Mastering Positive Parenting Communication: Building Stronger Bonds
Effective communication lies at the heart of positive parenting, fostering trust, understanding, and mutual respect between parents and children. This blog delves into the principles and practices of positive parenting communication, offering insights and practical tips to nurture a supportive and harmonious family environment.
Understanding Positive Parenting Communication
Positive parenting communication focuses on fostering a deep connection with your child through empathy, active listening, and clear, respectful dialogue. It emphasizes building a relationship based on trust and open communication, where children feel safe expressing their thoughts, feelings, and concerns.
Key Elements of Positive Parenting Communication
1. Active Listening
Active listening involves giving your full attention to your child when they speak, showing empathy, and validating their feelings. It means listening without interrupting or judging, allowing your child to express themselves fully.
Tips:
Maintain eye contact and use non-verbal cues to show you are listening.
Paraphrase what your child says to ensure understanding.
Avoid distractions and give them your undivided attention during conversations.
2. Use of Positive Language
Positive parenting communication encourages the use of encouraging and supportive language that builds confidence and self-esteem in children. It involves framing feedback and requests positively, focusing on what can be done rather than what cannot.
Tips:
Instead of saying "Don't run," say "Please walk."
Offer praise and encouragement for effort and achievements.
Use "I" statements to express your feelings and avoid blame or criticism.
3. Setting Clear Expectations
Clear communication of expectations helps children understand boundaries and responsibilities, fostering a sense of security and structure. It involves discussing rules and consequences calmly and collaboratively, ensuring mutual understanding.
Tips:
Explain rules and expectations clearly and consistently.
Discuss reasons behind rules to help children understand their importance.
Encourage children to participate in setting family rules when appropriate.
4. Resolving Conflicts Peacefully
Positive parenting communication teaches children constructive ways to resolve conflicts and manage emotions. It involves teaching problem-solving skills, encouraging compromise, and modeling respectful conflict resolution.
Tips:
Encourage children to express their feelings and listen to each other.
Teach negotiation skills and help find win-win solutions.
Model calmness and respect during disagreements.
5. Building Trust and Connection
Positive communication strengthens the parent-child bond, creating a nurturing environment where children feel valued and understood. It involves showing empathy, being emotionally available, and maintaining consistent communication.
Tips:
Spend quality time together and engage in activities your child enjoys.
Share stories and experiences to foster conversation and connection.
Respect your child's privacy and encourage them to share their thoughts and experiences.
Benefits of Positive Parenting Communication
Enhanced Relationship: Builds a strong, trusting bond between parent and child.
Improved Behavior: Encourages positive behavior and reduces conflict.
Boosted Self-Esteem: Helps children develop confidence and a positive self-image.
Effective Discipline: Makes discipline more effective and less punitive.
Emotional Intelligence: Promotes emotional awareness and healthy emotional expression.
Implementing Positive Parenting Communication
Practice Patience: Effective communication takes time and effort. Be patient with yourself and your child as you navigate these strategies.
Lead by Example: Model the behaviors and communication styles you want your child to adopt.
Seek Support: Connect with other parents, join parenting groups, or seek guidance from a counselor or parenting coach for additional support.
Conclusion
Positive parenting communication is a powerful tool for nurturing a loving and supportive family environment. By practicing active listening, using positive language, setting clear expectations, resolving conflicts peacefully, and building trust and connection, parents can strengthen their relationship with their children and empower them to thrive emotionally and socially. Embrace these principles of positive parenting communication and watch your family bond grow stronger each day.

This is interesting 🤔
*Record scratch* *Freeze frame* Yep, that’s us. You’re probably wondering how we got here.
The internet is changing, and with it, social media. We partnered with Archrival who asked Gen Z (aka, you) and Millennial folks (also you) what’s important to you in online communities. Some interesting trends emerged from those conversations, and we thought you might like to take a look and see what tracks for you.
The Trends:
Broken Social Scenes. Too much content, too little organic connection. You want something deeper.
