near death experience…

It was all meant to be a bit of fun. If she listened to her mama though she would not be working towards her dream of being one of the number one heroes. How she came to her powers was nothing all that thrilling like the legends you greek tragedies or ones adorn on comic pages. Her near death experience was a moment of stupidity really, she knew better not to go skating on frozen lakes. Even though she had done it a thousand times before! When the ice started to crack, she thought she would have enough time one more spin before taken to a frozen watery grave, as the shards of ice broke beneath her feet. She remembers the cold, her temperature dropping. Then seeing this mysterious blue light...it was strange. But sometime strange can be good, leading to the weird and wonderful world of her powers. Not giving up, with her body temperature dropping, as she looked up with the hint of light she saw, swimming up. She knew the struggle would come, slipping as she pulled herself up with ease. Yet that didn't happen, her hands touched the ice and instead of a slippery grasp, her hold was firm and tight like grasping tightly from the rope. It was strange and unusual little did she know...that was her first time using her powers.

Friction Manipulation: Allows Sabryna the ability to control and manipulate friction. With her power, she is able to alter the level of friction between objects and surfaces in a wide range of possibilities that alter some basic laws of physics. In order to activate the power, she must physically touch the surface she wishes to alter. She does not need to touch every individual surface, such as if she touched a wall, her alternation will apply to all walls in the area not just the single wall she has made contact with. 

LEVEL ONE: BASIC FRICTION MANIPULATION 

During this stage of her power development, she is only able to apply her power to small surface areas, as she progresses through her power leveling, the surface area will also increase. For now, she is only able to manipulate any surface that is the size of both her hands and feet.  During this stage, she is only able to alter the friction of herself and surfaces, she is not yet able to affect other people’s own friction.  

Friction Glide: allows to increase speed and movement by reducing the friction between her feet and the chosen surface. A way that she tends to travel in order to arrive at the scene swiftly and quickly. However, lacks very much control and coordination.  Her speed and coordination will increase the better she gains her power. When Friction glide is activated, a soft glow will shine from behind the activated contacted surfaces. 

Friction Reduction:  this move allows the user to decrease the amount of friction between surfaces and objects resulting in smoother movement and reduced resistance. This allows Sabryna to make slippery surfaces, minimising the friction that hinders motion. When a surface is selected to be reduced it will glow a light shade of blue until engaged with another surface.  This effect is only temporary and will fade in time. 

Friction Increase: this allows her to increase the friction between objects or surfaces, providing a stronger grip or enhancing stability. She can create a rougher surface or increase the coefficient of friction, making it harder for objects to slide. When a surface is selected to be increased it will glow a dark shade of blue until engaged with another surface.  This is only temporary and will fade in time. 

Friction Awareness: gives her the ability to sense and perceive the level of friction in her environment, allowing her to make informed decision-making. She is able to detect the amount of friction present, her eyes glaze a soft tinted blue as she is scanning her surroundings looking at the gauge to if it is high or low and is able to adjust it accordingly through her touch. The range that she is able to detect will increase the stronger she gets with her power. 

Looking at the levels of friction she has the capacity to control is playing around with Dry Friction, however, she is is experimenting around with fluid friction, skin friction, Lubricated fiction and Internal friction.

drawbacks / vulnerabilities… 

Balance and Coordination Challenges: she is clumsy without her powers, when she is constantly altering the interactions between the body and environment she is disrupting her limited balance and coordination. She is always falling over, the more she uses her power the more likely she is to misstep and fall over due to her unbalanced center of gravity. For her, she is finding it far more difficult to ice skate, due to the the change of center of gravity.

Joint Stress: when constantly altering friction levels she is adding extra stress on her joints, especially when performing high-speed movement or sudden changes in direction. This can lead to joint pain, inflammation or even long-term joint damage if she does not look after herself properly.

