In Baltimore County, MD: DORIAN ONLY HAS TODAY!! A rescue MUST tag him by the end of the day!

📣 Dorian lived in a foster home for 3 weeks and was adored by his foster parents. He is a very affectionate guy who wants nothing more than to hang with his people, go on some leisurely walks, play fetch with 2 tennis balls for a bit in the yard, and chew on some stuffies or bones. 🐾 He is low to medium energy and appreciates cuddle time on the couch! 😀 Dorian is housebroken and walks beautifully on leash; he is socially appropriate passing by other dogs in the neighborhood. He also is easy going riding in the car and enjoys having the windows down a bit so he can do some sniffing! He prefers not to be crated and can be trusted in a contained area with his bed, a couch, and his toys and chew bones. He was left up to six hours for a work day with no issue. He slept overnight alone for up to eight hours with no issue. ❤️ He may prefer a quieter household with older kids and a lower energy puppy sibling. He just needs to be given a chance and provided patience and a chance to decompress in a home and to build trust.

Baltimore County Animal Services is urgently seeking rescue placement for Goliath. Goliath arrived to us as a scared stray. After some time here, Goliath warmed up and has shown social behavior with people and is very interested in making friends with other dogs. Unfortunately, Goliath seems to have an injury to his left hind leg making him only available to a 501c3 rescue group. If you are interested in pulling Goliath, or have any questions, please let us know!

Breed: Mastiff mix

Reason for Rescue: Medical Transfer

Health Concerns: Goliath demonstrated a toe-touching lameness of his left hind leg. No obvious fractures or dislocations have been palpated. He has been given pain medication and is on strict cage rest for the next 7 days. If no improvement, or the lameness worsens, radiographs may be necessary to diagnose the cause. One suspected condition is a cranial cruciate ligament tear or strain (similar to an ACL injury in people). Please follow up with your primary veterinarian for further diagnostic and treatment recommendations. An orthopedic specialist may need to be consulted if there is cruciate ligament damage. This poor dog... he was sent to the pound after his owner died... Nothing was ever said to us about his 'behind' issues. This boy cant even sit on his 'bum' so very sad. We are asking for donations for his vet work - he is the happiest dog, yet humans let him get to this state... so unfair. We dont know the costs as yet but with desex and his 'bum’ issue we will be looking at least $1500. Can you help PLEASE even the smallest amount helps, but if you cant help please share this story, the condition this boy was left in the pound is NOT ok.
