alright, hey, hello! I haven't been active on here in like, two, three months? first of all I want to apologise to everyone who I've completely been ignoring, just know that I am absolutely thinking of you, my mind's just been elsewhere.

anyway - at the moment I'm on leave, which means that I've got about two weeks of time for writing. and since I haven't written in literal months, I feel like I should start slowly again. that's why I'm here right now, doing this post, because I've been thinking of re-opening my match ups! it's great training and I need that, like, desperately, plus I've been rereading some of my old matchups and many of them were actually really, really great. like, better than some of my old oneshots.

so practically what I'm asking is - would you guys like that? would you be interested in matchups?

because the last times I did them, I got a lot of requests, but then people barely interacted with the posts and as much as I'd like to do matchups, if all people do is leave likes I'm not gonna put in the amount of work it takes me to do these matchups. but if y'all say you're gonna value the time and effort I put into it, then I would absolutely love love love to do them for you!!!!

Violent protests, riots, start after the lack of change from peaceful protests: the warm political climate, heating up from years of ignorance or lack of change, with the pressure of wanted change and the lack of it from those in power, cause a powerful push from those who want difference. But a storm is not only high pressure, it is the combination of highs and lows, warms and cools, yin and yang. Violent resistance only works when peace is what is shown by the media. In U.S. classrooms we learn about the peaceful protests done by African Americans, as well as thousands of Indigenous, Latin, and Asian persons to spark change in laws and public opinion of black and brown Americans. We learn about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his “I Have a Dream” speech, we learn about Rosa Parks and the bus boycott, we learn about the sit-ins and marches that protested segregational architecture. These acts of civil disobedience caused much needed political change, and kept people protesting and fighting without painting an image of violence in the media. “The thunderstorm enters the mature stage when the updraft continues to feed the storm, but precipitation begins to fall out of the storm,” says the NOAA’s NSSL in a paper about the life cycle of a storm. The mature stage of resistance is when civil disobedience and riots begin and stand hold to resistance. idaho is already moving to repeal same-sex marriage. they say it's an overreach of the governmental power, and that the law should be determined by "state's rights".

trump is expected to sign an executive order banning trans women in women's sports. in the article i've linked there, he notes that the "biggest hand" (most applause) he gets is when he attacks trans women. isn't that interesting.

i know my own father voted for him. my own father, radicalized by podcasts and bad youtube, voted for this; felt smug about it. he genuinely believes the dems want to "put christians in camps." as if the dems could ever get off their silken asscheeks and actually do anything. i wish they had strong enough messaging to be misattributed like this.

my girlfriend and i worked the polls on election day, counting ballots. my father was eating noisily beside us. "see? you're freaked out about nothing." after all, i live in massachusetts: beautiful, expensive, no-working-transportation MA. the only state to go all-blue.

"if it's state's rights, you'll be fine," he said. i'd been sworn at a few days before this. a year ago almost to the day, i got hit in the head with an empty beer bottle. he said i was being dramatic. after all, first-adopter "the gay state" Massachusetts would rather explode than get rid of same-sex marriage. so what should i care, after all.

this man is a deacon. i guess he expects me not to get out of the car in any red state. i guess he thinks my relationship dissolves across certain borders. he doesn't see why it's concerning that i can't leave, because why would i want to. who wants to go to idaho? who cares about the real, living, breathing people in idaho.

(but then again: who cares about the real, living, breathing humans on deportation planes. they're not us. after all, my father came here legally. i am an american citizen because of birthright citizenship. i am even debating this because he immigrated.)

i texted my mom about it. i feel sick. no matter how much activism and research and outreach i do: it's always shocking to see a room full of people who hate you so much that they take legal action against you. on my small ex-work-laptop, i watch the shaking hands of people in idaho begging their representatives to reconsider. the fear in their voice is palpable. no person should have their relationship threatened this way. the motion still passes, 46-24.

it's all just happening so fast. i feel i am pushing my hands through glass pieces, watching the cuts before i feel them.

people often reference "first they came for..." when stuff like this happens, and while that's fair - there's a very quiet part of me that always says they're already at your door, you complete idiot. the same force that governs trans women's bodies will also be used against cis women. the censorship about supposed "DEI terms" will also be used to stifle science in general.

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

Adam, the first man and head of the exorcist angels, walked over to you- a shit eating grin graced his face however you were too preoccupied with some angelic duty to notice his presence in the area. Though, unsurprisingly you weren't shocked when he appeared behind you, his clawed hand on you shoulder ❝ hey there beautiful, I know I'm in heaven now, you just look so angelic ❞ and he watched you turn to him, face coloured with a beautiful golden hue that not only increased Adam's ego but also his grin.

✧⠀⨾ it's safe to say that Adam loves seen your face all golden (COZ ANGELS HAVE GOLEN BLOOD AND BLOOD WITH WHAT MAKES YOU BLUSH SO YOU AHVE GOLDEN BLUSH BTW)

✧⠀⨾ Not only does it make him feel even better about himself and his ability to swoon the ladies, he also just adores watching you get all sheepish and 'faint' around him because of his complements, angels are meant to be pure and dont really flirt with each other- so it's weird to have Adam constantly come up to you.

✧⠀⨾ it's also like only you that he does it to, any of his admirers (lets be honest, Adam has girls, and maybe even guys, who want him) are always ignored and they're so envious of you it's crazy.

✧⠀⨾ Dont worry though Adam loves you enjoys making you blush too much so any issues with people that like him and lute will get them for you / him.

✧⠀⨾ if you ever get de-sensitized by his flirts and comments he'll go mental- he find you blushing to be so fun and adorable so if you just stopped it would crush him