Tendon and Ligament Strain: The sudden acceleration or deceleration caused by friction manipulation can put a strain on tendons and ligaments. This can result in sprains, strains, or even tears if the forces applied exceed the body's limits. Motion Sickness and fainting: the movement is not something that she is used to. When she overuses her control she tends to get spouts of motion sickness, that tend to make her vomit a sparkling array similar to how her powers seem to be active.

She auditioned, it was no easy fate but she will filled with determination. There was one hero who saved her, one who showed her kindness and a smile she will never forget. Something about that encounter always stuck with her. It was her drive, a motivation something that drove her more to pushing her dream into being a reality. She wants to be a part of the change of the world, do something that is greater than herself. Cerberus Corp is a place that can offer that...so she was going to do everything that she can. It might have taken a few tries but...there is something about her powers that has the potential to be more than just a simple slip and slide.

003.  EXTRA

⛸️ She is always utterly messy, it has just been the way that she always has been. Some people might even call her a hoarder but that is not the case, Sabryna just does not like being wasteful with her stuff. Her family grew up being pretty tight with money, so judge her if you want or don't.

⛸️Family situation, basically a tight knit small family with a little sister, a supportive mother and strained relationship with her father, who is a cop, he is someone who doesn't believe the world needs saving my fancy heroes in costumes that the law should stay in the hands of the law. Does not support his daughter at her, still communicate but they don't really talk about work otherwise a lot of arguments would occur.

⛸️Misses the closeness of her family. Like board game nights. As much as an introvert she can be at times, she loves the company of her friends...maybe her found family in New York.

⛸️Use to compete as a Figure Skater, helped her with her scholarship, she was a women in Stem and studied Engineering, something that her father encouraged her with since she was a little girl.

First look at the next one shot I Will Follow You Anywhere

It looked like Hell was reigning down on the Moon. Everywhere Princess Serenity looked, her people were dying. She watched as Beryl's infected minions came after her people and slaughtered them. Despair washed over her. She then screamed as Sailor Mercury was stabbed through the heart and fell dead.

Endymion pulled her close, "Darling, Serenity, don't fear. I will protect you."

"Everyone is dying. It isn't me that I am afraid for. I don't know what to do!" she began to cry.

He lifted her chin and kissed away her tears. "I am with you. Stay with me, and don't give up hope."

She nodded and clung to him. She believed him when he said he would help her through this. He was always there for her. She trusted him.

He started to lead her away from the fighting in the courtyard when she saw Sailor Venus. She smiled and was about to shout for her when, to her horror, more minions showed up. She missed what happened in the chaos, but when it was done, Sailor Venus laid on the cold stone, dead. Serena ran to her, only to find her head at an odd angle and a vacant look in her eyes. She wept over her fallen friend.

Endymion caught up to her and pulled her into his embrace. "I am so sorry. You know she was a dear friend to me too. I know you were even closer with her. We need to get you away from here. She would want you safe."

Princess Serenity nodded and took his hand as they started running. He held onto her tightly, and she found strength from his firm grip.

Then, to her horror, Beryl, dripping with evil energy, loomed up in front of them. She sneered at Serenity. She said, "I am going to kill your Moon-whore, and then you will be mine, Endymion!"

"Never!" he shouted. "I will never marry anyone, but her."

"You won't have a choice!" she suddenly blasted evil energy at Serenity. She cackled as she anticipated her death.

Serenity was devastated when she watched Endymion jump in front of her and take the full blast of Beryl's attack. She dropped to her knees and looked for signs of life. Nothing. There was nothing. What she found was a gaping whole in his chest where his heart used to be.

She wept, completely ignorant of Beryl's screams.

She looked around and the noise and horror of battle overwhelmed her. She reached and picked up Endymion's fallen sword. She kissed his lips and said, "I will follow you anywhere." She then plunged the sword in her chest and breathed her last.

All of a sudden, there was a beautiful woman standing in front of her. She said, "My beloved daughter, I give you a second chance at life, and love, in a time of peace."

