How to Look Like an Heiress: Channeling a Gossip Girl Aesthetic for 2025
There’s something utterly captivating about the effortlessly chic heiress lifestyle. Think Gossip Girl, where the Upper East Side girls never look anything less than perfectly polished, always with a cool, calm air of sophistication. But looking like an heiress isn't just about wearing designer labels—it's about cultivating an entire lifestyle that exudes elegance, confidence, and, yes, a bit of mystery.
If you’ve ever wanted to channel that "heiress" vibe—graceful, high-class, and yes, just a little bit untouchable—this post is for you. Whether you’re dreaming of your own Upper East Side moment or simply want to embody the refined, effortless style of your favorite heiresses, here’s your guide to creating a Gossip Girl-inspired look and aura that screams luxury, sophistication, and timeless elegance.
Step 1: Curate Your Wardrobe Like a True Heiress
The first step to achieving that heiress aesthetic? A wardrobe that reflects both opulence and sophistication. The key is to focus on timeless pieces that exude refinement, without being too “in-your-face” or flashy. Think understated luxury—clothing that speaks volumes without needing to shout.
Key Wardrobe Pieces:
Tailored Blazers and Coats: Channel Blair Waldorf with fitted, structured blazers and luxurious coats. Whether it's a classic trench coat or a long wool coat, make sure it’s perfectly tailored for that "moneyed" look.
Silk and Cashmere: Opt for silk blouses, cashmere sweaters, and other soft, high-quality fabrics. These textures feel luxurious and immediately elevate your style.
The Little Black Dress: A black dress that fits you like a glove will never fail you. Whether for a cocktail party or a lunch date, it's an essential piece that whispers sophistication.
Pencil Skirts and High-Waisted Pants: These styles emphasize an elegant silhouette, giving you that polished, chic appearance that an heiress is known for.
Statement Accessories: Think oversized sunglasses (think Blair Waldorf) and pearls or gold jewelry for a touch of luxury. A vintage Chanel bag or sleek leather tote will add that final polish.
Action Steps:
Invest in a few high-quality, timeless pieces that are versatile and can be worn season after season.
Keep your wardrobe neutral with pops of color like soft pastels, rich jewel tones, and occasional bold statements like red lips or a patterned scarf.
Step 2: Perfect Your Hair and Makeup: Polished, Not Overdone
An heiress never looks too done up, yet her look is always immaculate. Think glossy, sleek hair and makeup that enhances natural beauty, rather than masks it. It’s about subtlety and refinement.
Key Hair Looks:
Sleek, Polished Waves: Soft, defined waves that bounce with volume and shine. Think Blair Waldorf's iconic headband-and-hair combination—hair should always look well-maintained but not overly styled.
Perfectly Groomed Updos: For special occasions, a chic chignon or a low, soft bun creates a polished look. These hairstyles exude sophistication and show that you know how to command attention without trying too hard.
Natural Shine: Make sure your hair has a healthy shine, whether through regular trims, deep conditioning treatments, or products that add gloss.
Key Makeup Looks:
Flawless Complexion: A soft, glowing foundation and concealer for a fresh-faced, porcelain look. Think Blair's perfect, yet natural base.
Subtle, Soft Eyes: Opt for neutral tones on the eyes—think soft browns, taupes, or light golds for a natural, bright-eyed effect. A little eyeliner and voluminous mascara go a long way.
The Perfect Lip: A soft pink or a bold red lip is the classic heiress go-to. A bold lip like Blair's signature red can be a powerful statement without being overdone.
Action Steps:
Keep makeup simple but elegant—think less about trends, and more about classic beauty.
Always make sure your hair is well-groomed, whether it’s in a sleek ponytail or soft waves.
Step 3: Cultivate a Rich Social Life and an Air of Mystery
Looking like an heiress isn’t just about what you wear—it’s about how you carry yourself and the world you move through. Heiresses tend to have a sophisticated social calendar, attending exclusive events and cultivating an air of mystique. You don’t have to be a socialite to create this aura, but you can certainly curate your lifestyle to project elegance and charm.
Social Tips:
Attend High-End Events: Whether it’s a charity gala, a rooftop cocktail party, or a private art gallery opening, make it a point to attend upscale events that align with your image. It’s about being seen at the right places, looking effortless and always poised.
Keep Some Things Private: Heiresses are often mysterious—they don’t reveal every detail of their lives. Keep some of your personal world behind closed doors, and be selective about what you share. Cultivate an aura of exclusivity and intrigue.
Engage in Intellectual Conversations: Being an heiress isn’t just about fashion—it’s also about being well-rounded and cultured. Cultivate interests in the arts, literature, or current events. This will help elevate your social presence and make you someone worth knowing.
Action Steps:
Be selective about the events and people you engage with, always aiming for environments that reflect sophistication.
Maintain a bit of mystery about your personal life. Cultivate intrigue by keeping certain details private or only sharing them with a select few.
Step 4: Develop Confidence with Class
True heiresses—like Serena van der Woodsen or Blair Waldorf—radiate confidence, but it’s never brash or overly showy. They hold themselves with poise, charm, and grace. When you move through the world with confidence, elegance follows naturally.
Confidence Tips:
Master the Art of Conversation: Heiresses are poised and graceful in conversations. Always listen attentively, make eye contact, and speak with clarity and confidence. Avoid interrupting and focus on being an active participant in every conversation.
Carry Yourself with Grace: Stand tall, walk with purpose, and move through spaces as though you belong there. Confidence is not loud; it’s quiet, unshakable, and comfortable in one’s own skin.
Be Mindful of Your Etiquette: Know the rules of etiquette—whether it’s how to set a table, proper dining manners, or how to address different social settings. A woman who knows these unspoken rules always carries herself with grace.
Action Steps:
Stand tall and move with intention—confidence is key.
Be mindful of your body language and posture. Walk and sit with poise.
Step 5: Invest in Quality, Not Quantity
When you look at a true heiress, you’ll notice she has a wardrobe full of timeless, high-quality pieces—not a closet full of trendy items. It’s not about having a lot, but about having the right items that will last for years to come.
Investment Pieces:
Luxury Accessories: Think leather handbags, silk scarves, or a classic watch. These pieces are subtle status symbols and instantly elevate any outfit.
Quality Shoes: Opt for investment shoes in neutral tones—think pointed-toe pumps, classic flats, or heeled boots. They should be well-crafted and versatile enough to pair with any look.
