Hey, Sage [he/neutral] here :)

I recently discovered a microlabel that fits me well as a transmasc individual, called boygender !! However, I feel like my gender is connected to being trans/queer, and so I decided to create a more specific term (a kind of boygender if you will)

TRANSBOYGENDER

A sub-section of "boygender", for those whose gender identity feels intrinsically connected to being trans, and who identify with the term "boy," but reject manhood and/or feel disconnect from the term "man."

Shoutout to @weaponizedalibi who did a commission of this character for me at a pride event a few days ago. Some of the things he chose to add in their version really helped me visualize the character, and added to the design in the drawing above (the heart on the chest and the placement of the flag were 100% their idea for example). His version is right below this paragraph.

has anyone done this yet? i feel like it’s definetly been done before but i just have never seen it. the original transfem/masc/neu flags are pretty but are a bit hard on my eyes, so i tried simplifying them!

Speaking of 'transphobia toward trans men isn't transphobia', there's a growing idea out there that shinigami eyes was only and ever about transmisogyny, as if transphobia and transmisogyny were interchangable terms.

Example (excerpted from a real post):

everyone should boycott shinigami eyes, the tool developed to identify TERF-like posts, for identifying TERF-like language in my posts" yes. the problem is definitely with the program and not you. toootally transphobic for this extension meant to warn people about transmisogyny to not care at all about the word "theyfab" (a term used to describe transmisogynistic enbies). it's definitely the fault of shinigami eyes and not your rotten "radically-inclusive" ideology

This is completely at odds with the original goal of the extension, which it unfortunately is moving further and further away from. The dev has recently stated that anti transmasc slurs, anti enby slurs, and intersex hatred are a-OK and not something permitted to flag over.

And yes, multiple people have started to be flagged red for calling out transmisandry, enbyphobia, and racism by the transfemme community, while plenty of trans radfems stay marked green. I implore all readers not to continue to rely on this extension to identify transphobes without heavy additional vetting.
