Made some redraw versions of Valentino’s Door Greeters and Fizz-Bot Kitty for my Valentino! Changed the moth gals into bees to help connect them closer to Val posing as a day poillinator(Though I do def see him have Moth Gals at the night scene) and made Kitty more like a Playboy Bunny 🍯🐝👯‍♀️🍸 I imagine the Bee girls are named “Honey & Bea” and Kitty’s now something like “bunny” or “Bon Bon”.

Fun fact, Playboy was pretty popular in the 70’s!!!!!!!👯‍♀️👯‍♂️👯

In my scenario, I imagine it’s Val helping to keep Vox from blowing his top and trying to start an immediate fight with Al after realizing he was back.

The angels not knowing the rules for who gets into heaven makes zero fucking sense when the 10 commandments are right there.

You could even use it to point out how corrupt Heaven is. For example, perhaps Sir Pentious is not accepted into heaven despite him genuinely redeeming himself because "sorry dude you didn't honor your parents lmao" or some shit like that.

Meanwhile, a more vile person (let's use Val as an easy example) could be on their deathbed. They make a last minute conversion and as a result they're accepted into heaven since they technically kept all of the commandments.

Having Angel withdrawal again sorry guys :/ its time for some uhh… prologue stuff?? I think thats right. Anyway! As I mentioned in this lovely post, when sinners die the time it takes for them to wake up in hell and where they wake up depends on how they died. So for Angels case his body was formed in hell in a hospital bed cause thats where he died so theres like fibres and metal in his body from being formed around a hospital bed! This is also going to go into how regenerating and how injuries work so get ready! Basically whatever your body was originally formed and made out of regenerates eventually, you can have scars if theyre really big (uncommon since the injury usually kills you) but if you die again in hell they go away. Angel gets injured quite a lot and none of these injuries are permanent. That isn’t to say you can heal by killing yourself though! If you do die while injured there may actually be lasting complications since bodies in hell are typically made to regenerate while gravely wounded. Its kind of like a fucked up computer so if you have a broken leg and die by say snapping your neck the body may get confused and regenerate bones and such incorrectly. Or it may not! Its hell who knows! Ill likely figure out a more concrete plan and way that it works but at the moment I enjoy this aspect of hell to not have a random cheat code and instead include some body horror. Its hell so like some stuff is probably confusing right??

Back to Angel, later on around season 1 in the rewrite he also has throat surgery to remove his deformed inner fangs and those DO actually stay gone because certain hospitals in hell (usually expensive ones) have tools from sloth that have been permitted by Lucifer. Similar to how Stolas got that lust portal gem or whatever. Angels body wasn’t supposed to form like that and this is a common thing to happen with sinners that die “long-term” and that sounds confusing but it really just means sinners that die in comatose-esque ways like Angel. His body was dying over the course of months (December to March to be exact) so parts of his body formed over complicated or were underdeveloped like the aforementioned fangs (that were originally meant to form inside of his mouth and not his throat) that would randomly bare themselves and stab his own throat, paralyzing Angel temporarily. Other examples would be parts of his legs and smaller stomach.

This is the surgery Angel got by the way (expenses covered by Velvette but thats a whole other plot line)

On top of this I also wanted to draw Angel’s old markings (at least one of them). Prior to Valentino, Angel looked much similar marking-wise to his original comic designs where he was more purple and yellow with all the fun skulls and stripes. Though, with how contracts work in my rewrite, Angel loses the markings and they change into hearts after his contract and cannot return to normal after his contract is terminated. The same is true for Husker and Niffty. This whole piece is really just supposed to capture to horror of waking up after being comatose and you’re suddenly not yourself anymore and also not where you were for the past months and your entire anatomy is changed. Can you imagine waking up without bones??? In 1947??? Id have a breakdown personally!

I also wanted to use green for that sick gross feeling. Kind of the dread you feel before throwing up, but also to represent Angel’s later feelings of envy that I was unable to present in his design. I really like pink characters in green atmospheres if you can’t tell. If I think of more stuff to add to this post I will, but for now it’s just a lot of lore. Hopefully you all enjoy it!

HAZBIN REDESIGNS.

Mainly for fun cuz I really like making character designs, so what better way than making self-indulgent tweaks of the designs from one of my favorite show.

There's some glimpses of my older redesigns on here, cuz I got back into Hazbin in like, November but just never posted anything out of fear of.. adult accounts. But now I'm saying fuck it we ball and posting anyways cuz bro I do NOT wanna go radio silent again, PLEASE-

So, funny thing! My sister and I watched Wish about two weeks ago and in that time she rewrote it as a novel, but better!

We both saw a lot of fairy tale potential in Wish which was unfortunately wasted by the hand of Disney's corporate meddling. My sister, who's written several novels at this point, tried her hand at fleshing out the fairy tale and the characters and she did such a good job!

The first two chapters are up on AO3, with more to come soon!

Here’s a hot take I guess

The “Vees” should just be Velvette and Vox. Think about it, TV and Social Media go hand in hand in terms of a lot of things, there’s way more consistency between those themes than there is with TV, Social media AND the porn industry.

At the same time, there’s a lot differences between them, and it would’ve been interesting to see how Vox and Velvette’s ideals and influences contrasted each other.

Maybe Vox had a hard time getting newer sinners under his control and Velvette, being from the generation of social media could’ve showed him new ways to branch out his influence and in turn Vox could’ve elevated her status, eventually leading her to becoming an overlord in her own right.

Idk, feel like a lot of interesting stuff could’ve been done with these two, alas

Working on a Hazbin rewrite that I’m dubbing The Bed and Betterment Project. Some info about everything so far under the cut!

-Charlie is a lot more menacing in this AU, as I imagine her personality is a lot more like Michael from The Good Place. She’s still fairly cheery and seems kind, but she’s willing to remind others of who she is.

