Hey friend, I just started a poll blog to find the cutest baby animal. I thought you and some of your followers might be interested in submitting some cuties so I can get a bracket going!
Debated on whether or not to answer this ask, because I don't think people follow me to find new blogs, but I realized I could just do a poll in honor of yours! Good luck with the new blog!

Beetle grubs are some of my favorite baby animals, because they're so ridiculous and wiggly.

Townsend’s Solitaire
Find this thrush bird in forest edges in the West. The white eye-ring and long, slim tail with white outer feathers are key marks to look for in the field.

I forgot to share this here, but here’s some compiled clips from that time, a few weeks ago, that I helped one of my friends move across the United States. I don’t have any clips from the east coast, as I started filming when we reached Texas.
No, I’m not driving during these shots. They were taken during one of my rest shifts.

I went and joined iNaturalist, and you can see my adventures in the Klamath Falls, Oregon, USA area right over here.
I may occasionally post summaries of particularly interesting encounters with my local wildlife here, but iNat itself is the place to watch for day-to-day shenanigans.

Next year we have a road trip planned across the United States. I cannot wait until my eyes see these endless red hills and canyons for themselves.

This ruling is non-binding (not sure how it would be enforced even if it was considering Israel's chief protector is the U.S., which doesn't recognise the International Criminal Court and keeps trying to punish it for this kind of thing), but there's support for it across the board except from the US and its new vassal state, the UK. The Tory government has backed the US in ignoring every ICJ ruling on Palestine thus far and Starmer has been avoiding the issue but reinstated funding for UNRWA a few hours after the latest one. Starmer is a spineless Zionist maggot and as much of a US shill has the Tories however, so which way his government tips will probably depends on the strength of the US's reaction.
If you still want to vote for that death-worshipping lurching corpse in November and maybe claim back some of the voters who've decided they can't endorse this bloodthirsty maniac, now is the time to take to the streets and threaten to withhold your vote unless he fucking complies. Don't worry, the same amount of you will vote for him anyway since genocide is not a red line for you, but the DNC is jumpy enough now that they might want to err on the side of caution. Please try and stop your precious democracy from massacring any more children, even if only to save your own skins.

Jackson Hole remains one of the most popular destinations in western United States, and for good reason. With unparalleled natural beauty and sporting options, visitors come back to the valley time after time.Visiting Jackson Hole doesn’t necessarily mean spending all your time outdoors, although it certainly can mean that! Panoramic vistas surround this mountain town which makes it a wonder to behold any time of year, but snowbirds flock to it in the colder months, looking for things to do in Jackson Hole in winter and to take advantage of the terrain.

My sister said something to me earlier today that further solidified the idea that generations before mine have been constantly made to feel intimidated or afraid of this government and the horrible people who work for it and push its agendas. “They’re watching your social media if you’re not careful about what you say they won’t allow you to get a job or be successful.” Is one of the main things they’ve taught my sisters generation. I told her that you couldn’t intimidate a generation of people who’ve never had this countries protection, care, or protection. I couldn’t give a fuck less if I’m being completely honest with you right now. There’s absolutely nothing this country or the people in it could threaten me with in order to make me shut the fuck up about what they’re doing and the shitty choices they’ve made as a collective. You’ve told generations of Americans that if they don’t shut up and submit to what you’re doing and pushing that their family members would need to move into a state of fear and be afraid for them and that they should be afraid for their livelihoods, their success and their ability to create and build foundations for themselves and it’s about time people get to hear that loud and clear. The fear mongering and the oppression and the silencing of people in this world has got to stop and you only stop cycles of behavior by no longer participating them and changing the way that you behave and react.
They’re trying to make your children uneducated and ignorant by stopping the creation of educational television programs and creating shows and media meant for them that start fucking with their minds from an early age, our teachers are severely underpaid, the curriculum in schools is lacking, they pass laws to take race theory out of the curriculum and stop teaching about the history and oppression of people of color. They ban and attempt to sell apps to American companies so that they can better censor the content that over 1 billion people are consuming every single day that has allowed the truth to spread faster than lies for the first time since this country was founded.
You fucked up letting our generations students with progressive and out of the box ideas into Ivy Leagues to climb your elitist ladder and subjecting generations of individuals to generational trauma and oppression. People have been waiting over forty years for this generation to come into existence. We’re here now. It’s too late.

a very annoying aspects of even well meaning Americans is that they too think the United States is the center of the world. "Israel is bombing rafah while we are distracted by the Superbowl" "Israel is invading rafah while everyone focuses on the Met Gala".
the rest of the world is not planning military operations around our cultural events. I even forgot about the Superbowl until a week before it happened, and I didn't know the Met Gala was going on until the day of. And I live in this country. if I forget about this stuff, foreign governments planning an invasion weeks in advance, responding to localized political developments such as ceasefire talks, aren't thinking about non-political events going on in our country.
and I say this as someone who wishes things were different: but what would the difference be? do you think if the Met Gala wasn't going on that people would be out into the streets demanding a ceasefire? if the Superbowl had not been occuring, do you think our government would finally listen to our calls & emails if a slightly stronger campaign was going on that day?
this is more to call out of Americans who are still making everything about them. other country's militaries are not thinking about American civilian opinion when deciding military actions. they may consider US government opinion, but in this case it's well established our government doesn't care about public opinion. individuals maybe different, but as a whole we are already complacent.
please quit thinking the world revolves around the United States as it is negatively & inaccurately affecting your analysis & worldview, distorting where the focus should be: on the civilians facing violence & our government's culpability.
