updates as of 22 oct
Travis Dermott knew that he would draw attention with his actions in the Coyotesâ home opener against the Anaheim Ducks at Mullett Arena on Saturday. The Arizona defenseman just hoped that the spotlight might shine on the issue that he was addressing, not on him.
âYou donât really want to go against rules that are put in place by your employer, but thereâs some people who took some positive things from it,â Dermott said. âThatâs kind of what Iâm looking to impact.
âYou want to have everyone feel included and thatâs something that I have felt passionate about for a long time in my career. Itâs not like I just just jumped on this train. Itâs something that Iâve felt has been lacking in the hockey community for a while. I feel like we need supporters of a movement like this; to have everyone feel included and really to beat home the idea that hockey is for everyone.â
âI wonât lie,â said Dermott, who is playing on a one-year, two-way contract. âFrom the outside, itâs easy to see that Iâm putting my career on the line for something. I definitely went through some emotional ups and downs that night, not regretting anything by any means, but Iâd love to have maybe done a couple of steps a little different by making sure that everyone was aware of what was going on before I did it.
âI donât want to put my teammates or my coaches or my GMs or the equipment managers in any kind of bad light when itâs their job to kind of look out for something like this happening. It was definitely something that I did just by myself and was prepared to kind of deal with whatever repercussions the league decides to push towards that. Iâm not going to back off and say that this battle is won, but weâre going to find better ways to do it.â
As Dermott noted, LGBTQ+ inclusion is an issue that he has supported for a long time. Without getting into specifics, Dermott said the issue is personal for him because it impacts people close to him.
âIâd be lying if I said I havenât shed tears about this on multiple occasions,â he said. âSo yeah, itâs something Iâm definitely very passionate about.
âIâve met a lot of people that from the outside, it looks like they have everything going right in their life and they have a smile on their face every time they talk to you. But sometimes when we get closer to people and get comfortable enough for them to open up to you, you can see that thereâs some pretty dark stuff happening to some good people. It doesnât take too many times encountering something like that for it to really change someone.
âIâve been blessed to have some of those opportunities put in front of me to really change my view of what being a good person means; what being a good father and a good example and role model means going forward. You really see how people are hurting and itâs because of a system that maybe no oneâs intentionally trying to be malicious about, but until youâve really had that first-person experience seeing people hurting from it right in front of you, itâs tough to kind of take steps.â
It would be a surprise if the league handed down any sort of punishment. The optics alone would add to the public relations damage that the original ban created. Even so, Dermott reiterated his desire to bring the entire franchise into the fold before he takes similar actions in the future, but he also made it clear that he will not be silenced on the topic.
âItâs not like Iâm shutting up and going away,â he said. âI know more questions are going to be coming. Weâre just going to be as prepared as we can be to just spread love. Thatâs the thing. Itâs gay pride that weâre talking about, but it could be menâs health. It could be any war. Itâs just wanting world peace. Everyoneâs got to love each other a little bit more.
âLike my parents said growing up, âHow awesome would it be to be the guy that people look up to?â Thatâs what really hit home when I was a kid, especially from my mom. You want to grow up and be that guy. You want to be the guy thatâs having the impact on kids like NHL players had on you. If they had been racist or bigoted, thatâs going to have an effect on you.
âWith how many eyes are on us, especially with the young kids coming up in the new generation, you want to put as much positive love into their brain as you can. You want them to see that itâs not just being taught or coming from maybe their parents at home. They need to see it in the public eye for it to really make an effect.â

"mithrun is the only real monsterfucker in dungeon meshi" is objectively the funniest bit you can get out of his everything, but in all seriousness i think his attraction to his love interest is deliberately overstatedâand that makes sense, because romantic jealousy is a classic and digestible motive, which is explicitly what kabru was aiming for in condensing mithrun's backstory, and also because until chapter 94, mithrun wasn't willing to admit to the true nature of his desires.
but because romantic envy is both classic and digestible, it probably isnât a unique enough or complicated enough desire to tempt a demonâs appetite. mithrunâs wish, as far as we can figure from kabruâs reduced retelling, was to have a life in which he had never become one of the canaries, and that carries like 3857 implications and desires within it. thatâs delicious. his love interest acts as sort of a red herring to his motivation for making it, though. (side note: i'm saying "love interest" here because, keeping in mind that i barely speak japanese on a good day anymore, "æłăäșș" is something i'd usually take as just kind of an old-fashioned and romantic way to refer to a lover, but in context i wonder if both the connotation of yearning and the vagueness are intentional, and i think this phrasing gets those aspects of it more effectively. anyway.)
mithrun considered his love interest to be untrustworthy. there was a minute where i thought that comment might be about a similar-looking elf (yugin, one of his squad members), but comparing the twoâŠ
the "sketchy" arrow is definitely referring to the elf we know as his love interestâthe bangs go toward her right, she only has the one forehead ornament, and, most notably, her ears aren't notched.
every time sheâs given a full-body depiction in his dungeon, sheâs drawn as a chimera, with the body of a snake from the waist down. (side note: the âwhat if a dungeon has chimeras before reaching level 4?â/âthen the dungeon lord is unstableâ exchange just being mithrun grilling his past self alive is so funny. heâs so. but anyway) there are a couple things about this.
first, the snake part of the chimera appears to be modeled after some species of coral snake mimic
which, in the biology-for-fun manga, i⊠doubt is a coincidence, especially with the added context of the âuntrustworthyâ comment. the dungeonâs conjured illusion of mithrunâs love interest was a harmless copycat of a venomous original. for whatever reason, he felt this person was a threat and made up a "safe" version of her to be in a relationship with, and while itâs definitely possible to be attracted to or even love someone you find to be toxic and/or intimidating, when you take that into consideration alongside the configuration of her body, you get some interesting implications.
which brings us to our second point: if we assume that mithrun was not in fact fucking a snake, then sexual attraction, at least, was so far removed from his idea of a relationship with this person that he did not even bother to keep her dungeon copy human enough to maintain the illusion of the option of a sexual relationship. this is somewhat echoed in the depictions of their interactions, which also imply a frankly unexpected romantic distance. she kisses his cheek and he doesn't seem to react; she's at the edge of a narrow bed with only one set of pillows, on top of his blankets while he's underneath them.
the kiss is particularly interesting because it seems to contrast the text. kabru's narration tells us this was everything mithrun could have asked for, but mithrun is there looking unreadable to pensive, likely because this is right before the panel that makes it clear things in the dungeon are beginning to go wrong.
walking through this backwards for a minute, we have the physical barrier of his bedding and the spatial separation inherent in a bed made for one person, the emotional barrier of his mounting anxiety getting in the way of his ability to enjoy the affection he sought, and... the snake, which historically carries the connotation of temptation, yes, but also mistrust, barring physical intimacy. okay. ok. if a dungeon reflects the mentality of its lord, all of this might suggest that mithrun was not able to have any real desire for a relationship with this person. his unwillingness to be vulnerable or let another person in was insurmountable. but in that case, why was she such a focal point that she remained to the end, after his dungeon had stopped creating iterations of his friends to come and visit him? why would he get so upset over her meeting with his brother that he became lord of a dungeon about it?
well. mithrun's brother was also interested in her, probably genuinely. and mithrun had to win.
you have an older brother who your parents completely ignore, probably in part because he is chronically ill/disabled and almost definitely in part because he received a ton of recessive traits that resulted in rumors that he was an illegitimate child. you are aware, most likely because those same parents fucking told you, that you actually are an illegitimate child. but they keep you around because you had the good fortune of looking just like your mother. what can that possibly teach you but that you, like your brother, are disposable?
it's utterly unsurprising that mithrun, under these circumstances, developed a pathological need to be better than everyone around him. people don't keep you otherwise. i'd argue this is also why he says he looked down on everyone he knew while milsiril claims his dungeon reeked of feelings of inferiorityâhe sought out people's worst traits and prioritized them in his mind to protect his already extremely fragile sense of self-worth, and all the while he tried to be as likable and high-performing as he possibly could be. his parents disposed of him anyway, but even then he tried to keep up the performance. he was kind to everyone. he never once lost to a dungeon.
when he saw his "love interest" meeting up with his brother, what he saw was himself being replaced by a person his parents had always treated as worthless, and if that was what they thought of the child they'd kept, what value could anyone possibly see in the bastard they'd given away to die? mithrun and kabru tell the story like he wanted to win this unnamed elf's heart, but it was never about being with her. it was about cementing his worth, proving that he didn't deserve to be thrown away.
and so it's particularly cruel that his demon discarded him, too. but maybe it's also particularly gentle that, in the end, there was someone who refused to even consider giving up on him.
kui laid it out in three panels better than i could hope to.
yeah. it's love. you wanted to be loved, even when the only way you were able to understand it was through the desire to be wanted, and you wanted that so badly that the idea of being consumed felt like the promise of finally mattering to someone.
#dungeon meshi spoilers#mithrun#dungeon meshi#this has been rotating for a while but i wanted to check my evidence before getting into it thanks user angelspenance for posting that meme#half of this is just the text and the other half i'm sure has been said before but it's making my brain [radio static] so here this is#someone did for sure mention this but i do find it very cute that in his fucked up conjured world meant to portray his ideal reality#his teammates came to visit him. like part of the fantasy was then explicitly that they cared about him and were his friends. even though#he says he tried to see the worst in them.#hm it does feel important to note that i do also believe 100% in mithrun suicidality--his desire to be eaten does seem to focus a lot on#wanting it to be Over. wanting not to be left incomplete and empty anymore.#but that loops back around a bit to the hole in your heart that appears when you feel unloved. it's many things and the same thing at once#snakes#long post#severe problems#meshy

Pokémon Stadium Series
Nintendo 64 - Nintendo - 2000 to 2001
You as a Pokémon fan are absolutely fucking spoiled these days. Aside from the mainline games you have spinoffs and fangames offering different experiences, you have entire websites dedicated to documenting everything down to the internal maths of the series, there's no end to the free content you can access with an internet connection between emulators and battle sites like 'Showdown!', and it's now socially acceptable in most circles to be older than 13 and have something with Pikachu's face plastered on it (especially if you're female presenting, especially if your friend group is also infected with the Pokémon hype). Back in my day⹠you had almost none of this. You had the anime on Saturday mornings, you had the early run Pokémon licensed merch which WOULD get you called a baby if you continued buying past 10-12, and you had the games. Those sweet, sweet games that indoctrinated a generation of young people into being gamers and awoke a horde of JRPG addicts.
Literally Me
So remember this when I tell you that Pokémon Stadium, both one and two, aren't great games because they do something back then that you can't get today; they're great for what they did back then. So Pokemon Stadium 1&2 were a duology of games from 2000 and 2001 respectively that allowed players to battle Pokemon in 3D, with the addition of some side content such as minigames included to prevent the game from being 100% Pokemon battles. Because otherwise, the game is in fact navigating a series of menus and completing Pokémon battles with 3D models.
Whether it's taking on the gym gauntlets, the marathon of battles in the Pokémon cups, or just free battles with friends and loved ones, 98% of the experience is either selecting Pokémon from a roster of pre-built 'rentals' or transferring them from a saved game using the Transfer Pak, then fighting them in a series of 3D environments. An experience which you can definitely do today using web apps but as I said earlier, we didn't have that.
The peak of Pokémon battles in 2000
So if you're buying Pokémon Stadium (either version really) you're already probably a Pokémon fan right? So that means you have Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal, so why not just play that game and get the full experience? The fun of exploring, talking to NPCs, discovering new and exotic locations? Simple, because in those games battles looked like this
While in Stadium, battles looked like this
If you grew up watching the anime while playing the Gameboy games, there was this special kind of dissonance where you might find yourself saying "Yeah, (for the time) these graphics are RADICAL but I wish I had something closer to these cool Pokémon Battles they had in the anime." As you hide under the covers with your Gameboy Color worm light, nestled in your Ash Ketchum pajamas while you attempt for the 100th time to capture a ditto. Pokémon Stadium was the answer to this dissonance, providing you with vibrant 3D graphics unlike anything you'd ever seen before; bringing Pokémon to life in a way that would be unmatched until Colosseum came out during the Gamecube era.
So, to actual mechanics, you play both games pretty similarly; by building a team of Pokémon (either on your handheld or by using the rental mons the game provides) and take part in a series of battles to become the ultimate battle master. To use your own Pokémon, you'd need to use the aforementioned 'Transfer Pak' to plug in a copy of Red/Blue/Yellow (for 1) or Gold/Silver/Crystal (for 2) with a game saved to the cartridge; otherwise the rental Pokémon covered all released Pokémon (except for some hidden ones) allowing you to build your dream team, sans a few caveats here and there.
Evolved Pokémon have better stats but worse moves, while weaker Pokémon tend to have better moves to compensate
In terms of WHERE you can battle, there's two choices: Either in the Gym Leader Castle, or the Tournaments held in the center of the map on either game. Either way, the game will then have you battle through a series of 3v3 matches versus a set number of trainers who will also select 3 random mons from their full team of six.
A bit bare bones, but there's some spice to how things are run. For one, the rental system was a huge thing for us younger players back in the day. Even if you had the games some Pokémon were hard to catch, had evolution requirements some players couldn't complete (like the trade-mons), or were locked to a version you didn't have. The rental mons give you a list of every Pokémon (some exceptions, but not many) and then lets you build your dream team. Sure, you can't set their moves, EVs, IVs, and it's the era before abilities and natures but I CAN HAVE A MEOWTH/PERSIAN ON MY TEAM. Do you know what I had to do as a child to have this Pokémon outside of Stadium? I had to find someone in the American South who also enjoyed Pokémon, hoped they had Blue instead of Red, hoped they had a link cable, then get them to agree to a trade despite both of us being children (and therefore, objectively terrible) which likely meant giving away a rare Pokémon in exchange for what amounted to common garbage in their game because it was Version fucking Exclusivity⹠and everyone seemed to know that meant you'd do anything to get that one fucking Pokémon you wanted.