-Charlie started the Bed and Betterment Project as a way to see how far sinners could go to get better and improve, or if that’s even possible. This was mostly just something for her own entertainment, but as she gets used to the members of the project she comes to see that maybe they can actually improve, and thus she changes her sights towards redemption and she becomes a bit more optimistic as the show goes on

-Charlie has very unorthodox ways of trying to get the members of the project to rehabilitate by tempting them with their worse vices and making them relieve traumatic events, hoping it’ll push them forward (or perhaps over the edge.)

-Vaggie’s identity as an exorcist is already known by the denizens of hell, as well as by Charlie. In fact Charlie uses that to her advantage, Vaggie taking in the position of the ultimate bodyguard. Her character arc would be largely focused on her becoming her own person, gaining her own hobbies, and loving herself.

-All the exorcist wear mask that cover their true heavenly features, as do Charlie and Lucifer. Adam is the only one who doesn’t really need a mask, but he prefers to wear it.

-Speaking of Adam, he is much more intimidating in this AU, being a bit more serious but still coming off as affable and laidback, maybe even a little dumb. But despite his hedonistic tendencies, he still is a force to be reckoned with and can be quite threatening when he wants to be.

-Husk doesn’t have wings anymore. I believe they served no purpose, and instead he is slinky! His limbs and neck can extend to incredible lengths, as a reference to his looseness. And while he doesn’t immediately look like a magician like he did in his previous design, he can still do plenty of magical things in a similar fashion to the Cheshire Cat, being able to disappear and reappear really wherever, but he hardly utilizes this ability anymore.

-Alastor I figured could do with a neat little makeover, both in his casual appearance and in his demon form. I’ve gotten rid of his weird technical stuff and have decided they are instead crooked and sharp antlers he can spawn from wherever. Just as well he can control various radio signals and even create static sound or high frequency screams from his jaws, very much inspired by an elk’s cry.

-I’ve also changed Alastor’s backstory, but that’s something for a different piece.

-Wanted to lean into the blaxploitation inspiration of Valentino, as well as find a good balance of conventionally attractive and gross. I imagine whenever he’s about to say or do something particularly nasty, he pukes up maggots before hand to show off his vile nature.

-Not featured here, but I have ideas for Vox and the seraphims as well, but I’ll save that for another sketch page.

The Vee’s have the best designs, especially Val. I’m sorry, Val perfectly encapsulates a 70s pimp moth so all I did was adjust colors.

Tom is a roach because roaches can supposedly survive radiation.

Rosie is an actual Rose demon, who’s face can split open for a creepier one underneath, such as the fun times from fnaf or The One Who Waits from Cult of the Lamb.

Meet Valentino🦋☠️

Meet my take on Valentino! This one took the longest for me to get around to.

Made him a Monarch Butterfly!🦋 I love the whole reverse Predator and Prey thing going on with him and Angel so what if he was a creature that would normally be considered Prey, if it didn’t have its own trick up its sleeve. Poison! ☠️ plus butterflies are often depicted as sweet and pretty, which would really lean into how he puts on a sweet face to hide his true colors.😈Though who’s to say he even is that(wink😉). Made his wings a warm gradient, added some sparkle ✨ and allude subtly to a split heart with the lines and dots💔 @the-burd-lord also pointed out they give off tears💧😢

Gave him a more bug like head, mouth, eyes and only has three fingers.

Gave him heart bent stripes like Angel Dust(@a-sterling-rose shared a cool idea that an overlord can change their contracted souls) wanted it to allude to bee stripes(bees love flowers and make sweet things) and other…striped insects.

Leaned with 70’s, DISCO !!!!!!!🕺🪩💃 Bell bottoms, matching top, PLATFORMS! The whole works! I figure it fits with his timeline a lot and with what he’s usually wearing. Plus he’s def into the club scene.

Replaced his top hat with a heart shaped fedora hat! Adorned it with all kinds of different flowers!!!!! Stuff like roses, Bleeding hearts, milkweed and the big flower he’s wearing is meant to allude to the Cattleya Orchid(Colombias national flower and symbolizes fertility and virility) roses are also very popular there! They even have a holiday around flowers called the “festival of the flowers”!🌼🌹.

For his sleeves wanted to allude to another Colombia flower “devils breath” highly toxic flower and in the same toxic family as the “Angels Trumpet”. Also a street term for the dangerous drug, scopolamine which is derived from the seeds of Borrachero trees, primarily found in South America like Colombia! 🇨🇴

Kept the heart buckle belt his og had but made it hollow. Hollow heart.

Gave him a cane that’s also a disco heart 🪩❤️which may not be able to squeeze out toxic gas and other tricks.

For his color scheme, @the-burd-lord suggested I'd go with RGB theme, colors on display screen(Vox is the leader and a screen) Ngl I was conflicted what colors to go with for the vees(Primary, Red blue purple etc). But then I realized when u mix those colors u get those other colors and then I decided to give the Vees two main color themes for each. One for show, the other their true colors! Val likes to use tropical warm welcoming colors(gold luxury), def still uses red for its sensual vibes….but those kinda colors are also color of many dangerous insects…warning colors⚠️‼️☣️☢️☠️☠️☠️

Made his Heart shades butterfly wing shaped like @lovesart23 did with her Val! Seriously LOVE IT!!!!!!!.

