I love academia because everyone has loud parasocial beef with a specific scholar over a completely asinine point. like yeah that's my future colleague kevin, he thinks Alexander the Great is a fascist. i would deck him in the face if i could.

went take midterm in professor's office, using talker, hadn't met professor in person before so was unsure how would react to talker

and was SO SO GOOD ABOUT IT

didn't ask questions or make comments, didn't guess what saying or look at screen, didn't be impatient while selfves typed, didn't say to put talker away while taking test, didn't mind tapping chair to get attention since not speaking

AND

someone walked away while selfves still typing AND HE CALLED THEM BACK!!!! he called them back and told them we were still typing!!!! THIS IS SO SO SO GOOD
