in the wake of how many posts we've seen lately in the mogai community about people speaking on their experiences with their labels, we thought we'd throw our hat in the ring and share our own experiences!! and, while a collective post will likely come at some point, that will also require a lot more time and in-system communication to coordinate as a collective, so in the meantime, i (tommy) figured i'd share my personal experiences with my identity!!

alderns are terms i am not very familiar with, but i do often wish i (or, primarily the body, since i can do this in innerworld) could shapeshift/change form. aldercustomize being the specific term i identify with stems, in no small part, from the fact that videogames are our main collective special interest, and specifically a special interest that we experience as foundational, aka a special interest that affects the very way in which we view the world and how we interact with it (which is its own rant; if there's interest in the various types of special interests we experience, i'd be happy to elaborate!).

because of this, shapeshifting taking the form of a character creation screen just... makes sense, in a way that other shapeshifting terms don't quite make sense!! it's also akin to making a picrew, if that makes more sense :-)

like alderns, i'm not super familiar with this umbrella term, but this one is quite simple, and actually quite important to understanding a lot of other factors of my identity!! it stems primarily from my being younger in innerworld than the body is, as well as the fact that i ageslide fairly often.

this is one that i'm fairly sure i would have other labels for if i went looking specifically, but i have not yet!! thus, as it currently stands, littlebrotherchro specifically stems from the fact that i have a lot of relationships where i'm the younger brother, generally in my found family, and that's just- a role in a dynamic that i am very comfortable with, and feel is almost intrinsic to my self, in a way!!

oh boy, okay!! so, as far as i'm able to remember, i've always had some amount of gender fuckery going on, but none of the, shall we say, "mainstream" labels ever fully fit comfortably. it's been... refreshing, to be able to say that there are a lot of genders that fit, and having multiple labels feels so much better than being constrained to just one!!

the majority of my genders are related to my interests!! this is due to the fact that my interests, especially the biggest ones like an assortment of videogames, art, music, dinosaurs, and bugs, to name a few, often feel inextricable from my self, so it follows that my gender is also highly affected by them :-)

as i mentioned in the fictidomi section, pokémon is a collective foundational special interest for us. we've been playing the games since we were 9, and watching content relating to it since before that. at this point, it is, no exaggeration, impossible to separate my self from pokémon.

i interact with pokémon, be it through playing the games or hearing the osts or what have you, and i feel at home. this isn't where i'm from literally, i recognize that, but it is where i'm from on every other level. it's my biggest source of comfort and emotional regulation, and it's really important to me that people around me know this and know that... it's so insanely important for us. it's really hard to put into words, but i adore this franchise and its universe is my home.

hoarding terms

okay so, i don't think this is an official umbrella? but it is useful for me to be able to visualize how my genders are... placed, so to speak!! for example, my hoard is on a notion database, and i like to imagine it's a little gallery with various terms hung up on the wall!!

in a vacuum, however, it's a lot harder to come up with these imaginations, especially since i have very low visual phantasia. this is why hoarding terms are so welcome to me!! it's especially welcome in the case of gender inventory, since- well, i know how the minecraft inventory works!! personally, i experience creative gender inventory specifically :-)

i'll start by explaining my autismroleic experience, since it's, rather simple: i'm an autism symptom holder!

it does, however, link into my experience with being cringeroleic: i came back from dormancy about a year ago when we were working through a lot of internalized cringe culture and such. my role back then, and still to this day, though it's less of a priority, was to embrace being cringe, and work through our feelings on it that way. a lot of interests and behaviours that have gotten us labeled as cringe have stemmed from our autism, too, which is why i say the two are interlinked.

Aldernic: An umbrella term for someone who has or wishes to have a body that deviates from societal expectations or typical human notions, or may even be impossible by human standards. The specifics of the identity depend heavily on the individual, and range from combining male and female sex characteristics, to complete bodily ambiguity, to desiring a nonhuman body. The term may even refer to someone's "true" body, as a result of alterhumanity, gender nonconformity, xenic identity, etc. It may also define someone's physical body, internal identity, or both. Not to be connected to or conflated with intersex.

Why Arissomei/Arissodic is its Own Term

An argument I've seen a lot of people use against arissomei/arissodic terms is that "They're just TransID/TransX terms relabelled!" or that "There's other terms that also fit this definition." Personally, I'm a user of arissomei terms so I may be bias, but this is why I feel as though arissomei/arissodic deserves its space as its own term.

When it comes to people saying that it can be replaced by different terms - when haven't there been terms that overlap? Nonhuman, alterhuman and transspecies overlap in their own ways but have things that set them apart. Arissomei is similar to transspecies, but exists as an alternative. Arissomei is similar to aldernic terms, but exists as an alternative. Arissomei is similar to transID and transX terms but is separate because of its clarification (that the term is intended for those with psychosis and who experience delusions, atypical dysphoria and/or a disconnect from their physical body.)