Serena woke up weeping that morning.

As she got ready for class, the whole experience haunted her. She couldn't figure out why she felt like it was more than a dream. She was sure it was though. Something about it just felt true. She looked at herself in the mirror, and to her shock, her hair lightened to silver. She startled and looked again. It was back to its normal golden blonde.

She huffed as she looked at her class schedule. Her second year of University meant taking classes that pertained to her political science major. She had to take English, and she was not looking forward to it. At all.

She walked into class and stopped dead in her tracks. There, talking to some other classmate was him, it was Endymion. How was that possible? As if she had called out to him, he turned to look at her instantly. His face transformed to one of shock.

That morning had already been a long one for Darien. He had woken to the usual dreams, or not dreams. He was sure that they were memories of a past life. As ridiculous as that sounded, he admitted that there was something in them that rang true.

He huffed and admitted he wanted them to be true. He dreamed of a beautiful Princess that adored him. Who wouldn't want that?

Something in his gut gnawed at him. He grew more and more desperate to find her. He only hoped when he did, that she would remember him too. He couldn't stomach the idea that she wouldn't already be in love with him too. He craved that kind of love. As an orphan, he hadn't ever been loved, and now he remembered the love of a soulmate. He desperately wanted that in his life.

He smiled as he looked at his first class that day. He was going to be taking English. He was excited to learn more so that he could read medical research papers in his career. They were predominantly written in English now.

He walked to class with his friend Zoisite. The both managed to take the same class together. It was hard working that out with both of their busy class loads. Darien was glad he would have someone equally proficient to study with.

He stood in the classroom speaking to him when he felt an intense need to turn around. When he did, it felt like all of the air left his lungs. He was shocked. It was her.

On the bad nights, when he slept, he had fought for her night after night. On the good ones, he held her in his arms and kissed her. And now here she was, flesh and blood, staring at him. He didn't even excuse himself. He just walked away from his friend and up to her.

She said in a breathy tone, "This time my name is Serena."

"Darien." he replied. He then swept her into his arms and kissed her.

Part Six of my headcanon on Usagi's and Mamoru's breakup.

(Which doesn't even feature Mamoru anymore, to be honest. So uh, yeah, I'll soon be coming up with a more appropriate title for this extended headcanon.)

Usagi left her bedroom to go look for Chibiusa, but that didn't take very long at all. After leaving her room, Usagi realized just how late it was. All the lights in the house were off and the whole Tsukino family had gone to bed. But Usagi did hear rustling coming from the kitchen, so she went to investigate.

Chibiusa was spotted raiding the family fridge, looking for something sweet to eat to help shake off all the stress from earlier in the the day.

Usagi flipped on the kitchen light switch, asking Chibiusa if she was okay. Usagi was prepared to apologize to her after her response.

"Usagi," Chibiusa began to request. "Can we go to the beach tomorrow?"

"Um, sure," Usagi replied. "Whatever you want, that's fine by me."

"Thanks, Usagi," Chibiusa responded and went right back to raiding the fridge. Usagi flicked the kitchen light switch back off and decided to save her apology for tomorrow.

The next day, Usagi and Chibiusa both took the bus over to the beach, as planned. They were both pretty silent on the ride over, but once they arrived and got off the bus, they became a lot more talkative and excited about their beach excursion.

They found a good spot to set up their umbrella and towels, applied sunscreen, and then began to splash around in the shallow ocean waves. After about half an hour of doing that, Chibiusa decided to go back to their spot and start building a sandcastle. Usagi joined her about 30 minutes later, as she wanted to swim in the ocean for a while.

When Usagi came back to their setup spot, she was shocked to see how much progress Chibiusa had made on the sandcastle.

"Wow, Chibiusa," Usagi congratulated her. "This is really good! It looks a lot like the Moon Kingdom palace from the Silver Millennium, doesn't it?"

