Humans are scary to Cybertronians but in the way spiders are scary to people. They're small mostly harmless creatures and usually more scared of you but 1% of them can infact kill you will also be incredibly horrifying to look at.

We don't have enough fur to cover our skin, our mouth protrusions are so weird, have acid inside of us, and the fact we eat other organics is just so messed up.

Creation is a little strange, it is beautiful and it can be dangerous. Everything that I learned, everything that I have seen, touched, and smelled… It was all created for a purpose. Even me. There’s also balance. Good and evil. It all can change your course of life. Either putting you on a path that can be life changing or sending you to your death bed. In a blink of an eye, everything goes up into flames and so many questions but with no answers to follow. My world was thrown into chaos. I don’t know how or who did it but it happened. I don’t know where I was going or where my parents sent me. Time was slow and it was lost like me. Nothing but tears and screams fill up the space. At that moment, I felt like I was empty like the galaxy before me. Yet the stars still shine through the darkness.

I found some answers in a book that my parents often read to me. I read bits and pieces. The only memories that were saved. God can give and he can also take away. It also says we live in an unfair world, but he is fair. We all go through storms of our own. I guess this was just my storm that I was going through. Not knowing if it ended or it’s just getting started. I finally reached an unfamiliar destination. It looks similar to my home. It was metal and nature intertwine with each other. Blue and yellow lights shine through. It was so beautiful and full of colors. Granted, I was scared of what would come next, but I also felt at ease. I know that my parents are watching me. I also know that he is watching over me too. I wasn’t truly alone. Everything is different now.

There would be once-a-century check-ins that's part serious and part show as both sides are trying to make the newfound post-war work as everyone is scrambling since they're exhausted and attempting to rebuild and other space-faring civilizations are turning greedy eyes to them.

Plus, it keeps the kids' other half of their Earth heritage in hopping distance.

The kids want a menagerie? Soundwave's cassettes are fetching elephants, and someone is hunting down a whale pod to track and place drones to follow them 24/7. The Constructions are figuring out to support Earth creatures on Cybertron or perhaps rope off a private sanctuary on Earth.

i wrote chapter 2 to this scifi furry empty spaces story. its on deviantart here & furaffinity here. its inspired by living in psych wards and group homes as a person who has violent meltdowns.

i remember the stomping of boots. sounds of harsh movement; thick clothing thrashing thru my bedroom door. sleep paralysis giving way to waking up giving way to fear. then a loud blinking noise as a sharp pain in my neck put me back to sleep.

ohhh…. that nightmare again. i turned over in my giant doggy nest and licked my muzzle. that was the night the canadian government kidnapped me and took me here. my last memory of my normal human life.

the government had predicted using their internet algorithms that i was just about to turn anomalous. so they faked my death with a 3d printed corpse. i still wonder what my parents thought of me “dying”. they were probly very sad.

no time for me to be sad today though. today was the day i was going to eat in the communal cafeteria!!!!! with the other anomalies!!!! as i climbed out of my nest my tail wagged. i was so excited. i had to prove i was safe to be around for what felt like MONTHS to get this privilege. my….. meltdowns…… had slowed the approval process, but i made up for it by bein cheerful & cooperative most of the time!!!!

3 hours later, long after the tertiary guards had brought my breakfast to my living quarters and i had eaten it, vibrating in anticipation like a chihuahua, the alarm finally rang again.

*EEEENNNNGHHH!!!*

*click* *wheeeeze*

my primary security guard walked in, wearing full-body armor and holding a tranquilizer gun as usual.

“hey tina!! hows ur morning going?”

he was followed by 3 secondary guards.

“hi zayn!!” i yowled. “im exci….. ive had a decent mornin. im excited for lunch!!!!!!!!”

the primary guard armed his tranq gun with a *click*. “well, im glad ur excited!!!! we cant go yet though, tina, we gotta wait fiiiiiive minutes okay??”

i turned my head sideways and involuntarily made a slow rising grunt. “we……. umm…… ya?”

i could smell the guards sweating. “yeah just five minutes tina!” zayn was coincidentally inbetween me & the door.

i went and sat down as a show of peace. “ok bub. but dont stretch it out past five minutes please if u can please.” i whined.

the guards all relaxed their stances a little.