Added a heart on his chain with his initial. Was a gift from Angel Dust💔

Also wears black and white since he’s already very colorful and to appear clean with the white…the darkness often hiding under. Has some green for the leaves and thorns(every rose has its thorns) like how Velvette still wears gold colors for accesory!🍃🌿

My Valentino’s Colombian 🇨🇴 back in the 70’s a lot was happening with Drug trade(Cocaine trade) plus it’s in the warmer area of South America, where many butterflies can be found🦋🦋🦋Monarchs migrate to the south! Also great place for flowers🌹🪻🌸🌺🌷🌻🌼💐🪷

with the flowers also lowkey trying to allude with 60’s-70’s Flower power(he def likes to seem all peace and love) was also the time of the psychedelic era😵‍💫U know he def got that stuff.

Rewrite🦋☠️

Compared to OG he’s def more sly and smooth talking, often Make him ironically the more level headed of the V’s. Have him be able to keep a cool head more, try to covert his true nature, keep things under control. Play into how he likes to try a more pragmatic approach, relying on manipulation and pacifying first before getting violent if he feels like he’s not in control. They say u attract more flies with honey than vinegar afterall. he’s able to put on the charm and sweetness well enough. You do NOT want to get on his scary side…He relies a lot on manipulation but when push comes to shove, he can mess you UP☠️!!!!!!!

Leaning with the poison theme way more!☠️💊🧪.

He doesn’t just do Adult Entertainment, but also a huge drug supplier for Hell, especially for Angel💊. It’s been implied and supposed scrapped ideas and concepts have shown him feeding Angels drug addiction.

Have him be Angels main supplier and often uses his addiction to keep him under his wings, depend on him, likes to feed into it despite how much harm it does for him. He’s basically the embodiment of toxicity/addiction, things that can poison people, can become dangerous addictions and mess people up. He’s basically one of Angel’s most dangerous addictions, the toxic abusive boss/partner☠️

I honestly want him to want NOTHING with Vox’s whole revenge plan with Alastor and his new project…until he also realizes the Princess not only actually wants to help Angel but that Angel ACTUALLY might want to try to QUIT! Than he gets more involved with Vox’s schemes.

Gets his main poison from a special flower from Hell. Similar to how Monarchs get their poison from a certain plant(milkweed) as well as play into how Butterflies feed on nectar🌺🌸 perhaps has the flowers growing all throughout his studio…especially around and maybe even in Angel’s dressing room…

Chapter 8: Trouble A-Brewin' 🌩🌟

A distorted voice calls out during the black screen: "Manfred!"

"Manfred, wake up!"

A pair of eyes open wide, revealing the king's blue irises. His first sight was his wife, looking quite frightened. Sabor was there, but he didn't look too concerned as he cleaned his paw.

"Mi rey, can you hear me?" Her voice slightly shaking as she gently placed a hand on his face. He nodded slowly.

Amaya raised her hands and the books atop him levitate off and away from him, she then helped him to his feet. "What happened in here?"

The king growled in annoyance. "It was that blasted star. And Tomás' daughter."

The queen looked stunned. "Asha? We hadn't seen her since her father....'passed'. Wasn't she part of that traitorous group that escaped us as well?"

"Indeed. And now she summoned a star to destroy everything we've built. I knew we should've killed the rest of them when we had the chance!" Magnifico's voice grew louder as he became frustrated.

Amaya slowly rubbed his shoulders to calm him down.

"I just don't know how she did it. How could she summon a star in one try when we've been trying time and time again to no avail?" Magnifico questioned, though he didn't know the answer. It angered him to no end. "Worse yet, I couldn't find her wish when I tried to take it. Surely she must be using something to counteract me!"

Amaya had a thoughtful yet devious look on her face. "I believe I know how."

Magnifico looked at his wife with a curious eyebrow raised.

"From the time I've seen Asha and the star, they've been quite the inseparable pair. They're willing to protect each other at all costs." She walked over to the open window and looked down on the citizens.

Many of them were still in a daze after Star's stampede through the center of the town. Some were distraught over their lost stands and food. And others were checking on each other with some minor injuries. She had to hold back a small laugh seeing how pathetic they were.

"Yes, yes, I'm aware. When I was close to killing the girl, the star turned into its true form and well, you knows the rest." He didn't want to retell his defeat, especially not like this.

"And after your scuffle with it, it proceeded to trample through city with no regard for the citizens. Its only concerned was Asha."

"And just where are you are you going with this?" He asked impatiently as he tapped his foot. Sabor raised an ear curious to hear the answer as well.

Amaya chuckled. "The star came down because Asha wished on it, and Asha in return saves it. Its a tale as old as time, true as it can be, dear."

The king's eyes widened in realization. "No. No, no, no..." A laugh started to build up. "You're suggesting that the star is in love with that peasant?!" His laughter turned into an uproar, even Sabor had to snicker at the thought of something preposterous.

Amaya put hands on her hips in annoyance. "And just what is so funny?"

Magnifico was nearly doubled over, but he caught his breath. "Darling, they've only known each for what, a day? No one falls in love that quickly, its unrealistic!" He waved a dismissive hand.

(You should see those Classic Disney movies, man)

"And just how long did it take for us? If memory serves, it was not 1 minute more after you saw my wish."

Magnifico's smile faded as he remembered and he straightened up. "Point taken." He bent down to retrieve the staff he dropped in the fight. "Even so, it's just a luminous ball of light. It can't feel love, or joy or even anger. Its not even human!"

He eyed the small amount of yellow magic in his staff. "And I only managed to get a small dose of its power. Its not enough."

"You certainly felt its anger when it smacked you into next week didn't you?" She pondered for only a moment when an idea struck. "Perhaps we can use this to our advantage."

"The star or the power?"

"Both." She walked over a shelf that contained several maps of not just the sky, but of Rosas itself. She pulled a familiar map out and unrolled on the table. "Since the girl cares so deeply for her people, why not use them as leverage?"

"Are you suggesting we take the hamlet now?" Magnifico asked as he joined her side.