Vintage Pieces: Vintage pieces from high-end brands add a unique, sophisticated flair to your wardrobe. Look for items that tell a story, whether it’s a vintage Chanel jacket or a classic diamond necklace.
Action Steps:
Focus on building a timeless, well-edited wardrobe with high-quality pieces.
Invest in items that hold their value and can be worn for years to come.
Step 6: Master the Art of Subtle Luxury
Finally, remember that luxury isn’t about showing off—it’s about feeling luxurious without shouting it from the rooftops. Heiresses know that the most exquisite things are often the most understated. Think luxurious but subtle: a well-cut suit, a glass of champagne, an evening of quiet reflection in an upscale restaurant.
Action Steps:
Focus on the details—an heirloom bracelet, a fine bottle of wine, a luxurious piece of furniture—all these little elements combine to create an overall feeling of richness and sophistication.
Cultivate an aura of effortless luxury. Whether it's through your surroundings, your mindset, or your wardrobe, everything should feel meticulously curated.
Conclusion: Live Like an Heiress, Own Your Elegance
Looking like an heiress isn’t about having billions in the bank. It’s about adopting a mindset, a lifestyle, and an aesthetic that exude sophistication, grace, and confidence. By curating your wardrobe, perfecting your grooming routine, attending the right events, and embodying timeless elegance, you’ll start to embody the chic heiress vibe that makes everyone turn their heads.
Remember, it’s all about confidence, quality over quantity, and moving through the world with the grace of someone who knows their worth.

HEAVEN CAN WAIT | A.H.
pairing: groundskeeper!aaron x heiress!reader
word count: 1.5k words
warning: nothing? you simply have to listen to heaven can wait by dean martin as homework
summary: in a form of contained rebellion, you move to a little cottage on a farm in the middle of nowhere to be alone, well alone with the handsome groundskeeper you agreed to keep around to chase the critters away
Dinner was plain but tasteful, a simple recipe you'd found in the old cooking book Aaron found while cleaning the place before you moved in. The silence was beginning to get more bearable during dinner, soft smiles and quick glances filling the time between forks scraping against plates and talkative cows rebelling against the moon. Aaron was getting more comfortable spending time in the main house with you instead of retreating to his cabin at night. Despite your days being everything you'd dreamt of, the picture of peace, nights were still a challenge. The idea of having no company besides your own thoughts and the occasional wandering donkey strolling by was still something to get used to. You'd been finding reasons to have him over at night, a creaking floor, a window that wouldn't close, really whatever you'd discovered during the day- though soon enough late dinners seemed an easier offer than handy work at midnight.
"Do you think it's getting better?" you dared, being adventurous between a bite of pasta, it startled him despite the delicate delivery, his mouth full and bread roll still caught between his teeth- you smiled shyly. "My cooking," you explained and he had some time to think about it as he chewed.
"It's never been too bad," he offered and you had to admit, it was an exciting prospect, having a proper conversation with him.
"Really?" he hummed as an answer, focusing back on his plate, eyes robbed from your view. He really wasn't one for needless pleasantries.
You weren't sure where your father found him, though everything you knew about him was partly fabricated by imaginative daydreaming, you felt drawn to him like no one ever before. He was kind, in ways you weren't used to men being kind, gentle in ways that belonged to novels. You wanted to know all that there is to him, though mystery has its appeals, it was odd being so consumed by thoughts of someone who was still mostly a stranger. You'd thought it merely loneliness, disconnection from the world, too much time spent reading the vintage novels of buried authors that had a way of painting pictures too soft and romantic.
For a while, you'd found yourself comparing him to the likes of Franz Kafka, though seemingly not as disturbed, definitely as morbidly unwilling to see the interest of his own character, the romance of his budding presence. Maybe even the lyricism of Chet Baker, equal parts devotion as melancholy. He was handsome, more so on the colder days when he'd be in too much of a rush to rid the chiseled features of his face of the stubble climbing past his lips. When he'd wrap himself in a thick turtle neck sweater, granting you freedom from being distracted by the flow of his neck to his shoulders, much like the smooth melodies, the soft harmonies of wordlessness of Ella Fitzgerald. You couldn't understand, how you'd allowed yourself such pleasantries of thinking, such poetic comparisons when you were sure he'd not considered the same.
"Fall is starting soon," he spoke over his glass of wine, and with his scarf discarded when he sat down you found a moment of curiosity with the veins in his neck, the movement of his adam's apple. "I imagine you'd want me to come over sooner in the afternoon?" you lifted a brow, momentarily wondering about the request and then looking towards the door, the wind not agreeing with the aged wood, the sound something awful as you attempted to look back at Aaron who offered you something like a smirk when you did.
"What?" you breathed, tugged at the loose cardigan around your shoulders, now very much aware of the wind and the trees brushing against the window and the tiles you now regretted embracing with bare feet.
"The sun sets earlier this time of the year," he explained with foreign casualty, the small kitchen table making it easy for him to reach over and take your empty plate, and you stole a second to settle when he brushed past your should on his way to the sink. "The wind makes the power unstable, but I have candles to spare since you're uncomfortable with the dark and I'd bring over some wood for a fire since you get cold so easily."
You'd be embarrassed if you weren't so enlightened, in awe by his prolific insights into your being, it made you wonder perhaps if he was just as curious about you as you were about him. Though your father had to give him at least somewhat of a background regarding why you'd settled here, you wondered if he had to creatively fill the blank pages too.
"I'd have to learn to make soup, or stew at least," you decided not to take note of his observations, standing instead to take the empty pot and half-full bottle of wine from the table. "If I remember correctly you mentioned something about being able to make bread," he scoffed, a familiar sound, more so than his voice, when he spoke it never seemed to sound the same, always tinted with whatever he was doing or feeling, you'd speak to him so scarcely that every time felt like a different person.
"Sourdough," of course, he'd brought you some in the first week you'd moved here when you weren't as comfortable with the recipe book yet. "It would be perfect with your stew," he didn't see your shy smile, it had been swallowed by the time you went to stand next to him, fingers burning at the accidental contact when he took the pot from you to wash it as well.
You'd turned the record player on earlier, a gift from your mother, a set of records from the sixties to go with it, you'd turned on the first one that you found, it tended to get lost around Aaron, the volume of his presence something deafening despite his silence. Now, however, it felt too loud, transportive in its harmonies of love and longing and time frozen somewhere in a notebook full of souls and lyrics. It drifted through the cold stone cottage like leaves would move with a breeze and hummed through your nerves like poetry had been written into your veins in simple seconds. Forced you to savour it before it ended and though Aaron's hands were still busy in the sink you stole a glance to see him lost in thought, eyes glazed in memory maybe, a fantasy and you felt like you knew everything there is to know in that second.