"Good as in accurate, yes," Chibiusa said without taking her eyes off her sand construction. "But it's not a good place. Not at all."

"What do you mean?" Usagi inquired. "And how do you know so much about the Silver Millennium?"

"Because I've been there," Chibiusa started.

"What?? When?? And why??"

"Not too long before I came back to the 20th century. I just had to meet my grandmother, or I guess the person would've been my grandmother had the Moon Kingdom not fallen. But honestly, and this may sound fucked up but I really don't care anymore: I'm glad it fell."

"Chibiusa!! How can you say that?!? Innocent people lost their lives, you know."

"That I don't like, of course. But I mean, why did Queen Serenity just resurrect you, Endymion, and the rest of the Sailor Senshi? What about all the other people who served under her rule? Did you ever think about that?"

"Not really, but...maybe she just didn't have the energy to save everyone? Especially since she was, you know, dying?"

"I guess," Chibiusa reluctantly agreed. She paused for about ten seconds. "It just doesn't make sense, then."

"What doesn't make sense?" Usagi asked.

"Why my mother, Neo Queen Serenity, acts so differently from you and Princess Serenity. I was hoping I would find some answers if I traveled to the Silver Millennium, but it seems like all I brought back with me is heartbreak and bitterness."

"Differently? In what way? You mean more mature?"

"See, that's what everybody says about her, but if maturity causes a person to become cold-hearted, then I don't want to have anything to do with it."

"Wait, what? Cold-hearted?"

"Usagi, she doesn't care about how I feel! I don't want to be the future queen of a realm where the worth of my existence is solely dependent on my royal status. And even then, the other kids still bully me for not acting like their idealized version of what a princess and future queen should be. It's like, shit, I'm just being myself, sorry that isn't good enough for you."

"Wait, are you serious? You still get bullied?"

"Oh yeah, and my mother refuses to do anything constructive about it. She'll just say 'sorry, dear' in the most monotone voice and then either change the subject or start talking to someone else entirely."

"Well, have you ever asked her to do something about it?"

"Just once. It was after the last time I got bullied. You wanna know how she responded to me? She said 'I can't make people change how they think. After all, you still think being a Sailor Senshi is more important than your duties to the throne.' After she said that, that's when I left for the Silver Millennium."

"She just let you leave?"

"No, but she couldn't stop me from going. Not on her own. She gave up her powers to be the queen, remember? And she didn't want to call up other Sailor Senshi and cause a scene. She's super concerned with appearances, you know."

By this point, Chibiusa had finished building her sand replica of the Moon Castle. Then, she stood up.

"I'm sorry for all the innocent people who died on the day the Moon Kingdom fell," Chibiusa announced. Then, she pointed at her sandcastle. "But this place is still a symbol of the ideals that the oppressive monarchy I grew up under holds so dearly. And because of that, I'm glad it's gone. I wish it could've been under different circumstances, but I'm glad it's gone."

And then, Chibiusa deliberately jumped on top of her sandcastle and smashed it. She then collapsed to the ground, sobbing. "I'm glad it's gone!!!"

Usagi immediately rushed to her side and gave her a big hug.

"Usagi," Chibiusa sniffled. "I'm not going back to the 30th century. You can't make me go back."

"I'm not," Usagi assured her. "I wouldn't. I'm here for you, whatever you need. You can stay here as long as you'd like, even if that's for forever."

"Thank you, Usagi."

And in that moment, the teenaged Usagi had acted like more of a mother to Chibiusa than her actual mother had been.

Heartbreak Red Takeover 2021

Heartbreak Red’s “Delayed April Fools” 2021! This year the Heartbreak Red twitter Q&A session happened on April 3 instead of April 1. (Probably because Tsukino Productions dropped that huge 20 minute April Fools video instead lol). Heartbreak Red answers people’s tweets that have the hashtag #失恋ポスト (#heartbreak post) and are categorized as Advice, Message, Request, and Other.