"Not just the hamlet. Her family. She clearly wished on that star so she had the power to defeat us. But!" She pointed a finger up. "What if in order to protect the people she loves, she would have to sacrifice something else she loves? And the star wouldn't go against who it loves."

A wicked grinned slowly appeared on the king. "So if we take her family..."

"We get the star." Amaya finished for him.

The king pulled her close. "I love the way your foul mind works. What would I do without my wickedly wonderful wife?"

The two passionately embraced while Sabor groaned. Once they separated, it was Magnifico's turn to get an idea.

"You know what? Why don't we sweeten the deal here?"

We cut to outside of the castle where the rain has let up a little bit, but the people were still shaken.

"I can't believe this happened on my watch." Simon groaned as he looked around. "Dad's never going to let me train again after this."

A teen gently pat him on the back. "Look at it this way. At least no one got trampled by the elephant, right? We're all still in one piece!" She said with a smile.

"Hal, I know you want to look at the best of everything, but not with this." Simon responded, un-phased. "If I'm going to become a knight someday, I need to help protect Rosas. And the first thing I'm gonna do is help catch those traitors. Starting with Gabo." His eyes tired, but determined.

"That's the spirit! See? You already found a way to help!" Hal beamed as she playfully hit in him on the shoulder.

The large town mirror began to sparkle and soon had a cloud of smoke circling within it, attempting to get a picture. But the rock Gabo threw at it earlier made it sound like static was going off. The Royal voiced could be heard, arguing about the picture.

"Is this thing broken?"

"Well, that little rebellious brat must've damaged it."

"I'll just get Flazino to fix it later."

Flazino heard that one. "Fix it yourself, you lazy ba-"

"Good afternoon, Rosas!" Magnifico greeted the citizens after the picture finally became clear.

Flazino pretend he didn't say anything.

"No need to panic, we're just fine, just a little shaken is all." He said as rubbed part of his back. "But as you can see, this is why we need your help."

A small crowd began to gather near the mirror, hanging onto every word.

"They don't care who gets in their way with their cruel plans to destroy us all. We've already identified one of them." said Amaya. "Her name is Asha, and she plans on tearing down this entire kingdom with her cohort!"

The crowd gasped. Dahlia was confused. "Asha? No, it couldn't be. She wouldn't betray the royals as soon as she got here, right?" she laughed off the assumption.

Flazino refused to make eye contact with her. "I-I wouldn't know! Who is this Asha?" he laughed nervously.

"I have full faith that our loyal knights will capture the traitors as soon as possible and we'll put a stop to their rebellion before it can even start!" Amaya announced confidently.

Several knights that were scattered amongst the crowd saluted with renewed confidence. "You heard our queen! We'll find those traitors together!" The captain of the guard announced.

The rest of the knights banded together and left the crowd to proceed with their new mission. The remaining citizens were beginning to get worried about their safety. Except for Dario, he seemed chill after seeing a giant yellow elephant destroy a chunk of the city. He just kind of blindly nodded.

"Now then. To ease everyone's minds we've decided to take a chance, and try something new." The king continued. "Tomorrow, we will be holding a special wish ceremony: We will grant 100 wishes in one night!"

That got all the citizens to cheer. Now there was a high chance anyone could have their dreams become a reality. Some had been waiting years for this!

"That means...I can finally become a knight?" Simon whispered to himself. He could finally stop the endless training that seemingly drained him of energy.

"This is something we've planning for quite some time. Almost feels its been a century since we started!" The queen said with a small chuckle. "And we'll have plenty of new arrivals coming to join us in the event!"

"So as we prepare for this event, please remain calm and remember," Magnifico started.

"Just keep wishing!" Dairo cut in.

"Watch your back." The king's tone suddenly grew serious. Just as quickly, his voice went back to friendly as he said, "Ta-ta for now!" The mirror developed smoke once again the images of the Royal disappeared.

"Oh. I thought he was going to say 'Just keep wishing'." Dario scratched his head.

"Well, I guess you can't predict everything they're going to do." Hal responded as the citizens began to go their separate ways.

While the rest of the citizens were excited for the event, the young apprentice was filled with dread. (What else is new?)

"Oh, this is bad. this is really, really bad..." He muttered to himself. He knew what was going to happen. "I have to warn the others..."

"Sorry, Dahlia. I'm gonna have to go." He told her as he handed her the parasol he conjured up when the rain started.

"Wait, where are you going?" she asked.

"Uhh, help the royals seek out the traitors? You know, before things get messy with them interrupting the ceremony."

(*coughcough foreshadowing *coughcough)

"Well, at least let me help you." Dahlia insisted. "Asha and I were best friends when she was in Rosas. I know she wouldn't do something as crazy take down a kingdom!"

She must've missed the fact Asha was the one on Elephant!Star earlier...

"How would you know? Its been years since you've seen each other. Maybe she's changed, or she's not the person you thought she was." Flazino folded his arms nervously. He hated talking about his friend like that, but he couldn't risk revealing himself as a traitor too.

Dahlia raised and a suspicious eyebrow. "And just what's that supposed to mean? You wouldn't happen be suggesting something about the king too, would you?"

The apprentice hesitated. If something was going to happen to him, shouldn't she know the truth about the king she was so enamored with? She might hate him for this, but it was better than seeing her possibly lose her life.

"All right, I wasn't going to say anything, but..." He looked around to make sure no one or even Sabor was listening. He took a few steps toward her and spoke in a low voice. "Magnifico isn't the man you think he is."

She shook her head. "Look, I now he kind of makes you work hard but-"

"I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the wishes. He doesn't grant any wishes that threaten his power or will amount to anything. He and his wife have been hoarding all wishes of Rosas so they can gain power over this kingdom. He basically wants to rule the world even if he has to take our lives, and If I don't try to stop them before the ceremony, we could all die!" He prayed that she would believe him. He looked into Dahlia's eyes hoping for any sign she understood.