Network Effect. You’re creating new networks that nurture belonging through intimacy, exclusivity, and IRL meet-ups. (Communities, anyone?)
The New Rules of Influence. Connections, not followers. Influencers that build trust and real engagement matter more to you than big numbers.
Community, According to you. Community building must be holistic. Social media must be social. Community is not a marketing strategy.

𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 - 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐎𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 *☾
Masterlist - YouTube (subliminals)
In astrology, Saturn is known as the "Great Teacher" or "Taskmaster." This planet governs discipline, responsibility, and the lessons learned through hard work and perseverance. Saturn's influence often brings challenges, delays, and restrictions, but it also offers the potential for growth, maturity, and wisdom. Saturn teaches us that lasting success is achieved through patience, careful planning, and a deep understanding of our limitations and strengths. While its lessons can be tough, they are ultimately transformative, helping us build a solid foundation for long-term achievements. In this post, I'll explore the general meaning of Saturn in astrology, discuss how to navigate its challenges, and explain where these lessons can lead in terms of personal and spiritual growth.
𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧
When Saturn is in Aries, it brings together two contrasting energies. Aries, driven by Mars, is all about action, initiative, and a pioneering spirit, while Saturn focuses on discipline, limitations, and patience. These two forces don’t naturally align—Saturn’s cautious, methodical approach can feel at odds with Aries’ impulsive and fast-paced nature. If you have Saturn in Aries, you might find it challenging to assert yourself confidently or feel held back when trying to take initiative. This placement encourages you to find a balance between acting on impulse and planning carefully, teaching you to channel Aries' fiery energy into disciplined and productive efforts.
Through the houses:
1st House: The lesson is to develop patience and self-mastery in expressing your identity and leadership by focusing on building inner confidence through disciplined self-improvement, ultimately resulting in a strong, resilient sense of self that commands respect and authority. 2nd House: The key lesson is to learn financial discipline and align your values with long-term goals by practicing careful financial planning and avoiding impulsive spending, leading to lasting financial stability and a deeper understanding of your values. 3rd House: The focus is on mastering clear and effective communication through precise expression and patient learning, which strengthens your communication skills and fosters solid relationships within your community. 4th House: The lesson involves building emotional security and stability at home by creating a strong, supportive foundation through patience and responsibility, ultimately achieving a secure, nurturing home environment and deep emotional resilience. 5th House: The challenge is to express creativity and love with responsibility and discipline by channeling creative impulses into structured, meaningful projects, which leads to fulfillment through disciplined creative expression and lasting joy in personal relationships. 6th House: The focus is on developing discipline in work, health, and daily routines by establishing consistent, healthy habits and a strong work ethic, resulting in success in work and robust health through disciplined daily practices. 7th House: The lesson is to learn patience and commitment in relationships by building them slowly, focusing on trust and mutual responsibility, which can lead to deep, enduring partnerships based on mutual respect and stability. 8th House: The key is to confront fears around transformation and shared resources by approaching change and intimacy with careful planning and emotional resilience, ultimately leading to empowerment through facing challenges, resulting in deep personal and financial security. 9th House: The lesson involves cultivating a disciplined pursuit of higher knowledge and beliefs by approaching learning and travel with patience and a structured mindset, leading to deep wisdom and strong, well-founded beliefs that guide your life. 10th House: The focus is on achieving career goals through persistent, disciplined effort by building your professional reputation slowly and focusing on long-term success, which results in significant career achievements and a lasting, respected legacy. 11th House: The lesson is to develop patience and responsibility in social networks and ambitions by building meaningful, stable friendships and pursuing goals with long-term planning, ultimately achieving your aspirations and strong, supportive social connections. 12th House: The key is to face inner fears and limitations with discipline by engaging in introspection and spiritual practices with patience and commitment, leading to deep spiritual growth and inner peace through overcoming personal challenges.