In the handheld games, if you wanted to build your dream team then likely you'd have to put in some more effort than other games of the time would've required of you. With Stadium, your dreams come true, and if you already have that dream team you can just import them to fight in glorious 3D. Circumventing the fact that rental Pokémon are kinda terrible overall.
Don't feel like building? The challenge cup mode that gives you randomized team comps that has it's own charm (for masochists)
Not to say all of them were bad but construct a normal distribution of 'Good' to 'Bad' picks then that graph is gonna skew left so hard you'd be forgiven for thinking it was just a straight line. To keep every choice 'viable' Pokémon rentals were balanced around stats and moves. More powerful evolved Pokémon and Pokémon with high Base Stat Totals (BST) were given weaker moves and first form and low BST Pokémon were given generally better moves. Charizard might have better stats than Charmeleon and Charmander but his only fire type move is going to be something like Fire Spin. Conversely, Charmander might have Fire Blast but his stats are gonna make him an easy target for the computer's pokemon, which are not bound to the same builds as the rental mons you're using.
Once your team is assembled, then you're off to battle trainer after trainer after trainer with beautifully scored (for the Nintendo 64) soundtracks giving you an unearned sense of importance every step of the way. Battles themselves are conducted with a weird, but functional control layout where A and B access sub menus you then check with the R button before finalizing with the c-buttons, which on original hardware or a USB N64 controller is fine but on emulation with a more modern controller like Logitech, can be a little nerve wracking as you worry about whether your 'up' input on the control stick was up enough for the game or if you accidentally drifted right or left using an unintended move.
fun fact: the name of imported Pokémon affects their coloration in Stadium
Battles are also largely regulated by (at the time) tournament standard rules. Little and Pokecup have level restrictions, and all three non-random cups include clauses for sleep, held items, and repeat Pokémon. Additionally, in any cup if you win the round with all 3 Pokémon still in tact, you're granted a continue; meaning you can retry the battle if you lose. Additionally, there is no 'draw' outcome in these games. Use a move like Explosion or Selfdestruct and the game will register it as your loss on your final Pokémon, regardless of whether you took down the opposing fighter with you or not.
You'll be doing a LOT of back-to-back fights here against trainers with varied team comps, but even with over 246 Pokémon in the available potential lineup you'll get tired fast of fighting. This is, however, slightly mitigated by the 3v3 nature of the matches but even so be ready to here the same Pokémon noises, watch the same effects play out, and wait for the same health bars to tick down over and over as you claw your way to the spot of Pokémon Master.
The art style of non-battle scenes like the main map and minigame plaza have that nice, 90's charm to them as well.
If you do get tired of battling it out, then Stadium 1 and 2 both offer minigames for players to partake in. Either in a tournament format or by using the free-play browser, players are able to take part in a multitude of different Mario Party-esque (without the hand burning) minigames featuring the Pokémon as stars. Minigames consist of stick twirling, button mashing, and point collecting all while controlling fan favorite Pokémon such as Togepi, Eevee, Scyther, and Pichu with no real rhyme or reason behind why these game exist aside from a amusement park theming the minigame zones have for their icons and menus.
You won't get a real explanation as to why you're racing Donphans, cutting logs as Scythers and Pinsirs, or playing Simon Says with a bunch of Clefairy, but you don't really need that either. The games are fun, the models are charming, and watching Clefairy get smacked in the head for each wrong input brings me a level of joy I should probably talk about with my therapist. You won't likely spend hours in this mode, but it's a nice breather from the onslaught of battles otherwise.
fun fact: I still won't talk to some people because of the outcomes to Rampage Rollout over two decades ago. You know who you are.
Additionally there's a quiz minigame separate from the main selection of minigames with easy/normal/hard difficulty selections. Players compete to see who can be the first to get a number of questions correct before anyone else based on facts about the Pokémon (typing, size, silhouette, etc) or facts about the game (where you can find things in the game, names of routes and towns, names of figures in the game).
It's not the most challenging on easy or normal, but playing on hard the game will try to screw you with trick questions so playing with others becomes a balance of "do I let the question play out, or attempt to steal it before someone else can answer correctly?"
Sometimes even playing the game won't prepare you for how out of pocket the questions can get
The real advantage of 2 over 1 is that, in addition to minigames, the game has the trainer academy; a kind of in-depth battle tutorial to teach players not only the basics of Pokémon fighting, but also some secrets as well
You can learn about held items, a feature new to the second generation, as well as participate in mock battles to demonstrate the materials you've been reading and quizzed on. Some of this information for the time too was obscure or hidden knowledge, like the fact that using Defense Curl before using Rollout would boost the damage significantly or that using Stomp on an opponent who used minimize would double the damage.
Some type matchups just make sense, like Ground v Electric.
Overall though what really makes this game is the presentation. The soundtrack does a great job selling the feeling Nintendo wants you to experience, climbing the ladder in a tournament or the Gym Leaders Castle makes you feel powerful, and the little details on top of it all just tie it together in a nice package.
The fights, for example, are also narrated by "The Announcer". A bombastic voice shouting over every detail of a fight. When you score a crit, when you apply a status effect, even using certain moves will get the announcer loudly narrating each detail like a Pokémon prize fight. Seeing the ground rip apart when you use Earthquake is only half the charm, the other half comes from that man yelling in your ears "A DEVESTATING EARTHQUAKE ATTACK!". Clearing gyms or clearing opponents in one of the cups grants you gym badges, a dream for any child growing up on the handheld classics or watching the anime who wished they too could earn shiny bits of metal that gave them an inflated sense of importance.
I would literally kill everyone I came across if it'd get me a real life Zephyr Badge.
Stadium 1 and 2 aren't evergreen classics. They're stuck in Gens 1 and 2 respectively, the roster of Pokémon while impressive is largely useless and makes collecting trophies way harder than it has to be, and the games were made before things like abilities and double battles were introduced, leading to the Pokémon battling game missing out on the generation of Pokémon that made battling more fun (Revolution doesn't count, Revolution is dead to me and disappoints me more than I disappoint myself.)
But for the time especially, it gave fans an opportunity to experience a form of Pokémon more advanced than what the handhelds could output. It was a window into a world of potential that wouldn't be truly fulfilled until arguably the 3DS era of Pokémon released, and gave fans a fun little romp handcrafted for them at every twist and turn. Whether you were a gamer or you enjoyed the anime, there was something here for you.
Overall: 7/10 Sound: 8/10 (for the time) Graphics: 9/10 (for the time) Memorable Moments: Stadium 1: Hearing about Mewtwo, thinking he was an urban legend, then finding out he wasn't Stadium 2: Finally beating the elite 4 using only rental mons.

+ Authors Note: Hey guys I really hope you enjoy this first chapter, I was really inspired after seeing Ashby play Alex and absolutely fell in love đ€
Chapter 0.0 | Two Time Zones Apart
The sound of LA traffic was not great, but it was definitely quieter than the sound of the streets of New York. It's only been 6 Months since I moved to LA semi-permanently. I still got homesick often but there was no place like California. Ever since the transition from being a model to a singer it was a choice I had to make, with mom and dads approval of course, even if it meant seeing Lucy and Jackie less.
"Oh Gosh. What time is it?" I grumbled as I rubbed my eyes. I looked towards my bedside table and picked up my phone. "10:30 AM" I removed the bed covers and stretched my arms over my head. The smell of my room always gave me some comfort in the mornings. I headed to the restroom and pulled my hair into a bun and turned the faucet on. I started washing my teeth when I heard my phone ringing. I ran back to my room to pick up my phone that was lying on the bed. A video call from Jackie. I quickly pick up the phone as I walk back to the bathroom.
"Juswt whun sewkand-" I attempted to say with the tooth brush still in my mouth. Jackie let out a quick laugh, "take your time Eid." I put my finger up, just one moment, and place the phone in front of the faucet handles, holding it up. I quickly rinse out the toothpaste and splashed my face with water to ensure I would fully wake myself up.
"Hi Jacks! How's it going?" I waved and picked up my phone.
"EDEN! It's going so well! I can't wait for you and Lucy to come home today! I missed you guys so much." Jackie smiled softly.
"Oh my, we haven't been away from you that longgggg" I teased as i sat down on my Vanity. I panned my phone to the stack of luggage by my window.
"Okay I know, BUT, I just missed you guys so much." She sighed. "It's been a month since I've seen you and Lucy. I'm just so excited for you to see my excellent work tonight."
"I know Jacks, My flight is at 2 so I'll probably be there by 7-ish." I start applying my makeup and look away from my phone. " and plus Lucy will be there sooner than me, so you'll get her while you wait for meeee."
She laughs, "Right, what would I do without your wisdom." She stays quiet for a couple of seconds, "How's your new song going?"
I wince, "It's going..." She looks at me confused. "I've just been lacking in inspiration lately. I'm hoping going home will help with that."
"I'm sure you'll get a spark of inspiration once you spend some good old fashioned time at the ballet with me."
"Thanks Jackie, I've missed you guys so much. I can't wait to get there tonight."
I stop to think. "Dinner at The Penrose?"
I look at her smile, "of course Eden! That's our spot."
"All right deal" I look at the time, 11:30AM, "All right sis, I have to head to the airport, see you soon!" I reach over to hang up, "wait! Remember mom and dad will pick you up later tonight so we can all go to dinner together."
"Okay, perfect! Bye Jacks, love you!"
"Bye Eids!" I hung up.
I start getting up and shutting the curtains. It might be a while until I'm back but I'd rather keep my room clean.
Ding Dong.
I head over to the front door that smells strongly of oak. Walking past the pictures I have hanging of Mom, Dad, Lucy, Jackie and I. I open the door and smile as I see the face of my amazing Manager, Lizzie. "Liz! Come to say goodbye to your favorite client." I giggled as she stepped in. "Excuse me! Not just my client, more like my favorite friend!" I hug her and drag her to my room.
"Oh gosh, look at all this baggage..." she exclaims standing in front of my suitcases. She reaches over and picks one up. "Alright Eden! Let's get moving and load these into the car, your driver is waiting."
I look over to her and smile, "You got it boss!" I salute. It was an easy load up and we wasted no time getting in the car. "Are you excited to see your family again?" Lizzie asked. "Yeah I'm a bit nervous though. I haven't seen them in a couple of months, I feel like I've missed out on a lot." It was hard being apart from them and not being able to see them as often as I used to.
Lizzie looks at me and smiles softly, her polished nails and her soft hands reach over to mine. She grabs them and turns to me. "E, you need this. You've been homesick for a while and I think this trip will help you with the new song." I lean my head back against the headrest and turn my face to look out of the window. "I know Liz." I turn back towards her. "Thank you for helping me today. It means a lot. I'll miss you lots."
She just smiles at me and I start feeling tired, car rides always seem to wear me out. I take one last look at the highway we're on and slowly close my eyes. I let sleep take over me and an oddly weird feeling at the pit of my stomach. I hear Liz whisper, "I'll wake you when we get there."

Predictions on What Might Happen in Drdt ch.3 Part 2
Continuing from part 1:
Hu: So going with Hu, I think with Levi being injured, David being revealed to be a scumbag and distrustful, and Eden probably not being able to be the best condition to help everyone, Hu will probably try taking this role as leader. To whichâŠwill immediately backfired I feel like. Mostly because Hu is as flawed and a hypocrite as everyone is. Hu has always trying to be the mother role model for the group and we seen how her efforts to be fails. Along with the fact she did let herself get too attached to Nico for whatever reason(maybe she sees her self in them thus why she projects in protecting them so much) which lead to her defending an almost murder and worsening Aceâs state to commit to his plan. She says at the end of ep16 she doesn't believe they need to blame themselves for Ace killing Arei. Which while yes, it is Aceâs fault for killing Arei and making others dislike him. But that does not mean that theyâre all innocent in this either. Her, David, Veronika, Teruko a little bit at the beginning, Nico, and Arturo with the part with Eden are responsible factors for the entire mess happening too. I think Hu will try to deflect blame off of her and focus on trying to gaining Nicoâs trust again, to which I think theyâll probably blow up on her. Why? Oh well mostly because of her constantly talking over them and trying to defend them resulting them looking worse. This I think will also leave Hu in a vulnerable state to where she might struggle in this chapter as well.
Nico: Nico will definitely struggle thanks to the consequences of their actions last chapter. With almost committing murder on Ace, this will lead to them probably being isolated by the group or the group being suspicious on their actions towards them. I mean Nico really is screwed as if another murder happens, they will immediately be a suspect. Rose will have hard time forgiving them or even to hang out with them since they made her felt used+ even themselves admitted to not trusting anyone. Hu trying to hang out with them will make them both look bad since it will be hard for anyone to trust them not being suspicious of the next murder. I think Nico will go through a rough patch next chapter due to this and have a hard time taking responsibility since they think no one will ever forgive them for it. I hope maybe Nico can be able to still apologize in the end and make up with Rose or anyone for them to have potential friends again.
Levi: Okay so Leviâs fate is undetermined right now due to whether or not Arturo can save him. Personally I believe Levi will live and go through a character arc of learning how to empathize with others and even grieve over deaths since I think Aceâs death/sacrifice will help with this. Mostly to show Levi that despite how hard it is to understand people, there are people who care about him and want him alive despite him being revealed as a murder. To which I hope Levi ends up as a survivor as I am very interested in this potential character arc for him. Although the question remains will Levi be able to participate in the class trial for ch.3 or be out of commission until ch.4 like how Nekomaru was in DR2 when he got fatally injured?
David: Alright..lets get to David. So with David definitely taking the antagonist role and knowing his goal towards the killing game. I assume he will take advantage of causing murders to happen just like in ch.2. Which while it will be harder for him to easily manipulate others since he reveal his true colors, I think with how this group is going, theyâre going to make his job easy. Also begs the question about Terukoâs secret since we know that David actually has Terukoâs secret and not Xanderâs(evidence in the second bonus episode ). Will David reveal Terukoâs actual secret, keep quiet about it until later in the story, or use it to blackmail Teruko into something since we know that secret will destroy any trust others will have towards her.