Desires was like something written by Maya Angelou, completely consuming, too much dept to mention them out loud but you realized the reason Aaron was such an anomaly to you was because of the desire your heart had hidden in simple out-of-reach visions. His arms wrapped around you in a laughably uncharacteristic way, hands sprawled out over the wrinkles in your sundress, daringly close to the strings that hold it together. Eyes closed, conscious dreaming as his voice drawls lowly by your ear, lips brushing your skin, shivers up your spine, airless like you were floating about the room instead of moving ever so slowly to the music. There was a numbness to his touch, phantom, as if your body wasn't yours, as if his fingers weren't real. You wondered if it could last forever, how long the song would play, when the record would stop, you wondered if reality was really worth all of that if a second of hallucinatory bliss could spread through your body like fire, burning through every muscle.
"Would you like to stay?" you cleared your throat, voice unsteady somehow and you weren't sure what you were hoping for, truly you'd experience much more of heaven in your head, in the pages of your journal. "The cake is still too hot for me to decorate it."
"I could stay," he agreed and you truly used every ounce of willpower not to look as he dried his hands, a soft smile, an unfamiliar promise as you caught the briefest glance at your lips, up your face, back to the wall. "I've been meaning to fix your bookshelf for all the new novels you found at the market," you wanted to object, to suggest that he didn't have to work, and could just stay for a while, but he was walking off into your room already. About halfway through your mumbled musings while folding the tablecloth and napkins, he stuck his head out from the hall. "Why don't you restart the record before you come this side," you only had it in you to nod with a smile, hoping it didn't seem too eager, too hopeful. You did as he asked and with a little twirl, you grabbed your book from the coffee table to go watch him work.
Heaven can wait.

🔹🔷🔹Introducing the incredible Trucy Wright! 🔹🔷🔹
This cosplay was such a labor of love for me. I spent about four years start to finish (and honestly there’s still small things I’m going to be changing and adding). She’s finally wearable and I couldn’t be happier with how she turned out.
Here’s a run down on the costume:
Dress: patterned by me. Features princess seams and a diamond neckline that connects to a necklace that holds it up like a halter strap. Each button is a vintage shank button that I put two colors of blue crystal beads into (more pics of everything will come later). There’s a vintage metal toothed invisible zip down the back.
Cape: patterned by me. Features 11 double sided diamonds with card suits on them. Each card suit was machine appliquéd on each side (meaning I did 21 diamonds total 😭). Each diamond has a beaded ribbon trim across the top on the outside and a jingle bell on the bottom. Fabric is a lovely crepe satin.
Purse: blue and white cow leather sourced from theleatherguy.org. I was very particular about the bag being genuine leather and not pleather because I have ethical thoughts against pleather. The lining is blue diamond patterned cotton and the hardware comes from an old purse my grandma was going to throw away
Wig: arda wig in the style eowyn. This is one of my first times styling an anime wig and I’m really happy with it
Accessories: I got a buckram top hat base from hats by leko online. I then followed a tutorial online for how to cover it in the same blue crepe satin as the cape. If anyone wants more details on that lmk ^-^. scarf and gloves from Amazon. Earrings are the same vintage shank buttons I’ve made into earrings.
A couple extra pics for reading this far :D

New Tseng Headcanons!!
Tseng being a smug villain about blowing up the Sector 7 support pillar and dooming thousands to death, but also holding on to Aerith's letters for Zack because he can't bear to throw them away, which would be tantamount to admitting Zack is really gone. He's complicated.
Tseng can see the Whispers but is gaslighting Rufus about it to amuse himself
this is because Tseng is all ice-cold badass on the surface (like it's a matter of legend that he may have ever smiled once) but he's an absolute menace and he's secretly clowning everyone
it was him who stuck gum on the bottom of all of Reno's shoes
it was him who replaced Elena's bullets with blanks that one time so she thought she was a terrible shot for a whole day
it was him who anonymously circulated those embarrassing photos of Rude when he had his MC Hammer phase as a teen (Rude was not embarrassed in the least and maintains that he looked cool in parachute pants, with a flat-top fade)
it was him who threw a red scarf in with Rufus' laundry when they were in Junon and it was the only suit he brought, so he had to do a press conference in bright pink
it was him who taught Darkstar to bark wildly whenever Scarlet says the word "boring" or Hojo says the word "fascinating"
Tseng actually laughs really easily and has a very childish sense of humor. a lot of the times that he's being all silent and stoic and mysterious, it's because he literally has to bite his tongue to stop himself laughing at some stupid shit, and he can't talk while he's doing that
no one but Tseng's mother has ever actually heard him laugh (like really laugh not the villain laugh he does when he's making a theatrical scene about some evil shit he's up to)
Tseng smokes when he's stressed. no one in the fucking world knows about it and they never will. there is never even a molecule of lingering scent on him ever. the lengths he has to go to in order to accomplish this are….excessive, since no one would give a shit if they knew he smoked. he just doesn't like anyone knowing anything about him
on that note, no one knows where he actually lives. he keeps multiple dummy addresses on file with Shinra to throw the HR people off. the other Turks can't even figure it out because he always spots them when they try to tail him. like from 200 yards that asshole is supernatural or something
he considered Zack his best friend because they had several missions together and exchanged multiple sentences outside of work, due to their both caring for Aerith. it destroyed him that he failed to save Zack and he became even more cold, detached, and emotionally unavailable because of it. no one ever noticed any of this because he's a goddamn pro
he still has the letters
he's a huge dorky ridiculous Vincent Valentine fangirl and the secret president of the (admittedly very small) fan club
the fan club is called the TV Club, as in Turk Valentine, because that makes it sound like boring nerd shit that no one would be curious about if it happened to come up somehow
most of the TV Club members are retired Shinra employees who had crushes on Vincent back in the day, before he disappeared. the conspiracy theories regarding him being alive rival those of the famous Elvis truthers, and some of them get weirdly close to the real facts (those ones ironically are the most laughed at and least believed theories)
there is some very well written but anonymous reader-insert Rookie Turk x Agent Valentine fanfic on their message board, but no one can prove who wrote it
Veld is also in the fan club
so is Sephiroth for reasons currently unknown
people say Tseng's Turk Valentine cosplay is absolutely stunning (mostly because he's also beautiful, black-haired, and Wutaian) but they have no idea how how very much painstakingly historically accurate detail is in it. he had the suit custom tailored from a vintage midnight-blue worsted wool fabric that he had to hunt down because it's not in production anymore
he actually checked Vincent's old service sidearm out of the Shinra armory on supposed official Turk business to go with the costume even though everyone thought it was a replica, because real weapons are not allowed at the convention center. he knew. that was enough.
