrine has been rewritten by this “new” god? Someone who used to be on the same level as you, someone who tore apart several gods just to stay alive? (If you aren’t loyal to them, do you dare to make that known?) What happens to you now? Does it even matter? You just stay at your shack, continue praying to your statue, playing with your friends, and sometimes you’ll play a game with your replacement that became a god (nothing changes for you, did none of it matter, or did you just not matter?)
Maybe you resent them, for being better than you, for having the ability to free your god and not doing it, for replacing your god and turning them into a low level follower
Or maybe you’re okay with this, maybe you never really wanted this job in the first place, maybe you always liked them, and praying at the statue (their statue now) isn’t just a chore, but something you look forward to
Anyways none of that was really about the romance itself, but I just thought it had a cool dynamic and a lot you could do with it, and exploring it romantically would be fun, and I thought that was gonna be popular
But then I finally went into the tag and it turns out a lot of people consider Ratau to be like an adoptive parent to the Lamb (apparently if you go the route I’d sacrificing Ratau, you find a letter afterwards in the shack that kinda implies it, but I still think it’s kinda open ended, also you really don’t see too much on screen mentoring from Ratau, it was v quick and then most of them meeting up is to play that game)
So yeah, new dynamic I love, but so far haven’t seen it explored anywhere

Hey Red, what actually happened with Eri in TLWA?
*platonically kisses your forehead and brushes back your hair* Lox always coming through for me.
Just a general FYI that I have So Much Background Lore on TLWA verse and will gleefully talk about it at anytime to anyone who shows the slightest interest.
Anyway! I made the decision early on in planning that the Raid arc would fail. The Shie Hassaikai arc was maybe hmm 1-2 months following All Might's (at the time not publicly known) death. Only a dozen people know AM is dead and a handful know about OFA and Izuku being its intended successor. Nighteye reacts to the death poorly and takes it out on Izuku who is NOT invited to his agency. Not to get sidetracked but I also really liked how that disagreement unfurled with Mirio finding out that Nighteye had been grooming him to replace AM and was unhappy Mido was chosen instead. This is what leads to Mirio leaving Nighteye's agency and developing a close, almost brotherly bond with Izuku.
Anywayyy, I needed Nighteye to fail to demonstrate the difference btw him and Izuku in Toshinori's life. Thus, Eri and Chisake get away. It's the first of a many unsuccessful jobs by Nighteye who has lost the heart for it but also, he didn't adapt to the loss of AM, couldn't see the world changing beyond his hero. He retired in disgrace not long after Izuku is named Symbol of Peace in Rise Up.
Gosh I keep getting sidetracked, Eri stayed with Chisake a few more, miserable, painful years. It sad and tragic but Eri eventually learns no one is going to save her so she has to save herself. It takes planning and perfect timing but one day, when Chisake was torturing her as always, he slipped and she was able to permanently rewind him. She flees. In the meantime, Chisake was now devoted all of his time to the quirk destroying bullets recognizing it as the game changer they are. There's now thousands of vials but, with the primary ingredient (Eri) gone, its now a limited supply. A bunch of ineffective, temporary knockoffs flood the market.
Eri is probably about 8ish? And lives rough for a while, she is forced to use her quirk just to survive and stay out of enemy hands. She is eventually taken in by a group of runaway/abandoned kids who band together and protect each other. It was there, through trial, error and practice she finally gets her quirk under control. She is used at first to run chores, to being the distraction as the cute kid to full on participating in petty theft and such to stay alive. She still fears the retribution of the 8 Precepts and doesn't want to go public so she stays in the underground.
She grows up, stronger and more confident but also bitter and jaded that no one helped her. She's against heroes, not in a villain way but in a 'they can't really help anyway'. In between her small crimes, she does little acts of vigilantism here and there, bc she can't stand to see someone mistreated in front of her, will not ignore suffering. On one of these bursts, she runs into the hero Deku, who's just opened his own agency. Queue a messy, several year long back and forth where Izuku tries to help her and she refuses it, untrusting of his intentions.
But she pays attention to the work he does, how he treats people. He even encourages her vigilantism by giving her info on things he legally can't meddle with. She doesn't quite trust him but she does respect him. She is an angry stray cat he can occasionally get to take a few scraps of love out of his hand. He offered her numerous times to get her legally in the system, to foster her and she never can never accept. She is happy, acting in her own capacity for herself. Just knowing that there are heroes out there like him, it gives her a bit more faith in people. She is happy and fiercely loyal to her people. Maybe someday, she'll want the stability of a normal life but for now, answering to no one and working through her own anger and grief through saving others is what she needs.
Her reputation grows, quietly and under the radar as a silent but incredibly effective vigilante who works the areas no one else does. The police are baffled, Deku has no comment on the matter but he does know this teen who is really kind and really powerful who wishes he had been able to save. But in the end while it wasn't okay, she survived and saved her. And now she's doing the same to other lost boys and girls.
#fic: the long way around#I need a verse tag#I have soooooo much dirt and nuance to the whole Nighteye/Mirio/Izuku relationship implosion#Nighteye is so much worse and Mirio nopes tf out#I didn't have the heart to kill Eri#but didnt know what to do with her until I write Dwell#and realized oh she saved herself and now is saving others#but the extra years damaged her#she doesn't trust anyone#but she'll get there#she's like 16 in Dwell#anyway tldr: she escapes (kills) Chisake becomes a thief then a vigilante

hi... how about head cannons about the dorm leaders with a magical girl mc from either the puella magi magica madoka, magical girl site, magical girl raising project or princess tutu universe please?
I'll be doing Magical Girl Raising Project for this one! I’ll be using the abilities found in the anime since I’m not creative enough to think of any myself. The personalities of the characters themselves have nothing to do with the abilities I chose, they’re their own person! This is written as platonic! I hope this is alright!
As an extra note, this was a really interesting topic to write about. I enjoyed it! I actually just binge watched this anime for this request! It was quite good, I might pick up the light novels!
Warning: Mild mentions of gore; spoilers for Magical Girl Raising Project(?)
Dorm leaders reacting to a Magical Girl Mc
A new game has been released! Customize your own Magical Girl and work hard to defeat monsters!
Granted a 1-in-10,000 chance to be a real-life Magical Girl, the unfortunate souls who agree to the contract are unknowingly pulled into a world of bloodshed. All Magical Girls are expected to collect Magical candies through acts of helpfulness. Whomever is at the bottom of the ranking list by the end of the week is greeted by death. That is, if they can even make it that far.
Magic: Swimming through objects as if they were water - the objects do not affect the user as they pass through them.
He’s never heard of an ability quite like yours! It isn’t teleportation--it’s literally going through objects, ignoring any kind of barrier. It sounds impossible. Understandably, he doesn’t believe you until you show him.
Please refrain from popping out of random places in an attempt to scare him. He doesn’t want to be on edge everyday, the stress he has now is more than enough.
He’s curious about the whole situation. Just how and why did these “people” wrap you (and others) into such a terrible contract? How is it possible to grant these special abilities onto otherwise magicless people? Unfortunately, you most likely don’t have answers for those questions.
Sadly, Riddle doesn’t know of a way to help you out of this. The library may have some information, but the chances are slim nonetheless. He can offer assistance in candy collecting instead!
Something always seems to be going on at his dorm, it would help him greatly if you were to keep an eye on everything and everyone. He knows it isn’t much, but every little bit counts. You have his full support.
Magic: Entering the dreams of others - the ability to pass through the Dream World, granting access to the dreams of those who are currently sleeping.
He’s extremely annoyed. He doesn’t understand what’s happening. He’s only seen you a couple times before, so why do you seem to plague all of his dreams?
In his dreams, you move so vividly and in-character, it baffles him. Dream versions of people can be accurate, but never to such an extent each time. He’ll confront you about it soon enough. He has no evidence of what you’re doing, however vivid memories of dream-you push him to demand answers anyways.
Highly uncomfortable to know his dreams, his usual safe place, can be invaded by a person. He demands that you stop. You can go bother someone else, he doesn’t need that kind of help. If he sees you in there one more time, he may have to resort to other methods to get you to stop.
In regards to earning candies, unless you ask him specifically for help, there isn’t much he can do. You can always help Ruggie out with chores around Savanaclaw and you’ll be set. It’s a good deal for both sides, you can earn some candies and Leona can finally sleep comfortably again.
He finds the system you’re stuck in deplorable. Unfortunately, he can’t get you out of it, but if you ever need extra help he can always have Ruggie find one or two ways to get you those extra candies you need.
Magic: Hearing the thoughts of those in need - with enough training, the user can pinpoint the location of a person. Additionally, they can hear thoughts apart from cries for help.
Your special magic interests him greatly. He already has a good pool of information of all the students, but being able to hear their most inner thoughts is something truly amazing. No amount of research could easily give him those kinds of details.
He has the twins watch over you for a bit, gathering as much information as they can about your situation and what you go about doing.
Given the circumstances, he doubts he can rob this ability of yours through a contract. This does however present an amazing opportunity.
This could blossom into a wonderful partnership. You need to collect candies, and he’s always willing to accept requests from those “poor” souls who need help. By helping him, you can meet your quota! The rules never did mention what kind of help you were limited to offer after all.
He pities you, nothing can be done about your situation at the moment. You can rest assured though, you’ll never be at the bottom of the leaderboard with him around!
When time allows it, Floyd and Jade will be busy poking their noses where they don’t belong. The mascot that appears when you’re around seems to come from that phone you use. If they can see it, then that means these beings have made a mistake somehow. Is it possible to find a way to free you from this through that?
Magic: Transforming into any biologically living being - the size and shape of the creature do not matter, anything is fair game.
When he first discovers your special magic, he’ll be amazed! Transformation magic isn’t exactly easy, so being able to turn into whatever creature you want sounds like a lot of fun!
He’ll be begging you to turn into a wide variety of animals. Can you please turn into a tiger? How about an elephant? Maybe an alpaca? This could go on for hours if you don’t stop him.
Upon learning the darker side of the Magical Girl world, he starts to cry. He knows the world isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, but this is too cruel. You didn’t know you would suffer this way. They should have at least given you all the information beforehand. Better yet, they shouldn’t be doing something so awful in the first place.
Because he finds it hard to keep secrets from Jamil, he ends up telling him about you. He then needs to convince Jamil that you aren’t trying to get him killed.
He goes around asking if people need help. He wants to do everything he can to ensure you survive. Money can’t get you out of this game, he’s tried to use it but that mascot that follows you around always refuses it.
Kalim doesn’t want you to die. Just thinking about it makes his head spin and worry bubble. It wouldn’t be his fault if you died in the first place, but the guilt would consume him entirely.
Magic: Freely manipulating sound - the user can generate sound from anywhere and even recreate the voices of others. As an added result of this ability, the user has enhanced hearing.
Vil won’t forgive you if you decide to mimic Epel’s voice so he can escape. He may be evading his lessons for now, but Vil will find a way to drill them into him later on.
He never would have thought such a thing was possible. This terrible fate you’ve had forced onto you makes no sense. The beautiful power you’ve been given is nothing compared to the price. He doesn’t blame you, he blames whatever is doing this.
If such a game exists in the world of Twisted Wonderland, he’ll use his influence to dissuade people from playing. Vil will do this behind the scenes of course, his public image has to remain intact.
He actively requests your assistance. For example, helping his dorm improve their instrument playing--your impressive hearing can detect small mistakes they need to work on. Apart from this, he regrettably can’t offer more help.
Hone your abilities and work with what you have. He knows you can prevail. Please take care of yourself as you move forward.
Magic: Receiving one futuristic tool a day - the ability to randomly pick one useful tool out of 444,444,444. The tool breaks down and is no longer of use after a day passes.
