【I wanted to find the one responsible for creating this tragedy,】 said the Plotter. 【The one who created this universe. The one that made me regress, and made me repeat the scenarios. My goal is to kill the one beyond the 'Wall'.】 That was his true goal. Stopping the regressions, saving the Outer Gods, opening up the Final Wall…
I was improvising on the fly, but I did genuinely feel that way. Since I heard his true end goal, it was time for me make my reply. – From the get-go, the world that peeps on and greedily devours someone else's life is wrong. The < Star Stream > was wrong. Yoo Joonghyuk's regressions were wrong, and the stories the scenarios created were unfair. – That's why I won't sit still. I'll witness the Conclusion. You say I shouldn't, but I'll see it regardless. I'll definitely jump over that Wall you failed to cross along with my companions, and as for the being beyond it… The Plotter was now waiting for me to finish my words. – …I'll kill that guy. I'll end your 'Oldest Dream'.
Hmmm
Maybe it's my own theories influencing me, but I'm getting such "be careful what you wish for" vibes. Dokja saying he's going to kill Oldest Dream without having any idea who (or even what) they are? I'm certain that can't possibly go wrong. It definitely won't turn out that Oldest Dream is an alternate worldline version of someone you know and care about. (Or yourself...in which case, yeah, Dokja would totally off him.)
Not to mention, they both seem to be saying that Oldest Dream is both the author and Joonghyuk's sponsor? At least, that's who I'd consider to be the one who "created this universe"?
Unless they're more speaking in the terms of the author being the one who technically wrote Joonghyuk's sponsor, who then made him regress, in which case they could be different people, though I thought it was made clear earlier that Oldest Dream is his sponsor so...
Not to mention Dokja saying he's going to kill him makes a little more sense if he's a "character" versus a "real person" outside of all of this.
Because, literally, what does going over the Wall even mean? Like, is it just another location or another worldline or is it outside of all of this? Some part of me is imagining Dokja going over the Wall and he's just...back sitting on the train looking at TWSA on his phone.

Time Travel AU: Prologue
Ah, well here goes my first attempt at a fic. Hopefully it's somewhat enjoyable 🙇♀️.
Fuck.
This was not how the day was supposed to go. Adam and his exorcists were supposed to come down from heaven to deliver some holy cleansing, destroy Lucifer’s spawn’s shitty hotel, and remind these losers their place. This was supposed to be a fun day! A stress reliever! Entertainment! But now those same losers surrounded him and his girls as he laid on the ground, golden ichor escaping his body. That fucking midget cyclops - where the hell did she come from?! Lucifer too. Since when did he give a shit about sinners?!
What a shit show. Lute held Adam with her remaining arm, mouthing words that just didn’t seem to fully form in his head. The colour slowly drained from his face, his body felt heavier, and everything seemed to just slowly blur into one image. All he could focus on was Lute’s face, tears freely fell down her cheeks, her body trembling as she desperately clung onto Adam willing him to stay with her. With the last of his strength, Adam gave her a soft smile - one he reserved for those he truly cared about. His ending could be worse, at the very least Lute was there with him until the end.
As much as he hated leaving his girls to their fates, eternal peace was something Adam welcomed. Sure heaven was well… heavenly. While he did enjoy what he did, it was at times stressful, and those higher up angels with sticks up their asses didn’t make it any better.
Finally.
…
…
…
A gentle breeze whistling between the leaves, birds singing in the background, the warm hug of the sunlight on his bare skin as the soft grass cushioned him. This felt familiar. Was this his life flashing before his eyes? Sure, Adam experienced something similar on his first death, but on that one he felt like he was floating, not really in control of anything, like watching a movie of his life. This one…it felt a little too grounded.
“Wake up”.
What the fuck. That sounds too real.
“It’s time to open your eyes”.
Is that..? Nope. I’ll just lay here, it’ll go away soon.
…
“Um…did we make a mistake? Maybe he’s not finished yet”.
“No, he should be complete. The woman woke up just fine”.
A soothing presence inched closer and Adam felt a soft hand caress his cheek, “Come on, you can do it”.
Adam peeked one eye open. What in Father’s holy name. He opened both eyes, blinking several times, even rubbing them just to make sure he was seeing right. Kneeling beside him was Sera, smiling at him with a warmth that he hasn’t felt in years. They were in a circle surrounded by the other seraphim: Gabriel, Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and of course, that snake, Lucifer. Just the sight of him made Adam's blood boil, but he kept his features cool, his body relaxed as he sat up guided by Sera's gentle hands.
“There you are,” Sera smiled as she stood up, brushing off some invisible dirt off her pristine dress. “You are Adam, and this is your new home, the Garden of Eden. You along with your wife, Lilith, will govern these lands gifted to you by your creator, God”. At the mention of her name, Lilith appeared from behind Michael and walked towards Adam, her violet eyes shining with purpose, long blonde hair swaying behind her as she carried herself with an aura of grace and beauty. Adam simply remained seated on the ground, tight lipped, eyes fixed on Lilith's form.
“Aw, he seems to be captivated by the first woman. How adorable,” Raphael whispered to Gabriel, who looked like he’d rather be anywhere else.
As if, this bitch is literally one of the last people I ever want to see.
Sera guided Lilith’s hand unto Adam’s, “Well then, I’ll leave you two to become acquainted with each other”.
And with that, bright light enveloped the seraphim until all that remained in the garden were Adam and Lilith.
As soon as the angels were gone, Adam quickly pulled back his hand away from Lilith. Gross. He slumped back on the soft grass, his right arm covering his eyes, hoping that if he closed his eyes again he'd return to reality.
…
“Adam?”
…
“Is something wrong?”
Yeah, you. Adam sighed heavily. It seemed like this was his waking reality now.
This was not how the day was supposed to go.

[Footnotes provided for non Reboot fans.]
There are very many Kenzie in Reboot bad endings, as you might imagine when one dumps Kenzie (girl who tried to sell herself to a serial killer online because the serial killer seemed lonely) in a city with major Circle (international human trafficking ring) presence, plus one million organ harvesters and murderers and rapists and suchlike. However, there is at least one feasible good ending, and it starts like this.
Kenzie gets portalled into the outskirts of the slums. Looks around. She looks enough like a city tourist that she doesn't get immediately mugged and kidnapped, just lightly pickpocketed. Runs into Bernie* and gets scammed five times in five minutes, but very quickly runs out of things to trade thanks to the aforementioned pickpocketing and ends up tagging along with him as an assistant. I'd have to re-listen to Bernie's appearances to see how that plays out.
Within a fairly short timeframe (few days? depends if I can wrangle them into an interesting and enjoyable dynamic) they run into the PCs and start trying to sell them stuff. Eve** (this is mid-S1) sees Kenzie and her must protect instincts click into gear. The PCs become aware of Kenzie's Tinkering abilities (she probably tries to sell them something she's made), and turns out that cameras are just what they need for their latest quest, but they need one made to particular specifications. They commission Kenzie's help (motivated in part by Eve's protectiveness) and she heads back with them to Ugly's Motors***.
Kenzie is eventually taken on as, like, a child/little cousin/apprentice by Eve and Incongruent****. Collaborates with Pr0***** on various tracking and surveillance projects, but I don't think their personalities would mesh very well. Speaking of, putting a kid who's desperate for parental love and has no concept of boundaries and is codependent to the point of damaging everyone around her and herself together with a nurse bot whose trauma and programming intersect to make her desperate to look after a baby, and who has also been alive for about two months and so has barely any knowledge of healthy interaction herself... well... this is going to go terribly. Or really, really well! Here's hoping Incongruent can mediate the situation.
Kenzie also accompanies the PCs into the city to meet the Clements family, which is where she meets Uriel and her personal plotline (spy vs spy plus rescue-mission) kicks off.
*NPC. Slummer and salesman. Comparable to Cutting-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler from Discworld, but less successful.
**PC. Sentient nurse bot. Or ex-nurse bot? Fun fact, drones become sentient by experiencing something both impossible to process and unthinkably traumatic, so she's got her own neuroses around children on top of her programming. She's awesome and I love her.
***Home base, kind of.
****NPC. Another sentient robot, though most PCs don't know that. Romance with Eve, later on. Ignore his remarks about puny fleshbags and the fact that he could crush your head like a grape, he totally doesn't mean anything by it, and it's not like he has justified reasons to oppose humanity... right?
He's chill, though, I promise.
*****PC. Hacker. Circle survivor. My favourite. Has done nothing wrong ever in his life (I say as the narrator asks his player whether he wants to make a Ganger or Human Trafficker skill check).

Good Omens 2 Rewatch. Episode 3.
I love Muriel sooo much, they are just lovely!
Also, I adore the way Aziraphale looks at them with utter delight, like they are a sweet innocent child. Maybe he sees himself in them, as he was all those years ago when he first was stationed on Earth. I’ve read in another meta that this season in Jim and Muriel Aziraphale sees examples of nice angels as opposed to Michael, Uriel and others. Which is important because it reminds him – and us – that not all angels in Heaven are bad. Maybe it’s just those who are corrupted by power?
The conversation with Crowley when he sees Muriel is also quite interesting:
C: I don’t know how you lot managed to stay in charge all this time.
A: I’m not sure we have, have we?
It’s actually quite interesting if Aziraphale really believes this, isn’t it? That Heaven isn’t in charge, they’re just under the impression that they are, just like Muriel thinks Aziraphale believes them.
Just like Muriel, Heaven is like a child. They don’t understand the rules of the game, but when they have a toy in their hands they have a power to break it.
I think Aziraphale would want to save the “toy”, and it also adds to his understanding that he has to go to Heaven to fix it. To teach the child.
The Metatron on the other hand, also sees that they have lost control, and he needs Aziraphale to help him regain this control. He may think he can easily overpower Aziraphale if (when) it comes to that. But not if Aziraphale is with Crowley. 25 Lazarii with half a miracle – that’s something to be afraid of.
So the Metatron must be very sure that Crowley won’t come to Heaven with Aziraphale. [My theory is that this is something which the coffee might be for – not to make Aziraphale come to Heaven, but to separate him from Crowley afterwards. My initial idea was that it was meant to make Aziraphale forget Crowley once he enters Heaven (and that’s why Aziraphale is smiling in the lift). But I don’t know.]
***
It’s so great that we have a dialogue from the book in the historical episode here. Also interesting that in the book it is conveyed from Crowley’s POV and though he doesn’t understand this principle, he then remembers about it, so he must have been listening to Aziraphale very carefully and trusted him at least to some extent. However at the end of this adventure it’s Aziraphale who gets to share more of Crowley’s beliefs and understands the shades of grey better.
Just like with Job, Crowley gets to pretend he is “Down with wicked” while simultaneously showing Aziraphale more complicated moral situations than he’s used to.
***
The bickering about the car is so sweet. :) Crowley knows how to threaten Aziraphale, but in reality he does a great job not selling any of Aziraphale’s books, hehe. :D
***
Also: aren’t the tartan Highlands pretty? And Nessie there amongst them. Aziraphale-if-I-can’t-make-the-car-yellow-I-might-as-well-make-the-mountains-stylish. XD
***
I love Crowley explaining his plan to Gabriel. :D He is so invested in this, my dear. <3 :D
Also there are so many hints about the flies. Can’t believe we didn’t guess what was going on!
***
Aziraphale acts so silly in the Resurrectionists minisode. Like, too silly, imho. Okay, maybe he can think digging dead bodies is bad, technically that’s really a very dark business. But he’s seen Elspeth and Morag, he knows they need money, and yet he makes the dead body rot so it’s bad for everyone: for Elspeth and Morag who don’t get the money, for the surgeon and even for the body. What sort of blessing is this, Aziraphale??
And he’s so pleased with himself, ugh.
When Crowley shakes his head, it really seems that he’s truly a bit disappointed. So he’ll see that Aziraphale learns his lesson. But when he does, he also acts not at all wisely. Instead of giving the girls money or something he drags them to the cemetery to dig up other bodies. *facepalm*
So what happens here is that he learns the wrong lesson again and again. What Crowley tries to convey to him is that it’s not all black and white. What Aziraphale sees is that he thought something was black while it was actually white.
[I’m absolutely ready to tear up at the way Aziraphale is holding that jar with a tumor – as if he’s holding a dead body of a child. T_T He is genuinely shaken. He’d never looked at the problem from his angle, and he is ready to admit his fault – utterly and sincerely. I really like it that though Aziraphale sometimes comes across as arrogant and self-righteous bastard, he is indeed very compassionate, and he sincerely believes everything he believes.
One more nice parallel there.
Morag: Aye, I will help, ‘cause that’s what pals do. But it still doesn’t make it right.
Aziraphale: That’s the spirit!
Funny that he says it to a girl who’s been all “It’s wrong, you’ll go to hell for that”, and he approved of her belief just a couple of hours ago, and now he sees that her faith is actually quite ignorant, and he tries to dissuade her. He’s been in her place so many times and he’ll still be there again. Does he even see it?]
When wee Morag dies Aziraphale is that close to admit he was wrong again (“It’s my fault”)) and black actually was black and Elspeth is indeed evil for selling Morag’s body.
Crowley’s words “It’s bit different when it’s someone you know, isn’t it?” make it harder for Aziraphale, because yet again his “black” and “white” change places.
But the lesson isn’t over yet. Elspeth wants to end her life and he sees that she is grieving. Maybe Aziraphale’s lecture about opportunities for poor people wasn’t that correct after all?
But it takes Crowley’s final good deed to seal it. Crowley, a demon, chooses to do good, risking himself for a human girl. Of course this should add to Aziraphale believing a bit more in Crowley’s shades-of-grey moral.
***
Now, what is also interesting to think about: that lecture Aziraphale is giving Crowley, it’s about free will that humans have unlike angels and demons.
Later in the book there’s a line about even though they didn’t have free will, after being around humans for 6000 years you can’t help but catch a thing or two.
So, maybe these seemingly pointless episodes are also meant to show us the moments where Crowley and Aziraphale exercise free will?
Crowley saving Jobs children
Aziraphale lying to the angels
Aziraphale almost saving Morag even though “it’s not allowed”
Crowley stopping Elspeth from killing herself
Aziraphale entrusting his life to Crowley at the magic show and stealing the evidence from Furfur
They don’t have free will like humans do, that’s why it’s harder for them to “just be us”. But they are learning. Learning from the humans.
Like in this season they learned from Nina and Maggie.
Crowley is a better student at that, has always been. And we all remember Aziraphale saying he goes too fast for him. But Aziraphale is trying too, and all these episodes where he sometimes seems silly are just him learning to be human the hard way like he learned his French. His French is awful, as is his free will yet. But he’s getting there! He’s much better than any other angel at that. It’s just hard for him because he can’t be as fast as Crowley.
***
The whole bit with Crowley high on laudanum is both so hilarious and heartwarming. It’s brilliant that if Crowley was just high and acted ridiculous it would look a bit embarrassing, but Crowley literally used this as an excuse to do a good thing and not be accounted for his actions. (Oh, yeah, but you weren’t high yet when you drank that thing to prevent the girl from killing herself and committing a sin, my dear.)
Aziraphale just can’t help it after that – the way he holds Crowley to steady him, the way he repeats twice that he did a very kind thing – he is all bubbling with love and admiration. He himself wasn’t that sure that Elspeth could be trusted, but Crowley was.
Right that moment Crowley is taken to Hell. (If it were fanfic, it would be just the beginning, ahah. I’ve read so many things like that. But it’s a different genre, so that’s where it ends, and the writers are like: “Here you are, go and play with it.” :D I love it.)
It has already been mentioned that in the canon we now have, next time Crowley sees Aziraphale, he asks for holy water, and Aziraphale refuses. Like even though he knows that Crowley must have suffered in Hell for what he’d done in Scotland. How could he?
But come on, has anything really changed with the addition of this episode in our picture of events or in Aziraphale’s knowledge of Hell? I don’t think so.
In the previous season we had several hints on that too – that Hell doesn’t just send rude notes, and that Crowley really is in constant danger of them. And Aziraphale knew that too, he mentions that to Crowley in the Globe and in St James’s. The fact that this time he sees Crowley taken away again is just a circumstantial evidence. In the graveyard Crowley says he’s got a loophole – laudanum – to calm Aziraphale and himself. When Crowley comes back to Earth he doesn’t say anything about what happened to him. He either thinks Aziraphale will guess it from his request or he doesn’t want to worry him. (If only Crowley was more open with him like ever…)
But all Aziraphale can think of is that holy water is something that can destroy Crowley. He hasn’t seen Crowley for a long time. He probably was worried sick. Might even have thought that Crowley was gone forever. And now he sees him, and Crowley is asking for a thing that can make it happen – kill Crowley forever.
Aziraphale is being selfish here, of course. But how can he possibly be judged? He loves Crowley so much. :(
***
Crowley making a rain for Nina and Maggie is such a Cupid, lol! <3 The way he is grinning looking through the window. Aaaw. If he ever returns to being an angel (which I don’t want him to do of course but if) that’s what they should appoint him to do: go around do mischief especially to create convenient circumstances for people to fall in love. He’ll be so pleased with himself!
[Imagine a conversation in the cottage:
C: Angel, angel! Hear me out! What I did today! I was at a bakery, and two people were standing underneath a shelf with little cakes, and I made the shelf collapse, and they were under a rain of cakes! And then they started to pick up pieces the cake off each other’s clothes, and the girl wiped some cream off the boy’s cheek and licked her fingers. She didn’t even mean to flirt she just giggled, but I saw it did the trick!
A *pouting*: You never did this thing for us! I want a cake rain too! That’s it, we’re going to the bakery.]
***
Crowley and Shax conversation is also so great, I love seeing Crowley so animated and yet so wonderfully in control. How his sarcasm when it comes to not inviting her in takes turns with genuine helpfulness in the matter of the boiler. This is gold. XD And then right after it he loses it talking to Gabriel because he is soooo worried about Aziraphale.
Funny thing that he doesn’t really hide his feelings for Aziraphale from himself. Just from Aziraphale and everybody else (Jim doesn’t count). Unlike Aziraphale, who often tells Crowley nice things about him (or things that he considers nice), but he never lets himself openly admit his feelings even when he is alone – especially, when he is alone. As if it would make him responsible to do something about it.