Sailor Moon is the only series where I have different ships depending on the adaption. For the most part, manga and anime have the same ships, but the absolute curveball that was PGSM (my favorite adaption, hands down) gave me a TON of new ships I’d have never considered otherwise, who I DON’T ship in the manga/anime.

1. Usagi/Mamoru. Across all adaptions, I ship these two, and the reason is actually funny. I never used to like either of them, so I just shoved them together. It wasn’t until PGSM that I ever liked Usagi at all. I found her to be whiney and annoying in the anime, and once I got my hands on the manga, my dislike of anime Usagi had permeated too deep for me to like manga Usagi. PGSM Usagi is a much more expanded concept of Usagi as a whole, and Mamoru (while still embodying Sailor Moon’s very own Princess Peach) has a whole arc of development and backstory himself. PGSM is the only adaption in which I like Mamoru, even now.

2. Ami/Nephrite, PGSM only. PGSM has a whole side story for many of its minor characters and expands on the girls outside of the concept of senshi. Tbh PGSM is a slice of life show disguised as a tokusatsu, and it’s super apparent in how they treat the characters. Ami has an entire arc of her own where she ends up brainwashed and has several scenes with Nephrite, who is sort of the black sheep of the Shitennou for reasons that are never explained. This fledging relationship continues after Nephrite is reincarnated as human and it’s really cute to see Ami develop outside of her relationship with Usagi (her strongest relationship in this series) and the girls. Nephrite is hotheaded and angry at the world and Ami makes him just so soft.

3. Ami/Zoisite, manga and Crystal. While I very much detest the first two seasons of Crystal for their abominable animation (through no fault of the animators, I blame Toei and their complete disregard of their fans and employees), I DO like that they tried to work in the senshi/Shitennou romance that Naoko hinted at in the art books. It was stupid rushed but it’s the only incarnation that really attempts it. I wish it had had time to develop.

4. Rei/Minako, PGSM only. PGSM only deals with the Dark Kingdom (sadly) and Rei/Minako are its Haruka/Michiru. I actually ship them harder than I ship PGSM Usagi/Mamoru. Several episodes are given over to the development of their relationship, which is not easy to do given the way they took Minako in this series, and Rei is the only one of the girls to even have a real relationship with Minako, even over Usagi. They trust each other on a deep level, and fight with each others’ weapons at two critical points in the series.

5. Minako/Zoisite, PGSM only. Zoisite in this series, like most of the Shitennou, differs drastically from his manga and anime component, and I actually really like this one more than I like him in the anime and manga. Beryl’s hold on Zoisite is the weakest of all the Shitennou, and he spends his time doing exactly three things: playing piano, pining over Mamoru Endymion, and stalking Minako. (Truth be told, I enjoy his relationship with Endymion more, but the one with Minako leads into my next point.)

6. Minako/Kunzite, anime and manga. Minako managed to bag not one but two Shitennou with her love powers and that is a FEAT. You get it, girl. I really like the dynamic of two leaders together, and really enjoy Silver Millennium Minako/Kunzite fics.

7. Makoto/Motoki, PGSM only. This was another fun little thing PGSM did, and Makoto is the only other senshi to have a confirmed relationship in the series. Motoki himself is pretty fleshed out for a minor character, with his own little quirks (turtles!), and he is over the moon for Makoto. By the end of the series they’re engaged.

8. Haruka/Michiru, anime and manga. Who DOESN’T ship HaruMichi? I actually shipped HaruMichi way before I ever shipped anyone else on this list. Along with Touya/Yukito from Cardcaptor Sakura, they were THE definition of LGBTQ+ relationships (for me) for much of my childhood. They have an extremely adult relationship, possibly even an open relationship (or at least Michiru seems to have no problem with Haruka’s flirting hobby), which isn’t really something you see often in anime. I love them, they are goals.