He’s in awe. A real life Magical Girl! To think they could really exist outside of anime! Just what kind of world did you come from? Forget living in a world where magic is common, Magical Girls are on a different level entirely! Curiosity gnaws at him, but given how shy he is he won’t approach you with questions himself. Ortho is more than happy to ask any questions for him in his place though!
Once he finds out you’re one of those Magical Girls, he feels a tad sympathetic. You really got the short end of the stick in life didn’t you? He knew the possibility was there, that trope is not uncommon, but a small piece of him wished it wasn’t the case.
He supposes your special magic can be compared to gacha luck. You never really know what you’re going to get. Unfortunately, in your case you can’t even calculate rates for good rolls.
If you’re willing to let him, he’ll happily take apart the tools and gadgets you get from your daily pull. One of those future items should help him create even better machines than he can now! And even they can’t, disassembling and reassembling objects he’s never seen is a thrill in and of itself
If you happen to hear a small tip from Ortho or someone else about an issue occurring around campus, it may or may not have been Idia. He has eyes all around the school, spotting problems is quite easy.
He’ll be rooting for you from the sidelines. You’re a protagonist in this story, he hopes you can make it through to the end.
Magic: Extreme regeneration - being able to recover from any wound so long as a portion of the user’s body is left.
Mortified when he finds your body all mangled and bruised after a rough “accident.” Malleus is ready to destroy whoever or whatever did this to you. He cares about you greatly, the very thought of seeing you in such a state makes his stomach churn and pure rage wash over him.
Once you explain your situation, he can grasp enough to understand the major gist of it. He doesn’t quite know what a “Magical Girl” is but obviously it isn’t something good. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be in such a terrible situation.
To know that you can take care of yourself in the face of danger, makes him relieved. Although he doesn’t like the idea of you getting hurt at all, a healing ability is always wonderful to possess.
While you earn candies, Malleus will be working on a way to free you.
Even if these beings who granted you this ability are “all-powerful,” his magical capabilities are among the top in all the world. Perhaps, he can start by politely asking for answers from the leader of this group. If that seems to fail, killing off that mascot seems like a good place to start instead.

Loki x Sylvie fanfiction: Playing house (Rated T, Humor) Part 1
In which the ones at the end of time place them in a reality where they are a married couple in a suburban town, à la WandaVision.
Master list of my Loki x Sylvie fanfiction can be found here.
---
They didn't know what to expect at the end of time. But they certainly didn't expect to open the door to the citadel and walk into a town.
"This must be an illusion", Loki says in horror as he takes in his new surroundings- two storied houses in every shade of pastel, gardens of roses, lillies and lilacs, wide open roads, pavements lined with freshly cut bushes. "This isn't real."
It looks real enough though. It feels real too.
This is the quintessential suburban town. And they are in a quintessential suburban house.
"They have trapped us in a nightmare", Loki concludes, scanning the new neighborhood again, this time spotting the children playing tennis in the front lawn of the house next door.
Sylvie touches the door frame with the words "Mr. and Mrs. Low-key" etched in the wood in gold. Her fingers trace the letters. It feels so surreal and impossible, yet it feels just as real as she is. "Apparently, we're married in this reality."
"It's not all bad then", he concludes cheekily.
She gives him a death stare. "I don't have time to play house with you right now."
He shrugs. "Until we find a way out, we have to." He checks out the neighborhood one last time for any identifiable imminent threats, before walking back into the house- their house. Holding the door open, he gestures to Sylvie. "Coming?"
She smooths the wrinkles in the sundress she has ended up with, vowing to definitely kill the bastards that did this.
-
The interior of the house does not suit two gods of mischief at all. It's all very... quaint. The sofa is soft and snuggly, the telly hanging from the velvet painted walls is huge, her wardrobe has way too many dresses and skirts, and the knives in the kitchen look like they'd be hard to kill a man with.
"Can you conjure me up something less-" she vaguely gestures at her figure, her lips arched in an angle that spells distaste.
He understands exactly what she means, but does exactly what he wants. With a snap of his fingers, he conjures up an entire rack of clothes for her.
She checks them out one by one, noticing how every jeans, every top is designed a specific way. "These look very tight."
His grin tells her it's intentional.
"You know I can still wipe that smug look off your face in this reality, right?" Her voice expresses how serious she is.
He waves his hands again, and this time, a second rack of clothes materialises, ones which are more functional.
She picks a jeans and oversized top and disappears into the bedroom.
He plops down on the sofa, staring at the Van Gogh hanging from the wall, wondering what their next move should be.
---
The ring of the doorbell breaks them out of their contemplation.
Sylvie grabs every single knife she can find in the kitchen drawers, Loki grabs the mop. Gesturing to each other, they open the door at the count of three, to find a woman standing there with a casserole in her hands.
"Hiya neighbor", she says cheerily. "I heard that you two just moved in. Oh my, that's a lot of knives."
Sylvie holds one up to her throat. "Who sent you?"
The woman grimaces, keeping her eyes fixed at the spot where the knife touches her skin. "My husband. He thought we should welcome our neighbors."
"Liar", Sylvie barks, and increases the pressure on the knife. "Tell me who sent you here before I cut your tongue out and feed it to the cats."
It's at this moment that Loki decides he has to intervene before the situation escalates to unnecessary murder.
"Sylvie, Sylvie, honey", he coos, slowly guiding her away with a gentle touch to her shoulders. "This lovely woman is not the friend I was expecting." He pushes her inside the house, at a safe distance from the lady, before throwing a charming smile in her direction. "I am so sorry. My friend was supposed to visit, I asked my wife to help me play a prank on her. She thought it was you. It's all a giant misunderstanding. Allow me to apologize profusely on behalf of my wife."
Sylvie switches between glaring at the lady and at her "husband".
The lady laughs nervously. "It's quite alright."
Loki extends his hand. "Hi, I'm Loki." He wraps his other arm around Sylvie's waist to pull her close. She tenses, and for a moment he thinks the knife will end up aimed at his throat, but she relaxes a little and gives the neighbor a tiny smile. "And this is my wonderful wife, Sylvie."
The lady shakes his hand. "I'm Agnes. So nice to meet you. Where are you from? Low-key, that sounds Nordic. Are you from Norway?"
"No."
"Yes."
They answer at the same time, then glare at each other, as if their answer was the only acceptable one.
Loki rushes to fix it before Agnes gets suspicious. "What my wife means is, we are from Norway originally, but we moved here from Alabama."
Agnes smiles. "That's a long way from home. Welcome to the neighborhood."
---
Sylvie erupts the moment the neighbor leaves and their doors are closed. "Why the bloody hell are we playing along with this ruse?"
Loki looks at her seriously. "What is the alternative? Murder our way out of here? Slaughter an entire innocent town?"
"No, no, no no." She paces till she is standing directly in front of him, holding her chin up in a posture of challenge. "Why slaughter a town when you can rule it, right?"
He lets out a sigh. Leaning his head back and closing his eyes, he takes in a deep breath. He needs all the strength in the world to reason with her. He opens his eyes again and begins. "We don't know how we got here. We don't know what dangers are here. We can't plan an escape like that. We need to gather information and learn everything we can about this place."
"This place is clearly hell", she roars, letting out a scream that shoots a wave of energy out of her hands and shatters the coffee table.
"Perfect", he mutters under his breath, as he picks up the mop.
---
"I'm hungry." She announces after an hour of sitting on the sofa, sulking, while going through the hundred different channels and trying to pick even a single thing worth watching.
"Oh yes, me too." He agrees quickly. "Starving, actually."
She motions at the cell phones on the table that the house came with. "I suppose we should order something like humans do."
"Yes, of course." He nods in agreement. He picks up the phone closest to him, swipes up the screen, and sees the wallpaper of him and Sylvie, on a beach, hand in hand, in matching Hawaiin shirts, with matching grins on their faces. He knows this isn't real, this has never actually happened to them, but it makes him smile anyway. Swiping to the side, he notices the phone comes with too many games. There are also apps that he knows from advertisements. Opening one that promised good food in no time, he stares blankly at the incoherent list that pops up.
She gets impatient after a few minutes. "Well?"
He purses his lips. It's difficult to admit defeat. "I don't actually know how to order."
She blinks in disbelief. "What?"
"I don't know how to order food." He repeats.
"How can you not know how to order food?"
"Well, I've never had to do it myself." He says, irritated, before his tone turns boastful. "I've always had someone do it for me." Food was never even a concern in Asgard. On earth, he has always had some human gladly do it for him. No God would ever bother with the trivial details of food ordering.
"Lucky you." She says dryly, before snatching the phone out of his hands. She pauses to look at the wallpaper as well, at the waves and the sand and the two happy people that represent a life that they can have if they choose to. Before the thought can take its root in her mind, she quickly focuses on ordering.
He stares at her in awe. "Where did you learn how to do that?"
"I didn't exactly grow up in an Asgardian palace." She rolls her eyes. "I had jobs, Loki. I know how to look after myself."
"I am so glad I'm stuck here with you." He says with a grin. "It makes everything easier."
"It's not that easy. We still need to pay for the food." She points out. Then a horrifying thought occurs to her. "Do we even have money?"
He wants to point out he can just conjure some, but before the words can form in his mouth, she rushes to the kitchen, rummaging through the drawers. He follows, and opens the refrigerator, staring at the inside of the freezer.
"People don't keep cash in the freezer, Loki."
"I knew that." He lies.
She switches to the bedroom, and he follows her there as well. She looks through the dresser drawer, the wardrobe, and searches under the pillow. He looks under the bed.
"Look at us. Searching for money to buy food with. What a shame." He muses out loud. "Mortals used to offer food to Gods."
"Food and virgins." She spits the words out angrily. "I hate these archaic ways."
"Oh, me too, me too." He pretends to agree. He likes being worshipped. He likes the food and the offerings. The virgins? Well, he took virgins in a very different, very alive way, and they were all very willing.
"I don't think we have money in this house." She announces, sitting down on the bed with a huff. "Is this his masterplan? Make us starve to death?"
"Allow me." He snaps his fingers, and wads of cash appears in her hands. This is what he was going to do before Sylvie started searching and he decided it's best to first find out what useful items they have in this house.
"That's handy", she notes. "I suppose it'll be easy for you to do chores around the house."
"I don't do chores." He declares.
She glares at him.
"I don't know how to do chores." He clarifies.
Her glare never loses its edge. "Well you better figure it out soon then, before I cut your fingers off."
---
They eat in complete silence, adjusting to this new reality they have found themselves in. Loki tries to make conversation, tries to tell her a story of banquets in Asgard, but she stares absent-mindedly into the distance, and he takes the hint.
Night arrives quickly.
"I'm exhausted. We should sleep." Sylvie admits. She gets up, ready to change into something more comfortable for the night.
He gets up too, and heads in the direction of the other bedroom. Of course, all he wants to do is snuggle up close to her. He can think of a hundred excuses to talk her into it too. But he holds back. "Well, I wish you a very merry slumber."
She doesn't want to focus on why she does it, but she calls out to him. "We should stick together. Just in case the enemy decides to attack while we're asleep."
He stops in his tracks, smiling like a fool. "I agree. Clever plan."
Ten minutes later, they are both awkwardly lying side by side in bed.
Sylvie stares at the ceiling, at the glow-in-the-dark stickers that are shining. "Is that what people's ceilings look like?"
"Mostly children's."
"The constellations..." She notices. "They're slightly different."
"Yes." He smiles. "This is the view from Midgard, not Asgard."
"Oh."
It's quiet for a while. Loki wonders if she fell asleep. Then he hears her whisper. "I hate this."
"Why are you suddenly acting like this?" He finally asks. "You have been patient your whole life, planning everything for years. You always have a plan, and a good one. Now you're suddenly in a rush to get out of here. Why?"
She doesn't answer. She doesn't even open her eyes. With her focus on the darkness behind her eyelids, it is easy to forget that this is the most peaceful evening she has ever had, that this is the life she always wanted, the life she has been fighting for.