𝐓𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧
When Saturn is in Taurus, it highlights themes around stability, security, material possessions, and values. Taurus, ruled by Venus, is naturally associated with comfort, luxury, and the enjoyment of earthly pleasures. However, Saturn’s influence introduces a more cautious and disciplined approach to these areas. Achieving the comfort and security that Taurus desires often requires significant hard work, patience, and sustained effort under Saturn’s influence. This placement teaches important lessons about building a solid foundation, managing resources wisely, and adopting a consistent, long-term approach to material and financial matters. Saturn in Taurus challenges you to balance your desire for material wealth and comfort with the need for responsibility, careful planning, and long-term vision.
Through the houses:
1st House: The lesson is to develop a stable and grounded sense of self by building your identity on solid values and a patient approach to personal growth, leading to a strong, dependable self-image that others trust and respect. 2nd House: You learn to manage finances and resources with discipline by focusing on building wealth slowly through careful planning and saving, ultimately achieving long-term financial security and a deep sense of self-worth. 3rd House: The focus is on cultivating patience and consistency in communication and learning by approaching education and interactions with a steady, practical mindset, resulting in strong communication skills and reliable, well-developed knowledge. 4th House: The lesson involves building a secure and stable home life by creating a solid emotional and physical foundation for your family, which leads to a deeply rooted sense of security and a harmonious home environment. 5th House: You learn to express creativity and love in a stable, consistent manner by channeling your creative talents into enduring projects and cultivating lasting relationships, bringing fulfillment through disciplined creativity and stable, loving relationships. 6th House: The focus is on developing a consistent routine and disciplined approach to work and health by establishing and maintaining steady habits in your daily life and job, resulting in career success and robust health through a balanced lifestyle. 7th House: The lesson is to learn patience and responsibility in partnerships by building relationships on a foundation of trust, loyalty, and long-term commitment, leading to stable, enduring partnerships that bring mutual security and comfort. 8th House: You confront challenges related to shared resources and deep emotional bonds by approaching financial and emotional matters with caution and responsibility, leading to empowerment through managing shared resources wisely and achieving emotional stability. 9th House: The focus is on cultivating a grounded and practical approach to higher learning and beliefs by pursuing knowledge and spiritual growth with patience and real-world application, resulting in deep wisdom and well-established beliefs that guide your life with stability. 10th House: You achieve career success through persistent, disciplined effort by building your professional life on a foundation of reliability and long-term goals, leading to significant, lasting career achievements and a strong professional reputation. 11th House: The lesson is to develop patience and responsibility in social networks and long-term goals by pursuing friendships and ambitions with a steady, consistent approach, resulting in the fulfillment of your aspirations and strong, supportive social connections. 12th House: You learn to find stability and security within yourself, even in solitude, by engaging in introspection and spiritual practices with a focus on inner peace and self-sufficiency, leading to deep spiritual growth and a sense of inner security that transcends external circumstances.

Gemini, ruled by Mercury, typically thrives on quick thinking, versatility, and the exchange of ideas, but Saturn’s influence tends to slow these processes down, urging you to be more deliberate in your thoughts, communication, and learning. This placement often teaches the value of clear and precise communication, the benefits of structured and methodical thinking, and the necessity of developing patience in both learning and social interactions. Saturn in Gemini challenges you to transform your intellectual skills into something solid and dependable, emphasizing depth and substance over superficiality in all matters related to the mind and communication.

Cancer, governed by the Moon, is deeply connected to emotions, home, family, and a sense of security. 𝐋𝐞𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧

Leo, ruled by the Sun, is naturally associated with confidence, creativity, and a strong desire to lead and be recognized. However, Saturn's influence can make it challenging to express these qualities freely, often teaching important lessons about the responsible use of power, the need for humility, and the value of earning respect through consistent effort rather than simply expecting it. Story Idea
Telekinetic supervillain who REALLY loves historical architecture. Living in a superhero universe where heroes keep crashing through stained glass windows and leveling entire streets. As well as the normal corruption causing building to be demolished or “restored” in extremely destructive ways.