9. Haruka/Michiru/Setsuna, anime and manga. Very specifically during the time they are raising Hotaru. Sometimes a family can be three moms and their child the incarnation of death and destruction and that’s beautiful. They’re just such a cohesive unit that I have a hard time believing that they live together and HaruMichi HAVEN’T invited Setsuna to join them from time to time. They’re also the first OT3 I ever shipped.

10. Helios/Chibiusa, anime and manga. I think the Helios/Chibiusa shippers are as numerous as the Usagi/Mamoru shippers tbh. Like Mamoru, Helios also is a damsel in distress for much of his arc (I guess the Tsukinos have a type, which raises some interesting questions about Ikuko and Kenji), and what I really liked was that, despite the single kiss they shared, it was never really pushed on us? I think Chibiusa/Helios is the first thing I ever shipped without the source material directly telling me to do so, because I wanted them together SO BAD and was SO PISSED they weren’t. 

11. Chibiusa/Hotaru, anime and manga. Another ship I put together on my own with no direction from the source material, and the first lesbian ship I ever did that with. They are just too close and love each other too much, and Chibiusa shares more pictures with Hotaru in official media (art books, stills, promo art) than her supposed future love interest Helios! They’re just a very sweet ship, two girls trying to figure out love and stuff. 

12. Setsuna/Endymion, anime and manga. Setsuna has a thing for Endymion, but never really seems to transfer that to Mamoru. I do like unrequited ships, and this one is my favorite.

HONORABLE MENTION

1. Ami/Usagi, PGSM. Ami has a huge lesbian crush on Usagi in this version. I’m not even making this up. She ends up brainwashed due to her insecurity and depression that Usagi is replacing her by making more friends and getting a boyfriend. Usagi, of course, is oblivious.

2. Kunzite/Zoisite, classic anime. Classic anime gave us (female) Zoisite and Kunzite (named Malachite in the dub I watched) as a couple, which I actually really enjoyed. I remember being disappointed when I read the manga and Zoisite was not only not female but also not banging Malachite. They were another adult relationship, way before HaruMichi existed, that I looked forward to seeing onscreen. I’m cool now with Zoisite not being female, and Malachite’s real name being Kunzite, but I still really like their relationship in classic. Plus, they’re the only ship that can crossover the adaptions in my brain to form the ultimate ot3 Minako/Zoisite/Kunzite. You get it, Minako.

It’s rarely for Proccela for dressing black costume but there is no doubt that they are stunning as when they’re wearing white costumes 🤩

Kai is become more and more like a king as ever, that alpha’s vibe is driving me crazy and Shun is elegant as always. And yet, he like his queen!!!! I don’t know what’s is Kai holding? And OMG he is even drop his hat, such a dummy 😂

Leave all these wonderful things aside, I kinda sad when I see theirs knees. We are a bit luckily when compared with ours neighbor (GRAVI), the black pants make them harder to recognize the anatomy error.

Analysis: Chiba Mamoru

Chiba Mamoru is probably the best and most recognizable difference between the manga and the anime. He’s also the one I most often see mischaracterized or misunderstood by people outside of the fandom. (*cough cough* my brother *cough cough*) I wanted to briefly go over his history, magic and personality. So enjoy and let me know what you think!

Alright, let’s get cracking into this with Chiba’s bio. 

Like a surprising amount of the Senshi, Chiba Mamoru’s childhood is tragic. At age 6, his parents died in a car crash and he received retrograde amnesia from the incident. He begins to have dreams about a girl begging for the Silver Crystal, which I think was his subconscious letting him know what was important. (He could have been partially awakened at this point. He’s definitely not surprised by his powers or transformations, even shown healing himself in high school.) Not realizing the truth about the girl or the Silver Crystal, he actually goes into jewel thievery which now I want a fanfiction about Chiba being the Phantom Thief and Mina being the vigilante to stop him. And instead of the whole sexy route, she’s just done with his bs and drags him to Usagi. Right sorry, back on track.

