semi-dark king merlin au, someone from ealdor tells king cenred about merlin and he is captured and held as a slave in essetir. since merlin despises captivity and servitude, he’d rather be dead and free than alive and in chains so he acts out and pisses people (especially the king) off so they’ll think him too much trouble and kill him. at first they stick to beatings until merlin manages to get his chains around a few necks and now has a body count so they kill him…..only he wakes back up a few hours later and king cenred is Intrigued and keeps him close. merlin keeps acting out but no matter how many times they kill him, he won’t stay dead. merlin has this moment after waking up perfectly fine after his twenty seventh death where he is hopeless and believes there to be no escape, not even thru death. a few other sorcerers in chains come and help him clean up and give him a lil peptalk, realizing him to be emrys, and then they revolt and take over the kingdom and crown merlin as king and now uther is like “wtf” bc his neighboring kingdom who was kinda sorta on his wavelength about sorcery, though uther did not approve of keeping them alive, is now a kingdom ruled by magic. he goes to war with them but with magic running free and fucking emrys on the throne, they don’t make a lot of headway. anyways merthur meet on the battlefield, enemies to lovers, you get it

imagine how much better bruce & jason content would be if they genuinely made it so that jason’s existence in gotham never lets bruce off the hook. you don’t get to forget, bruce wayne. batman.

jason will always be the reminder of bruce’s mistakes, but not in what caused jason’s death rather in everything that came after. jason should not be there to absolve him of his guilt and grief and contradictions. he should be constantly calling bruce out on his hypocrisy and it should be tearing bruce’s mind to shreds. because they BOTH know that there is truth in what jason is saying, whether its re: his post humous treatment of jason as robin or their stances on killing.

bruce only deals with absolutes. he only ever deals in black and white no matter how much his “people can always change” philosophy tries to convince the audience otherwise. because bruce knows in the case of the joker that its just not true, jason knows its not true and the audience knows its not true but the narrative and the writers and bruce himself is trying to gaslight everyone otherwise.

it doesn’t have to be that one is right and the other is wrong, there’s merits to what both are saying in gotham’s reality, but bruce will never, ever admit so and I personally think jason shouldn’t let him off the hook for it.

I think this also comes back to that post where op was saying that jason’s refusal to center himself around batman’s pain was what was seen as “the ultimate betrayal” and he shouldn’t have to! bruce doesn’t deserve it, god knows, and I’d argue he needs someone like jason in his vigilante life to give him that swift kick to the head

A year after moving to our current place we’re moving AGAIN

I don’t know if I’ll have to put things on another break yet. Because we’re just moving downstairs it’s more make sure small things are put in a box for carrying rather than completely packing everything up. We aren’t moving until the end of May though. The main issue is the people that have been living there have been there for like…18 years apparently? So it’s gonna be a lot of cleaning and house repairs;;; I’ll keep yall updated as we get closer to that

Yanqing didnt get manipulated by a heliobi because he feels like hes not good enough/a disappointment to jingyuan AND breakfree from it by realizing that jingyuan was never disappointed in him and has always believed in him from the start and that jingyuan has hopes that he will one day understand why he trains and perfects his swordsmanship for people to call jingyuan a terrible parent

And even so, jingyuan then proceeds to blame HIMSELF for not doing EVEN BETTER when it comes to teaching yanqing and told him not to worry to much about what had transpired

Yanqings worries about not being good enough and wants to make jingyuan proud is very understandable, its like a kid who just wants to make their parents proud in general, and jingyuans worries about yanqing being in grave dangers is also like a parent worrying over their kid regardless of their age, because thats what children and parents are just like in general, no one was wrong in that situation or in any, its just part of life and thats why finding the middle ground is very important as to not make one side feel belittled, but Jingyuan had never held yanqing too tightly till the point yanqing feels trapped, he just worries for the boy, and yanqing had gotten to decide on his own what he wants to be, it was not forced upon him

Not to mention the many instances we see in game or even events that jingyuan cares for yanqing too

Ultimately I KNOWWW being born in 1997 means I'm not really a 90s kid, I didn't grow up in it, but I STILL do remember the turn of the century (however very very vaguely it is) and thus. People born in 2000 and later will always feel young to me. So I will continuously be surprised when I hear that someone I know was born in 2000 or later. Such is my affliction.

She heard me doing things so she came up to the side of her baby bin and blelelelele'd at me until I noticed her. She greets me every morning where we spend the first hour of every day together, her just resting in my hand and me holding her, often gently petting her head and tiny scales. If there is a heaven, that first hour we spend together is it.

She is getting a larger enclosure for her birthday in a month and a half. :D Hopefully I can get it done in time, as I haven't sculpted a custom enclosure before and will be trying some new artistic critiques. I do have experience sculpting though. My biggest worry is the paints and sealing them properly! Art I can do- but food safe art that will be in a moist bioactive enclosure is new for me.