Okay, some Thoughts about Good Omens 2 and that ending and stuff
Disclaimer: I’ve never read the book. I’ve never heard the radio show. Beware, there is criticism under the “keep reading” as well as my analysis of the ending. I’m using male pronouns but feel free to substitute the ones you prefer.
I loved “Good Omens 2″. And have rewatched it at least three times, as well as having it on in the background. And watched clips on YouTube, especially of the ending. I’VE CRIED A FUCKING RIVER. The beginning with Angel!Crowley squealing and squeaking with happiness over his new universe is cute and heartbreaking.
And naked Jon Hamm! Who doesn’t love naked Jon Hamm? He is hilarious.
But here were my problems as I was watching it. First: Crowley’s present day hair. Hated it, hated it, hated it. The little curl bobbing around when he moved his head kept distracting me. It was a beautiful red first season, and all of the hairstyles were lovely, especially when it was long!!
What’s with the color and curls? Aziraphale’s hair is still the same. And no full-on serpent eyes!
And no odd little noises. What happened to the odd little noises?
The plot was thin. Hanging the whole thing on something as small as Gabriel’s disappearance after the enormity of S1 left it a tad lacking. The Nazi zombie “minisode” was irritating. If you’re going to have Nazi zombies, don’t let them stumble out and kill more people! Also, it was so SATISFYING when they were killed. (Does that count as retcon?) The zombies were mainly there so we could watch Aziraphale play with the feather boa and be flustered all over the place. It was so unnecessary. It would have been better minus Nazi zombies. But zombies are all the rage these days, so I guess you have to have them.
I’m generally down with the horror side of things, except for those poor graveyard guards, doomed to fall forever. And why did Maggie love Nina so much? Nina was basically a grump who barely smiled and certainly gave her no encouragement. I know they were supposed to mirror the main couple but it was pretty weak tea. The more anvilicous, the less enjoyable. Seriously, I didn’t give a shit. The only part I liked was when they told Crowley to back off.
While I knew when watching that the series was mostly fan service on a silver platter garnished with parsley, I still enjoyed it. I would watch Michael and David talk about coding. (In my day we’d say read the phone book but do phone books even exist any more?) However, again, my toes are broken from all of the anvils. I squirmed at how shameless it was. I knew there would be fan art and fan fiction and GIFs out the wazoo, so who am I to piss on somebody else’s fun? But for me, there were moments when I wanted to say, “tone it down a little! We get it!”
Especially since Aziraphale was such a prissy little fluff ball through the whole season. Does anyone else think S1 Aziraphale would have been a ferocious warrior when the demons showed up? Rather than “oh dear, here girls, you fight the devil’s army!” He could have yeeted the demons into the holy circle! By the way, who made the holy circle? When he calls, “Anybody there?” who answered?
And, and, AND there was no significant fights between Aziraphale and Crowley! Remember “How can somebody so clever be so stupid!”? When the conflict between the main characters is insignificant (until the end) it diminishes the whole stakes. Which is why I feel like the ending was hastily slapped on, even if it did rip my heart out of my chest.
But I’ve thought a lot about the ending, and I think Metatron played Aziraphale like a harpsichord. Do you think for one minute Metatron thinks Aziraphale could lead Heaven and a huge project like the Second Coming? Of course not, he thinks Aziraphale is a chump. Azi will think he’s in charge while Michael and Uriel walk all over him.
Aziraphale didn’t want to go to Heaven, but Metatron flattered him AND offered to let Crowley return as bait. That did it, because Azi can be an idiot at times. Remember how he thought he could go have a word with Heaven and straighten everything out in S1? When Crowley says no, Aziraphale has made a promise and I don’t recall him ever being able to break a promise. When they kiss he’s hopelessly confused and crying.
Metatron comes along, Azi almost protests that he doesn’t want to go, but again, he made a promise. This is just me, but when he’s in Heaven’s elevator, as we watch it go up, we see him slowly being brainwashed

Hellsite Nostalgia Tour 2023 Day 71
Wishful Thinking/The Lazarus Experiment
“Wishful Thinking”
Would I Survive the First Five Minutes??: why is this looking a lot like the one with the ghost ship? I know it’s not. Ok so no one died…I don’t think???
From the recap—I…it shouldn’t cause so many fluttery heart feelings to hear Cas say they were going to smite an entire town, but here we are…I’m gonna miss this Castiel
Ok but like…who on this show ISN’T at least kind of a dick?? You can’t just say that about the Uriel
Your dedication to the job is heartwarming, Dean…has nothing to do with the fact that the ghost is haunting a women’s shower, I’m sure
Stop. Stop. You can’t just name the fake book you’re ‘writing’ supernatural…
“There’s a Bigfoot out there dammit, and he’s a son of a bitch”
I do not remember this episode AT ALL. Wtf is happening?? I know there’s allegedly a wishing well but what are these people even wishing for??
The fairy tales episode I could handle, but this is WEIRD
I am DYING. So this Bigfoot is apparently this little girl’s teddy bear? And the Winchesters are posing as teddy bear doctors to be able to see it…this is fantastic. Omg omg omg how did I block this out of my memory?? The teddy bear who came to life, became human adult size, and is now despairing at the fact that it’s now gained consciousness…but all Audrey wants to do is have tea parties with him, but he’s DEPRESSED depressed…which the boys are calling “lollipop disease” to placate her and get her to leave for a while
I guess the safest thing is to wish for a sandwich (still got E. coli from it)
That’s… that’s a dark wish, Sam. I mean, I get it, but damn.
I bet the kid who stopped chasing the other kids asked Dean if he had a problem is the first wisher…that’s the only reason I can see for including him so far
THE TEDDY BEAR JUST TRIED TO BLOW ITS BRAINS OUT BUT IT HAS NO BRAIN JUST STUFFING SO IT’S STILL ALIVE
It’s not the engagement, that’s too obvious…oh god, she barely has free will.
Hang on, it IS that guy who wished for the engagement?? Then what’s the deal with the mean looking kid???
Can’t believe they hit the invisible kid with the car and…
Oh, THAT’s the point of the mean looking kid. Give him super strength and make him yell “KNEEL BEFORE TODD!!” because…of course his name is Todd. It’s the perfect name. Dean just tried to “with great power comes great responsibility” him and got hit in the face for it
Hoooooooly shit. Hope just got Sam electrocuted out of nowhere.
Oh. Oh, Todd. Aw, but Dean helping him not be bullied anymore anyway.
Sorry, there’s a lot of moving pieces in this episode
Oh no…Dean DOES remember EVERYTHING from hell, and he thinks there’s no helping him and he just has to live with that and shoulder it all alone. I hate it.
“Been On My Mind…”: Nope. 7.
“The Lazarus Experiment”
God…I both can and can’t believe how quickly he tries to just dump Martha…🙄
Ahhhh!!! Mr Saxon mention again 💖
I love that all moms are suspicious of the Doctor
It’s weird to see non-Mycroft Mark Gatiss
Oh, are there—are there some side effects to extremely literal anti-aging?? Who would have seen that coming
Marthaaaaaaa!!! The Doctor does not deserve you and how clever you are!! Bravo you collecting a DNA sample from Not Mycroft
God, I know his DNA is constantly being rewritten but this hurts to see…I mean, kinda. These two aren’t necessarily good people, but the betrayal she suffers…
I think in my 20s I was annoyed with Martha’s mom being this concerned, and maybe she’s still being a TINY TINY bit overbearing (Martha was only gone 12 hours as far as she knows but still thinks there’s no way for Martha to become a doctor if she doesn’t focus??), but she’s not completely wrong
Man, I wish Tish was as suspicious of weird shit as her mother…
Ok but I wouldn’t trust the guy who shaded the Doctor either!!!
Oh he’s a MONSTER monster. Bug ass — I mean big ass scorpion looking thing with a terribly CGI’d face holy shit (bug ass really came from me not looking as I typed and it was too funny to let go)
The face doesn’t even look like Mark Gatiss either…..
Is this dude working for Mr Saxon?? That’s the only thing I can think as to why he’s so invested in this Doctor smear campaign
Honestly, this part in the cathedral is beautiful and haunting. You can almost feel bad for the guy…
Taking your sweet old time with that organ, aren’t you Doc?
Is he actually dead this time??
I wish Tish could go on just one trip. I think she’d like that
Episodes Since the Doctor’s Last Attempted Genocide: is it 3 now? This was probably a bad segment. I have a hard enough time keeping track of just the regular day number

The Horny Cinematography of Seasons 4 and 5 of Supernatural
So I made this kinda silly post about how horny the late Kripke era of Supernatural was and it was mostly meant as a joke, but then it got me thinking. So I did a little bit of digging, went through some memorable scenes, and noticed some actual patterns in the way Dean and Castiel are shot versus other characters. Disclaimer: this is not exactly a scientific analysis. I didn’t rewatch the entire two seasons for this and there are probably shots with other characters that I missed that go against it, but this is just the general trend that I noticed.
Click on the images for higher resolution. Analysis is under the cut.
So the general premise of this analysis is that Cas and Dean are shot noticeably close-up, typically staring intensely into each other’s eyes. I think we all know about the whole staring thing, but the actual close-ups were way more intense then I think some people might realize, especially when compared to other interactions between different characters. Cas in particular is shot very close-up frequently whether he’s talking to someone else or by himself (there are so many gorgeous close-ups of Misha in season 4), but the intense eye contact is pretty much only with Dean.
It starts off almost immediately in 4x01 Lazarus Rising where in Dean and Castiel’s very first interaction, they stand very close and the camera focuses on their faces. First we have two close-ups, then in what is maybe my favorite shot in all of Supernatural, Castiel steps in closer to Dean and the close-ups get even tighter. He tilts his head and stares thoughtfully at Dean with those big blue eyes. Cut to Dean’s look of discomfort after being told (very accurately) “you don’t think you deserve to be saved.”
Things amp up in literally Castiel’s second appearance in 4x02 Are You There God? It’s Me, Dean Winchester with one of the horniest Destiel scenes in the show (again this is only their second interaction!) We have Castiel unexpectedly showing up at Bobby’s house, Dean sassing him, and Castiel stepping very close to Dean and saying “You should show me some respect. I dragged you out of Hell. I can throw you back in.” This is a very tense interaction with some beautiful low key lighting that pretty much went extinct after season 5. Notice how tight the frame is, even compared to 4x01. These are extreme close-ups where both Dean and Castiel’s chins and foreheads are cut out of the frame.
Castiel’s third appearance in 4x03 In the Beginning is a lot more prominent as he has many scenes throughout the episode instead of just one. I’m not gonna include pictures of all of them because there’s lot, but there are plenty of close-ups and intense gazes between the two (e.g. sitting on the bed, “Hello Dean. What were you dreaming about?” which according to Misha, Kim manners said was “too gay” but they did it like that anyway) and contains the first time they touch and the first time they are shot in more high key lighting. Go rewatch the episode if you want to see more lovely close-ups between Dean and Cas.
Next I would like to draw your attention to episode 4x07 It’s the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester. This is Castiel’s fourth appearance and the first time we see him interact with a character who’s not Dean. This is where the differences between how they’re shot start to become apparent. First we have Sam’s first interaction with Castiel (greetings blood freak) that is shot with standard close-ups. Eventually, Dean comes in, conversation happens blah blah blah and we get to the more intense discussion about how the angels want to destroy the town. The discussion is between Dean, Cas, Sam, and Uriel, but Dean and Cas get most of the focus. The camera tells us that they are the main subjects in this scene. Dean and Cas are shot more close-up and tighter and they are standing closer and looking in each others eyes unlike Sam who is looking back and forth between them and standing a few steps back.
Of course this doesn’t stop in season 4. Here is a similar example from 5x02 Good God, Ya’ll! but the difference between Dean and Cas and Sam is even more obvious. This is the “I'm hunted, I rebelled, and I did it, all of it, for you,” exchange which I find interesting. Some people could say here that Cas means “you” plural as in Sam and Dean but the Camera is so focused on just Dean and Cas while Sam just sorta hangs there in the background.
One thing that I think is interesting is that these types of shots-extreme close-ups with two characters looking into each other’s eyes and standing no feet apart-are not necessarily exclusive to Dean and Cas, but they are usually in a different context. Pretty much all (at least that I could remember) the other examples of this type of shot are between one character and a villain. Below we have three fairly intense confrontations between characters, Sam and Uriel in 4x07 It’s the Great Pumpkin, Sam Winchester, Dean and Alastair in 4x16 On the Head of a Pin, and Dean and Cas in 4x22 Lucifer Rising. The composition is almost exactly the same with similar lighting as well, but one of these things is not like the other. Very obviously Cas is not a villain and this scene in particular is a huge moment for his character that cements his decision to fully rebel against Heaven for Dean.
Also characters that tend to be that close together looking into each other’s eyes in two shots are usually villains except for Dean and Cas. Below we have a shot of Ruby and Sam very close together right before he drinks her blood and a very close-up shot of Dean and Alastair both in 4x16 On the Head of a Pin. Compare that to the two shot from 4x02 Are You There God? It’s Me, Dean Winchester above for example. There is a certain sexual nature in these two villain scenes (and a lot of villain interactions on Supernatural in general). Obviously, Sam and Ruby are literally having sex, but Alastair is also portrayed as a villain who sexually objectifies his victims (the torture scene with Ruby, calling Dean “Daddy’s little girl, etc.) but Cas is not a villain and yet the framing is very similar.
Now I want to compare two fight scenes, one in season 4 and one in season 5. Here we have the fight scene between Ruby and Sam in 4x09 I Know What You Did Last Summer. Ruby is of course a sexy lady who Sam sleeps with in a sexy fight scene where she “proves” that she wants to help Sam by killing the other demon instead of Sam. But of course, the fight scene in 5x18 Point of No Return is shot way more close-up and Dean and Cas are inches away from each other. While I wouldn’t described this scene as “sexy” (Cas is literally beating Dean to a pulp) it is way more charged...intimate isn’t exactly the right word but there’s a similar but more intense erotic energy than in the fight scene with Ruby.
Unrelated side note: there is a great use of breaking the 180 degree rule in this scene that I think works way better in this instance at disorienting the viewer than the shaky cam does.
Next I have some random examples I noticed that show some of the different shots between characters. We have Anna in 4x10 Heaven and Hell right before she has sex with Dean. It’s fairly close-up, but still pretty loose framing compared to a lot of scenes between Dean and Cas. Anna’s entire face is still in the frame. Then we have a scene between Sam and Ruby in 4x09 I Know What You Did Last Summer that is also not as close-up as a lot of Dean and Cas scenes. On the bottom is a shot from 5x17 99 Problems which is I think the closest Sam and Cas physically get in these seasons before they ever hug. It’s more of a medium close-up than most of the scenes between Dean and Cas where they get that close. Lastly I have probably the tightest close-ups between Dean and Cas from 4x16 On the Head of a Pin. It’s similar to the shots from 4x02 but the context is pretty different with Cas trying to reassure Dean about the apocalypse. I know these don’t really have a theme but I thought they were good examples of the general pattern.
Finally I would like to point out a scene that is sort of the opposite which is the infamous staring scene in 4x21 When the Levee Breaks that goes on for like an hour. I don’t really know what to say about this scene only that I can’t believe it’s real. They literally just stand and stare at each other.
So what’s the point of all this? I honestly don’t really know. None of these observations are hard and fast rules and I’m sure there are times when other characters are shot like this. However, Dean and Cas seem to be the only ones consistently framed this way-tight close-ups, staring into each other’s eyes standing zero feet apart. What does it all mean? To me it shows that their bond is unique and special (profound you might say). It’s not even like they’re shot in a similar manner to love interests, it’s that their framing is unique, it stands out. Was it on purpose? Maybe. How shots end up looking is interesting because it really is the work of a lot of different people including the director, the cinematographer, the editors and more. I don’t think they were thinking “we should film Dean and Cas in this very intense way because they’re in love” or anything, but they obviously recognized there was something special between these two characters. And truly, the intentions don’t matter all that much to me. What’s there is there, and watching it the first time around I noticed how close Dean and Cas always were and watching it back post 15x18 all those shots stand out even more to me. There’s really no conclusion here, but I think it’s interesting to look a bit more closely at the cinematography in TV shows that we don’t always think of as having the highest quality production. There’s a lot of layers to be discovered outside of scripts and acting and things we tend to focus on more as viewers.

