Every day I am so thankful that my parents both passed before the Trump era. I am sorry Dad didn’t get to see the Obama presidency, though, since they are distant cousins. He would have gotten such a kick out of that.

They both lived through the Depression and WW II (Dad was a medic in the Pacific) and were staunch Democrats their entire lives. It would have made them both sick to see what has happened to the federal government 😔

My WWII, “Greatest Generation” grandparents did not go all over the world grinding to kill fascists and Nazis so privileged, white, assholes could become even more rich and privileged by destroying constitutional checks and balances and using “alternate facts” to make the USA a fascist police state. My aunties did not design and build bombs to crush fascist regimes and march for the ERA and voting rights to have bodily autonomy stripped from half the population and family planning gutted. And my native ancestors did not get marched across the USA in a Trail of Tears to have a bunch of idiots claim that they are not descended from immigrants too and that the history of this place starts with colonizers and that they can just deport you if they want.

Fuck every single Republican who supports this. May their soul rot in a void alone for all eternity.