he wore the costume for the office halloween party, one year, but everyone at work just thought he got a new suit. Reno almost had a brain aneurysm over even that much, though, so it's probably for the best that they didn't notice.
however, the fact that they didn't notice the very obvious blood-red contact lenses made him deeply worried for the future of the Turks. everyone was required to attend remedial espionage training the next week, much to their bitching and moaning
@soundcrusher tagging you cause you said that you wanted to see this silliness. you brought it upon yourself! 🖤

Finding Your True Archetype Part 1: Spring
This is the first post in a series where I copy and paste information from the stylist David Zyla's book Color Your Style. His archetype system covers way more different types of woman than the quizzes you find online that have 5-10 results and he gives you advice on styling yourself for your archetype. I never 100% related to any of those online quiz results but I instantly felt very seen when I read about a certain Archetype in Zyla's book.
Zyla categorises his different archetypes into four categories: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. This post will only discuss the Spring archetypes, but I hope to make posts for the other archetypes soon. If you don't find your archetype in this post, you likely will in a future post.
Terminology Zyla uses throughout the book to help you understand this post better:
First Base: The color found in the ring around your iris; your most formal and powerful neutral; your version of black .
Second Base: The color taken from the darkest shade of your hair; a warmer and less formal neutral; your version of brown.
Third Base: The color seen in the lightest version of your hair; a playful and informal neutral; your version of khaki.
Essence Color: The color that harmonizes your skin tones and reveals your most genuine, open, and essential self; your version of white; wear it when you are having an intimate conversation, when you are meditating, or when you want to be completely open and honest.
Romantic Color: The color reflected by your flushed skin, which reveals your passion, your sexual energy, and your romantic self; your version of red; wear it on a hot date, a romantic evening, or any time you want your passion to show.
Dramatic Color: The color taken from the shade of your veins, which shows your power, your charisma, and your sense of authority; your version of blue; wear it on a job interview, for a formal presentation, or any time you want to make a strong impression.
Vital Spring: The Prom Queen
Celebrities: Kristin Davis, Eva Longoria, Susan Lucci, Rachael Ray.
Motto: “That sounds like fun!”
Secret Superpower: Charm, charm, and more charm. The world’s hostess! Invite a Vital Spring to your dinner party and you guarantee a great evening for all: She will keep the crowd entertained while you are slaving in the kitchen.
Kryptonite: When it’s no longer fun, she often doesn’t want to play anymore.
Nature Image: Zinnias, French parrot tulips, Gerbera daisies, pompoms.
Artists: Mondrian and Matisse for the high-contrast primary colors.
Charming Contrasts: High-contrast outfits and accessories will always make the Prom Queen look terrific—a red scarf to set off a black coat, or white polka dots on a blueberry-colored umbrella. Her look is even better in “surprise” contrast that leads you to expect the unexpected. She might consider a vivid dramatic-colored coat lining, or a First Base outfit and shoes punctuated with a romantic-colored handbag, or an energy-colored enamel charm on her bracelet.
Fabulous Fabrics: The fabrics are crisp and include cotton piqué, cotton sateen, faille, bouclé, patent leather, and satin.
Signature Scent: Citrus: It’s brisk, bold, and does not linger.
Must-Haves: The Prom Queen favors a Chanel-inspired bouclé jacket (she may even splurge for a real one!), nautically styled gabardine pants, a slim pegged skirt, a button-front blouse with pearl buttons, and a crisp cotton belted shift dress. Her silhouette is clean in line and efficient with a dash of costume elements thrown into the mix. Though her look is crisp and refined, all of her favorite pieces are reminiscent of vintage styles and possess an air of “I get things done.” When it comes to styles, she’s most at home in a 1950s look: crisp, clean, with a little bit of movement. Think swing coats and swirly skirts, perhaps contrasted with a structured purse. Frequently sought-after in social situations, Vital Springs also do well wearing conversation pieces: a charm bracelet, for example, or a dark vintage-inspired coat with a bright high-contrast lining.
Must-Avoids: The Vital Spring should avoid burnished colors or ensembles made up of muted, blended colors and fabrics. She’s always best in high contrast with a touch of novelty. And she should pass on the cowboy boots and anything oversized. Cowboy boots have too many varied lines in them and actually are more of a design suitable for Autumns. The woman who wears them has a kind of I-roll-up-my-sleeves-and-shoot-pool-with-the-boys quality. This does not describe the Prom Queen, though she will be game for pool—but sporting a pair of capris, a crisp blouse, and a small neck scarf. She always keeps her playful femininity, no matter what she’s doing. As for oversized items, the crisp pert lines that favor this type illustrate her efficient I-get-things-done manner, whereas oversized connotes an I’ll-get-to-it-but-right-now-I’m-just-hangin’ mentality.
Personality and Spirit: There’s a good reason why Vital Springs have that Prom Queen image—they’re the most charming, outgoing, and friendly of the Archetypes. They’re the kind of people who become best friends with everyone in the room five minutes after they walk in, and others often develop crushes on them. That’s no surprise: They radiate the kind of energy and magnetism that draws people in, and no matter what the situation, they tend to lead with a smile. With her independent spirit, the Prom Queen functions best when given a lot of leeway, but don’t worry—she’ll charm her boss and colleagues into an arrangement that works well for everybody.
Early Spring: The Playful Princess
Celebrities: Angela Lansbury, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chloë Sevigny, Naomi Watts.
Motto: “How amusing!”
Secret Superpower: An instinct for what’s most important. Count on the Early Spring to always get to the heart of the matter.
Kryptonite: Not being appreciated—that causes the Early Spring to droop like a wilted flower.
Nature Image: Crocuses poking their tips up through the snow, gladiolus, iris.
Artists: Monet and the other Impressionists, whose cool saturated pastels are perfect for Early Springs.
