Today is the FINAL installment of the Vacation Indecision Project!

Collar and side seams sewn, it's finally possible to try this on!

Um. These sleeves are very tight. And sitting weirdly low. Some of that will be taken out in seam allowance, but that is still quite low. And it barely goes over my head. I can button the back, but I can't close the front. The cuffs are similarly tight. And I do not have the fabric to cut this out again, even if I had the patience to re-sew all the plackets.

Last time something like this happened, the designer had removed seam allowance from a bodice piece cut on the fold... But that time the sleeves fit. I'm guessing the problem here is that only your chest measurement is used for sizing, and mine isn't as impressive as most tailoring guidelines expect.

To keep this remotely wearable (most of it is pretty wide and shapeless after all) I'm taking out just a smidge of side seam and sacrificing some sleeve puff to... Uh.. have blood flow to my arms when wearing it. And pinning the sleeves in a tulipy situation to keep them in the right mood, but so I can easily get my arms in and out.

This solution means I'm missing out on sewing 8 teenie tiny button holes for buttons I would have had to go out and buy, and which would have annoyed the crud out of me each time I was at a table or desk. Sometimes, the sewing gods are kind.

And while I'm doing that, I'm doing the same for the buttons at the neck. I'll take oxygen over elegance. If I change my mind, I can always thread some string elastic through the sides of the neck placket and use that as button loops.

At least this won't shrink, as my prewashing routine involved a 60°C cycle and a dryer set to "fuck my shit up".

Unforeseen though foreshadowed circumstances dealt with and sleeves set in, it's time to gather and add The Ruffle.

I do not like gathering stuff. Doing it 7 separate times during this project did not change my mind. I do not want to think about how many pins I used and sewed over for this. Just getting it pinned took most of a Myth Busters episode.

I am very much over this project at this point, and am incredibly grateful for past me who hemmed this beast ahead of time.

As expected, I'm a very comfortable but reasonably well dressed potato. And I'm still not convinced by the purply undertone to this floral. So...

First it stops me from doing embroidery to the tune of "no do, just collect kits" because "you don't get a practical item in the end so it is pointless"

But at least. I'm continuing with the back of the Tunisian crochet body. Soon I'll reach the same amount of rows on front and back and start doing them both at the same time, which is. Yes, unhinged, but saves me from constantly going back to the kitchen scale. Because they are both crocheted from the same cake

The sleeve is lying beside me for emotional support <3 it's now at almost 33/125 rows past the ribbing, and I'll switch to it again when my hands start dying from the Tunisian hook again. Or when I want to hold something soft and fluffy, as opposed to somehow constantly cold hook. I think that's a very reasonable strategy!!

You sat quietly in a stall on the territory of the divination commission and prayed to all possible aeons that neither the cloud knights nor the monsters of Mara would find you tonight. In your hands, you randomly sorted through the puzzle that your father gave you before his death, now more than ever it helped you calm down and distract yourself. Ideally, you wanted to escape from Xianzhou and never come back. Such a short-lived brat as you have nothing to do here.

Suddenly, your peace was disturbed by approaching footsteps. Knights?... Mara's monsters?... In the blink of an eye, you prayed that they were knights. If someone will gonna find you, then let it be knights! However...

There was a growl. The man in front of you was like a wild beast that was about to pounce on you. You saw him swing his sword sharply, and have already managed to say goodbye to life.

"Bladie, listen to me..."

Tears immediately ran down your cheeks when you realized that you were almost killed. The fear of death hit you so hard that you practically didn't hear what that woman was saying to her friend.

"Child, could you please vacate this kiosk for an indefinite amount of time?"

Not remembering yourself, you flew out of a small room and sat down nearby.

"Thanks. Also, could you be very quiet?"

You nodded your head, unconsciously, and clamped your hands over your mouth. You're lucky that this woman was too busy at that moment, and you had a couple of minutes to recover.

Out of the corner of your eye, you started watching her with curiosity and caution. Your little fingers were still sorting through the puzzle. After a couple of seconds, you looked into the corner of your eye again and shuddered when you caught her gaze.

