Hello! And the reason for this, I would like to direct you to this excellent answer by @empireofdirt which puts it in better words than I can explain. The ask is about screencaps, but it applies to gifs too.

I'm sure Anon you have good intension but things will get messy once it gets reposted once. It will invite other reposting which I will not be able to keep a track of. Even a half dead blog like mine have had an incident where a cdrama gif was posted on a political rant thread, and it had nothing to do with Chinese dramas at all!! I can't imagine what other content creators have to deal with on a daily basis, it's probably best if we together as a community just stick with reblogging and not open any cans of worms.