Charming Contrasts: For the Playful Princess, light and easy low-contrast is best. As this palette is very gentle, I would suggest never wearing more than two groups of her colors together at the same time. For example, a Third Base suit could be paired with a pastel romantic blouse, as well as jewelry, shoes, and a scarf that pick up these tones, perhaps in different values. The Early Spring should use pattern in the way it is seen in Monet’s The Water Lilies: small, delicate brush strokes, each dollop of paint slightly blended into the one beside it, giving the overall impression of a landscape seen through a train window on a rainy day. Confetti patterns also work well for her. No eye-popping high-contrast patterns, please—they just don’t suit her gentle palette.
Fabulous Fabrics: Cashmere, organza, suede, and especially, crisp cottons. No other type looks as good in a crisp winter-white cotton blouse.
Signature Scents: Gentle, flowery, soft, and powdery—but with a slight kick, such as jasmine.
Must-Haves: The Playful Princess favors a simple polished-cotton pastel Agent 99 trench coat, Hollywood waisted pants, a slim waistband-less skirt, a crisp cotton blouse worn with a thin belt over it, and an updated version of the shirtdress with the collar popped up. The demure, playful Early Spring can pull off a beret or even a cloche hat, something sleek and close to the head. She’s the type for whom blouses with bows were invented, and for a little light-handed playfulness, try chinos embroidered with a novelty design—but no belt loops, and with a back zipper, please! Her wardrobe suggests a cool, sleek, playful elegance, someone sweet and flowery—but with a kick. While she can wear clothing derived from masculine dress such as trousers, all her garments need to be curved and adapted to her feminine shape. Adding a slight dose of irony doesn’t hurt, either.
Must-Avoids: Denim. Although the Early Spring looks great in slim trousers with no waistband, she has a terrible time finding the right pair of blue jeans—because they don’t suit her! She needs to avoid anything even remotely masculine. Hence, our Early Spring should pass on the men’s-style trench with epaulets and patch pockets as well as on popping printed patterns. The original version of this trench is too masculine and too literal; and high contrast prints are too harsh for her delicate coloring.
Personality and Spirit: Early Springs are ladylike, yes, and somewhat proper, and perhaps even demure, but they’re also blessed with a lively curiosity and a strong sense of fun. There’s an appealing coolness to the Early Spring, the slight formality that often marks someone with beautiful manners and that air of “to the manner born,” but there’s also a playful, inquisitive nature lurking just below the surface. Count on the Early Spring to show up at that all-important job interview, impeccable in a dove-gray suit and a pearly white blouse—and then to tell a silly joke that surprises the interviewer into delighted laughter. A good girl she may be—but she’s got her share of pluck.
Floral Spring: The Wholesome Flirt
Celebrities: Doris Day, Barbara Walters, Reese Witherspoon, Renée Zellweger.
Motto: “Live for today.”
Secret Superpower: Making the most of every moment.
Kryptonite: Realizing that she is making a mistake in the middle of making it and then becoming self-conscious.
Nature Image: Daffodils, hyacinth, and tulips.
Artist: Fragonard.
Charming Contrasts: Wholesome Flirts do best with crisp contrast. Offering relief from head-to-toe color is good, such as a crisp blouse in her shade of white peering out from under an energy-colored suit accessorized with a pearl necklace. In such an outfit, the white doesn’t punctuate, but rather gives the eye a break from all of that energy color and creates a halo around the wearer’s face, enabling the Floral Spring to win the attention that she loves.
Fabulous Fabrics: Though she is feminine, the Floral Spring’s fabrics need to stay crisp. Camel’s hair, gabardine, eyelet, and organdy are best.
Signature Scents: Sweet and floral. Even when she’s all grown up, she might try a strawberry-scented lip balm.
Must-Haves: The Floral Spring favors a brightly colored peacoat, slim trousers with side slits at the ankle, an A-line skirt, a cute sweater set, and a shift dress covered in pastel paillettes. These are the garments that flatter the Wholesome Flirt, with her ultra-feminine, always flirty nature. She enjoys incorporating costume-y elements into her wardrobe—such as a bow-shaped clutch or sandals decorated with a bumblebee buckle—but all her choices need to be frothy and flirtatious, never influenced by anything practical unless it’s a reinvention of something practical, such as the revamping of a sailor’s peacoat in a vivid color with theatrically sized buttons.
Must-Avoids: Austere or severely styled clothing. This woman must always wear clothing which complements her carefree, flirty, feminine nature. Hence, the Wholesome Flirt should pass on camouflage cargo pants and one-shoulder gowns—the pants are too serious and the one-shoulder gown, too asymmetrical, which makes her look imbalanced and, oddly, staid.
Personality and Spirit: Like the coquettish beauty batting her baby blues at two men in Fragonard’s The Swing, this Archetype embodies the words feminine and flirtatious. The Floral Spring sometimes seems like an enchanted creature who lived in a garden all her life and somehow decided to venture out into the world of more ordinary mortals. Like many of their Spring sisters, the Floral Springs are charming beyond belief, but their charm is always genuine. If you feel good in their presence, it’s because they really do see the best in everything and everyone, including you, and they have a gift for making you believe in the magic that seems all too apparent to them. That may be why they’re the most flirtatious of the Archetypes: If life is a garden, why not sample every flower?
Buoyant Spring: The Life of the Party
Celebrities: Cameron Diaz, Goldie Hawn, Queen Latifah, Amy Poehler.
Motto: “How interesting!”
Secret Superpower: Enthusiasm. Everything fascinates her.
Kryptonite: Sometimes that all-encompassing enthusiasm can become just a little . . . well, scattered.
Nature Image: Sunflowers, buttercups, daisies, button poms, cosmos, tuberoses, foxglove.
Artist: Matisse, for the high-contrast use of color.
Charming Contrasts: The Life of the Party needs a pattern somewhere in her outfit or accessories in order to tie together the entire look. She can unify a romantic-colored shirt and Third Base capris with plaid sandals that feature both of those colors. As an extra plus, those sandals are also a wonderful conversation-starter!
Fabulous Fabrics: Poplin, organza, embroidered cotton, linen, stretch satin.
Signature Scents: Sporty, invigorating, perhaps with a hint of eucalyptus. A splash rather than a cologne works better, as it is lighter and less serious.
Must-Haves: A blazer cut to the high hip with an accentuated waist is the perfect garment for the Life of the Party, as are capris, a turtleneck with short puffed sleeves, and a metallic brocade shift dress adorned with feathers at the hem. Savoring life to the fullest is what she’s all about, and she needs her wardrobe to reflect this.