Rose: Finishing off with Rose, just like Charles, she is traumatized by Levi almost dying and Ace dying. My girl cannot catch a break huh? I think Roseâs mental state is getting worse with her memory affecting her in both forgetting and remembering the deaths clearly. Not to mention being tired all the time and Nicoâs betrayal towards her. This can lead to bad things for Rose if she cannot get good support from others like Teruko or Eden. I mostly think Rose will be involve with the possible storyline with Nico next chapter while maybe developing a stronger relationship with Teruko since she defended her in the trial.
With that out of the way of establishing where each our characters are at, lets start discussing how I think the chapter will go.
Iâve seen people in the fandom point out how Drdt seemingly follows some similarities to DR1 specifically in each chapter along with the motives. To which if true, then that would mean ch.3âs motive would be about money. Now if the trend of the motives not actually being the reason why a murder occurs continues, then it makes sense no one in the group will murder for money. The only two characters I think could actually used and need the money is Teruko and Rose. We know clearly Teruko isnât going to do that as even though it technically would help her not be homeless anymore, she already decided on living in the killing game since it provides her nesscities free of charge. Plus I think she would believe her luck would just destroy the money or anything she bought with it anyways. Now Rose on the other hand could actually use the money as a way to maybe get out of her debt to Richard Spurling since he is the only reason to get her family out of poverty. But I don't think she will murder anyways as she doesn't seem like the kind of person to plus her mental state of seeing dead bodies is so bad, I don't think sheâs capable of committing murder without it scarring her permanently.
So what will actually cause the murder? Simply put, discord in the group. No not the app or the chaotic draconequus, the huge disagreement on the groupâs part. What I mean exactly is how I think everyone will be at each other throats for having another murder committed. There definitely some in the group who either is to blame to some part of Ace killing Arei, think they are to blame for what happened when theyâre not, or are innocent in the matter. The people who caused part of the problems last chapter I think will try to deflect blame off of them and create discourse in the group about not accepting consequences of your actions. This will cause others who want them to take accountability for it to be frustrated and might cause people to isolate each other out of distrust(basically pull a Teruko). Now not everyone I believe will be like this as I think Teruko, Charles, Whit, Rose, Levi, and Eden will be out of the equation in terms of the blame game. J I think definitely with being the most outspoken on murder and morals will be the leading one in wanting others to take accountability even if she doesn't forgive the murder for killing. Hu I think will try to not take any blame for Aceâs murder, Veronika will either deny it or accept it without guilt, David dgaf heâll either admit it or say f*ck off, Nico while taking accountability for doing wrong in committing the murder, wonât apologize for it as they don't expect forgiveness towards them plus not thinking its their fault for othersâ actions(hence that secret quote) and Arturo we know definitely will try not taking accountability for his actions since he already doesn't want to acknowledge he has a part in his sisterâs death.
With that being said, there is two ways I think the daily life will go in terms of how it will lead up to the murder.
Way 1# Matchmaking~âŁïž
That's right! Whit is going to match make everyone! Truly if everyone joins together and form the ultimate polycule, everyone shall be saved!/j Okay okay for real though, I do believe Whit will actually use his match making talent, but not for shipping wise and instead to try to get everyone to be on friendly terms again. Mostly like the stress of the group might have Teruko or Charles suggest to Whit to try using his talent to help everyone. This can lead to some interesting combos and a potential pair that might end up causing the murder.
Why you may ask? Well going onto how DR1 ch.3 went. Celeste manipulated Hifumi into killing Kiyotaka before then killing him to be able to escape with the million dollars promised by Monokuma. Meaning victim B work with the killer to kill victim A and then the killer killed victim B would they were working for. Thus allowing the two victim count to happen.
Way 2# Despairful Entertainment đ
With the group in shambles and barely hanging with everyone blaming another for what has happen, this cause others to be more distant to each other. With high tensions, you think there wouldâve been more drama right? Well perhaps, but I assume everyone would think it be better to rather interact less with each other while still seeing each other. Thus less conflict and paranoia of someone trying to murk them. While leaving in the air of who is to blame for this misfortune upon them. Iâll cut to the chase here and say this route is mostly the idea for a Veronika culprit or at least victim B route. Mostly because this fits her of taking matters in her own hands just to be able to entertain herself again or in a twisted way, try getting the group back working together for one goal? Because with no one interacting with each other or willing to hang with each other, this will cause Veronika to probably panic and worry since her excitement over horror or murder is the only thing preventing her from committed that on herself.
Okay going through the two scenarios, who would be our main culprit and who would be our victims? Since we established that the culprit this chapter would have to be a girl or one of the guys to balance the gender ratio, lets go over our options.
Culprit option 1: Veronika Yep, kinda obvious she was a pick with route 2 tailoring to her. Not to mention a lot of people(including me) are thinking sheâll die in ch.3 as she does fit the vibes of a ch.3 killer. Now yes, there has been conversations before that disprove she would try to commit murder as that would prevent her from continuing the killing game to see all the thrills and kills+she might not want to die since her secret is her trying to take up her talent to prevent SH. But in this scenario, sheâs desperate and push to her limit to act. Even if scenario 2 doesn't happen, I can see this happening in scenario 1 IF Veronika gets paired with David. Why you ask? Well since Davidâs would still try to continue his goal of ending the killing game via getting everyone kill, I can see him trying to manipulate any of the others in a way they don't suspect it to get them to kill. Not to say that David gonna immediately tell Veronika to âGo kill someoneâ, but rather put the idea in her head via paranoia of what will happen if no murders happen. Which kinda would be karma in a way towards her because she used scare tactics to scare Ace into good behavior when it just increase his paranoia and desire to kill to save himself. David using a scare tactic or something to increase Veronikaâs paranoia of what will happen to her if she doesn't act sounds perfect to me. Plus even though this isnât really a thing to have to be required to fit the parallels to DR1âs ch.3, the ch.3 culprit of that game was very obivious and since we all think sheâs gonna be the culprit, yeah it fits the bill. But unlike Celeste, I think Veronika would be able to create a way more complicated murder that makes it hard to pin it on her since she has a lot of knowledge on murders thanks to her horror talent.
Culprit option 2: Hu Sorry Hu nation for accusing your girl again, but to be fairâŠ.she would make sense to be a culprit this chapter. NOW HEAR ME OUT! Hear me out, this is in no way saying Hu will be the killer because of Hu hate. Despite me being mad and disliking Hu at the moment, I do like her character in being a flawed individual whoâs trying to change from the past. Though we know despite Hu trying to change from the âhopelessâ girl she was in the past, sheâll been struggling with that in trying to be the mother/supportive figure role. Knowing how Hu is going to face consequences of keep trying to defend Nico from last chapter will cause others to either not trust her word anymore or be upset at her trying to know what to do to help the group without letting them decide since she is known for kinda talking over others(mostly Nico). Not to mention our poor girl will probably be struggling trying to take the leader role that David had now that heâs no longer fulfilling that and the support role since I think Eden will be in a bad state of mind to be unable to fulfill that role too. With all that pressure and this group looking down hill, I can see her survival instincts kicking in and telling her âYou must escapeâ. Now that would kinda be too similar to Aceâs motive of âI don't want to dieâ, which is why back then I thought she was the ch.2 killer as before I figured she would kill Arei to be able to live and change. But perhaps this time the motive while also being to live, Hu probably would commit murder to avoid having to pay for what she has done. Specifically her secret quote is what makes me feel like she could be a culprit whether this chapter or the next. Hu: I want to pay for what Iâve done. But even then, I still want to live. Hu feeling responsible for what happened last chapter whether its either to cause Ace to commit murder, defending Nico despite them being in the wrong, or to talk over others like Nico and projecting what she think theyâre feeling(when its actually her), I can think it would be some something hard for her to accept. Hu needs to feel important as while we don't know much of her backstory yet, Hu seems to need to be this role as perhaps it's what only keeping her going to prevent her from going back to her old self. This could definitely work in scenario 2 even if I tailored that route to be more of Veronika route as with the group in shambles, Hu canât be the role figure to help them. To save them, to save herself.
Culprit option 3: Arturo Arturo is as of right now actually kinda hard for me to see as a ch.3 killer as much he might fit the vibes, I feel like the end of ch.2 is actually setting up some character development and spotlight for him that doesn't seem like its leading to him committing murder? But let's go over the hypothetical anyways in both scenarios. So if scenario 1 happens, whether he gets paired with David who manipulate him or someone else, I can see the activity just not working regardless and tensions are still high. We know that Arturo will definitely get some blame into Arei and Aceâs deaths as while he may didn't increase Aceâs paranoia to kill, he did threaten Eden. To which if he never did that, then Arei wouldnât have died from Ace over hearing their conversation. Now yes while it can be argued since they brought it up that Ace mightâve was just trying to kill Eden regardless since she is the easiest to kill, Arturo just gave Ace an a opportunity to get him possibly Scot free with killing either of them and blaming the other. We know that Arturo struggles and feels like he canât save any lives not just because heâs specifically a plastic surgeon, but because he feels responsible for not being there for his sister when she killed herself because of him leaving. So I can see the killer route for him in a way to not feel responsible for indirectly
causing Arei and Ace to die. Along with if the scenario of Levi not making it, that would increase his mental state to be worse in blaming himself or others in failing to save people.
With the main options out of the way, Iâll go ahead and give a mini explaination why I don't think anyone else could be the culprit for this chapter before I get onto the victim options.
Teruko and J: Obviously not going to commit murder(unless self defense probably) because against murder. Plus no ill will strong enough against anyone to push them to kill. Eden: In mourning rn and has no grudges against anyone to kill them. Also probably similar reasons to Teruko and J. Charles: Literally cannot commit murder unless the method allows him to be far away when he does it thanks to his phobia. Also no reason to commit murder anyways. Whit: No reason I can think of why he would commit murder. Maybe if Charles is the victim? But kinda a stretch that would happen. Rose: Similar to Charles, her memory and mind feeling like it's breaking down would prevent her from being able to commit murder. The trauma it alone would not be able to let her live peacefully if she succeed. Nico: I don't think theyâll commit murder again after almost committing one and regretting it. Not to mention currently dealing with guilt and blame of murder allegations stuck to them.
Levi: He is literally dying, how would this man commit murder? Not to mention that 1. Levi if he survive would be set up for character arc of learning to care for others as Aceâs death started the set up for it, so it's strange to throw that away and have him kill. 2. While yes Levi doesn't feel remorse for if he kill a person, that doesn't mean he would actively go out to kill anyone in this game. We don't know why he killed his dad, but it's apparently not a big deal enough where the police didn't even bother with his case. One guy he killed was in self defense while the other two he did chase after them to kill them. But it could be argued that Levi only did that maybe because he thought they come back for him and kill him for killing their leader.
David: While David does want a murder to happen to be able to end the killing game, I don't think he would commit it as it would be too obivious he did it and then they would get it right. Plus he seems important enough as the antagonist to at least survive until ch.4 or 5(it fits him better to die in ch.5 to me).
Now lets get to the fun tragic part of who shall be our victims? To get out of the way, weâre going to exclude Teruko, Nico, and David from this as Teruko is our protagonist and Nico I don't think will be killed as they have a potential character arc for them to go through + gender ratio is only trying to balance out the girls and guys(not to say that Nico is invincible in terms of being killed). As for David, I'm just assuming plot armor of being the antagonist will allow him to live, at least until ch.5 since other antagonist like Nagito and Kokichi lived until that chapter. Also picks for the killers will be feature as victims whether they were a victim from the start or manipulated into killing before being betrayed or killed by someone else who caught them in the act.
Victim option 1: J So J I cannot see as a killer in the game with her strong sense of morals against murder and the fact she seems put together enough to not let any grudges to make her kill someone. But I can see in the scenario if she is at the wrong place, wrong time she could end up as a victim. Maybe Arturo killing her could be him snapping at her for her blaming him for the deaths of his sister and the others, but I think less likely to happen.
Victim option 2: Eden Eden being a very vulnerable state of grieving over Arei and what has happened can allow her to be off her guard to be pick for a target. But I will say that Eden will probably surround herself with others to keep her safe and to have as company to comfort her in losing her dear friend. Not to mention Eden will maybe still try at least helping with dinner with Hu so she might not be an easy pick if thereâs at least someone near her.
Victim option 3: Charles So a couple of people in the fandom thinks that Charles will actually die in chapter 3 due to Whitâs joke line in chapter 2 about Charles dying at 3. Honestly it's a bit of a stretch for me. Like yeah I am a Charles survivor truther, but also if Charles was going to die, it would only be if Whit or Teruko wasnât with him. Even if conflict arise between him and Whit, I don't think that will prevent him from having someone he trust be around nor Whit from not worrying about him. So I actually think Charles is safe here+ there is still more to explore with him that I don't think death would help be able to expand his connection to the main plot if he died.
Victim option 4: Levi
Okay this option I really don't like because I do want Levi to live til the end or at least long enough to complete his character arc. But hereâs the thing. Potentially depending on Leviâs state on whether heâll be bedbound in the infirimy or be active in being able to move, if the former is true, then that leaves Levi very vulnerable. I can see him being guarded/check on by a caregiver, but that doesn't eliminate the possibilities of either A. His caregiver kills him, B. The killer sneaks in when the caregiver left their post and kills him(allowing them to frame the caregiver), or C. The killer kills both Levi and his caregiver. Like I said, I don't really like this option as it feels disappointing if Levi wasn't allow to live as that makes Aceâs sacrifice worthless in the end. But I wanted to at least share the possibility.
