Bittersweet Wind AU for fun—-

Everything with the Chain and the adventure is the same. All the boys have visited each other’s homes except for Wind’s. Finally, they are portaled to an island that must be Outset, based on Wind’s descriptions. However, they soon realize Wind is missing. They surmise that Wind must have run ahead in excitement to see his family. As they wander further into the island, they eventually encounter a pretty, middle-aged blonde woman. She stops to talk with them when she notices the heroes. It’s then she introduces herself as Aryll.

The boys are incredibly confused, as this is a far cry from the little sister Wind had described. They learn from Aryll that Wind died saving Tetra and Linebeck at the end of his second adventure. When they are finally portaled away from Wind’s world, he reappears with them in the next location. It turns out Wind was aware that he died but thought he was getting another chance to be a hero.

In the end, after the Chain completes their mission and heads their separate ways, individual portals open up for each of them—except for Wind. Wind understands that he has the choice to either go with one of his brothers or fade away. He chooses to go with Time, and he ends up being raised by Time and Malon. (He still goes on to participate in the War of Eras.)

It's a warm, welcoming day. You sit casually in your living room on the couch reading over one of your favorite novels, humming a familiar tune as you use your imagination to the fullest. Mystical worlds full of wonder and mystery..that sounds like a wonderful place to explore.

Your peace is interrupted by the ball of energy that is your datemate, Papyrus, opening the front door to your shared home with a wide smile, shifting to what he deems a "cooler" pose as he leans against it.

"I Have Returned From Gardening With The King, My Love! I Sincerely Hope I Hadn't Kept You Waiting Too Long." He shoots a wink in your direction, earning a little laugh as you walk over and press a kiss to the skeleton's cheekbone. His cheekbones then proceed to flush as a smitten expression overtakes the previous one.

"Don't worry, Paps. You're right on time. So..any big plans?" You tilt your head as the skeleton snaps out of his dizziness, putting his hands on his hips as he stands up straighter.

"Now That You Mention It, I Do!" He holds out his hands for you to take them, so you do. He leads you into the living room, motioning for you to wait a second as he..floats to his room to put his things away. Sometimes you forget he can do that.

He walks right back in moments later, proudly smiling.

"So! I Have Spent Some Time With My Good Friend Mettaton, And With His Advice I Would Like To Properly Court You!"

"Court me?" You smile, raising a brow at your partner's antics.

"Yes! See..We Haven't Had A Proper Date Before, But Now I'd Like To Take You Somewhere Nice! ..For The Both Of Us."

You let out a hum as he kneels before you in a knight-like fashion, gently holding your hand in his own as if you were royalty.

"Would You Do Me The Honor Of Going On A Date With Me?" He smiles up at you, eyelights shining..how could you say no to that? Letting out a chuckle, you nod your head and jolt a little when he stands up abruptly.

"Excellent! Well, I'd Best Take Some Time To Plan...I Want To Surprise You! Will A Few...erm. ..Hours Be Alright?" He asks, holding his hand up to his chin to think. You smile amusedly at that.

"Yeah, I don't have any plans anyway. Do whatever you think is right, Paps." You give him a hug from behind, making him smile before letting him rush away to start planning. A warm feeling creeps its way into your heart..he's putting so much thought into this, all for you..such a sweetheart.

You decide to go into your room while he's planning, rummaging through your closet for something you'd like to wear. It's a bit of a difficult task as you don't know exactly where he wants to go, so you go with something not too formal, but not too casual either.

Papyrus paces back and forth, writing ideas down and even going as far as to call his brother for some ideas as to where to go. Eventually, after planning for hours, he'd found himself ready to go and walks over to his closet, looking for something appropriate for the evening.

You sit in the living room, scrolling away on your phone through different socials before you hear footsteps approaching. Your eyes shift up as you see your datemate standing before you, taking in his attire.

He had chosen to wear a red jacket and his usual "Cool Dude" shirt beneath it, with slightly torn black jeans, some shades resting on his head to complete the look. His signature gloves are still present on his hands, as well as his signature smile on his face.

"Oh, Paps..you look so handsome. But then again, you're always handsome, so nothing's really changed." You stand, walking over to your partner with a warm smile.

He smiles, putting a hand on your cheek. "You Look Wonderful Yourself!"

"You're gonna make me blush." You grin, putting your hand over his and leaning into it.

He lets out a nyeh heh, before you lean back a little.

"So, Paps..where to first?" You ask him curiously, raising a brow as you face him.

"That Is For Me To Know, And For You To Find Out!" He grins, leading you outside and gently closing the door behind you as you both walk to his bright red convertible. You hold up your phone when you get a text, reading it.

"Dearest, Are You Coming?" You raise your head to see your datemate smiling a little worriedly, sitting in the car already. Your face flushes when you realize you'd been distracted, walking over and getting in.

"Sorry, got sidetracked." You smile apologetically at him and he assures that it's okay, that he does that all the time.