He studies her features, memorizing the way she looks when she tries to fall asleep. Tentatively, he touches her hand. Her fingertips twitch involuntarily, before she responds by taking his hand. He gives it a reassuring squeeze. "We'll get out of here, I promise you."

you will become a memory.
manhunt au! dream team, badboyhalo. general hunter mini headcanons
caution. death, insane sapnap per usual, maybe hints of yandere
DREAM.
─ “to hunt or be hunted.”
to be the hunter when he is usually the hunted is uncommon, but it is welcomed all the same ─ dream will revel in your fear from start, to finish as long as he possibly can. confident enough in his abilities to let you roam about in the world for a lengthy period of time because the direction of this compass will always point to where you resided. he’s not even worried when you reach the nether. whatever pace you decide to go about, will he respectively follow a suit, choosing to be calm and calculating. you don’t hear him ever speak from the ear piece, only the sounds of his shoes crushing the leaves below him as he gains closer, and closer towards your way. letting the impending dread crawl in.
he’ll let you have that sense of security, before tearing it all away.
to strike fear in others... it is what he does best.
sometimes you can get him to have conversation, just not for long. no larger than five minutes because he always returns to the same withdrawn, quiet self everyone knows him by. maybe smart, funny comments here and there to fill in the initial silence, but they are all disregarded by the fact that dream is coming to kill you regardless. there’s nothing he wants to change about that, you both signed yourself for this situation... he’s simply going to honor what it takes to be a professional, merciless hunter. an unofficial title he silently wears like an emblem. so you were doomed from the very start the moment it’s been heard who’d be tracking you down exactly.
out of everyone, they send out him, making you wonder as if the whole world wanted you to perish.
death is to be expected. you can still be good friends and still die at his hands. you’ll let him, won’t you? it’s destiny, your destiny, and everyone knows nobody can escape it once their future has been set, written in stone. what is there to have hope for? a painless death, maybe, depends on how dream feels that exact moment ─ their pain is what makes up a part of the amusement in the chase. although, it’s not like he’s going to drag it out unlike a close friend of his. do not fret, you’ll go down in history as the first prey he’s bothered to open up to... isn’t that good enough?
so why does his heart still pang at the thought?
no no, these are just mindless feelings, barely skin-deep. they’ll go away within seconds if he pays them no attention, just getting his objectives over with and moving onto the next victim. he’s doing this all for survival, and who knows... you’d do the exact same if you too wanted to live. this is a dog-eat-dog world, you either kill someone, or get killed. in fact, because you’re inflicting these unknown emotions on him gives dream more motivation to follow through with these objectives.
he’ll have you until your last breath.
GEORGE.
─ “love me until you die.”
george wants you to be comfortable and scared at the same time, he doesn’t want you to think of him as only a monster like the others. see? there’s still a bit of mercy in him to let you slide at times, shaking it off as a ‘silly little mistake’ of his, but it’s all planned. always has been. he doesn’t like to say this much, but, he pities your situation. the game cannot end until one completes the objectives... and by the looks of it, you’re nowhere as close to the finish line. be free to ask for tips or pointers whenever, he’s generous to share what he thinks will benefit you. it’s up to you whether you trust him or not, there is no offense to be taken, he’d have a hard time believing in your situation.
you can try to talk him out of this for a chance, but a job is a job, someone has to get this done.
and who knows what’ll happen to him if he doesn’t follow through.
your moments together were only meant to be full on bittersweet. you hate that he still tries to be nice against all, as if your life wasn’t placed in his hands to begin with. it would’ve been so much easier to despise george if he’d been vile, heartless, cruel even... but he isn’t. he’s kind, too kind, and you’re starting to think that maybe this was just your unescapable fate. something that transpired during your blurred life was apparently unacceptable for you to live on, it’s starting to finally make sense. no one can elude destiny as much as they pray. of course, when given a chance to slip from death, you’d take it without hesitation... but if all doesn’t go well, then that’s alright too.
everything should be okay if george is here, with you.
will you tell him these sentimental views, especially when you’re lying carelessly on the verge of death? absolutely not. he’d start to feel bad, and that’s the last thing you’d want from him. he’s only doing his job like anyone else, this is somewhat normal despite a few circumstances. you’ll keep reminding yourself anytime despair tries to reach out to you, pulling away from its tantalizing vicinity. don’t go back on this choice, don’t let the sadness take you.
don’t let him regret.
with your head perched comfortably onto his lap, blood spilling at your lips as you try to confess multiple things all at once, then failing miserably. they come out as a garbled mess of sounds unsurprisingly, rather faint to the ears, but there’s enough affection to get through him. you’ll squeeze his hand weakly in hopes of delivering a message, certainly woozy and content nonetheless. he smiles, smiles sadly at the result of his success, but this is what george had desired the whole time.
a chance to spill out his true feelings for you.
SAPNAP.
─ “look at me in the eyes.”
perhaps the most happiest one of the bunch to end someone’s life for the fun of it, quickly that is. he doesn’t want to waste time chasing after you endlessly all over the world, takes too much energy and patience... sapnap prefers to have you right in front of him so he can get right into action. there’s no point in running, everyone knows this. you do too, but such fact could never stop you from trying anyways ─ why not take advantage of that ten percent chance survival rate than do nothing at all? even he somewhat agrees with this new knowledge. there’s no fun in having a compliant little mouse. despite the obvious frustration of tracking you down, he knows it’ll be worth it in the finale when seeing you beg.
always, always looking forward to new targets. everyone is unique: their reactions, their struggles, every part of them. it’s good to have a taste of something refreshing and new. for being the type of person he was, having the same type of people to play with is completely boring, hunting would’ve became a tedious chore at that point. sapnap is ecstatic to hear about you. not much information was disclosed about you, there must be something intriguing then for the lack of story.
he hopes you won’t disappoint him.
sometimes he’ll let his ‘guard down’, sometimes. it’s only to get you motivated again because hopelessness will begin to bore him exceedingly. “don’t give up completely, little [name],” sapnap coos sickeningly, “maybe you’ll have a chance if you actually try for once. should i be nice like george, and give you another head start?” his encouragement, if you could even call it that are down right patronizing, doesn’t try to hide any malicious undertones because he’s confident his words will affect you just the way he wanted.
the fun can’t go on forever. he wants you to suffer for everything you’d put him through. sapnap did not waste three full days trying to corner you, shedding sweat, effort, and time in doing so for you to try and come up with some other excuse for him not to kill you. no, you’re misunderstanding, that’s not what he’s here for. money? no. fame? absolutely not. if it wasn’t any obvious,
he’s here to feed on your fear.
BAD.
─ “forgive me.”
like george, does manhunts because he has to, and it is quite absurd. bad has a huge problem with others having a foul mouth, but happens to not have any qualms raising a blade at someone’s throat. what kind of morals were those? he too questions these actions like any sane person would, however, does not do anything to change his ways because... it’s not in his power. what good would it do to suddenly just switch mindsets all of a sudden, superiors will start to question him and everyone he’d grown to love would suspect. to quit then would be breaking the code, and that’ll be like breaking someone’s trust. bad shouldn’t do it, he’s always reminding himself.
he shouldn’t...
and still, he’s probably the only one who has the hearts to let you go.
for first impressions, bad certainly doesn’t strike you as a hunter. he takes the time to introduce him properly, salutations and a heartfelt apology. you ask, why apologize so suddenly, we just met. he can’t do anything other than sigh, letting the silence answer your question. well, you’re currently the first one on his list, the first to die at that. he’s just here for warnings, letting you gain a huge head start...
calls you muffin as another form of affection. strikes to be strange at first, but you slowly get used to the nickname as you do him, able to enjoy the situation because it’s starting to feel like a nice game of a fusion of hide and seek, and good ol’ tag. he hasn’t been able to physically hurt you once, or at least is trying to make it seem like a mistake ─ missing opportunities, or forgetting to. whatever the case may be, you’re not complaining one bit. in fact, you too haven’t tried to raise a blade at him either.
why would you even?
your kindness is limitless, and it proves when bad cannot fathom hurting you under any circumstances. most of his victims were very aggressive, always cussing at him no matter the context, maybe that’s why guilt hasn’t officially hit him until now. the you who still manages to laugh despite everything, thank you for letting him see the horrors of his actions. “will... i’ll be able to see you again?” you murmur, unsure if you should turn your back on him and leave.
“... maybe some day! for now, you should go. be careful though, some might recognize your face as well.”
he never tells you that his life would be of no more, and he lets you go, the oblivious one, with a bittersweet smile.

So i have some unpopular opinions; i feel like Dutch doesnt sleep around as much as people would like to think. He probably likes the fact that people think that of him, even if its not his style. Also...i dont think Dutch and Molly have any chemistry.
Howdy! (ASK 1 OF 2)
I apologize it took me some time to actually reply to this, especially because it is such a great ask! I definitely agree with both points made here, but I was debating how I wanted to write a response (and how far to take it).
Anyway, I'm open to hearing unpopular opinions! I know I have plenty of my own, so I'm not really one to judge others (as long as there is mutual respect) ☺️
My response is fairly long, and it deals with some sensitive topics. I decided to add a cut to this first ask, just to be safe! 💜💜💜
(Warning: SPOILERS below)
In regard to Dutch sleeping around, there are a few reasons why I don’t think he does it as much as it is often implied/assumed (I’m primarily limiting this to the timeframe of RDR2, Ch. 1-6).
First of all, Molly explicitly says Dutch doesn’t show her a lot of physical attention, even though he is her SO. If he’s not sleeping with her much, I doubt that he is going around with any other women at this time. He seldom leaves camp, outside of doing missions, so it is unlikely that he would meet up with anybody not in the gang. It just doesn’t seem plausible to me, as it would put him in a vulnerable position.
Dutch complains multiple times - including to Molly - that he is under stress and concerned about the Pinkertons closing in on them. Why would he go around outside the camp sleeping with random women? It would put him at the risk of being seen or reported on, and I believe he is smarter than to take on the unnecessary danger. Generally, he doesn’t spend much time in civilized areas, unless he needs to.
Not to mention, stress can be a real inhibitor of sex drive. For the entirety of the game, Dutch exhibits various degrees of anxiety and depression. I believe the gang and his personal safety were of much more concern to him, thus diminishing his interest in sex.
Speaking of the gang, I don’t personally see Dutch as sleeping around with the women in it that much. He did have a relationship with Susan in the past. Whether anything was still going on between them or not is uncertain, but if there was something, it probably was not serious or very frequent. In RDR1, he also suggests that he slept with Abigail, but if this happened, I doubt it would have occurred during the events of RDR2. They hardly ever interacted, and when Abigail did talk about Dutch, it was almost always in a negative manner. Dutch also showed some interest in Mary-Beth. However, I don’t think it went beyond flirting. She didn’t show much interest in him, and I think word would have gotten around if he tried to force anything, especially to Arthur (I am not going to discuss the events of RDR1 in any more detail here because that is a whole different conversation). But other than them, who else in the gang? There were not enough interactions with other women to suggest there was anything between them and Dutch.
Also, sex was considerably more risky in 1899 than it is today, and the means of contraception were not as dependable. For instance, The Pill didn’t go onto the market for another 60 years, and it was more difficult to get ahold of other birth control methods. This was partly because there were not as many technological advancements in this field and because there were a few laws that prevented reliable access to contraceptives (ex: The Comstock Laws). Condoms were arguably one of the easier birth control methods to find, but they still were not as widely available then as they are today (the quality was arguably not as good either). As I understand it, some searching was generally required to get ahold of condoms (usually in more civilized areas, which Dutch tried to avoid).
