TERFs need to understand that the extent of conversation people have with strangers in public restrooms is a brief smile and, "Hi. How are you?" As they wash their hands next to each other at the sinks.

If I was in a restroom and some other person started screaming at another for being there, hell yeah am I taking the non-screaming person's side! It's not some inner sanctum. People just want to pee and get out.

Hate to break it to you but a massive amount transphobes will be willing the accept a small minority of trans people who are 100% passing and gender conforming, if it means they have more legitimacy when they dissmiss the identities of the vast majority of trans people who don't pass or conform to that degree.

It's very easy to mask your transphobia by saying "you'll never be a woman because you still dress masc and don't wear makeup, you're just a male pervert trying to imvade real trans people's spaces", instead of the classic "you'll never be a woman because you're xy, you're just a male pervert trying to invade real women's spaces" even though they mean the exact same thing. Most "allies" will treat to former like a legitimate concern even if they'd dissmiss the latter as bigotry.

Transphobes will be willing to begrudgingly accept the balire whites and buck angels of the world if it means they can be bigoted agaisnt basically every trans person they encounter. For some Transphobes they legitimately do accept a few model trans people and that's how they justify transphobia to themselves, to others its just a ploy to convince moderates to join their side. Either way people can go far with convincing liberals and moderates of transphobia by carving out a small space for a few trans people.

That's why you can't ever be dismissive of those who pass less then you. Why our community can't just focus on people who've medically transitioned or who pass to some degree. Why we can't forget less conforming people within the community for the case of simplicity when we talk about our issues. It's why when a medically transitioned trans woman says "I'm biologically female because of estrogen" she's telling transmasc and afab enbies who aren't on T "and so are you" (not to mention the intersexism of acting like biologically female is a real and important category).

The line every transphobe who uses these tactics for what's a good trans person and what's a dangerous pervert is diffrent for every person using that method. They'll convince you that every trans person less privileged then you deserves transphobia, and it's up to you to say no. They wish to destroy our acceptance from the bottom up, starting with the least passing, least privileged trans people, and ending with the few who allied with them, the only defense against this is accepting every trans person, nomatter what.

There's a butt load of medical research, literature, and history that you could read to understand the phenomena that is the existence and validity of transgender people. It would benefit you to learn it because ya clearly don't have an inkling about the subject given your piss poor analogies.

But I can't expect y'all to read it because y'all have told me ya can't even be bothered to read your own holy book. The hypocrisy at tellin' me to reread it is wild to me.

We only have one pronoun, “او,” which you can pronounce like the “oo” in “moon.” That means I use “they/them” for your transphobic ass all the time!

Additionally, we can use “این,” pronounce like the "in" In Berlin. which means “it,” if you are nearby.

We can even omit the pronoun completely. For example, we can say “رفت,” which means someone left, and as you can see, it’s just one word.

We can write poems, and no one knows the gender of our lovers. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s pretty neat.

Transphobes are freaking out over this because if trans women can give birth then their piss-poor list of what it takes to be a "real woman" gets smaller and they're freaking out over "the man who stole some poor woman's uterus!"

Except, like you can read without clicking on the article right there- this transplant is between two cisgender sisters. (Cisters, if you will.) One sister was infertile.

Now, could this mean that trans women might be able to give birth in the future with a uterus transplant? Maybe. I hope to see that day. (I'd donate mine if I could. I dunno if my organs would be any good to anybody because of my blood disorder.)

I turned in the book manuscript for INTERMEDIARIES, the forgotten history of the first transgender clinic 1918-1933.

It follows the story of Dora Richter, the first transgender woman to undergo complete MTF surgery (not Lili Elbe; she was third!) It’s taken me two years of blood, sweat, and tears. A lot of tears, actually.

The Nazis raided the Institute for Sexual Science; they burned the library. They banned the books that remained. They attacked, arrested, and ultimately killed trans and homosexual people along with disabled people, minority groups like the Roma people, political opponents, and 6 million Jews. (One commenter suggested 11 million people over all, and really, that estimate may still be conservative).

The news today, 2023, reads a lot like news in 1923 with the rise of hatred against LGBTQ, attacks on reproductive rights, and increasing racism and antisemitism. The Nazis rose throughout the 1920s, coming into power 1930-1933.

The world said never again; we must now be the ones to stop a slide into hatred and violence. Before it’s too late.

Just watched a cis woman argue for banning trans men from birthing wards because, and I quote, "some women have been SAed"

To clarify, she did not mean had been SAed by trans men. She meant by cis men. So she wanted to exclude trans men because cis women have experienced violence by cis men. She believed trans men should be punished for cis mens actions.

ANOTHER EDIT: This person was NOT talking about trans women at all. She was specifically talking about trans men/mascs and didn’t want us in the “women’s delivery ward” because we “look like men and will make women uncomfortable.” She stated she didn’t care if we were there to give birth or not, and that she didn’t care about our assigned gender at birth. We “look like men” so we must be removed & not allowed to give birth there. Specifically. Those were her statements. If this was a post about trans women I would’ve SAID trans women. I’m perfectly capable of understanding when someone says trans women but means trans men and vice versa. This just simply isn’t a post abt trans women. Period.