Kinda has Poison Ivy vibes, without any of the femme fatale trappings - her entire focus is preserving historical valuable buildings, and she doesn’t really care if humans that get in the way die. But she also isn’t going out of her way to kill people.
And the leader of the local superhero team can see where she’s coming from. And decides that just throwing her in jail every time she acts up is a sign they’re failing in their duty to protect the city. Instead, he starts trying to gain her trust. He doesn’t care that much about buildings, but he works on lessening his team’s collateral damage. He promises the supervillain that he’ll try to pressure the city government if she brings problems to him rather than taking them into her own hands. Eventually, he convinces her that she can protect the city’s infrastructure better by being on his team than she can on her own.
She’s incredibly helpful! She will keep burning buildings from collapsing until everyone can get out and the fire is extinguished. She’ll hold skyscrapers up while supervillains reign destruction down around them. She’ll deconstruct traps and grumpily direct her teammates towards the hidden mastermind who set them up. And when the crisis is over, she’ll see what can be salvaged and rebuild it if possible.
But she’s a PR nightmare.
Former Supervillain refuses to help people. She DOES NOT care. Your kid is trapped in the burning building? That is not her problem. Go bother someone else. Dude is holding a bunch of people hostage? It’s fine, he’s not causing any damage to the building he’s in.
People DO NOT like this attitude. People do not accept that she’s part of a team, and other heroes are capable of filling the “empathy” and “human rescuing” gaps.
And she’s high maintenance! The team frequently end up in situations where protecting lives is in conflict with protecting property. They take missions that mean very little to them, because they’re important to her. And the leader is constantly having to talk her out of rampages, pressuring the government to drop lucrative and unethical contracts, and making sure she’s sticking to the plan in the field. And she isn’t interested in interpersonal relationships or social niceties, so none of them are even doing this out of friendship!
-
Sometimes, you help someone not because they’ll be grateful, but because it will make your community better. Sometimes, you help the local drug addict not because he’s likely to turn his life around, but because he smashes less windows when he has a warm, quiet space to stay. And sometimes, keeping that community benefit takes a long term commitment.
I want to see a superhero team turn a villain as harm prevention and then willingly bear the cost of keeping that villain from causing harm. Not because it’s rewarding (though there are rewards) but because it’s more effective than any other method. And I want the villain to go along with it because the heroes actually found a more efficient way for her to reach her goals.
And it being messy for everyone, but I want them to make it work. And it to be worth it, in the end.

the role of kindness in self-development
kindness plays a vital role in self-development for several reasons. first, it enhances mental well-being by reducing stress and anxiety, and increasing happiness and self-esteem. when you practice kindness, you foster positive relationships and build trust, which can lead to a stronger support network and a sense of belonging.
additionally, kindness encourages empathy and understanding, helping you to see things from others’ perspectives and resolve conflicts more effectively. this not only improves your social interactions but also contributes to personal growth by making you more compassionate and resilient.
building relationships
building relationships is a powerful self-development strategy because it opens doors to new experiences, perspectives, and opportunities for personal growth. interacting with different individuals challenges you to grow, learn, and expand your horizons. through new connections, you can discover hidden talents, passions, and strengths that you might not have been aware of before.
relationships also provide a support network that can offer encouragement, advice, and assistance during challenging times. having a strong network of friends, mentors, and colleagues can boost your confidence and resilience, helping you navigate life’s ups and downs more effectively.
furthermore, building relationships enhances your communication and interpersonal skills. engaging with others requires active listening, empathy, and the ability to express yourself clearly. these skills are invaluable in both personal and professional settings.