Dutch is a very contradictory character. My point in bringing up birth control is because although on some level I think Dutch probably would have liked to have actual children, I do not think he was serious enough about it to take any risks that might have led to an unwanted pregnancy during the timeframe of RDR2. As I mentioned, he was under a lot of stress with the gang. A biological child on top of that most likely would have overwhelmed him, and it would have required a long-term commitment to not only the child, but to the mother as well. I believe Dutch was smart enough to recognize this danger, and since birth control methods were not as widely available or reliable, he would not have wanted to sleep around too much (unwanted pregnancies were relatively common during this era).
I’ve written in the past that I believe Dutch had a certain degree of self-consciousness underneath his pride, so I do agree that he probably would have liked people finding him attractive or seductive. These traits emanate a sense of power and confidence, which would have provided a more favorable presentation of himself to others. These perceptions certainly would have helped to conceal his own self-doubts and insecurities, so he would have welcomed them, rather than try to refute them.
Now, in regard to the chemistry between Dutch and Molly, I agree. I think it was a pretty bad relationship all around. I don’t see its flaws as being entirely one-sided.
I will get into this a little more on the next ask, but I will discuss a few things here first.
Starting with Dutch, I will admit that he could have treated Molly a lot better. Even if he wasn’t happy with her or the status of their relationship, he should have seriously talked to her more. She deserved that, at the very minimum. There were a few instances where she tried to get his attention, and he just brushed her off. Again, like I said, even if he wasn’t very keen on the relationship anymore, he should have at least been honest about that. Then, as I already discussed, he had some mildly flirtatious conversations with Mary-Beth. I certainly do not think this helped matters. It was rude the way he insulted Molly for bringing up his interactions with Mary-Beth and how he pretended he had no idea what Molly was talking about.
Onto Molly, I don’t think she was perfect either. I know Dutch didn’t talk with her nearly as much as he should have, but she didn’t seem to show a whole lot of support for him in return. Dutch expressed that he was feeling stressed and not up to much physical activity, to which she got quite upset. She seemed to turn some arguments towards herself and her needs, with little regard for Dutch’s wellbeing. I do think she was selfish for demanding him to give her something he did not want to give/could not provide. Also, she refused to help the gang find leads or assist with chores, even when told to do so by others (ex: Dutch and Arthur). She tended to act above everybody else, claiming she wasn’t a servant to the needs of the gang as a whole. Though I can respect her sense of independence in that regard, it did show a sense of entitlement. Even Dutch donated to the gang funds, and as the leader, he was the one responsible for overseeing the vast majority of missions they engaged in. Molly was the only person who really did not contribute much. (Side note: Even UNCLE - the laziest bastard in the West - helped with leads and contributions!!)
I will get into this more in the following ask, but although I know she loved Dutch to an extent, I think part of her fascination with him was rooted in infatuation. Little is known about her background, but it is canon that she came from a wealthy and influential family in Ireland. I think part of the reason why she liked Dutch so much was because of the powerful position he held. She frequently lashed out at people who she perceived as challenging the reality of her “love” for him, such as Abigail and Karen. In one instance, Molly even went so far as to slap Karen across the face because she thought Karen was talking negatively about her. There was no evidence to prove or disprove Molly’s beliefs, but it did show that she was pretty sensitive about criticism (whether it was perceived or real) in regard to her relationship with Dutch.
Now, Dutch was wrong to use Molly’s fascination with him and his role in the gang to seduce her. But like I said, both of them had their issues. It was just a bad situation from both sides, and I do not think it should have happened in the first place. I don’t necessarily blame one more than the other. To be honest, I think they each deserved someone who fit them better.
And if I am being even MORE honest, I think Dutch should have stayed with Susan. She loved him, and he made a big mistake in ever giving her up. I believe the events of RDR2 would have turned out very differently, had he kept her closer.
(Ending note: Outside of serious posts - like this one - I know I make quite a few jokes about Dutch on my blog in regard to sexuality, but I do not mean for much of what I say in that regard to be taken *too* seriously. I don’t particularly want to discuss my personal life in the text of this post, but I will say that even if Dutch was a person I knew in real life, I’m not sure I would seriously want anything to happen between us. However, that is another matter entirely that has nothing whatsoever to do with him. I absolutely LOVE his character to death, and my blog will remain dedicated to his role in the RDR story for as long as I am around! That is all that should matter!!!)
Also, it is perfectly fine and normal to separate fiction from reality! It is okay to alter interpretations of Dutch (and/or Molly) for the sake of artistic expression, as long as the reasons can be justified. Furthermore, it is fine to disagree with me!!
I just hope this response gave you a thing or two to consider. Thank you again for sending your message in!! 💜💜💜

———— ꧁꧂ ☘︎︎ bnha boys as babies/children with a babysitter!reader
characters ➪ midoryia, todoroki, bakugou, kaminari, kirishima, amajiki, chisaki, and shigaraki
genre ➪ platonic!relationships, fluff
authors note ♡︎ i got this idea from @domhoni on a groupchat so thank u !!
It’s also long but I got too lazy to put the continue reading :(
.☯︎︎.
Izuku Midoryia ☞︎☜︎
- we already kind of know what he was like as a child from the show
- as a child, Izuku was obsessed with all might so expect the boy to go on and on about the hero when you babysit him
- a lot of times you have to comfort the boy as he gets upset about not having a quirk
- if you have a quirk; you like, not show off, but show and explain your quirk in front of him, Izuku is probably amazed and wants to see it more often because if he can’t have a quirk then might as well watch yours
- if you don’t have a quirk; you can relate with the broccoli child. the two of you will talk about how being quirkless and you’ll probably say it’s okay to not have a quirk because you’re still here and happy :)
- he’s a thankful child so bring him gifts, cook him food, or play action figures with him and he’ll be thanking you for the rest of the day
- altogether, 8/10, would babysit
Shouto Todoroki ☀︎︎
- a silent child and most likely very distant
- it’s rare that you actually babysit him cause he’s got a father and siblings and all that Jazz
- he won’t tell you about his eye scar unless he really knows you and trusts you
- speaking of trusting you; once he does, he will y’all about how he hates his father and the grudges he holds against his family
- May mention Dabi, once or twice but that’s it because he prefers not to mention the brother that betrayed the family (in a way)
- like Izuku, he’s thankful. growing up in a richer family than normal, he gets designer shit and stuff but any gift from his babysitter, you, and guess what
- he’s actually quite thankful. Because you’re the only one who understands him. Of course, he’ll accept your gifts, no matter what they are :)
- 6/10, babysit only if you can stand daddy issues
Katsuki Bakugo ♕
- angry bakugo baby; angry bakugo baby 🥺
- a demon inside of a child is what you’re babysitting right here. he communicates with yelling so prepare your ears for his voice
- honestly, this boy would try to use his quirk to start a fire somewhere
- scoldings happen very often when you’re babysitting him, bc angry bakugo baby is a whole package to deal with
- once he warms up, he still yells 24/7 so I guess you really can’t escape
- though, he may cling to you before you leave and he’ll at you for trying to leave him alone with his mother
- 3/10 problematic child but kinda cute 👁
Denki Kaminari ♫
- ecstatic to see you as his babysitter
- he’s a cute child, very happy all the time and very outgoing
- you’ll never get bored with this baby; literally can see sparks fly (platonically) and it’s very cute
- vv touchy, like hugs you and clings to you almost all the time. you’ll be hanging out in his room watching his quirk and all of a sudden his small body will be hugging you
- make him food and he’ll help the best he can, likes to help you with chores and household duties while you babysit
- the two of you become friends, give him platonic love pls
- 9/10, would babysit again
Eijiro Kirishima 𖨆
- he’s nice to you because you’re taking the time out of your day to take care of him
- he would 100% protect you, even as a child he’s a smart boy and would not hesitate with protecting you
- kirishima is also very strong (comes with his quirk) so if you need help lifting something, just ask this little babie
- May grow a liTtLe crush on you if you babysit him often because you’re so gorgeous to the small bean
- would make you food instead of the other way around because he wants to impress you
- 8/10, self explanatory
Tamaki Amajiki ᴥ︎
- very blushie baby
- please give him lots of love because he cannot interact in anyway shape or form
- he most likely is very anti-social and distant for the first few weeks of knowing you but once he sort of warms up then he’ll be less distant
- like he still doesn’t like being touched or interacting too often but atleast you can actually talk to him
- very soft and will love you for eternity (secretly) if you make him tokoyaki
- wants to pursue being a hero just because of you and your praises that you give to him 24/7
- 10/10 please babysit him again
Kai Chisaki ✌︎︎
- like todoroki, he is very distant and quiet at first
- growing up in the yakuza made him very untrustworthy of new people, especially a babysitter
- definitely thinks he doesn’t need one because he can take care of himself but on the inside he’s probably somewhat glad
- if you’ve seen those flashbacks with him getting into a fight because they insulted the Shie Hassaikai, then you can bet that you’re taking care of his ouchies when he gets into fights
- day one bad thing about the Yakuza and he’ll most likely fight you, maybe even take a limb off 😳
- just respect him and take care of this child and you’ll be okay
- 5/10 a respectable yet somewhat problematic one
Tomura Shigaraki ☦︎︎
- plays video games 24/7 and you have to deal with it
- you’ll often hear yelling as he plays games and if you’re lucky enough, you may get to join in; yay?
- besides that, he’s confused on why he needs a babysitter but still won’t try anything bad unless you trigger him to
- he’s kinda nice?? like will threaten you with death threats but also is like “you’re cool,” so not so sure about him
- hates any sort of physical interaction with you but I mean; atleast he still talks to you
- 5/10 only babysit when you’re low on money

I often think about how in ep 26 Light is just silent and alone. I wonder what he was thinking?? I like to think that he mourned for L and regretted killing him but he pushes all of these thoughts deep down. I just want to hear light go "fuck maybe I shouldn't have killed that bastard- WAIT NO WHAT ARE YOU THINKING STOP THIS IS PERFECT EVERYTHING IS PERFECT"
Hmmmm ok so i do have thoughts lmao
This is actually a very cool topic for me because it goes into Light’s emotional complexities which are great and i can talk about for days lmao
And like basically, I agree, but I agree with lots of thought that might not all be coherent and I went into them deep so beware LMAO
So like, even thought Light is very straight forward with his morality and tends to know what he wants in terms of goals and such, I tend to think that Light doesn’t quite grasp the depth of his feelings most of the time. Partially, that has to do with him dismissing feelings as something that’s bellow him, going as far as to say that “that’s how idiot happen”. So a lot of the time, Light either just goes with the first emotion he senses in him and tries to “fix it” so he doesn’t feel anymore or just tries to ignore them all completely.
This instance you’re talking about fits mostly into the first category I think and we see him basically focus all his energy on a single emotion so he doesn’t feel the rest. So, you might not like it, but I actually don’t think Light was mourning L then. Not yet anyway.
The way Light tends to function with feeling isn’t all that smooth, so when L dies and he starts feeling A LOT, Light just grabs onto something he feels enough of to quiet all the rest, but also not so much that he wouldn’t be able to handle and then hyper focusses on fixing that one emotion he’s now feeling. Which is why I don’t think Light was grieving yet, I doubt he would have allowed himself to even acknowledge that he was feeling any type of grieve or sorrow over L being death right away. I mean, that’s a boy who has to be hit over the head repeatedly with his feelings before he relents and faces them. So in this first moment he has to choose something else to focus on and there’s an emotion that I think he would accept and that is close enough to actual grief that he’d be able to channel all his sorrow into it and try to deal, and that’s LOSS.
So now you’re probably like uhh Lu, isn’t loss pretty much just grief tho??
