I just rewatched the season one finale of Soy Luna and it pretty much summed up why I love this show so much. The last 20 minutes are a roller coaster where you can see the Roller kids come together more than they have ever done. Everyone seems to have learned a lesson and good beginnings look promising.

Watching the roller team compete an amazing dance number and rutine, I can’t help but smile at who good the show is. It has 80 episodes in season one and each episode leads up to a complicated but amazing growth from all the characters. Not only do they grow personally but they grow as a team and as friends. And that is what made me so happy rewatching this 80th episode.

Yes they still have a lot to learn. Who doesn’t? But look at what they have achieved!

Ámbar is finally showing some responsibility for her actions and she is fixing previous friendships. Simon is and always has been amazing, but we are reminded how much when he gives up Luna for her to be happy. Mateo is the most humble in the whole season and wants to learn to be himself. Luna has been a roller coaster all season but at this point she is finally happy with herself and connected with her real feelings. And there are so many Riller kids, I will have to come back to this post and add. I’m calling out Delfi for the end season one and especially this episode. She has so much potencial moving forward from here.

And then the last episode is just good. Very good. The performance, the music concert, the character interaction and friendship is on point.

Watch the last episode of season one and look back to episode one. In 80 episodes the characters have brought us through an amazing roller coaster in which each and everyone one of them has in one way or another and important role and story. You follow each and everyone one of their stories and they grow together. They grow together and you grow to fall in love with them.

This is my favorite show. No matter what happens in the end. I enjoy the ride.