Once you're properly buckled, Papyrus begins to drive. His convertible is definitely one of his favorite possessions in the world, the two of you often going for rides with no particular destination in mind, just wanting to enjoy the scenery and each other's company. The wind hits you both as he cruises through the streets, moving your clothes back just a little. Too much wind would be annoying to deal with.

Both humans and monsters alike wave as you both stop at a red light. Papyrus greets those he recognizes cheerfully as always as you both wait, waving them off once you remind him the light's green again.

"Sooo.. where are we headed, anyway?" You turn to him, a curious glint in your eye as you look him over. He shakes his head but keeps his eyes on the road, adjusting his mirror a bit.

"Oh No You Don't, I'm Not Telling You Anything! That'd Ruin It. I Am Not Going To Ruin The Surprise! Nobody Enjoys That." He chuckles as he speaks, an amused tone to his voice as he sees you cross your arms in response.

"Oh, c'mon! At least let me know what I'm wearing is appropriate." You gesture to yourself, frowning. It'd be pretty awkward if you showed up somewhere nice without the proper clothes for it..

He gives you another glance before shifting his eyelights back to the road. "You Look Lovely As Always, Dearest, You'll Be Just Fine As You Are!" He grins.

You sigh, deciding to leave it at that since his replies aren't getting you anywhere. He turns up the radio to a comfortable level as he turns in another direction, you decide to hum along as you scroll on your phone to keep yourself occupied. Excitement consumes you as you wonder where he could possibly be taking you. Curse you, surprises! But at least it'll be worth it when you get there.

Papyrus bounces a bit in his seat, excited to see your reaction. He'd put a lot of thought into how he wanted the evening to go, and with his brother's assistance he thinks he's managed to plan out the perfect evening. As..long as everything goes according to plan..

"..I'd Thought Of Doing Something Simple, Like A Dinner Of Sorts, But When I Thought About It A Little More I'd Realized That Wouldn't Be Enough Time. I'd Like To Spend Lots Of Time With You, So.. What Better Way To Do That Than Go Somewhere Fun?" He turns one more time, parking and taking the key. You lift your head as you pocket your phone, grinning wide when you realize just where he's taken you.

"A Carnival?!" You exclaim, smiling and getting out of the car as Papyrus makes sure the top is up, joining you. "Paps, how did you know they'd be hosting one?"

"I Had A Little Help." He winks, holding out his arm for you to take it. You wrap your arms around it, chuckling.

"Remind me to tackle Sans when we go see him."

He lets out a laugh, guiding you into the carnival. The wait beforehand was worth it in your eyes, since it's fairly late all of the lights have been turned on, making the space colorful and bright. You can hear some upbeat music playing through speakers set up, lightly bopping your head to the beat. The most eye-catching part of the carnival itself is definitely the large, illuminated ferris wheel behind the games with people lining up to enter.

"How long do you think they'll be open for?"

"Well, I Believe The Website Said That They'd Be Open Until Midnight Tonight, So There Will Be Plenty Of Time To Explore!"

"Let's get started then!" You drag him along, hearing him laugh a bit.

"Hold On A Moment! We Can't Do Anything Without Tickets. Wait Here!" He rushes away, leaving you standing in place. You let out a sigh, smiling fondly as he runs off.

"he's the coolest, huh?"

"Yeah.." Wait a minute. You turn your head, seeing the shorter skeleton beside you. "Sans?! What are you doing here?"

"i'm helping out over at one of the more obviously rigged games. they said if anything's left over at the end of the week i can keep it. i'll probably sell the prizes, or give 'em to paps. he loves collecting plushes. well, that and action figure sets."

"I hear that. Well, it's good to see you. Were you the one that gave him the idea for this?" You tilt your head, seeing him shrug in response.

"maybe i was, maybe i wasn't. either way, don't let him know you saw me. i wanna surprise him." He chuckles, before hearing him approach and shortcutting away abruptly.

"I've Returned! Ready To Go?" He holds out his arm for you, and you take it.

"You know it, Paps." You smile, leading him down a path to choose between the games.

Up first, you decided to go for a shooting game, sliding over a ticket and picking up a water gun. "So yeah, this one's pretty simple. You just shoot the targets until time runs out. The more targets you hit, the more points you get. And however many points you get determines what kind of plush you can get from up there."

"Sounds Fairly Simple! What's The Catch?" He raises a browbone, a curious glint in his eyelights.

"Well, there shouldn't be one to this game, but you've gotta be careful with some other ones. They tend to be rigged a lot of the time." You grin, waiting for the carny to start up the game and begin firing randomly at whatever targets you can. Papyrus watches you intently, mentally noting how the game is played. Once you finally run out of time, you step aside so Papyrus can give it a whirl.

"I'll pick something out after him." You smile, the carny nodding in understanding before looking back down at their phone. They're probably just working here as a summer job..makes sense.

Papyrus focuses his aim, before finally beginning to shoot. He hits quite a few targets! About as many as you do, only off by about one or two.