"Hmm... And what is a kid like you doing late at night in a place teeming with monsters? Are you lost? Or maybe you're hiding from someone?"

Your heart skipped a beat and she laughed softly at your face.

"So you are hiding. Relax, I won't give you away. To tell the truth, I'm hiding myself."

Her smile was sly, but her voice was soothing.

"What is that in your hands? Some kind of puzzle?"

"Y... yes."

"Can I take a look?"

"Of course..."

Hesitantly, you approached her and carefully handed her the puzzle.

'Among all the places and options where we could meet, this is it. I see.'

Her face was relaxed and even satisfied as she twirled in her hands the thing invented by your father. Suddenly her hand came down on your head and lazily patted it.

"Are you good at solving this puzzle?"

"I... Not... Not really..."

"I see. Then I can offer you my helping hand in this matter a little later..."

The future may be completely different, but as a rule there are common points in it. And for some reason, your meeting with Kafka became such a point. It intrigues her to some extent. What is so special about an ordinary timid child?

Despite her maximally relaxed facial expression, her eyes are sharp and they study you very carefully. Kafka sees your indecision and understands it, but...

Does not accept it.

my take on Raphael is very whimsical and indulgent; I like to highlight his flaws (pride, namely) and his weird idiosyncrasies. Should You Quit Your Job?

A lot of indecisive energy here, spirit is saying yes but is also saying no, quite frankly, within the next few months to a year, you’ll receive your answer/ clarity. Look for a sign that’s going to help you with this decision in divine timing. You’re also needing to remember that you are the creator of your own reality, nobody else! You also need to know that you do have the freedom of choice but do take caution of the red flags and all of the signs that are telling you NOT to do it… at least not yet. So if you decide to still take that leap do keep in mind of the consequences of being impulsive. How you view this job and the energy you put back will always reflect back to you. So if you believe that you’ll make the best of this situation and grow within your current situation, then all will go well for you but if it’s the other way around then yeah expect to have a really hard time. Get out of your head and into your heart! No need to overthink anything at this time, take some time to recharge and recuperate… maybe even taking a vacation will help in relieving this inner and external conflict that you’re constantly fighting. I see something being resurfaced, this looks like an idea for most of you, give it some thought, get more information on this idea/ new project and take baby steps. Hey, look at the picture maybe the job that you’re working at will help you in funding this side hustle for you 🤷🏾‍♀️. Sea turtles and yellow fish are your confirmation. My life right now

Finances: Not so bad that I can’t take care of myself, but bad enough to stop me from treating myself to anything nice, even with gift cards.

Car: *Get stolen*

Car: *Gets recovered the next day, but gets put on police hold for being involved in other car theft incidents. According to towing company, very likely has had drugs used in it, so contents (nothing financially valuable, but sentimentally valuable, like a blanket from a not-popular series that I can’t find a replacement for) may be unsalvageable.

I get advised to buy another car-I have about 3 weeks to do this before my parents go on a retirement vacation bc I cannot drive the one vehicle we currently have. I have less than 10k to my name.

Besides the financial shock, feel personally violated and helpless.

Cannot get ahold of insurance person because of holiday. School starts tomorrow and I’m busy all day. Don’t feel ready for school. Debating if I’ll even be able to complete school this time, or if it will really accomplish anything.

Neurology department is closed because of holiday. I don’t know if they received my (now month-old) referral) so I can finally maybe get seen for my 2-year back pain issue. I now struggle to lift even 40lbs.

Give up on March anime con- one of two of the basically holidays I have during the year. Because even if I could afford to take the day off, I’d want to buy stuff. Questioning giving up on the big con in September.

Have to struggle with my stupid ADHD brain which wants to buy stuff, and finds at least momentary happiness in buying stuff, but not only can I not justify or afford anything, but any indecision tears me up and turns me into a self-destructive crying mess.

Major Pokémon card collector’s items currently available, with a special set dropping at the end of the month. Can’t buy it.

Limited edition twst perfumes from an indie perfume shop I follow on etsy. Can’t buy them.

