Master list of all the "our __ experience" lgbtq+ blogs
These are all the active and inclusive/friendly queer blogs I could find. If I listed any that are exclusionist or otherwise bad or are just inactive, please let me know so I can remove them. This list is intended to help queer people find active and inviting communities to participate in and feel safe in. If you know more feel free to add them in the reblogs and/or tell me them so I can add them. Please spread this around, I worked very hard on compiling this list, and this may help people find the community for them here on Tumblr.

hey, planning on making a masterlist of blogs for trans and queer youth, could you guys give some recommendations? I'm particularly looking for blogs aimed at queer youth specifically, like this one, but some that aren't are also fine. I already have a few in mind, but any ideas would be appreciated <3

Hey there!
I'm Sage (he/him/neutral), a transmasc guy. I decided to create an experience blog for trans youth because I saw a bunch of these around but didn't see one for young trans people.
Being trans and under 18 can come with a lot of challenges such as unsupportive parents, bullying at school and trying to navigate teenage years whilst being perceived as "different" by everyone around you.
So this is a safe space to ask questions, spread information, give and receive helpful advice, or just feel supported and included in a small community :) Our Community!!
^^pls join and talk to each other guys <3 Inspired by @our-queer-experience! @our-transgender-experiences @our-nonbinary-experience and all those other great experience blogs out there, be sure to check some of those guys out!
If you want a specific mod to answer your ask, then put the name of the mod in your ask so we can know :)
Run by: Sage [he/him, but ok with they/neos]

To queer adults and any kids who have been able to find it
Please please please send in asks on how to find community in our current state. I know it’s so essential to making it through this, but as minors, especially to those of us who can’t drive, it’s hard to do. How do we find those spaces? If they don’t exist, is there an easy way to create them? How can we discover that community?

Stay safe kids, and look out for one another. It's going to be tough, but we all need to make it out of this alive and together, and we will, no matter what happens. If you're struggling please reach out. I am online pretty regularly, so if you want to talk about anything at all, feel free to send me a direct message and I'll try my best to help. Also consider joining the community space linked with this blog here, so that you can talk to other kids in similar situations! <3

I think that 2023 is a good time for many of us, and allies in particular, to practice again the dying art of minding our own fucking business when it comes to the identities and lives of other people.
You see someone from one of your classes in a public place with a different gender presentation/expression than they typically have? Mind your own business.
You discover that one of your coworkers is in a same gender relationship, but they aren't out at work? Not your place to share that information in the workplace.
You notice that your neighbor in a red state takes a road trip across state lines with their transgender child every 3-6 months? No you fucking didn't.
You overhear students in your classroom using a different name and different pronouns for one student than you are used to using? If you live in a state hostile to trans rights, pretend that you don't know anything about this and report nothing.
You suspect that an acquaintance of yours might be gay, but they deny it when asked directly? Leave them the fuck alone.
One of your friends refuses to publicly label their sexuality? Good for them, you aren't entitled to that information anyway.
Your sibling comes out to you as questioning, but isn't comfortable sharing that with your parents yet? Keep your fucking mouth shut.
Don't out people; coming out is a personal choice not a moral obligation. Don't demand personal information about other people's sexuality or sex lives. You aren't entitled to information about anyone's gender identity, assigned gender at birth, or transition.
Bring back privacy, allow people to have control over the information that is shared about them publicly; it might save their job, their housing, their parental rights and their child's safety, or even save lives.

twilight-tok is high key ripping off/parroting yours and the muffin’s heretical metas it’s actually getting crazy. do you and the muffin feel weird that they don’t credit you?
We do, actually. While we're not on tiktok and it's news to us this was happening there too, we've seen a lot of it already on the platforms we do frequent and this being on tiktok as well does explain a lot.
At first noticing little and not-so-little ripoffs was funny, these days it's just very discouraging and part of the reason we post less and keep new fics unpublished.
Credit people, guys, it's not that hard.

The Cass report is something that happened in the UK recently. It is incredibly damaging to the lives of trans youth, especially those who are neurodivergent or in unsupportive households.
Government guidance also makes schools a quite dangerous place for a lot of trans kids as if a teacher becomes aware that a child is trans or questioning their gender identity they will likely out this child to their family immediately.
Advising against social transition for minors means new clothes, a new name, or a haircut. So, just because a child is trans, they would be unable to make the same decisions about expressing themselves as a cisgender child.
This is othering a group of children by stopping them from making the same decisions about their body and how they express themselves. Protect trans kids, they deserve the same rights as any other child.

Tumblr Blogs To Follow For Queer Youth
If you would like to be added to or removed from this list please let me know!
I tried to sort by the blogs' main purpose so people can easily find what they're looking for, but there's obviously some overlap. If you think your blog is listed under the wrong category please tell me and I'll move it.
Community/Safe Space Blogs
@our-queer-experience and similar "our _ experience" blogs (masterpost here) and one youth centered experience blog is @our-trans-youth-experience
@yourdailyqueer
@trans-joy-is
@aroacesafeplaceforall
@transgender-vent-blog
@your-queer-dad
Advice/Resource Blogs
@queer-advice-hotline
@letters-to-lgbt-kids
@transgenderteensurvivalguide
@transmasc-advice-blog

History Blogs
@makingqueerhistory (website here)
@queer-trans-history
@alittlegayhistoria
Sex-Ed Blogs
@hellyeahscarleteen (website here)
@certifiedsexed
Political/Activist/Org Blogs
(currently mostly usa-based blogs)
@itgetsbetterproject (international) (website here)

@transformationsproject (usa) (website here)
Queer Literature Blogs
@lgbtqreads (website here)

Just finding these blogs was difficult and I'm only one person so if you run/follow any helpful queer blogs not on the list already let me know so I can add them!
Especially blogs in the sex-ed category or the political/activist/org category that aren't usa-based.
Edit: Someone in the notes tagged some queer literature blogs, so I added a category for queer lit.