Arissomei terms aren't just 'transID'/'transX' rebranded because transID and transX terms are either: A.) stolen from other groups or B.) isn't specifically for those with psychosis, delusions, atypical dysphoria and/or who have a disconnect from their physical body (so could absolutely be used for fun and by people who think it's "cute" or "aesthetic.") The clarification between who arissomei terms are intended for versus the broadness of who can use transID and transX terms, as well as it not being a stolen term, is what sets it apart from them.

One common argument I see used against arissomei is that the creator is against the coining of arissoharmful terms which is obviously the creator being against those who's atypical dysphoria causes them to want to be harmful in some way (sarcastic). The creator has stated that the reason they (?) don't want coining of arissoharmful terms is that they don't want to make it seem like they're glorifying or romanticizing those things—which is entirely valid! Despite this, it STILL posted an umbrella term for those who use the arissomei term and experience this type of dysphoria, arissoimmoral!

Having terms that are inherently "I want to be [X]" but applied to things like TERFs, abusers, literal nazis IS glorification and romanticization of these things whether you mean for it to be or not. Your intent when using/making these labels (i.e. transnazi, transabuser, transharmful terms in general) doesn't fucking matter when you compare it to the effect. These things aren't something you want a term for that implies you want to transition into them, and openly showcasing it as a "I want to be this harmful thing and I'm proud of it!" IS harmful.

This isn't to say experiencing harmful atypical dysphoria isn't valid or that suddenly you can't use any terms to ease that dysphoria. You can experience it, you can find ways to ease it, you are valid, but using transharmful terms is does more harm to other people who experience the same as you. You are doing harm to your community, your friends, and yourself by perpetuating and continuing the use of transharmful terms and that arissomei terms are just "transID"/"transX" with a new label slapped on top.

ongietunem "identities" are terms surrounding ones delusions effecting their perception of things - such as their body, reality itself, their environment, aspects of oneself or relationships and so on - as well as the disconnect one feels from reality due to these delusions.

this uncludes the episodic, non-episodic, self-aware and unaware.

for a term to be under the ongietusio umbrella, it means one has a hard time differenciating their perception of that specific thing from what is real and what they expirience or believe it to be, that one's perception of such is effected by delusions, be it brought on by psychosis, a schizospec disorder or other.

etimology:

ohn-gee-too-zio / ohn-gee-too-nehm

the "sio/zio" end is pronounced as a soft z, ee, oh sound.

ongietan+delusio / ongrietan+delusionem

taking the first 6 letters from ongietan, the old english word for perception, taking the last 4 letters from delusio, the secondary latin root word for delusion, and taking u+nem from delusionem, the "noun of action from past-participle stem of deludere" - delusiodere being the first root word for delusion.

ongietan, perception, relates to ones view and disconect from what they should be viewing/expiriencing. delusio/deludere/delusionem, delision, specifies and emphasises the disconect from what is real and what is actually being expirienced.

how to coin.

one can coin an ongietusio by using the prefix ongietu-, example, ongietucorse.

the following template is optional.

[x] is an ongietunem term/ongietusio relating to one's perception of [x] being affected by [x] delusion. this term aknowledges the disconnect between reality and one's expirience, it does not romantisize nor idealize this expirience.

ongietusio does not support

anyone who anknowledges this term has boundaries and are not transid adjacent nor arissomei or aldernic replacements/alternatives.

please note intrusive thoughts can be a side effect of delusions but dont cause nor are they actual delusions themselves. having intrusive thoughts alone does not qualify as this specifies one's entire perception of things being disconnected from what is reality.

also note this is not a term made just for fun, but to actually aid in recognizing the disconnect, aknowledge it and spread a bit more awareness about the kind of expiriences people wth delusions may have. it is a serious topic about mental health, not an aesthetic or choice.

An umbrella term for identities only fully understood in context of a certain fictional culture(s), society(s), etc; generally, either it can only be understood by those who were raised in, from, or otherwise connected to said fictional culture/etc., or the identity just can't be explained through meanings detached from the cultural context, having a specific meaning tied to that culture.

The prefix / suffix for natiden terms is nati, but terms don't have to use the prefix / suffix unless the coiner wants to do so. This term can be used for genders, alderns, or anything else. Specific terms can have "den" replaced, so natigender for genders, natidernic for aldernic, that kind of thing.

An example term: "piglionati" (piglin + gold + nati) would be an identity that is tied to the Minecraft piglin's significance to gold within their fictional society. Whereas goldgender would just be a gender related to gold, piglionati could not be understood without its significance to being a piglin / being from piglin culture.

Can be connected to a specific region, dimension, planet, or otherwise. Only for fictional cultures / societies / etc., not real ones, as to prevent people from claiming closed cultures or identities.

Generally this is for alterhumans, system members, and others with memories of being a part of a fictional society or culture.
