one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

One of the probable reasons as to why Kaeya didn't arrive on time for Crepus and Diluc when they were attacked was because he, and the knights with him, had no vision, and thus, cannot use a teleport waypoint.

Him receiving his cryo vision when he was supposed to get scorched by Diluc was genuinely the biggest slap to the face given to him by Celestia. It arrived just in time to save HIM.

Even now, the vision only heals and shields him alone as a manifestation of his desire to keep living from that fight... but he can't use it to help others.

Was going to make a post about how when Swan is counting off all the Warriors in Woodlawn Cemetery she doesn't do it in roll call order but she does put Ajax and Rembrandt right next to each other, which would indicate theyre standing near one another (when u are obsessed with a ship which is not actually real u gotta take what u can get) but I went back in the lyrics and Swan actually DOES say their names in roll call order BUT she swaps herself for Cleon. Diabolical. This fucking album man.

Thinking thoughts about those from Cuivienen and how they later treated the Valar, especially after Cuivienen was destroyed.

I imagine a foundation of sorrow and a layer of betrayal and pettiness. They had promised safety. And how did it turn out? Kin of Tata and Tatie their first leaders, slain in Valinor by the Dark Hunter from which the Valar promised protection in Valinor.

And then, the War of Wrath comes and with it the destruction of Cuivienen.

If any of those were re-embodied in Aman, I wonder if they make it a point to always turn their back to Valar and Maiar. I wonder if they only speak in the tongue they had first devised all those millennia ago and spoke in Cuivienen before time and different kindreds changed the tongue, not Sindarin or Quenya from the Great Journey's time or later. I wonder if they sing songs in their ancient tongue, songs about the beauty and unsullied health of Cuivienen every time any of the Ainur are near.

I wonder if the Valar feel any shame when those who they once looked upon in wonder and love gaze back at them with indifference or disgust.

Continuing from this post here about Kaeya being left to deal with Crepus' funeral...

How do you think Kaeya felt at the wake? All his friends, coworkers as well as Crepus' closer business partners offer their condolences and he accepts them with a stiff smile, the start of him wearing the mask full-time.

At first, no one mentions it, but he can see it in their eyes as they talk. Where's Diluc? No one has seen him in a few days now. Those that are brave enough to bring it up are quick to talk shit about the missing heir, saying how unfair it is that he's not here and instead pushing it on the younger who isn't even bloodrelated. Kaeya has to try very hard not to lash out at these ignorant fools; also, in part because he feels like his place in Mondstadt is more precarious than ever. Now that his secret is no longer his own.

He's quick to assure them- with a slightly sharp smile- his brother (the words taste bitter in his mouth) is simply grieving in his own way on top of suddenly taking over the large business on his own, that he would join them if he could. It seems to placate them for now but he's not sure how long this will hold for another day, much less however long until the other reappears.

There's already rumors circulating that the other isn't even in Mondstadt anymore, having somehow made it to Sumeru in such a short amount of time. It's fitting really. When they were younger, Diluc had always been the faster one, never bothering to wait for Kaeya and his short legs. Why would things change now?