Dice for games I don’t play. Yarn for projects I don’t need to do. Books/manga I don’t have time to read. Games I don’t actually need (like Violet). Incense I asked for for Christmas but didn’t get. Foods from restaurants bc none of our regualar family meals are ‘comfort food’ to me, and in fact the thought of eating them (even steak) makes me upset).

Feeling so tired and drained and knowing people are probably worried about my sudden radio silence after saying I felt suicidal, but just...being unable and unwilling to do anything. Feeling guilty when people try to reach out.

Crying. Again. And again. Struggling for air through sobs. Pretty sure at this point I can’t be fixed.

The Vacation Indecision Project continues!

Got a late start today, because one of our dogs decided the way I wasn't going to work on a Monday was suspicious and reason to act anxious, and absolutely nothing I did would convince him I wouldn't be abandoning him forever. It's been literal months since he had an anxiety day that bad. To make matters worse, I eventually did have to leave the house for mockup fabric groceries and medication.

But I finally did get behind the craft table, metamizole tablets gratefully replenished, and started sewing together things I pinned yesterday.

For, y'know. 45 minutes. Then there were another 35 minutes spent at the overlocker, finishing all the edges of this fabric that is absolutely stable until it decides to dissolve when you look at it wrong. I've made a paneled circle skirt in this stuff before. Fool me once, and all that. Also, I've never sewn this before, there's some techniques I don't do a lot, so I'm just finishing all the edges while everything is flat and relatively simple shapes, so I don't have to do geometry while panicking later. It's worth the extra thread it uses.

But, as we all know, most of the time in a sewing project is not spent sewing if you're doing it by machine. Most of my sewing skills come down to skimming the instructions for how much stuff can be done before I have to start ironing. Trendy YouTubers call this "batch working" instead of "putting of the inevitable".

And after all that, the pile to be pinned is... Smaller that yesterday. Some bits are as done as they'll be before being joined, others are waiting on bits and bobs to be fenagled before they can be used at all.

The only thing that needs much more work is the waist tie and the ruffle. I decided to work on the one that isn't 4 m long first. If you iron something well enough, you can sometimes get away with not pinning it. And many thanks to Quiltbr for teaching me that you want to use diagonal seams when piecing long, skinny bits that are going to be folded and run under a sewing machine.

Put in the pockets, leaving the iron on for the little bits of pressing needed for this. Then I noticed I could already put in the wrist plackets if I wanted to. Have I ever put in a placket? No, I just make potato dresses and shove in an elastic over the butt seam so they hang nicer. But how hard could it be?

Half an hour later, covered in an admirable amount of nervous sweat, I had managed to put these two miniscule little [undeserved expletive deleted] without needing to rip anything out, or introducing puckers, or having them be hugely uneven. I only nearly burned my fingers. Three times.

To come down from that adventure, I figured I could finish the raw edges of that frill. All 4+ meters of it. Twice, because there's two sides. And join it in the middle. And, seeing that the night light is on again, use my last two frazzled brain cells to mark the center points of it. And the quarter points. Actually, make that 8ths.

... I'm gonna have to do so much gathering tomorrow, and I'm already trying to negotiate it to pleats instead.

Oh well. We went from 33 pattern pieces at 7 pm to 17 right now, which feels admirable enough.

Why this story?

Over the last 2 years, I've been suffering from intermittent bouts of dizziness and head pressure. Recently, I finally got my diagnosis of vestibular migraine, which has been a relief and given me a lot of clarity. Nonetheless, the harrowing experience of not knowing what was wrong with me and feeling like this long-unexplainable something was ruining every part of my life caused me to start creating stories about it to make it more manageable.

TCOU was originally my response to a friend's challenge to write a contemporary story. I've never written anything contemporary other than fics before, so I thought it would be an exciting project to get me out of my comfort zone. The concept started out as an aroace, chronically ill Pride & Prejudice, but has evolved into something very different. I now think of it as more of a general romance for non-romantics. It's a story about aro and ace people getting to star in their own romance. It's about a chronically ill heroine learning to love herself. It's about people using (but not totally adhering) to societal constraints in order to claw their way to their happy endings.