To which I answer kinda, but also no, making it PERFECT for Light at that moment. He absolutely feels the loss of having killed L (he’ll eventually even grow to regret it, but not yet). But loss isn’t necessarily in the realm of grief and here is where Light pretty much just manipulates himself into feeling AT A LOSS rather then feeling WHAT he lost. And that is a feeing he can totally handle. Up til then he’d directed all his energy towards L, towards their game, towards beating him. So now that that’s done he has no idea what to do next. He is lost as in, without direction in those first moments after L dies, so we have Light wandering around without purpose or motivation because he has no idea what to do next now that L’s gone. In truth I don’t even think Light thought he’d get that far, he probably didn’t think he’d get to kill L (which is another topic that i also have loads to talk about but i’ll refrain or this reply won’t ever end jsjwjajsjsk).
In a way, he mirrors L’s own behavior after he had to accept that Light wasn’t Kira (even thought like, he is) and has to let him out of detainment.
Obviously there’s going to be some lawlight here because, well, I can’t help it lmao. But I think it’s VERY telling and of huge narrative significance how completely aimless they both get when they’re disappointed in each other. It just shows how completely they depend on one another to drive them, to give them purpose.
L gets depressed (as he puts it) when he thinks Light isn’t Kira and therefore isn’t the worthy opponent, the equal, he had thought he was. Similarly, Light gets utterly lost when L dies because he feels like L disappointed him, he was supposed to keep challenging him, but now he’s gone. They both loose all motivation when they feel like the other won’t be able to challenge them anymore and while Light eventually gets L back in the game during the Yotsuba arc, L is now dead and can’t bring back Light’s motivation. So Light desperately looks for something else to motivate him and goes into that whole “perfect world” spiral moment.
At the same time, I think when L died Light just felt A LOT in a way he couldn’t deal with. Not only are there MANY emotions, but they are highly conflicting ones. That is actually very well represented in L’s death scene, as Light jumps to catch him and cradles his body as he dies, but also shifts into that creepy grin as the feeling of victory takes over.
Since Light doesn’t know how to deal with ALL THAT he basically distracts himself with finding new purpose and with building his new world and shelfs his feelings so he can deal with them when he’s ready (and uh he never will be)
I also think that from a more subconscious perspective Light gets that desperate to start seeing his new world and rushes to make it happen because that’s how he deals with the fact the HE killed L. It’s his end that justify the means and he need it badly. The perfect world has to happen because there needs to be a reason, killing L needs to have been worth it (and eventually part of the reason he spirals is because he realises it just wasn’t worth it, from a more ship centric perspective). He sacrificed his only true friend, his equal (his soulmate jskwka) to achieve this goal so it NEEDS to be worth it and to be perfect.
So like that’s how i interpret Light’s actions right after L dies. I think in time the bottled up emotions definitely start to spill over and he starts facing what he did but that takes quite some time. I truly think Light would try to avoid feeling for as long as he possibly could and that he just pours himself into building the new world work at first. But the more he works on it, the more he realizes that he wanted L to see it too, wanted the only person who understood him to also understand WHY he was doing all he did. And the more he realizes he can’t have that, that L will never see it, that he’ll never know and that he’s actually GONE, the more Light himself starts to slip and take risks until he eventually loses. Because the truth is that Light refuses to grief L so bad that he becomes haunted by his memory and weighted by guilt.
So no, I don’t think that Light was mourning and regretting in episode 26, but he absolutely SHOULD have been. To me, personally, the fact that he refuses to and suppresses his feelings is what eventually puts him in the state of mind that makes him lose, because his attempts at winning become desperate. It stops being that he wants to win and it starts being about how he has to, how he feels that if he fails, then he killed L for nothing, which he absolutely cannot face. I think he only truly starts to mourn L and to regret killing him once he starts getting bored and lonely, when he notices that building his new world without L to oppose him feels more like a chore then the excitement he had with L and in the end he truly regrets because he understands that without L it just isn’t worth it. So like, in a way, his refusal to mourn L is what makes him unhinged enough to make mistakes and lose.
Oooff that was a lot kajwkajwja
But like you made me THINK so there it is
I also wanted to say that I love the way this fandom does asks, i mean these comments that get us rambling and analyzing things in length are very much awesome, so thanks!!!

Airplane Crossing Over Plots~
Like it says on the tin, these were ideas I had for crossovers involving our fav writer~ (EDIT: Thank you @guiltycorp for inspiring this a bit XD)
Now, I’ve mentioned before, with Airplane choosing the go home option, he ends up still with a golden core in all this mess but he needs to cultivate his body really carefully because of it. (come on, he put in all the time and effort to be an immortal master, he should be able to still have his bad ass skills; not to mention with it being a soul thing, because a golden core is just as spiritual as it is physical, so he will definitely still have it.)
So, sealing his core and having his Nascent Soul outside his body to relieve some of the pressure on it, (having it look like a little chibi SQH that usually hangs out in hoodie pockets or hiding in Airplane’s hair with an aura of disguise around it), Airplane has to go and actually work out, which isn’t too much of a hardship for him at least, seeing as he’s had years to get into a routine and survival instincts kicking in to help him out there.
And, he may have actually started taking school seriously again, actually applying himself, maybe even getting an online accounting job to help supply his income. When he’s steady with that, he finishes PIDW the way he had been leading up to, the ending that makes the most sense and satisfices the writer the most (and if it gives him some closure, he isn’t saying anything about that.) Now that he is finally free from PIDW, and has college and work to worry about, he writes whenever he damn well pleases, and whatever he wants to fuck what anyone says.
(He might or might not write some absolutely filthy porn whenever the mood hits him, and cackles how his fans both greedily read it and cry because his newer works are so tragic, even if they have happy endings at times. Yes, Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky is a porn writer, but first and foremost is he an angst writer more~ His fan’s tears and cries just make him stronger kind of writer~)
(I just honestly want Airplane to write what he wants to now, that is one of the biggest motives behind all this honestly)
So, we have the set up :D let’s get to what we can cross over here~
First Up: ~Cutivation Group Chat~
Come on, how can one resist this? Plopping good old Airplane into this wild ride is one of the few things that makes me so happy in life. The thought of it makes me grin, especially since it can go two ways in my opinion~
First way: Airplane replaces Song Shuhang; like, just seeing Airplane, who was an Immortal Master and Teacher in those situations would be so funny, yet intriguing as well to see how he handles it, because you know he’ll be able to, just in ways no one ever expects. (Besides, that werid luck of Shuhang’s would be perfect for him, tho he won’t seek death like the other would~ :D Airplane still has a lovely sense of self-preservation~)
Second way: Airplane is one of Song Shuhang’s roommates. (for this, I’m going to say their Dorm was big enough for five peeps, because I want Airplane to have more friends damn-it.) Just... the imagery of the two neutral disasters getting into so much mayhem and hijinxs together, giving Song Shuhang not only a friend/brother in arms he can always depend and rely on, but also a steady source for learning and cultivation as well :D
(Also, Airplane and Gou Moumou being writer friends, the two of them able to bounce ideas on to each other (oh god, now you have inspired me, how dare you make me write this./hahahaha, you know you want too/ bitch turnabout is fair play/ ah fuck.) also: just the image of Airplane meeting Senior White and being completely unaffected because not only is his survival instincts going in overdrive, but also:
Airplane: ? He’s not my type.
Everyone: *jaws dropped*
:D Anyways~
Second Idea: Card Room (Rebirth)
Now First, for those who don’t know Card Room (Rebirth), this is an action/survival/mystery thriller BL Unlimited Flow type of novel; it follows one Xiao Lou, a medical professor who specializes with examining the dead, and his journeys through multiple rooms after having died in reality, the difficulty of each of these rooms measured with Playing Cards from 2 to K and with different types of rooms being sorted by their suits of Hearts (Mystery), Diamonds (Puzzle), Spade (Survival), Club (Luck/Money). The Goal of the story is to beat all the rooms and return back to the world of the living once more. To aid in this, people can get special cards to help them fight/ take care of their health/ or even just daily life essentials to be able to actually get through places.
So... this means after getting all used to living once more and getting into his grove in the modern world... Airplane unfortunately kicks the bucket, yet again! Thing is, this time it happened after he played a card game with some of his roommates, I’m going to say poker, and they were betting who would do what chores. Aiplane managed to make out pretty well, and was pleased with it, so was very much bummed when he ended up dying yet again. He goes through the room, some by the skin of his teeth, but with his cultivation abilities still usable (can’t stop something on a soul level here) he gets by okay. Though, all his cards either deal with writing, supplies, and the rare cultivation one at times.
He gets by at least.
Now, because this series gives me some emotions, here is one thing I will say: Airplane and Liu Ying end up partnering up and break through together, because damn it, Liu Qiao and her sis deserve some damn happiness ;-; Maybe Airplane and Liu Ying meet by chance, Airplane impressed by the young woman’s intelligence and Liu Ying can in turn be grateful for Airplane’s resourcefulness. Maybe even include the original girl that Liu Ying teamed up with, So we have three people already in your team to survive! (because surviving the rooms 2-4 is already damn amazing considering how hellish they get :D )
This is a fun crossover for me to imagine honestly, because it would be perfect to showcase Airplane’s skills in logic, reasoning, and pure survival our boy is known for; let that resourceful and logistic riddled mind out to play as he fights to get the fuck out of this world, even if The City of the Moon is beautiful and all.
:D So, those were the ideas I would like to really see, but here is some more for anyone curious:
Honorable Mentions: These are ones I would love to see Airplane accidently going into, and just going yikes, or nope! or even ‘Really?’
Lord of End of World:
... This story, it concerns me greatly; I like the worldbuilding, even has a few really cool girls in it, and I find the protagonist rather curious (to an extent, blackened Gary Stu that he is...) but does it make me cringe at times with the underage theme to it; it’s part of their cultivation and all, but god damn does the way this story push some of it really sqink me out, I had to drop it because it made me so uncomfortable, so just a heads up there. this is one of those stories that makes me want to write spite fiction, but also make me cringe at the thought of remembering it at times.
Anyways, so, how it boils down to it is that this poor guy, known as the Young Master of the Unground Palace, was abused in all the ways one can practically be abused, just so their Master can get stronger themselves by forming the perfect cauldron to absorb, but who manages to kill their master only to die as well. He ends up transmigrating into Gong Lixin, a 16 year old wealthy young master about a year (I believe) before the apocalypse happens... (Like I said, I have so many damn issues with this damn story, I cry.)
Just, on one hand, imagining Airplane in this world also makes me laugh (and maybe hope), because maybe here Gong Lixin could actually learn a cultivation style thats not only suited to him, but also doesn’t need him to dual cultivate all the time and rely on cauldrons (maybe get some needed therapy as well, Airplane knows some peeps; I can dream~), he can have a stable, reliable teacher here who will have no lust or attraction to him, Airplane helping the kid out at first because they look like they’re recovered from a really bad Qi-Devitation and the teacher in him can’t leave that alone. Airplane can also relate with the youth about transmigrating, maybe even telling him about his own time with that. (And Airplane can use his own cultivation to smack around any bitch looking sideways at his student, because fuck that shit, he is only seventeen and traumatized.) Just, turning this story into a cute mentor and discipleship and emotional healing would make me so happy.
Monster Inn Rectification Report
So, this is another Transmigration story~ MC transmigrates as a poor canon fodder son, who would have ended up in a vegetable state after being neglected in favor of the super amazing awesome adopted son. He then goes on to accidently inheriting a supernatural end for Monsters~
Like, this idea makes me grin evilly; though things will change up a bit, since both of Airplane’s parents have already split up and have their own families? Just, the Former An Ding Peak Lord running an Inn? :D Building it from ground up from bascially nothing? :D Oh, man, this man has run worse things, and even a Demon Kingdom, he got you~
Supernatural Movie Actor App
Its a BL about a guy with a split personality who does realistic (as in for real) horror movies through an app, to get his wish to come true.
