A slight meme-post lol. I think Hemmer and Uhura would definitely light something on fire if they were put into the Star Wars Universe >:)

I think you might get a chuckle out of this. One of my friends had an idea for the 501st boys getting launched so far out of their universe that they end up meeting the Star Trek universe. The discussion then progressed into “what would happen if the Borg ran into force users.” Which is now on the subject of the Star Wars characters trying to learn how a giant cube can fly through space.
Tumblr media
The problem is... I'm not a Star Trek fan... I know, in general, what the franchise is about, but not nearly enough to get the joke.
Sorry about that.
Thank you for thinking of me while expanding upon idea and sending this ask to me!

I had a dream that Star Wars went public domain. Jedi became a generic sci-fi term for a psychic sword-wielder, like what happened to "blaster" and "hyperdrive" back in the 1940s. Wookiees became creatures that everybody included in their stories like Halflings from The Hobbit, Orcs from The Lord of the Rings, or the Coeurl from The Voyage of the Space Beagle.
Star Trek almost immediately had Jedi and Wookiees in Starfleet, and Warhammer 40,000 simultaneously had them as units in the Imperial Guard. The Trek Jedi had phaser-sabers and division-colored robes, and the Warhammer ones had power swords and more intricately-detailed robes. Wookiees were exactly the same in every universe.

Star Trek Wars
Trying to escape some remnant of the Empire, Luke jump to hyperspace a bit too close from a Black Hole. When he emerge into regular space, his hyperdrive is fried and his computer can't say were he is in the galaxy. In fact, it seems he actually jumped galaxy. With no frame of reference he doesn't know he also traveled through time.
Fortunately, a huge spacecraft soon arrives. Communication between ship take some time to establish, but with the help of R2 (and presumably from the people on the ship working on the problem too), they are able to establish audio contact. The troubles aren't over, however, since they don't speak the same language or any language known to Luke, who regret the absence of 3PO. Finally, the huge space craft decide too invite Luke to fly his X-Wing into the shuttle bay, through means of elaborate shuttle dance. Luke, having little options at the moment and sensing no ill intention from the people of the big ship, accept. With the help of a woman which Luke later learned she was counselor Deanna Troi, Luke's language is analyse by the computer of the space craft named Enterprise. R2's "binary" language is also deciphered and know Luke can hear him speak in basic, which is weird. He suspected his robotic friend had a flourished language but he did know half of it as it turns out. R2 is equally weirded out to hear Luke speak in binary. Picard allow Luke to stay on board as emissary of another culture, and promise to help him get back to his galaxy if the occasion arise. It might take a while. Luke allow the engineer of the Enterprise to have a look at his X-Wing. Geordi is baffled as it is not like anything he has seen before. Even stranger than Borg tech. Luke learn about the federation of planet and is amazed by the post-scarcity society in place on earth. Also by the replicator. He spend a not insignifiant among of time trying to make it replicate blue milk. Data and R2 have long conversations about their experiences as robotic sentient being. Along the way, the Enterprise stubble upon a new civilisation with some fucked up shit going on. Luke want to do something about it. Picard explain to him the prime directive.
Luke is like "You know what, I'm not Starfleet."
Picard is like: "I can't let you go down there wreck havoc, I would violate the prime directive by proxy."
Luke is like: "Yeah well, try and stop me then."
Obviously Luke gets down there, solves the problem of the day. Picard is pissed off. Say if Luke is going to be like this he can't let him stay on the Enterprise. He still commit to help Luke go back to his galaxy if he find something useful while exploring the galaxy. Luke says well if that's how it is, you can leave me to the nearest outpost, because I can't let injustice happen doing nothing, so it will happen again. Luke and R2 are left at the space station DS9. He make friends with Jadzia, Worf (Worf immediately respect him as a warrior), Quarks (he missed having a scumbag in his life), Garak, even Benjamin once they get to know each other a bit better. He has an interesting relationship with Kira. They talk about religion, fighting an empire, being in the resistance, etc... They flirt a bit but nothing come out of it. Partly because Luke learn about the Maquis at some point and decide to go check on them.
In the Maquis he meet Chakotay and join his crew, just before they are sent at in the delta quadrant. It baffle him to learn the voyage home is suppose to be 70 years long. Sadly he doesn't know enough about hyperdrives to help with that. He has a lot of heated discutions about the prime directives with Janeway, and he end up in the bring a few times for disobeying orders, though nothing serious enough Janeway would actually leaves him behind. He plays with the limits often enough though. All in all, even Janeway get a quite nicer experience than normal out of the arrangement, and the Voyager even arrives home in half the time. At home, with the data from Voyager and the reverse engineering done on the X-Wing's hyperdrive by Geordi, a solution is found to send Luke in his galaxy far far away. Luke thanks everyone for the help and the experience, and come back to the new republic with a lot of interesting idea for a new form of government and society, and a stolen replicator.

