Master list of all the "our __ experience" lgbtq+ blogs
These are all the active and inclusive/friendly queer blogs I could find. If I listed any that are exclusionist or otherwise bad or are just inactive, please let me know so I can remove them. This list is intended to help queer people find active and inviting communities to participate in and feel safe in. If you know more feel free to add them in the reblogs and/or tell me them so I can add them. Please spread this around, I worked very hard on compiling this list, and this may help people find the community for them here on Tumblr.

hey, planning on making a masterlist of blogs for trans and queer youth, could you guys give some recommendations? I'm particularly looking for blogs aimed at queer youth specifically, like this one, but some that aren't are also fine. I already have a few in mind, but any ideas would be appreciated <3

Hey there!
I'm Sage (he/him/neutral), a transmasc guy. I decided to create an experience blog for trans youth because I saw a bunch of these around but didn't see one for young trans people.
Being trans and under 18 can come with a lot of challenges such as unsupportive parents, bullying at school and trying to navigate teenage years whilst being perceived as "different" by everyone around you.
So this is a safe space to ask questions, spread information, give and receive helpful advice, or just feel supported and included in a small community :) Our Community!!
^^pls join and talk to each other guys <3 Inspired by @our-queer-experience! @our-transgender-experiences @our-nonbinary-experience and all those other great experience blogs out there, be sure to check some of those guys out!
If you want a specific mod to answer your ask, then put the name of the mod in your ask so we can know :)
Run by: Sage [he/him, but ok with they/neos]

hi, im star/luci(i got by either!) I use she/they/any
This is a blog for queer kids(mainly teens)! Former queer teens, feel free to send in stuff about your years as a queer kid, or support/advice for us now
It’s always a tough time to be queer and a minor, but you aren’t alone, and this blog is here to remind you that. We are in it to together, mate.
this blog is inspired @our-queer-experience, @our-lesbian-experience, and all of the other lovely experience blogs out there. Also, a sibling blog of mine I recently met, @our-trans-youth-experience

Stay safe kids, and look out for one another. It's going to be tough, but we all need to make it out of this alive and together, and we will, no matter what happens. If you're struggling please reach out. I am online pretty regularly, so if you want to talk about anything at all, feel free to send me a direct message and I'll try my best to help. Also consider joining the community space linked with this blog here, so that you can talk to other kids in similar situations! <3

I think that 2023 is a good time for many of us, and allies in particular, to practice again the dying art of minding our own fucking business when it comes to the identities and lives of other people.
You see someone from one of your classes in a public place with a different gender presentation/expression than they typically have? Mind your own business.
You discover that one of your coworkers is in a same gender relationship, but they aren't out at work? Not your place to share that information in the workplace.
You notice that your neighbor in a red state takes a road trip across state lines with their transgender child every 3-6 months? No you fucking didn't.
You overhear students in your classroom using a different name and different pronouns for one student than you are used to using? If you live in a state hostile to trans rights, pretend that you don't know anything about this and report nothing.
You suspect that an acquaintance of yours might be gay, but they deny it when asked directly? Leave them the fuck alone.
One of your friends refuses to publicly label their sexuality? Good for them, you aren't entitled to that information anyway.
Your sibling comes out to you as questioning, but isn't comfortable sharing that with your parents yet? Keep your fucking mouth shut.
Don't out people; coming out is a personal choice not a moral obligation. Don't demand personal information about other people's sexuality or sex lives. You aren't entitled to information about anyone's gender identity, assigned gender at birth, or transition.
Bring back privacy, allow people to have control over the information that is shared about them publicly; it might save their job, their housing, their parental rights and their child's safety, or even save lives.

twilight-tok is high key ripping off/parroting yours and the muffin’s heretical metas it’s actually getting crazy. do you and the muffin feel weird that they don’t credit you?
We do, actually. While we're not on tiktok and it's news to us this was happening there too, we've seen a lot of it already on the platforms we do frequent and this being on tiktok as well does explain a lot.
At first noticing little and not-so-little ripoffs was funny, these days it's just very discouraging and part of the reason we post less and keep new fics unpublished.
Credit people, guys, it's not that hard.