This actually goes really good with my idea of Airplane wanting to be an actor and all, only to have his dreams crushed :D He doesn’t at first realize what he is getting into when he gets the app, thinking it might be a chance for him to still be able to do his dream, only, surprise, surprise, he ends up entering a real life Horror movie environment~ I’m really curious about what he would dream about~
I Have Medicine
:D Airplane and Gu Zuo interactions make me smile~ these two would be so fun, seeing them bounce off each other would be a treat.
So What if You’re Reborn
.... hahahahahaha, oh, the chaos that could be unleashed in this timeline would be glorious~
Running Away From the Hero

do you like him?
Pairing: mark lee x reader
Summary: “So do you like Mark?”
“Let’s see. What do I have to get done today?”
You mumbled to yourself as you made a list of all the chores you had to get done before the weekly movie night later tonight. The ‘99 line made a unanimous decision to hold it at your house every Friday, even though you hadn’t suggested such an idea. Though, you didn’t mind since you always ended up having a good time with them anyways.
They were currently sprawled all over your living room, taking advantage of your brother’s gaming console while your family was out doing their own thing. You barely spared a glance their way as you were too busy to deal with their shenanigans.
“Do the laundry, make the snacks, order the pizza, clean up the movie room to set up the blankets and pillows, and I think that should be it.” You nodded and got up to gather the dirty laundry. You passed the boys on your way, letting them where you were if they needed anything. They grunted in response, too focused on the tv screen.
“Y/N!” You heard someone loudly yell your name, interrupting your thoughts. You let out a sigh and turned to the door. Yukhei poked his head into the basement with a big smile on his face. You didn’t like it when he had that particular smile.
“Yes, Yukhei?”
His smile widened from being acknowledged. He happily walked in and leaned against the dryer with his arms crossed. You quirked an eyebrow.
“I have a question.”
“And I don’t know if I have an answer.”
Usually, whenever he had a question, it was so far fetched, you had no idea how to respond to appease his curiosity. Then again, his rapid-fire of questions always happened when you want to sleep after a long day, but Yukhei just has to absolutely know why it’s not possible for the moon to be made out of cheese.
Yukhei blinked at you, making you sigh.
“Fine. Ask your question,” You said as his smile returned to his face. He looked both left and right as if scoping out the possibility that someone was listening in. You rolled your eyes and began putting clothes into the washer.
“Do you like Mark?”
Your eyes widened and you froze in your spot, then slowly turned to him. He acted as if his question didn’t carry so much and that it was just another one of his silly questions. You gulped. What kind of question was this?
You nervously laughed, lightly punching him in the arm. “Yukhei. What are you talking about-”
“Well, I was just wondering since you tend to stare at him a lot when you think he’s not looking. Then, you brighten up like a lightbulb when he comes into the room. You practically drool when you see him in concert attire and even casual attire. I sometimes think your face is going to get permanently stuck in a smile from how much you laugh with him. You’ve also got this goofy look on your face when he gives you a hug and then-”
“Okay, I get it already.” You place your hand over his mouth to stop him from exposing any more of your secrets. You were beet red in the face and pretty sure there was steam coming from it because of how embarrassed you were.
“So is it true?” Yukhei asked after you dropped your hand. You groaned, facepalming. You thought you hid it well, but apparently not.
“Why must you know so badly?” You finally looked at him in the eye. He smiled and shrugged.
“Oh, because Guanheng and Dejun don’t believe me.”
“You three have talked about this-”
“GUANHENG. DEJUN.”
“Shut up, Yukhei! What are you doing?” You exclaimed, trying to shut him up. You didn’t want Mark coming down to see what you were all up to. He was the last person you wanted to explain this to.
Not soon after, two heads poked into the basement.
“You called?” Guanheng smiled as they walked in and Dejun closed the door behind them. You really wanted to die.
“Mark’s going to get suspicious if we’re all down here without him.”
“Don’t worry about that. He’s too busy playing with Donghyuk right now,” Dejun assured you, but you didn’t feel any better.
You shot a death glare towards Yukhei to which he only smiled innocently. You ran a hand through your hair out of stress. The three boys got closer.
“So is it true? That you like Mark?” Guanheng whispered, cupping his hand to make it more secret.
“I won’t believe it until Y/N says so,” Dejun said to Yukhei.
“I’m telling you they’re totally in love, man.”
Which caused an argument between the three of them. You only wanted to do laundry, but now you were being bombarded with questions and their shenanigans.
“Well, it is questionable when Y/N looks at Mark as if he’s the cutest thing in the entire universe and goes on about for hours.”
“And Y/N does laugh a little louder when the joke isn’t that funny, but it makes Mark super happy.”
“And isn’t it always Y/N who is the first person to comfort Mark when he’s feeling insecure or doesn’t feel good?”
“Y/N also has a tendency to space off with this loopy smile whenever Mark is mentioned.”
“Even when it comes to special events, Y/N does the utmost for Mark, but only for him.” Guanheng and Dejun went back and forth, listing all the embarrassing things you do around the boy.
“See, doesn’t all of that mean Y/N likes Mark? Dare I say, even love him?” Yukhei gasped and the two of them nodded along.
“It does make sense.”
“Yes, after all, those are the things you do when you like someone.”
“So there’s no denying it, Y/N. You love him.”
“Ooo, you love him!”
You were trembling with embarrassment. Your face was the reddest the boys have ever seen. All of your feelings had just been brought to light. What more could you argue when the facts were all there? They were so obvious.
“All right! So, maybe I do like him!” You exclaimed, making big smiles appear on their faces. They instantly erupt into chaos, yelling about how it was all coming together, that they were going to be groomsmen in due time. “Shut up! He’s definitely going to hear now!”
“You love him, Y/N! You really love him!” Guanheng teased.
“I can’t wait for the wedding!” Dejun beamed.
“I want to be the godfather, I called it!” Yukhei interjected, pointed to himself and eyeing the other two.
Was it really a good idea to have told these boys your biggest secret?
“Just, wait. I don’t plan on telling him anytime soon, so I need the three of you to keep your mouths shut, okay?”
“But why?” They whined like children who couldn’t get what they wanted. You sighed.
“I don’t want to ruin what we have right now. Maybe, there will be a day where I tell him, but for now, I like how we are.”
They pouted.
“But-”
“No buts.”
“Fine.”
“But we’re happy though, Y/N. You were able to tell us something as big as that.”
“Did I really have a choice?” You chuckled and they shrugged.
“Now, boys. It’s up to us now to get these two kids together. We have to be discrete, but also forward in our advances.”
“Right.”
“So what we need to do is get them to be together all the time. We need to tell the other members, so we can all get this to work.”
“Oh, no, you don’t! You’re not getting the others involved!”
“But why not? We want little Y/N/Mark babies running around soon!”
“Yeah, how else are we going to have that when nothing happens?”
“You three better run. Now.”
Chaos ensued as Yukhei, Guanheng and Dejun run around the basement in pursuit of finding a place to hide from your wrath. They really were going to get it now that they have teased you that much.
“So you two gonna get freaky later?”
“YUKHEI.”
“WE’RE SO DEAD.”
“YUKHEI, WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT?”
“IT WAS A GENUINE QUESTION THOUGH.”
Little did you all know, there was a certain someone listening in behind the wall.
“Woah. I don’t think I was meant to hear all that,” Mark mumbled, red as a cherry with his hand over his mouth. Though, he couldn’t help but feel giddy that you felt the same way.
“What do I do now?”

Matthew Taylor Relationship Headcanons
You meet him at one of the college football games. You’re sitting in the stands, spectating, and he’s on the sidelines, waiting to be swapped in. It’s when he looks up into the crowd, he spots you. He doesn’t know why, but you drew his attention immediately. But after you gift him with a shy smile and hesitant wave, Matt knows he wants to meet you.
So after the game, he finds you at the gates. Que the awkwardness as you and Matt attempt small talk and try to avoid eye contact. After a few minutes of stumbling over each other, Matt finally manages to ask you out.
Matt is a gentleman, through and through. He opens the door for you, pulls out your chair, thanks you for every little thing you do; he loves you with all his heart and wants to show you how much he cherishes you.
He loves it when you wear anything related to the sports teams he plays for. You’re his #1 Fan!
Out of all the Until Dawn guys, Matt is the cleanest. He hates mess, disorganization, and he’s never understood the concept of “organized chaos.” He also likes to split up chores, like you cook and he does the dishes or you clean the toilet and bathtub and he cleans the sink, mirror, and sweeps and mops the bathroom floor. One, it lessens the burden of cleaning an entire room yourself, and two, it makes you and Matt feel like equals. It’s nice to know that you’ll never have to worry about cleaning up after this man.
Study dates are very common. Though he doesn’t like to admit it, Matt isn’t the smartest person and struggles in most of his classes, and knows that he needs decent grades in order to play sports. Scenery varies, depending on both your moods; sometimes you huddle up in the corner of a coffee shop, or a secluded table in the library, or maybe just in your dorm, dressed in your comfiest of clothes. Matt is always appreciative of your help, always making sure to thank you afterwards.
Matt can’t help but compare you to Emily, who he broke up with after the events at Blackwood. While Emily could be outwardly mean and condescending to him, a revelation Matt didn’t have until after he started dating you, you were always patient and kind to him, always so happy to see him and never cruel. You didn’t put him down for his poor grades, something that Emily always jabbed at, but instead you always helped him. And he didn’t hate any shopping trips you went on because you always involved him, asking his opinion on clothes and whatnot and sometimes finding things for him to try on and never mocking his choices. Anytime he was left to his thoughts and started comparing you and Emily, he would always smile knowing that he was in a much better, healthier relationship.
If you wear his signature Letterman jacket, this boy will die of cuteness overload. He can’t handle seeing you in his jacket.
Communication is something that Matt has to work on. He’s a pushover and all his past girlfriends used this to their advantage; he would much rather let his partner have their way than have to deal with confrontation. Not you, though. It’s awkward and uncomfortable, but you always have to sit Matt down and talk out whatever problem you two have. After a couple successful conversations, Matt isn’t so opposed to the idea of bringing up any issues he has about the relationship, knowing that you’d rather find a solution than talk over him.
Matthew absolutely loves massages. He works out a lot so he tends to get sore, especially if he pushes himself. Lay this boy down on the bed and rub all the knots out of his back and he’ll be putty in your hands. And...it might just lead to something a little more intimate.
If you start showing interest in his hobbies, Matt will be absolutely elated. Go to the gym with him and let him show you how to work out properly so that you don’t hurt yourself. Attend all his sports events so you can cheer him on. Shoot hoops with him down at the rec center on campus or go to the batting cage at the baseball diamond. Emily was always dismissive of his interests, so he’ll be so happy if you ask him questions about anything he’s interested in. And don’t worry, this is not a one-sided thing. Matt will support you in whatever you’re interested in as well. If you like to paint, he’ll take a painting class with you. If you like to write, he’ll ask so many questions about your stories. If you participate in a sport that he doesn’t, you bet that he’ll be out there on the field trying to learn the basics. Matt just loves spending time with you.
Matt is actually a decent cook. He’s a pro at meal prepping and reserves Sundays for cooking. As mentioned in a previous bullet point, Matt doesn’t like mess and is very organized, and this reflects in his meal prepping. The fridge is stocked full of healthy foods, with all the fruits and veggies cut up, all the meats seasoned well and cooked perfectly, and any condiments you need poured into little individual dipping containers. He has all your breakfasts and lunches neatly packed so you can grab them on the go. All your co-workers are in awe at how colorful and delicious your lunches are and you can’t help but brag that your boyfriend made them for you. It fills you with such pride when they all tell you Matt is a keeper.
Somewhere down the line, you and Matt bump into Emily, who Matt hasn’t talked to since Blackwood. At this point, you and Matt have been happily dating for almost a year, but yet, Matt hasn’t mentioned Blackwood to you, in hopes that he can just forget it and move on with his life. You both run into Emily at the grocery store and Matt knows that Emily is going to say something awful to you just by the way the woman looks you up and down in disgust.