"You did great, Paps! Alright, which of these silly critters should we choose?" You look over the selection. The carny looks at the amount of points you'd gotten that they wrote down, saying you could pick from any of the medium-sized plushes.

Papyrus decides to get a bunny plush, a very cute white one with a red ribbon around its neck. One of its eyes are missing, but that just makes him want it even more. You smile fondly at the sight, still struggling a little to pick yourself, when you finally decide on a matching plush you can put in your room, only this bun is black and just so happens to have a ribbon the same color as your soul. Perfectly fitting!

You both step away from the game, looking for another one. A montage of sorts begins..

When apple bobbing, Papyrus manages to win almost immediately, using his teeth to his advantage. When playing a ring toss game, you both end up realizing the game's rigged and ditch it. When playing a duck game, you manage to grab the duck with the highest number, and receive a little set of rubber ducks as a prize. Oh, are you going to torment Paps with these for the next few weeks..he shakes his head as you deviously smile.

When playing a strength test game, Paps..almost breaks it. Almost.

"Paps- I knew you were strong, but not "break the machine" strong." You stare in awe at his score, while his skull flushes as he smiles beside you.

"I Suppose I Don't Know My Own Strength Sometimes!" "Explains why you can carry me and Sans so easily." You huff amusedly, dragging him in a different direction.

"Oh, let's go over to the Dunk Tank! I wanna sink somebody."

"A..Dunk Tank? Elaborate, Please."

"A dunk tank is a sorta game where you try to throw a baseball at a target so the person sitting above the tank falls into the water. There aren't prizes for those, but it's pretty funny to watch them fall."

"I've Got A..Sinking Feeling About This One." He smirks, proud of himself. You snicker, which makes his smile grow even more. These skeletons and their puns.. Sans is a lot more prone to telling them than Paps is, but when he cracks one or two it's always a delight!

"Don't worry, the person in the tank is totally okay. They're able to swim up and all, then the next person gets to try to sink them."

"I See..How Interesting!" He accompanies you over to the tank, but stops when he sees just who's in the tank, pointing a finger accusingly (and very overdramatically). "BROTHER?!"

"oh, hey guys. been watching you walk around. wanna give it a go?" Sans waves down at the two of you as you approach the tank. Somehow him having this role makes the most sense out of all the other ones. You can't exactly put your finger on why..

"How Long Have You Been Here?"

"the whole time. wanted to surprise you while i'm workin' here for a little bit." The lazier skeleton shrugs, his typical lazy grin there to match.

Papyrus sighs. "Of Course, That's Why You Suggested The Idea To Me, Wasn't It?"

"partially. other half is so you lovebirds could have some fun." Sans looks down at you. "should've heard this guy walkin' around in circles and ramblin' like a madman."

"Sans!" Papyrus' cheekbones flush, and you can't help but laugh in reply. Stars, you love your datemate.

"anyway," Sans clears his nonexistent throat, "which one of you wants to give it a shot first?"

"I'll give it a whirl." You pick up a ball, backing up a bit. Sans gives you a thumbs up, smug on his seat above the water. There's no water on the ground, so maybe nobody's managed to sink him yet. Well, you're not about to let that slide.

You move your arm back, then..throw!

You miss. Dang it.

"two more shots. c'mon, i believe in you."

You nod, throwing again. Another miss. A frustrated sigh leaves your lips as you pick up the last ball, throwing it..but the hit isn't strong enough to knock him down.

"There's no way this shit isn't rigged."

Sans shrugs. "i don't even know myself."

Papyrus puts his hand on your shoulder. You look up at him, raising a brow. A determined glint is visible in his eyesockets as he grins down at you.

"Stand Back, Dearest. I Can Do This."

"give it a shot, bro." Sans gives him a thumbs up. You wipe a fake tear away from your eye, swooning dramatically as Papyrus steps up to avenge your attempts..and then, he throws.

SPLASH!

Sans falls right into the water. You both laugh at the sight as Sans shortcuts right back up, grinning. "nice job, bro. knew you could do it."

"Damn Right!" Papyrus laugh, putting an arm around your shoulders.

"you wanna do it again?"

"What do you thi.." You pause mid sentence, feeling a droplet hit your shoulder. You look up, seeing more droplets begin to fall. Papyrus' eyelights shrink as he looks to you.

"It's raining." You state, holding your hand out as droplets begin to hit it.

"It Wasn't Supposed To Rain Today! I Checked The Weather Beforehand!" He sounds stressed, glancing around.

You put a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, Paps, it's okay. There's a reason they're called weather predictions."

His focus stops on the ferris wheel, and his smile picks up. "We Can Ride The Ferris Wheel! The Seats Are Covered So We'd Be Shielded From The Rain!"

"Brilliant idea, Paps!" You run over with him (not without bidding goodbye to Sans of course), waiting in line eagerly before finally sitting down with him. You both sit across from each other, enjoying the sights. You find yourself looking out of the window as the raindrops hit it, smiling softly at the view of the city area nearby.