Victim option 5: Whit
To be honest, Whit has a lot potential right now to continue living since heâs a mystery in terms of his mom, his true feelings, and whether or not this guy is the mastermind or traitor. So it feel weird if he justâŠdied right here. Plus only way I can see someone targeting Whit is if its to get back at him for his match making idea I had for scenario 1 failing for them. Which is most likely not to happen. Also I just realized how funny that sounds, it make it sound like the killer killed Whit because he couldn't get them a gf, bf, or partner in the process. Whit be like âSorry man, not my fault you have negative rizzâ. Immediately gets stabbed. Not to mention heâll be hanging out with Charles and Teruko a lot, so I don't think anyone could jump him easily.
Victim option 5: Rose
Alrighty now weâre getting to someone I can believe to be a victim for ch.3 even though I hate it because she is my top fifth favorite character. Rose is definitely not doing good with her mind failing her in her memory on other things except for observing objects or scenes in detail. To which now with Levi being shot and Ace dying from cardiac arrest, that makes the amount of people she witness dying or getting hurt 5(if she was looking at Aceâs execution). That number alone is probably destroying her and is worse as now if Levi survives, she wonât be able to stand looking at him as well like how its hard for her to look at Teruko due to just seeing her all bloody. This along with her possible narcolepsy leaves Rose very vulnerable to become a victim. Or worse, maybe sheâll actually let the culprit kill her to put her out of her misery. Rose already feels like her life is ruined with being in debt to Richard Spurling and not being able to create anything of her own. Add not being able to focus on things anymore with only seeing bodies, I can sadly see Rose taking the killer killing her as a mercy to end her sufferingâŠ.if this happens I will cry hard and only hope she could at least make up with Nico before she dies(or alternatively have a scene like Hifumi to Aoi but with Rose to Nico).
Victim option 6: Arturo
Arturo to me if not the killer this chapter can either go as a victim or surviving until another chapter(I will say it would be interesting if he ended up as a survivor). I can see him possible becoming a victims more out of the other options of the guys specifically if Veronika is the killer. This is mostly due to her being around him the most besides J(well actually it's more of him being around J more). Perhaps if Arturo in a bad mental state if he fails to save Levi or is getting blamed for his sisterâs death again, I can see Veronika perhaps taking advantage of this to bring him further in despair before then striking when heâs not suspecting it. Or alternatively trick him into a trap to maybe go to the movie theater room to think she just wants him to watch another horror movie, to then BAM! Here lies Arturo Giles. I kinda hope this doesn't happen cuz I am a big Venturo shipper(idk guys maybe he can fix her he cannot).
Victim option 7: Hu
Hu to me feels like she could fit more as a killer or the second victim than the first victim to be honest. I say this as Hu will most likely until being pushed away by most of the groupâs conflict will remain close to others like Nico or Eden, which prevents the killer from immediately getting to her unless they plan to get Nico and Eden too. Now if Hu were to be the second victim and work maybe with the killer, I could see this happening in the hypothetical Veronika as the culprit scenario. We already know the two made a pact to keep each other's secrets a secret until the time to reveal them. So whoâs to say that they wouldnât make another pact to work together? Thereâs noting in the rules indicate that one cannot kill more than one victim nor that possibly two blackneneds can escape.
I can see where Veronika strikes a deal with Hu to both of them committing a murder and then escaping together. Which leads to two possible scenarios of A. Veronika betrays Hu(or alternatively in Hu!culprit route she kills her and betray her) thus paralleling Celeset killing Hifumi after Hifumi killed Kiyotaka for her. Or B. Both Veronika and Hu kill two people and then the trial only one of them can be voted for. I doubt the latter option will happen, so I feel like the former the way to go. Plus we could still have Huâs secret quote come into play of maybe her talking to Veronika about having regrets over killing someone and wanted to pay for it, but she still wants to live. Where Veronika takes this as her possibly backing out of their plan and thus, kills her before she spills.
Victim option 8: Veronika
Getting to our last option for a victim being Veronika! So I can see Veronika being a victim this chapter in three ways. Like stated before, if Veronika planned a murder with Hu as a partner and then was betrayed by her, then she would be the second victim. Another way I can see Veronika being the victim is if she actually planning for her own murder. What I mean is what if Veronika(whether its Hu or maybe even Arturo) wants to end up as a victim to create a complex murder mystery to both fullfill herself of an entertaining murder, to sucumb to despair from not being able to keep herself entertain, or in a mess up way, get the group back working together by figuring out whodunnit for her murder. As bonus, the killer gets a free chance to escape the game if the group fails. The last option as she would say is boring as Veronika ends up as a victim via suicide. This option is really only if Veronika fails to be able to entertain herself in the killing game and instead succumbs to despair. Personally, I believe Veronika would try to fight against this and plan a murder before doing that. Sheâs all for the excitement of thrills, chills, and kills! Why would she waste the opportunity to enact on a murder mystery to just plainly end it all?
Now that we covered all our potential killer and victim combos, which out of all of them do I feel most likely to happen next chapter?
For the killers, I am tied between Veronika and Hu, but leaning towards Veronika a bit more.
As for the victims, I feel like for the female victim it might be Rose. As for the male victim, it's tied between Arturo or Levi as both scenarios I can see.
It will be awhile before we can see if anything I brought up might lead to something or be disproven and end up as a fun what if scenario. But I like to while participating in the community share some fun thoughts and ideas of what could happen. We have all the time in the world to speculate, so let's give it everything we got!

Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko Ep 6: The Politics of the Closet
There have been some good posts already about how forced outing is not actually excused by a character's crush or different values (@pigglepiephi here and @respectthepetty here as two examples) so I won't spend a lot of time retreading that ground. Risa should not have told Ayaka that Hiroko was a lesbian, and Mama should have known better than to spill more of Hiroko's secrets after already having been confronted on and apologizing for doing so last episode. And it would be one thing if this was a character choice that the show was clear was not the right decision, but it seems to be presenting these choices as positive because it is moving the main romance forward. @hyeoni-comb noted the parallels between this this and She Makes My Heart Flutter, specifically around how both shows have a character of a different generation explaining the mindset of an older lesbian to the younger generation, which at a theoretical level, like hyeon is talking about here, I do also like; But I think a significant difference, and why it's bothering me in this show when it didn't in SMMHF, is the very different circumstances of both characters. [For those who haven't seen SMMHF, the character in question in that case was concerned about marketing her lesbian bar on social media. Also, go watch it, it's fantastic!]
What's still sitting so poorly with me about episode 6 of Ayaka is in Love with Hiroko is the way the show seems to be saying that Hiroko is wrongly scared and irrationally continuing to be closeted at work while times have changed. Mama says her reason for telling Hiroko's secrets to Risa and Ayaka is so that they can help Hiroko with her situation. She says 'there was a time when society was much harsher and more prejudiced'. She calls Hiroko's thinking old-fashioned. This suggests that Hiroko is in the wrong for hiding her sexuality. [This also sets how this is going in AIILWH apart from how it was done in SMMHF, because in that show the characters came around to realizing the owner would need to be ready on her own time to take that risk, which is a much more compassionate place to land.]
It bothers me when queer media tells queer people that they are paranoid for being afraid of being outed, especially at school or work. Has Japanese society progressed since 2014 so much that people can comfortably be out as lesbians in office workplaces without fear of repercussion to their careers? Because Canadian society hasn't, certainly not in every office [I only started being out at work in the last year, because the VP of the office where I worked until then was homophobic, as one example]. And we know that at least some of the people from the flashbacks still work there, so Hiroko's fears seem super valid to me.
Also, it isn't actually any of her colleagues' business who Hiroko does or doesn't fuck on her own time. It is definitely also true that Hiroko feels isolated and lonely because nobody at work knows her fully--since being a lesbian is a huge part of who she is--and I get that. The closet is a horrible, isolating experience. But it's super important to me that Hiroko gets to make that decision for herself. I would have been so down for a story where Risa and Ayaka reached out to Hiroko and made space for her to be herself and comfortable with a trusted sub-set of colleagues (including Yuya, natch). I would have also been ok with Ayaka outing herself as a lesbian at work to model that things have actually changed and it is safer--with Hiroko about to step in to a manager's position, I could believe that it she'd be able to ensure there would be minimal blowback. That would put them in a good position to negotiate what a relationship might look like, and would have been a great way to have that generational gap conversation, and maybe giving Hiroko confidence to come out herself eventually.
But instead Ayaka is starting the gossip mill about her crush, and putting eyes on Hiroko, which will inevitably either out her or force her to be even more closeted to hide her sexuality from the increased scrutiny. Regardless of the genders involved, there's also the fact that office romances especially across power lines are potentially problematic and could lead to problems for both of them. It feels like we are not well set up to take the complications of an office romance between a junior and a senior (or a boss) seriously, and that has me nervous too.
I'm waiting to see what the next episode brings, but this is why the episode has left me feeling so uncomfortable, and worried about how this show is going to land it's last two episodes.

Brothers react to an MC who was adopted and raised by demons(one of the things MCâs foster parents drilled into their head is you donât take shit from other demons see the reference?)
I definitely do see the reference! I decided to do this where gender-neutral human reader is adopted, but has the same personality as Charlie.
Lucifer
You were a big ball of sunshine that he honestly didnât mind having around the house. Itâs a nice contrast to the usual negativity that was the House of Lamentation. However, for being raised by demons, you were very naive and ignorant. Not to worry, as it only gives him an excuse to be by your side as often as you can.
However, you donât let anyone walk all over you. You have thrown hands with Mammon for insulting you, and Lucifer has seen you. You might be dressed well, and you might be human, but you can definitely pack a punch.Â
Another thing he found out was that you were a very theatrical person, which was a strange thing to learn about you. He often finds you doing your chores while either humming or dancing, and it brings him a strange sense of comfort. He often sneaks up behind you to wrap his arms around your torso and place a kiss on your cheek to greet you.
Whenever heâs been working all day, you often show great concern and bring him some tea and snacks so he would have at least eaten something. Then, you will take some of the paperwork and start filling it out. Because of your hard work, he will often take you out to Ristorante Six on a date.
Mammon
Would have never guessed until he had actually met your parents. After all, it was wise of them to visit you to see how you were holding up in the HoL. But you were so freaking positive, which was very uncommon for people who were surrounded by demons. By the way, he thinks your parents are intimidating as hell.
He remembers one time where you were super stressed and he called you âhumanâ in an unintentionally condescending way, and you threw hands. You were super freaking strong for a human, and he is struggling worse than when he struggles with Lucifer.
When he found out you were very theatrical, he was trying so hard not to burst out laughing. He saw you dancing in your room, and he was basically waiting for you to notice him in the doorframe. He would never tell you this, but he thought you were absolutely adorable with how ignorant you were to his presence.
So, he often takes up jobs to get money, as one typically does. He has been in multiple modeling gigs, and oftentimes they are back-to-back. You are worried that he will over-exert himself, so you often accompany him to the modeling agencies so that you can support him in what heâs doing. It makes all the difference for him.
Leviathan
You remind him of one of the protagonists from I Want to Start a Hotel So That Demons Have a Chance to Change And Be Redeemed. You were positive, naive, and joyful. He thought you were a total normie until you told him that you were adopted and raised by demons even though you were human.
There was one time where Mammon had called you âhumanâ and you werenât gonna let it slide. You shoved all of your belongings into Leviâs arms as you threw some hands that the second eldest couldnât catch. The third eldest would have recorded it had he not been scared you would punch him too if he put down your items.
He can get very theatrical too, and if he hears you singing to a show intro that he knows and loves, he will sing it with you. We all know that this man loves karaoke, and when heâs with you he has all the confidence in the world.Â
If he ever gets in an antisocial mood and wonât come out, you often replenish his snacks and make sure that he gets an adequate amount of sleep because you donât like seeing him unwell. These simple acts of kindness and love mean so much to him, you donât even know. So, in the meantime, just admire the blush thatâs all over his face.
Satan
Being naive in the Devildom was a very bad thing that he found absolutely adorable, so donât mind him as he sticks close whenever you go out. One time, you told him about how you were adopted by demons and knew your way around, and he was surprised and kept that in mind.
However, you were not a pushover. Mammon (again) called you âhumanâ, implying that you were weak, and so you decided to show him how weak you really are. Satan tried to pull you off, but you kicked him where the sun doesnât shine and went back to biting the second eldestâs arm.
I donât think heâs very theatrical, but he doesnât mind humming a little tune every now and then. For instance, if heâs dusting his tall shelves with you, he will start humming a song that you know so you can sing along to it. Oftentimes, you donât finish cleaning since you both are dancing with one another.
Sometimes, Satan doesnât know when to catch a break and it can often lead to him getting angry. You try your best to calm him down (much like Charlie does with Vaggie in the show), but it doesnât always work. So, you bring him tea and leave him alone unless he tells you to stay.
Asmodeus
There was no way you were human because you were immune to his charm, or so he thought. Come to find out that you were human but adopted by demon parents, and everything started to make sense. If your parents were wise, they probably placed some sort of spell so you wouldnât be deceived. No matter, since he would never do that!
But, even though it seemed like it at first, you were not easily insulted without consequences. Mammon called you âhumanâ in a condescending way, and Asmo watched as you lunged for his older brotherâs throat. He had no idea that you were so violent, but he had to admit that he was definitely turned on.
Asmodeus can be very theatrical, so you both go hand-in-hand whenever you enter the world of nonsense that you two have created. You would think everyday is a Disney movie with him being the princess and you being the prince.Â
Unfortunately, there are lows in the relationship. Sometimes, Asmo doesnât feel beautiful on the inside, and youâre there to hold up the mirror and tell him all the things you appreciate about him while holding up a mirror. When he starts feeling better, he will shower your face in kisses of appreciation and gratitude.
Beelzebub
He finds it cool that you already knew about the Devildom and even hell because of your adoptive parents. But, because your head was often not grasping the reality of any given situation and only seeing the possibilities of what could happen, he sticks close so he can be sure that you donât get hurt.
The first time he saw you fight was when Mammon had called you âhumanâ. Well, Beel could have been convinced that you did heavy lifting or something with how you picked his second oldest brother up and threw him like he was a rubber ball in dodgeball and you were one of the athletic kids.