“Jesus, Matt, you really downgraded, didn’t you?”
You’re honestly shocked and are speechless and Matt steps in between you too, holding up a hand to Emily.
“Please, Em, don’t start anything.”
“What? Scared that they’re going to find out what a douche you really are? Are you going to leave them for dead too?”
You’re tugging on Matt’s sleeve. “Matt, what is she talking about?”
Emily smirks. “Wow, Matthew, keeping secrets? Figured you would be too cowardly to tell them all the shit you pulled back at Blackwood.”
Before Emily can continue, Matt pulls you away, ignoring Emily as she continues to taunt him. Both of you wander to one of the registers, bringing your shopping trip to an abrupt end. At this point, Matt doesn’t even care if you haven’t gotten everything on your list; he just wants to go home. Once you both get home, Matt doesn’t say anything, and just goes to the bedroom, shutting himself inside. You know not to push, knowing that Matt would just shut you out even more. You go about fixing dinner, constantly looking over your shoulder at the door of your shared bedroom, worried.
“Matthew, dinner is ready!”
No response.
You eat dinner alone, forcing yourself to eat, but eventually giving up since you don’t really have an appetite. You try to distract yourself by cleaning the dishes from dinner, on homework, on anything, but you find yourself pacing outside the bedroom door, internally debating on whether you should go in and confront Matt or let him come to you instead when he was ready.
You decide on the former. Testing the doorknob and seeing that he never locked it, you push the door open, met with darkness. You feel your way towards the lamp that sits on your nightstand and flick it on, light flooding the room, and illuminating your boyfriend, who was curled up on the floor with his knees pulled to his chest and face buried in his arms. Kneeling beside him, you contemplated on how to start this conversation, before gently reaching out and touching his arm.
“Matthew, please, talk to me.”
“You’ll hate me if I do,” he said, voice muffled.
“No, I won’t. Just please, speak to me. I don’t like it when you shut yourself out to me like this.”
Matt was quiet for a moment before lifting his head from his arms. That’s when he tells you everything: the prank he and his old friends played on Hannah, resulting in both her’s and Beth’s deaths; going back to Blackwood with Emily as his girlfriend and seeing her and Mike hugging through the telescope, causing him to be salty toward her for the rest of the night; rushing to the fire tower after Chris and Ashley told them about Josh getting killed by some psycho wandering around the mountain; the fire tower falling through the mines, trying his best to save Emily from falling, but only causing the tower to shift, resulting in her fall anyway; being grabbed by the Wendigo and only managing to escape because Emily had given him a flare gun she found at the tower; leading Jessica out of the mines and escaping with their lives. He poured his heart out, expressing his guilt in not trying hard enough to save Emily, remembering how scared he was that he had possibly caused her death.
“I’m sorry I didn’t tell all of this to you sooner. I just...didn’t want you to think I was crazy or something and...I didn’t want you to think I was a horrible person. A failure because I couldn’t save Emily when that tower was falling.”
You’re quiet and the silence kills him, twisting his insides into a painful knot. He knew this was going to happen. He knew you would break up with him for being a failure, a horrible person, a-
“Matthew, there is no way in hell that I would ever think of you as a terrible person.”
Matt stares at you, stunned. “W-What?”
“You’re a good person, Matt. While I’m a little disappointed that you went along with that prank, you didn’t know what would happen to those two girls. If you had known, I know you wouldn’t have gone through with it. As for Emily, I know you tried your damnedest to save her. I didn’t believe her for a second when she said all that about you. Because I know you, Matthew, and I know you’ve got a big heart.”
Matt just looks at you, tears welling up in the corner of his eyes. That’s when he grabs you, pulling you close, burying his face in your chest, letting the tears fall. You hold him close, running your fingers through his hair, rubbing soothing circles into his back.
“Thank you.” He tightens his hold on you. “I love you so fucking much.”
“I love you too, Matthew.”

So... an imaginary episode of the 1983 D&D cartoon...
It’s a Meta episode.
The kids wake up to their average normal everyday lives. Nothing weird or anything. Have breakfast, do a few chores, say good morning to their parents, head out to school, etc. Normal shit.
While at school they kinda bump into each other a lot though and they get a weird vibe off of the others. But... why? I mean, they know of these other kids, some are friends-ish with others but they’re not particularly close? Bobby is Sheila’s kid brother, Diana is that girl who does gymnastics after school, Presto’s that dork who gets picked on for his crappy card tricks, Hank does sports or something, Eric is the haughty son of that CEO they keep seeing on magazines at the grocery store. They’re not really super close friends, they have nothing in common really but... they get a feeling from each other?
On top of that they occasionally get a strange flash memory in their heads.
-Diana is about to do a cool gymnastic demonstration for a new team member at the request of the teacher. Halfway through she bungles it when a memory of being surrounded by monsters flashes in her head. Her coach approaches to see if she’s okay and on instinct kicks the teacher’s feet out from underneath them, easily taking them to the floor without hesitation before realizing what she had done.
-A card trick goes array in the lunchroom causing a bully to be wearing his lunch and turn his sights on Presto. The bullies cap fall onto Prestos head prior and he finds himself impulsively start a rhyme about taking out the ugly fucker, reaching into that hat and pulling out-- nothing? What did he think that was actually going to do? I’m mean... he did insult the bully more so I guess it’s gonna get him punched?
-Eric happens to have lunch period with Presto and sees the whole thing go down as he is walking by to his usual table of more affluent “Friends”. Heh... kid’s gonna get beaten up. That’s what happens when you insult your bullies mom or whatever. Not Erics problem. He doesn’t even know this kid. Does seem Familiar though. The bully swings his fist back to hit that kid with glasses and Eric feels utter terror, like life or death fight or flight terror and before he even realizes he’s moved he finds himself between Presto and the bully, lunch tray blocking the fist and bully now wearing more lunch than before. Crap... what the fuck did he just do?!?! And why?!
(Not gonna come up with one for everyone I’m tired you guys decide what happens to Hank, Sheila and Bobby)
-----------------------------------------------------
At this point the audience knows somethings wrong so why hide it from THEM anymore? It turns out through an untold adventure before the episode began some bullshit happened and the kids find themselves trapped in some kind of magic sleep caused by this dream master monster wizard or something I don’t care what he is. I’m vague on this part but He’s either
-gonna sell the kids to Venger so it’s like that time Dungeon Master got captured and took a nap and that very homosexual fairy showed up and helped the kids save him.
-OR He’s already working for Venger and they’re picking the kids brain for something while in the magic dream sleep. Like their Untold quest prior to the ep. involves them hiding their weapons so venger can’t get them and the Dream wizard guy is keeping their brains loosey goosey and complacent while he searches through them for the weapons locations or something like that.
-OR He’s working for Venger and the kids are hostages to convince DM to turn himself over and he’s having his own B plot of the good of the realm vs the good of these kids?
“Ehhhhhh....... Nah! I’m sure they got this... Not the first set of kids I ruined.”
-OR He’s gonna rewrite their brains and turn them evil so they work for Venger and he can sick them on DM AND Tiamat! “If you can’t beat them, take over their brains and recruit them!“ (I like this one but that’s just cuz I like Mind control trope....)
-OR any combination of the above. It really doesn’t matter you know he’s gonna fuck up.
Anyway Mr.Dream over here is having a little trouble because DMs disciples COULD realize they’re dreaming and shock them selves awake and fuck up the Evil Plan (tm) And unfortunately the kids having flashbacks, vibes, and triggers is not on the menu, so he needs to come up with an in-universe explanation for the kids in the dream to be having these funky feels so they don’t question the funkitude going on...
---------------------------------------------------
Back in dream-school DMs Disciples are a little gonked up over the whole ptsd trigger flashbacks they’re having, some of which involve kids that they have almost no connection to! But before they can ponder further they notice the time, or their watch or alarm or someone mentioning the time alerts them. They have a THING to get to! They pack up their stuff and we follow a POV character (Probably Hank) as he makes his way to a specific classroom, or he leaves the school and heads home or to another house. Matters not. As he arrives he opens up the door and there everybody is!
Oh yeah! That’s how they all know each other! They play a fantasy tabletop rpg board game together! [Good idea Mr.Dream! Now they can explain away Their vibes!] Diana even considers maybe she should quit playing with them if it’s so immersive that it’s effecting her normal everyday life. But it atleast explains where they got these random memories from! It’s just their campaign! They sit down and shoot the shit and start playing.
“What sort of adventure are we doing this time?”
*They begin to play out one of the episodes... Let’s do the Prison without Walls one for example... but things aren’t... right*
*Rolls dice* Presto DMing: “17! Hank lets his arrow fly, piercing through the chest of the shambling monster! It trumpets in pain before laying in silence! The band of adventurers has defeated the monster and the gnome village has been Saved!”
Hank has a flash back... this... isn’t right...
Hank: “No... no I didn’t fire my arrow! That Monster was Lukyan!” Hank explains.
Presto protests. “But Hank... there was no Lukyan in this campaign???”
Eric: “He’s probably just salty over the last time we played when he opened that box and let all the evil out-- wait...” Bobby: “Didn’t YOU open that box Eric?”
Eric: “... The evil box or Zinn’s box?”
Presto: “It was Zandora’s box. Where’d Zinn come from?”
Diana: “Zinn was that Queen Eric Married when that Sorlarz monster poisoned Bobby and we slayed him for the antidote!”
Sheila: “SORLARZ?! No Bobby was Poisoned buy the turtle dragon! Sorlarz was a cursed king!”
Eric: “A WHAT?!”
Their bickering becomes too much for Hank and enough reminders of everything wrong with their adventures triggers his memory and slams his firsts on the table silencing everyone else.
Hank: “ENOUGH!!!!” They stare at him in shock and silence. Hank was never angry like this... not that they knew him well enough... “We-- Guys we... never made it home... We’re still in the realm!”
This triggers the kids memories and they realize just how wrong everything is and that all of these vibes they’ve been having are their REAL memories.
They are commended by Mr.Dream who fucked up because he’s very bad at keeping the continuity of his own story down but chastised because it would have been so much easier for them if they just stayed unaware and complacent. Now the dream world is turning against them and they need to figure out a way to wake up. But where better to hide the end of the dream than at the beginign of the adventure: At the Amusement park.

FEFemslash Feb - Day 15 - Warmth/Bloom
Game: Fire Emblem Three Houses
Pairing: Marianne/Hilda
Title: sweet on you
Rating/Length: G, ~2.5k words
AO3 Link: Here
Hilda finds out that Marianne's never received any chocolates on Valentine's Day, and can't help but decide that's her problem to fix. Except, turns out making chocolate is harder than Hilda anticipated...
It was almost the 14th of Pegasus Moon. Hilda, as a whole, really, really liked Pegasus Moon. It had her birthday in it, the weather was chilly and perfect for cozy afternoon naps, and there was usually snow! Snow, which meant that not much at all could be done for fear of slipping or freezing to death. And snow wasn’t a half-bad view from her balcony, either. There was lots to love.
However, there was one major problem. Valentine’s Day. A day of confessions and gift-giving, which meant that Hilda was hounded by the hordes of guys who thought she’d care about them. It took a lot of effort to turn down all those confessions. And all the candy she got during them was usually cheap, bought from the same couple of merchants who peddled the stuff specifically at this time of year.
Not to mention she was expected to give people chocolates to be polite. She hadn’t bothered to do anything last year, and Claude had yet to let it go. Him and the rest of the Golden Deer were getting nothing this year, too. That’d show him!
“He was just looking for something to complain about,” complained Hilda to her stalwart companion in shoveling manure, Marianne.
“It does sound pretty bothersome,” Marianne, ever the sweetheart, knew better than to disagree. Although…
“What do you think about Valentine’s Day?”