Papyrus watches you with a warm smile, eyelights shining with joy as he takes in your curious expressions..something so truly perfect to him. For a short while..everything is peaceful between you. You reach across to hold his hand as he joins you in observing the view..the other couples and friends alike alongside you doing the same.

..The wheel stops. Why has it stopped?

You both turn to look at each other, worry slowly consuming your previous expressions. You both look down as the person running the wheel who seems to be panicking, calling someone over to take a look.

"Yikes..looks like we'll be stuck here a while. But at least we're together, right Paps?" When he doesn't reply, you look to him. "Paps?"

He stares down at the floor, frowning. A stressed expression crosses his face.

"Paps, what's wrong? You can tell me." You speak softly so as not to upset him. He looks up at you, before looking back down. He hesitates a moment before speaking.

"This Is All Wrong." He rests his arms in his lap.

"What do you mean?"

"We Were Supposed To Have A Peaceful Evening, One We'd Remember For A Long Time..One Where Nothing Goes Wrong. But Now We're Here, Stuck In The Rain And Stuck In The Air For Who Knows How Long? I Just..I Suppose I Wanted This Evening To Go Perfectly. Now It's Ruined." He looks up at you.

You pause, thinking carefully about what he's said, before letting out a laugh. He furrows his browbones, putting his hands on his hips.

"It's Not Funny!" He cries as you calm yourself down, standing up and moving over to his side.

"You're too sweet, Paps. Nothing's ruined at all. I'm..super touched you care so much for me. I've had so much fun this afternoon with you. Just playing games, taking in the sights, you sinking Sans in the Dunk Tank.. and even if we're stuck up here, we're stuck together.. and I don't mind that at all."

His eyelights sparkle.

"This has been so much fun..being anywhere with you is worth it, no matter the circumstance. So what if some rain poured? We can still save the evening. It's not like it's totally lost just because some stuff didn't go according to plan. I've got you..and you've got me! And that's all we need, right?"

He smiles, visibly relaxing as he turns towards you.

"You're Right. I Need To Stop Obsessing Over The Little Things. We Can Still Have Fun! In Our Own Way. I Can't Believe I Was So Worried About That.."

"I love you for your imperfections, Paps. Nothing's ever truly perfect, anyway. And that's just fine."

You put your hand over his, your hands intertwining. His eyes soften as he shifts his position a little, raising a hand to hold your cheek..ensuring that you look up at him. You both smile at each other fondly, silently giving each other permission. He leans forwards..pressing his teeth to your lips, the two of you sharing a warm and loving kiss that could stop time. Not that you would complain if it did.

Almost as if it was your doing, the wheel starts moving again. You lean back a bit, surprised, before the both of you laugh. Everyone is slowly let off of the ride, and you plan an escape route.

Papyrus slides off his jacket, holding it above you both. "I Have A Crazy Idea!"

"Well, let's go with it!"

"Alright, Let's Run To The Car As Fast As We Can! Think You Can Keep Up With Me?" He looks down at you with that determined smile you know and love.

"I'll do my best!" You grin up at him, equally determined.

Aaand then you both just start running and screaming as you dart out of the carnival and into Paps' car. You both pause a second in your seats to catch your breath, before looking at each other and letting out a good laugh.

"Come On! The Night Can Still Be Saved. Let's Go Home And Change, Then Figure Out What We'll Do Next!"

"You've got it, Paps." You grin, turning up the radio as he begins to drive off.

Sans watches the car leave as he dries himself off with a towel, letting out an amused chuckle.

"those two were made for each other."

there's been this blog that's ran by a noah hater. they've been hating on him for the longest time, long before he became problematic in the eyes of the whole internet. they've been throwing insults about his acting and his appearance every chance they got. and like, it was a very small blog, so their posts either got ignored or people told them to shut up. guess what happened in the last couple of months? this blog became a lot more popular. a lot of their posts have more than one hundred notes. I saw big byler artists reblogging their posts. I saw some ex noah fans interacting with their blog (even though they should know better). I don't expect people to read every single post someone made before they follow them but like, this person continues to post the nastiest shit about noah insulting his looks and acting skills and spreading rumors about him, so like, i see what kind of content people choose to consume. this person has the time of their life right now because they can finally be openly nasty about noah and byler tumblr is eating this up. like it's soooo obvious to me that all these people don't hate on noah because they care about palestine so much.

hi waru!! hope you’re having a good day so far!! so i’ve been a casual alonso and fermin fan the last few months but their chemistry is making my fingers itching to write fics about them so what do you think i should know about them… like if you make a fermin/alonso 101: guide to know them what would you put in it?? or where to start to get to know them? thanks btw!! Hi anon! Welcome to the wagon! I hope you enjoy the ride because it's getting bumpy in here at the moment!

Okay if their chemistry now it's making you itch to write, you definitely missed the best part. Last year they were even more cuddly and more gay. I recommend you to follow the riders, SpeedUp and Héctor Faubel (ex-Spanish rider and Fermín's manager) to get some content about them. Faubel specially because most of the Japanese date was post by him.