Beel is not theatrical at all, but he will stare at you with a lovestruck gaze if you are humming while making him food. Better yet, if youâre cooking together, he will quietly put the utensils heâs holding down to come up behind you and wrap his arms around you.
But, there are times where he feels guilty for eating so much. So, when you see him trying to restrict himself, you always make extra food so he can have some more. You understand that itâs not his fault and that heâs a genuinely good person, and thatâs what he appreciates.
Belphegor
Honestly, he wonders why the hell demon parents would adopt a human child. But then he really gets to know you (and attempts to kill you, more on that later), and he sees that not all humans are bad. You were even a bit naive, and you were really breaking the stereotype that he had formed.
Now, speaking of attempting to kill you, it was only an attempt because you were ready to fight for your life. You may be human, but you knew how to roll up your sleeves and throw hands so hard that cartoonish dust clouds rise up with arms and legs sticking out of the big dust ball.
Heâs also not theatrical, and at first found the whole dancing and singing thing totally annoying. But, if you were to hum to him as he was trying to go to sleep, he would be willing to see past the overly happy side of you.Â
There are multiple times where he feels major guilt for trying to kill you. No matter how many times you say you forgive him, he will never forgive himself. All you can do is offer him comfort as much as possible to show him that youâre not scared of him.

âIsnât there some way we could justâyou knowâknock him from his saddle?â
You bit back a smile at Cynewynâs suggestion, although it did have merit, and tried instead to focus on the plate you were drying. âThe trouble with that would be, we might spook his horse and if it was injured, weâd never forgive us, would we?â
âWell, no. I donât suppose we would. But, the horse might be just fine. Only Ăomer would get no less than he deserves.â
âTrue, but itâs a risk Iâd rather not take. The last thing either us or papa needs is to to pay for replacing his horse.â
âIt would be no less than he deserves as well, the snake. Iâd like to throw a rock at him right now.â
âMakes two of us, but againââÂ
âI know,â Cynewyn sighed, âitâs a risk youâd rather not take.â
âExactly.â You smiled at your older sister. âWe can only hope that one day, he gets his and that we are lucky enough to witness it.â
âWhich is not going to happen.â Cynewyn went quiet as she dunked another plate into the washbasin. âStill, why would he do that to you, anyway? What was the point?â
You shrugged, taking the plate to wipe dry. âTo make sport of me, I suppose. After all, isnât it funny when a man pretends heâs interested in you and then when you show up at your agreed upon meeting place, heâs nowhere to be found? And isnât it funny when he and his friends were just outside of the pub, giggling like children, is just so amusing?â
âMen? Bah! They are but boys. Big boys, but boys just the same.â She passed you another plate.
You said nothing, but dried the plate and then slid it onto its shelf in the cupboard, atop the small stack youâd already dried. In the time it took you to do that, Ăomer had moved on down the road that ran before the kitchen windows of your familyâs small stone cottage. You should have known heâd been sporting with you when he asked you to meet him at the coffeehouse the previous week. Until that morning, he didn't seem to know you were alive. It was only too bad you could not say the same, because not only did you most definitely know he was alive, you thought he was the most perfect man alive. That afternoon, however, he toppled from that pedestal and shattered at its base as far as you were concerned.Â
Of course, that didn't mean his thoughtless actions didn't hurt. Because they did. They most definitely did.Â
But, youâd not think about what happened any longer. Heâd gotten a good laugh at your expense, but you would rise above it. You had no other choice, really. He was the kingâs nephew and you were⊠wellâŠ
You were nobody, really.Â
A depressing thought.
You finished drying the dishes and left your sister to whatever it was she was doing. You shared a room and night after night, you would stretch out on your bed and try to read whilst she went through her seemingly bottomless supply of fabric for whatever gown she was going to try to copy from whichever lady she saw in town. She was really quite gifted, so you didnât mind when she asked you to be her model, as you had no dressmakerâs dummy. But tonight, she did not need your assistance and, claiming a headache, instead she chose to go to bed early. A good nightâs sleep was always welcomed, but as you lay there in the dark, sleep mocked you instead. It had been happening more and more often now, as the world grew more unsettled and while you could usually find some way to drift off, tonight was not one of those nights. You were simply too restless and so you slipped from the small stone cottage to go for a walk.Â
You tried not think about how disappointed youâd been when Ăomer stood you up at the coffeehouse. Perhaps you should have expected it, but it hurt just the same. Of course, you werenât the only one who imagined catching his eye. Half the women of marriageable age in Edoras dreamed of doing just that and no one could blame a one of you. Not only was he the kingâs nephew, but he was so blasted handsome, with his long, wavy dark gold hair and direct hazel eyes. And whenever you saw him on horsebackâyou melted a little on the inside each time.
Of course, now he knew you fancied him and not only that, but heâd used it against you. Knocking him off his horse wasn't even close to being enough. Still, you couldn't dwell on it forever. In time, everyone who was in that coffeehouse would forget.
Everyone but you, anyway.Â
âAnd that is the last we will think of it,â you muttered, trying instead to focus on something, anything, else as you strolled on.Â
It was a peaceful night, hints of the coming autumn in the crisp edge of the breeze that stirred the leaves last nightâs storm had pulled from the trees. The best thing about the stone cottage at the end of the road in Edoras? You were the farthest point from the kingâs residence, which meant you would most likely not cross paths again with Ăomer at this time of night. True, heâd been riding south, which meant that at some point he would pass by here again, but youâd have enough warning, as the road was wide and almost no trees lined it. Sneaking up on you would be almost impossible.Â
Not that he would even try. Heâd made himself perfectly clear where you were concerned.Â
The night sky was clear, spangled with stars and moonlight bathed everything as far as you could see an etherial silver color. There had been rumblings to the east, and youâd heard talk amongst the menfolk about the possibility of war, and you also knew that orcs had been seen on the borders of Rohan. And that was why you did not leave your house without a blade of some sort. Although your father was not overjoyed at the thought, he allowed both you and Cynewyn to carry a small sword, which you were almost never without. You werenât a master by any stretch of the imagination, but Papa had made certain you and your sister learned how to defend yourselves, should the need ever arise.
Your walks had become your way of remaining sane when it seemed there was so much uncertainty all around. The thought of war was so foreign to you, as your father insulated you and Cynewyn as best he could, and yet you knew it wasnât far off. The kingâs health was failing, and youâd heard rumors that he, Ăomer, and the kingâs advisor, Grima, had been butting heads of late.Â
Perhaps that was why Ăomer had gone thundering past the kitchen windows on his horse as he had. One too many cross words with his uncle, maybe? In some ways, you hoped so, for if Ăomer was banished, life would become easier for you.
But at the same time, if you were completely honest with yourself, you knew if he left for good, you would miss him terribly. How difficult it was, caring so much for a man you also tried so hard to despise! If only you could forgive him.
If only.
You vowed once more to not think about it.Â
Instead, you concentrated on the beauty of the night sky, of how those stars seemed so vast and endless, how the moon managed to bathe things silver although it gave off no light. You listened to the whisper of the wind through the scrub grass and bushes that dotted the landscape seemingly to the edge of Middle Earth. The wind whispered, crickets chirped, and in the distance, an owl hooted. A normal night.
Or so you thought.
You heard the noise before you saw the creature that made it and as those sounds reached your ears, the stench reached your nose. Your heart lurched, your stomach kinked, and a sour taste filled your mouth, brought on both by the stink and the coldest, iciest, most petrifying fear that ever permeated your being.
Papa always told you not to venture too far from the road. One never knew what lurked in the fields sweeping east and west, where twisted trees grew in clumps and provided cover for many things.
Such as the orc now standing over Ăomerâs prone body.
You ducked, shifting toward the stand of pine trees twisted by the winds, which thankfully carried any sounds you might have made away from the orc and Ăomer. Metal clanged Ăomer blocked the orcâs downward swing with his blade. He held fast, his arms trembling from the effort and his heavy glove the only thing keeping the dual-sided blade from slicing into his hand.
The orc appeared to brace harder against his blade, determined to run Ăomer through and you couldn't let that happen, no matter how angry or hurt you were because of him. So, you slid your blade free and crept about the pines as silently as you knew how. Youâd learned from Papa, who would take you with him when he went hunting, and although you could never bring yourself to kill anything, you learned from him just the same. Besides, an orc wasnât anywhere near as beautiful as a deer or fox. Quite the opposite, really. They were the ugliest, vilest, most disgusting creatures to walk the earth as far as you were concerned.Â
Your soft-skinned boots made no sound as you approached and the orc never knew what hit him when you swung and cleaved his head clean from his shoulders. What was left of him collapsed like a sandbag atop Ăomer, who swore softly as the creatureâs thick, black blood splattered him.Â
Nausea rose in your throat as it spattered you as well, and you tried to ignore it as you grabbed the still-warm shoulder and threw the corpse back. âAre you all right?â
âIâve had better nights,â Ăomer groaned, rolling over and onto his knees, his sword clattering softly in the dust. âWhat are you doing out here?â
âI was but going for a walk. What is thatââ you gestured to the dead orcââdoing here? They do not usually venture so close to our borders.â
âThey grow bolder and have been for some time now.â He rocked back on his knees and swept his silver and brass helmet from his head to let it clatter to the ground alongside his sword. âAre you all right?â
âMe? I am fine.â You resheathed your sword and carefully crouched alongside him. His dark blond hair was damp with sweat, pulled away from his face and held back with a small strip of worn leather. âAnd you?â
ïżœïżœIâll be fine.â
âWhat happened?â
âItâs nothing.â He winced as he shifted onto his backside and gingerly prodded at his left thigh.
You looked down, your stomach clenching at the sight of the wound that mustâve bled terribly, for the entire front of his trouser leg was stained with a large wet patch. It looked as if the orcâs blade had sliced through the fabric. Without thinking, you brushed his hands aside to see for yourself and as soon as you had, you wished you hadnât.Â
The wound was ugly and raw, a long slice from just below his hip to his knee, and still bled freely. âWe need to get you home.â
âYou go on. I need to find my horse.â
âYour horse is not here,â you told him, scanning all around to make certain you werenât lying. You wereât. There was no sign of a horse anywhere about. âCome, letâs get you up and I will help you.â
âJust leave meâŠâ
âOh, donât be a fool!â
He jerked back. âI am serious. Leave me. The last I want is harm befalling you on my behalf. So please, just go. There will be more of them coming, looking for this one,â he nudged the corpse with one boot. âAnd I am not at all certain Iâd be able to protect you.â
âYou mean you arenât certain youâd want to.â
He just stared up at you. âI didn't say that, nor would I.â
âYou might as well. Arenât I only a laugh to you anyway? Ever the fool for you and your friends to chuckle over.â
At least he didn't try to deny his actions or motivations as he said, âOh⊠the coffeehouse.â
âYes,â you nodded, âthe coffeehouse. So, youâll forgive me if I don't believe you would lift a finger to keep an orc away from me. Of course, you would do well to remember that it was I who saved you from an orc regardless. Still, if you wish to be left alone, far be it from me to insist on staying.â
You moved to stand, only to have him catch you by the wrist. âNo, please,â he said softly, looking up once more, âdonât go. IâI owe you an apology for that.â
âTo save your sorry skin, no doubt.â
To your surprise, he chuckled. âI deserve that.â
âOh, thatâs mighty big of you to admit,â you said dryly. âHow very big indeed.â
âVery well, youâre right, you know. About all of it. And I mean that in the most sincere manner possible. Honest.â
That took a bit of wind from your sails and you sighed. âPerhaps we might fight about it later?â
He bobbed his head. âI wholeheartedly agree with that notion. Much, much later. In fact, we should never speak of it again.â
âOnce you apologize, you mean.â
âI just did apologize.â
âNo,â you shook your head, âyou said you owed me one, which you do of course. But admitting it is not an actual apology.â
To your surprise, he burst out laughing. It was cut short by a sharp inhale of pain, but his smile only wavered as he snorted, âYouâre joking, right?â
âYou mean to tell me you honestly considered that an apology? Those sorry words? Truly?â
âWellâŠâ he nodded. âYes."
âFine.â You stood up and brushed dirt and crushed pine needles from your backside. âIâll bid you good eve then. You should hope youâre mobile once more before they come looking for their friend.â
You had every intention of marching off, of just leaving him there to rot, not caring if any more orcs happened upon him. It would serve him right. Apology. Bah! He could go pound sand, as Papa would say.
However, you only got maybe ten feet away when your conscience got the better of you and you came back to find he hadnât moved an inch.Â
âCome,â you growled, crouching beside him once more to take hold of his left wrist. âLetâs get you back.â
âI didn't know you cared,â he said even as he allowed you to help him up.
âI donât. I should let you rot.â
âSo, why arenât you?â
âI donât know. Iâm a soft-hearted fool, I suppose.â You gave a not so gentle tug. âWe should go. His pack is bound to notice heâs not returned and I do not want to have to explain to your uncle how I let you get butchered by orcs.â
âIâll be forever grateful,â he replied drolly.
