happy dadfucker friday <3 do you think dean looks back on his years with john fondly, or does he have some regrets? does he wish john had treated him more like a normal son, or is he thankful for what he got to share with his dad?

so with the way dean slowly realises over canon how fucked up his childhood/John's expectations were - i sort of see his realisation about any sexual relationship he had with john catching up with him at the same time. i feel like he was always deeply aware that it was fucked up - john looking at him every now and then with the worst shame in his eyes wouldn't have helped - but i can see him at the time kind of romanticising it? no one else could understand how they live, they only have each other, you can't help who you fall in love with etc - and it would have been totally john's fault that Dean felt that way. he always taught dean to centre him and his needs. dean never got to grow into his own person, only further into john. and i think realising that would kill dean. not just for the fact of it itself; but also the idea that the man he loves and idolises so much could do that to him. and i think dean would still love and idolise him. i think he'd miss what they had horribly. i think a part of him would hate john it for it. i think it would be awful and confusing.

and it would leave dean being unable to love someone genuinely without centring them entirely. this is why i'm such a believer in the johndean to samdean pipeline. i know its controversial probs but to me samdean couldn't have happened if johndean didn't lay the foundation. if john hadn't taught them such a messed up version of love.

anyway i'm rambling now. i also wrote a fic on this exact topic once which probably articulates my thoughts better than this answer .

The newly crowned King of the Riddermark made it almost an entire day out sailing with Imrahil's children without notable incident--until, upon arriving back at the docks of Dol Amroth, he finds himself slipping off the dock and into a fisherman's catch (years later he'd still not be convinced it wasn't Amrothos who pushed him). Despite his embarrassment over the blunder, it wasn't ALL for naught, for it prompted the usually stoic Princess Lothíriel to attempt a heroic rescue, and her boisterous laughter at the seaweed caught in his beard was enough for Éomer to forgive the situation :)

SO a while back,, (back in MAY 2024), I asked (I think) for Eothirial themed sketch requests. @konartiste requested: "Lothíriel is laughing at Éomer making a fool of himself."

Ahhhh Thank you for sending in this prompt I really enjoyed sketching this and coming up with a lil story for the request :D Hoping to finish up the rest of the sketch prompts/requests sitting in my askbox over the next few months :>

OLNF Week Day 5: Sci-fi

this was heavily inspired by those alien cat memes. in this au, i like to think nadine and cheyomi would be siblings. they were hatched from an egg or something. incubator buddies?? :3c

these two are on their first mission on earth to conduct research on the local environment. they’re not supposed to interact with the humans but they’re just so fascinating. they can’t help it if they watch the locals from afar (especially two particularly interesting individuals) and are incidentally spotted…. oops.

nadine and cheyomi panic at first thinking they blew their mission but to their surprise, the two humans approach them. they declare a new side mission! observe (befriend) the two humans!

I kinda maybe put a lot of my OC plot tag lines on a Wheel and gave it a spin so outta 79 options, it landed on "Cellphone Justice" which is... these two.

Matthew "Skittles" Mouse and Daisy Eddington

Partners in justice (of sorts). They're basically vigilantes and their orders are simply text messages. They don't really know who their bosses are but they do as they are told.

Skittles is a very mediocre guy. Doesn't stand out. The most color he has in his wardrobe is blue jeans. He's amazingly asexual and has zero interest in romance regardless of intimacy and yet he gets partnered with Daisy. The gayest lady he has ever met. Great start. She enjoys calling him fun little nicknames but seeing as they're monitored closely (via cell phones/technology) she is scolded and told to pick a single one. So she does. She dubs him Skittles. The candy as gay as her.

The one thing they have in common is their number one weakness: cute girls.

Daisy turns into a stuttering MESS of a human being. A disaster. At the mere sight of a cute girl. Skittles on the other hand is TERRIFIED of them. When asked, he simply blames his life growing up. Daisy doesn't really push the matter just thinks it's a little weird to be scared of every single cute girl (no offense to the not being afraid of her taken).

findin' this one was easy. my first thought was to go to the address listed in the image. but when that proved to be a waste of time, i went on down to the Search Bar to ask my pal, Don Google, for "viralthings tumblr anxious it becomes," which yielded results rather instantly. i went ahead and filed the post away for safe keeping.

here ya go! now, i've never been to a Waffle House, but i'm gonna assume that this is exactly what it's like. have a great day!

day 5: duty

i was unable to catch up on the prompts i'm behind, so take this rushed illustration/painting i did! i know a lot of people would probably think about this as the souls part of asgore's character for an angsty prompt but i decided to do things a little differently and draw asgore holding an umbrella over MK's head, which is a throwback to the scene they have with frisk telling them about asgore coming to their school and how he teaches them about responsibility. i think we often forget about the softer, gentler aspects to asgore when it comes to his kingdom and his duties, hence why i decided to go with this route in this prompt.