Here is some stuff I think it's important to know about them:

They used to be teammates in 2021 when they both where racing JuniorGP in the Moto2 category. (This used to be the Spanish championship, and also it used to be called European Moto2. DORNA and the Junior categories kills me). And Alonso finished second to Fermín in the championship, and also in most of the races.

If we believe Spanish media (which usually are pretty accurate), when they are in the circuit they are joint by the hip and spend time together outside track too. However, on the actual race track they don't like to be close to each other or work together.

Fermín has moved to Andorra, but he still visits his family in Murcia (La Ñora) and I remember him saying his grandmother is very important to him, but she doesn't watch the races. I guess due to the stress because he said she is a fan of his.

Alonso is posh. He was raced in Madrid (city centre), but his family has a second residency in also in Madrid. He currently lives in Valencia with David Almansa, a rider he coaches (who races in JuniorGP).

Alonso had to move from Madrid to Valencia because he got in troubles at home (he didn't disclouser them), but apparently it ha to do with him not taking racing too seriously.

Talking about coaching, Fermín helps Faubel with his team (as a rider coach) in JuniorGP. And he has been spotted being close to Yeray Ruíz (Faubel's rider).

Alonso always talks highly about Fermín. After his first win, Alonso said this: 'Thanks to Fermín, I’m the rider that I’m today', because apparently they have been pushing each other to their best.

Fermín is always set to compare himself with Alonso, so they are there pushing each other every time, every race, every day and every session.

Fermín is not afraid and a bit cocky. In 2022, it was his first full season in Moto2, but as he has replaced Yari Montella in 2021 more than 6 times which disqualified him for the as a rookie. He said he didn't care and that his objective was the championship.

Alonso did entered the championship in 2021 when it had already started (Le Mans), so he was pissed and got an excel to prove that if he had started in Qatar, he would be fighting for the championship. Apparently he has some mad skills with maths, Excels and formulas (I still don't know how he did it because my math doesn't math with his).

From the 2 of them, Fermín is the adult. And I'm not making this up. Alonso is prone to forget stuff, like the car keys or accidentally steal them. Once the ban full of racing gear stay the night in the circuit because he couldn't find the keys. He also lost his phone in the snow when skying (or doing snow I can't remember).

Fermín is cuddly as hell. I lost the count of the many times I saw Fermín with his head in someone else's shoulder, mostly Faubel.

Back when Alonso was in Moto3, his dad used to come with him to the circuit, but now is his mom.

Alonso used to practice snowboarding or sky and he was good at it. he also used to be play golf, but now he is bad at it.

The team call Fermín Aldo, and he seems to get along very well with his team and I saw a couple of times them hugging Aldeguer after a race.

And this is all I can think about at the moment. If you want to know more, just look on my tags for Fermín, Alonso and Alín (ship name) because I can't remember anything more. Youwill also find their Japanese date photos and from others, like Pisa or Germany. And team photos where they get kinky and gay.

And about fic res? I don't actually read a lot of MotoGP fics for some reason. I do know there are a few, so just take a look.

Have you seen Mark Oshiro's AMA a few hours ago?? Apparently the preview is a draft they wrote as an audition of sorts for Rick. No one has guessed...at LEAST the second half of the book's plot yet. Also we're getting both Will & Nico's POV- and apparently Will was the harder character for Mark to write, because Rick seems to have a very specific idea of what he wanted to do with him. I hope it gets better in the official publication because otherwise, I'd be disheartened. I guess it can't be helped though. It's two authors instead of the usual Rick and try as he may, Mark shouldn't be faulted for their writing style. But again, it's not like I can control my feelings.

Regarding the last half of the book, I'm having huge expectations for it since, ya know, Uncle was being so bold about it. Again, I hope I wouldn't end up with a broken heart.

About Will, so far I have yet to form a coherent, completed image of him due to the lack of canon materials, so I'm pretty pleased to learn that Rick has specific ideas for him.

I'd hold nothing against him if Rick doesn't, btw, not every single character needs a detailed, fully filled-out background sheet for them to work well into the story. And if you ask me, I'm contented with Nico's boyfriend being a secondary character. It probably has something to do with me vs protagonists

With that being said, Will with his distinguished characterization is enthralling just the same. I'm quite curious as to how Rick's gonna build Will - considering the fandom has done an excellent job of it. The fanon Will is like a religion at this point. Many new canon materials turn out to be common in fanon. I'm a little concerned fr the official tbh lolol

It would be extremely disappointing in the unfortunate event that Rick fails, yet if he manages to surprise, I do believe it would be astounding to watch. Let us believe.

Riddle Rosehearts

His mother arranged it. As it was when he was younger, his mother dictated every part of his life. 

Somehow he couldn’t stop his mother’s decisions in arranging a marriage for him. You were from a well-known family who excelled in magic so his mother found it fitting.

Riddle, of course, didn’t really like the idea. He disagreed with his mother’s decision, but didn’t say much about it. 

You would see each other during school holidays, since you don’t attend the same school. 