Finally she spoke up as she put a hand on his cheek. "Flazi, I really think you need to sleep. You sound like you're spiraling. I'm certain there isn't an evil plot going on. You're starting to sound like Gabo."

Flazino sighed as he pulled away. "Forget it. Just stay safe, all right? I'll see you on Tuesday your family has that bake sale." He turned to head back home, completely ignoring the rain falling on him.

Dahlia stared at him confused. "Flazi, its Friday. That was three days ago."

Flazino stared back at Dahlia for a few seconds, then he let out a wheezing laugh as he slowly turned around and walked away. "What is my life?" He managed to say, still laughing. He really was in bad need of some sleep.

(This guy's mental health is at an all time low. Get him THERAPY. 😅)

The screen suddenly cuts to black, then slowly white sparkles appear over the black until its entirely covered in stars. An echoed voice says "Where am I? Star? Valentino?"

Asha looks down and see she's somehow floating in space, and her physical form has changed. She now appeared as a sketchy outline, with a purple glow.

She turned around and could suddenly see the bright sun, yet she didn't feel its heat. "Am I...." She couldn't even finish. Had Magnifico won?

Asha's thoughts were interrupted by a another outlined figure floating by. It resembled a large man, but without the details of his cloak or face aside from basic features.

Another figure passed Asha, this time a young woman. Soon, star people had appeared all around her, floating to and fro as they went around space. It was like Rush Hour in the stars!

"Are these all stars? Wow, Dad wasn't kidding when he said the stars were like us. That, or its all a dream." She looked around her in amazement. Then she realized one star in particular was missing.

Asha moved in one direction, trying to locate her friend. She knew to look for Earth since that was clearly his favorite. She quickly found her home planet and indeed found Star.

But...something wasn't right here. Star was the only one looking at Earth. All of these other star nomads, yet none of them joined him?His back was to her, but he could hear a longing sigh come from him as looked at the planet.

"Star?" Asha called to him. Her voice echoed in space, but he didn't react.

She floated over to him. "Are you here....all alone?" she asked as she put a hand on his shoulder. Right as his head moved to face her, the screen is suddenly black.

Asha eyes popped open and she shot up as if she awakened from a dream. It took her a moment to realize she was back on Earth in all its 2D glory. Somehow she had gotten onto a bare matress, which was strange considering she was just outside only a moment ago.

She looked around and was in an unfamiliar place. It looked like a small cottage that only one person lived in. There was a small table with a couple of chairs and some scattered items to make shift a living room. On one of the walls there was a picture of the Royal with several holes in it. Seemed to be leftover from playing a game of darts on it.

Whoever lived here didn't like the royals either, so it looks like not everyone in Rosas is fooled.

Asha's thoughts were interrupted by a small bleating sound. She looked down and saw Valentino trot to her and lick her hand. "Glad to see you're okay too, Val." She smiled in relief and pat his head. She then realized, "Where's Star?"

The goat trotted over to the other side of the room, where Star was leaning against it. He was still asleep even with Valentino nuzzling his hand to wake him. He looked worried about the star.

"Finally, you're awake." A new voice entered.

Asha quickly turned and saw Gabo just entering the place. He was holding a few apples in one of his arms. Valentino belated in joy and ran towards the boy, as he was eager to have some of the fruit.

"You again? Why did-no, how did we get here? Last thing I remember was leaving Rosas, and then...." She suddenly remembered: Both she and Star passed out after fighting Magnifico. Something in his magic must have made them weak and lose consciousness. But that doesn't explain how they were in this place.

"Oh, that." Gabo kneel down and gave the goat an apple, which he happily munched on. "I wanted to see where you were going with that elephant after you rightfully destroyed part of Rosas. But I saw you and that guy on the ground."

He grabbed a nearby chair and sat down. "I tried to wake you up, but you wouldn't budge, so I just took you back to my special home away from home till you woke up. Good thing too, there are tons guards looking for you now."

Asha sighed. She really didn't want to involve more people, but she was greatful for Gabo's help. Even if he was a little grumpy. "Thanks, you really didn't have to do that."

"I know, but I wanted to help a fellow rebel. I knew I wasn't the only one who didn't like those two!" Gabo laughed but then turned a bit concerned. "Oh and....I'm sorry about your funny looking friend there." He gestured to Star.

Asha didn't understand. "What do you mean?"

Gabo shrugged. "I couldn't hear a heartbeat from him when we got here, He's....gone."

The girl could feel her heart sink. Asha rushed over to Star and shook his shoulders. "Star! Star, please wake up! STAR!" Her voice grew louder as she became desperate.

After a few agonizing moments of silence...

The star woke up with a snort and look frightened. "WHAT? WHAT? WHAT DID I MISS? IS THE SKY FALLING?!" Star shouted as he looked around. He was confused like Asha on how they got inside.

Valentino bleated in joy as Gabo was scared to say the least. "He's not some undead skeleton soldier now is he?!" He used the chair he was sitting on as a shield for himself.

Star calmed down once he saw Asha's face. Her eyes were just beginning to well up with tears. "Oh hey, Asha! Wait, what happened with you? Are you hurt or-"

Asha hugged him tightly before he could finish. "Thank goodness you're all right." she sighed with relief in her voice. "I couldn't bare it if Magnifico got you too."

The star stopped when he heard those words. He could feel she meant every word, so he gently hugged her back and smiled.

Gabo slowly lowered his chair shield. Luckily the guy turned out to be normal despite his weird appearance. Then another thought popped into his head as he watched them. They seemed like they were more than just friends... Gabo quickly moved that thought away. He already had the sickening sight of the royals being all over each other, he didn't need to see another obnoxious couple.

