Just a bit more about my HC for this lil' guy

you know i used to think it was weird how sora and roxas have such different personalities for supposedly being 'the same person' but after playing a few games i sort of realized that they do have similar personalities, because roxas acts how sora does when he's under extreme stress.

compare roxas to sora in, say, kh1. that's where a lot of peoples idea of sora's personality comes from. sora is generally very upbeat and optimistic in that game. not very similar to roxas, right?

but let's switch the game and talk about a game where sora is ABSOLUTELY GOING THROUGH IT. chain of memories.

sora's resting state is melancholy in com. he only ever cheers up in short bursts, usually when he's joking around with friends. just like roxas.

he's quick to anger, and tends to lash out at the organization members. best example of this is when larxene makes him 'remember' namine, and he swings at her repeatedly, even after she's gone. he only stops when jiminy is able to snap him out of it.

you know what scene that resembles?

sora, while a bit more on the angry side and less sad, continues to act like this in kh2 when he's in stressful situations. (he also has a tendancy to insult people which, while it's not very related to the point, is very funny and sora saying 'gonna cry?' to xigbar is great.) i cant comment any further than that about kh2 off the top of my head.

so, roxas acts like sora does when he's stressed, right? but why is roxas always acting like that? to which i say, he isnt!

he only ever acts like that when he's also in fucked up and stressful situations, which happens to be a CONSTANT in his life. but when he's hanging out with axel and xion, a decidedly NOT stressful situation, he's a lot more like sora. he's teasing his friends and insulting his coworkers and joking around and acting like a normal kid. not really important, but unless i misremembered some sora lines which is VERY possible, both roxas and sora respond to friendly insults with "oh thanks!" a lot. just a funny little detail that felt relevant.

the biggest differences between roxas and sora boil down to environment and... i dont know how to put it besides volume? roxas is very quiet and tends to keep most of his thoughts to himself, while sora is very loud and expressive in comparison.

there is one other huge difference i noticed, which is less character based and more story. sora wanted to get off destiny islands and explore with his friends, but roxas just wanted routine. sora wants adventure, and roxas wants things to stay the same, for days where he gets off work and eats ice cream with his friends to last forever, to keep having conversations about nothing and watching the sunset. roxas wants normalcy, sora wants excitement. it's just interesting seeing their contrast.

Bittersweet Wind AU for fun—-

Everything with the Chain and the adventure is the same. All the boys have visited each other’s homes except for Wind’s. Finally, they are portaled to an island that must be Outset, based on Wind’s descriptions. However, they soon realize Wind is missing. They surmise that Wind must have run ahead in excitement to see his family. As they wander further into the island, they eventually encounter a pretty, middle-aged blonde woman. She stops to talk with them when she notices the heroes. It’s then she introduces herself as Aryll.

The boys are incredibly confused, as this is a far cry from the little sister Wind had described. They learn from Aryll that Wind died saving Tetra and Linebeck at the end of his second adventure. When they are finally portaled away from Wind’s world, he reappears with them in the next location. It turns out Wind was aware that he died but thought he was getting another chance to be a hero.

In the end, after the Chain completes their mission and heads their separate ways, individual portals open up for each of them—except for Wind. Wind understands that he has the choice to either go with one of his brothers or fade away. He chooses to go with Time, and he ends up being raised by Time and Malon. (He still goes on to participate in the War of Eras.)

Just finished "The Movement of the Earth" by @audreyii-fic and I'm SHOOK. I've been CHANGED.

Twilight is a comfort series to me because it's hilarious; watching the movies while talking about everything that could have made this series actually good is something I really enjoy. And one day, after watching Eclipse and thinking about how Jacob was surely lobotomized (yeah I like puns), I stumbled across this fic almost by accident and I couldn't stop. That "one day" I mentioned was today, or yesterday actually. It's 2:52am. I really couldn't stop.

So this is my long way of saying that if you want to read a great Twilight fic, or a great fic in general, go read it. It's amazing. It almost drove the author to insanity and it can do that for you too!

highest priority boss- definitely depends on the situation, but i ALWAYS target stingers cuz holy shit they become a problem so fast. im also recently discovering that fishsticks can be really fuckin annoying, especially when theres more than one

least favourite grizzco weapon- sorry to be a hater but i cannot stand gsplatana, its powerful against waves of lesser salmonid but oughhh that lack of range. i cannot deal with it. also the charged up attack takes FOREVERR. second most hated is gstringer, fuck that thing i can never figure out how to use it

ANYWAY! favourite stage- probably gone fission hydroplant? ive been playing on it a lot lately and its a pretty solid stage, i havent played sockeye very much but i think that ones definitely up there!

my eleventh year (2012) was a wild one, reading wise. by my estimations, that year (for the first time) i read percy jackson, diary of a wimpy kid, the hunger games, twilight, divergent, the uglies series, beautiful creatures, the mortal instruments, thirteen reasons why, and i'm pretty sure i read h*rry p*tter that summer. of course, i've since realized i have a tendency to soooorta skim when i read things for the first time, especially when i was younger, so who knows how much of that i actually absorbed, but like -- what in the pop culture catastrophe assfghjkllghjkllll

i'll fully admit that while i do love poly ships, this isn't always where my mind goes to. sometimes i just don't like one of the love interests much, or alternatively: i don't care for the person the two others are fighting for and think the two love interests should leave that person high and dry and date each other

in twilight i think both of them honestly stink and should stay far away from bella. i can't remember them interacting all that much where they aren't fighting (pre renesmee) but i have seen some fun edward/jacob fan content that's doing its own thing

and i mean i personally don't think edward/bella/jacob would be winning i think it would be so wildly messy and disastrous but like. i do love a messy polycule. so,