7 minutes later, the primary guard turned his head and put his hand to his ear. “affirmative. affirmative. negative. ok moving to checkpoint.” he turned back to me. “hey tina we can go now ok??”

i stood up and tippytoed from one hindfoot to the other a few times, nodding my head excitedly and panting. “ok good ya!!!! lets go!!!!! ill stay close!!!!!”

we walked with two security guards in front of me & two behind me. the hallways were long and confusing. i smelled what smelled like a swamp behind one door we passed, and i heard loud dialup computer modem noises behind another. finally we reached a very large double door that had many smells coming from it.

“affirmative. checkpoint reached.” said zayn.

*EEEENNNGGHHHH* rang the alarm

*click* *wheeeeezze* the doubledoors opened on their own.

inside was a vast sterile grid of benches & tables. over on the side one bench was bent in half vertically upwards, and a big roomba-like robot was cleaning up murky liquid off of it and the floor beneath.

in seemingly random spots among the grid of benches & tables there were anomalous folks eating lunch. some were big like me, some were human sized, one of them i couldnt look directly at for some reason (they smelled like rotten eggs).

my primary guard zayn motioned toward a table which had a big bowl on it. “hey tina your lunch is over here dear!!” i started walking toward it but stopped to look out at the other anomalies. i waved at one that looked like a cross between a giant bug and a sexy lady. she smelled like ladybugs. after a moment she waved back!!!!!!! i was so happy; my tail wagged rapidly. my social urge fulfilled, i went & sat down with my bowl & started eating.

my guards had gone to stand at the wall after a while. after i finished licking my bowl clean, i looked back at them nervously, and turned & slowly began to walk toward the bug lady.

my guards immediatelly started running to stop me. “tina lets go back to your living quarters okay? we’re all done our food huh?? tina??” zayn was pulling at me. all four guards had their tranq guns armed.

“i want to talk to the nice person!!!!” i yowled. “she….they seem nice!!!!!” i turned around to Zayn. “pleease????”

zayn shook his helmeted head. “im sorry but youre not approved for interpersonal anomaly-to-anomaly contact tina…. srry.”

i howled quietly. i turned my head to look back at the bug lady.

she was waving!!!!!!!!

i waved back enthusiastically, then turned and walked away with my guards over and out the double-doors.

that night, when the tertiary guards brought my supper to my living quarters, zayn turned to me.

“im sorry u didnt get to talk to Blum- uh… i mean The Nice Person”

i looked away to hide my smile. “thats ok zayn. im sorry if i broke the rules again.”

“no” zayn turned back toward the door of my living quarters to leave. “ur impatience is understandable. i hope u enjoy your supper tina.” all the guards walked out of my room to let me eat in peace.

Blumo…… i thought to myself.

I think the main reason the way the dravanians are handled (other than the kinda shitty implications of this game wanting to have its cake and eat it too re: the dragons, so that it doesn't have to engage with the honestly terrifying and extremely sad plight of the dravanian horde so that the player can still have mindless dragons to fight that you don't have to feel bad abt killing) annoys me so much is that heavensward had an honestly good curated experience of you learning gradually and then all at once just like an ishgardian would that the dravanians are real people with lives, families, customs, and dreams and not the mindlessly hyper-violent animals you've up until anyx trine you've been made to believe they are, something that is started in ARR with midgardsormr but really hammered home that all the dragons, even the ones you've killed, are sentient, intelligent beings with lives and many simply want quiet lives away from the war and don't want to lose their children to it. up until then you've been made to fear dragons and think of them as deserving of violence in turn simply for being what they are under the assumption they're mindless swarming beasts...just as the ishgardians do. heavensward does an honestly very good job of mirroring the ishgardian mindset and viewpoint of the war to you so that you can experience what ishgard feels when the truth is finally laid out for you.

but then as soon as we get anywhere close to actually engaging with that nuance, with what that says about the situation of the dravanian horde and ourselves, combined with the previous, initially offhand lore that the dragons literally cannot ignore the calls of their sires (which is the entire potential crisis that drags aymeric in for his first on-screen appearance, because midgardsormr can drag every dravanian currently alive into the war if he wants) and that maybe this is a far more complicated and tragic situation for all sides than we initially expected, and that maybe nidhogg's brood suffers in a way that's actually very similar to the ishgardians - we drop all of that. we drop it so that we can have an enemy in dungeons we don't have to feel bad about killing, so that we don't have to feel too uncomfortable with our actions or with running these two dungeons.