What we know about Endymion is that he is the prince of Elysion, holder of the Golden Crystal (Earth’s version of the SC) and that he has four guards, the Shittenou. It’s not a lot, but we can assume some things. He was not the king, so he had family who did. He was probably also not in the direct line to rule as he did not care that Serenity is a higher station than him and he’d have to go live on the Moon. My headcanon about Elysion is that it is some sort of city-state that existed in a neutral mediating facility due to the GC favoring their line.

Despite the vast differences between the manga and anime variations, Chiba Mamoru has a few defining features. He’s intelligent, awkward and gentle. 

Manga: Chiba’s very straight laced. The most dressed down we get is a button-down polo shirt. However, he’s shown to be sweet with both Usagi and Chibiusa, comforting the latter with a puppet when she’s upset. 

Anime: Chiba is a lot more dorky than his original iteration. He banters with Usagi, he’s got a horrible fashion statement. And he messes up, I’m certain after the whole break up during the Black Moon Clan arc, he had a lot of apologizing to do. 

I hear a lot of cracks about Chiba being useless (mostly from my brother) so please excuse me if I get catharsis from this. Chiba not useless; he’s a support class. He has exactly one attack (Tuxedo La Bomber); he has healing, enhancing and psychometry powers and has some sort of psychic connection with the Earth itself. He’s essentially a medic with some druid leanings, not quite a cleric that would be all Usagi. You even see him act as life support for Chibiusa in the manga when she’s temporarily killed. Also, how much of his magic is tied up in the Earth? He’s the only one we see with a living planet, that’s got to affect something and could explain why he has such a strange transformation. And we don’t see any other male Senshi so I at least can’t tell if it’s because he is male or because of the living planet business. (Kakyuk’s planet was destroyed by Galaxia so we can’t tell from her either)

He has been shown to being weak to possession, which in the three cases it happened in the manga there were extenuating circumstances. First one, in the Dark Kingdom, he had been badly injured and probably infected by the DK’s energy. Second one, either Wiseman or Black Lady turned him into her puppet. Third one was Galaxia and everyone got possessed plus Galaxia was the one person Moon couldn’t defeat so I think he gets a pass there. It may also be that because of his amnesia from the car crash, he is simply more susceptible to possession.

One thing I wanted to talk about was his fashion, or at least his anime fashion since that was what was available on Google. Look at this wonderful disaster man: 

Now I am well aware that some of these horrors is simply because the story is based in late 80s, early 90s so some outfits has not aged well. His standard outfit just begins the awfulness: an olive green blazer, black turtleneck and lilac purple slacks. It’s the color choices...I’d say just slap on a pair of jeans. but apparently this boy loves the color so much that Neo Endymion has an entire suit made out of it. Even just changing that awful blazer to a dark gray color would make a much nicer outfit. There’s the fashion inspired by the day: the popped collar of the green and yellow shirt, the two-toned shirt in the top right corner (not awful, just dated) and what I’m assuming to be a lazy day outfit just below that. Then we come to...the rolls. It’s just...why? How?! It makes no sense! The only outfit I actually like here is that pink shirt, he does formal wear very well. The rolled up sleeves, the top button undone, it’s a very nice outfit. He looks very sexy...who chose it for him?

In short, Chiba Mamoru is the perfect love interest for Tsukino Usagi who was revolutionary in that she was the hero and protector. He balances her out and supports her, whether it’s to stay behind or right there in the thick of things. He’s a bit dorky, his fashion sense is all over the place and he has trouble talking to people who don’t push themselves into his life like Usagi did. He’s a healer and not a macho man and he’s OK with that. In a time where there are Gokus and Narutos wrecking up shit, Chiba Mamoru is frankly, a breath of fresh air. He’s a gentle quiet man, content to take back stage and help his wife kick ass.

...Also, I need a fic where Mamoru’s trying to rope in both Naruto and Goku, pretty please.
