if you are made too feel too weird or "too queer" for a given queer space, i think that's a pretty big red flag that it's not a very open or safe space, and they're not as good of a queer space as they feel they are. only focusing on "mainstream" or "common" identities when it comes to building queer spaces helps no one. in my college's pride group, even when it was small, there were people there identifying as things like transfem agender people, multigender people, and genderfluid people. it's not that much of a stretch to include "less common" identities, you don't have to sacrifice anything in order to include queers with "Weird" identities. nobody should ever be considered "too queer"

its kind of sad that if I, a trans man, decide by my own free will to wear a dress, I have to specifically tell people that I'm not detransitioning. Trans men, boys, mascs, and neutrals can wear feminine shit. Just because we want to be fem doesn't make us suddenly not trans or faking it or whatever the fuck else.
we get to decide how we identify.
not the clothes we wear.
and not you.

transphobes calling trans people confused for their gender is just a cover up for the fact that the transphobe is confused. I know you cannot fathom the complexities of my gender, but that's not my issue lmfao.

I've had so many conversations with trans/nonbinary people about how hard it was for them to understand/process and accept that they were experiencing gender dysphoria.
I think that the strong desire to validate trans people that don't experience gender dysphoria is important because yes, they're very much stigmatized and struggling to feel validated, but I believe as a result of that, people will often see two scenarios that are more easily accessible
1) you don't need gender dysphoria to be trans! (True!)
2) posts about absolutely debilitating gender dysphoria. (Unable to shower with the lights on as an example), and worst case scenarios seeing toxic people claim that you have to be miserable in order to "really" be trans
Posting about not having dysphoria and having severe dysphoria is not bad at all, especially when speaking about your own experiences! But I guess the point I'm trying to come to is that accessing content discussing different "levels" and less "obvious" presentations of genders dysphoria can be difficult.
A lot of the people in question that I've spoken to are nonbinary, experience "atypical" gender dysphoria (wanting mixed characteristics for example!), or already struggle with symptoms regarding mental health and/or neurodiversity that can seriously complicate things.
So yeah, I guess this is just something that I thought about in hopes it kind of gives people ideas/inspiration to talk about this now more? I know I'm going to try and queue up a few posts about this topic.
Remember pals, while you may not need gender dysphoria to be trans, you also don't need some of the most severe gender dysphoria imaginable in order for it to BE gender dysphoria. You're valid.

Transmasc butch culture is having to block another trans poc bc they think believing in transandrophobia is lesbophobic and racist somehow and that trans men have male privilege.

feminine afab non binary people and masculine amab non binary people are still non binary, and thus, trans. it's not okay to excuse slipping up using an afab non binary person's pronouns just because they "look cis" to you. they are not cis. they are desperately trying to get you to understand that gender is not as black and white as it seems. they are existing in a real niche of real people that struggle to be seen as who they are and contributing to that helps no one.
i see you, fem afab enbies and masc amab enbies. you are still non binary. you are still trans. you still have a right to what pronouns and identity you use. you have a right to get upset when they call you a girl or a boy when you're not. people do not have the right to misgender you just because they don't understand the niche you fall into in life. you are justified in being upset when someone misgenders you because they refuse to see that gender is a broader spectrum than we give it credit for.
you are trans. you are non binary. the right people will see you for who you really are. don't give up telling people who you really are. stand your ground if you must. you are loved and seen for who you are even if it doesn't seem like it right now. don't give up.

*Crossgender dysphoria is where you feel dysphoria for both masculine and feminine physical or social traits at the same time. For example, OP (🪴anon) feels s/he should have larger boobs and at the same time feels that s/he needs to have a flat chest, or that his/her clothing style feels not masculine enough or feminine enough and both make him/her dysphoric in both ways. This appears to be most common in other androgynes and bigenders s/he has met as they tend to strive for androgyny.