âDo you wish my help or not?â
He draped an arm about your shoulder. âYes, of course I do. And I appreciate it as well.â He winced. âHow far are we from Edorasâ border?â
âItâs better if you donât know.â
âThat far, eh?â
He leaned heavily on your shoulder, and you tried to ignore the stinging along your neck, the dull ache that spread down into your shoulder from bearing the brunt of his weight, as he was considerably taller and heavier than you were. âIâm afraid so, yes.â
âWonderful.â
For reasons you couldn't begin to explain, the drollness in his deep voice made you laugh. âYes, I couldnât agree more.â
You managed to get him back to the road, him leaning hard against you with each step he took on his wounded leg. And with each step, his gait slowed. âTake care,â he said when you stumbled. âIt would do us both no good if we fell.â
âI beg your⊠pardon,â you gritted, hefting him higher on your shoulder once more, âbut⊠you are⊠not light, you know.â
âI know and I appreciate your help here as well.â He went silent for a long moment, then, drew in a deep breath and added, âAnd Iâm sorry. For what I did at the coffeehouse.â
âAll you had to do was come in and tell me youâd changed your mind, you know.â you told him, staring straight ahead, waiting for Edorasâ reassuring lights to come into view. At least then, you knew youâd be close to home and close to safety.Â
âThe thing of it is, I didnât change my mind.â The regret in his voice surprised you and you stopped without warning, catching him as he stumbled, then scolded, âTake care, if you wouldnât mind.â
âIâm sorry, but what? What do you mean, you didn't change your mind? Of course you did. I was there, remember? I was there and you were not.â
âNo, I know that, but,â he pulled free, easing his arm from about her shoulders before shifting to settle on a rock, âI need to sit a moment.â
You didn't fight him, happy to be free of his weight, even if only for a few minutes. You rubbed the side of your neck. âOnly a few minutes, though. We donât know how much time we have left.â
âI know.â He looked up at you. âI didnât change my mind, you know.â
âSo youâve said. What you havenât said, was why you just left me sitting there like a fool.â Finally, you were able to get that weight off your chest, your eyes stinging the way they had in the coffeehouse, when you realized he was not coming through the door. âWhy did you do that to me?â
âI was coming in,â he said slowly, looking up to meet your gaze, âand when I saw you⊠I got nervous and I know that sounds idiotic, but itâs the truth. It was a stupid, fool thing to do to you and I am ever so sorry I hurt you. If I could but do it over, I would walk through that door and we would not be having this conversation. And for that, I am also sorry.â
You had waited so long for him to assume responsibility for how heâd hurt you. And now that he had, you were at a loss for words. How did you respond to that? What did you say?
âAm I supposed to believe you had an attack of nerves? You, of all people?â
âIs that so hard to believe? Iâm only human as human as any other man, you know. And that means that yes, sometimes, I have an attack of nerves. Iâm not made of stone, Iâll have you know and youââ
You waited a moment for him to finish, your heart beating erratically now as those words were the last ones she ever thought sheâd hear from him. But, when he remained silent, just staring at the ground, you leaned in. âI what?â
He looked up then, his eyes soft, and murmured, âYou stole the breath from my lungs.â
You could only stare. Were you but dreaming or perhaps heâd suffered a head injury before you reached him? One of those had to be the truth because there was no other rational explanation for his words, no matter how they set butterflies free in your belly to batter your insides with their wildly-beating wings.Â
âĂomer, IâI donât know what to say,â you finally managed.Â
âNo, Iâm sure you donât,â he replied softly. âAnd I cannot fault you. But, if you could find it in your heart to forgive me, I would like another chance. A chance to right things between us.â
âThings between us? Is there a thing between us, never mind more than one?â
To your surprise, a sheepish smile lifted his lips. âI should like there to be.âÂ
âI donât even like you, you know.â
His grin widened. âSomehow, I donât believe that. After all, you came back, didnât you?â
âDonât let it go to your head. I could still leave you out here.â
âYou could.â He nodded, then shook his head. âBut you wonât.â
You stared at him for a long moment, then let out a heavy sigh of resignation. âNo. I don't suppose I will.â
His eyes sparkled with mischief. âI knew it.â
You offered up a smile of your own and then, with all the force you could generate, you punched him square in the shoulder.Â
He yelped as the blow sent him rocking backwards. âWhat was that for?â
âBecause you, Ăomer, are an ass and I should leave you here to suffer whatever fate you deserve.â
âYou should, but I wish you wouldnât.â He reached for your hand, caught it, and linked his fingers with yours. âI am truly sorry, though. You have to believe me.â
âWhy should I believe you now?â
Ăomer winced as he carefully stood. âBecause I would like the chance to right my wrong where you are concerned.â
You looked up at him. âAnd how do you think you can do such a thing? I hate you.â
âNo, you donât.âÂ
âIâm fairly certain I do.â
He smiled then and bent and before you could say anything, his lips met yours. Despite his wounded leg, he caught your face between his hands, not so much as wavering as his lips moved teasingly and gentle against yours, as his tongue eased between your lips to caress yours, and you shivered at the silken caress. His lips were soft and warm and those butterflies fluttered harder now, with more fury as he kissed you slow and deep and made your head spin as it had never spun before.Â
Ăomer was slightly breathless when he drew back. âSo, will you allow me another chance? A chance to right what Iâve done wrong?â
âBy all rights, I should say no.â
âBut you wonât.â His hazel eyes sparkled with mischief.
âNo,â you shook your head slowly, âI wonât.â
In the distance, came the snarl of wargs and that was enough to spur Ăomer to drape his arm about your neck once more and say, âWe should go.â
âA wise idea, to be sure.â
You made it back to Edoras without incident and you wasted no time in rousing the healer from her bed, just as she wasted no time in shooing you from the infirmary. Someone must have alerted Ăowyn as well, for she came hurrying down the corridor, her hair bound up away from her face and still in her nightdress.
âWhat happened?â
âHe was set upon by orcs just beyond the border.â
âBut what were you doing out there?â
You managed a smile. âI was but going for a walk. I was having trouble sleeping, and sometimes that helps.â
âYou need be careful,â she warned. âWhat if youâd been alone?â
âWe wonât think about that.â
The healer came out. âMy lady,â she said with a tired smile. âHis lordship is resting now and heâd like to see you.âÂ
Ăowyn stepped forward, only to have the healer shake her head. âNo, my lady, Iâm sorry. He meant you,â she said, looking at you.
You swallowed hard. âM-me?â
The healer nodded now. âHe was very clear.â
âIâll just see what he might want,â you said, feeling no little guilt at Ăowynâs almost hurt expression. âAnd when he hears youâve come down to see him, Iâm sure he will ask you be brought in.â
Ăowyn said nothing, but bobbed her head and you followed the healer into the small, quiet, semi-dark room.Â
Ăomer was abed, the linens stark even against his pale hair, and your heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, as youâd never seen him so informally dressed, his loose tunic left unlaced to offer up an enticing patch of what you were certain was a finely-muscled chest. The image that came to your mind brought those butterflies to life once more deep within your belly.Â
His eyes were closed, his enviably thick lashes dark crescents against his pale cheeks, but as you drew near, they opened and a tired smile lifted the corners of his mouth. âI thought perhaps Iâd dreamed everything that happened this night,â he said softly, âbut the pain is far too real.â
âI assume your healer stitched the wound. It looked fairly ugly.â
He nodded. âShe did. I can resume duties in a week, according to her.â He gestured for you to come closer and when you did, he added in a whisper, âand we wonât tell her when Iâm gone come morning, will we?â
âYou should take her advice.â
âI cannot. Not right now.â
âĂomer, you will be useless with only a few hoursâ rest and one leg. You need allow yourself time to heal.â
âAre you taking her side?â
âIn this?â You nodded. âAbsolutely.â
âBut⊠youâre supposed to take my side.âÂ
âI would be, if you werenât talking such foolishness.â
âOuch. You wound me.â As he spoke, he reached out and caught your hand, and your mouth went dry as he gave a gentle tug. âCome and lay with me.â
âI couldnât.â
âYou could.â
âĂomer.â
âWhat?â
âI don't even like you.â
His eyes glinted with a hint of mischief. âWe both know that isnât true, donât we?â
âOh, itâs true.â
âLiar.â He tugged again. âAre you truly going to make a wounded man beg?â
âĂomer.â
âWhat?â He brought your hand to his lips, to your surprise, brushed its back with a kiss and murmured, âPlease?â
You stared down at him for a long moment. âYou are supposed to be injured.â
âI am injured. Nearly twenty stitches are holding that wound closed. But somehow, I don't think Iâll mind being trapped in this bed, if I have someone to share it with.â
Your heart fluttered. âĂomer. You are in an infirmary.â
âI know, but Iâm in my own room, as you see.â He smiled. âNo one will bother us and I promise to keep my hands to myself.â
With that, his smile grew mischievous. âUnless, of course, youâd rather I didnât. And then, the next time I see you in the great hall or the yard, Iâll just look across at you and smile and only you will know why.â
You sighed softly and then, after a quick look about, gingerly stretched out alongside him, your heart beating faster as he drew his arm about your shoulders to tug you closer. You peered up at him. âAnd why will I be smiling?â
His eyes glinted with that same hint of mischief that let loose even more butterflies in your belly. âYouâll see.â
With that, he caught you beneath the chin with one bent finger, lifting your face ever so slightly and as his lips captured yours, you smiled. âYou arenât going anywhere come morning, you know.â
He broke the teasing kiss to gaze down at you. âIs that so?â
âIt is,â you nodded, âbecause you have some very real making up to me to do. And Iâm fairly certain it will take longer than a few hours."
âMaking up to you, you say?â One dark brow arched and his smile grew wicked with promise. âI think thatâs fair enough.â

The stream is broadcasting from a new room today. A very large in ground pool that was indoors somewhere. There are different oceanic murals on the walls visible to the camera, and strings of lights seen strung along the ceiling, shifting between some colors. Some beach-themed music was playing from a speaker somewhere.
Raph and Leo are the only ones streaming today. Both of their models were visibly only wearing color-coded patterned swim shorts. Raph was leaning against one edge of the poo with his shell mostly facing the camera. Leo was floating around in a unicorn pool ring.
The two were just sharing stories back and forth about how things were going at their Day Jobs. Talking about plans that they were making, and the odd people they had to interact with recently.
Leo lets out a laugh, "I know it sounds crazy, but this lady was yelling at the Boneman, and claiming she got permission to hold Her wedding in His restaurant. Like she sure didn't know he was the owner. So he kicked her out, and told her that she and her party were banned until further notice."
Raph is slightly shaking from trying to not laugh out loud.
Then River suddenly surfaced next to Leo's floaty.
"Thank You Shadow_Surf for the $5, 'Speaking of Weddings, I was rewatching some of your VODs, and noticed that the stories about the Wedding don't add up. Why change the story?" She read off the notification, and then dived back into the water.
Leo lifted himself up a bit to look at Raph,"Wait, what did you tell, them happened at the wedding?" He askes while still trying to reposition without falling into the water, by flipping or through the hole.
Raph thought it over for a sec, "Well I think I left out me catching the bouquet, and just mentioned the fight for the second toss. I think Nocturne really tried to kill someone during the second go."
Leo did fall through the ring, and after a few seconds resurfaced next to Raph, "Wait, so you didn't tell them that Fuego was purposefully trying to get Mm-Star to catch the bouquet!! Why? Everyone was practically asking when's the wedding!" He shouts while splashing water into Raphs face.
Raph dunked Leo and pushes him away while shaking the water off him head. "And that's why I didn't. I didn't want to pull away from Fuegos Day. Sure she may've started it, but I didn't want to pull the attention to Us." Raph says with a sigh and a shake of his head.
Leo kinda pouts, "Well excuse me for getting excited, that my Big Bro might get married before Me. I swear you guys make the cutest couple! I can't wait for the wedding~" Leo teased.
Raph gave a huff while smiling, "Well I'm sure my little Bro will be Walking Down the Aisle before me. You and Yui will definitely get married before me." He says while rubbing Leo's head, much to said turtles annoyance. "Who's gonna take whose name? You gonna take his, or is he joining our crazy family even in name?" Raph says with a laugh.
Leo shoves Raphs hand from his head with a pout. "We haven't talked about this yet. But we both agreed to have a non-traditional wedding. Watch Mandarin somehow get hitched before either of us." Leo says trying to redirect the conversation.
Raph lets out another laugh, "More like Pops and Barry getting married before anyone else."
Leo pulls a disgusted face, gagging. "NO! Please don't put that image in my head!"
Raph just looks proud with himself, "A bigger surprise would be Dee getting married before everyone, even Apes."
"Dee would only marry for tax benefits, If anything. Though to who is definitely the big question." Leo replies back while swimming back to his pool ring, and tries to get back onto it again. "Let's switch to a different topic, like I heard about you looking into Sports Medicine courses. Tell me about that!"
Raph then proceeded to tell Leo and the audience about some of the lessons he'd already taken through the Wrestling League organizers.
The audience and chat were spamming emojis/emotes while the two talked. Though some were gossiping in fan groups about the new Tea.

part 25 / nair hair removal â
masterlist
warning(s): possible typos (this is not proofread in the slightest :3), profanity
normally it would take someone an average of 10 minutes to get to shinrinyoku flower shop from yĆ«gen universityâs campus on foot. maybe a bit longer if they were leaving the boyâs dormitory.Â
but rintarou suna got there in 5 minutes.Â
âholy shit rin. did you sprint here?â cecily had rushed downstairs when she suddenly heard loud banging against the shophouseâs doors. âlet me go get you some water-â
rin quickly disregarded the offer, completely focused on finding his friend. âyn. where- where is she?â
âupstairs, but-â before cecily could finish her sentence, the drummer pushed passed her and trudged up the buildingâs stairs, ignoring his breathless state.
âhey yn?â his voice was gentle, a heavy contrast to his usual sarcastic diction. âitâs rin. could you let me in, please?âÂ
no response.
