U.S. efforts to entice Israel into minimizing its attack on Iran are only raising the chances for regional war
The Biden administration is showering Israel with military aid and support to persuade it not to hit Iran’s energy sector, but this will only increase Israeli impunity and push the region closer to war. Read more at Mondoweiss.

[ 📹 Scenes from massive destruction wrought on the Palestine Stadium, west of Gaza City after the Israeli occupation army bombed the site.]
🇺🇸🇮🇱 🚨
UNITED STATES APPROVES BILLIONS IN MUNITIONS AND WARPLANES FOR "ISRAEL" TO CONTINUE GENOCIDE IN GAZA
The United States today approved the equivalent of $2.5 billion in military aid to the Israeli entity, a package that includes ammunition, artillery shells, massive bunker-busting bombs and more warplanes.
Even as the Biden administration claimed recently that it wants to see an end to the occupation's genocide campaign in Gaza, it sent an entirely different message in the munitions approved today.
Included in the package are 1'800 MK84 2'000lb (907kg) general purpose bombs, known to inflict casualties at distances up to 300 meters (1'000ft), along with 500 MK82 low-drag general purpose 500lb (227kg) bombs.
Once again, instead of repairing the country's own failing infrastructure, such as the collapsed Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore which fell after being hit by ship recently, the United States, led by the Biden White House chooses to send ammunition, bombs and warplanes to help the Zionist occupying power genocide the civilian population of the Gaza Strip.
Instead finding some healthy ways of dealing with American city decay, rampant crime, addiction, or the fix the broken education and healthcare systems, the United States chooses to spend billions arming the genocidal war of a foreign occupying power.
Instead of fixing the United States's out-of-control spending, creating upwards of $1 Trillion in new debt every 100 days, this White House spends billions in military and financial aid to fund imperialist wars in Gaza, fund civil wars to bleed Russia through Ukraine, bombing in Yemen and defending Israeli commerce in the Red Sea. Then there's the Military excercises around the Korean peninsula, patrolling the South China Sea, all while Israel bombs, using American weaponry, Lebanon and Syria, or arranged terrorist attacks in Iran. According to the Iranian authorities, last year's terrorist attack in Kerman was arranged by "Israel".
The United States and Israel are two rapid dogs, running amok through the world's neighborhood, randomly killing people and the entire neighborhood is doing it's best to protest, but to no avail.
But unfortunately, you can't just vigorously protest a rabid animal into calmly sitting in the corner and harming no one.
The current death toll in "Israel's" war of genocide in the Gaza Strip now exceeds 32'705 Palestinian killed, while another 75'190 others have been wounded since the start of the current round of Zionist aggression beginning on October 7th, 2023.

Hello, 👋
I hope you're well.
I humbly ask for your support by reblogging this post on your account to help save my family. As newcomers to Tumblr and GoFundMe, we are in desperate need of your kindness and support. 🙏❤️
My previous account was deleted, and now I'm reaching out, seeking your help to share my new account. Our sole hope is that your generosity can help my family endure this merciless war. 🙏🌹
Thank you sincerely. 🌹
https://gofund.me/e089ccce
Hello @m8hammed , I will do my best to share your campaign 💚 I have shared your pinned post, and I encourage my friends to take a look at your pictures and learn your story. And consider that a high number of notes isn't always a good thing for the tangible goal! Much like how a campaign will stagnate right before its goal, it's as if people see a large number of notes and assume everyone else is helping.
The only way to be sure someone helps is by helping :)
So please be a helpful compassionate soul and follow my friend @m8hammed and learn the names and dreams and hardships of his family.
Move forward in the world with good intention and care and you are always on the right path🙏
I am sorry this world is cruel and stupid. I am sorry you must implore petulant strangers on a cheap web site for relief. Many citizens of the empirical core believe themselves to be benevolent, good people yet have a wicked greedy little heart that only has love for themselves. These are people who complain about the price of gas to a person with a photo of their bombed, burnt car on their wall, man! PLEASE😭
Please feel free to send an ask, I may not always answer them all, but I do try to reblog a post from you when I see them! God be with your family and bless your health and see your goals met with perfect speed my friend🙏🫂💐💝❤️🖤🤍💚

AN OPEN LETTER to THE PRESIDENT & U.S. CONGRESS
Enforce Leahy! No funding to IDF troops who’ve committed human rights abuses!
354 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!
I’ve just learned from Pro Publica that “a special State Department panel recommended months ago that Secretary of State Blinken disqualify multiple Israeli military and police units from receiving U.S. aid after reviewing allegations that they committed serious human rights abuses.” But Blinken has failed to act on the proposal. This in the face of growing international criticism of the Israeli military’s conduct in Gaza.
I’m livid about this. We cannot keep sending unconditional military aid to anyone, regardless of whom, if they are committing human rights abuses. We have Leahy laws to prevent it, and they are not being enforced here. It’s unacceptable.
The U.S. government needs to stop giving the Israeli government a blank check. Israel has a right to defend itself, of course, but the abuses described in Pro Publica’s report can’t be defined as self defense under anyone’s definition of the term. They’re abhorrent and our tax dollars mustn’t be spent on them. Thanks.