I will never, ever trust anyone who calls themselves a priest(ess) unless they have a myriad of qualifications and experience behind them. Are you aware of the kind of responsibilities you’re accepting? Are you able to comfort the downtrodden effectively and not just say “the gods love you” and leave it at that? Are you able to keep your composure and not allow the plights of others to affect you so you can better be of service? Do you have experience in counseling and leadership? Are you prepared for when someone comes to you with a pile of woe upon their shoulders? Do you have experience or knowledge about community building? Are you well studied in both the culture, history and religious traditions of your chosen religion? Are you able to guide and nurture countless individuals and modify your knowledge and beliefs to fit into their lives? Are you able to continue the work of uplifting a whole community even when you are tired, depressed, or going through hardship yourself? If you are not able to be initiated and guided under a trove of elders and the more experienced, what are you going to do to combat that problem? Who are you responsible to? What are your morals for leadership? Are you able to admit when you are mistaken? Have you been acknowledged by others to be worthy of that title? How are you enriching someone’s life and practice outside of the culture of doomscrolling on the internet? Do you know how to write sermons? Do you know how to lead prayer and ritual for a lot of people? What will you say when a congregate comes to you, devastated by death? Rape? Trauma? Mental illness? Can you recognize the signs of spiritual psychosis? Do you know how to navigate that? Can you spot cultural appropriation? Have you deconstructed from white supremacy and colonialism? Do you have connections with others that have experience in other belief systems so you can direct people to where they need to go? Have you and the gods ever discussed what you are willing to sacrifice in order to hold this position? Are you aware that you will make sacrifices at all and that this isn’t just a cozy, fun thing? Are you even old enough? Do you have enough life experience? Are you able to guide someone older than yourself effectively? How will you serve your community outside of religion?
I know everyone is different in their religious lives, but for me personally, it took me 5 years to answer the call of priesthood, and I AM STILL NOT A PRIESTESS. I am unable to be initiated, so my path involves seminary and intensive theologian study for what will likely be about the next 10 years of my life. Under no circumstances will I set up a group chat and call myself a priestess, no disrespect, but the ease of it takes away from the sacredness. In ancient times, priests were educated from CHILDHOOD and assumed their duties in ADULTHOOD.
At best it feels self-serving and at worst, cultish, to just set up a digital server, call it a temple, and give yourself a flashy title.

Positive Parenting Communication: Building Stronger Bonds with Your Child
Effective communication is the cornerstone of nurturing a healthy parent-child relationship. When you employ positive parenting communication techniques, you not only foster trust and understanding but also empower your child to develop essential social and emotional skills. Let’s explore how you can enhance your interactions with your child through positive parenting communication.
1. Active Listening
Active listening is crucial in positive parenting communication. Give your full attention when your child speaks, maintain eye contact, and show empathy. For example, when your child shares a story about their day at school, respond with genuine interest: "It sounds like you had a great time playing with your friends! Tell me more about what you did."
2. Encouragement and Validation
Encouraging and validating your child's feelings and efforts helps build their self-esteem. Acknowledge their emotions and experiences, even if they seem trivial to you. For instance, "I understand you feel disappointed that it rained and you couldn't play outside. It's okay to feel that way."
3. Using Positive Language
Positive language reinforces good behavior and promotes a supportive environment. Instead of saying, "Stop making a mess," try, "Let's keep our toys in the toy box so we can find them easily next time." This approach focuses on positive actions rather than criticisms.
4. Setting Clear Expectations
Clearly communicate your expectations and rules in a positive manner. Use simple language that your child can understand and remember. For example, "We always say please and thank you," helps them grasp polite behavior positively.
5. Problem-Solving Together
Encourage problem-solving skills by involving your child in finding solutions to conflicts or challenges. Ask open-ended questions like, "What do you think we can do to solve this problem?" This approach teaches them to think critically and boosts their confidence in decision-making.
6. Non-verbal Communication
Non-verbal cues such as smiling, nodding, and gentle touches convey warmth and support. Physical affection, like hugs and pats on the back, reinforces your love and strengthens your bond.
7. Patience and Empathy
Parenting requires patience, especially when your child is upset or defiant. Practice empathy by understanding their perspective and validating their feelings. For instance, "I know waiting is hard, but we'll be able to play soon."
8. Practicing Consistency
Consistency in your communication reinforces expectations and helps your child feel secure. Be consistent in your responses and follow through with your promises and consequences.
