Yibo had some famous replies (and one interaction*) on his Instagram post. Pro skateboarder Shane O'Neill, and gold medal snowboarder (and GG co-star in The Wolf), Su Yiming. He's had public social media interactions with them both in the past (linked via their names above).

I am a big fan of both athletes, so it's always exciting to see them connect with Yibo!

*He didn't reply publicly to Shane, but that could have been because he decided to reply by contacting him directly.

This was, as is so frequently the case, a bone-chilling read. I have heard some of this type of thing before and it’s upsetting to say the least.

As for the rumors…

It seems to be true that there was an intention at some point to put WQ in a romantic role with WWX. Whether that was the production company hedging their bets and taping some scenes as backup or whether it was a full-on plan to heterosexualize the story we’ll probably never know, but I think there exists enough evidence to support the claim that she was in some way and at some point presented as a romantic interest for WWX. Among that evidence is BTS footage of GG angrily saying those scenes should be deleted.

If that was ever the plan, if they ever did make those changes, I suspect it would probably have been an attempt by the team to find ways to ensure the show would pass censorship and get aired.

Now, what I don’t believe for a hot second is that this one actress single-handedly changed the story and the plan in order to further her own career. It strikes me as utter BS, and so misogynistic. To me she looks like a victim and a scapegoat in the situation. She certainly nailed her role, and had more than enough talent to be chosen on her merits alone.

As for Yubin and the rumors about him being a GG anti or trying to come between GG and DD, I find the notion pretty foolish. The fact that he stuck his neck out in support of GG kind of puts the lie to that whole rumor about him and I hope people can let it go.

Those poor Wens. Such tragic figures...

Hello! I have a question related to your answer for your previous anon's question (WQ and WWX backup plan).

So the book fans knew about the backup plan and the actress who played W/Q got cyberbullied. I wanna ask why did that happened (sry if this is a dumb question), because even though she's the one who's playing W/Q, wasn't she just went with the script? I mean she wasn't the one who get to decide wether to film a backup or not.

I can understand the displeasure of the book fans, but is it 'normal' (I can't find the right word for it, English isn't my first language, sry) to get to the point where she was bullied for that? Is there any similar incidents occured to other actor(s)/actress(es) in the past because of the change of script/story?
