It's wild how narrow the spectrum of not strictly necessary things I will allow myself to spend money on is. Like the idea of having disposable income is fairly foreign to me. When I was in hs and my birthday money n stuff had no place it needed to go, I was always buying albums and stuff I knew I could keep and would last. When I had a little spending money when I worked at that restaurant, I bought clothes, or furniture (and not fancy, just tasteful and functional Ikea stuff).