It was really awkward at first, but Riddle was at least polite to you. He just didn’t know what to talk about or what to say. He didn’t find much of a point in conversing anyway.

There was one time, where you visited his school and he was quite shocked about it as well. But anyhow, he introduced you to Trey and Cater, who were both equally surprised. 

You basically went to see what his life was like, but Riddle was busy that day so he left you with Trey and Cater. Which was perfect! You wanted to get to know Riddle a bit more and the best way was to probably talk to his friends. 

You found out what he liked to eat, and started practicing how to bake strawberry tarts the way he liked it. (Trey said the ingredients and measurements had to be PERFECT, so it took you weeks.)

Christmas came round and your family was invited over to their house for dinner and to stay the night. 

Dinner was normal, not much words were exchanged on the table between you and Riddle. As you expected, no sweets were served after dinner.

So, you went looking for Riddle after dinner, in his room.

He was surprised to see you out there and you simply handed him a cake box. It’s a strawberry tart that you worked hard on the day before. “Merry Christmas,” 

He opened it to find an immaculate looking strawberry tart, but he also noticed that your fingers were covered in some bandages. He was quick to piece the puzzle together.

“...How did you know?” He asked, the two of you still standing at his doorway. You tell him that you exchanged numbers with Trey and that you’ve been asking him for some baking tips. 

Riddle is silent for a moment before he actually opens his door and lets you in. “...We should...eat it together,” he simply says and so that’s what the two of you do.

Riddle was skeptical at first. He didn’t think anyone other than Trey would get his tastes precisely right, but you did well on your first try. “...It’s good, thank you,”

You were super relieved and was telling him how his friends are really nice, to which he only half agreed with. You had the wrong impression of Riddle, he didn’t seem so uptight as you thought he was.

“...So you...exchange messages with Trey?” He suddenly asked you and you nodded your head in confirmation “Mmhmm, he’s very nice,” 

Riddle tries to hide the small hint of displeasure on his face, his eyebrows creasing the slightest bit. He doesn’t even know why he feels the slightest bit annoyed.

He hands you his phone, “It doesn’t seem proper that I don’t your number...so if you could just put yours down...” he pretends to be busy with the tart while he says that and pretends he’s uninterested.

The two of you say good night shortly after but you before you even enter your room for the night you get a message from Riddle.

“Thank you. It tasted wonderful. Could I ask what your favourite dessert is?” 

You ended up texting back and forth for a while before going to bed. He was much more talkative through text.

The two of you gradually got closer...and that’s a story for another time ;)

Kalim Al-Asim

Arranged marriages are quite common where he’s from. He isn’t fazed by it and he knows a lot of people who go through it. 

He takes it on like how he usually takes everything on, with a smile and positivity. 

You are actually quite lucky, because he is so easy to get along with and he’ll warm up to you in an instant.

The first time you met he was all smiles and complimented you on the outfit you were wearing, the two of you actually had fun hanging around in his garden and him telling you all about his school life. 

You were smitten in just a few days and you thought that this wouldn’t be so bad after all. 

Until you realized that he basically treated everyone the same way. 

The first time you noticed was when there was a big ball/gathering that was hosted at his mansion. 

Kalim talked to everyone so easily! He complimented them on how they looked, asked about their hometown, conversed with them smoothly. 

So, basically, you felt like you weren’t special at all. He was just like that to everyone. 

At some point during the party you left Kalim’s side to get your own drink but you never did return back to his side cause you wanted to think about things on your own for a bit.

Another person approached you and started getting friendly with you, which you didn’t mind. You kind of had this ‘If Kalim can socialize so well I can too’ sort of thing going on in your mind at that moment.

Until the person started to get a little touchy, then alarm bells started going off in your head. 

Jamil was watching everything from a distance right from the start, but he wasn’t one to interfere into Kalim’s conversations, or rather, he wasn’t supposed to. But Jamil did interject Kalim the next moment he was free and all he said was. “Kalim, where’s Y/N?”

Kalim suddenly was conscious of your absence and when he looked around he saw that person touching your arm rather affectionately and he wasn’t sure why he was so bothered by it. 

Still, he approaches the two of you with a smile and scratched the back of his head when talking to you. “Hey, Y/N, sorry, I got caught up talking with others,” he extends his hand out to you and then addresses the person talking to you “Ah, hey, Haadi thanks for looking after my partner, I’ll take it from here!” 

Haadi drops the hand that was brushing your arm and apologize “S-Sorry Prince Kalim, I didn’t know the two of you were together,”

Kalim smiles and laughs though, like nothing happened. “Yeah! Guess I haven’t been introducing ‘em properly. This is Y/N, we’re engaged!” 

Haadi congratulates the two of you but quickly excuses himself right after, which Kalim doesn’t quite understand, but he shrugs and turns towards you. 

“Mm, alright, well, let’s go around the room again! I gotta introduce you properly to everyone this time around!” He squeezes your hand and grins and somehow you get the impression that Kalim does see you differently but you’re still quite insecure about it all. Wondering if Kalim would be ok with getting engaged to anyone and if it didn’t really matter if it was you or someone else.