The End
A/N: Hey, okay, so this is my attempt at a re-write of one of my top five favorite episodes, including my OC. I don’t have very many of these, because re-writes are difficult and very time consuming. I do not claim Supernatural or Sam and Dean. Just my OC.
Faith sighed as she considered calling Gabriel, pacing in her motel room. Any minute, Dean would be headed to 2014 and meeting up with his future self. Being half angel, she didn't have the power to send herself.
"You rang?" his sultry voice penetrated the silence, earning Faith's attention. "I need your help to get to 2014, Gabriel." His brow arched as he crossed his arms over his chest. "Why?" he asked her, his eyes narrowing. "Because I know Dean's going, thanks to your douchebag brother, Zachariah. Look, he managed to let slip that I play some part in this pissing contest between Michael and Lucifer." Gabriel sighed and rolled his eyes.
"So, what? You want spoilers to see who wins?" he asked, pulling a sucker from his jacket. Faith squared her shoulders. "You owe me for that Wednesday Mystery Spot stunt you pulled," she reminded him, arching a brow. Gabriel smirked and shrugged. "Okay, okay, I hear you. Deal," he said and the humor faded from his features as he took her hands. "Be careful, Faith. My brother will not hesitate to take you off the board. Dean, he can't, but you're different."
"I'll be careful, Gabe, thank you." Gabriel snapped his fingers and in the blink of an eye, Faith could tell she was no longer in 2009. "Awesome," she breathed and headed out of the run down motel she was in, out onto the street. "Focus on finding Dean, Faith. Nothing else." As if on cue, she could hear heavy artillery being fired. "Dean," she said with a smile, and ran towards the noise. She ducked into a back alley and ran around the back of the building, able to see Dean. "Dean, come on! This way!" she called to him and smiled when he didn't question her.
"What are you doing here? Are you living here?" he asked. Faith shook her head. "Nope, I'm from 2009 just like you. And before you ask, I had help getting here, from a much nicer angel than Zach." she said, both of them relieved they were, for the moment, out of danger. "Who?" he asked. "Gabriel. The archangel," she told him with a shrug, not wanting to lie to him.
Think of him as my own personal Castiel." She smiled and nodded down the road. "Come on, we need to get to Bobby's house." "You knew about this? All of it?" he asked, the pair reaching an abandoned car. Soon, they were on the road. "I'm sorry, Dean, but I've told you, I can't tell you what happens down the road. I want to, believe me. But the angels will know, and as punishment, they'll make the outcome pretty damn bad." Dean sighed and licked his lips.
"What can you tell me?" he asked, gently. "Not much. Just vague details here and there, point you in the right direction. I'm sorry, Dean, I really am." Dean sighed and glanced over at her in the passenger seat. Licking her lips, Faith shrugged. "I can share irrelevant details. Who knows, maybe they'll help." Dean couldn't help but smile at her addition. "Faith, I know you're trying to help. Out of everybody, I've always been able to trust you. You've been there to help me these last few long weeks. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that." Faith smiled softly and touched his arm, and gently squeezed.
"You can always trust me, Dean, no matter what. I guess I can tell you this. You won't find Bobby at his house, but you still need to head in that direction." "Where's Bobby?" Dean asked, slightly confused. "I don't know. He might be dead, they never clarified. There was just a bloody bullet hole in his overturned wheelchair, which was just an implication. But you will find John's journal, which is important. For now, that's all I can tell you." Dean nodded before jumping at the sound of wings fluttering.
"You wanna explain why this abomination is here?" Zachariah scowled. Faith smirked. "Tour guiding. Dean, on the left, you'll see old rusty street signs, maybe abandoned buildings. And up ahead, we have Croatoan zombies because angels are too busy watching holy porn to do anything helpful." Dean smirked proudly at the girl beside him. "I knew I smelled your stink on this Back to the Future crap."
"President Palin defends bombing of Houston," Zachariah read, obviously ignoring Dean's jabs. "Certainly a buyer's market in real estate. Let's see what's happening in sports. Right, no more sports, Congress revoked the right to group assembly. What's left of Congress, that is. Hardly a quorum if you ask me," Zach rambled on to himself. Faith shook her head in the front seat at the angel behind them.
"How'd you find me?" Dean interrupted. "Had to tap some unorthodox resources. Human informants. We've been making inspirational visits to the fringier Christian groups. They've been given your image, told to keep an eye out." Dean's eyes slightly widened in realization. "The bible freak outside the motel. He, what, dropped the dime on me?"
"Onward Christian soldiers." "Good. You've had your jollies, now send me back, you son of a bitch." "Oh, you'll get back, all in good time. We want you to marinate a bit," Zachariah told him, ignoring the insult. "Marinate?" Faith and Dean asked in unison. "Three days, Dean. Three days to see where this course of action takes you." Faith rolled her eyes.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Dean asked, irritated. "That your choices have consequences. This is what happens to the world if you continue to say no to Michael." Faith glanced back at the paper he was holding up.
"Palin defends bombing of Houston?" she asked, then turned to Dean. "Dean, I say we hunt Sarah Palin down and exile her back to Alaska where she belongs. It'd be doing Houston a great service," she said, sarcastically, earning a chuckle from the eldest Winchester. Zachariah smirked and shrugged, clearly knowing something the two didn't. "Have a little look-see." With that, the angel was gone. Faith glanced over at Dean and smiled at his smirk. "I've always hated him. He's worse than Uriel, believe me." Soon, they were pulling up to Bobby's house, and slipped out of the car. "Bobby?" There was no answer. "Dean. No Bobby, remember?" Faith whispered. "Right," Dean replied and entered the house. Sure enough, Dean found Bobby's wheelchair with the bullethole. "I think you're right, Faith. I think he is dead. Where is everybody, Bobby?" he asked, quietly. "Hey, come here," Faith called to him, and held out John's journal. Dean took it and pulled out a picture, and glanced down at it, Bobby in the front of a group of men. "Camp Chitaqua." ************************ Dean and Faith snuck up on the encampment and noticed a rather familiar outline of Dean's beloved impala. "Oh, Baby." He took Faith's hand and led her to the broken down shell of a car. "No. Oh, no, Baby, what did they do to you?" All Faith could see was Dean go down before she was hit as well, everything going black around her.
************************* A ringing in her ears caused Faith to stir and look around before she saw Dean in front of her, and beside her. She tried to stand, but hissed as the cuffs chaffed her skin. Looking back at Dean, she licked her lips. "If I remember correctly, you should know who I am," he said, watching her as she nodded. "You're the 2014 Dean." He scoffed. "And what are you, exactly?" he asked, aiming the gun at her.
"You haven't tested me? I know you tested your past self over here," she nodded at the stirring Dean beside her, who looked up at his future self, then to Faith, and back after noting that she was okay. "What the hell?"
"I should be asking that question, don't you think? In fact, why don't you give me one good reason why I shouldn't gank you here and now?"
"Because you'd only be hurting yourself," Dean replied with a huff of laughter.
"Very funny." Future Dean moved back to his table of weapons.
"Look, man, I'm no Shapeshifter, or demon, or anything, okay?"
"Yea, I know. I did the drill on both of you while you were out. Silver, salt, holy water. Nothing. But you know what was funny, is that you had every lockpick, box cutter and switchblade that I carry. You wanna explain that? Oh, and the resemblance while you're at it."
"Zachariah," Dean said, simply. Future Dean's brow furrowed.
"You remember him, don't you?" Faith asked. "You should, Dean, since it was you sitting where this Dean is because of that dick angel," Faith told him, swallowing hard, earning his attention.
"That still doesn't explain how...." Future Dean's eyes widened slightly before they fell to the floor. Faith could tell he was thinking about something or someone. When his eyes met hers, again, all she could see was a heartbreaking sadness.
"You're not a monster, either, are you? You're the Faith from the past." Faith nodded, then glanced over at Past Dean and back. "I'm not sure I like that look." The future version broke eye contact, his hazel eyes blinking. He sighed, and rubbed his forehead.
"Can you...will you come with me?" he asked and moved towards her, unlocking her cuffs.
"Whoa, hey, you're just gonna leave me?" Past Dean asked as the two moved to the door. "Yes. I have a camp full of twitchy trauma survivors with an apocalypse hanging over their heads. Last thing they need to see is a version of the Parent Trap."
"You can at least uncuff me, man."
"No, absolutely not."
"Oh, come on. You don't trust yourself?"
"Absolutely not." Future Dean gently tugged on Faith's hand and led her out of his cabin and down a barely hidden pathway. "So, are you gonna tell me what this is about?" Faith asked. Dean turned to face her and without a word, pulled her into his arms and kissed her. Faith slowly melted into it and pushed her fingers through his hair. She then wrapped her arm around his neck and pulled back, breathing heavily. "Okay, I'm not sure I understand."
Dean swallowed hard and led her further down the private path. What got her attention was the name on the headstone. Her name. "Oh god," she whispered, unable to speak any louder. "Listen, I gotta go out on a mission right now. Stay here, and we'll talk when I get back."
******************* Faith had sat at what seemed to be her own grave for hours, unable to take her eyes off of it. Silent tears fell down her cheeks, unable to think about anything but how it might've happened. Either Croatoan or Lucifer? Every now and then, she would wonder about Dean. That kiss had seemed desperate, like he'd been dying to do it for awhile. Did they ever get together? If they did, how long before she died? Letting out a shaky breath, she let more tears fall. It wasn't much longer before she felt Dean standing behind her, and swallowed hard.
"When?" she asked, her voice cracking. "A year ago. In Chicago, I brought you here, gave you a hunter's funeral, and gave you a headstone. It was my way of seeing you when I needed to. Your ashes are in my cabin." Faith's eyes burned with unshed tears.
"How?" When he didn't answer her, she stood and turned to face him. "Dean, tell me." Dean let out a deep breath, his eyes falling.
"The Croatoan virus had spread all over, started in the Windy City. You and I headed there and got separated. Eventually, we reunited, both with a few people that had tagged along. Those people are here now, most of 'em anyway. We locked down an abandoned hotel and regrouped into two groups, and made a plan to go out and look for more survivors. After that, we moved out." He licked his lips, his brow furrowing. "When you and your group didn't show up at the rendezvous point, we went looking." He stopped and swallowed hard, biting his lip. "When-- when I found you, you were barely alive, and calling out for me. I picked you up and held you in my lap. You told me you loved me and that you'd always be with me."
Tears fell down his cheeks before he wiped his hand over his face, clearing his face of the tears, and sighed. "And I told you that I loved you, and it was over." Faith placed both of her hands over her mouth and let out a shaky breath, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I never should've let you go off on your own, Faith, I am so sorry. It was my fault." Faith shook her head and moved towards him, hugging him tightly.
"No, I'm sorry, Dean. Knowing me, I probably insisted." She felt him bury his face in her neck and gently squeeze her. "That's why you've barely been able to look at me. I remind you of the Faith you lost." He nodded, then opened his mouth to talk when Chuck appeared at the end of the trail. "Sorry, Dean, its time." Dean glanced at Faith and sighed, then smiled sadly as he took her hand and led her out, back to the cabin.
"Don't tell my version what you told me. I don't want him to worry about me. That'll just get him killed."
"I'm not worth that," Faith and Dean said in unison. "I knew you'd say that," he told her, glancing at her. He smiled for the first time since she'd arrived. "Is that a smile? I wasn't sure if you remembered how to do that." Dean then chuckled, and glanced at her. "I've missed you, sweetheart. All I think about anymore is what you would do, or say if you were here. And to God, I wish you were. I find myself talking to you sometimes, and I always wonder what you'd say."
He took her hand and gave it a squeeze before releasing her. Faith glanced up when the past version walked up to them. "Hey," she said, gently dropping Dean's hand, winking at him, then turned back to her version. "We going now?" she asked, earning a pointed stare and a nod. "Where were the two of you?" he asked, his eyes shifting between the two of them.
"Dean was just showing me what the future holds," she told him, being as vague as she could possibly be. Dean's eyes betrayed him, showing his curiosity, but Faith shook her head. "Not gonna happen," she told him, slightly smirking. "Trust me, I won't let this happen to us. Any of this." Faith watched the future version of Dean closely, especially his expressions and emotions, which were rare. But she couldn't blame him.
He'd lost everyone that had ever meant anything to him. The only people that made him happy. Swallowing hard, her eyes fell as she wasn't really paying attention to the conversations around her, and blinked when everybody but the two Deans filed out of the cabin.
******************** "We're loaded up and on the road by midnight," Future Dean ordered, followed by an "Alrighty," from Castiel. Faith let out a breath as she was overwhelmed by all the information she'd acquired. "Why are you taking me?" Past Dean asked, not seeing any reason for him to go. "Relax, you'll be fine. Zach's looking after you, right?" Dean asked, tossing firearms into a duffel bag.
"No, that's not what I mean," he said, earning his future self's attention. "I wanna know what's going on," he commanded. "Yea, okay." He rounded the table, his eyes flickering to Faith and back. "You're coming because I want you to see something. I want you to see our brother."
"Sam? I thought he was dead."
"Sam didn't die in Detroit, he said yes." Dean's face had hardened as he spoke, watching his other self put the puzzle together.
"Yes? Wait, you mean--"
"That's right, the big yes, to the devil. Lucifer's wearing him to prom." Faith could see the sting of a future betrayal in her Dean's eyes.
"Why would he do that?" he asked, swallowing thickly.
"Wish I knew. But now we don't have a choice. It's in him, and its not getting out. And we've gotta kill him, Dean."
"Could you really do that? He's in your brother, Dean," Faith intercepted, her eyes not holding anything but sadness and empathy.
"I know, and believe me, I don't want to," he said, and Faith could see just how heartbroken he truly was, before he turned his eyes back to Past!Dean. "And you need to see it, the whole damn thing, how bad it gets, so you can do it different."
"What do you mean?" Past!Dean asked.
"Zach was gonna bring you back, right? To '09?"
"Yea."
"When you get home, you say yes. You hear me? Say yes to Michael."
"That's crazy. If I let him in, then Michael fights the devil. Battle's gonna torch half the planet."
"Look around you, man! Half the planet's better than no planet, which is what we have now! If I could do it over, I'd say yes in a heartbeat."
"So why don't you?"
"I've tried. I've shouted yes til I was blue in the face. The angels aren't listening; they just left, gave up. Its too late for me, but for you..." Future Dean was pleading for his past self to go and save a world he couldn't.
"Oh no, there's gotta be another way."
"Yea, that's what I thought. I was cocky, never actually thought I'd lose. But I was wrong. Dean, I was wrong. I'm begging you. Say yes." The two stared at each other for a moment as Dean's future self regained his composure. "But you won't. Because I didn't. Because that's just not us, is it?" he asked, rhetorically. Faith swallowed hard as she watched the both of them, the tension in the room so thick, she could barely breathe.
****************** "Dean," Faith called and ran to catch up with the future Dean, gently taking his arm. "Hey, talk to me." Finally, gaining his attention, she took his hand. "Dean, let me tell you something. On the other side of the fence, where I'm from originally, you know what happens when one of these big fish rise up? You and Sam beat it, but you never do it as two douchebag angels. You take care of it as Sam and Dean Winchester. The two most badass amazing men I've ever known. Dean, you can't give up on Sam. Believe me, I wouldn't want that in any time period."
"Faith, its too late. I've tried talking to him through Lucifer. He's either too far gone, or he's refusing to listen to me," Dean said, defeated. "Sam's gone, he's just gone." Faith sighed and gently hugged him, threading her fingers into his hair, inhaling his scent with a sympathetic frown. ********************** "There. Second floor window. We go in there," Future Dean directed, looking back at the small group behind him.
"You sure about this?" Risa asked, her brow arched.
"They'll never see us coming." Present Dean's brow furrowed as well as Faith's as they both watched him. "Trust me. Now, weapons check, we're on the move in five."
"Hey, Dean. Can we talk to you for a sec?" Faith asked, but knew he would know she wasn't really asking. Both Deans and Faith split off and turned to face each other."
"Tell us what's going on." Past Dean demanded.
"What?"
"I know you. You're lying to these people, and to us."
"Is that so?" Future Dean asked, shifting his weight.
"Yea. See, I know your lying expressions, I've seen them in the mirror. There's something you're not telling us."
"I don't know what you're talking about." Faith watched him closely and looked up at her version of Dean.
"Really? I don't seem to be the only member of your posse with questions, so maybe I'll just take my doubts over to them," Dean threatened and took a step in that direction.
"Okay. Whoa, whoa, wait."
"What?" Dean asked, stopping and turning to face him.
"Take a look around you, man. This place should be white-hot with Crotes. Where are they?"
"They cleared a path for us, which means that this is--"
"A trap, exactly.
"Then we can't go through the front."
"Oh, we're not. They are." Dean and Faith's gazes hardened. "They're the decoys. You two and I are going in through the back."
"You mean you're gonna feed your friends into a meat grinder? Cas too?" Future Dean's eyes fell, and Faith could tell he hated his plan. "You wanna use their deaths as a diversion." Future Dean turned his head to the side and clenched his jaw. Past Dean turned his eyes to Faith before going back to himself. "Oh man, something is broken in you. You're making decisions I would never make. I wouldn't sacrifice my friends."
"Dean, stop." Faith turned to face him. "You wouldn't because you haven't lost every single person that's ever meant anything to you. You still have Sam, and me, and Bobby, and you're not the one about to kill his brother in order to save the world. Look at him. Can you honestly say, you wouldn't be as heartbroken and tired of caring as he is?" Both Deans stared at each other. "He's lost everyone, Dean. Everyone." Future Dean licked his lips as he moved his eyes to Faith and set his hand on her shoulder.
"These people count on you," he said, his voice gentle. "They trust you."
"They trust me to kill the devil and save the world, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do."
"No, not like this, you're not. I'm not gonna let you."
"Oh really?"
"Yea."
"Dean, stop." Faith hissed, but Dean was already unconscious on the ground. She turned to face Future Dean. "Would you please quit doing that?" she asked, her voice trailing off as the future version of Dean stepped closer to her and cupped her face in his hand, stroking her cheek with his thumb.
"Stay here, sweetheart. I can't lose you twice, and he's gonna need you. Like I did. And thank you, in advance. You were always there, even when I thought I didn't want you there. Just remember, you mean more to him than you think. He just doesn't realize it yet. Because I didn't. By God, I wish I had." He then swallowed thickly and smiled crookedly down at her before pressing his lips to her forehead in a tender kiss. "I love you, Faith. I'm so sorry, sweetheart. For everything, okay?" he asked, slowly backing away, and heading for the back once he was sure she'd stay.
Faith was in shock. She'd never expected Dean to say anything of an intimate nature to her. Taking a shaky breath, she forced her eyes down to the past version of the love of her life, even if he didn't know it yet. Slightly, she jumped at the sound of guns going off behind her. Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she knelt down and caressed his cheek. "Forgive me, Dean. I love you," she whispered, then ran after the future version.
******************** When Dean came to, he expected Faith to be there beside him, but grew nervous when he found she was nowhere near him. Getting up, he rubbed his eyes and called out to her, only to receive no answer. Running around the back, he swallowed hard at the sight in front of him. Faith was horrifically still off to the side, while his future self struggled under the weight on his neck from a white shoe. He could then hear the sickening sound of bones breaking causing his future self to grow still and his eyes to close.
"Oh, hello Dean," Lucifer!Sam said, turning to face the other Dean, earning his attention as Dean turned his attention to Lucifer. "Aren't you a surprise? You've come a long way to see this, haven't you?" Lucifer asked, appearing behind him. Dean turned, the heartbreak evident in his eyes.
"Well, go ahead. Kill me."
"Kill you? Don't you think that'd be a little..redundant? I'm sorry. It must be painful speaking to me in this..shape. But it had to be your brother. It had to be," he said, going to place his hand on Dean's shoulder. Dean stepped back out of reach. "You don't have to be afraid of me, Dean. What do you think I'm going to do?"
"I don't know, maybe deep-fry the planet?" Dean suggested, sarcastically.
"Why? Why would I want to destroy this stunning thing? Beautiful in a trillion different ways, the last perfect handiwork of God. Ever hear the story of how I fell from grace?"
"Good god, you're not gonna tell me a bedtime story, are you? My stomach is almost out of bile," Dean snarled, not wanting to listen to any more.
"You know why God cast me down? Because I loved him more than anything, and then God created you. The little hairless apes, and then he asked all of us to bow down before you, to love you more than him. And I said 'Father, I can't.' I said, 'These human beings are flawed, murderous'. And for that, God had Michael cast me into Hell. Now, tell me, does the punishment fit the crime? Especially when I was right. Look what six billion of you have done to this thing, and how many of you blame me for it?"
"You're not fooling me, you know that? This sympathy-for-the-devil crap? I know what you are," Dean whispered, angrily.
"What am I?"
"You're the same thing, only bigger. The same brand of cockroach I've been squashing my whole life. An ugly, evil, belly to the ground, supernatural piece of crap. The only difference between them and you, is the size of your ego." Lucifer smirked.
"I like you, Dean. I get what the other angels see in you. Goodbye, we'll meet again soon." Dean took the opportunity and moved towards Faith, kneeling beside her and checking for a pulse before scooping her up into his arms and getting to his feet. "You better kill me now," Dean called after him. Lucifer stopped and turned, his brow furrowing.
"Pardon?"
"You better kill me now, or I swear I will find a way to kill you, and I won't stop."
"I know you won't. I know you won't say yes to Michael either, and I know you won't kill Sam. Whatever you do, you will always end up here. Whatever choices you make, whatever details you alter, we will always end up, here. I win, so I win." Tears streamed down Dean's cheeks.
"You're wrong."
"See you in five years, Dean." Lightning flashed around Dean, and in Lucifer's departure arrived Zachariah, who placed two fingers upon Dean's head and set him back to his motel room. "Oh, well if it isn't the Ghost of Christmas Screw You," Dean commented and moved to lay Faith down on the bed. He covered her with his jacket and turned back to Zachariah.
"Enough, Dean, enough. You saw it, right? You saw what happens? You're the only one who can prove the devil wrong. Say yes."
"How do I know that this thing isn't one of your tricks, huh? Some angel hocus-pocus?" Dean growled.
"The time for tricks is over. Give yourself to Michael. Say yes and we can strike before Lucifer gets to Sam. Before billions die." Dean turned and his eyes moved to Faith. "Nah."
"'Nah'? You haven't learned your lesson?" Zachariah asked him.
"Oh I leaned a lesson, alright. Just not the one you wanted to teach."
"Well, I'll just have to teach it again, because I got you now, boy, and I'm never letting you--" Dean disappeared just then, and Faith smirked at Zachariah before she also disappeared. "Son of a..."
"Faith!" Dean called and helped the girl to stand. "You alright?" he asked, earning a nod.
"I will be. I just need to sleep and I'll be good to go." Dean nodded.
"We'll get a ride. Just gimme a minute, sweetheart. I'm just glad you're walkin and talkin." He smiled down at her before gently squeezing her shouder and turning to Castiel. "That's pretty nice timing, Cas."
"We had an appointment," the angel said, simply. "Don't ever change," Dean told him, his hand on the angel's shoulder. "How did Zachariah find you?" "Long story. Lets just stay away from Jehovah's Witnesses from now on, okay?" Dean asked, dialing Sam's number. "What are you doing?" "Something I should've done in the first place." ******************** "Hey, Dean. You okay?" Faith asked, sliding out of the back seat of the impala and coming to stand beside him, earning his attention and a warm smile. "Yea. How'd you sleep?" he asked. "Good, I feel better." Dean nodded and rubbed her back. "Good, you had me worried there for a minute."
"Nah, don't worry about me. I'll be okay. I'm with you, I'm safe." Dean smiled crookedly and leaned down and kissed her cheek softly. "I'm glad you're here, Faith, really. Thank you for staying close." Faith's cheeks tinted bright red as she cleared her throat. Dean turned at the sound of a car pulling up.
"I'll wait here, Dean. Go ahead, fix things with your brother." Leaning up, she kissed his cheek tenderly and gave his hand a gently squeeze. He winked at her, then went to meet his brother.
"Sam." Dean pulled the demon knife out and held it out to Sam. "If you're serious, you want back in, you should hang onto this. I'm sure you're rusty." The two of them sighed and took a beat. "Look, man, I'm sorry. I don't know whatever I need to be, but I was wrong." Sam nodded, his brow furrowed.
"What made you change your mind?"
"Long story. The point is maybe we are each other's Achilles' heel. Maybe they'll find a way to use us against each other, I don't know. I just know we're all we got. More than that, we keep each other human."
"Thank you. Really, thank you. I won't let you down." "Oh I know it. I mean, you are the second best hunter on the planet." Faith laughed quietly, not far behind Dean.
"So, what do we do now?"
"We make our own future," Dean answered his brother.
"Guess we have no choice," Sam sighed, earning a nod before the two of them made their way back to the Impala. Faith stood and moved to Sam, hugging him tightly. "Hey, Faith," he said, smiling and hugging her back.