âmori said you left practice early without saying anything and you arenât answering the group chat so we got worriedâŠâ
still no response.
while waiting for yn to answer, rin took the time to catch his breath, bringing out his phone to text the rest of the group about ynâs whereabouts: sheâs here at shinrinyoku
as quick responses of 'thank goodnessâ and âweâre on our wayâ came from mori and koushi, cecily ascended the stairs with a glass of water for the junior college student. âyou didnât let me finish. yn ended up crying herself to sleep once we got home,â she turned the doorknob to let her and rin enter the dimly lit room. âI donât know if you know what happened, but thank you for coming either way. I think it would be best if you just wait until she wakes up. are the others on their way?â
fox-like eyes surveyed the sleeping figure that belonged to yn. tears stained her rosy cheeks and a sorrowful expression seemed to lay permanent on her face. his heart ached at the sight before him, wanting nothing more than to find the root of the situation and punch whatever or whoever was responsible. and for some reason, he had a hunch that it was all due to a certain blondâ not atsumu, though someone declaring you left practice early because you had diarrhea is definitely something to cry about because what the fuck dude!Â
âyeah. koushi finished class a few minutes ago so he's probably on his way with mori right now and tooru might be here a little later because he had a modeling gig today.âÂ
âokay then, let me know if you need anything.â cecily placed the cup of water for rin down on ynâs nightstand before quietly slipping away to make dinner.Â
once it was just the two friends in the room, rin walked over to the side of the bed closest to ynâs head and sat down. her hair was disheveled, strands either sticking to her face or sprawled elsewhere. a heavy sigh escaped rinâs lips as he tucked ynâs hair behind her ear, her face now unbothered by the h/c mess. absentmindedly, he continued to comb through ynâs hair as he waited for the others to arrive and as if ynâs body knew who he was, she subconsciously leaned closer to him.
by the time the whole friend group resided in ynâs room, it was nearing 9:30PM.
âokay, so! they ended up not having any whipped creamââ
âno one asked for whipped cream.â
âcan you can it, rintarou. some people like adding a little cream to their cream.â tooru scoffed, slightly glaring as he continued emptying out the grocery bags. âanyways, before I was rudely interrupted, I ended up getting one tub of (ur fav ice cream flavor), another of cookie dough, and..â he rummaged the bottom of the bag, pulling out a small pill bottle and handing it over to yn, âstomach pills.â
yn sat crisscrossed on her bed, blanket wrapped around her and mori who leaned against her figure. a puzzled look painted her face, âoh⊠thank you?â
âatsumu said you had diarrhea,â mori informed, âwe didnât know if he was being for real or not.â
âohmygod. he did not..please tell me he did not.âÂ
koushi nervously laughed at his friendâs worry. âonly if it makes you feel a little bit betterâŠâ
âwhat even happened?â rin asked, eager to find the reason why his friend was now puffy-eyed and sluggish.
yn let out a lengthy whine, falling onto her back as the events with kozume resurfaced her mind in clear detail. tears started to brim her eyes once again as she felt the familiar stinging of her heart. âI thoughtâŠI thought he actually liked me back all this time.â
âoh babyâŠâ koushi immediately stood up from his spot on the floor and joined yn on the bed, his arms instinctively pulling her into a tight hug as she cried onto his shoulder.
âkozume said everything was aâŠmistake. he-â choking back a sob, yn tried to continue despite the constant cracks of her frail voice. âhe looked me in the eyes and said it too!â
âugh! that jerk!â mori shrieked.
âbut he-â
âbut he fucking kissed you. twice.â rin stated, finishing tooru's sentence. âwhat the fuck is he even thinking.â
âyou know what we need to do?â koushi started, rubbing comforting circles on ynâs back.
ârock his shit.â rin declared, arms crossed against his chest.
âsteal his cat.â mori added.
âput nair hair removal in his shampoo and conditioner bottles so he slowly balds. then we secretly steal his hair and make a voodoo doll out of it.â tooru finished, nodding to himself.
âwait I like that idea.â rin and mori unanimously agreed.
the gray-haired senior pursed his lips, wondering how many paychecks he'd need to pay for all three of the boyâs therapies. âuhm⊠all good ideas class, but I was going to say let all our emotions out and forget about kozume tonight.â he motioned to the defrosting tubs of ice cream on the floor which the group momentarily forgot about.
rin, mori, and tooru all slowly let out a slow âahh yeahâ, not having anything to say against koushi who was the most level-headed in the group.
âmaybe next timeâŠâ tooru mumbled, mentally noting his idea.
yn let out a weak laugh at her friendâs antics. âI think that'd be the easiest option for now. thank you guys for coming, I donât know what Iâd do without you.â
âaw, of course, baby.â koushi grinned, pulling the girl back into a hug. he motioned for the others to join them and they all complied without another thought.
âoh but guys,â yn spoke up, earning several hums. âyou cannot let my brother know about any of this.â the request caused the friends to break away from the hug, confused as to why the only other person besides yn who could knock some sense into kozume couldnât be informed of the situation. âitâs just⊠with the game coming up, I donât want the team to turn to shit because one of the co-captains suddenly canât cooperate with the main setter.â
mori clicked his tongue, feeling conflicted with ynâs choice. âokay⊠I understand where youâre coming from but whatâre you gonna do when your brother does find out? I mean, heâs not dumb.â
âmoriâs right.â rin chimed. âhe might start getting suspicious with your change of attitude towards kozume and start piecing things together.â
yn groaned. she knew her friends were right. tetsurou could read her like a book, he is her brother after all. and having been friends with kozume since childhood, he would probably start asking questions when he sees the lack of interaction between the two, especially after the conversation they had during practice. âthis is so shit. just give me the tub before I end it.â

So I read Haitch's take on you in the garden from a previous Inbox and it made me laugh and got me thinking about how I see Haitch and here's what I came up with. Tell me if I'm wrong.
So I see this tall woman who looks really severe and sharp, maybe like a cross librarian or something, but you think she's mean and she turns out to be really sweet and laughs all the time and takes care of the babies.
I see her struggling to spend time alone or be alone and maybe is one to bother an introvert when they need downtime, but then feels really bad about it and is really apologetic and tries to make it up to them, but secretly waits for them to refill their Social/People Juice and then she will 100% be all on them again. Like, a good in small doses person (in the most loving way).
I think she's extra loud, need headphones kinda extra loud. Ear defenders I mean. Point stands. Life of the party and tries to force people to dance with her.
She said she's curvy and has long legs and I'm picturing a sort of Ashley Graham (a model and I am not sure if you know her).
She bakes and writes and drinks wine a lot and I am picturing a secret heavy day drinker. Copes with hard days with the kids with wine?? Understandable and I get it.
I can see her booping about with a baby (I think you have a baby) on her waist and trying to get other shit done while feeding the baby his bottle and the house is total mayhem.
She is a boxers/boy shorts underwear girl and I can feel it in my soul.
These are my Haitch Headcanons and I might be TOTALLY OFF lmao just tell me. I must know the deets.
She also recently just said in an ask that she's a bit critical of her personality but thinks she reads people really well, would you agree?? Examples???
Haitch is a dark flower that blooms startlingly. If my resting face is angry, hers is morose, until you catch her eye and are then blessed with a warm and twinkly-eyed smile that draws you in. She is immediately kind and welcoming and warm towards people, carving out space and time to include everyone and anyone in whatever she is doing.
She's getting better at taking time for herself, but we do used to have problems where I needed my own company and she needed to be around people so you're partially right there. I will say, though, that I'm a special case as she is usually very respectful towards introverts needing their own space and time.
No, she's not very loud, and she doesn't dance.
I did a quick Google, and no - not really. Her body shape is unique, but I won't describe it as she'd never forgive me.
She isn't a secret day drinker, or a heavy drinker - neither of us are.
Definitely doesn't wear boxers, and never has.
Haitch is eerily good at figuring people out, and also has no qualms with calling people out on their crap. I won't be giving examples.

Some time ago, before I cut contact with my dad, I would often contemplate his mindset. Not of why he was so lackluster in all manners of fatherhood but about his unbiased, objective few of me as a girl and, now, a woman.
On some obligatory level, I know my dad loves me. I think his perspective of what makes someone a âgood Christianâ demands this of him. And in a small percentage of the time we spent together, he might love me for the child he knew. And to hear that a father loses interest in his daughter when she grows up/develops the ability to defy and to think is not a new experience. There were telltale signs of it coming so I was fully prepared. But I expected a casual indifference when we got to the point we are now. He would lie about me to the family and retain his desperate image of a father âtrying his best.â Like I said, I saw it coming years before.
But it didn't really play like that. Because while he definitely began to detach, there was this frustration and rage in his eyes when he spoke to me. When I called him out. When I didn't just shrug off what he said. He was so angry when I threatened to stop talking to him for a while and followed through. As a child, he couldn't understand why I chose to live with my mom in a homeless shelter over staying with him and his now ex-wife. And there are a handful of family facts and personal history that I won't just spill but I know for a fact play a part in this. I was more interested in his objective perspective of me, like I said.
And to be frank? My dad loves me in a very superficial way, but in no way likes me. My family is the type that say âblood is thicker than waterâ no matter what. Generations of abuse and neglect founded on the back of ârespectâ that is inherited rather than earned. My mom was the first to make me challenge that, and I think my dad resents her for that to this day.Â
When I was younger, I considered him cool. Especially since he seemed supportive of my feminist ideology that I garnered very early on by just being with my mom. My thoughts then and now? How can a woman's place only be by a man's side when my mom has given me as much of the world as she can without one? I just wasn't buying. But he always told me he wanted me to be independent and strong. So I can give him that credit. No one in my life ever told me I couldn't be whatever I wanted to be, and that is a real blessing I don't take lightly.
But his support had a veil of contrasting expectations. I didn't have to wear makeupâŠbut I should have my hair pressed or braided. I could wear pants instead of skirtsâŠbut you need to ask your mom to teach you how to shave. The role models he thrusted upon me were strong figures still deeply layered under a presentation that was appealing, especially to him. To him, they were still âwomen.â Strong but ever willing to submit.Â
And his support always came with imaginings. When I inevitably became rich, he would joke that I could get him things. When I won a writing award as a kid, he didn't drive me home for twenty minutes until he finished boasting to his friend about me. He thought I was the most intelligent person he'd ever met. If I could just stop being so disagreeable and more presentable then the world would be my oyster.
And as an adult, hearing him speak, I could finally understand why my average intelligence seemed like such a world shattering achievement. Because to my father, I was intelligent in spite of being born female. I immediately thought back to all his interactions with women. How they were either dismissive or lewd. How he rolled his eyes when my stepmom would demand basic respect from him. And I'd laugh with him. [Go ahead and insert infamous quote about how it will not save the daughter.]
His perception of women was secondary. Adam's rib. He wanted to raise me as Eve and felt (and feels) cursed that he was bound by blood to Lilith. And the only Christian thing to do is spend the rest of his life trying to change me. And when I came out, that thin smile of support from him told me that he felt his ability to control not just slipping, but being yanked. I did not recognize men as authority. His only card he had and has left is that we are bound forever by blood.
But I don't care about blood. The water of strangers and women in my life and in this community has carried me further in life than blood ever has or, at this point, ever will.Â

Danny Phantom (and technically optional crossover) Prompt
Imagine, if you will, a not-aging Danny Fenton. Thereâs about a dozen ways to do this, but in this caseâDanny still has a human lifespan, he just looks human (though, I wonât argue against any immortal Dannys). As Fenton, heâs just stuck at fourteen. Phantom, being a ghost whose appearance is based on what he sees himself as, does look older. By this point, heâs probably retired from superheroicsâI just find unphased and jaded 18 year old Danny to be hilarious. So, heâs just like âI wanna go to collegeâ.
So he does. He just. Always looks 14. His hair grows, he can build muscle, and he can definitely have dark eyesâbut otherwise? Short ass 14 year old. He constantly has to prove that yes, heâs the real Danny Fenton, and no, this is not a scam. He eventually has to get meta-specific paperwork filled outâno need for the genetic test if the power is fairly obvious. (Of course, itâs possible to do this AU as not crossover, but then youâll have to do the legwork of making it less odd that someone has superpowers, and whether that means everyone knows heâs Phantom, which might change some of the issues. It also doesnât have to be DC, for instance, you could use Marvel or even My Hero Academiaâultimately, up to the writer.)
Anyways, he gets his degree(s), enters the workforce, and by the Ancients is it hard to be taken seriously. Even people who see his paperwork and know for a fact heâs a full fledged adult are just like, aw, poor kid, canât even reach the top cabinets without stretching or climbing. So, while he could just keep being the most qualified 14-looking-adult, heâs quickly getting sick of it. He canât even be a school teacher, none of his students will take him seriously! Not even the younger ones, cause even the other teachers arenât respecting him.
There are about⊠three options available to him, up to whoever wants to pick up this sort of prompt.
1-he gets into acting or modeling. Or perhaps, stunt acting. And everyone is just a bit unnerved about how absolutely none of the nonsense seems to get to him, and heâs just⊠a little *too* bendy sometimes. Heâd make a great scare actor, if he wasnât terrible at scaring people.
2-he goes into the work force as Phantom in a cheap wig and terrible contacts. Half the time, he forgets at least one contact. Cue mystery of who the hell this guy is, because, for ONCE, someone actually paid attention to the paperwork and knows that he DOESNâT look like THAT.
3-he tries to get work in a slightly more remote position, where his colleagues are few to none. Of course, that is, until some hero or another such professional has to meet him in person, and gets one hell of a shock about who their expert on the computer has been all this time.
Thereâs of course the undercurrent of Dannyâs experiences as a teen hero, so sometimes absolutely wild situations show up, and his stories are like, super weird. He thinks at least SOME of his experiences must be universal, and theyâre⊠really, really not. The outlandish stories donât help the whole ânot taken seriousâ thing, but then they turn out to be true. Bonus points to rogues or ghosts showing up to say hi and everyone is like WAS THAT A FUCKING DRAGON?! And Dannyâs just like âyeah she was a beauty pageant coordinator in my hometown, we kept in touch. I helped put her brother in jailâ. As if that did NOT just raise more questions than before.
Of course, use or donât use what you want (such as, he does keep a public-ish position, or he just goes full villain to prove a point, or even somehow starts working undercover at schools and summer camps for xyz reasons, whether or not the Justice League finds him, what his degree(s) weee even in, etc etc), I just think that Forever Teen Danny stories are interesting.
Basically⊠itâs reverse Shazam, haha.