Must-Avoids: Hyperformality—and not only in clothing. The Buoyant Spring also has the urge to do something zany to break the tension at a party that is too stuffy. The results may be, um, problematic—or they could be delightful. The Buoyant Spring needs to pass on the chiffon caftan and motorcycle-inspired looks. The caftan would make her seem like a dowager, and no matter what her real age, the Buoyant Spring is always young at heart. Also, the caftan feels a bit too grand for her. At heart the Buoyant Spring is the girl who genuinely enjoys kicking off her shoes at the end of the day. Any article of clothing that conveys an aura of queenly grandness feels too serious for this fun-loving type, especially since it limits so severely the number of fashion choices she can make—no belt, no skirt, no scarf, just a pair of sandals and some jewels. As for motorcycle-inspired ensembles, while the Life of the Party is fun and game for most anything, a boots-and-leather look hardens her I-love-being-a-girl silhouette and limits her opportunity for the adornment of her favorite fashion element: herself!
Personality and Spirit: Playful, sporty, and energetic, the Buoyant Spring is brimming over with high spirits and good cheer. Her buoyant energy lends itself more to shorts or capris than to a full-length evening gown, though when she does put on that fancy dress, you may be surprised to realize how pretty she is. The Buoyant Spring is always a marvelous cheerleader. She knows how to draw other people out, encouraging them to express their most cherished ideas—and then she knows how to make those ideas sound brilliant.
Mischievous Spring: The Pixie
Celebrities: Tyra Banks, Bernadette Peters, Rosie Perez, Rihanna, Julia Roberts.
Motto: “Everything I really want eventually comes to me.”
Secret Superpower: Huge confidence in herself.
Kryptonite: Expects everyone to come to her, which means sometimes she can be a bit selfish—perhaps even more than a bit.
Nature Image: Lily pad, buttercup, bluebells.
Artists: Landscape artists who paint the French countryside.
Charming Contrasts: Gentle contrast is best for our Pixie, but she can handle more contrast in a single outfit than most of the other Springs can manage. For the weekend, she might look for a longish belted tweed coat in her energy color over a short skirt and tights in her Third Base color, accented by a metallic and energy-colored purse, metallic earrings, and a few favorite odd mismatched bracelets.
Fabulous Fabrics: Lightly textured knits, brushed cotton, embossed suede, organza, crisp cotton, piqué.
Signature Scents: Narcissus, hyacinth.
Must-Haves: A softly tailored short anorak, short-sleeved knit sweater with self-belt and collar, slim stretch cigarette pants, miniskirt with pleated hem, bouclé knit hooded cardigan, and halter-style printed maxidress create the pixieish look of the Mischievous Spring. Our Pixie always needs the element of surprise incorporated into her mischievous style or else she looks out of place. A well-fitting dress with very simple lines is fine for New Year’s Eve, but she would need a marabou shrug or a feathered headband in order to keep the outfit from seeming too stuffy.
Must-Avoids: Big ruffles at her cuffs, which just look silly waving all over the place. The Mischievous Spring should also avoid wide-legged trousers, full-skirted gowns, and layered dresses, all of which tend to make her look like a little girl playing dress-up or like a delicate pixie drowning in waves of fabric. She should also avoid a too-polished head-to-toe look as well as any garment or accessory that proclaims, “I am serious.”
Personality and Spirit: When I think of the Mischievous Spring, I think of the sound of jingle bells: This pixieish creature evokes everything that is frolicsome and fun, and like all Springs, the Mischievous Spring is charm personified. She often works quite hard, but unless you pay close attention, you may not realize it: She may create the impression that a battery of elves magically completed her assignments overnight. The Mischievous Spring sometimes seems like the ultimate free spirit, but somehow, she always meets her deadlines, shows up on time, and comes through like a trouper. It’s just that her process for getting there might drive more organized types insane. She’s the kind of woman who can show up at a party looking stunning even though she just bought the dress that morning and then couldn’t find the right lipstick and had to borrow a neighbor’s. No matter how she got there, she always looks fantastic—and there she is, ready to share her mischievous sense of fun with everyone else at the party.
Tawny Spring: The Maverick
Celebrities: Amy Adams, Carol Burnett, Ginger Rogers.
Motto: “I am my own trendsetter.”
Secret Superpower: Being just a little bit ahead of the curve and bringing other people along with her.
Kryptonite: Sometimes she just can’t get past that one niggling detail—the fly in the ointment, the one thing that tarnishes the whole. Frustration with something relatively minor can sometimes spoil the whole thing for her.
Nature Image: Poppies, green euphorbia, yarrow, pear blossom, ranunculus.
Artists: Renoir, Rousseau.
Charming Contrasts: As befits a Maverick, the Tawny Spring puts together diverse elements in a way that she couldn’t possibly explain to anyone else. Clearly this type will also put together her contrast levels in precisely the way that she wants to! Her “find” of a vintage 1960s tranquil-colored blouse is made fresh and interesting when worn over a Second Base turtleneck and paired with skinny-fit Second Base trousers. Mavericks take warning: Never wear shades of the same color, as the exchange of energy between the similar shades is not dynamic enough, creating a muddy effect.
Fabulous Fabrics: Pony, light popcorn tweeds, embossed leather, knit fabrics.
Signature Scents: She will probably favor a mixture of citrus and spice. She is eclectic, so she will probably have several small bottles of different scents. None of them will be floral or powdery.
Must-Haves: Our Maverick favors an updated military-styled jacket, boot-cut trousers, a miniskirt worn with tights, a vintage 1960s blouse, and a button-front knit sweater dress with contrasting collar and cuffs worn over a tank. After all, her motto is “I am my own trendsetter,” and what better outfits to choose than those that allow her a fertile field for her creative vision. The Maverick is eclectic in her style and is best in slightly theatrical pieces. She is the type that can easily wear a feathered cloche, fingerless gloves, or a plaid capelet—and even better if they are all worn at the same time! If her outfit looks like a costume from the forest scene in Shakespeare’s As You Like It, the one in which shepherds and shepherdesses frolic, she will love it. She will find it difficult to pass a vintage clothing store without stopping in.
Must-Avoids: Clothing that is uniform or “matched,” such as a matching blazer and skirt. This type should never own a suit; she needs to make a statement by putting together diverse pieces in unexpected ways. She should also pass on the long flowing skirts and any clothing influenced by minimalism. She is too “ready for action” and her energy is too high for the languid I-go-with-the-flow quality of drapey soft chiffon, which in any case suggests genteel beauty, rather than the Tawny Spring’s air of sprightly fun. Finally, no minimalism for the Maverick: When you strip this energetic creature down to monochromatic minimalism, she will feel and act as though she is at a wake.
