help im getting mod ideas beyond my skill level
#complete forsworn overhaul w armors from vaultman30's extended set#different areas get different colored tartan mantles/tunics to mimic different clans having control over different areas of the reach#reachman townsfolk get tartan mantles w their vanilla clothes or tartan patterned tunics#custom armor variations for the different named marauder gangs/bandits#and those thirsk hall nords on solstheim#some custom armors for housecarls of jarls' courts? like there's a cool leather set with whiterun's emblem stamped into it#some varying east empire company armors. i know there's already a set out there that's widely patched but i think i like my idea more#also like a bunch of varying stormcloak armors in the camps bc like#irl a lot of medieval armies were made of mostly local militia#and obvs the elder scrolls universe is a lot different. a lot more emphasis on having a standing military force when you could be invaded b#by demons from another realm at any given time so investing in consistently good armor for ur men is worthwhile#but still having alllllll the stormcloaks in uniform armor when realistically it would've been way more varied due to limited supplies#people piecing together what they have from home and whatever can be found lying around#vs the empire having maintained standing armies for centuries and having an established uniform#um. bandits?#idk i feel like it would be cool to have an light obis-kinda thing going on#where there's like. subtle differences in bandits armors so if you actually look closely you can determine there are different factions#vying for control over the wilds#but idk#maybe a few big forts will have bandits in standard armor but with colored mantles/scarves#so you can see like oh shit this is a Group#not just a bunch of jackasses trying to get you to pay a nonexistent toll#and also to add to the idea that not all of the bandits in skyrim are just highwaymen#but like very old style nords who live by raiding.. v separate from skyrim settled cities culture. prob live by the old gods#which lot of people these days (as the empire's cultural grip on skyrim has increased over the centuries) just read as general banditry#and not a different aspect of nordic life and history#kinda like the ashlanders in morrowind. except also way different

The UTY OCs I mentioned before! They're brothers living somewhere in the Dunes after the loss of their parents years ago. Where they live is unknown, but Habanero is a known nuisance, especially in the Wild East. Some extra notes about them!
Habanero is the older brother, a little older than Clover. Padron is a year or so older than Frisk. They both use he/him pronouns and are both Fire Monsters (same species as Grillby, but unrelated). Habanero has been raising Padron for a majority of his life.
Habanero is a well known bandit in the Dunes, but he has a poor reputation. He constantly attempts to steal from the Wild East or jeopardize the Feisty Five's missions, but is always caught. The only skill he does have is that he always manages to escape later, only to repeat the cycle endlessly.
Padron is more often than not bedridden, due to being a very sickly child. His magic is rather weak, but he is extremely intelligent for his age. Because he can rarely leave home, not many people even know about him; Habanero doesn't like to share the fact that he's stealing to support his brother.
Habanero has a particular rivalry with Clover and cannot stand them, with the two often fighting when they encounter each other. He doesn't know they're a human.
Though Habanero can't stand the Wild East, he also dresses up as a cowboy and roleplays the part of a bandit . Nobody knows why he does this; Starlo did not hire him.

The numbers are different and clashing colours because of my dyscalculia headcanon :)))) (the numbers spell out Donnie btw) it’s like representing the chaos of dyscalculia and how it feels (maybe that’s dumb but it matters to ME)

bone bandit enrichment for the soul and the mind, she is pondering the orb and admiring/entranced by a bracelet that loves very much as you can tell because her pupils are all big like dummy.
I wanted to share these as I don't draw much or at least much for myself nowadays but I was randomly spurred on by that dumb spherical dragon plush I reblogged (it was stuck in my brain/haunting me for a while too), and it reminded so much of bandit the more I thought about and then it led to this dumb silly drawing and other drawing is based off a bracelet one of good pals made based off of bandit (I had to draw it of course and bandit's reaction to it) but these were surprisingly nice to draw and might do this more often!

i think it should be said, though, that dr3 is a lot more graphically violent than the games are. most of the game violence happens off-screen; punishments are the closest thing we get to on-screen, and they are not like this.
like - some of dr3 is real rough but in a different way than udg is rough.
the game mentions that junko caused the entire reserve course to commit suicide; you see that happen on screen, and that's rough. chiaki's entire death sequence is rough. a lot of the stuff we know junko did is now on screen, and it is rougher to see happen on screen than to just hear about so like.
dr3 is rough.

Monk: “Okay, [host NPC], now that you’re done shooting me for entering my own safehouse-”
NPC, crossbow in hand: “I THOUGHT YOU WERE A BANDIT I’M SORRY”
Monk: “Can we please go to bed now? We’re beat.”
NPC: “ Um. Well, there’re a few… visitors… in the back for you.”
Sorcerer: “what.”
Monk: “what.”
Paladin: “Fucking what.”
NPC: “It’s probably best you just… find out yourself.”
Monk: “No, wait a minute, who -”
Paladin: “You know what? Fine.” [ooc] I walk into the back room and enter the hidden section of the building.
DM: Upon falling through the trick floor onto the mattress provided for your landing, you look to your bed.
Paladin: …and?
DM: There are eight giant rats and a giant spider.
Paladin: “YOU GUYS AGAIN?!?!”

