Man. Thinking about how me being AroAcespec really connects with my sefshipping.
Like. It took me putting âWeâll Never Have Sexâ by Leith Ross on my AroAce playlist and Iâm in shambles just. Considering my f/os not minding my asexuality or even realizing theyâre asexual because of me just makes me. An emotional mess <3
Like. My identity as someone on the AroAce spectrum has really made it so if I were to ever date irl again it would have to be with someone on the Ace spectrum at least cause I donât think I could handle being with an Allo person longterm unfortunately. And just the idea of being in a long term loving and doating relationship brings me such joy even if I doubt Iâll find that for myself in real life, at least not easily.
Even just headcanoning a lot of my f/os as similar to me makes me feel so. Idk. Comforted? Like theyâd understand. Like thats an element of our relationship thatâs established and makes our situation unique. Idk it brings me a lot of security and joy.

This photo captures a glimpse of my struggle as a displaced father living under harsh conditions in Gaza. Here, I am trying, amidst destruction and displacement, to prepare a modest meal for my family using a makeshift stove crafted from salvaged materials. ðð¥ð ïž
This image reflects just a small part of our reality; we live in a small tent that barely protects my children from the cold nights âïžð or the scorching heat of the day âïžð¥. My children, Nada (7 years old) ðšðâš, Mohammed (5 years old) ððð, and Huda (2 years old) ðŒð¢ð, suffer from hunger ðð and fear every single day ðð£. They have no safe place to play, no toys, and no stability in their lives.
As a father, I do my best to provide for them, even though I suffer from a chronic illness ð¥ð€ð that makes our situation even more challenging. But the greatest pain lies in watching my children grow up amidst this destruction, constant fear, and hopelessness. ð¢ððïž

i think ppl who are super online or into fandom should watch/read/etc something without ever touching fandom discourse or making aus or shipping characters just like every once in a while
#this isnât a diss at shipping or aus#i participate in that sometimes#and its fun#im mostly saying like#sometimes people seem to get way too engrossed in the idea of fandom to the point its not even about enjoying the source material atp#and it also seems to result in fans acting like the creators of things have some obligation#to keep in mind a fandom or how a fandom would feel ab their thing#and i think thatâs a stupid mindset#a writer should not be like i better specify this specific thing so thereâs not meaningless discourse about it on tumblr!#âïžðð¥#i just think itâs not particularly good to get really into a fandom of anything and everything you consume#mostly bc of the way fandoms are nowadays#also maybe iâm a bit tired of seeing really good series/whatever turned into au/shipping fodder and nothing else#if youâre going to do that at least pretend you like the source material outside of the character designs#idk im rambling i might make this a more cohesive post later lawl