"Anyways," he finally spoke up and the two separated. "Now that he's not a corpse. I gotta ask? Why are you two hear anyway? And I want the truth, cause if I sense your tricking me," he pulled out a small dagger from his belt. "You'll regret it."

Somehow Asha wasn't intimated by this guy. He seemed to be all bark and no bite. But she better humor him just in case. She wasn't sure how he was going to take this news...

Asha took a deep breath. "Fine. Last night, my saba told me he wants me to stop the royals as his last wish. I...didn't know how I was even going to do that, so I got desperate. I made a wish.... on a star for help."

Gabo scowled and folded his arms as he looked at Asha. "What are you, five?"

(Literally the only line I laughed at in the movie, not even joking)

Asha ignored the insult. "And...." She slowly gestured her hands towards her glowing friend. "Star answered."

"Hiiii!" Star grinned and waved at Gabo.

Gabo rubbed his temples to help process the information. "All right, so...you wished for a magical boyfriend to help you defeat the royals?"

"Yes. WAIT, NO-" Asha sputtered. "Why do people keep saying that?!"

(Cause its true, Asha)

"Okay, we're not in some fairytale with singing animals and pixie dust! We're in the real world, and stars don't just turn into...into people!"

Asha looked at Star. "I knew he wouldn't believe us."

Star hummed for a moment. "I'll just explain it the same way I did for you, Asha!" He jumped to his feet. "I don't have the forest animals with me as background singers, but I'll do my best!"

"Star, you don't have to-"

Star cleared his throat as the first notes of "I'm A Star" starts playing. 🎵"Have you ever wondered-"🎵

A record skip sound effect interrupts the music as Gabo puts a hand over Star's mouth. "No, no, no. I believe you, I don't need a musical number. You're glowing yellow, that's good enough." He seriously wasn't in the mood for that.

"Listen, Gabo, is it? We don't have a lot of time here. Star is helping me save Rosas because the royals are practically taking their lives. They're not going to stop until they have ultimate power, even if that means destroying Star for it."

For once, Gabo's scowl turned into a smile. "I knew it. I KNEW IT! Those two are evil!" He pumped a first in the air. "I called it! Especially when all those people went missing!"

Asha's ears perked up. "What do you mean missing people?"

Gabo grabbed Star and pulled the both them near his face and whispered. "For the past couple of weeks, I've been hearing about some people that've gone missing. Some from six years ago and a few more neighbors vanished from the kingdom. Mark my words, there’s trouble a-brewin’. They're keeping them in some secret dungeon cause king thinks they're traitors."

He pulled back. "They're not getting their hands on me though, especially that sleepyhead guard."

Asha immediately knew. "I'm not sure about the dungeon, but I was part of the group that disappeared six years ago. We need to stop them before they anymore lives. Can you help us?"

Gabo gave a nod. "You can count me. Now, I better make sure the coast is clear around the area. If we're gonna move in this city, I'll have to search the area where the guards are so were not followed."

He walked over to the front door as Asha asked him a question. "You're not going to sneak off and backstab us are you?" Asha eyed him suspiciously.

"I don't squeal, sister." As he opened the door to leave, he turned and looked at the pair. "Hey, just a heads up. Don't do anything weird while I'm gone, kay?"

Asha looked confused. "What do you mean?"

"You know...things people do sometimes when they're alone together. I really don't want to come back and you two are in the middle of something."

Asha's eyes widened as her cheeks slightly flushed. "WE DON'T DO THAT." She firmly stated.

Star didn't get it. "Do what? Did I miss something?"

"Just checking." With that he closed the door and headed out. The rain had eased up since this morning. As he adjusted his hat and turned the corner, a large sleepy figure peek out from the other side, keeping an eye on him.

Back inside, the trio had to brainstorm a new idea. "So, we got your saba's wish, so what now?" the star asked as he sat beside her on the mattress.

"We'll just have to think of a new plan to get the rest." Asha said as she grabbed her sketchbook from her satchel. "We've gotten closer then I could've imagined. Now we just-" Her eyes widened when she felt the pencil in her hand. "Oh no..."

Star looked worried. "What? What happened?"

Asha slowly pulled out the graphite pencil, which had been broken into small pieces after the brief fight with Magnifico. "Its destroyed." she finally said in disbelief.

Star looked at the broken object and didn't understand. "That's one of those drawing sticks? Can't you just get another one-"

"I can't get another one. Not like this one." Asha cut him off. "Its not like I can just focus on love and it fixes itself. This, along with my sketchbook were some of the last things my dad gave me before he died. Its all I have left of him..." She chocked up at the thought. Valentino trotted to her to comfort his friend.

Up until now, the star had never seen Asha like this. She usually was the grounded and more serious one of the two. He's seen her happy (which was his favorite), angry and even a bit snarky, but never filled with such sadness.

Star could actually feel that same sadness in his chest when he looked at her. It wasn't something he liked, neither for Asha or himself.

"Asha. Hold out your hand." He finally said.

Asha looked at Star with surprise. She had never heard him be serious. He was like a ball of energy most of the time. Nevertheless, she did as he asked.

Star gently put the pieces that fit together as best he could, then closed her hand, and put his hands on top of hers.

Star took a deep breath and used the same concentration he used on Sabino's wish. Soon his hands began to glow. Valentino took several backs, knowing by now how bizarre the star's magic could be.

Asha could feel Star's magic moving and shifting in her hand. It had such a warmth and kindness to it. After a few moments the glowing stops and the sparkles fade. Star took his hands away and Asha opened hers, revealing the pencil was once again in its original state.

"You...you fixed it?" Asha couldn't believe the sight.

"Whew! I'm glad that worked!" Star had returned with his familiar smile. "Go ahead, draw something!" he insisted.