“Hi everyone!“, Rae, aka the creator of today’s lobby, greets us all as we pile in one by one, excited to start the stream. 

I am especially excited however because I haven’t participated in a stream in quite a while seeing as how I’ve been very busy with my original content - animations. I made an animation talking about my vacation to Canada over the winter about two years ago. In my defense, it was a long video and I hadn’t posted in so long that I wanted to make it a special comeback - sort of - and something to repay my audience for their patience. I got too carried away in the gaming world and forgot my main field which is animation.

“Hi guys! Missed ya!“ I greet them for myself too, genuinely happy to be back seeing as how it’s been so long since I’ve talked to them or played Among Us with them. Maybe that’s another reason why the animation took so long to be finished: I lose motivation when I’m not social and since I don’t leave my house a lot when I’m working on a project, these guys are usually my only social interaction and without them I turned into a literal bum. “How have you all been? How’s it going?”

“It was barely going, to be honest.“ Corpse says with a huff of laughter.

“Yeah, it was super boring without you! Glad you’re back!“ Poki interferes too, her statement widening my smile.

“Aww thanks guys! I’m glad to be back too, feels like it’s been forever since I last was in this Discord server or in an Among Us lobby.“ I say, throwing a quick glance at my chat to see the excited comments left there by my viewers.

“Oh, and congrats on making it on Trending! I was overjoyed when I saw your video on the Trending tab, you don’t even know.“ Rae gushes, bringing a slight blush to my cheeks - yeah I know, I suck at receiving compliments about my work, I’m working on it though!

To be perfectly honest, that video didn’t deserve to make it to Trending. Hell, the chances of it making there were nonexistent considering my channel’s rather small and has a tight-knit community of about two hundred thousand people only. And I don’t mean that as though it’s a bad thing, I’m just using it to set the scene of how impossible it seemed to me that a video of mine would make it to Trending.

“Um yeah, thank you so much, Rae. Honestly, I need to thank Corpse for that.“ I say, my blush deepening as my cheeks grow even redder. “People thought the character in the animation was him so they had to investigate.“

Yeah, apparently a fan of mine who watched the video recognized the character of my boyfriend as Corpse and immediately took to Twitter to let people know what they’d found and man did it blow up. Anything involving Corpse blows up nowadays but I still owe him a ‘thank you’. One I bet he won’t accept. I know him too well at this point - I know he won’t take any credit for it whatsoever but oh whatever.

“My phone got blown up the day it was posted, holy crap.“ Corpse laughs, “I was so taken aback, in all honesty. I was like: yeah, no shit, Sherlock. - Thought everyone already knew we were dating. Like, the confusion really caught me off guard. I thought we were being obvious.“

Well....I guess that’s one way to reveal a relationship you’ve been keeping secret for months now.

“Thanks, babe. Couldn’t have done that any more originally, I guarantee.“ I sigh, tangling my fingers in the roots of my hair as I feel laughter bubbling up from my stomach to my chest, begging for me to let it out.

“Wait...“, Rae is, unsurprisingly, the one to break the silence that commences on our friends’ part, “WHAT?!“

“Yeah, I second that...“ Poki is quick to follow, “WHAT!?“

Sun Through The Houses

Sun in the 1st house: 

People notice these individuals because they are leaders and exude confidence. They are unapologetically themselves at all times regardless of where they are or who they are around. summary: obviously inspired by “Murder On The Orient Express” by Agatha Christie- The reader works as a detective and is on vacation with her girlfriend Lana on a victorian Express, which is run by Miss Venable. Everything's nice until one of the passengers, Pete Andrews, gets murdered.

You would have lied, if you said you never dreamed of such a case. The white alpine landscape, a train decorated in Victorian style, 7 dangerous women and a murder, that seemed insoluble.

You had expected to be able to go on vacation with your girlfriend on this express, but instead you had just been embroiled in another murdercase.

You expected to dream of the dreamy landscape of Europe, but instead you dreamed of thick, red blood dripping into the snow.

