I got a question that I was kinda curious about genzou and I hope u don’t mind me asking!! but since canonically genzou is blind because of the accident in OW, what happened to genzou for him to lose sight in broomtail?? since like ykk he just met iggy he didn’t know him before, it’s fine if u don’t want to answer I just got curious >3< 💗

ohhhh that's a good question but one I can't actually answer as it's something that will be an actual plot point in the future ���� so it would quite undermine it to simply say it here. genzou's whole backstory including that is something that will be explored as part of the plot 👀 (iggy's too!)

Yk carrot, the plot of OW (this thought came to me after reading iggy-behaviors ask:33) feels structured like a whole ass FEVER DREAM

It constantly goes from one plot thingy to another, like in fever dreams where I find they always stray from one plot point to another, except somehow OW executed the fever dream esque shit perfectly w/ the finest, ripest and RICHEST story telling I've EVER had the pleasure of reading

(Fear I will never stfu abt Our Wonderland considering the fact it helped me have smth to look toward to at some point in my life)

the game does read as rather dream-like thinking about it. like how strange some of the things are. the parts that feel like twisted versions of reality. and the loops in general how they get progressively more different and twisted

also the whole wishes coming true thing and the childishness of that

I've never really thought of it before but it definitely has those qualities!! (the bright colors maybe help too perhaps LOL)

thank you so much already for 650+ views and 75 subscribers on broomtail!! i'm honored (and honestly feeling very sappy) at the lovely response my first foray into comic creation has gone ;-; 💕

thanks to the wonderful response (and my own continued hyperfixation) I've decided to continue it at least for a while longer! though at a... decidedly less intense pace so I don't completely obliterate myself LOL and so I can also work on other stuff at the same time, too! so look forward to more eps soon! (i'll perhaps figure out a good schedule once i see what my general pace will be like on an episode basis)

i'm thinking about it!! i didn't want to post to more than one site at first given this whole thing started as just a little fun side project. but now that i'm actively thinking about keeping it going, i am indeed thinking of maybe also publishing elsewhere... (so as not to put all my eggs in one basket, as it were)

it would likely be other comic-hosting sites such as globalcomix, etc. rather than here... tumblr is...... not a good place to post webcomics 🤣 not only difficult to read, organize, and all that, but especially since with how i use screentones, i've never been able to guess how they would turn out when i post screentoned images on tumblr (literally every time i've posted an image, it's ended up looking different from how it looks in CSP, often with really horrible moire). with webtoon (and hopefully the other comic sites) i've been able to know it will post fine and consistently with every page and it looks good in the app...

anyways, we'll see!

I LOVED THE COMIC, IS LIKE, WOWW!! IS THIS REAL??! IM NOT DREAMING?? AHHHHH, but, I love seeing Iggy defending himself (That's why Arc 3 is my favorite besides the Arc 5) Is so lovely that If he wants, he can be a person to respect and he's not the best at fighting but he'll try to do it if the occasion calls for it. I have this little idea from the comic where Iggy was probably a calm kid living in a chaotic environment that he'd learn how to fight or al least, know how to return attacks.

LOL i'm glad you liked that. i've always kinda thought as iggy (even just in general) as someone who would run from things first, but if backed into a corner, would just become unhinged HAHAHA (i suppose almost like the ending of arc 2 in a way now that i think about it...)

i do have some ideas for the broomtail!versions of their backstories/backgrounds already! they're a bit different than in OW as i want things to fit best for the story, scenario, and path i want to take with all of them without being limited to other (e.g., the main) universe. but they're the type of things that need to be revealed along the path of the story

Just wondering(and feel free to ignore this if you’re feeling overwhelmed with everything going on, ie the remaster, broomtail, anything else you may or may not be planning with the holiday season coming up, or anything in your personal life, just ignore this if it’s causing you stress :<), since we know Iggy’s getting new sprites, and we’ve seen a remaster of an Orlam sprite, are any of the other characters aside from Iggy getting completely new sprites? Like, I don’t mean remasters of existing sprites, I mean new sprites with new expressions, that kinda thing

hmmm... 🤔 there's not a whole lot? I drew a brand new sprite for Hunar for the BBQ scene. and I've completely redrawn all of Orlam's "extra" sprites, as in, the completely different poses he has during his scenes in arcs 1 and 2

but the rest of them have been all just touchups of the existing sprites as far as I can remember

there hasn't really been a need to completely redo many sprites, it was usually only if I felt the original was really egregious lol. also the original couldn't have too many variations/outfits because it would be considerably more work then to completely redraw everything. It already took hours just touching up the sprites with hundreds of variations and expressions 😂

so no in general there are not a lot that will be completely new, just the ones I've mentioned

Broomtail is looking absolutely amazing! Hope you get to continue it(no pressure). Really refreshed my enthusiasm for Genzy(always liked it ofc with their various dynamic It’s just been a while since I thought about them together is all) and auqhsidhsudhsjsjs they’re so 🥺

But yeah, the art is STUNNING(as always!!!) I really really love all the little details

one thing I've really loved about this format is the range of things I get to draw, which somehow makes everything feel so much more visceral (at least to me as the creator maybe) and also the kinds of details I can include, so it's really been a lot of fun getting to explore this type of storytelling and art too (and seeing my characters come alive in a different way) (which feels a bit weird to say when it's still me drawing them) (but still)

anyway, that means a lot to hear ahhh... I'm really glad people are enjoying it 🥺💕

(also I will never get tired of exploring the Genzy dynamic in as many situations and universes as possible, I will admit FJFJFJF)

FHDJDJDJD I'm just glad I could get the same feels across in the new medium. I was a bit worried at first since I don't have much experience in comic storytelling but I found I really like working with it a lot and the ways you can set up scenes and lines (and funny story beats 🤭)