Asha drew a quick sketch of Valentino. The pencil did work, but then the drawing blinked twice. The handdrawn Valentino moved around and hopped in joy.

"Wha-how-how did you do that?" Asha asked stunned.

"I just did what you said, focused on love! Since it means a lot to you, figured why not give it an extra magic touch?" Star winked. "Look at him go!"

Valentino tried to get a peek at the drawing by standing on his hind legs. He was a bit scared of seeing a copy of himself.

Asha and Star couldn't help but laugh at the drawing, as it chased around a small ball like a puppy.

Asha looked at Star, who was still amazed by the moving art. "Thank you, Star." she said softly.

"Hey, anything for you." Star replied, grinning.

The two of them looked at each other, fondly. For Asha, she began to feel something stirring within her. When she looked at Star she now saw someone she couldn't imagine her life without. And seeing his smile warmed her heart.

Wait, was she....falling in...? She shook her head to snap out of it, there was no way that was happening!

"Listen, I'm sorry about everything that's happened so far. I put both of us in danger. We're lucky we made it out alive."

Star scoffed as he crossed his legs. "Don't be, this is the most fun I've ever had! Even with some power hungry humans that want to drain me....I'm having a good time! Sure beats being back up there." He looked upwards at the ceiling, slightly relieved he wasn't looking at the night sky to remind him of his past.

Hearing that, Asha thought about her own home. Her mother and grandfather had no idea what was going on. "You know, I know you never mention a family, but I'm beginning to worry about mine."

"Not sure if you'd want to meet mine." Star shrugged as he pet Valentino's head. "I've got 5 brothers. My mom always had a hard time getting us just to stay in one place when we traveled. And Dad always told me," he pretended to have a deep voice." 'Don't just spend your life floating around space. Do something with your freedom!' That's all I CAN do, dad!" He exclaimed.

Asha snickered. "Your family sounds fun, actually. My mother helped keep us together after my father passed. And Sabino... is actually similar to you. He's got a lot of energy for someone in his eighty's."

Star whistled. "He sounds older than most of the stars in the sky! Was he there when the Earth started too?"

Asha burst out laughing. "Stop that, I'm serious!" She eventually composed herself again.

"Looking back, I wished I had gone and at least told them what I'm doing for the hamlet. I feel terrible about leaving him in the dark about this. I just hope I'm not putting them in danger." She looked down at her sketchbook, in which a page centered on her saba and mother.

Star looked at Aaha's eyes, which had a hint of sadness in them. He then had a playful smirk as he inched closer to Asha.

"I know what you need...." He spread his arms wide and suddenly turned into a bear. "Come on, bring it in!"

Asha had to hold back a laugh. "Star, no! Change back to Normal!"

"You definitely need an extra large hug after all you've been through. It always makes me feel better!" He pointed out as he got closer to her.

Asha took a few steps back. "Star, I'm serious! Change back before-" her words were cut off by Star pulling her into a bear hug and laughed.

A part of her wanted to enjoy this, but considering that they were fugitives on the run, they didn't have the time to goof off.

"Okay, we need to stop before someone sees us." She quickly tried to get out of his now large arms.

"Relax, no one's gonna see us. Just enjoy it!" Star assured her as he hugged her tighter.

At that moment, Gabo had burst through the door by accident. He intended to lose Simon in a different place, but he ended up leading him straight to the pair.

All four of them looked at each other in dead silence, until Gabo misread Star and Asha's bear hug.

"Look, I don't mind you two like to roleplay, but couldn't that wait till later?" Gabo avoided eye contact with them. He was actually considering being thrown in the dungeon might be better than seeing this.

"WHAT IN GRIMM'S NAME IS THAT?!" Simon exclaimed taking several steps back in fear.

"No no, its okay, I don't bite! I don't even look like this all the time!" Bear!Star tried to explain.

"You are so not helping, Star!" Asha hurried herself out of his furry arms. "First off Gabo, its not what it looks like at all. And second, who is that?" she gestured to the scared teen, who's back was against the wall, petrified.

"I didn't want to bring him here! This guy chased me nearly all over Rosas and I ended up coming back here." Gabo threw his hands up. "The one time he's actually awake..."

Meanwhile, Simon slowly inched his away from the conversation, trying to make a silent escape. "I have to warn the king..." his voice shaked as he briefly looked at Bear!Star.

Right before he could fully escape, Asha had grabbed him by the collar. "Oh no, you don't! You're not blowing our cover, get in here." with that she pulled him inside and slammed the door.

Simon was still slightly panicking, but tried to be brave. "All right, you got me. What do you plan on doing to me? Sic your demon bear or goat on me?"

"BAAAAAHH!" Valentino said in shock and turned his nose up at him.

"Valentino said he's a vegetarian." Bear!Star translated. "And I'm not a bear. At least not all the time." A yellow flash of light appeared and Star returned to his human form. "See, perfectly normal!"

The poor teen's mind could barely process all this.

"Yes, a glowing human is perfectly normal." Asha sighed. Then she turned her attention to Simon. "Look, we're not going to hurt you, but you can't tell the king and queen, period."

"Or else we'll gut you like a fish." Gabo pointed out, half jokingly.

"What did I just say, Gabo?" Asha hissed at him.

"Wait a minute, I get it now. You're the traitor with that giant elephant that wrecked Rosas!" Simon's fear began to shrink and grew to anger. "I should've known you'd be working for him." He pointed and accusing finger at the small teen.

"You've been a pain in the neck all this time, and you're now trying to kill the king and queen I'm not letting that happen!"

"Us?! They're the ones trying to kill us!" Asha retorted. "They're not exactly the benevolent rulers you think they are!"

"Which I've been saying for months now!" Gabo added, still proud his theory was true.