Sigh. It’s quiet today, so I guess it’s about time to talk about 12x06: Celebrating the Life of Asa Fox.
This is an episode without Cas, so clearly it revolves entirely around Cas (I'm kidding, but only a little bit). It’s also a bottle episode and a meta writer’s wet dream, so excuse me while I nerd out - this is a long one to unpack, and I have spent too much time doing it for you. That’s ok because, as Sam says:
DIVE IN AFTER THE CUT BUDDIES!
The Asa montage is where we start.
Asa is a Dean mirror. The parallels are pretty clear - he’s a scruffy rough around the edges hunter, Mary is the reason he got into hunting, he wears a ton of flannel, etc. If you remain unsure, the writers throw this in at the very beginning in the montage of Asa’s life as a hunter So That You Know:
Bucky: Hey, you know they make new cars, right? Asa: I don’t want a new car. This is my lucky car.
***Canadian!Dean confirmed.
Shaine Jones may also be the Canadian Jensen Ackles.
I don’t make the rules ok?
Back in the US, the boys surprise Jody with a visit.
In case you forgot the episode prior to this one:
Side note: domestic Jody gives me life.
We’re clearly supposed to see how Jody is a mom figure for the boys, and it feels nice for them to have that, especially since Mary is Taking Some Space. Their entire dynamic warms even my cold black soul.
[romantic scene of a couple silhouetted against a sunset while sweeping music plays on Jody’s TV. The couple kisses.]
DEAN
[his mouth full of pizza] Jody, you watching some kind of chick flick here?
JODY
Well, Dean. I’m a chick.
Kim Rhodes YOU ARE A DELIGHT. A side note - I know this exchange is supposed to be funny, but I feel sad for Dean (who clearly is a rom com chick). This is a perfect example of Dean struggling to present some fabricated image of heteronormative masculinity that’s not the heart of who he actually is. His surprise that a “badass sheriff chick” can also enjoy rom coms makes me fucking upset.
ALSO:
Anyway, Asa has passed on and the boys tag along with Jody to the wake in support.
SAM
Yeah, no, Jody. We… we know you’ll be fine, but… you know, we never go to hunter gatherings, outside of bars. Dad always said they were trouble, so…
DEAN
Yes, you’d be doing us a favor if you let us tag along.
***more receipts that John Winchester was an isolating abuser. They could have at least had a normal HUNTER life and friends who hunted.
SAM
That is a big house. [Music continues playing, coming from inside the house now]
***We now establish one “theme” of the episode.
JODY
Family home. Asa was just a guy.
AKA pretty brutal implication that Asa didn’t have a family of his own.
Speaking of implications:
[Jody removes her coat and the three of them begin mingling. Dean finds his way to the kitchen and a cooler full of beer] DEAN
No label. Well, that’s a red flag.
****LOL WHAT THE FUCK IS THE REASON****
....
....
....
GIRL SEND HELP
Enter Bucky, who is actually (SPOILER!) the villain of the episode.
Do all hunters just walk around with this manly flannel/weird symbolic necklace combo? Looking at you Bucky and Dean.
Dean is surprised to find that people know who he is:
But doesn’t seem to have an issue with it until -
***Someone who just bragged the entire five hour car ride about killing Hitler shouldn’t be this concerned about what people are saying about him right?
Or is he thinking it may involve something he isn’t comfortable sharing - since apparently there are things Dean doesn’t feel comfortable sharing as established by the prior couch conversation with Jody? Hmmmmmm...
***Compare the expressions. The “you’ve died four times” response is the same as the smug/proud “I killed Hitler” face. The reaction to the “stories” is the “hey this is my personal business” reaction Dean had to Sam’s Japanese erotica art form comment. He is thinking specifically about something personal.
I wonder what it could be.
I don’t think any one had to teach Max Banes the art of seduction, but also thank you.
Also, manifesting Dean being raised by Max and Alicia’s Cool Witch Mom instead of John Trash Winchester. Because that’s what we’re supposed to think here, correct? Two sibling hunters usually present a brother mirror.
Worth noting Sam’s surprise that witches can also be hunters. The John Winchester Bigotry Brain Rot runs deep. (GOD the Sam-witch thing would have driven him crazy I LIVE FOR THAT).
Dean escapes to Asa’s office/room and proceeds to go through his things.
[Dean is in Asa’s office and finds an angel blade mounted on blue velvet inside an ornate glass-lidded box. He opens it, reaches in and pulls out the angel blade, comfortably spinning it in his hand when Sam walks in.]
SAM
Hey.
DEAN
Oh, hi. This is a real Angel Blade. I mean, this guy was legit.
***that’s weird, why does Canadian!Dean have an angel blade? We haven’t heard anything about angels yet, and it wasn’t in the opening montage. Hmmmmmm, I say. Hmmmmmmm...
***Sam is also concerned about The Stories They Tell
This one particularly:
Honestly I don’t know why he’s THAT surprised that people know he was possessed by Lucifer? Didn’t he start like multiple apocalypses? That’s something people tend to be in the know about. Anyhoo.
DEAN
Yeah. Apparently we’re a little bit legendary.
SAM
Yeah, but, I mean, so was Asa. Then a hunt went bad, and he ended up hanging from a tree, alone in the woods.
DEAN
He died on the job. No better way to go.
SAM
You really believe that?
DEAN
Yeah. What, you don’t? I mean, come on, Sam, it's not like we're in the “live till you're 90, die in your sleep” business. This? [Dean points at Asa’s hunting wall] This only ends one way.
***Insert deep internal screaming about 15x20 here***
It’s Jody’s turn to be uncomfortable as we find out she and Asa were more than just friends and everyone knew it and Said Things About It and Told Stories About It.
HMMMMMMM...
Dean is surprised that Jody not only enjoys rom coms, but ruggedly hot men. Another thing they have in common.
As Dean comes to terms with the idea that Jody can be a mother figure and also a human person with a life and her own feelings and needs and thoughts, enter the person whom said lesson is actually about:
This is a Kim Rhodes Facial Expression stan account now.
So cute how Jody knows immediately that Dean is not okay. Time to reach:
JODY
Huh. Is that why you spent the entire ride up here telling me in extreme, excruciating detail how you killed Hitler, but, uh, you neglected to mention the fact that your mom is back from the dead?
***look, it’s another Dean doesn’t like others knowing personal information parallel!***
DEAN
Yeah, no big deal.
JODY
That’s a lie.
DEAN
JODY …
JODY
Look, maybe this isn't my place, and this is epic stuff, but
JODY
Yeah. Because what if I’ve changed. What if they changed? What if it just didn’t work out the way I wanted? If you wanna talk about anything
***Killing Hitler used yet again to show Dean doesn’t care about oversharing hunting stories, but he doesn’t like for people to know personal ones. Also, Jody mentions her son and her husband. Her family and her romantic partner.
Dean wasn’t just reunited with Mary this season. He was also reunited with Cas, after saying goodbye to him at the end of Season 11 when he headed to what he thought was going to be his death as the Amara-bomb.
So, this conversation isn't just about Mary (the “anything”). It’s also about Cas (the”...absolutely anything”).
Mary chats with Mama Fox and more Points Are Made about hunters not getting to have a “normal life” or family:
MARY
I saved his life.
LORRAINE
[scoffing] What am I supposed to say to that? After you, Asa got so… Hunting was his whole life. He never married. Never had a family, kids. And now… enjoy the wake.
***sending Mary on a guilt spiral about Asa (mirroring her other guilt spiral about hunting as a life for her own sons)
Speaking of mirrors:
BUCKY
And Asa loved that Jeep. Fuses were shorted, fuel line was busted. Ah, he didn’t care. He’d just roll up his sleeves, he’d get right to work.
Time to learn about today’s Big Bad.
BUCKY
Jael. He’s a crossroads demon. And he hangs people. It’s his thing. Snaps their neck, slits their throat. He’s a real piece of work.
***Wait a second. Jael is a demon? Don’t...angel’s names usually end in “el” in SPNverse?
Samandriel.
Uriel.
Gabriel.
Raphael.
Gadreel.
Castiel.
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Anyways the demon [questionable] killed Asa and now everyone is trapped and also In Grave Danger.
BUCKY
Exactly. Right, so five years later, Jael– he came back, and he came for Asa.
JODY
How so?
BUCKY
Asa was seeing this woman, right? She had a kid.
LORRAINE
Marlene.
BUCKY
Yeah, Marlene. Jael got into her. It didn’t matter that he was killing people, he wanted Asa to know it was personal. He gets off on it.
***that’s so weird, didn’t someone else in the show start seeing a woman with a kid -
what a sexy little coincidence.
oh and didnt a supernatural being come back right around that time too -
HMMMMMMMM. No killing though. That’s the difference between angels and demons, I guess.
(meanwhile Dean has been drinking alone outside - as he does, and is realizing he can’t get back in)
HI QUEEN
Also, this immediately took me to
this show isn’t fair.
****sob break****
Jael Posession 1:
So curious how there are two siblings and then one gets possessed by something Satanic and the other one is good at seducing men.
SO FUCKING CURIOUS.
Jael Possession 2:
Elvis. Random. Though he was the guy who brought up the Stories Sam Was Surprised Were Circulating -
He was also oddly interested in it. Methinks Elvis thoroughly enjoyed the Jael possession.
Bilie gets Dean back in the house. The words “one-time deal” are said a lot of times.
BONUS: Jensen why are you so pretty:
The hunters get to work, and I live for Max Bane’s pentagram aesthetic.
MAX
I like a Fifth Pentacle of Mars. It’s got more character.
***TBH, same.
Jael possession 3:
****Kim Rhodes is even better when she is playing evil.
JODY/JAEL:
I had so hoped you’d kill your mom. Wouldn’t that be a riot?
[Mary draws the angel blade and charges at Jody. She cuts Jody’s arm before Sam wrestles her away.]
SAM
No! Mom!
MARY
What are you doing?! She’s a demon. We kill demons.
******WOOF MARY - I REPEAT TO YOU THAT THE JOHN TRASH WINCHESTER BRAIN ROT RUNS DEEP.
Also did you immediately flash back to this with me?
Gets me thinking that Dean’s feelings for Cas are made twice as complicated by the fact that he is also a supernatural creature. Another Reason Why John Winchester Would Disapprove.
****Just as he would Disapprove of Sam Being Possessed By the Devil and all that (never forget he told Dean to kill him because of the whole made unclean by demon blood thing).
Right on cue:
JODY/JAEL
Oh, I have heard so many stories about you Winchesters. And I desperately want the Lucifer thing to be true.
***Stories again. Jael proceeds to go into Stories That Are Dark Personal Shameful Secrets:
JAEL
As for the rest of you, I have been inside your heads. I know all about you. For example, the twins. Too frightened to tell anyone that they actually came to say goodbye to their daddy. Or the grieving mother who hated the fact that her son was a hunter so much she’d hide his gear, she’d sabotage his Jeep, anything to keep him from hunting. Not that it worked. Could’ve tried harder, huh?
[She gestures at her own face] And this meatsuit you all seem to care so much about. She actually fantasized about a life with Asa. Can you believe that? Like that worthless man–
***HMMMMMMMMM
[Bucky gets off the floor and sneaks up behind Jody/Jael]
BUCKY
Shut your filthy mouth.
[Jody/Jael grabs Bucky by the neck and forces him to his knees]
JODY/JAEL
And you. Bucky. Brave, brave Bucky. I was there that night. Tell these nice, stupid people what you did. Tell them what you took from me. Asa was mine.
***Excuse me? THIS IS GETTING VERY...subtextual. A dark timeline supernatural being/hunter relationship [ending badly because demons only know how to take, consume and possess]? ...Asael? CURIOUS.
They chant the exorcism, a different hunter doing each iteration (beautifully done)
and send Jael back to hell, but not before Bucky shares his Shameful Story - he’s the one who killed Asa.
Elaboration:
BUCKY
Asa, he was just all– he was just always so stubborn. Look, we were in the woods. [We see the scene play out as Bucky describes it] Jael, he… he was taunting him. Asa wanted to chase him, but he didn’t have the angel blade. I said, “Let’s go back.” He called me a coward, and he shoved me, so I shoved him back, and he fell. He hit his head. Asa? I didn’t mean to do it. But it was a mistake. Asa. Asa? An accident. I’m sorry. I didn’t know what to do. Asa hated that damn demon so much that I just…
DEAN
Oh, you thought people would buy that Jael killed him? So you hung your best friend to cover your own ass.
BUCKY
What are you gonna do to me?
ALICIA:
Tell everyone, every hunter we meet. They’re gonna know your name, Bucky. Know what you did.
MAX
You like stories. This is the story everyone’s gonna tell about you. Forever.
***Shameful Stories that Define You, what a theme. Also, definitely a supernatural being potentially having some subtextual feelings for Canadian!Dean. Hmmm.
***Funeral pyre and side discussion about how Asa did have a family, and children, and a potential supernatural sidepiece.
In conclusion, Supernatural is a love story. Thank you for watching this dark timeline/Canadian dub. You’re dismissed for the day. Go eat bacon.