Personality and Spirit: Quirkiest of all the Spring Archetypes, the Tawny Spring is nearly impossible to pin down. She has a habit of zigzagging from one activity to another. Yet she’s reliable and trustworthy, and there’s a method to her madness. The Tawny Spring views the world not through rose-colored glasses, exactly, but let’s say through teal-colored ones: a unique, distinctive perspective that is all her own, and that to everyone else seems slightly askew. When everyone else sees the forest, she notices that one little branch over in the corner, where a rare tropical species has just built its nest. Then she wonders why no one else can see that little sliver of teal-colored feather that tipped her off—it seems blatantly obvious to her!
That's all for now, doves. Next post will be on Zyla's summer archetypes 😊

my launchpad cosplay is done! 🛩️💥
i JUST finished it today although it’s been in the works for a couple months. i just couldn’t get enough time off from work to go shopping ugh
but i had a day off today so i went to several thrift and vintage stores, and finally found a jacket that works! i searched for two hours for the perfect leather jacket but couldn’t find one, but this cloth jacket is the perfect placeholder for halloween. it has a very small lapel but i easily safety-pinned it to the inside of the jacket.
i had originally bought a green cap for the hat since i wasn’t expecting to run into the pilot-style cap but when i saw it i just had to bring it home!
the scarf is just a spare piece of fabric i nabbed from an art thrift store, but it’s the perfect color and size for my needs. i pinned it to the neck of the jacket in the back just to keep it from slotting into the neck hole and so far it works really well!
the goggles were a gift from several years ago. i actually have one other pair that may suit the costume a bit better, but i went with these first because they’re more cartoonishly circular.
the boots were ordered specially for this costume but i wear them on their own every once in a while. they make me considerably taller!
this costume was SO much fun to put together and i can’t wait to wear it to my friend’s halloween shindig and give out candy!!

Continuing my journey through combining my two obsessions - perfume and The Libertines. In this edition, fragrances directly linked to the band in various ways.
London by Burberry - Notes of Honeysuckle, Jasmine, Musk and Sandalwood. Released in 2006. This is for lovers - of London. The imagery around this chic and clean little affair has always been a romantic postcard to the city that birthed it, and the iconic checked Burberry fabric wrapped around the bottle itself speaks to the rebirth of that heritage trend made edgy and new - most beautifully showcased in the infamous prison gates photos in 2003, where Peter and Carl each wore a matching Burberry trench and passed a Burberry scarf between them. Fake, probably, but that iconography was the absolute height of indie rock fashion.
Bluebell by Penhaligon's - Notes of Lily-of-the-Valley, Cyclamen, Cloves and Cinnamon. Released in 1978. Widely reported as a favourite perfume of Kate Moss during the time she and Peter were dating. I may not be much of a fan of hers, but who didn't want to know what Pete Doherty's girlfriend smelled like? Earthy, with its crushed flowers and herbs, a tad exclusive, with it's fancy lineage and posh price, but genuinely vintage - this was the exact sort of scent an indie girl in the 2000s picked if she wanted to stand out from the crowd.
Opium Pour Homme by Yves Saint Laurent - Notes of Black Currant, Star Anise, Bourbon Vanilla and Cedar. Released in 1995. Named by Peter as his favourite fragrance in the 2000s. I've never known if he was kidding, given the name - but this is a scent that absolutely suits him, and is my favourite for men of all time. Opening with bright, juicy berries, drying down into sweet vanilla and rich spice, it's an addictive potion that suits its moniker and defies the astringent, bathroom cleaner trend in men's fragrance with a high fashion dazzle that takes some courage to wear.
Bottega Veneta by Bottega Veneta - Notes of Bergamot, Jasmine, Leather and Patchouli. Released in 2011. This is a personal entry, as it's the one perfume that has gotten me a compliment from a Libertine. I am an aggressive over-sprayer, but only this one has elicited a comment, from Carl, after he embraced me following the Sharabang gig in 2018. "You smell amazing!" he said, to which I replied, "I think it's the leather", meaning the leather notes in the fragrance. "Leather?" he replied, completely confused. I didn't get a chance to elaborate, but this is indeed a leather bomb - loud like a brand new jacket, or better yet luxurious heels straight out of their box, with the crisp deliciousness of bergamot making it syrupy and lending a mouth-watering air. Tragically discontinued.
Comme des Garcons 2 Man by Comme des Garcons - Notes of Smoke, Betiver, Saffron, Leather and Incense. Released in 2004. One of the fragrances Carl mentioned wearing in the 2000s. A churchy, waxy, smoky scent that brings to mind a snuffed candle and is very evocative of the year it was released. Makes absolute sense that it's one he'd enjoy, leaning both into an esoteric side with it's midnight potions of nutmeg and mint, and a rock 'n' roll core with it's leather and incense - reminiscent of the intoxicating mix of sweat, tobacco and leather you'll find sticking to a musician fresh off a stage.
Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens - Notes of Resin, Amber, Myrrh, Benzoin, Sandalwood, Vanilla and Myrtle. Released in 1993. Opulent, gothic and very warm, this unisex fragrance is another Carl listed as a favourite back in the day. If 2 Man is churchy, this one is culty. Again, it suits him - it's like festival hippy oil taken to it's most concentrated conclusion. I don't know if he still wears either of these - he smelled great in Melbourne in 2018, but when I asked what he had on, he joked, "Lynx Africa!" then denied he was wearing anything. Likewise, Peter arrived at the Hackney gig in 2019 smelling deliciously of something very like Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, but when I asked him what he had on, he just said, "I smell like a polecat".

No one asks but here are what Jaime and Brienne's would wear if they're in the modern era as I'm scrolling through aimlessly trying to find clothes myself:
BRIENNE: Brinny is a TRUE supporter of local-made clothes. A LOT of vintage shopping involves but with her physic, it's quite hard to find clothes her size so she goes to men's section. Has her dad's hand-me-down buttons ups, If she buys new clothes, it's probably very well made with fabrics like wool and cashmere. Always would buy local too and would spurge on custom suits if she has extra to spend if she isn't buy some random knickknacks-which she always does lol. Most her jewellery are silver and vintage!
A lot of earth tones in her closet and good quality SOCKS! JUMPSUITS! SWEATERS!
JAIME: This mf has no concept of money the only currency in the world that matters is ATTENTION! Jaime would wearing some of the outrageous, loud-logo luxury brands with bright ass colours and he would still looks good cause he's pretty!
