It must be nice to be able to be so unaffected by politics that you can afford to choose one issue to hinge your entire vote on. Meanwhile, the rest of us actually are going to have our rights stripped away by Project 2025, or care about others being able to afford housing, not be bankrupt by medical bills, and be able to afford to go to college.

The situation with Palestine sucks. But it will be even worse under Trump. Let’s get Kamala into office and then we can do something. She is more likely to listen than any republican. Republicans have built their entire platform on racism, misogyny, bigotry, classism, homophobia, and transphobia.

I keep seeing people say, "Speculating what will happen under Trump isn't going to help you," but how can I not?

As a woman, how can I not speculate when high school boys are walking through the halls of their schools chanting, "Your body, my choice"?

As a woman, how can I not speculate when men are freely posting online, "Your body my choice"?

As a wife to a mixed-race man, and as a mother to a mixed-race 1 year old son, how can I not speculate when in 11 states, black high school and college aged men and women are receiving texts saying "you have been selected to be a slave on a plantation"?

Is speculating good for me? No, it definitely is not. But, how can I not speculate and worry about what is to come when these things (and more) are happening, and Trump is not even in office yet?