Why Positive Parenting Communication Matters
Positive parenting communication lays the foundation for a trusting and respectful relationship between you and your child. It encourages them to communicate openly, express their emotions effectively, and develop strong social skills. By modeling positive communication, you teach them valuable life lessons that they will carry into their relationships with peers, teachers, and future partners.
In conclusion, incorporating positive parenting communication into your daily interactions not only strengthens your bond with your child but also shapes their development in profound ways. Remember, every conversation is an opportunity to nurture their emotional well-being and empower them to thrive.
Embrace positive parenting communication today and watch your relationship with your child blossom into one built on love, trust, and mutual respect.

Leo mercury + 6H, she’s a perfectionist and has such a creative, intelligent and confident mind. she’s PRACTICAL and knows her worth -describing a friend-.
Uranus/Neptune retrograde could mean struggle to exit a toxic group, “friends”.
Mercury retrograde not necessarily represents obvious or visible problems/conditions with speaking, stutter or dyslexia, etc. I’ve noticed they could seem rude, too direct, not diplomatic, they could have difficulties explaining themselves. they could generalize often or they don’t ask about certain things bc they’re ashamed.
when your mars is in their 2H you feel so comfortable with them. in other words, the other day I hooked up with the person I share this synastry and I felt incredibly comfortable, seeing each others naked and don’t feel ashamed or judged. idk it’s funny to me, I’ve never felt that way -casual situation-, like I could even fart and he won’t even judge. too explicit I’m sorry 😭. I’m gonna stop with the mars 2H synastry
I’ve read a lot of comments about black moon in lilith 7H that says they could be part of a 3rd party or be “the other women”. I have that placement in my natal chart and already a couple of times my friends who end up a 2 year relationship propose me to be their sneaky link. also, it could mean that the girlfriends/ boyfriends/partners of your friends could be jealous of you, the Lilith 7H person.
9H stellium in solar return signifies improvement, learning, to expand your horizons, to start a new period of high/education/learning.
in this whole period of time I’ve learned about my needs and how to communicate them (Chiron 3H in solar return): for example, I’ve seen people and I wanted something casual but didn’t know how to make myself understood. I didn’t even know what I wanted, so I’ve learned it during this period. It doesn’t count only in situationship stuff, it’s an example.
Uranus 4H in Solar Return: yes, it doesn’t mean you’ll end up moving to another country. I’ve seen a CHANGE in my family dynamic. believe me, if my “me” from one year ago observes my family dynamic now, she would be SHOCKED.
Solar return mars conjunct Part of Fortune: yes, I’ve been 🤓📚🫦
Solar moon square uranus: I was a good girl all that time 🥰 I was suffering, struggling so hard so things will be in order, pretty and diplomatic… My feelings and ideas didn’t match what I usually used to do: do whatever I want (uranus ruled). I wanted but my subconscious was telling me to keep calm so all the trust or time i gave to build that environment won’t be wasted. then, unintentionally, I broke that diplomatic environment after my birthday. it felt really good, like it was me again😩
natal saturn 1H why so conservative and traditional? I’m not affirming is a bad thing but this placement often behaves exaggeratedly, too disciplined/formal. they could be too focused on what should be and how things should work instead of appreciating the whole situation. they could end up judging others too much, evidencing the amount of criticism they have on themselves.
pluto 9H not everything has to do with politics. -yes and no, it’s debatable-. my point is, relax, sometimes life it’s not how you wanted to be. let things be🧘♀️
Lilith (mean) 5H you were the experiment of your parents, don’t you?
Node trine Jupiter tells me you can overcome challenges in your life even if you have a lot of chiron aspects in your natal chart 😭 idk if it’s understandable. What I mean is that the universe has your back, this aspect goes through deep experiences that have the previous mentioned effects on them.
Ascendant - Mercury aspects: job that has to do with communication 🤪 too obvious but I’ve noticed. lawyer, publicity, etc.
sun opposition sun synastry: opposites attracts.
pluto opposition juno natal tells me you have to work first on yourself to enter a relationship, to solve those control issues. also meaning that if you didn’t work on yourself, you could have being the one directing the relationship.