Marianne blinked slowly. “Ah, I’ve never really celebrated it… It’s probably better that way…” She had half a smile at that, a sad smile that wasn’t fooling anybody. Hilda knew Marianne had a sweet tooth. Hilda knew Marianne was cute. Why wasn’t she getting any confessions? It was unthinkable.
“Hm.” Was all she said, and then she got back on track. “Anyways, have you seen all the homework the Professor assigned us this week? Where’s their respect for the holiday season?”
....
Later that night, Hilda found herself awake, staring up at her ceiling listlessly. She tossed. She turned. She chugged the glass of water she kept beside her bed. In the end, she groaned and dramatically flung open her door.
There was a problem nagging at her. Marianne and her lack of Valentine's candy. There was only one solution. Hilda would have to take things into her own hands. Literally. No, she wouldn’t stoop to the levels of buying disgusting ugly pre-made chocolates. There was a whole five days left until Valentine’s Day. Plenty of time to master truffle-making. She would do this the right way. Marianne deserved it. This was everyone else’s fault for not appreciating her enough.
The kitchens were open late into the night, and as long as you were polite, no one cared if you were underfoot. Hilda had both napped and snatched snacks from there before. How hard could making chocolates be?
Hilda perused the available ingredients carefully. She’d need milk. And chocolate… powder? Paste? Whatever provided that distinct chocolate flavor. There was also a basket of peaches lying around. Marianne liked peaches, right? Marianne also liked flowers, and Hilda had seen plenty of edible flowers on the decorative desserts they’d fed her back at home.
The kitchens had plenty of flowers, some sitting in vases for freshness and others dried. Hilda would just experiment. It’d make the truffles prettier, give them a unique touch. She had it all planned out, could see the final product in her mind’s eye. Heart-shaped chocolates with an oozy peach center, topped with a tiny little flower, maybe even adorned with just petals in cute swirls, lovingly placed with the same gentle touch she made her jewelry with.
Hilda lit up one of the stoves and got to work.
....
Three hours later, Hilda was booted from the Monastery kitchens. There was chocolate goo in her hair and splattered all over her face. Her hands were blistered and burned. She reeked of burnt grass. At least five pots were now permanently ruined. This is why Hilda didn’t like doing things. Put in so much effort, and what’d she get? A bad hair day, stained clothes, and nothing to show for it.
After a shower, it was nearly three in the morning by the time she went to bed. She’d have to resort to the library tomorrow.
But first, she had to make it through class. Claude (because it could only be Claude), woke her up by heartily banging on her door.
“Rise and shine, Hilda! Don’t want Teach to come and break down your door!”
Hilda stumbled out of bed, pillow in hand. She opened her door, threw the pillow at Claude, and slammed the door back shut.
“Hey! What was that for?”
“You’re making me tired, and I haven’t even seen you yet” she complained. When she emerged, fifteen minutes later with hair brushed and a clean uniform put on, Claude was waiting expectantly. He handed the pillow back and looked her up and down.
“Someone had a late night, I take it.”
“Don’t tell me it’s that obvious.” She poked at one eye, where there should’ve been some helpful make-up. If she gave away the surprise, it’d all be over.
“Not really. You’d need to find someone pretty observant. Like, say, anyone with eyes.”
“This is your fault, you know.” Claude was the one who had gone and implanted all these thoughts about participating in her head.
Claude rolled his eyes, hands folded behind his head as they walked to class.
“Of course it is. I’ll just go ahead and apologize for the selfish, heinous act of wanting my dear friend to not be late to class.”
“You know what I’m talking about,” muttered Hilda darkly. Claude may or may not actually blab to Marianne if she told him what she’d been up to, but he would most definitely use this as evidence she did have effort to spare. The Goddess only knew what she’d get roped into then.
For now, she had to power through class.
…
Hilda startled awake. “Claude! I swear—”
“Ah! I’m sorry Hilda, I-I thought you’d want to know that class was over.”
Hilda squinted up at Marianne, vision blurry from where her eyes had been pressed into her arm while she napped. She rubbed at her forehead with a hand.
“No, no, you’re right. Thanks.” She did a quick scan for Claude. No one could know what she was about to do. He was talking to Lysithea, and Ignatz was holding out a bow to the Professor. That was both sharp-eyed Golden Deer taken care of.
“H-hilda. Your hands…”
Hilda glanced down. Oh. “Training accident!”
“You… you hate training…”
“And this is why! Look what happens when I train!”
Marianne bit her lip. “Would you, um, I’m not very good at it yet, but, I could heal them for you. As thanks for helping me with chores.”
Hilda blinked. “You can already do burns?”
“I might mess them up. I-it’s probably a bad idea after all.”
“No! Think of my poor, poor, aching hands. You can’t leave them like this.”
Hilda was useless with magic. But Marianne acquiesced, lowering her gaze to where Hilda obediently held out her hands, palms up.
Marianne placed her hands on top of Hilda’s, her palm braced by Hilda’s fingers and her own cold fingers tickling Hilda’s palm, just barely touching them. And then they began to glow, light gathering, heavy and tangible, like the heat that radiated from a fire. It slowly burned brighter and brighter, Marianne’s fingers warming with it. It tingled, though Hilda wasn't even sure if anything was actually happening yet.
The glow faded. Hilda flexed her hands, surprised to feel no lingering stiffness.
“Hey, they’re fully healed!”
Marianne went to move away, shaking her head. “Ah, Professor Manuela would’ve been faster at it, though…”
Hilda humphed, clenching her fingers around Marianne’s hands to hold her in place. Her hands were back to being cool, and a little clammy. She could feel them absorbing the warmth from her own skin.
“It doesn’t matter. You did a great job! And you were right here. Much less effort than going all the way to infirmary!”
Looking up into Marianne’s eyes to pass on the seriousness of her point, Hilda suddenly felt the urge to… to… to stand right up and kiss Marianne. She was in deeper than she thought.
“Well, I’ve got to head out now. Bye!”
And so Hilda scooched her chair away from her desk with one quick movement and fled.
She peered cautiously around the corner into the library. Linhardt was at a table in the corner, snoozing away. The rest of the coast was clear. She strolled in, acting as casual as possible, whistling a little fun tune. Linhardt wouldn’t wake up for anything less than the building catching on fire, so it was fine.
Half the spines of the books didn’t even have titles on them, and the Goddess only knew how this place was organized. Hida resorted to grabbing random books off the shelves and flipping through the pages as swiftly as possible. The longer she was in here, the higher the risk of being spotted.
Entreaty on the Political His— next. On the Biodiversity of Faerghus Mount— next. Hemodemographics: Crests and Blood Types. No wonder Linhardt was asleep. Was everything in here useless drivel? Did the Monastery not care at all about cooking delicious food? She couldn’t just ask any of the kitchen staff because they all hated her now. Maybe—
“Hilda? What are you doing here?”
Hilda froze, book in hand mid-way on the journey back to its shelf. She turned around, holding up the book with a smile.
“Oh, just looking for this!”
Annette cocked her head, eyes scanning the book’s cover. “The Ins and Outs of Cultural Diplomacy?”
“Homework assignment.”
“And you’re doing it?”
Hilda sighed. Annette was too smooth. “Look, I just want a stupid cookbook, okay? Are there any here?”
Annette looked confused, but then her eyes lit up. “You’re making someone a Valentine’s treat!” She was practically bouncing. “That’s so sweet of you!”
Annette elbowed past Hilda, heading for the back wall of the library. There, she rolled over a ladder and climbed up.
“What are you making? There’s a couple different guides up here.”
Hilda trailed after her. “Chocolates.”
Annette plucked a select few thin books from the highest shelf and climbed down, handing them to Hilda with a smile.
“You know, chocolates can be pretty tough for beginners. If you need help, Mercie’s an expert on this kind of thing.”
And so Hilda found herself carrying a stack of recipes and knocking on Mercedes’ door.
…
For all her supposed kindness, Mercedes was a cruel, cruel taskmaster in the kitchen. With a serene smile on her face, she watched maliciously as she forced Hilda to go through the labors of truffle-making. For three days straight they had been meeting up immediately after class, not parting ways until it was time for bed. Mercedes would heal up any burns or cuts Hilda managed to accumulate, part of the pact of secrecy Hilda had sworn her to. Sure, she’d love an excuse for Marianne to hold her hands again, but no one would believe Hilda had been training that many days in a row.
This was her last chance to get things perfect. All or nothing. It was for the best, because even Mercedes sweet-talking the chefs wouldn’t be enough for them to let Hilda back in tomorrow. It wasn’t her fault this was so different from jewelry making. Oh, it was similar. But the differences would slip Hilda’s mind, and boom. Burnt chocolate boiling and bubbling and exploding everywhere.
It was midnight when Hilda finished the last touch. A baker’s dozen of chocolates, some shaped like hearts, some shaped like flowers. Peach, strawberry, noa fruit, caramel. Alternating colors of blue and pink and white marking the truffles with swirls and elaborate designs. And sprigs of lavender here and there.
Hilda split the thirteenth chocolate in half, handing a piece over to Mercedes. They bit into them at the same time. All Hilda could really taste was sweet at this point. She’d eaten more chocolate in the last three days than she had in the entire last 18 years of her life.
“Absolutely delicious! I can tell that whoever you’re making these for is truly special to you.”
Hilda felt her face turning red. “Yeah, yeah. She is. I owe you one, Mercedes.”
Mercedes had also procured a cute box for her from the market, since Hilda was too paranoid to be seen out there.
She carefully packed up the chocolates, wanting to find the perfect arrangement but knowing that if she kept handling them they’d just melt.
“Good luck!” Mercedes called as Hilda marched back to her room. Tomorrow, she’d hand these over and confess. All or nothing.
…
She cornered Marianne after class. The other girl seemed more on edge than usual, wringing her hands together and refusing to meet Hilda’s gaze. Hilda frowned.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“I-I’m sorry. You’re mad at me.”
“I am?”
“You’ve been avoiding me… ever since I tried to heal your hands. I shouldn’t have experimented on you.”
Hilda couldn’t help it. She laughed. “Marianne, this has nothing to do with that! You did a swell job, we’ve been over this. I would never avoid you on purpose.”
Marianne frowned. “But… you ran away after class every time. I haven’t seen you around at all…”
This was it. “Well. I had something I was working on. In secret. It’s Valentine’s Day, y’know?”
Marianne glanced up, then her gaze went right back to the ground. “I, um, didn’t you say you hated today?”
Hilda gave her a little grin. “Yeah, when it was me receiving a bunch of nonsense confessions. But now I’m gonna do the confessing.”
“Th-then I should get going. I wouldn’t want to get in the way.”
Hilda took a breath, pulling the box out from behind her back. “You are the way. You’re cute, and thoughtful, and good with animals, and you put up with me. And you deserve the world. So, these are for you.”
Marianne’s eyes widened. “I… are you sure?”
Hilda huffed. “I spent three days learning how to cook these. I wouldn’t do that for just anyone.”
Marianne chuckled, and there. There was what Hilda had been longing to see. That adorable smile that lit up her whole face, wiping away the exhaustion she usually carried. Marianne accepted the box, holding it gingerly, gingerly, opening it with utmost care.
“They’re so pretty.”
Hilda preened, just a little. “Of course they are. I don’t half-ass everything.”
She watched with rapt attention as Marianne examined each and every truffle. “We should eat these together.” Marianne declared, sliding the lid back on. “S-somewhere with a view.”
Hilda beamed. “The Goddess Tower is probably crawling with couples right now. But I’m sure we can find somewhere.”
It was the 14th of Pegasus Moon. Hilda, as a whole, really, really liked Pegasus Moon. It had her birthday in it, the weather was chilly and perfect for cozy afternoon naps, there was usually snow, and it had Valentine’s Day in it! There was lots to love.
