rad book review time because last week i got the new taz gn early and eleventh hour is my favorite arc so i wanted to jot down a couple of my thoughts on the book

one thing is WOW this one is like a whole 100 pages longer than crystal kingdom and petals to the metal… it makes sense tho considering we are entering the latter half of the story. the previously on page is super cute i love the artwork….

first of all designs …. and visuals…. the gns always have really vibrant colors and this has some very nice warm color palates which i love….

i have my ummm gripes with some designs in the gns to say the least bur i actually really loved most in here they were super good. also i liked the thbs cowboy out fits that’s all i will say on the main 3’s designs (clenching fist) i loved cassidy istus and ren

new scene at the start i loved that a lot … i will gobble up any redrobe foreshadowing i can get

THEY ADDED THE JOHANN AND VOIDFISH PART YAAAY!!!! i wish he played his harp tho like in the podcast…

i feel like the way they moved things around to fit the format was rlly well done here on my first read i was like oh my god they cut out the whole lunar interlude but they didn’t!!! i love how they incorporated it in between the loops a lot!!!!!!

nailed this scene i think … very pretty page so i will put it here

i loved the 100+ chapter gag i like a lot of the added gags and the jokes that were kept in too

the diary of sheriff issak scene did not hit for me like it did in the podcast ok………..it’s alright but they changed the diary entry soooo much and didn’t flow as well imo…. i am not a fan of how much they slightly/completely alter a lot of lines from the show randomly but idk maybe they did it for a reason shrug

more nitpicky than anything: i love the chalice scene and the lup foreshadowing made me crazy but i wish the memory montage displayed taakos childhood of moving from place to place/not having a stable home better as it’s pretty important to his character

also nitpicky but i love the magnus redrobe scene a lot still BUT i wish they kept the part where he looks at it after june gave it to him and we don’t see it til later… idk why it’s changed but i think it would’ve been cool to see his silent reaction before we get to see what’s on the page…

ok that’s all for now…. these are just my initial thoughts after 2 reads (last monday and today) so my opinions could change but overall this one was probably a 8.5/10 best tazgn so far for me cant wait for the suffering game 🕺🕺🕺🕺

Since my doctor told me I need to be monitoring my iron levels as well as my blood pressure, I've been making more of an effort to change our diet and add more vegetables. It definitely doesn't hurt that the kids are getting more vegetables added to their diet, and since I ingredient prep for lunch and dinner whilst making breakfast they can help me in the washing, peeling, and cutting (for the older kids) Since they're always finding reasons to be close to me (and ask a million and one questions), I figured why not make it an enriching experience for everyone involved.

Since being told that my pre-eclampsia could cause complications for me and baby, I've added more LISS (low-intensity steady-state) workouts to my regimen. My doctor suggested it, since I do take walks around the neighbourhood at least twice a week with either Casandra, one of the other girls, one of the other relatives, or a friend from church; I've now upped them to at least 5 times a week for at least 30 minutes a day. I'm doing all I can do keep this baby inside until after Parker and Lana's wedding, I would rather be 9 months pregnant at an outdoor wedding than with a fussy newborn.

Barrett surprised me one night and got his sisters to babysit the kids whilst he took me out to dinner for Love Day. We try to do date nights often, most times they consist of us having dinner at home after the kids have gone to bed, doing a devotional together, or even a candlelight dinner with some food that we'll order in from a restaurant we like. Getting to dress up and go out is always a fun time, this time we did dinner at Gastro Thyme Provisions. We got to reminiscing about our time together and the plans we've got for the future, who would've thought that we'd be married for almost 10 years with soon-to-be 10 children.

I knew I was forgetting something lol. I cannot stress this enough: Gus didn't actually need to be in the background during Willow's and Hunter's bonding moment. It was completely unnecessary for him to be there:

Okay so... another thing I need to talk about is that people dont realize why Willow is suddenly getting "development" in FTF. Again, she is being used to develop Hunter BECAUSE LUZ IS UNAVAILABLE. The writers want to focus on Luz's relationship with her mother, therefore she can't help Hunter with his current emotional issue. This is where Willow comes in rather than Gus. Hunter has already had a bonding moment like this Gus, so it'd be redundant to give them another one. Willow hasn't actually had a bonding episode with Hunter yet. ASIAS is about Hunter becoming friends with Willow and Gus - Hunter only helps them because he doesn't want their palismen to die. Labyrinth Runners is a Hunter and Gus episode where they both sort out their problems with each other. So, it makes sense for Hunter to have a similar bonding moment with Willow this time around. But it's so fucking funny that they put Gus in the background during their bonding moment because he absolutely didnt need to be there. He could have gone with Amity. Like oh my god... they literally made Matt go with Amity because they needed someone to cast an illusion spell for Amity - which could have been done by Gus. I cannot stress enough how Gus didnt actually need to be with Willow and Hunter. This is so, so fucking funny omg. The writers were like NOPE Hunter and Willow will not get alone time together.