So, you decide to ask. “H-Hey, Kalim...Is it... I mean, are you just going along with the engagement and...Ah... nevermind, I’m sure you are. It wouldn’t really matter even if it was someone else, right?” Of course he was just doing it to please his parents and follow rules, it’s not like you were special.

He blinked at you and tilted his head a little, wondering what your crestfallen look was about  “...Father introduced a couple of others to me, but I didn’t like them so I chose you!” 

Turns out that traditionally, there are a few people whom Kalim can pick from (it’s a matter of hierarchy and bloodline) and he’s allowed to say no until they find someone who he actually likes. It’s basically like matchmaking. You thought that he didn’t have a choice on the matter and that you were forced upon him.

“You’re really nice, the other ones were um... hehe,” he doesn’t have it in him to say something bad about them, but most of the previous ones were very stuck up and most likely was just enamored by the fact that he was rich.

“Anyway! I’m glad that you’re here! Have you ever tried halva before? Let’s go get some...” and he basically doesn’t let go of your hand the rest of the night and properly introduces you to everyone.

He’s a super nice and energetic guy, but the way he squeezes your hand tells you that he’s also pretty loyal to those he chooses to be with.

Ahhh, ye olde Hamsteak... I'm a big fan!

The Huss might have an abrasive personality and questionable business practices, but you can't deny that he's excellent at creating characters and interactions that feel real.

And he truly innovated with the medium in a way that I think would seriously be taught in schools, pushing the limits of storytelling by approaching it through text, images, gifs, music, flash animations, ads, content on other sites, games, etc!

I learned a lot about storytelling by reading Homestuck and take some inspiration from different elements of it, and I know several writer friends who felt the same way after reading Homestuck.

If you haven't read Homestuck yet, I recommend giving it a try!

Yeah it's pretty long, so don't try to binge it– I'd recommend just reading through a smaller chunk of pages every day, which coincidentally would mimic how it was originally released. I believe there's an option to help you read it in release cadence in the linked app.

The collection of Homestuck music made by fans is also really epic, I love instrumentals/viddy game music and listen to a lot of fan tunes!

1/ To the anon say DY doesnt stand out in group.I'd say DY is made to survive in a group. Let's be real, idol isnt purely artist, their popularity doesnt reflect their singing, dancing or rapping skills. You cant compare DY to each member and say he isnt good enough, the group and industry dont need that, they need an unique DY filling in the gap. If you hear enough you may see the difference between a harmonization w and w/o DY.

2/ Abt vocal, your opinion is subjective (as it should be). If it were me, I would say, HC sounds too thin to me sometimes when he tries to maintain his 'unique' tone and not mature enough to carry 'divorce anthem'. All vocals doesnt need to sound powerful or technically excellent, that's the point of being in a idol group. Taeil can dominate the highnote but when it comes to No longer, Bach 2 U, I believe many relate to the painful face of DY.

You may feel some members be the highlight of a song, but only on a background of other suitable vocals. Doyoung's voice is loved anyway, they may say singing for Taeil but when it's voice, it's DY. 3/ And to be fair, it's not like anyone in NCT being outstanding in modeling, they all needs to improve and find their suitable brand. Doyoung body and attitude have potential in this field tho. To be frank, these days the modelling gigs is more abt fame than skills.

Haft of the idol ambassadors are mismatched with the brand or lacking.4/ In variety, DY variety chara is interesting. He may not be on the front every time, and he doesnt demand continuously attention like JW. That may make ppl think he is not important but gradually you can see how well he controls the situation.

5/ I read an analysis of Korean fan abt DY, they conclude that DY image doesnt put pressure on audience to laugh like JN or JW, as he chooses to follow his weak and defeated image, allowing fans to 'sympathize'. If you know about J-idol, you will know the importance of image. Most variety depends on banter with a duo of tsukkomi and boke, and DY is the one who make the banter possible. That's the reason why he shows up a lot in contents and teams with pushed members at some points (JH-JN-TY-JW)

DY chara shines as he shows his value via interaction.6/As an idol, there is hardly any idol is better in reading the fan as DY. His idol image may not the Western type but resonants well with Eastern fans - who are far more loyal. He can be the ideal bf for some fangirls and the example for mature fans. Successful idols may have that star quality and visual to fish new fans but it requires a story to keep their heart. DY has his story written beautifully with his efforts.

Ayunga is a famous musical theater actor who performs both traditional Chinese opera and modern musical theater. He is a good friend of GG's. They were in Our Song together, and a lot of the Dragon TV events and specials, and various other things.

Ayunga, GG, Zheng Yunlong NYE 2019/2020.

He is rumored to be gay and in a relationship with Zheng Yunlong, who is also a musical theater actor. They were college roommates together, and have performed together on a number of occasions. They’ve been ‘friends’ for a very long time. I don't know whether that ship is real or not, but there are certainly signs might be.