Behind The Scenes Video
youtube
Ignore the fact that I accidentally watermarked it with the number 519...
The Case & Deckerstar
Now we can start with the case of the week.
The murder happens at Golf n Stuff which is rather popular due to the scenes that were shot there for The Karate Kid. Rafferty was actually giddy over that.
So we have a murder. After over 70 episodes we know that the case of the week is somehow connected to the main plot and that it leads to a resolving of Lucifer’s issues or at least a small or big breakthrough.
The victim in this case was burned to death or at least he was… charred. A bit like how Mum ‘enlightened’ Jared in 2x17 but worse.
(In order to make sure most bts are included I have put them in the same file in their original resolution and you need to open the image and zoom. You can do it from your PC, MAC or mobile)
The mini golf has several fun statues like knights and pirates but what was not supposed to be there was the figure at the hole where nearby the victim was found. To be more You might have guessed it has many teeth by the photo and the answer is, it’s a reddish dragon head.
Back in December I came across the props building it and I thought it was cool but I wasn’t aware it was for Lucifer as the account is not affiliated with our crew or production. So imagine my surprise when a friend told me about what she had seen on the lot and going through the archived bts I found the victim photo as well.
You may have noticed it but in two particular episodes more dragons made their appearance. First it was at the second showrunner’s office in 503. There we see a dragon impelled by a sword, it seemed really out of place but I then correlated it with Baphament’s blade which is a representation of Azrael’s blade.
Later on I saw something else. In 508 Pete’s apartment had shelves dedicated to dragon figures as well as some knights. All along I was wondering can I even meta about that? What can it symbolise if it means anything at all? For some reason all I could think was the movie ‘Dragonheart’.
But let’s assume they have laid some hints, so far we have seen that they go very basic on bible and comic material so it’s funny how dragon-like Lucifer was presented in Series 3 of the black label of DC/ vertigo. But there are also more tidbits.
Now in 1x12 you all remember the Angel who was defeating a very Lucifer-looking Satan?
That was a prop. But it is derived by the work of Guido Reni ‘Michael and Satan’ (1636) Who was in turn influenced by Raphael’s painting ‘St. Michael Vanquishing Satan’ (1518) and if we go to Raphael’s early works... St. Michael (1504-1505)
Anyways!
The investigation of this ‘week’s’ case has its usual suspect chase which leads us to an arcade where we can spot some members of the crew doing rounds with the go-carts on that location. What I do know is that we are looking for someone young as far as guest posts go but other than that not much is known. The case seems to be progressing slowly but at some point the murderer appears to want to skip town so the leads bring us to L.A.’s train Union Station.
We also have scenes at the precinct during the case as we have seen from Aimee’s bts but not much is known there.
Now the suspect might be played by the elusive guest of this episode John Clover whose appearance was posted on Reddit and had sparked the first speculations over the title of the episode.
We should now wonder whether the theme of this episode’s case which takes us to gaming areas has anything to do with how Lucifer views his Father’s appearance in the mid-season finale and whether it will provide him with a resolution to not act in a rush way. The same after all happened with Mum.
Do not forget that Lucifer in Season 2 and especially at the beginning with Mum and when he thought Earl Johnson was his Father, Lucifer’s plans changed as his vengeance turned to a slow paced questioning over why their relationship deteriorated.
For an Angel who was ‘forced’ - not yet clarified so let’s not take that for granted- to punish the guilty Lucifer seems to be more merciful, understanding and open to explanations in the long run especially with the people who wronged him. Amenadiel, Michael, Uriel, Azrael, Mum, and Earl ‘God’ Johnson.
As Amenadiel said in the Pilot Lucifer away from Hell showed restrain and mercy… Perhaps it is true that we cannot escape from what we truly are. In any case that’s meta talk!
Back to the Union Station.
In the train station we have a bts where we can see Chloe and Lucifer chasing the suspect and from the photos and videos outside of it we can safely say they are successful on apprehending the murderer.
Now a funny incident was that during the shooting the area was closed to the actual travelers but somehow a Japanese tourist ended up sitting where the background actors were. No idea if it was her Pizza or it was given by the craft service but the girl was obviously bewildered on what was happening. It’s the little absurdities of life I guess…
It seems though as a lighthearted episode at first...
Do not be mistaken, the writers, cast and showrunners have revealed that in S5P2 we enter the emotional and equally dark (In P1 I missed the darkness aside from Pete of course) part of this season. It means that by the end of 5x09 as we roll on the last minutes of this episode, Lucifer is heavily conflicted and a resolution is needed, one that seems to be somewhat provided.
Since P1 I thought it would be weird to have Deckerstar break up for effect, in order to break us, especially since S5 was supposed to be the last season and S6 is effectively from what they imply (again cast and showrunners) an epilogue. So do not expect Deckerstar to break up but on the contrary as we saw Lucifer and Chloe in 507 they pull each other back up.
It is why I’m wondering what will be unraveled after the arrest of 5x09’s murderer.
The end of the episode takes us at night to L.A.’s Grand Park. The Grand Park is across the City Hall by the way, and for the Christmas season it was decorated with a Christmas tree made out of light bulbs.
In the bts the prominent colour of that tree is deep lilac. That’s where our next Deckerstar moment will unravel. We should also be ready for the Lucifer Universe to acknowledge yet another holiday of the human world, Christmas!
A tiny break here but you should remember that on each side of the elevator we have two bronze plates depicting the transfer of Christ after he was taken down dead from the Cross. So in the most discrete of ways Lucifer’s Universe has acknowledged Christ and perhaps it was because before the Sumerian text set Amenadiel as the favourite son, in Season 1 and for the majority of S2 we knew Lucifer as the favourite one.
On the cross Christ (no I didn’t write Lucifer at first :P) according to the scripts in a moment of lapsed faith “Father, Father why do you abandon me?”. In a way we might meta that for 516 but also for what Lucifer has experienced so far and has so eloquently expressed in 3x11 and in 1x09.
But back to the Deckerstar moment…
It takes place on the ‘balcony’ above the fountain as the purple Christmas tree is behind them. The setting happens at night and provides the place for our characters to talk, to open up and perhaps even express certain fears but also be urged to take advantage of the current circumstances.
From my perspective is the scene of a couple that talks a difficult matter but at the end of that talk they know each has the other’s back so they can step forward, take that chance and their partner will always be there to catch them if they fall. It is also how we will experience Lucifer finally opening up without Linda probing him. But whatever comes forward also gives space to truths and a realisation which will break our Devil as we have seen from the bts of the next episodes.
We might even have an understanding why ‘I love you’s’ are difficult for Lucifer and for Chloe to also realise that. We might even get Lucifer to say it. Here is to hoping…
On a final note. Maze in this episode seems to have gone MIA but many times we do not see the bts of every scene so all we have is Lesley-Ann’s bts from her trailer during that time. Also do not forget how things ended in 508. Maze did betray Lucifer and with God on Earth...
The Dinner
This episode is expected to open back to the precinct. The reason is because it is a mid-season finale which means that the in between scenes are not implied but also because of some spoilers we had back in December.
As you remember the actress who played officer Cacuzza had posted on Twitter that she and Lauren were in a ‘very small’ room which had just been painted. That room we can safely say is the ‘evidence room’ and that Cacuzza managed finally to find a way to close the surveillance in order to take a nap.
Now do remember that back in S4 Cacuzza was also the officer who let Lucifer ‘sample’ the drug busts… I’m not sure if that will come back somehow but we do know that Cacuzza will appear later this season, whether alive or not is yet to be seen.
What we do know is from the clues that were given by the actress.
1) She will be in the same room as Chloe meaning we will revisit the evidence room once Dad arrives and perhaps it will be a comic moment? Perhaps a random human will figure things out? But what was interesting is that according to the bts photo we see the actress and Lauren in their own clothes while Dennis is in his ‘Dad/God’ clothes.
2) Both Chloe and Officer Cacuzza were supposed to act distressed and shaken. If we take the ‘I love you’ element from that scene for Chloe let’s remember that the evidence is suddenly a bit of a mess. A glass has broken, the sound and effect will be heard once the time has started running again and they are two cops in a room with no idea of what is happening outside. So perhaps the shaken and distressed effect comes before they open the door (or walk out) and are sure there is no imminent threat.
3) In my opinion in this episode Cacuzza has some lines no matter how brief they might be.
Now the question here is how to proceed.
We obviously have a Family Dinner from which only two bts exist.
If we assume that the Family Dinner is arranged after the brothers have hid their wings and then Dad has met Linda then the dinner is set up by a very flabbergasted Linda.
youtube
I do expect Linda to bow by the way and for this dinner to bring some elements from 1x10 Pops. For this speculation I’ll include the video of the scene from that episode and I’ll try to tie them up with 5x09.
All the episodes in P2 are meant to do a full circle and the writers have based most of their storytelling on the events of S1 and S2.
So first the spoilers of what we know from 5x09 and then the ties we may find with 1x10 and some more past episodes.
The 11 minutes are quite long but is it really all things concerning?
Henderson tweeted that there will be 5 actors but as we know know Ellis plays two characters which is why the dinner scene may have taken three days to shoot so we should count six people at the Dinner Table.
The location will be (most probably) at Linda’s house as we have seen from a bts that her main table is full of different varieties of fruits and food in an attempt to recreate an Olympian affluent meal. For Linda is only normal to be out of her element and try to impress God. So far she has been almost killed by his ex, has a child that can be snatched away to the Silver City if she is not deemed worthy perhaps or even because of Charlie’s half genetic code.
Remember there was a stand in actor for Michael
The problem Linda also faces is that she has supported Lucifer. Yes, he is her friend but how will God react to that? Having a human siding with His rebellious son? Linda as it has been written knows how far pissed off celestials can go and I’m sure she remembers Lucifer’s agony and fear over his Father where Chloe was concerned. So she tries, really tries to present a wonderful setting for the grandfather of her child.
So we do have Linda in the mix. Obviously God, Amenadiel, Lucifer and Michael. That makes us five characters and four actors. Little Charlie also makes an appearance as far as I’m aware as the twin babies were on set and that also contributes on why the scene took so long to be shot. However the babies do not count as the sixth character. Chloe though does.
In short we have:
Linda
God/Dad
Amenadiel
Lucifer
Michael
Chloe
and
Charlie
Another thing we should take into account for this scene is Rafferty’s posted script page of the midseason finale.
While Amenadiel and Lucifer appear shocked and in awe, Michael seems rather pleased. I mean he literally ‘Grins with excitement’.
Amenadiel in 5x03 said that the only one who was talking to the throne meanwhile Henderson as far as I remember in one of the post P1 interviews, revealed that God and Michael have a relationship that Lucifer wishes he had with Him. D.B on one of the virtual cons (or ET interview. I have issues with keeping track of them now) have said that the scene at the family dinner would be gut wrenching and absolutely fall down hilarious’.
So in this dinner we will get to know our characters more and as Ildy and Henderson have said Lucifer will go back being a 14 year old at the Thanksgiving table. That perhaps is the reason why the script episodes 510 and 511were reversed. The last time that had happened was in S1 in order for Lucifer’s vulnerability to not come too soon in the season. In the case of these two episodes I believe it has to do with Lucifer’s emotional state but also the constant collisions he will have with his father in the Family Dinner but also during the Musical episode.
Another aspect to consider is that if 5x09 reminds us a lot of 1x10 -Pops right now and 5x10 the Musical episode is directly influenced by 2x16 - God Johnson.
The next section will now be dedicated to a quick recap of 1x10 - Pops and the possible connection to Michael and his story.
Michael in 5x09 teases Chloe as she is kept captive that there is a bigger plan and ‘Spoiler Alert’ it will be EPIC. That can be left alone as a promise to see more of that plan in S5P2 but before we go forward we should also go back in 2x04 - Weaponiser.
Do you see the parallel? How far Uriel’s view of the ‘Patterns’ could go was always a meta I couldn’t crack. Sure Michael hinted as per one Anon hinted on Tumblr that Michael might have been the one to urge Uriel on Earth to kill Mum and hopefully Lucifer as well. It is also perhaps why we were reminded of Azrael’s Blade in 5x03 - Diablo with Baphament’s blade, the only blade that could kill the Devil. Perhaps that was Michael’s plan back then but it didn’t work out.
But is Michael the big villain? According to the showrunners no. There are more things happening but Michael has a reasoning, has a story, one that explains his deformity and is the hero of his own story as all the other season ‘villains’ so far were. Mum, Amenadiel, Malcolm, Kinley, even Cain.
What the Interviews say about Michael:
Beginning with the parallel between the dinner we had in 1x10’s dinner and plot, and in what may have in episode 5x09 I would like to remind you-
- at this point I have censored some spoilers, not speculations, spoilers for episodes of P2 that will not be added in the S&S -
I’ll return to this topic and explore it thoroughly as the S&S are written but for now remember that 1x10 might tell us more than what we think right now and it might take us as a point of reference even up to 5x16.
Between 1x10 and 5x09 we can also wonder what are God’s intentions, can we attribute them all to Michael’s manipulation or it goes beyond that because the showrunners have promised us an emotional P2. I do believe issues are addressed and Lucifer will have to come face to face with some hard truths without that meaning that Dad was always right.
In the Pilot - wait.. Pilot? Yes, 5x09 is an episode that slowly builds us to the very end. There are spoilers and references that need to be addressed from past and future episodes before and after 5x09.
We need to address that in the Pilot, Lucifer told Delilah the very truth he uttered to Linda where he was concerned in S4 (4x08). God has nothing to do with your mess. Like Delilah, Lucifer was putting the blame to others, circumstances and even questioned God. He was wasting his eternal life and his talent, which he eventually found in crime solving.
youtube
On cue we get to the scene with Chloe asking God what she is doing to a bar with Lucifer. And what follows is Chloe telling Lucifer how she saw things differently from everyone and she paid for it. That story for me at least rings a bell.
youtube
We still do not know why Lucifer was cast out, the actual reason. No matter the sexescapeding with Eve or the rebellion what was the core of all that acting out as Linda called it in season 2? Whatever it was if we go back to 3x11 we will see that Chloe in the Pilot is basically Lucifer in 3x11.
They feel alone, misjudged and while Chloe tries to move on and later in S1 finds what actually happened, in Lucifer’s case he gives up on waiting for forgiveness from his Father until Michael comes, and tells him that even his Fall was a manipulation.
In Pops Lucifer asked something very interesting what did the sous chef wanted? And the answer was to surpass Pops. I do wonder if that’s what Lucifer wanted in a way and of course Michael on Lucifer’s expense. Two ‘children’ fighting for attention but only one was groomed to take over.
Speaking of taking over at the end of the episode of 1x10 we learn that Pops despite what Junior had done still had his son in his mind for taking over the restaurant. Pops believed in his son but allowed him space to grow eventually when everything failed.
If you remember Zadkiel’s spoiler we see that in 5x15 for some reason Lucifer wants to re-join the Host. That aside from a reconciliation shows that like Junior, Lucifer for his own reasons - we do not know what has happened but we will go back to that in the S&S of 5x15 - wants what divine power has to offer.
What happens next is again interesting -censored-. I just want you to see how we do not deal with standalones but everything progresses towards a point, a familiar yet innovative point for the series.
In episode 2x01, Lucifer asks mockingly an offended Chloe who did she thought he took after, his Dad? That happened because Lucifer believed to have taken more after his mother but as we know genetics is a funny thing, Celestial genetics even more so.
God’s absence from Lucifer’s life shaped him. He did drove Lucifer to become something he wasn’t but after 4.5 seasons can we claim that Lucifer and God are nothing alike?
Maze I believe was spot on on the similarities God and Lucifer held.
Lucifer believes in justice, in truth and is able to love. He has been more of an Angel than any non fallen Angel has ever been so far.
Amenadiel tricked a dead human to kill Lucifer thus condemning him again in Hell however as we know from Charlotte’s case a redemption was not impossible.
Uriel wanted to kill his mother and wouldn’t hesitate to kill Chloe in the process. Azrael is basically a liar and manipulator, Remiel would gleefully cut open a human for their half-celestial baby while Michael is really-really messed up.
So what has happened?
Like with Junior, Lucifer was pushed by his Father to become the man he is today. And Lucifer likes what he is, who he is because he sees the change and is even afraid of not being real when that change is questioned or exposed to him.
youtube
The same happened with Amenadiel, once he decided to embrace humanity and brotherhood. He changed for the better and became more ‘angelic’.
So yes, Junior’s story does apply to Lucifer on many levels. But Junior didn’t have that dinner with his Father, Lucifer will as they will do two more of his siblings. Some will be hurt, some will feel betrayed and some may walk out.
Which brings us to a very big question.
Was Mum truthful when she said to Lucifer, his Dad wanted to destroy him? If the answer is yes, how will both deal with that? Because Lucifer may have not totally believed Mum.
If that answer comes to play we should consider it as the common question children come forward to when they learn they were not planned or their parents had opted at first to have an abortion. The fact that they didn’t get on with the abortion or had willingly made a child does affect their feelings towards that child now? Do they regret it? Do they want what that child has become?
These are all tough questions and sometimes the answers are not easy either. Mainly because humans like celestials with human emotions as it seems, are secure and balanced only with the totality of a circumstance. Everything or nothing, the rest in between are not welcome and it’s bound to hurt.
Finally, on this 1x10 weird reminisce. Can we say that Lucifer will be allowed in the end to create something that represents him? I think he may but more about that in 5x16 S&S.
Probably the story will not end with redemption but with Lucifer finally becoming his own person one that resembles a lot of Dad and Dad may accept or even encourage that path. That does not mean he will start anew though
Which brings us back to the adversary of 1x10 - Pops. The sous chef believed that Junior was not worthy of his father’s tolerance and reward so she made sure to destroy his reputation and went as far as trying to kill him. That sounds a lot like Michael.
Michael’s speech towards Maze about what was happening in the Silver City in 5x02 did echo the sous chef words:
So we should wonder if Michael will succeed to a point to ruin Lucifer’s chances and leave Lucifer live with the consequences in the end as our hero learns to move on from whatever injustice happened or the writers will provide a catharsis.
And a final question here… Is Amenadiel really the favourite son? I somehow doubt that, perhaps I’ll be proved wrong as in many interviews Henderson has gone back to Amenadiel’s arc as he learns he is the ‘favourite’ and so far he has not said anything to contradict the belief 2x17 brought to us with so many translated Sumerian words.
But as we said teh Dinner will not be cathartic on the contrary so does that mean that Lucifer eventually walks away? Probably.
At the photos that were posted near Christmas we have two bts one crystal clear and the other more hazy which shows Lucifer at the Penthouse and Dad being there in his white cardigan. I do suspect that meeting at the penthouse happens after the dinner but it does not resolve things between Father and son. it is also possible that it’s why we need the very emotional scene from the musical to be moved forward and 511 script to become 5x10 aired episode.
Perhaps the comment on it’s not just Lucifer who hits the keys was referring to Dad and not Maze in 5x01.
Although we cannot be sure on what will happen in the penthouse and whether Scarlet was meant to join that scene or simply was on set for the day (highly probable) for another scene, we do know that in this episode we had a LUX night. A most perhaps unconventional one.
By this point you know that the writers are ready to address everything or at least make parallels and so somehow we have one with 1x09 - A Priest Walks Into A Bar. This time however it is seems like God Walks Into His Son’s Bar.
If the camera is clear enough we can see God (?) talking to a white person. I would have loved it if it was Dan but I cannot tell for sure.
Whether that visit happens before or after the family dinner I believe it may happen before as the clothes Dennis wore at the lot around that time were different from the white we saw him appear with in the end of 5x08. Of course that does not say much as we will see Dad in the same/similar white clothes in at least three different episodes in Part 2.
Therefore in the conclusion of this S&S we should speculate that the Dinner is placed at the middle of the episode and a resolution is reached for Deckerstar in the end of the episode but Lucifer’s turmoil did fit better through the musical episode hence the change.

Re-reading the scene between War and Uriel from the Abomination Vault right now to get (deeper) in the mood for drawing and so much of it is just utterly hilarious if you know what else is going on in the Darksiders universe before and after this:
Standing between him and the weapon was a single angel, her face a mask of determination. She held a blade nearly the size of Chaoseater in both hands, and her armor gleamed in the light.
She was also the youngest angel War had ever seen, barely out of adolescence.
“Does Abaddon employ children as sentinels now?” the Horseman asked.
Her features, if anything, grew harsher still. “I am not a child. I am Ghauniel’s finest student!”
“And Ghauniel is …?”
“Guarding the corridor.” Her voice shook, despite her obvious efforts against it.
“Ah. And he never expected you to actually see battle on this assignment, did he? That’s why he stuck you here, in the safest room.”
“Maybe, but I know my duty. And you will not pass while I live.”
War found himself smiling, though he struggled to hide it—for the sake of the young angel’s pride, more than anything else. “What’s your name?” he asked her.
“Uriel.”
“Well, Uriel, I’ve no interest in killing children, and you have to know you’ve no chance. Stand down, and let me do what I must. Nobody will blame you.”
“I know my duty,” she repeated stubbornly.
“So be it.”
Uriel hurled herself across the room with a fearsome cry, wings propelling her like a living missile.
War knocked her sword aside with Chaoseater, then blasted it from her hand with a point-blank shot across the blade from the Redemption cannon. Uriel staggered, half blinded and buffeted by the detonation. She was completely open, and War was never one to let an opportunity pass him by.
Yet, at the last instant, he turned Chaoseater on edge, so that it was the flat of the blade that cracked across Uriel’s temple. She dropped in a heap, but she breathed still. War could almost hear the weapon wailing its disappointment.
“You have spirit, girl. Given a few centuries of experience, I’d be honored to face you in real combat.”
Things to love about this scene:
Barely grown-up Uriel with a weapon as tall and wide as she is, ready to fuck up a horseman.
War calling Abaddon out on his staffing practices.
War smiling, which is rare enough, but also already being fond enough of her to not want to make her feel belittled, even though he’s known her for, like, 10 seconds.
War also being woefully unaware just HOW important duty is for angels and that she WOULD likely be blamed for not even trying to stop him, if she did as he asks.
War ending her attack in a matter of seconds, because even though he’s the youngest of the horsemen, he’s been around for at least 500 years at this point, which might be even longer than Uriel has lived (it’s never said how long it takes for angels to reach adulthood, but I headcanon it’s about 500 years).
“War was never one to let an opportunity pass him by”--*cough*innuendo*cough*
War’s SWORD being disappointed that it didn’t get to kill her, thank god it can’t talk like the Watcher.
War wanting to fight her again a couple centuries later, which... well, you got your wish, buddy. :DDD

Royal Pain Masterlist
“Son, we need to talk in private.” John wants to lead Dean away from your nest, but your Alpha won’t budge. Stubborn he stays close to your shared bed, purring into your direction. “Dean…”
“You can tell me anything in this room too. I will not leave my mate's side. Two weeks ago, she almost…” Snarling Dean glares at his father, ignoring the low growl leaving John’s throat.
“I don’t know if your pregnant mate should hear what Castiel and Ketch told me not minutes ago.” John sighs, hating he must tell Dean about Cole and King Chuck.
“Just tell me, father. I’ll protect my mate at all costs.” Now you sit up to crawl toward Dean, holding his hand you glance up at John. “I will fight for our love, my Omega...”
Your stomach drops as John tells Dean your attacker lied to King Chuck. He told him that you were promised to Cole, not Dean.
“What? How dare he!” Dean is squeezing your hand tightly, purring into your direction as you start to shake.
“The king wants to see you and your mate. Bobby and I will come too. We will not let Cole spread lies, son. Your bond was arranged the moment Y/N presented and Rowena told us you are true mates.” John rumbles and you grasp at Dean’s hand, not wanting to let go of your mate you whine.
“No one will part you and Dean. You are mated and married, princess. Chuck is a righteous, a fair man, Y/N. I can assure you he only wants to be sure Cole lied.” John tries to convince you but you started to whimper and Dean needs to bring you onto his lap to let you bury your face into his neck.
“Shh…I’ve got you, Omega. I swear this time I’ll kill Cole for spreading lies. You’re mine, only mine, Y/N.”
----
“I can’t believe we got summoned here, King Chuck. This man tried to force himself on a married and mated Omega. My daughter is carrying Dean’s pups and still, Prince Cole tried to rape her!” Bobby is furious, pointing toward your trembling form as you hold tight onto your mate for dear life.
“My king, please calm.” Castiel tries to reason with your father but Bobby is way too angry to swallow his anger.
“I was always loyal, your majesty. Prince Dean’s and my daughter's bond is legal. Y/N was promised to Dean the moment she presented, Sire. Cole never even showed interested until he saw my married and mated daughter.”
“Sire, King Chuck. Prince Cole is well known for forcing mated Omega’s into his bed. Even his father admitted his son’s insanity. We have an official statement of King Edward to assure there was no arrangement between King Bobby and Cole’s father.” Castiel explains, handing King Chuck the statement.
“I see, Lord Castiel.” Chuck glances at the statement and then his eyes land on you, hiding your face into Dean’s neck to scent your mate. “I want to talk to Y/N and Dean. After that, I’ll read this statement and will hear you all out.” Chuck orders his knights to lead everyone except for you and Dean out of the throne room.
“Your highness,” Dean chokes out as he leads you toward the king. Your hands are shaking as you look up at Chuck.
“Relax, Y/N. Don’t you remember your Uncle Chuck? We were playing hide and seek when you were a little girl.” Chuck chuckles, leaving his throne to squeeze your hand.
“You’re Uncle Chuck?” Sniffling you look up at Chuck as he searches Dean’s face.
“I’m your old Uncle Chuck, but that’s a secret.” Pressing his index finger to his lips King Chuck looks at your husband. “I had to summon you here to hear the truth. I knew the moment Cole opened his mouth he was lying, but I had to follow the law, Y/N.”
Dean slings one arm around your shoulders to make sure you feel safe, but you are still shaking. Holding your breath, you hear Chuck telling Dean he will respect your bond and marriage.
“Cole had no right to hurt you, princess. We all know about his crimes and he will finally pay for his sins. Now let me talk to the others and I will end this farce.”
----
While King Chuck listens to all ‘witnesses’ you purr into Dean’s neck, just hiding from the world while your Alpha gives Cole warning glares now and then.
“Son, I know you want to rip him apart, but leave this to Chuck,” John whispers into his sons’ ear but all Dean sees is your attacker looking at you, licking his lips.
“Prince Cole, I must ask you to stop looking at Princess Y/N. She’s mated and married Omega, pregnant with Prince Dean’s pup. At least try to act like a decent human being and admit your sins.” Michael raises his voice, giving the smirking Alpha one last chance to not feel the wrath of his father but Cole never was on the smart side.
“Prince Cole!” Lucifer jumps up as Cole started to purr into your direction, to get your attention. “My brother warned you! How dare you ignoring a crown prince’s order!” Pressing the tip of his sword into Cole’s chest Lucifer looks at the smirking Alpha.
“ENOUGH! This is a trial, not a carnival! You will respect the trial and my son's order or I will let my knights chop your head off right now!” Chuck is pointing at Uriel and for the first time, Cole’s smirk fades and gets replaced by a frown.
“My King, we should continue and ignore Prince Cole’s manners. His father assured us he will accept any judgment.” Castiel is the voice of reason once again, and the King gives him a curt nod.
“You’re right, Lord Castiel.” King Chuck agrees before he tells the last witness to step forward to explain what happened during the attack.
“My King, I heard my princess call for help and then I saw Prince Cole, and heard what he said to Princess Y/N. He threatened to fuck the pup out of her and other cruelties. I had no other choice than stepping in and defending her.” Gwendoline explains.
“Well done, Lady Gwendoline. I always knew you are more than a meager maid. I think I heard enough. Thank you.” Gwendoline bows before she stands by your side.
Dean is still glaring at Cole, ready to defend you the moment the Alpha tries to touch you. “Dean, I’m still scared. What if King Chuck decides I have to leave you?” Sniffling you cling to your Alpha as said king calls for silence.
“Shh…” Whimpering you intervene your fingers with Dean’s looking at King Chuck as he clears his throat.
“After I heard every witness and read the letter King Edward sent to me I came to the following judgment.” King Chuck looks at you and Dean, smiling. “Prince Dean and his mate belong together. Their marriage and bond are legal.”
Gasping you lean your head against Dean’s shoulder, not knowing your mate held his breath for a moment. He feared Chuck could be on Cole’s side.
“My Lord…that’s…” Snarling Cole tries to get to you, but Michael holds him back, snarling as the way smaller Alpha struggles against his strength.
“Silence!” Chuck is clenching his jaw, giving Cole one last glare. “I’m not done! You attacked a married and mated Omega. Your past is filled with assaults and crimes beyond anything I heard before. I will fulfill my duty as the King of my country and make sure you will never be able to hurt another Omega.”
Cole turns pale watching Chuck wave at his knights. “I, King Chuck, sentence you to death for your crimes against the people of Lebanon and Eden. The judgment will be executed right now. Steal yourself, Prince Cole and at least face your punishment like a royal.”
Gasping you look at your mate, sniffling as he brings you in his arms to calm you.
“He’ll never harm anyone again, my mate, my love.” Dean purrs against your throat and you close your eyes, praying this was the last time you and your Alpha had to face Cole.
----
Three days later…
“Finally back home,” Dean smirks as you snuggle into his side, not wanting to let go of him since you had to go to Eden.
“Home…” Whimpering you look up at your mate, hating you are still scared and meek. “He’s dead…”
“This wasn’t only to avenge you, but all the other Omegas Cole abused and hurt. He can never hurt anyone, Y/N. Cole is gone.” Dean doesn’t hide he’s happy about your attacker’s death, you do the same.
Your Alpha is gently stroking your tiny baby bump, purring as he knows you will be round with his pup soon. His eyes focused on his hand on your belly he smiles as you cover his hand with yours.
“I’m glad we can leave all this behind now, Dean. I don’t want to waste more time thinking about Cole or any other person wanting to get between us.” Your whines catch Dean’s attention and he looks at your quivering lips.
“What’s wrong? Are you not well, Omega?” Overwhelmed by your feelings you paw at Dean’s shoulders, purring as you want his attention.
“I want to feel you Alpha…” Eye lust-blown you look up at your Alpha, smirking as he rolls you onto your back.
“I’ll make you feel me, Omega. Now and forever…”