A murder, as perfect as it could be. A murder, as Agatha Christie once wrote. A murder, that every detective secretly dreamed of.

The loud knock of Miss Venable's cane interrupted your train of thought and reminded you why you were actually in her compartment, which was more or less her office.

"Miss Venable, do you know, that your express is filled with criminals?"

"Be brief, Miss Y / N, I don't have time for this. This train won't run by itself."

The voice of the woman in front of you was cold and brisk as always, but you had spoken to many figures in authority, in solving a case and you were able to deal with it.

"A mother, who poisoned her child. A doctor, who diagnosed and treated healthy people as sick. A fence, who was involved in a jewel robbery. A sadistic nurse and a senator, responsible for the murder of her own wife," you said theatrical and to be honest you had practiced the whole thing before, but as always you had forgotten someone.

"Oh and the nondescript housewife from St. Louis, of course, who's that innocent, that I'd almost class her as a prime suspect."

Of course, your eyes didn't miss the way Miss Venable's hands clenched aggressively around her cane when you mentioned Alice.

"I see Miss Winters did an excellent job with her research." The redhead growled angrily and leaned back in her chair.

"She did," you muttered with a loving smile.

"My girlfriend is like my Doctor Watson."

"Lovely", Miss Venable muttered annoyed and you would have loved to spit in her face for it, but instead you cleared your throat shortly before you continued.

"We have 7 suspects and nobody seems to know the murder victim, Pete Andrew, an elementary school teacher from washington, but still the killer is among us. We-"

"I think I misheard," Miss Venable interrupted and angrily tapped her cane on the wooden floor again.

"7 suspects?"

You nodded slowly and took your cup, filled with black tea, from the woman's desk again.

"Nobody saw you on the night of death, so you don't have a fixed alibi. And besides, my girlfriend found out some things about you, that could be important," you said and paused for a dramatic pause in which you took a sip of the warm tea.

"Except for my girlfriend, I have no one I can trust on this express. Each of the passengers, in my opinion, has the potential of a murderer. I expect every cooperation on your part, because I am solving this case only to save the reputation of your Express. That shit messes up my vacation too. "

Miss Venable nodded curtly.

"I am completely at your disposal."

You put the empty cup back on the table and gave the woman a bright smile.

"Alright," you said as you stood up and held out your hand to her.

The woman took it reluctantly and shook it after she got up.

"There's one more thing," Miss Venable mumbled, looking at you indecisively.

"Your girlfriend, Lana Winters, she is a journalist."

"I know," you said, still smiling.

"I don't want this tragedy to become public. My train is highly regarded in Europe and I want it to stay that way."

There was something threatening about the tone in her voice, and you didn't like it.

You shrugged and withdrew your hand.

"I can't forbid my girlfriend to write," you said and walked to the large ebony door.

"But she is fair and as I told you, Miss Venable, if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear."

ok poppy i'm rereading some of your stuff and reading about proposals and my hopelessly romantic ass needs, NEEDS, to know how the new bois would propose to their s/o.

Ash (Undergloom Sans): Pretty mundane, all things considered, he’s not really an over-the-top sorta guy. By the time he proposes, you’ve almost definitely had at least a handful casual conversations about getting hitched, just to make sure you’re on the same page about the idea. And then, you find the ring, hidden at the bottom of a basket of fries at Grillby’s (because of course it’s at Grillby’s) and the question in his eye-lights when you look back up at him. He won’t say it out loud, he wants you to have the out of shoving it back at him or maybe just quietly taking it if you’re not up for a scene--but if you lick the grease and salt off that puppy and slip it on your finger, you’re already in the best place to celebrate your engagement with all your friends and family!

Yrus (Undergloom Papyrus): Paralyzed by indecision on how to ask you, quite frankly. You’re his s/o, and very special and important to him, so he wants it to be perfect, exactly what you want... but how??? He spends months looking up proposal ideas, asking friends and family for advice, practically stressing himself to tears over how much he wants this to happen but just can’t decide on how to do it! You’re almost guaranteed to find out about it before he follows through on anything, and honestly, you should probably propose on his behalf. The tears will finally come then, but they’ll be happy ones, and hopefully the two of you can laugh about it later that it was his idea and he had everything ready, but you had to be the one to ask just to make it happen.

