Hello! I've been dead! Well actually if you follow me on Insta then you'll know my apple pencil broke and I'm in the process of getting a replacement. In the meantime I've been keeping up my art skills by doding more traditional sketches! Hollow Knight has me in a choke hold, and I made this lil guy last night. My friend @frostedgrapepepper cleaned up the sketch on my request and I redrew his nail using line and symmetry in clip. Color palette is mine too. His name is Hollow, and he is an empty shell. For what reason he was created are unknown....for now. I will be making a true Hollow Knight vessel soon though!

Bloody fucking hell. It was just his luck that he ran into a dead kid and was bestowed the misfortune to inform said dead kid that he was, in fact, dead. The universe hated him. John thought sourly as he tried to think of a way to explain to the kid he was dead.

Most people (batsy and his colony) thought he was too crass to work with kids and while it was true sometimes depending on the kid he actually liked kids, held a soft spot for them especially if they were dinguses, like the one in front of him.

“Kid,” he started before he sighed and rubbed his chin. “I’m sorry to tell you this kid but, you’re dead. You’ve died. What year do you think it is?” He asked gently watching the ghost. The white haired kid blinked before tilting his head. “It’s April 1, 2004. I’m not dumb,” he rolled his eyes body slightly following the motion. “I know it’s April fools day trench coat man you won’t fool me! And I’ve never seen you around town before! STRANGER DANGER!” The kid shouted before running off. John sighed as he grabbed his phone to let the scary bat know the case became complicated and he would need a hotel booked so he can help this kid cross over. Unbeknownst to Constantine, Danny was having a laugh with Sam and Tucker about the sad trench coat man that he just pranked. He may have said the wrong year purposefully but it still was April 1.

i have a billion other criticisms about star trek aos but the one thing i'll never forgive them for is taking away uhura's whimsy. tos uhura has such a bright & joyful presence she is kind and funny and artistic and cares about her looks WHILE ALSO being smart and badass and not afraid to speak her mind (especially in the movies. i love her). aos uhura is reduced to a one-dimensional #girlboss who takes no shit from anyone yet somehow lacks enough self-respect to stay in a boring & unsatisfying relationship with a man who is so obviously not attracted to women

Got this idea from another post that I CANNOT for the life of me find.

AU where Clark comes to Earth as an adult, and has to blend into normal human society.

He knows his name is Kal-El, but he also knows that humans don't have names like that. He sees a couple of celebrities and mashes their names together, hoping that it would make him a bit more likable in the eyes of humans.

He hides sharp-tipped ears behind black curls and ball caps, wears glasses so people won't notice his abnormally deep blue eyes, and is constantly in sweaters despite the weather to conceal muscles that shouldn't exist on a "normal human".

When he gets his job at the Daily Planet and has to interview Bruce Wayne, he's scared. This is his first time being near a real human celebrity, and he's mortified that he'll blow his cover.

He sits and stares at the billionaire for several minutes. This human is gorgeous in all the ways a being can be. His eyes are blue like Earth's oceans, his hair falls in perfect wisps against his forehead, and his outfit is perfectly crisp against his body, perfectly tailored to every small curve.

"Uhm... Mr. Kent?" Bruce bats his eyelashes at him, smiling expectantly.

Clark snaps out of it, his pupils dilating ever so slightly. "You're beautiful. Can I court you? What's your favorite planet?— I'll bring you rocks!"

The man is stunned, watching the reporter for some time before replying, "I... suppose Venus is nice."

Bruce is fully convinced that this reporter is autistic. Makes his life easier. They could connect in that way.

Clark flushes, realizing what he's done. He's very happy the interview wasn't recorded in any way.

Bruce shows up to work the next day and there is a box with his name on it in sloppy handwriting sitting on his desk.

He opens it, and to his amusement—and shock— , there is a piece of rock inside with a note that says one word: Venus.

That night, Bruce takes the rock home to the Batcave and analyzes it for its composition. When it is a match for Venus, he immediately connects the dots that Clark Kent is the new meta being that had been parading around Metropolis and surrounding cities as of late. After all, not even the greatest scientists have yet to reach Venus, so how else would this reporter get a rock from the planet unless he could survive the expanse of space and fly there?

He is dumbfounded. And maybe a little in love.

more backstory that i wrote up for patreon heh:

Simon and Tommy had a complicated relationship as brothers. 

At a young age, Simon basically wrote himself off as a lost cause, and did the best he could to make sure at least Tommy had a chance to be a functioning human being. After all, Tommy was the gentler brother, the dreamer, the one who looked like their mother (who'd walked out on them years ago to escape their father). But Tommy got bitter, got sick of the one always being protected, being babied. He lost respect for Simon, for the way he wouldn't fight back, and in a twisted way, grew closer to his father as a way to learn how to be powerful, strong. It backfired, and Tommy got wrapped up in some bad business.

Simon's kid brother died while he was deployed. He got the news in the letter, and it broke him in a big way. In the story timeline, it was years and years ago but it still hurts like hell whenever Simon thinks about him.