Merlin and Arthur are in love...
Because of a love potion. (It actually is a love potion, lmao)
No one seems bothered by it, except for Uther Pendragon, who forces everyone to help him find a cure.
Gaius: the only thing I can find here, is that to break the spell, something truly shocking must be revealed about the person they are infatuated with.
And thus begins Uther's attempt to find something shocking about his son... And something shocking about the manservant.
Uther: The boy killed a maid!!!
Arthur: Merlin?
Uther: ok, fine... He killed some... Bandit or something.
Arthur: wonders never seeze
Uther: .... God damn it
Uther: Merlin likes to wear women underwear
Merlin: *raises brow* and how do you know that, Sire?
Uther: um
Merlin: but now that you've said it...
Uther: fucking hell
...
In the end, it's their never ending love story itself, that ends it.
Arthur: let's not have secrets from each other
Merlin: ok
Merlin: I have magic
Arthur: *dreamy gleam leaves his eyes* wait... What?
Merlin: *still besotted* I have magic
Arthur: you're a sorcerer?!?! *Jumps to his feet* you lied to me!!!
Merlin: *suddenly shaken because of how hurt Arthur looks* hold on, what's happening?

My thoughts during “The Sign” [SPOILERS!!!!!]
Tumblr media
ID in ALT
More thoughts under the cut
So I think most of us can agree that this is the best episode of Bluey so far. It was so emotional and satisfying in ways that are kinda new for Bluey. It answered so many questions while giving us a few new ones. I’ve been waiting for this episode for months and it did not disappoint in any way.
This is just a Chekov’s firing squad of an episode. As in a lot of stuff that was set up in earlier episodes all pay off in this episode. I kinda understand why people love soap operas now lol. I will say that this episode was a tad overwhelming for me in the best way possible. As in I had to pause and rewind every 30 seconds or so so I could emotionally process what was happening before moving forward (but that’s a me thing). There was just so much going on and I’m happy about that.
Now onto individual thoughts about specific things:
The callback to Baby Race (“you took your first steps in that house!”) really got to me because Baby Race was the first episode of Bluey that I watched and it immediately made me fall in love with it so it just got to me.
When Chilli said “Frisky and I came up here as teenagers to…um…think,” my mind started racing immediately with “what the FUCK happened at the Lookout?” “Who hurt Frisky and/or Chilli?” And I’m just so curious about what made Chilli say that line like that but we’ll probably never know what happened.
So yeah that scene at the end when the music was playing and Bandit ripped the sign out of the ground and Chilli tackled him to the ground ABSOLUTELY CHANGED my brain chemistry y’all. I can’t articulate my feelings any more than that.
I know some people were upset that Brandy ended up getting pregnant but I thought it was great for her! I’m happy for her! And I think that even though she got what she wanted in the end doesn’t negate the feelings she had about her infertility earlier. But I think we’re all wondering who the father is and I don’t know if the show really needs to answer that.
The whole message of “we’ll see” in terms of if something is good or bad is such a mature message that I never really thought of like that so I will be taking that philosophy forward in life. Congratulations Bluey, you managed to teach a 22-year-old childless person something new and insightful about life that I don’t think I’ve learned from another show.
I want to know more about what Bob was going through and feeling and why he went to India, but again, we’ll probably never know.
I just love how the wedding photos were beautiful but imperfect. Like of course we’re not perfect and nothing will ever be perfect but it’s beautiful and worth remembering anyway.
So many little jokes and moments were so funny in a mature way (I.e. “are we allowed to do that?” And Nana thinking there was about to be a baby announcement) were just so funny and memorable.
I think some people would say it’s a cop-out to end up not selling the house after building it up for 2 episodes but I don’t know, I think it works. I think Bluey and Bingo learned a valuable lesson and Bandit (and Chilli kinda) learned it’s not always about making their kids lives “perfect” in their eyes. Also I’m just personally glad they didn’t end up selling the house and I also kinda like that it wasn’t entirely their choice to keep it.
On a more serious note I think this episode has some interesting commentary on like gender roles and gender relations in straight relationships. In this episode Chilli and Frisky (both women) have to deal with their male significant others pressuring them to move with them far away from what they know and love. In the end they don’t end up moving and the men didn’t seem to have like malicious or selfish intent with it, they were just kinda basing their choices off their jobs instead of what’s best emotionally for their loved ones. But I think it’s interesting to have this conflict where gender is kinda brought up in a way (“because your husband is making you”). It kinda plays into the traditional idea of like men are the breadwinners and the family has to move with them regardless of what they actually want. And this episode kinda like deconstructs that and says “no, it’s not always about the job or money, it’s also sometimes about connections and emotional attachment.” And I’m not saying that you should never move or whatever, but really weigh your options. I just thought that it was interesting that this episode kinda touched on that.
So yeah that’s kinda the main thoughts I had on this episode if you made it this far thank you for reading my rambles and have a good one!