Brick (Horrorfell Sans): Once he’s decided that he really wants to be with you on a permanent basis, he’d like to make the proposal really special and memorable for you… but he doesn’t really have any ideas. He’s…not the most creative, or spontaneous, and everything he’s come up with feels boring or clichéd… In the end, the only thing he can think of is to just... rehearse and memorize a little speech-- the usual pre-proposal stuff, like what you mean to him, how much he loves you, the future he wants to have with you... He writes it all down, everything he wants to say to you, and drills it, over and over until he’s got every word down perfectly with no pauses or wrong signs or stand-in-words for what he actually means, like there usually are when you talk to him. When the time comes, it’s the skeleton-equivalent of muscle memory and he delivers his speech perfectly, flawlessly for you, ending on the classic ‘will you marry me?’ and watching carefully for your answer. (If it’s ‘yes,’ you can bet he’ll still remember the speech, word for word, years later and be able to repeat it to you whenever you ask-- your fifth, tenth, twentieth anniversary and beyond.)

King (Horrorfell Papyrus): Probably disappointing, honestly. He’s a very restrained and understated type of person, not the type to make a fuss, even about this. Honestly, you’ll be with him so long and so harmoniously that everyone you know will be assuming you’re already married before he’s ever said anything to you about it. And then, one day... he tells you that he’s looked into it and that it’d be relatively easy to make things official, he already knows the forms to fill out and the pieces of identification you’ll need, if that’s something you’d like to do. Not...very romantic...definitely not much of a wow factor... but you might feel at least a little flutter if you agree, because he’ll take your hand and press the back of it to his teeth and follow it up with, “GOOD. LET’S GET ON WITH FOREVER, THEN.” And he does mean that-- he only plans on marrying once, and you’re it for him.

Merc (Horrorswap Sans): You’ll find him in the kitchen, getting a little baking done. He’ll tell you, straight-faced and straight to your face, that he’s making a proposal cake...and ask if you’d like to help. You’ll probably assume it’s a paid project of his, for a client, and he’ll encourage your misunderstanding every step of the way. (Bonus points if you happen to have any comments--positive or negative--about the guy who’s proposing to his datemate with a cake!) The two of you will be flirting and cooperating and having a nice afternoon together making this cake--mixing the batter, putting on the frosting, carefully decorating it-- and it probably won’t occur to you that every part of it, from the flavors to the colors are exactly to your tastes... at least, not until he’s piping ‘Will You Marry Me’ on top and then spells out your name. The cheeky son of a bitch got you to help him bake your own proposal. He’ll slide the cake over to you with a patient smile while he waits for it to click, and to hear your answer to the question.

Ell (Horrorswap Papyrus): He’s definitely going to take a long time to get around to it, lots of hesitating and talking himself into and out of it. You’ll mostly likely be cuddled together, in the middle of the night, when he can’t wait anymore and nudges you awake to ask how you feel about doing something stupid. (It’s a prime opportunity for an ‘I’m doing you, aren’t I?’ joke, and honestly that might loosen a little bit of the tension for him if you’re quick enough on the draw to make it.) He’ll hem and haw and talk around it for awhile if you choose to probe into what he had in mind, but he’ll go for broke sooner or later and say that it’s marrying him, that he was thinking about. The stupid thing. That he...wondered if you would...do... He has a ring, which he fishes out from underneath the pillow, but the self-consciousness will start hitting him around then, and he probably won’t be able to look you in the eye as he sheepishly nudges it at you, waiting for your answer. If it just so happens to be ‘yes,’ well... he’ll probably be smiling into your shoulder all night and well into the morning.