#prompt#danny phantom#danny phantom crossover#idk if this made sense but I tend to get crossover ideas often. and the phandom is very flexible#this particular one has so many different branches and ways to go that I didnât even list them all.#go. be free. be wild. surprise me#does he work in tech support in Japan Heroics after either being isekaiâd or because American law is so different that he was legally fine?#is he an alternative energy scientist for the Justice league?#does he appear on vogue magazine?#whose to say?#whoever feels like picking this up I guess lmao

Get to Know...Lyanna Stark
This beautiful magazine cover was created by @foxyanon as a companion piece to our SMAU collab The Lives of Friends with myself, @foxyanon, @legitalicat and @thenameswinter99 (fic blog @thenameswinterfics).
Words: 1418
Interview below the cut!
R: Rila Baratheon of Crown Couture here, catching up with the wonderful Lyanna Stark! Letâs get started, we know weâre going to be in for some fun and honesty!
Lyanna, nice to see you again!
L: And nice to see you! Itâs been far too long.
R: Last time I saw you, you were surrounded by what looked like half a storeâs worth of tulle, so Iâm glad to see you looking a little more casual.
Lyanna laughs.
R: So, letâs get into it. What prompted you to head down the fashion path?
L: Oh, where to begin! My sister will probably tell you, Iâve been obsessed with dressing up since I was small. Stealing her dresses, or even our motherâs when I could get my hands on them. Spending hours putting together looks and demanding she take photo after photo of me.
Once, I got a little too adventurous and basically destroyed one of her dressesâŠwhich I am not actually sure she knew aboutâŠ
Sorry Alisanne!
R: Hey, little sisters are supposed to annoy the older ones, Iâm sure sheâs forgiven you by now. So you preferred being in front of the camera over behind it?
L: Definitely, Iâd spend ages posing and snapping photos. And then, at about 17 I heard about an opening for young models at Crown and Co Modeling Agency and I just couldnât pass that up. I had seen all their shoots, I probably even had photos pinned to my wall.Â
It was hard work, but I put the effort in and got my first shoot not long after I turned 18 and well, here I am!
R: Did your family and friends support your choice?
L: They were so good about it. Weâre a close family, so when it comes to something we love, our parents are amazing. Dad would drive me to shoots until I got a car, Mum helped me style myself for my Agency interview.Â
Cregan and Alisanne are the best siblings anyone could ask for. I have no idea what Iâd do without them.Â
R: What challenges have you faced?
L: I will never pretend being a model is easy. Thereâs so much work involved that people donât see. Itâs not all fancy clothes and exotic shoots.Â
R: But you make it all look so effortless?Â
L: Oh, you flatter me! Thatâs practice. At the start, the hours would exhaust me. When I pictured it as a kid, I thought Iâd be getting paid to dress up and pose. But thereâs so much more.
Not all shoots are easy. I donât get along with all the shoot runners, other models, or photographers. It comes with the territory. Not everyone works well together, but thatâs life.
R: It sounds like thereâs more work than people think. People think models are just like living mannequins, paid to look pretty and pose, but youâve proved time and time again thereâs so much more.
Are there any industry secrets you could share?
L: Without getting myself in troubleâŠ
R: Not the fun kind of trouble anyway!
Lyanna throws out a little side eye and a laugh before continuing.
L: Fun trouble is the best trouble.Â
But yeah, if people ask I remind them itâs still a job. It might look glamorous, but there are days where shoots can take hours and it's almost always people pulling on you, positioning you just so.Â
Like one time, I was doing a shoot for Dior, and the director of the shoot decided we were going to be doing time lapses of the moon. It was six hours of standing perfectly still while everyone and everything moved around me.Â
It might not sound a lot, but it really can take its toll.
R: I love how honest you are about it. Itâs so refreshing to see!
L: Iâd rather keep it open, I want any fans I have to know me as I am. I wonât hide or bullshit.
R: And thatâs why we love you!
R: So, bringing us back to something lighter. What was a significant moment in your fashion career?
L: Thereâs been so many âwow I actually got to do that momentsâ but the one that will forever stick out the most was my first big label gig with Louis Vuitton. It was like a dream getting that phone call.Â
They were looking for a really specific look, back when I was still a little into my âalt girlâ era, and apparently I fit that. I wasnât a big name by any means, I was still pretty green in terms of experience. But thatâs what they wanted.Â
Honestly, I feel like if it wasnât for that shoot, I wouldnât be where I am now. And Iâm forever grateful.
R: I remember that shoot! I was just starting out as an intern and the shoot was beautiful. The clothes, the aesthetics. Iâm pretty sure we talked about it for months in the office, and now Iâve got its star in front of me!
L: Oh, stop it! Iâm still building my name and I feel like I will be forever. Thereâs never an end and I love it.
R: Speaking ofâŠwhat motivates you to keep going?
L: Are we going with life in general or at work? Because the answers are basically the same.
R: Roll with whatever makes you comfortable.
L: My friends and my family. They are honestly some of the best people in the world. There arenât words that could describe how much I love them, Iâd have to invent new ones.
Whenever I have a rubbish day, I can always count on any and all of them to tell me to chill out and not let it bother me. Plus, my big man Winter, my cat, the best therapy a girl could ask for.
And Als makes me cake, who can have a bad day when you have cake on tap!
R: I wouldnât trust anyone who could still be down after that!Â
L: But seriously, every single one of them are the best humans in existence.
R: Youâre so lucky, honestly. Not many people can say that about those close to them.
And while weâre on the topic of your personal lifeâŠÂ
What does your day-to-day look like?
L: I always start the morning with breakfast with my sister if I can. It keeps us grounded and sets us up for the day.
If Iâm on a shoot, then Iâm usually up early - thereâs never a lie in on a shoot day. But I always keep busy, between the fittings, travel, itâs never a quiet day on a shoot.
But on off days, Iâll do as little as possible. Iâll spend most of it with any combination of friends and family. Rhaeâs museum is always a go to, sheâs killed it over there and Iâll never get tired of wandering around it.
R: Just for those who donât know, Rhae is Rhaenerys Targaryen?
L: Yeah, the sister in law who feels more like a sister. I canât remember a time where she wasnât in my life.
And if Iâm not there, Iâm either at Alsâ bakery, bothering Daenyra when sheâs painting or getting some animal therapy at Creganâs sanctuary.
R: Wow, you really have no shortage of places to go. Itâs so nice to get that little sneak peek into the other side of you.
L: I try to keep as open as I can. Anyone who sees my instagram will know that!
R: Speaking of open and instagram, thereâs a certain someone who appears quite often?
L: I have tons of pics with people, you could mean anyone.
Lyanna seems a little more serious.
R: I know everyone will be disappointed if I donât ask about one in particular. Whatâs going on between you and Aemond Targaryen?
L: Aemondâs a good guy. Weâve known each other for so long and heâs a comfort person for me. Thereâs not much else to say.
R: Some of those posts look a lot more than friendly, and heâs a good-looking guy soâŠ
L: Look, Iâm happy. That should be enough for people.
The interview draws to a close as Lyanna shuts down.
R: Okay, thank you to Lyanna as always. I promised fun and honesty and you delivered!
L: My pleasure, I always enjoy the chance to open up when I want to.
R: Stay tuned for Lyannaâs next appearance, we all know it will be a good one!

Alright, what's your opinion about Nihil's relationship with the rest of his kid's mother(s)? And what role did Sister have in their lives growing up?
First off Iâm so sorry for taking so long to answer thisđ I had half of it written down but had to think harder about it and completely forgot. Iâm starting this off by saying all of my thoughts are based off of my own aus/speculation. Anyways with that being saidâŠ
Nihilâs relationship with baby mamas 1-3 is non-existent at best. In RHRN Nihil says that heâs almost 80 so I place him as being born in â44 which MEANS that he was a young father (25 yrs old in KTGG and already had 3 children). Like. Very young. In my hcs I think that Primoâs mother was a high school sweetheart of Nihilâs, Iâd speculate in their junior/senior year. It was probably just dumb love and not really any substance, probably would not have gone anywhere after graduation (at a fault of Nihilâs) but sweet nonetheless. Until the pregnancy obviously because an unmarried teenage girl in the 60s??? I think she carried Primo to term (pressured from family) but after giving birth, essentially dropped off the face of the Earth and left baby Primo with a 17 year old Nihil. It was less so a purposeful act of abandonment and more like desperate parents pushing for their daughter to live an actual life that didnât include being ostracized. Sucks for Primo and single teen dad Nihil but for Primoâs mom this is somewhat of a win! She feels guilt from time to time and thinks about what her baby is up to but overall? Sheâs content with the life she made for herself after it all and wouldnât trade it for the world.
BABY MAMA TWOđŁïž Also dgaf about her baby, so sorry Secondo. I do think the case with Secondoâs mother is a lot more tragic than any of the other mothers because she was just in the worst position prior to getting pregnant and things really only got worse from there. She was probably just some girl who met Nihil at a bar by chance and these two were just absolutely never meant to come across each other. At this point I think on both ends thereâs a good deal with substance reliance brewing because of the constant partying and drugs which is putting a strain on the relationship (which is more like a dependency really) and the pregnancy is kind of the last straw. She doesnât want a baby at all, has no interest in a life with children or settling and isnât ready for any of that- isnât even sure if sheâd want that with Nihil of all people anyways. I think Nihil pushed for her to carry out the pregnancy thinking that it might save the relationship or do something with the mess they had because heâs stupid and naive and surely another baby wouldnât hurt, right? So she does in fact give birth to Secondo, whoâs got a good deal of respiratory issues at birth and only pushes her away from the idea of caring from him more. She doesnât even stick around long enough to heal up completely, gone within a few days of the birth with some friend before Secondo makes it out of the NICU. It takes her some time to manage the postpartum depression and everything else she has in her plate but I do think after a good while she does sober up and learns to cope with everything that had happened. At the end of the day, itâs all like a bad dream to her and the memories are all fuzzy. Nihil attempts to find her for a while after Secondo is born but nothing ever turns up. Sheâs off in the next state over and doesnât ever think about the baby she had, definitely doesnât wish things
Baby mama: TRES. Okay so technically we only know about this one because Tobias wanted to include his mommy and if he was asked in an interview today he would completely forget what he said about this matter years ago. SO. I think baby mama #3 was an aspiring actress or model- I tend to imagine her being similar to Olga Baclanova, at least for a face claim. Anyways whatever, Nihil and baby mama 3 are both very ambitious at this point and they genuinely seem compatible. Between working dead end jobs and trying to make something of themselves, theyâre actually pretty affectionate and things are looking up (at least compared to the last two). Theyâre well off for the time being but then SURPRISE. The man that doesnât know what a condom is had helped create yet another unplanned baby. Who wouldâve guessed. Itâs exciting at first but in the way that it feels like playing house- theyâll have their flat, their baby, and their dream careers! But give or take a few months and she quickly realizes what a damper this is going to put on everything she had planned for herself and the fantasy in her head is falling apart. Sheâs falling out of love, sheâs realizing that her life will need to change drastically to fit a child in it, and she knows that nothing can be the same. The difference between baby mamas 1-2 and baby mama 3 is that she is at a place in life where she is willing to take on motherhood and actually does want to be a mother. Sure, she didnât expect it to come so soon but she does love and want Terzo. She waits until a while after Terzo is born to break up with Nihil, didnât want to push him away during the pregnancy out of fear that he would completely deny Terzo a spot in his life. The split is fairly clean and it ends up as a split custody sort of arrangement which really depends on what the parents have going on as opposed to a healthy routine for Terzo. Nihil and baby mama #3 still get along fairly well and kept in contact up until Terzo was around 13 when they figured he could make the arrangements himself (where he tends to choose his mother over Nihil). Thereâs no bad blood but itâs sort of like a lingering sadness and âwhat ifâs though thereâs no real desire for that ending- theyâre both happy with where theyâve ended up in life and got to live out their dreams, even if just for a short while. Side note, Terzoâs mother gave up the acting gig after birth and settled for modeling which later turned to visual arts when she eventually couldnât keep up with that lifestyle.
Iâve got to keep it real with you here, I donât think Sister Imperator ever cared to have any sort of relationship with Nihilâs children and didnât ever attempt to take up any sort of âstep-momâ role in their lives. Sister doesnât come across as someone deeply interested in caring for homemaking or having children or anything of the like. Given the very current politics surrounding womenâs rights and the feminist movement at the time combined with growing up in the satanic church, it just doesnât seem like something that would ever call to her. She sees Nihilâs children as tools for the clergy in the kindest way she possibly could, I guess? Sister knows the basics of childcare and development and wants their needs to be met- so theyâre well enough to later take on their clergy duties. I donât even think she would do all that well with reprimanding them which is something she excels in usually (verbally abusing people is one of her favorite pastimes). She expects Nihil to be a father to them and their sole caregiver but also expects a great deal of Nihilâs time as a partner. Sister is a 25 year old, unmarried, and childless woman so of course sheâs going to want to live her life to the fullest and free of distractions. She may feel pity towards Primo and Secondo at times because she sees her own childhood in their experiences (absent mother, semi-neglectful/absent father) as opposed to Terzo (present/loving mother and a father in his life). Itâs not enough to make her motherly towards them but itâs something that they feel and she figures thatâs enough.
TLDR: Everyone involved was just too young and stupid and selfish to gaf and did not have the generosity required to bring a child (or several) into their lives.
#obviously mamas 1-3 are just my ocs since tobias definitely dgaf about that stuff so just keep that in mind#mothers who donât want to be mothers my beloved#waow sorry for the feminist sister rant thatâs always on my brain AKXJWKCJDKJ#she dgaf about children if anything she would have Only wanted to have a child with nihil bc of the bloodline#sister doesnât Hate children necessarily she just doesnât know how to handle them#nihil has the worst luck ever basically because HOW do 2/3 of ur baby mamas not want anything to do with you or the baby#heinous shit going on i tell u#ghost#sister imperator#papa nihil#primo#terzo#secondo#papa iv#ramblings#i should make a tag for moms 1-3#baby mamas#yeah. thatâll do#đ