Desires: Lucifer season 5 on Netflix
Created: August 21, 2020. Last Modified: August 22, 2020.
Preface: Alright my Lucis, here’s the sitch: it’s been a minute. Life got a bit chaotic I wasn’t able to start season five quite on time when it premiered on August 21st because I haven’t finished the great 2020 Lucifer rewatch. I’m nearly done however and should be able to jump into it either later today or tomorrow, which is why beforehand I want to — as I’ve traditionally done for a few seasons — create a desires list and keep a tally throughout the season to see how many are met. I am going to try to pace myself, not binge, and watch a single episode a day so don’t spoil me. Likewise I will tag my spoilers. Here we go... #21DaysofLucifer
Season 3 and 4 Roundout - Desires Fulfilled / Questions Answered
✔We’ve seen other demons “like Maze” and a bit of what havoc they can reek. Well sort of. To be quite frank, although it was cool to see them possess the recently deceased, it wasn’t as impending doom as I was expecting. They didn’t seem nearly as disciplined or intimidating as Mazikeen, even Dromos, more bored and desperate.
✔ We’ve seen a little more or the heavenly host in Remiel. Remi was cool, if a bit intense. Her character, and her affinity to Amenadiel was a nice foil to see how far his character has come in evolution. But again like Uriel was for Lucifer, she kind of became a driving force character device to push Amenadiel’s growth. So I wonder if we’ll get to see more of her or not.
✔ (s3) The backstory of Lucifer’s arrival in LA, finding LUX, and making a deal with Amenadiel.
✔ (s3) Cain finally went to hell, YES! Not that I didn’t like Marcus Pierce/Tom Welling, there were some great interactions there, but I just think he was a wishy-washy antagonist based on how he was written and I can’t wait to trade up for Michael.
✔ Maze finally had some happiness and attachment to this silly mortal coil and it slipped away! Why Eve why? I love Maze’s bonding with humans, Linda, Trixie, Chloe. But I love that after a Millennia of serving, and then watching Amenadiel and Linda be happy in a family unit, that she might actually make her own and my hopes were dashed.
Things we got that we didn’t even know we wanted. SO GOOD:
Season 4 ep 8: Amenadiel bonding with Caleb and confronting community violence, police brutality, and systemic racism. It was a rough episode to be sure, but absolutely needed,
Chloe talking Lucifer down and out of a self-hatred spiral and his transformation into full-fledged devil and back again.
Lucifer playing Creep on repeat while missing the detective (even after insisting in a therapy session that “he’s not a teenager playing Adele on repeat) and Mr. Said Out B**** trying to rob Lucifer and gun point and ultimately get rich. What a fun twist.
The Dan and Maze Los X’s fight. They are wicked good at laying down the hurt on the criminal element and I was wondering when they’d pair up again after dispatching Warden Perry.
The devil in a bar fight! I mean, it’s only fair since the ladies had their brawl. I love how this fight sequence was filmed in bursts of slo-mo from various angles, involved everything from fists, to tasers, knives, bottles, and the infamous pool cue, and they picked the perfect song for pacing (Jake Bugg, Lightning Bolt, could listen to it all day on repeat.)
Time for all good demons to go home / Enough, you will bow down to your king. Go home! (aka appropriate use of Devilish intimidation face)
Amenadiel vs Remi
A Rocky montage with Lucifer and Amenadiel / Amenadiel’s face the first time Lucifer drives the Corvette
Lucifer at the roller derby
Chloe the YA fangirl
Maze teaching Trixie about knives, with each handle decorated in a different toy.
Amenadiel and Chloe catching up: your father is so proud of you. Like and angel BOSS!
SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:
★ (s3) Amenadiel taking Charlotte home
★ Dan being comforted in his grief by Amenadiel
★ Amenadiel’s wrath and the brotherly duo tag team to lay the hurt on the drug dealer that got Charlie killed. It’s been a while since we’ve seen warrior angel ready to dispatch anyone in his way. And it was glorious!
★ (s3) Lucifer’s almost driving lesson with Trixie “Morningstar”
★ (s3) Maze torturing Lucifer by making him think he’s the Angel of San Bernadino
★ (s3) Amenadiel and Lina helping to dispose of Lucifer’s wings
★ Lucifer kicking Julian, Tiernan’s son, through a glass pane window
★ The goodbye kiss between Lucifer and Chloe
DIDN’T LIKE:
☒ (s3) Cain playing guitar and singing. What is he, a crime lord, a top cop, or an act that the improv club wouldn’t take?
☒ Eve. I liked Eve, but we mostly got to see one side of her around Lucifer, and a kind of floundering an confused side when she was with Maze. The side that I would have liked to see more of was the maternal side that came out when she briefly talked about Abel or was interrogated by Trixie. That made her more layered.
☒ Father Kinley. That dude is just meh.
☒ Dan’s broken heart and rebounding with Ella. Don’t get me wrong, its a good arc, but I don’t see it lasting
☒ (s3) Abel and Reese. Those were two side stories I could have done without, although they had great moments of humor. I quite enjoyed Reese’s character, and although I didn’t like Abel Lucifer’s stick-figure comic illustration of Cain fighting with him over a rock was quite enjoyable.
WHAT I TRULY DESIRE: SINFUL SEASON 5, my BURNING QUESTIONS, and SPECULATIONS
Obviously, don’t spoil anything for me, but if any of my desires end up coming true in any of the first eight episodes maybe drop me a hint in the comments...
A big time jump. We need to see the lasting impact of Lucifer’s absence. I know that time in hell works differently per that episode where Lucifer saved Chloe and almost got stuck in a loop, but we still need enough time to elapse that the impact is felt on the mortal side. Or, we need to see the passage of time through a series of events without Lucifer, like a montage of character development. At least a year or so, if for no other reason then Trixie is growing up and I actually want to see her take driving lessons with Lucifer.
Last season Maze gave baby Charlie a gift, something she’d wished she’d had growing up, and previously had alluded to the language of demons, her many siblings, and teased her mother, the mother of all demons. Will we finally get to meet Maze’s mom Lilith (or however they address her)? And, in spite of Mazikeen’s found family, she still has restlessness and abandonment issues. Will her mom finally finally bring her peace, or will clashing with her resolidify Maze’s purpose on earth?
A Decker/Mazikeen team-up or girls night out 2.0 would always be appreciated. At this point its probably 4.0 if you count the bar fight and the bachelorette party.
Will we see tougher, scarier demons, or are they just warmup to the really scary depths of hell?
Speaking of hell, more hell. Tons of hell. I want to know the minutia of all the mechanics. If Lucifer’s gotta be down there in self-imposed exile, he may as well show us around. Pour us a drink.
Will Lucifer see Cain in Hell? Not that I’m dying to see more of “sad Cain” but it would be interesting to see a more dark or desperate or cunning side to him at least now that he’s actually neck deep in torment. Or, alternatively, I’m hedging my bets that he could be a good candidate to light the fire under Lucifer’s *** to get of hell back to the earthly realm. Even in hell, I’m betting Cain would have a soft spot for Chloe, and if news reached Lucifer that Michael were trying to abscond with his life and with Chloe, it would give Cain and Lucifer one last bit of “A-Hole brothers” common ground to bond over. Like “Brothers, am I right? Go kick, get Chloe back, I’ll still have enough guilt to torture me with in a few thousand years when you get back,”
Will Lucifer fall into peril in hell of once again potentially getting distracted and stuck in a hell loop? Will his servants be satisfied with his return? Will Amenadiel bust him out.
Mr. Said Out Bitch needs a role reprise. He’s been in every season opener 2-4, we’ve gotten to know his undergarments very well. Its high time we get to know his name and story. He’s put in the work!
Amenadiel should be running LUX in Lucifer's absence. We got a tease of that in previous seasons (remember when he asked what would Lucifer do?) its time for that to come to fruition. Plus, any excuse to put DB Woodside in a suit, just because he wears them so well. It would also be interesting if, after that tragedy he’s experienced, Amenadiel will start taking after Luci. Maybe not the punishing, not yet, but wanting to seek out evil and corruption. It has been teased since s1 “fall as I did.” Perhaps he’ll start developing a taste for his bother’s line of work whereas he found it repugnant in the early days
Dan and Maze or Dan and Ella pair up. Both Dan and Maze are due for some happiness.
An Azrael reboot, when need more of her. She’s the angel of Death for pity’s sake. I don’t know if the original actress is still available or if they would have to recast, or if the character concept by Netflix would even be the same, but I need Azrael to be capable of sweet and unassuming and on a coin flip downright menacing.
More of Lucifer as a godparent, bless! And maybe a cool montage of “cousin” Trixie and Lucifer co-babysitting Charlie please.
Whilst on the subject of Lucifer and parenting, and without putting Trixie too much into harm’s way, I need to see what “I would do anything to protect that little urchin” looks like. Trixstar ride or die.
Father Frank, come back! I need a cameo or recurrent role pleeeeease.
Trixie in every episode. This is non-negotiable, much like chocolate cake. Beatrice is an all-star. In fact, I’ve decided that when Dad/God finally does show up, Trixie needs to be the one to get to know him / introduce him first. She’s been captain on the celestial cheer squad for four seasons, she’s earned this.
Who's going to see through Michael's facade first? I mean, I know that trailer shows Maze torturing it out of him, but as far as intuition goes, I've got a 50/50 split between Trixie and Linda, with an honorable mention to Dan.
If Michael is Lucifer's twin, does he have the same angelic compulsion skill set? Or something different? And will it work on Chloe or is she universally immune?
A “be like Mike” pop-culture reference. ******Spoilers: ******* all the trailers have revealed Michael already, so they owe us this for letting the steam out.
As far as pop-culture, how many movie and TV references will we get from Lucifer and ensemble this year? I expect A-game, from sci-fi to 80s action, on par with the previous likes of Parent Trap, Star Wars, Home Alone, Kim Possible, and Rocky.
Will Amenadiel’s necklace make a reappearance, even after he put it around Caleb’s neck in the morgue? Heavenly artifacts have a way of causing trouble in this show.
Will what finally learn what, if any, significance there is to Lucifer’s ring? Again, as all my fictional writings will attest, I really kind of want it to be a stolen little trinket from him Dad.
Plot twist: will we get to see Hell and the silver city all in one season, or is that too devilishly good to ask? It would be intriguing if Lucifer fell from Heaven for rebelling and now some threat like, for example, the mother of demons would pose a threat to the gates such that Lucifer was called upon to defend them. Not expecting anything Endgame level with a host of Angels popping up like sorcerers...but it is food for the imagination.
Plot twist: will Michael, duplicitous twin that he is, be revealed as the reason that Lucifer does not lie and can’t stand liars? Will be get a Michael back story? Is he perhaps the true rebellious son? see: my original fan conjecture here.

A Dragon’s Hoard
Another day, another prompt for the #ineffablehusbandsauweek by @ineffablehusbandsweek.
Read and comment on AO3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/26651497
When her sister, Michael, became queen, Aziraphale knew it was just a matter of time before something went wrong.
It wasn’t that her sister wasn’t smart or capable of taking care of the kingdom - no, Michael led like a lioness - it was the strong opposition to her that made her rule difficult. Their mother had been well loved - but it was Michael’s strictness and her refusal to marry someone that didn’t love her had made her be seen as a difficult woman not fit to rule.
So it came as no surprise when the first cry of a dragon overhead was quickly blamed on the anger of a sorcerer towards Queen Michael.
“What can we do?” Michael asked her closest staff, her most trusted advisors. “We must send someone to slay the dragon.”
“The dragon will not be slayed,” her seer, Uriel said with a shake of her braided head. “It needs to be appeased - a tribute must be given.”
“Who? I will not put our people at risk,” said Michael, then squared her shoulders and declared. “I shall do it.”
“Send Aziraphale,” came the wheezy voice of Sandalphon. “No harm done there - she is a princess of low standing - one that not even her fiance wants. Give her to the dragon.”
Michael was hesitant, not liking the words of her advisors, but when she pitched the idea to Aziraphale, the younger woman gracefully accepted.
“You are needed here - mother wanted you to take over and care for the kingdom,” she said, a soft smile on her softer face. “Besides, what is there for me here? A husband that is more interested in status than my heart? Children given that will be ignored by their father? Let me make this sacrifice for our people.”
This is how Aziraphale and her horse Angel found themselves riding towards the craignish mouth of the cave that the dragon had been seen entering.
Aziraphale arrived at the village at the foot of the mountain in rags and with Angel being led along. The people all looked at the woman who looked so out of place with the softness and angelic light of her hazel eyes. Lecherous looks were thrown her way, but she made her way straight to the inn and to the woman in charge.
“Madame Tracy, correct?” she asked, looking at the woman with her red-orange puffy curls pinned back.
The woman beamed, “Yes, love, that is I. How can I help? Need a room?”
She shook her head, “My groundsman told me to look for you, I have a horse that I won’t be needing anytime soon - said to give her to you.”
Tracy frowned, “And why’s that, love? Giving all your earthly possessions - you’re not becoming a nun, are you? Not such a lovely thing like you.”
A little smile lit up Aziraphale’s face, “No, I’m - I’m being given as tribute to the dragon. I don’t want to put Angel in danger. Please, will you take her?”
“Oh, Princess Aziraphale - ” Tracy begun, curtsying low until her skirts were pooling around her feet.
Aziraphale tutted and got down at her side, “No, please, don’t. I won’t be a princess for much longer - there’s no need for all this fuss. Plus, I’d like to keep quiet about what I’m doing.”
Tracy pouted, straightening up, “I don’t like that you’re being sacrificed, duckie. But I’ll take your horse - at least until you come back.”
“Madame, I won’t be returning - it’s a dragon we’re talking about.”
She laughed, “Oh, dear little duckie - I have a feeling that we’ll see you back soon. An angel such as you will have no problem with a dragon like that. Take this,” she said, reaching around and handing her a little bottle of gold liquid, “It’s an old family recipe. Can undo any injury or curse. Trust me, love. It’ll come in handy either for you or that dragon.”
Doubt clouding her light eyes, Aziraphale took the elixir and tucked it into her bosom, “Thank you, Madame. Take care of my girl.”
A crowd had formed at the door as everyone tried to catch a glimpse of the newcomer and they split in the middle when she came out. The young men of the village were quick to flock to her side, offering to carry her pack, inviting her for a meal or drink, and she frowned at them trying to turn them down as politely as she could. When one got a little too handsy, she pulled out the dagger tied to her waist and pointed it at his jugular.
“I suggest,” she said, nose flaring, “that you take a step back.”
Hands held aloft before him, the man backed away - taking the rest of her followers with him and Aziraphale, now alone, squared her shoulders and made her way up the mountain.
The cave was large and Aziraphale could hear a low rumble from within, the dragon’s quiet snoring. Her own breath was coming in shaky inhales as she entered the dark cavern on wobbly knees - looking for the creature. Part of her felt bad for waking it up - speeding up her own death - but she’d rather just get it over with. She came across the smoke curling out of large nostrils and swallowed her nerves down.
“Dragon, awake,” she said, voice stronger than she expected it to be. “I am Princess Aziraphale of Eastgate and I am here as tribute for my kingdom. Take me as - as meal or prize - and leave my home alone.”
An eye of gold opened and peered at her, blinking once before the dragon unfolded itself. A puff of fire lit the nearby torches and revealed the massive being to Aziraphale. If she weren’t so terrified she’d think the creature was beautiful.
Black scales trailed into red on its underbelly and its slender form that gave it more of a serpentine look than draconic, the gold eyes looked at her from above before lowering down til its snout was right in front of Aziraphale.
“Brave little morsel,” the dragon said, its deep, rumbling voice vibrated through Aziraphale’s bones. “Willing to give herself up for her people. Tell me, what made you think that I will stop if given a snack?”
Aziraphale tensed, “I don’t know. But better me than my sister - and better a snack than sending champion after champion to attempt slaying you.”
He laughed, “You think I’d be impossible to slay.”
“I think it would be difficult and not worth the effort and death.”
A little hum escaped the dragon and his tail came up to curl around her feet, “Smart words, little princess. But a waste of time. I shan’t eat you - but I will take you as a prize.”
Aziraphale relaxed, if only a little, “Thank you. And - and you’ll leave my kingdom alone?”
Another hum, “I was just sent here, really. Don’t know what my life was before I was sent here. ‘Go East and cause some trouble, ‘s all the instructions I had. I had no intention of harming a kingdom - really just to sleep here - until you came along.”
“Then,” said Aziraphale, frowning. “What’s the point of keeping me here?”
If the dragon could shrug, he would’ve, but instead his tail tightened around Aziraphale’s ankles, “Gets boring around here - now I have someone to talk to…and you came to me, dove.”
She rolled her eyes, “Alright. But what do I call you now that we’re - roommates?”
The dragon chuckled, “My name is Crowley, your highness. And I look forward to getting to know you.”
That first night, Aziraphale and Crowley kept a wary distance. Aziraphale unfolded her pack’s worth of food and her bedroll. She offered the dragon a piece of her meal - if only due to the manners she’d been taught - but he gave a little shake of his massive head, thanking her, but refusing.
Crowley watched her as she ate, daintily and making obscene little noises that forced his eyes closed lest they show the dilation of his pupils. He didn’t remember much before his orders to come to this kingdom - but he knew that there was something wrong about ogling a woman in such a way.
Aziraphale for her part studied each scale of the dragon and wondered if they were as soft to touch as they looked. But more than that, she wondered what Crowley had meant when he said he didn’t remember much before getting orders. Questions swarmed her mind - but she kept them to the journal she brought with her.
As she curled into the warmth of her bedroll, she took a final look at the slumbering beast and smiled.
One prison to another - but at least no bothersome fiance to worry about.
The next morning, Aziraphale awoke alone.
Panic spread to every cell of her body and broke her out into a cold sweat as she scrambled to her feet. She felt stupid for trusting a dragon - a monster - and risking the lives of her people. Dagger in hand, she ventured out of the cave and, when she didn’t find any trace of the beast, nor the sight of destruction in the village below, stormed deeper within the cave.
She found Crowley curled around a fire, scorch marks around the pile of firewood, and a stack of cooked meat in a pile to his side.
“Good morning, dove,” said Crowley. “I went ahead and caught you some food. Figured beings like you have to eat every day. Also, there are some things hidden in here that you can turn into - a home for the time being.”
Taking a look around, Aziraphale noticed the old furniture that were scattered around - from a lounging chaise and mirrored vanity to the frame of an old canopy bed and dresser - it seemed that there was an old hoard lying around.
“You - you didn’t attack the town.”
Crowley did the equivalent of a scoff, “Said I wouldn’t. Won’t go against my word. Besides, I’m curious and you’re curious and the only way we’ll get answers is through one another. So we’ll make the most of our time together. Deal?”
Aziraphale lowered her dagger, studying the expression on the dragon, “Deal.”
One morning turned into a few more and the two found themselves easing into a comfortable routine and friendship. Amidst their conversations, Aziraphale found out that Crowley didn’t remember anything about what his life was like before the old witch sent him to Eastgate - couldn’t even remember if he’d always been a dragon or a snake or anything else, that he didn’t want to destroy towns because he was curious of human life. And Crowley found out about Aziraphale’s pompous former betrothed that would dismiss her in conversation - about her mother who loved her and had wanted her to be free to explore before tying her down to this man who despised her.
And as the two learned more about each other, they found themselves growing fonder - curling up on colder nights, Crowley nuzzling against Aziraphale to rouse her in the morning, and cohabiting comfortably for the weeks that came to be.
It was on one of the days that were chillier than most that found Aziraphale curled against Crowley’s warm stomach while he prodded her with his snout.
“Are you going to sleep all day?” he asked her with a laugh. “C’mon, dove. Up and at ‘em.”
She gave a little whine and patted his snout, “Just a couple more minutes, dear. You’re just so comfortable.”
“You’ve grown soft. You’re in the perfect position for me to eat you up,” said Crowley, tongue flicking out to scent her, tickling her thighs where her nightgown had ridden up.
Aziraphale turned, nuzzling against the soft underbelly and making the muscle twitch, “Mmm, you won’t eat me - you love me too much. ‘N I’m not soft - you’re the soft one. You let me live.”
The words settled heavy over them and woke Aziraphale up with a start. She pulled away from him, blushing, “Sorry, my dear - I didn’t mean.”
“You’re not wrong,” he said, head coming to rest at her side. “I did spare you and I do - I do care about you deeply. You’re the only friend I have - maybe ever had but - I can’t keep you here forever.”
She frowned, sleepy eyes coming into focus, “Crowley, I made a promise. My life for the life of my people. I can’t return now.”
“Then don’t return. Go explore the world like your mother would’ve wanted for you,” Crowley said, voice getting rougher. “I’ll keep my promise - won’t lay a claw on your kingdom and you - go live your dream.”
“That dream was of a child,” she said, curls flying with her intensity. “That hasn’t been my dream since my betrothal. I wanted to collect books,” an incredulous laugh escaped her, “a hoard of books. A little library to share with others - teach little village kids to read, but not if I can’t have a friend like you.”
Crowley was quiet, the trail of smoke curling around her until he got up, looking away from her, “Tomorrow, I want you to pack your things and go back to the village. There’s gold in the old hoard - use it to build your library.”
“But - ”
“When I return, I don’t want you here,” he said, unfurling his wings. He turned to her, gold eyes covered in a cloudy film, “Make your dream come true, dove.”
Without heeding her cries of his name, Crowley took off and left Aziraphale alone in the cavernous, echoing darkness. Tears welled in her eyes as she turned to her pack long forgotten in the corner underneath the bed frame.
She didn’t want to pack. She didn’t want to leave Crowley alone in this cold cave when all he wanted was answers. She loved him and she couldn’t just leave him.
“Well that settles it,” she said to the darkness around him. “I am not moving and he’s just going to have to deal with it.”
Crowley returned to a fire-lit cavern, Aziraphale sitting cross-legged in front of the fire with her journal in her lap. Part of him felt exasperated at the sight of her, the stubborn set of her chin and sharpness in her hazel eyes. The other part was relieved that she hadn’t left.
“I thought I told you to leave,” he said, voice rough from lack of use.
Aziraphale scoffed, “I’m not gonna leave because you throw a fit. You won’t get rid of me that easily.”
With a huff, Crowley curled around her, snout pushing until her arm rested over it, “You just have to make my life difficult, don’t you?”
“What’s the point of traveling the world by myself when the two of us could go together?” said Aziraphale, stroking the smooth scales between his eyes.
“Oh? Now I’m your noble steed?”
“Nothing noble about you, you wily thing,” she laughed, pressing a kiss along the path her hands were taking. “We’ll talk about it in the morning, alright? For now, I’d like to get warm - and I’m sure you would too.”
Crowley hummed his affirmation, tucking her in tight against him and settled in for the night.
The next morning, Aziraphale found herself in the tight coils of Crowley’s tail as he poised to strike - not towards her, but at something at the mouth of the cave.
“Leave my cave now and I won’t be picking you out of my teeth,” he said, a rumbling deep from his stomach that Aziraphale felt down to her bones.
As she tried to get a better look at the intruder, a familiar voice halted her movements.
“Foul beast. You have killed my beloved and for that you must die,” the boisterous voice echoed through the cave, followed by the sound of metal against rock. “It’s time to rid you that way her sacrifice was not in vain.”
Crowley let out a low hiss that rolled into laughter. He turned enough so he could see Aziraphale behind him and the exasperated roll of her eyes.
“Dove, you know this meathead?”
He released her at the tap of her hand on his scales, “Unfortunately. This is the betrothed I spoke to you about - Sir Gabriel.”
At the sound of her voice, Gabriel’s expression shifted into confusion, then anger, “Aziraphale? You’re still alive? The beast hasn’t eaten you?”
Aziraphale pulled the dagger out from underneath her blanket and stood at Crowley’s side, “The beast has a name - and no, he’s been nothing but hospitable. But I’m going to ask you to leave now, Gabriel, return to your manor and forget you ever saw us.”
A little incredulous scoff escaped his mouth, “Sunshine, you’re being held hostage. Let me do this for you - let me save you from your imprisonment.”
Another eyeroll and Aziraphale leaned against Crowley, making him puff proudly. At the sight, Gabriel’s nose scrunched up and he took a step back.
“He’s done something- hypnotized you or bewitched you,” he said, readying his sword. “But never fear, sunshine, I’ll save you.”
He lunged forward, sword aloft, and Aziraphale took a step forward to meet the blow. Crowley, quicker than she was, pulled her back into the safety of his tail, snapping at his assailant and taking the brunt of the attack.
“Crowley,” she said, ignoring the man now laying at their feet, impaled by teeth and the metal of his armor. “Dearest, you can’t leave me - you said we’d go explore together.”
A huff of laughter and smoke escaped Crowley’s mouth as he pressed his snout against Aziraphale’s stomach, “Sorry, dove. He was just a little quicker than me. Don’t cry - I’ll be alright and you’ll be alright, too. You’ll see.”
Tears rolled down Aziraphale’s face and fell upon her chest, rolling down the crevice between them and landing on - on a vial. She sobered up for a second and pulled out the little forgotten vial of elixir Madame Tracy had given her.
“Crowley, I’m gonna fix this - I am,” she said, popping open the vial. “Open your mouth for me, love, there you go - this should make it all better.”
The gold liquid dripped down his teeth and he swallowed thick around it. A relieved purr vibrated Aziraphale’s body and then the wound at his neck started glowing gold - then the rest of him started glowing the same gold color.
As the light disappeared, the weight on Aziraphale’s lap lessened and instead of the massive body of the dragon there was a lighter pressure of a human head - of a man’s head in her lap. He shifted, wincing in pain before opening his eyes and glancing at her, eyes wide and gold and hauntingly familiar.
“Crowley?”
“Dove? You look different, definitely bigger, what was in that drink you gave me?”
Aziraphale thought of the Madame’s words, “An elixir that can - that can heal any wound and undo any curse - my love, you were cursed, that’s why you couldn’t remember anything.”
A spark of realization blinked into his eyes and he sprung up, cupping Aziraphale’s face in his long-fingered grasp, “Cursed - dove, you’re right - I - that witch had something against my father and cursed me. I remember now. I - I’m human - wait, I’m human again and you’re here and - ”
She couldn’t fight the huge smile that spread across her face and lit up her light eyes, “Oh, Crowley. I’m so happy for you. I guess now it’s not that weird to say that I love you.”
He smiled, wide and as dangerous as his dragon’s smile had been, and leaned in to pepper kisses across her cheeks.
“You love me? Dove, I adore you,” he said, pressing kisses to her nose and brushing her lips. “Let me show you the world - let me get that library for you. The castle need not see you again - the dragon is slayed by love, just - just allow me the pleasure of being at your side.”
Aziraphale pressed a kiss of her own to the thumb sweeping across her lip, “Of course, my dear. Anything.”
Aziraphale and Crowley returned to the village and it was Madame Tracy, one hand on her hip and the other on Angel’s reins that greeted them.
“Took you long enough,” she said, handing the reins over to Aziraphale. “Come now you two lovebirds. Let's get you settled in the inn until you can settle. You will be staying in town with us, right duckies?”
And how could they argue with such a wise madame?

