this is the first time i’ve been in a fandom where i haven’t seen ANYONE else come up with the same theory as me, but what if Crystal is a descendant of Death? Her powers flow through her family line but they had to have started somewhere right? What if that place was death? It makes sense descendants of death could see and interact with ghosts, and psychics have always been associated with death, since they’re most commonly depicted seeing visions of people’s untimely demise. It just makes sense to me.

Maybe that’s another reason why death has never tried to come for the Ghost Boys? Because she knew their destinies were intertwined with her descendant.