There are so many excellent videos of them on YouTube, just search for their names and you’ll see endless content. One of my favorites are the series of videos from a road trip they took to Inner Mongolia together, to see Ayunga’s homeland. It will bring a tear to your eye to see these two together.

I absolutely love them. They are just so awesome, both of them. And very deeply connected to GG, and also clearly friends with DD (Ayunga has appeared on DDU many times, and they've crossed paths in many other ways as well I'm sure).

So when turtles see them taking care of DD behind the scenes of the centennial celebrations they were all participating in, their hearts understandably melted a bit. There have been photos of them with DD, video of DD talking Ayunga’s ear off, etc. They’re looking out for Bobo. It's good to see him surrounded by friends.

whatever happens in the au, it's still in the au. how could varchies not be upset or frustrated with an au where archie is choosing to marry betty, wants to have a baby with her, etc? i mean, the context is key here, right? for archie to even consider being with betty, veronica can't have importance in his life. the other 100 episodes showed us how it is.

they gave us varchie in s5, a solid buildup with good pay off. then they had veronica dump archie so things could switch and they're gonna give b*rchie s6 so this ship has "its chance".

(let's not discuss how 3748383 chances they could've had and didn't take but well)

at some point, in this show, the bughead x b*rchie love triangle would play out. betty is a fan favorite, she's ras favorite character, she has most screentime than everyone in the show, and her only love interests so far have been the hero and the narrator here. this show thinks they're some noir excellency, i swear. did they play with this mess way too late in the show? yes, but it's what they're deciding to do, and we can't do anything about it.

also, there's the thing with reggie and veronica right now. that's upsetting for us too, right? (although if the ross reggie version is real, i will laugh forever) so yeah. maybe veronica tells archie she never loved him, only reggie. maybe archie tells veronica he never loved her, only betty. etc. etc. etc. but honestly, we know this isn't true and the 100th episode is not here to rewrite the story.

so, eh. i don't care. and if they hint to a future where bughead are together but so are veggie, or they hint to a 'is betty with archie or jughead?' future where veggie is together, or or or, it's whatever. varchie will be back when it can.

i know some of you think like "oh but this is the 100th episode and varchie was an important part of the show so why do we get-" well, planting any seeds for varchie there wouldn't make the babh thing plausible, right? and that's the story they're trying to tell now.

(think about some other thing too: in an episode that's jughead-centric, betty is def seen as more important to him than tabitha, who he's currently in a relationship with in both universes. so yeah.)

yadayadayada, if you're gonna watch the episode try to embrace the craziness and funny moments, and in the end of the day if ba plays out and doesn't work out in dale even if they are explored (exploring doesn't mean getting all the content in the world and getting married and 483884 babies and a house btw), then there was no need to panic.

I COMPLETELY agree with you. It's why I left the fandom really. There is only so much content us fans can produce before we get tired of it. And also, another example if you don't want to use animes since there is a whole production team working on just one anime. Markiplier... Like, while in the middle of working on this massive MASSIVE project he still made sure to produce videos. He still made small vlogs of him trying out different foods. Or of him playing horror games. He still made sure to produce content for his fans even while working on this project that took him over a year to do. Cause you know what? Unlike Thomas, mark actually CARES about his fans. Yes exactly! I'm not going to touch the anime side, because studios like MAPPA are notorious for poor employee treatment and uh... *coughs* Yuri on Ice season two/Ice Adolescence never coming despite never being cancelled. But I will talk about Markiplier!

Now, Markiplier and Thomas are both content creators, and while Mark may have a bigger following, the man *knows* how to run a business. And I fully think that that is one of the reasons why he does so well on the Youtube model.

He's able to balance his full time content creation with other projects- like what he did with Unus Annus (team unus for me btw) and even now, he's doing things like preparing for Markiplier in Space and other bigger things.

Mark is able to manage his team, his active content and his passive content really well and I think that he's an excellent example of a good creator. And when he needs breaks, he informs his audience and they get it. Even when there is people who are upset, at least they are getting information on why things may be delayed and or pushed back.

My biggest problem is that Thomas said that he was starting his patreon to make it so that he could produce Sanders Sides content faster and then he somehow is still putting out (sanders sides) videos at the same rate. And even then, it's been asides videos for the past two years which are- in Thomas' own words- not plot or story important.

And there are people that are saying "oh but Thomas is doing RSWR, oh Thomas is still doing other things'.... Most of us are here for the Sanders Sides stuff.

Once again, anon is right and I've been saying this as well. This is Thomas' job. He makes money off of it. It's one thing to be mad at fanfic creators and demand content updates from them- which is wrong, because they do it for free- and if Thomas was doing Sanders Sides for fun, I would not be this pressed about it. I would give him space just like how I do with other creators that do shit as a hobby.

But it's not.

This isn't his hobby, it's his job and he owes his audience updates. And not just his patreon audience, because they're paying extra. Also, I'm not touching the whole artist thing that went down with those fairytales, because I know precious little about it, but I do know that it was handled poorly.