Wishful Thinking
“It just doesn't make any sense, Dean. I mean, why would Uriel tell me you remembered Hell if you didn't?” Sam asks for what seems like the thousandth time.
The girls roll their eyes in synch at the boys’ antics. They all sit at a table in a bar, drinking various things, as well as picking apart a plate of fries.
Dean downs another shot. “Maybe because he's a dick. Might have something to do with it.”
“Maybe, but he’s still an angel.”
“Yeah, an angel who was ready to level a whole town. Look, I don’t know what-” “Radical,” The waiter says, coming up to their table right at that moment. “What else can I get for you?”
“Uh, I think we’re good,” Sam says.
“Speak for yourself,” Chase says. “I’d like whatever dessert you’d recommend, unless pie is an option. Pie is life. And I’ll take another few rounds of these,” she finishes, pushing a couple of now empty shot glasses towards him.
“A few more meaning?”
“Six.”
The waiter, looking slightly startled, walks away.
“Sam, honestly, I have no idea why Uriel told you what he did, okay?” Dean says, finishing what he was trying to say earlier.
“Right,” Sam says, unconvinced.
“What?” Dean asks.
“You gotta see it from our point of view, Dean,” Chase says. “You’re not sounding very believable. Right, Harley?”
“I think if Dean isn’t ready to talk about it we shouldn’t pry.” Harley answers.
“I’m fine talking,” Dean says gruffly. “I just don’t remember anything.”
“Okay. Fine. Then look me in the eye and tell me you don't remember a thing from your time down under,” Sam says, continuing to grill him despite Harley’s efforts.
“I don't remember a thing from my time down under. I don't remember, Sam!”
“Look, Dean, we just want to help.”
“You guys know everything I do, okay? That’s all there is.”
“Outstanding!” The waiter exclaims, coming back over with a tray. “Here’s your dessert and drinks, and is there anything else I can get for you?”
“Dude,” Dean says, looking at the waiter.
“Look, bros, you’ve got to try our ice cream extreme. It’s extreme.”
“Uh, no, no extremities please. Just the-”
“Check? Awesome, alright!”
Sam huffs, causing Chase to smile. He’s always hated getting interrupted. “Thanks.”
“Alright, so where do we go from here?” Harley asks once the waiter has disappeared.
“I'm not sure. Uh, looks like it's been pretty quiet lately. No signs of demon activity, no omens or portents I can see,” Sam says.
“Hey, some good news for once!” Chase says, throwing back the second shot already.
“Yeah, just the typical smattering of crank UFO sightings and one possible vengeful spirit. Here, check this out. Uh... Up in Concrete, Washington, eyewitness reports of a ghost that's been haunting the showers of a women's health facility.” Dean chokes on his drink. “The victim claims that the ghost threw her down a flight of stairs. I can see you're very interested.”
“Women, showers,” Dean says. “We got to save these people.”
“Really, Dean?” Chase asks in disgust. “At least be better at pretending you want to actually just help.”
“What?” Dean asks in feign innocence. “We gotta help ‘em.”
***
“I'm not surprised the spirit world chose to make contact with me. I'm something of a... natural sensitive.” Candace, the victim, says.
“I can sense that about you, Candace, that whole... sensitive thing.” Sam responds.
“So, what did you say you're calling your book?”
“Oh, well, um... Well, the working title is... ‘Supernatural.’ Yeah, We've been crossing the country, gathering stories like yours. But, anyways, you were telling us about your encounter.”
“Yes. Well…” Candace sighs, “Once I saw the apparition, that's when I started to run.”
Sam and Chase notice a peculiar couple making out across the divider. Peculiar in the sense that the woman was way out of the man’s league. Sam keeps staring confused while Chase quickly adverts her gaze and scrunches her nose, a habit of hers whenever she’s uncomfortable. Chase elbows Sam because despite being weird, there isn’t anything paranormal about the couple.
“So the ghost chased you?” Chase asks.
“Not just that. It knew my name. It kept yelling, "Mrs. Armstrong! Mrs. Armstrong!" And that's when I hit the stairs and fell.” Candace responded.
“You fell?” Sam asks. “It didn’t push you?.”
“Oh, I don't – I don't know. I mean, I think it did. Maybe?”
Chase rolls her eyes. ‘Great.’
“Did you feel like it meant to hurt you, like it was violent, or anything like that?” Chases questions.
“It was a ghost. I'm lucky to be alive. Anyway, I was at the bottom of the stairs, and that's when it got weird. It helped me up.” Candace says slightly chuckling.
“Say again?” Sam asks.
“Yeah. It helped me up. And it kept saying over and over, ‘Please, don't tell my mom.’”
Chase snorts at this, earning a look from Candace. “Sorry, that’s just an odd thing for it to say.”
“It is weird,” she agrees.
“Yeah,” Sam says. “Weird.”
***
“You take the stairwell and I’ll take the showers.” Harley says, getting out of the Impala.
“Come on, why can’t I take the showers?” Dean asks, getting out as well.
“Um… I don’t know because you’re you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” He asks, slightly offended.
“Look Dean. It’s not happening, period.”
“You know you’re hot when you know what you want,” Dean says, sneaking up and hugging her from behind.
“No amount of flattery or affection is going to get you into those showers.”
“Can’t blame a guy for trying,” Dean relents, letting go of Harley, pouting.
***
Harley and Dean sat on the steps of the fitness center waiting for Sam and Chase. Dean had found a newspaper and was looking through it. The headline said that a local man had won the lottery.
“Well, you pick up anything?” Sam asks them.
“Nada,” Harley sighs.
“Yeah. I'm not surprised. I kind of got the feeling back there that crazy pushed Mrs. Armstrong down the stairs.”
“I got to tell you, I'm pretty disappointed.” Dean adds.
“Of course you are,” Chase says rolling her eyes.
Dean and Harley got up and the four began making their way back to their respective cars. A kid ran by followed by three others.
“Come on, guys, get him!” One of the presumably bullies says.
“I got him! I got him!” Another yells.
Dean being Dean has to make a reference and calls after the kid running from the others, “Run, Forrest, run!”
“I don't think anything's going on around here,” Chase says. “Maybe for once we get a break?”
“When do we ever get breaks?” Harley asks.
“Never,” Chase sighs dramatically.
The hunters overhear a man arguing with a cop on the pier, “How the hell was I supposed to get a look at it? It grabbed me from behind and threw me into a tree!”
“Something's going on,” Dean comments.
“Yeah, okay, Gus. I understand you got shook up. Anyone would be. But don't you think it – Don't you think it had to be a bear?” The cop asks.
“I know a damn bear track when I see one! This thing didn't leave bear tracks! Its feet were huge!” Gus answers.
“Now, Gus…”
“It was Bigfoot, Hal – The Bigfoot!”
At this the group started walking towards Gus and Hal.
“Gus, you're not talking sense here.”
“There's a Bigfoot out there, damn it, and he's a son of a bitch!”
“Excuse us, FBI,” Sam says, breaking the ice as they all pull out their badges.
“What?” Hal, the cop, responds.
“We’re here about Bigfoot,” Harley states matter-of-factly.
“About Bigfoot?”
“Yes.” Harley promptly turns towards Gus. “Can you tell me exactly where this happened?”
“Why, yes, I can,” Gus says, shooting a victorious look to the cop
***
“What the hell's going on in this town? First there's a ghost that's not real, and now a Bigfoot sighting?” Dean asks.
The four hunters wander through the forest, near where Gus said he’d spotted Bigfoot. Mosquitos swarm around them, trees densely surrounding the few miles around. Chase, already sick of being in the woods, was already bitten several times by the annoying bugs.
“Well, every hunter who’s worth their salt knows Bigfoot’s a hoax,” Sam says.
“Chase, didn’t you used to actually believe in Bigfoot?” Dean asks.
“Only because you told me he did!” Chase retorts. “Everything else is real, so I’m sorry if my seven-year-old self decided to believe her older brother.”
“In all fairness, he could just be really good at staying under the radar. I mean we didn’t think angels were real. Now we’ve met Cas and that asshole brother of his.” Harley adds.
“Well, maybe someone’s pumping LSD into the town water supply,” Dean jokes.
“Then what made those?” Chase asks, stopping suddenly, pointing at large tracks, which couldn’t possibly have been made by a bear.
“That, uh... is a big foot.” Sam says hesitantly.
“Well, okay then,” Chase says.
“Bigfoot isn’t looking so crazy all of the sudden,” Harley states.
The hunters begin following the tracks to a liquor store. Upon entering they notice that no one else is there and that the place is ransacked.
“So, what – Bigfoot breaks into a liquor store, jonesing for some hooch?” Dean says, before leaning down to inspect a few broken bottles, “Amaretto and Irish cream. He's a girl-drink drunk.”
Harley rolls her eyes at the comment.
“Dean, as a female, you should be and definitely are fully aware that I can match you in alcohol consumption. And Harley could probably outdrink all of us if she actually drank.”
“Yeah, but you’re different.”
Chase raises an eyebrow. “Choose your next words very, very carefully, Dean.”
Dean’s eyes widen and he simply turns around to keep investigating. “Seriously? He took the whole porno rack? I will repeat myself. What is going on in this town?”
After one final sweep of the place, they found some fur and decided to sit outside, pondering what this all meant.
“I got nothing,” Dean says, breaking the silence that had fallen over them.
“It’s got to be a joke, right?” Sam asks.
“Yeah,” Chase agrees. “Maybe a big-ass motherfucker in a gorilla suit?”
“Probably,” Harley agrees.
“Or it's a Bigfoot. You know, and he's some kind of a alcoholo-porno addict. Kind of like a deep-woods Duchovny.” Dean adds.
“I thought you didn’t believe in Bigfoot,” Harley teases.
Dean gives her a pointed look. “Yeah, well, it seems everything’s getting weirder by the day, so what else am I supposed to believe?” He frowns, looking past Harley, to see a little girl on a bike, riding past. A porno magazine falls out of the basket attached to her bike, causing all four of the hunters to pause. “A little young for Busty Asian Beauties.”
“I don’t think she’s our Bigfoot, but she might know him. I say we follow her.”
***
“What's this, like a ‘Harry and the Hendersons’ deal?” Dean asks when they arrive at the little girl’s house.
They knock on the door and the little girl answers, “Hello?”
“Hello! Um, could we... You know what? Are your parents home?” Sam asks.
“Nope.”
“No,” Chase repeats in dejection.
“Look, we just want to know if you’ve seen anyone really furry with big feet?” Harley says, probably a little too sharply. She’s never been particularly great with kids.
“Is he in trouble?” The little girl asks worriedly.
“No, of course not,” Chase says, kneeling down to the girl’s height. “We just want to make sure he’s okay.”
“Exactly!” Dean says.
“He’s my teddy bear,” she says. “I think he’s sick.”
“That’s perfect!” Chase says enthusiastically. “Because, we are… teddy bear doctors!” She bluffs, shooting a look back to have the others cover her ass.
“That’s us, teddy bear doctors, so if we could see your teddy bear we might be able to make him better,” Harley quickly says.
“Really?” The little girl asks.
“Really,” Chase says.
***
“He's in my bedroom. He's pretty grumpy,” Audrey says, knocking on the door. “Teddy? There's some nice doctors here to see you.” She opens the door to show a giant stuffed bear turn to them.
“Close the fucking door!” the bear explains, causing Chase’s eyes to widen. She glances quickly at Audrey, hoping she wasn’t taking note of the language being used. Audrey quickly closes the door and turns back to the hunters with a shrug.
“See what I mean?” she asks.
The four hunters, disguised as teddy bear doctors, turn to each other skeptically. They follow Audrey into the living room, allowing them to sit and talk to her.
“All I ever wanted was a teddy which was big, real, and talked. But now he's sad all the time – not "ouch" sad, but ouch-in-the-head sad – says weird stuff, and smells like the bus,” Audrey explains to the four, who all watch her carefully.
Chase snorts, “I understand that feeling.”
“Little girl,” Dean starts.
“Audrey!” Audrey exclaims, chastising Dean again for not using her name.
“Audrey,” Dean corrects, “How exactly did your teddy bear become real?”
“I wished for it,” she says simply, as though it would be obvious.
“You wished for it?” Harley asks hesitantly.
“At the wishing well,” Audrey says, further explaining.
They stand awkwardly outside the bedroom door, looking to each other nervously. Dean opens the door slightly, allowing all four to peer in. A large teddy bear sits on the bed, facing a loud tv, displaying the news.
“Look at this,” the bear says, gesturing to the propaganda being spewed to the viewers. “You believe this crap?”
Dean raises his brows, pursing his lips slightly. “Not really.”
“It is a terrible world,” the bear continues to moan. “Why am I here?”
“For tea parties!” Audrey exclaims expectantly and excitedly.
“Tea parties? Is that all there is?” he demands, gunfire on the tv momentarily distracting him enough for Dean to close the door and turn to Audrey.
“Audrey,” Sam asks. “Can you give us a minute?”
“Okay,” she says, skipping off to the other room.
“Okay,” Sam repeats, turning back to others. “Should-should we kill this bear?”
“I think it might kill itself,” Harley says, grimacing.
“I hate to agree, but I agree,” Chase sighs.
“So what? We leave it alone?” Dean asks.
“I mean I don’t know,” Harley says.
“What would we even do? Shoot it? Burn it?” Chase asks sarcastically.
“How do we even know that's gonna work? I don't want some giant, flaming, pissed-off teddy on our hands,” Dean says.
“Yeah. Besides, I get the feeling that the bear isn't really the, you know, core problem here,” Sam sighs. They quickly make their way to Audrey. “Audrey. Where are your parents?”
She pauses a moment. “My mom wished they were in Bali, so I think they're in Bali.”
Chase’s eyes widen. “I wish I could do that.”
“Okay, well... I'm really sorry to have to break this to you, but... your bear is sick. Yeah, he's – he's got…” Sam pauses, shooting a look to all the other
“Depre-” Harley starts. Chase smacks a palm over her best friend’s mouth, her eyes cursing at her, as she has to improvise.
“Lollipop...disease,” Chase forces out, thinking of the most innocent seeming idea.
“Yeah!” Sam says, jumping on board. “Lollipop disease.”
“It's not uncommon for a bear his size. But, see, it's – it’s really contagious,” Dean explains.
“Yeah, so, is there – is there someone, maybe a grown-up, that you can stay with while we treat him?” Sam asks.
“Mrs. Hurley lives down the street,” Audrey says.
Chase shoots Harley a disgusted look, only now tearing her hand away, because Harley licked it. Chase wipes it on Harley’s shoulder, earning an eye roll from the boys as Harley tries to contain her laughter.
“Perfect,” Dean says.
“Good, yeah, good. Uh, we'd like you to stay there for a few days, okay?” Sam requests.
Audrey shrugs, nonplussed. “Okay.”
“Oh, and, Audrey? Where is this wishing well?” Chase asks.
***
The four hunters stare up at the sign, reading Lucky Chin's Chinese Restaurant, wordlessly sending each other furtive glances, not wishing to go inside. Eventually, the girls wander over to the door and pull it open, allowing the boys to step in, just as a child exits.
“I know what I’m wishing for,” Harley says as soon as they step in making a beeline to the fountain.
“What are you going to wish for?” Sam asks as the other three follow Harley.
“I can’t tell you until after I make my wish.” She rolls her eyes and throws a coin in.
They wait a minute.
“Did it work?” Dean asks.
“Dunno? I don’t really feel any different.” Harley says, “I guess it did?”
“What did you wish for?” Sam asks.
“To be human.”
The three Winchesters stare at her in shock.
“Are you sure that was smart? All these wishes seem to be going awry, and you don’t know the kind of repercussions that could result from you wanting that-” Chase rambles in worry, concern filling her brown eyes as she stares at her best friend. Harley interrupts her, holding a hand up. “Sorry.”
“Well, my turn then,” Dean says, stepping forward.
“What’re you wishing for?” Sam asks, curious.
“Shh,” Dean holds up a hand. “Not supposed to tell.”
He tosses a coin in and not even a second later, a man walks in, “Somebody order a footlong Italian with jalapeño?”
Dean grins at the others, before holding his hand up slightly. “That’d be me.”
“Why don’t you wish for something?” Harley asks Chase.
Chase shrugs. “I dunno what to wish for.”
“How about like, a book, or cat ears, or something.”
“Sure, let me just ask for a headband,” Chase laughs, fishing a coin out of her pocket.
Pulling out a quarter, she approaches the wishing well. Tossing in the coin silently, she waits with bated breath, a hand outstretched, awaiting her cat ears. She frowns, turning around.
“I guess they don’t all work,” she shrugs.
Harley snickers, pointing at her head. “They’re right there.”
Chase reaches up, and pulls off a headband, cat ears that match her hair -dark brown with red streaks. She smiles before resituating them on her head. “Okay, cool, so what do we do about this?”
“I don’t know. Stopping people’s wishes from coming true sounds like a dick move.”
The four went to sit in a booth and talk things over.
“I’m guessing this is also a result,” Chase says, gesturing to the headlines in the newspaper.
“And that,” Sam agrees, pointing to a couple over at a different table.
“Unless he’s got a really great personality or he’s rich, definitely,” Harley adds.
“Yeah, ‘personality’,” Dean says.
“You know that’s not what I meant.”
Dean winks at Harley from across the booth. Chase snorts. Dean turns his look to Chase, a frown settling across his face as he glares at her playfully. Chase shrugs in defense, reaching a hand up to readjust her cat ears.
Dean takes a bite of his sandwich, moaning slightly. He points to it with a full mouth and a wide grin. “Thish ish good.”
“Ew,” Chase says. “Close your mouth, swallow, and then say something. God, Dean.”
Dean just grins at her wider.
Sam rolls his eyes and interrupts. “So, you’re right, it seems like a dick move, but come on, man. When has something like this ever come without a price tag? And usually a deadly one.”
“Sam’s got a point,” Harley says.
“I don't know. It's a damn good sandwich. All right. Fine. We'll put a hold on the wishing till we figure out what's going on,” Dean sighs.
“Uh, sir, sir, I’m sorry,” a worker comes over to their table. “We don’t allow people to eat outside food here.”
“Well, I am certainly not gonna eat the inside food here. Health department. You, my friend, have a rat infestation. We're gonna have to shut this place down under emergency hazard code 56C.”
Chase raises a brow, but then nods solemnly, trying to play along.
“Rats?” The man exclaims in shock.
***
The four hunters stand side by side, looking into the now-drained fountain. The buddha is plaster, paint peeling from its old, wearied edges, the smile thoroughly creeping out Chase. She looks away from it, scanning the bottom of the fountain, but nothing seems out of place.
“Typical fountain, plaster Buddha. Nothing I can see,” Dean says.
“Yes,” the chinese worker says, agreeing enthusiastically. “Nothing. We keep a clean place here.”
“Sir, I'm gonna have to ask you to leave during the preliminary investigation, okay? Thank you,” Sam says. The man leaves, though a sour look adorns his face.
“Oh, come on. Aren't you a little bit tempted?” Dean asks, flipping a coin to Sam.
Sam chuckles lightly, handing the coin back to Dean. “No. Wouldn’t be real. I wouldn’t trust it.”
“I don’t know, that bear seemed pretty real,” Chase says.
“Wasn’t the bear a depressed drunk?” Harley asks.
Chase waves her off. “No matter.”
“Come on, if you could wish yourself back, you know, before it all started... Think about it. You'd be some big yuppie lawyer with a nice car and a white picket fence,” Dean says, ignoring the girls’ deliberation.
“Not what I’d wish for,” Sam says.
“Seriously?” Dean looks at Sam, surprised.
“It's too late to go back to our old lives, Dean. I'm not that guy anymore,” Sam deadpans.
“All right, well, what, then? Hmm? What would little, baby Sammy wish for?” Chase asks, teasing her younger brother.
He looks at her, a serious expression on his face. It causes Chase to pause. “Lilith’s head on a plate. Bloody.”
Harley attempts to whistle lowly, forgetting she can’t whistle at all. “Shit, I’d like that too.”
“Also,” Sam says, lightening up slightly, “You’re by far, much smaller than me.”
Chase rolls her eyes, pouting slightly. “Yeah, yeah, whatever.”
“What’s that?” Dean asks, pointing to an old coin at the bottom of the fountain.
The three others turn to look at it closely, unsure of what it is.
“Some kind of old coin. I don't recognize the markings,” Sam says.
“Neither do I,” Harley adds.
Dean bends over and goes to grab it, but can’t seem to pull it off the fountain floor. “Damn,” he grunts, unable to move it at all.
“Lift with your legs,” Sam jokes.
“That little fucker really is welded on there,” Dean says.
“Let me try,” Harley says, attempting to pick up the coin. It didn’t even budge. “Noted, I’m not freakishly strong anymore. Guess I really am human.”
The boys left to grab a crowbar and a mallet. The worker attempted to stop them once he saw the tools, but the boys brushed past him.
“Let me see that. I got an idea,” Dean says referring to the mallet, he already had the crowbar. He wedged the end of the crowbar between the coin and the fountain, and hit the mallet against the crowbar. The head of the mallet flew off almost hitting Harley in the face.
“That was close. Too close,” Harley says once the mallet head lands.
“Coin's magical,” Sam says.
“I’d say,” Chase agrees.
“I think it’s hoodoo that keeps it protected,” Dean adds. “We can’t destroy it.”
Sam apparently keeps a pencil and paper on him and takes a frottage of the coin handing it to Dean as he was closest to Sam.
“All right, here. Y’all got to look into this.” Sam adds.
“Where you going?” Dean asks.
“Something just occurred to me.”
***
Chase sits, leaning against the wall of her and Harley’s motel room as she waits for her best friend. For some reason, Harley is sick. She’s sitting on the bathroom floor, waiting until she gets sick again, her head resting against the cabinet door, next to the toilet.
Chase herself didn’t feel the greatest. Her head pounded and her ears were ringing. A click lets her know that Harley is exiting the bathroom and Chase sits up straighter, trying to ignore how sensitive to the light her eyes are.
“Feeling any better?”
Harley shakes her head. “Not really.”
“Any idea what it could be?”
Harley shakes her head again, sighing deeply. “It could be something bloodborne. Something I picked up from a bad blood bag?”
“Yep, no superhuman strength, no immunities, and you’re probably not going to get any better soon.”
Harley looks up, a retort on her lips, but it dies upon her eyes landing on Chase. She stares, eyes wide, at her best friend. “Chase, you-your ears.”
Chase frowns. “What about them?” She asks, reaching up to readjust them. However, when she feels her fingertips meet them, she freezes. Her ears twitch, and a strangled cry escapes her lips as she bolts up, running into the bathroom. She stares at her reflection with wide, horrified eyes.
“I have cat ears!”
“Well, that is what you wished for,” Harley says, obviously trying to keep herself from laughing.
“No wonder my head hurts! These ears are just super sensitive to everything.”
Chase exits the bathroom, and upon Harley meeting her gaze, eyes flicking up to her ears, before meeting her eyes once more, Harley can no longer contain herself.
Harley bursts into laughter, wincing as her sides begin to ache, abdominal pain starting up, causing her to clutch her sides.
“You okay?” Chase asks.
“No, but I’ll manage.” Harley says, pulling out her phone and dialing Dean’s number, “I found something on the coin though, before I puked my guts out.”
“The wishes turn bad,” Dean says as soon as he picks up.
“Trust me. We know,” Harley sighs, putting Dean on speakerphone.
“What happened to you two?”
“Chase is a neko, and we think I have some bloodborne illness. You?’
“That sandwich made me sick.”
“Anyway the reason I called you is because I found out the coin is Babylonian. It’s of the goddess Tiamat.”
“At least we have a starting point now,” Chase says.
***
The four hunters arrived at Wesley Mondale’s house. Sam had figured out he was the first to make a wish last night. Harley rang the doorbell and Hope, Wesley’s fiancée, opened the door.
“Hi! Hope right? We’re the florists.” Harley says flashing her best fake smile and pepping up her attitude.
“Of course! Come in!” Hope says ushering the group inside, “Wes! You didn't tell me that you called the florists for the wedding.”
“Huh?” Wesley says looking as if he just woke up.
“You're the best! Mmm! Ah! I'm gonna go get my folders.” Hope says rushing off.
“Uh? Okay.”
“Wesley, how's it going?” Dean asks.
“It’s ‘Wes’ Aren't you the guys from the health department?”
“Yeah. And florists on the side,” Sam says.
“Plus FBI,” Dean adds.
“And on Thursdays, we're teddy bear doctors,” Chase says.
“And sometimes I’m a vampire. We’re kind of Jacks of all trades,” Harley finishes.
“Huh? Why does she have cat ears?” Wesley asks, pointing at Chase.
Chase frowns, feigning offense. “It’s a medical condition.”
Wesley turns slightly pink, but looks confused still. “Sorry,” he mumbles, keeping his eyes glued to anything except Chase’s “condition”.
“Look, Wes, it doesn’t matter who we are. It matters what we know about you,” Harley says pointedly.
“So, coin collector, huh, Wes?” Sam asks.
“Oh. Yeah. My... grandfather gave them to me,” Wes says.
“Did you happen to lose one of those coins lately? And by ‘lose,’ I mean drop into a wishing well at Lucky Chin's and make a wish on it?” Dean asks.
“No, I – I don't know what you're, uh, talking about.”
Hope comes back with folders overflowing with papers.
“Okay, now. I have a lot of ideas, but, you know, we don't have all the money in the world. Wes is between jobs right now. Means more time for me. You know, I'm thinking a Japanese-y ikebana kind of thing,” Hope says, pulling a picture out of one of the folders.
“Yeah. I can see it,” Dean says trying to get rid of her.
“Yeah. So, Hope, uh, tell us how you two lovebirds met,” Chase suggests.
“Oh, best day of my life,” Hope says.
“I bet,” Harley says, trying her best to refrain from rolling her eyes.
“Yeah! It's the funniest thing. We both grew up here, but I never really knew who he was. Not by name anyway. Until one day last month, it was like I just I just saw him for the first time. He was just... glowing. Oh, just glowing.”
“Uh, babe, can you – can you get us some coffee?” Wes asks.
“Yes. Yeah.”
“Oh. Okay. Okay. Mm-Hmm. Okay. Oh, okay. Oh. Mm-mmm, okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay,” Wes says amidst the many many kisses Hope is giving him. Chase looks away, slightly disgusted and feeling awkward.
“Yeah.”
“Wes, we know. So tell us the truth,” Harley says.
“My – my grandfather found the coin in north Africa, you know, World War II. And, uh, he brought it back. He, um, he said it was a real wish-granting coin, but that nobody should ever use it. Um... It was all I had, and when he died, I thought, "Well, you know what? Why not give the coin a shot?” Wesley explains.
“Yeah, well, now you're gonna wish it back,” Sam demands.
“Oh,” he laughs, “Oh. Ha ha, no, I'm not.”
“If you don’t do something about it, something bad’s gonna happen,” Dean says.
“Something like us,” Chase adds, crossing her arms.
“We really wish you'd come with us,” Dean says, pulling out his gun, then putting it away again.