Simon scoffed. "Of course you'd say that. I'm not falling for any of this. You're all coming with me to pay for your crimes."

Gabo pulled out his dagger. "Go ahead, sleepyhead! We're not afraid of you!"

"For the last time, put that thing back where it came from or so help me!" Asha had to pull Gabo back before he committed and actual crime.

"Guys! Wait!" Star flew over them, trying to break the (almost) fight. "Asha, let me try something here. Maybe he can help us!"

"Why would I help a bunch of criminals?"

"Says the guy who's working for criminals!"

Asha put a hand over Gabo's mouth to shut him up. "Maybe he's right. The more I'm thinking about this, the more I'm realizing this is even bigger than Star and I-and you-can handle."

Gabo removed her hand. "And you want him to help?"

Simon attempted to back away again, but Star floated down to him.

"Go ahead, Star. Do it." She said as she kept her guard up, while Gabo kept his dagger up.

Star nodded and turned to Simon.

"Look, I don't know you, like at all, but I can tell you're missing something. In your heart." Star slowly placed a hand on Simon's chest. He could feel as if the sleepy teen had a hole in his heart.

Simon tensed up believing he was about to be cursed, but his body relaxed when he could feel Star's magic. It warmed a part of him that had been affected my Magnifico. It was temporary, but it felt nice.

"Simon, didn't you have a wish too?" Asha asked.

The teen hesitated at first, but took a deep breath. "I wanted to be a knight ever since I was a kid. I've been training with my dad ever since I gave my wish to the king. But....lately I've been feeling like its pointless. I was hoping if I could prove myself, Magnifico would make an exception and grant it early."

His eyes widened with hope. "Hey, can you grant wishes too?"

Star shrugged. "Ehhhhh....not exactly like that guy. I'm still working on granting Asha's."

"Oh." Simon replied deflated.

"Magnifico never planned on doing that. He lied to my entire family and never granted their wishes. They're the reason we and other people escaped from him. They could kill them the same way they killed my father." Asha's voice grew cold as the memory haunted her.

The two boys' eyes widened as she finished. Not even Star was prepared for something that tragic.

"So please. Can you help us stop them before they destroy any more lives?"

Simon sat down in a chair for a few moments, his mind focused on his decision.

The others waited patiently. Valentino was a little restless though.

After a few moments, Gabo walked over to him. "You didn't fall asleep with your eyes open did you? Cause that would be a new one." Gabo asked as he waved a hand over Simon's eyes.

Simon grabbed his wrist to make him stop, and he slowly looked at the three of them. "What do you need me to do?"

FINAL THOUGHTS

So now we've started assembling the teens! Two down, five to go:

I got the idea to slowly add each teen instead of all at once cause I think its just way easier to write them like that. (Wait till you see Dario and Hal's reactions....) The movie would've benefited from taking the time to show them have personalities rather than just relying on the dwarves references. Plus in just a few more chapters we'll be getting to "Knowing What I Know Now" and our villain song! That's right, I'm adding a villain song to my rewrite! I did use the instrumentals to "TITTIG" back when the royals had their commercial, so I'll be using the TRUE villain song created by Milkymelodies. Just take out the speaking part before the song starts and there's literally nothing else to edit.

Plus, now we've gone from sprinkling some Starsha to just serving plates of it. There's lots more coming by the time we get to "At All Costs" so strap in! And now you have the full context of that certain scene I showed you guys. I was just messing with you, they're still wholesome! 😂

Writing Gabo and Simon, I wanted to expand the personalities more here. The rest will get the same treatment. Gabo's a grump because he hates living in a place where the rulers are basically taking advantage of people and practically a crime family. So there's the angry part. And Simon's sleepy because not only has his wish being taken affected his energy, he's also struggling to keep up with his training and both are taking a toll on him. That won't stop him from trying to become a knight, though. Dario is actually going to be the easiest to join, if you can believe it. 😂

Also Flazino is gonna be in absolute pain soon since that deleted scene will be featured soon , so look forward to that. This poor guy's on his last shred of sanity, but Asha's gonna save him, don't worry. (There's your angst and loads of it!)

Once again it'll be a delay before the next chapter, but I would like to drop some fun facts and explain more of the magic of this rewrite later on, since we're getting to the halfway point of the story, and it hints at the Star vs Magnifico battle. Trust me, the final battle is going to even bigger than your standard Disney ending. It'll be along the lines of battling Scar, Maleficent and Jafar. And I'll work in the "This Wish" reprise, just not the way it normally goes in other takes.

Was looking at the helluva boss pride art again and im just genuinely so upset about verosika, I know vivzie really likes using bi and pan people as a get out of jail free card so she can just ship them with whoever she feels like, but im mostly disappointed because I was ORIGINALLY impressed because I thought she was holding one of the intersex flags (the pink and blue one I think, I dunno much about the flag but yknow) and then I realised its just the pan flag as highlights in her hair and viv is just like borderline fetishising bi/pan stuff again.

It would’ve been really interesting to have an intersex character in literally any capacity. Idk TMI I guess but as a sex worker who doesn’t really have “regular equipment” it got me excited and then I remembered that vivzie would never include an intersex character or anything more “convoluted” than like the most basic well known sexualities and then like 1 trans side character. Genuinely I don’t think we are ever going to get a main character that has a gender that doesn’t get put into a binary definition. I talk about him so often but literally I think Angel is the closest thing we are ever getting to a main character that has a different sense of gender. If we get a random nonbinary character, awesome! But even then I can’t find the hope in my heart to say it’ll even be portrayed correctly. Viv would have a fucking heart attack if she saw all my labels and genders and flags I have

Im not kidding if a hazbin or helluva character ever had a xenogender of any kind I will actually eat my fucking pants.