The only hand-me-downs(?) are his mom's (gold) jewellery. A lot of nice colours custom, expensive suits though (white, reds, greens, browns) just to look cunty as he surviving the corporate world his dad dragged him into.
His taste with scarfs are IMMACULATE and a collector of it. Don't like wristwatches but LOVES pocket watches. And his nails always clean and well manicured ✨✨✨

Why Tunics Are a Must-Have for Every Woman
Tunics are versatile and comfortable clothing pieces that fit seamlessly into any wardrobe. Whether you're dressing up for an event or lounging at home, tunics for women offer the perfect balance of style and functionality. These timeless outfits are available in various designs, from solid colors to bold patterns, making them suitable for casual and formal occasions.
Styling Tips for Tunics
Pair with Leggings: Tunics and leggings are a classic combination. Choose neutral leggings to highlight your tunic's vibrant colors.
Add a Belt: Cinch your waist with a stylish belt to create a more structured and flattering silhouette.
Layer with Jackets: In colder months, layer your tunic with a leather or denim jacket for a chic, modern look.
Accessorize Smartly: Pair your tunic with statement jewelry or a designer scarf for an elegant touch.
Designer Scarves: A Timeless Accessory
Scarves are more than just accessories; they are statements of personal style. Designer scarves, in particular, elevate any outfit with their premium fabrics and artistic patterns. Whether silk, chiffon, or cashmere, these scarves are crafted to perfection, adding a luxurious feel to your wardrobe.
Top Ways to Style a Designer Scarf
Around Your Neck: Drape a silk scarf loosely for a sophisticated look or tie it snugly for a polished appearance.
As a Headband: Fold your scarf into a thin band and wrap it around your head for a vintage-inspired style.
On Your Bag: Tie a vibrant scarf around your handbag handle for a pop of color.
As a Belt: Use your scarf as a belt by tying it around your waist, adding flair to plain dresses or tunics.
Choosing the Perfect Tunic for Your Body Type
Petite Women: Opt for shorter tunics that don’t overwhelm your frame. Look for fitted styles that highlight your proportions.
Curvy Figures: Choose A-line tunics with flowing fabrics to flatter your curves. Avoid clingy materials.
Tall Women: Long tunics pair beautifully with your height. Experiment with bold patterns and oversized styles.
The Elegance of Silk Scarves
Silk scarves are a staple for anyone who values elegance and sophistication. Their soft texture and intricate designs make them an excellent choice for evening events, business meetings, or casual outings. A silk scarf can instantly transform a basic outfit into a high-end look.
Caring for Your Tunics and Scarves
Proper care ensures your tunics and scarves remain in top condition for years:
Wash with Care: Hand wash delicate fabrics like silk or use a gentle cycle in your washing machine.
Store Properly: Fold your scarves and tunics neatly to avoid wrinkles. Use padded hangers for heavier tunics.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Use mild detergents to preserve the fabric's integrity and color.
Where to Buy Designer Tunics and Scarves
Online shopping platforms offer a vast selection of tunics and designer scarves. Look for trusted brands that prioritize quality and craftsmanship. Seasonal sales and discounts can help you snag luxury items at a fraction of the price.

Avery is a 70s girlie. She loves pantsuits, midi and pleated skirts, sweater, knit, and wrap dresses, graphic tees and halter tops, knit ponchos, fabric and suede trench coats, neck scarfs, wedge heels, vintage dancing shoes, clogs, and bell bottom jeans. Her go-to 'fits when she wants to mix modern with 70s inspo include colorful flared pants, peasant-style crops with big puff sleeves, headbands with a trailing piece of fabric, chunky earrings, big sunglasses, platform shoes, bangle bracelets, and a mood ring. Most of all, she’s a sucker for jumpsuits especially the disco-themed ones.
When she was 14, her mom made her a sequined jumpsuit with a velvety sash for a project that focused on the different eras and the teacher was hosting a contest for all the students that had costume based on the era and its authenticity. Avery won since the teacher was impressed by the genuine look to it compared to a cheaply made store costume and also got best grade with her partner on the project out of the class. She also wore it as her Halloween costume that year and had the time of her life when they played Shake Your Groove Thing.
However, she not only likes the fashion trends from then but also has a thing for the songs no matter how much disco music is frowned upon. She made an entire playlist dedicated to it and her personal favorite is Boogie Wonderland. Sometimes, she's just feeling in a groove and puts on a jumpsuit (favoring the evening kind) and then blasts the playlist, jumping on her bed and dancing in the middle the room as she's singing out the lyrics to every song that she's listened to a thousand times before with a bona fide disco ball spinning from the ceiling. There may have been a few instances when Jameson has passed her room through the fireplace passageway and heard her during these disco seshes but he never disturbs her and just smiles as he slinks through the shadows, knowing he'll never tell a soul about her dance breaks. Not even Max knows, although, they would probably have the best girl nights ever if she did.

Getting the Lads Ready for An Adventure
I've been planning a big photo shoot for Trys and Alex, to be shot in the museum's garden. It involves a 1970 Barbie Camper.
I've been working on restoring and improving this camper for several weeks now. I created a replacement back panel and glued down loose vinyl as best I could (believe it or not this is an improvement) I replaced a broken tent-like sleeping structure with other improvements such as the futon and the fairy lights (one of the pillows on the futon is actually hiding the battery for the lights). I made the futon and pillows. The psychedelic fabric, which also covers the interior side of the replacement panel is by Kaffe Fassett.
Two more pictures of the interior. It's hard to photograph, but I'm really proud of it. Not just as a restoration of the Barbie camper, but as a period interior. I love the twee little mugs I found in my doll stuff. It's so Them. The camper and dolls are in a pop-up exhibit right now. The Led Zeppelin fan art aspect of Trys & Alex get's clocked about 50% of the time by people over 50. Mal and I go back and forth about referring to them as Jimmy&Robert or Trys&Alex. (I favor the latter).
Time for closeups. Alex/Robert (Creatable World DC-220) is wearing Bratz Boys jeans and a Skipper top - both 1990s vintage with creatable world shoes. I made the necklace.
Trys/Jimmy (Creatable World DC-965) is wearing mostly Creatable World - shoes, top and sunglasses with a bracelet by me, a scarf that is just a couple of pieces of ribbon yarn and a pair of dark denim, glitter imbued flares which came from the Dollar Tree in the late 1990s.
Next week. New outfits, new accessories and camping. Mal thinks I made this doll look like Jimmy Page with the power of my mind.