personally 👀 if u would like to elaborate on the saw au 👀 i am listening 👀
hi <3 this ask is months old <3 but i am answering it now teehee
SO. TMA SAW AU (disclaimer: i have only seen the first two movies so idk if these are very like. film accurate style traps)
basically it's just. what if a saw movie happened to the archive gang. they're all in one big space that's like a big trap in the sense that they all have the same time limit but they all get their own little traps also <3 the breakdown is this:
Jon is gagged with a camera in his mouth that he cannot remove without a key, it's strapped to his face with horrible rusted metal, y'know. Once time runs out, the battery powering the camera will leak down his throat killing him so so painfully <3 He cannot speak and must find other ways to communicate with the others.
Sasha has what is essentially a VR headset strapped to her head and she can't remove that without a key either. The headset is showing her the live feed from Jon's camera, so she essentially has to see through his eyes the entire time. When time runs out, two big ol' spikes will stab her in the eyes and give her a good ol' fashioned impromptu lobotomy <3
Tim's trap is a bit different from the others'. Instead of a contraption, he was injected with a paralytic prior to the gang waking up, and is paralyzed from the waist down. He needs a key to obtain the antidote for the paralytic. Rather than having a specific time when he suddenly dies, he's essentially either relying on the others to help him move/get the key/antidote for him, or he needs to move himself despite his paralysis in order to live. So when time runs out, it's either find a way to move anyway or wait for the paralytic to travel further through his body and kill him slowly after experiencing many terribly side effects (hypotension, bronchospams, and renal failure)
Martin is even more different. His trap is less about his death and more about saving the others. He's placed in a big freezer where he basically needs to find the others' keys in blocks of ice (joshua gillespie core) and if he doesn't, they'll definitely die. He also has the option of finding the key to unlocking his own door and simply escaping without saving the others. He also also has the option of only taking some keys, but not all. He will know which will save who, and gets to choose. The trap itself isn't that difficult, but there's A Lot Of Ice, and it's Really Cold and he's Already Been There A While so there's a chance of dying of hypothermia if he can't find the keys fast enough (or if he spends the time finding the others' keys after he's found his own).
Jon, Tim, and Sasha all wake up in the same room together. Jon wakes up first and is able to watch a video tape explaining what's going on, but it can't be watched more than once, so he has to explain what's happening to the others without being able to speak. He can't speak, only play charades and listen.
Sasha isn't able to see except through Jon's eyes, so he has to rely on the two of them to make sure she's not walking into more danger. She also is unable to understand any of Jon's explanations since a lot of it is through body language and She Can't See That, so they have to work together so she can watch Tim translate. She can't see through her own eyes and is forced to watch through someone else's.
Tim either has to trust that the others will come back for him (and that they won't die somewhere in this building) or get them to carry him around, slowing them down but giving him more of a chance at survival. He either has to take action, or simply wait and trust.
Martin has to make a choice between risking what's left of his life for other people (some of which who don't care about him), or saving himself. Even if the others find the room he's in, it's locked from the inside so it is entirely on Martin to save both himself and everyone else. Not only do the others have to rely on each other, but they all have to rely on Martin. The door will lock behind him when he leaves, so if he doesn't get everyone's keys, then whoever is left without one will die.
idk if these traps are entirely fitting for all their character's and flaws and whatnot, but for the research trio i thought it'd be fun to do an audio/vigilo/opperior with them and then martin gets to play god suddenly lol.
#fg's answers#asks#the magnus archives#tma#saw#ask to tag#i was also playing around with the idea of tim's antidote being in a locked box on his leg. like an evil thigh garter#but idk. perhaps.#but ye tim's trap also fits with his past trauma of danny's death and that bit about how he thinks he was a coward because he couldn't move#except he could. well NOW HE CAN'T <3#also i had art but i'm not super happy with it. might redo it sometime if people are inchrested <3
