we're Technically at the end of chapter 4 ! there's going to be a bit of a wait before we get to chapter 5 though which includes drawing an extra comic in-between , cleaning up this blog and making the masterpost + updating the character lineup .

In your rewrite, do Felix and Turbo happen to have history together? Or is Felix just extremely hyper fixated on the Turbo lore? (Kind of like a true crime addict)

In short? They have history! I love Hammertastic as toxic exes (on both ends) but I’m not gonna push that narrative since it’s not inherently canon. Basically in the rewrite it can be read as “used to be friends” or “oh. Goodness. The narrative between them they tried to erase but it haunts them like a ghost from their past” etc etc.

((ALL OF THIS LORE EXPLAINED IS MY HEADCANON aka my truth lol YOU DONT HAVE TO VIEW THEM LIKE THIS! ESPECIALLY IN TERMS OF MY REWRITE! I will never force a perspective. For example, Ralph and Turbo know each other in my rewrite too, if you wanna imagine Demolition Derby instead of Hammertastic that’s cool too!))

Felix is NOT fixated on Turbo at all. Even barely remotely interested in him as a concept anymore. But back in the day they bonded over being neighbors and protagonists of their games (Turbo was kinda focused on how Felix ‘won medals’ and found that as mutual ground to stand on. Felix just thought Turbo needed to talk to someone and stepped in 😭)

This horribly started a relationship! Nothing out in the open, despite Turbo being vocal about all of his ‘wins’ (this basically means he didn’t see Felix as a prize to be won). As much as Turbo is painted in a bad light and was the openly toxic one, Felix isn’t blameless. Felix constantly dodged issues, half way viewing a “Just don’t let it bother you!” Mindset which clashed with Turbo’s “confront the system” mindset. Basically whenever Turbo had a problem it was swept under the rug, and nothing was discussed. Whenever Felix had an issue Turbo was either gung ho on confronting whoever caused it (more for his own self image rather than actually HELPING felix) or could half ass trying to convince Felix he is the best (of his game, at least) and would offer to take Felix on a drive to take his mind off of it (Felix never took this offer. Claimed driving ‘scared’ him. Cough no he just didn’t wanna do it cough)

This isn’t to say they didn’t get along or didn’t have a basis for a relationship. Felix cared, and Turbo isn’t heartless (at this point in time at least). The King Candy persona was not out of the blue, Turbo was always silly and ridiculous when he wanted to be (I just forget to draw it LOL) and Felix found all of his antics to be hilarious. I also think this is works well bc Felix never meets King Candy in WIR :] coulda made some connections…

ANYWAYS! All that to say “erm. Maybe!” Teehee I love thinking about them <3 they do end up seeing each other again in the rewrite and ohh!! Boy!!! But that’s for another time

realizing i literally just said i was thinking about it yesterday, but when i was messing around on namicomi you need to get the comic approved first and i didn't realize it would publish it immediately after approval 😱 so i guess that made up my mind for me more quickly than i thought as i would feel silly to delete it, so i went ahead afterwards and uploaded all 10 current episodes (making the tweaks for the uncensored pages) SO it's live on namicomi now as well, if you'd prefer to read it there or just interested in checking out the uncensored version (so many fucks LOLOL):

Still thinking about the pon farr bit in Killing Time and not at all curious about how that made the corrected timeline Spock and Kirk feel.

The book says that Spock can sense the bonds he has, and that there’s one too far away (Kirk) and a closer one (Thea), and gives Kirk like. Pon farr sympathy pains? Which is probably meant to imply it’s the more legitimate bond?

I saw Nosferatu. The yandereness 😈 personally I didn’t vibe with the way he looked, call me a coward but I draw the line at maggots, so he won’t be making it on my hear me out list anytime soon but I’m not a judger, I fully support Count Orlok lovers and I’m happy for you! That being said, call me crazy but give me a yandere vampire Keanuverse character au where he gives us three nights to submit and curses a whole town with a plague that will only lift if we offer ourselves willingly to him. That’s the kind of yandere I yearn for. Bonus points for another Keanuverse character as our husband because Thomas is the unsung hero of Nosferatu. In fact, Jonathan Harker this is your time to shine, my friend! The scene where Orlok possesses Ellen and makes her tell Thomas that he could never satisfy her the way Orlok does and then he just grabs her and starts fucking her I LOVE IT GIVE ME 14 OF THEM!

I can't express how much I love this quote. It's probably one of my favourite quotes in all literature. I've never asked myself if a portrait was faithful and yet, I won't be disappointed to learn that instead of being faithful and realistic, it is the painter's view. Nothing is beautiful, not objectively. We give beauty to things. If we love something, it'll be beautiful. As soon as we hate it, it becomes ugly. I don't find the Mona Lisa attractive, but I can tell she was loved by the way Vinci painted her. I love how art can give anything to everything.

I personally like this one because I used to be obsessed with Antinoüs. Also, Dorian Gray is more than a man Basil loves. Dorian Gray is a muse, a turning point in the painter's career. He's everything for the man and the artist. And he has no clue about it.

The man is egocentric. You can't write about someone else, you'll always put yourself into characters, whether you're aware of it or not. Your painting will always be a reflection of what you feel about what you see and not realistically what you see. But, can we really create something beautiful when beauty is anything but objective?

Lord Henry Wotton, they will never make me hate you. I love every philosophical/piece of advice he tells Basil and Dorian. He's so right about it. If you tell me your first thought after heartbreak wasn't "I will never fall in love again" or "I will close my heart forever" or even "I don't think love exists", I won't believe you.

I wish I could read Chapter 2 right now but it's too late for my little brain