Pitch (Horrorswapfell Sans): He wants an organic moment and he’ll wait as long as he needs to for a natural, intimate moment where it just feels right to ask. It’ll probably be a morning, early but not so early that the sun isn’t coming through the windows and making everything feel warm and pleasant as you start the day. Domesticity in its purest form, he’d most like to catch you getting some chores done with a little music playing, the perfect excuse to sweep you into a playful, spontaneous waltz across the floor... And somewhere between the twirling and the laughter and the kisses ruined by smiling, there it is--“MARRY ME...” No ring, no collar, and no real plan for what you might say after, but you can figure that out together, can’t you?

Nemo (Horrorswapfell Papyrus): He pops the question as far from home as possible, out in the great big world. The specific location isn’t important to him, it could be anywhere as long as it’s beautiful and new to him and he’s all the way out there with you. He may not have intended to come on vacation just to do this, so he’s definitely not prepared, but it reminds him how far he’s come and how he never could’ve predicted he’d end up here, with all this, and that inspires him; giving him the confidence to propose without hesitation. He’ll take your hand in his, look you in the eye, and just ask: “will you marry me?” He just...knows that it’s something that he wants and he hopes that you feel the same way.

Sunny (Gastertale Sans): Guaranteed to be a spur of the moment thing, completely off-the-cuff. After you’ve been together awhile, after it’s clear that you two are a Serious Thing and probably in it for the long haul, it could happen pretty much anytime, anywhere... but probably on some adventure you’re on, whether that’s an aimless drive to nowhere, a ‘hey I’ve never done that before, let’s do it’ outing, or even just hitting up a convenience store for snacks in the middle of the night. You’ll just be laughing, having a good time together, living in the moment, and he’ll catch your eye and… “hey. let’s get married!” Spontaneous, but not thoughtless-- if he says it, he means it completely, so there’s no need to worry about him taking it back. He’s just too excited about the idea to not tell you about it immediately, as soon as it pops into his head. Still, he won’t be offended if you doubt the offer at first, and he’d be very happy to talk it out with you--where it came from, how he feels about you, why he wants it-- until you believe him and can maybe start thinking about an answer to give him. Take your time, he can wait, as long as it’s with you!

Aster (Gastertale Papyrus): His is very much the Traditional Romantic Proposal-- a meaningful location for the both of you (where you met, first date, first said ‘I love you’, take your pick) where you can recreate that lovely evening with each other’s company and your fond nostalgia. You’ll probably have the sense that it’s coming long before he ever actually asks, but he won’t be hurried along for anything. You’re making memories here and everything in its own time! The biggest difference from his and the Traditional Romantic Proposal is that when it is finally time to pop the question, he won’t go down on one knee. He won’t do anything that might draw unnecessary attention to himself and to you, and won’t involve anyone else in this—no friends and family, no helpful waiters hiding rings, no spectators gawking at you in passing. This moment isn’t for sharing, it belongs to just the two of you: no pressure, no judgment, and no expectations, just a very simple, earnest question, asked with your hand in his. Before you’ve decided, he wants you to be comfortable enough to choose wholly without influence... and if your answer to the question is something to be celebrated, if your choice is him... Well, he’s happy to share that with anyone and everyone you please.

They are really indecisive on making plans, specifically vacations. Not all of the time but mostly its Like they need to know all the A, B, C - Z options before picking something. And they do end up choosing, closer to last minute, but am I wrong for feeling frustrated? I think we obviously approach things different ways. When I see an opportunity and a good price for a trip for example I take it. I’m def the more impulsive one haha. But I wait on their input and then it doesn’t get done until later. Regarding your message, I think only you can decide if something is a deal breaker or not. However, how you do anything is how you do everything. You might let these small issues slide, they might trigger you, but there probably could be another underlined issue going on.

I also believe; that if you know your partners weaknesses, you should strive to make them your strengths and stop expecting him to be someone he’s not. If you know he’s absolutely terrible at doing something, then you should take on the responsibility. Only you know what you can and can’t accept from a partner long term base on what he’s showing you now.

The difference here lies in the fact that I’m assuming you wish he did those things and not you? That’s what I’m getting here. So ask yourself if the underlined issue is his character overall, or are you just nitpicking? Relationships are partnerships . There’s a balance. Or there should be.