The Cass report is something that happened in the UK recently. It is incredibly damaging to the lives of trans youth, especially those who are neurodivergent or in unsupportive households.
Government guidance also makes schools a quite dangerous place for a lot of trans kids as if a teacher becomes aware that a child is trans or questioning their gender identity they will likely out this child to their family immediately.
Advising against social transition for minors means new clothes, a new name, or a haircut. So, just because a child is trans, they would be unable to make the same decisions about expressing themselves as a cisgender child.
This is othering a group of children by stopping them from making the same decisions about their body and how they express themselves. Protect trans kids, they deserve the same rights as any other child.

#our life#gb patch#gb patch games#our life beginnings & always#i also think it should be acknowledged that the white queer 'experience' and the black queer 'experience' are totally different#bc there are multiple occasions where GBLady has recieved an ask where shes accused of Something bc of a super specific issue#this whole situation is just the biggest case of GetOverYourself ive ever seen icl#i think rose is entitled to their opinion as a black trans person + a person who previously identified as a trans man#i think its easy to attack rose as an inflammatory person who 'purposely incites discourse' bc they dont use that super-pacifying#everyone is welcome on my blog tone that if not used is immediately interpreted by white people as hostility and rudeness#i don't agree with a lot of their takes that ive seen on their blog that were allegedly posted BEFORE they became a sensitivity reader#but irdgaf#bc its their personal blog and theyre entitled to their opinion and i don't believe u get to feel insulted or slighted#or deem them as unprofessional and inflammatory just bc they didnt speak to u on their personal blog as Nicely as u wanted them to#i just think this all leads back to a growing sense of entitlement in the gb patch fan community#esp among the our life fans#just bc this is a deeply customizable game doesn't mean that the dev can customize Every Single Thing to ur liking#it also doesn't mean that ignorance on the devs part or the staffs part in most capacities is purposefully discriminatory in nature#like no offence but wdym 'ur hands are shaking and u need to get offline' bc of all of This... please grow up and go outside#also This is controversial but a lot of yall use the fact that GBLady is a white cis woman who happens to b writing stories#with a very diverse and nuanced cast to railroad ur ideals on how the characters should b written#and if they don't meet Your personal experience as a member of that marginalized community then They are automatically written incorrectly#again just a very entitled community IJBOL#idgaf if u disagree come and kill me over it 🤷🏾‍♀️#but also im very curious abt what people think !! 👁#i also dk how to phrase this but the white gb patch community also Reeks of this strange entitlement and i hate to say it but . . .#Sensitivity ??#they have this weird almost parasocial relationship with GBLady + this fantastical relationship with the characters themselves#LOL idk if anybody gets what i mean

TW - Transphobia, politics, distressing topics
This is so important. These reviews - the Cass review and the Levy review - affect all British trans people in their everyday lives. From denying life-saving health care to youth and EVEN ADULTS, to promoting transphobic views and outright supporting the transphobia that we have to face every day. And it will only get harder as people continue to be made into a "political debate".
So write to your MP, sign a petition, or post something to spread awareness about these horrible reviews and how they negatively impact ACTUAL PEOPLE. it may seem like we can't do anything and younger trans people, but even a small action can make a big difference if everyone contributes.

X
I feel sick. I'm so scared. Things are going to get so much worse for trans adults in the UK when the Levy review for adult trans care comes out in November. My GP clinic already tried to not prescribe my T when the gender clinic endocrinologist first recommended it, I had to fight them so hard on it, and I'm terrified at any point they will stop.
Please share this. It is so disheartening that when I make posts about US trans issues they have thousands of notes within a couple hours, but UK trans issues barely get 100 notes. Our struggles are linked. The letter, in fact, uses the American spelling of certain words like 'realize' - Which has made some suspicious that this is a form letter provided by the American anti trans hate groups that have been pushing for more transphobic discrimination in the UK lately.
This WILL affect trans people in the US eventually. They will use the UK as an example to follow, when they are (at least partially) the ones who created the conditions for our growing medical discrimination. Our fight is your fight. Please, please care about it. Help people be aware of this at the very least.