Biden warns US military aid to Israel could be cut if aid doesn't reach Gaza.
Looks like Biden has finally had enough of trying to be diplomatic with Netanyahu, and being sabotaged in return.
Just as long as the Iron Dome isn't compromised (and I don't think Biden would- he singled that out as a red line before). That's a defensive system, there's literally no reason to sabotage it unless you want more dead Israelis (including civilians), and/or more escalation.

Hey, while its very important to be echoing the opinions of Palestinians, and putting their needs at the forefront of your actions/ activism, its also key to remember, that like any identity group, you will find people act and say things that conflict with the majority opinion, potentially in ways that seem aligned with the opinions of the oppressor.
There's a lot of reasons people in general do this. Maybe they want to (attempt to) attain the privilege of the oppressor, maybe there is another societal factor as to why they might be inclined to do that (ie there will be strong personal/political consequences for a more radical opinion or just rich), maybe they work in a field which is particularly invested in maintaining the hierarchies of power and oppression (ie police, military). I'm not going to tell you that these people's opinions/ experiences should be invalidated entirely, but that you should ask yourself who benefits from the legitimacy provided by having say, a Palestinian as a spokesperson about something, and asking yourself why they seem to be in conflict with the majority opinion, especially if that opinion isn't really being represented by the org using the spokesperson.

not to sound like an asshole bc honestly fuck both of em but. trump wouldn’t’ve supported sending war efforts to Israel. considering he wouldn’t’ve for MUCH different reasons that we would like. but he still wouldn’t’ve. willing to learn tbh bc I don’t want to be ignorant but also just. there’s obviously agendas and corruption on BOTH sides of the poles?? wouldn’t it be best to fuck both of em. just toss out the whole system. fight for a remodeling instead of sticking with the old brick n mortar just hoping it works out this time when we know it won’t. anyways. hi op. hope you’re well. sorry for coming into ur askbox with dumb political inquires 🙏
hi anon yes i completely agree it would be best to do away with the whole system but thats not going to happen by 2024 so people still need to vote for biden unfortunately

For those in the US, here’s a pre-written letter as provided by EveryAction that you can send to your representatives. I highly recommend that you do not send the letter as-is, first because sometimes form messages are filtered out, and second because IMO it does not use strong enough language to express the atrocities occurring in Gaza right now (10.27.23). However, it’s still a useful service to automatically send a message to your representatives in Congress. Please do not stay silent about Palestine

[ID 1: a tweet by Dan Lamothe (@DanLamothe) that says, “SCOOP from @John Hudson: ‘The United States has quietly approved and delivered more than 100 separate foreign military sales to Israel since the Gaza war began Oct. 7, ... U.S. officials told members of Congress in a recent classified briefing.’ The tweet links to a Washington post article titled, “U.S. floods arms into Israel despite mounting alarm over war's conduct.”
The subsequent tweet, also by Dan Lamothe, says, “All but a couple of weapons transfers were processed without any public debate ‘because each fell under a specific dollar amount that requires the executive branch to individually notify Congress, according to U.S. officials and lawmakers.’”
ID 2: a tweet by Yousef Munayyer (Yousef Munayyer) dated March 6, 2024 that says, “Looks like the Biden Administration is deliberately altering the way they transfer weapons to Israel precisely to evade public scrutiny for doing so. This is scandalous.”
ID 3: a graph titled, “US military aid to Israel.” The subheading says, “The US has sent Israel more than $120b in military aid since 1960.” The x axis is years from 1960 to 2023, and the y axis is dollars from 0 to 4.5 billion. The 1973 October War, 2008 assault on Gaza, the 2012 assault on Gaza, and the 2014 assault on Gaza are labeled.
The military aid to Israel is almost nothing in the early sixties, a little money in the late sixties, and then it steadily increases with some spikes. 1971 is the first year it surpasses 500 million dollars. In 1974, it spikes to nearly 2.5 billion, and in 1976, it spikes to 1.5 billion. 1977 is the last year it is below 1 billion dollars per year, at around $250 million. It spikes from $1 billion to $4 billion in 1980.
All through the eighties and nineties, it is between $1.5 and 2 billion. In 2000 and 2003, it spikes to around $3 billion, but is between $2 and around 2.6 billion for the rest of the two thousands. In 2010, it was about $3 billion, in 2011, it increased to $3.5 billion, and by 2014, it increased to around $3.8 billion. In 2022 it spikes to well over $4.5 billion, and in 2023, it was $3.8 billion.
Below the graph, it says, “Source: Congressional Research Service | Jewish Virtual Library (2023),” “@AJLabs,” and the Al Jazeera Logo.]