“I don’t get how anyone could wish for love,” Harley says, starting the flow of conversation.
Chase pauses, momentarily thinking of her answer. “To be honest, I don’t either. I don’t believe in love really, outside of family, so I’m not quite sure it’s something I’d ever think of. I’d probably wish for books.”
“Didn’t you already have a wish?”
“Oh. Right. Man, really wasted that opportunity.”
“Any specific books?”
“All of them?” Chase suggests jokingly. “I don’t think I’d be able to choose. Watch, the bad thing that happens is I get all the books, but I get a panic attack because I know I could never read them all so I die. Or they fall on top of me and crush me. That would be bad too.”
“I mean that’s one way to go. Suck that these wishes go bad though. It would’ve been nice to just have one good one.”
“I understand what you mean,” Chase replies, her ears twitching at the sound of another passing car.
Harley laughs at the twitching ears, but soon regrets it as her stomach flares up again, “Ow! Okay being human kind of sucks.”
“Wow,” Chase says sarcastically. “Because I’ve never told you that before or anything. Because I’ve never expressed dissatisfaction with being human ever.”
“Okay fair, but like all I’ve ever wanted was to be human.”
“That’s also fair, but in the words of my favorite jamaican crustacean, ‘the seaweed is always greener in somebody else’s lake’,” Chase half-sings the quote.
“I was in a production of The Little Mermaid once. I was the little seahorse that follows Triton around.”
“That’s adorable!” Chase exclaims. “How have you never told me that before? We’ve talked about our theatre experiences so many times.”
“I guess I forgot about it amidst the nightmare that was Theatre Arts.”
Chase fake shudders, “Tech week, am I right?”
“I never had a tech week. Sounds exhausting though.”
Chase’s eyes widen as she turns slightly to peer at Harley. “How in the world have you not had tech week, but you’ve been in theatre? Tech week is the bane of my entire existence. It’s the last week of practice right before the show, where you’ve got costumes, lights, sounds, and all the makeup. You run through every scene like fifty times each night, and oh my God, don’t get me started on the backstage stress because your director, no matter how chill normally, is absolutely insane.”
“Well, I didn’t know it was called tech week. And those were my favourite practices.”
Chase shoots Harley a look of concern. “You really aren’t human, man.”
“Well, I am now. So deal with it.”
Chase smiles slightly. “Oh, right.”
The car jerks to the left suddenly as Chase hits something. “What the fuck?” She cries out, looking around wildly to see what she’d hit. “What the hell was that?”
“I don’t know.”
“I didn’t see anything,” Chase mumbles, turning back around in her seat. “Did you?”
“Nah,” Harley shakes her head. “It was probably nothing. Just a speedbump.”
***
Chase and Harley come to a stop in front of Lucky Chin’s. They step out of the vehicle, heading inside to see Wesley and Sam getting out of the Impala, but no Dean.
“Sammy, where’s Dean?”
“Dealing with a runaway child with super strength.”
Chase raises a brow. “Are you… being… facetious?”
Sam shakes his head. “Sadly, no. Anyway, let’s get this over with.”
“Why can’t we get what we want?” Wes practically whines.
“Because life sucks?” Harley answers unsure.
“Yeah, Wes, this is life. And we don’t all get what we want,” Chase says, scratching her ears.
Suddenly a bolt of lightning shoots down from the sky, splintering into three, hitting Sam, Harley, and Chase, knocking them flat on their backs. Their bodies lay still, dead.
***
Sam, Harley, and Chase woke up on the pavement outside of Lucky Chin’s restaurant. Hope walks out as the three are getting up, looking back with a confused glance before continuing on her way. Wes comes out shortly after. He hands Sam the coin, dejected, before walking away.
“Well, I don’t feel like puking anymore,” Harley says.
Chase frantically reaches her hands up into her hair, sighing in relief as she feels no evidence of ears.
“I am never making a wish again,” Harley shudders.
***
The three Winchesters and the one now-no-longer-human, Harley, are all sitting on a bench, squished in next to each other. It barely seems like Sam or Chase are actually sitting on the bench, so much as leaning against the edges as Dean and Harley take up most of the room in the middle. Audrey walks past, normal sized teddy bear in hand; a bandaid had been placed over a bullet sized hole in its head.
Chase waves to Audrey, who waves back, skipping alongside who must be her parents, extremely sunburnt and confused.
“So, uh,” Sam starts, glancing awkwardly around the town. “The coin’s melted down now, so it shouldn’t cause any more problems.”
“Audrey's parents are back from Bali,” Chase points out, nodding her head towards the retreating family. “Looks like all the wishes are gone.”
“And so are we,” Dean says, folding up a newspaper, whose headline reads, ‘Winning Lottery Ticket A Fake’.
The group gets up, each pair heading back to their cars. Dean suddenly stops, causing the girls to look back at him and Sam, who stand next to Baby.
“You guys were right,” he says.
Chase and Harley share a confused look. “About?” Harley asks.
“I shouldn't have lied to you. I do remember everything that happened to me in the Pit. Everything.”
“So talk to us about it,” Sam suggests.
“No,” Dean deadpans.
“Dean, bu-” Chase starts. Harley puts a hand on her arm as Dean holds up a hand, cutting her off. Harley gives her a look, telling her to drop it.
“I won’t lie anymore, but I’m not going to talk about it.”
“Dean, look, you can't just shoulder this thing alone. You got to let us help,” Sam says.
“He’ll talk when he’s ready to talk. No point forcing it.” Harley sighs.
“The things that I saw... there aren't words. There is no forgetting. There's no making it better. Because it is right here,” Dean taps his head, “forever. You guys wouldn't understand. And I could never make you understand. So I am sorry,” Dean says.
Chase gives Dean a smile, small and bittersweet. “It’s okay, Dean. Just know we’re here for you when you need us.”
Dean returns the look, opening the driver’s side car door, about to get in. “I know.”