I am not going to make a My Little Pony and Star Wars crossover fanart because where does it end? Star Wars already has so many aliens that are nonhuman, what aliens do you make pony like? and how? do you only apply the ponification to humans? and then, if you do that, where do the other creatures in the mlp world fit in? there’s not enough of them to cover all of the Star Wars aliens, or even just the bipeds. and you can’t only do it to some of them. and then there is the problem of how do they hold lightsabers? my standard idea for ponies with weapons of putting it where a jousting pole would go does not reflect the way that light sabers are used. And making them float in the air next to the pony is just not an acceptable solution. if you come into the comments suggesting that they hold it with their mouths, or with their hooves, i’ll kill you. also, what of the force? The Star Wars magic orbits so heavily around making things float, and so does the my little pony magic. there’s not really a graceful way to combine those two things.
with the Star Trek crossover that I keep doing, it was really easy to just make all of the aliens the different equine races. all of the aliens in Star Trek are already very similar to humans and there aren’t that many of them. at least not if you’re just making main characters.

Fic rec: Off the charts
by wanderingjedihistorian (RangerJedi67)
Feeling sad and achy today, so re-reading some fic favorites. Figured I could rec this nice Star Trek/Star Wars: The Clone Wars while I'm at it.
Tumblr media
This meeting between Obi-wan Kenobi and Cody's Negotiator with the Nu!Trek Enterprise under Kirk, Spock and McCoy is exactly the kind of cosy weird happenings and "how did they get here?"-mystery that lifts a low mood.
Both crews are depicted really well, with their different strengths and attitudes shown. The Clone Wars gang end up in the Trek-universe, so they have a respite from their war, but of course they need to find a way back... but not before some secrets are revealed
There's a compassionate and grumpy Doctor McCoy re the lack of sentient rights for the clone troopers, mutual nerding out and amazement about the technology (transporters!) and magic (The Force!!) There's Scotty finding a new ship to get intimate with – even if nothing ever compares to the lady of his heart. Fun is had with OC clone medic Bones' name, as is only right to do. It's has two sweet (mostly background) ships (Obi-wan/Cody & Kirk/McCoy) and a good Spock.
I like that they don't start shooting at each other, and how the story keeps the ensemble vibe of a good Trek episode, with the lingering threats and conspiracy underneath that characterize TCW.
I think Tumblr still shadowbans linked posts? So I'll self-reblergh and link in my reply

will not stop thinking about star wars x star trek because see, you see, it's star trek but the enterprise comes across a wormhole and there's a damaged shuttle of unknown design and it's drifting and they're like oh we have to help them so they do and it's a small group of mandalorians who were trying to escape the empire so they went into the unknown regions and the chiss asendancy didn't want them there and while running away they ran into a wormhole and ended up in the federation and now you've got mandalorians talking to kirk and spock and bones and some random engineer is now obsessed with beskar and sulu gets a lightsaber
