you go into the notes of posts like this and it very quickly turns into a bunch of people denying transmisogyny exists like try not to be annoying for like five fucking seconds
#dichromaticdyke.exe#‘they hate us all equally’ they fucking don’t actually lmao#yes obviously all queer people are targets but look at the fucking motions being put forward#look at how many of them overwhelmingly target trans women#and maybe that’s not what OP meant or was even thinking about when they made this post but like god damn#the number of times ‘queer infighting’ actually refers to shit like#tma ppl calling out transmisogyny#lesbians calling out lesbophobia#queer poc calling out racism#yes they hate us all. yes they wanna eradicate us all.#but to imply the hatred is equal or being enacted in equivalent ways for all demographics is just false#500#1k#2k

I’m begging people at this point to realize that hate towards intersex people isn’t just. Fucking misdirected transphobia. Please for fucks sake learn that intersexism is a thing and that while transphobia and intersexism often go hand in hand and are used to reenforce the other, intersexism is not collateral damage from transphobia. They don’t just hate us because of a perceived proximity to transness, they hate us because we’re intersex. And will go about acting on this hate as such
#my post about Kansas’s anti trans and intersex bill is getting more notes again#and so many people just seem like this is just a byproduct of transphobia#so many people just. Dont seem to understand that we’re explicitly being targeted too#I shouldn’t have to spell out to people#That actually they want us to not exist too#intersex#intersexism

Ngl the fact that the guidelines for shinigami eyes say that theyfab is not an anti-trans slur and thus not enough to mark someone as anti-trans and equates transmedicalist as being just as harmful as "tenderqueer" despite it claiming to support nonbinary people is uh. Yeah starting to kinda think this extension has overall been a net negative for the trans and queer communities and was always going to end up like this.
#the current mod is in the replies saying the (primarily) intersex identity afab trans woman is inherently transmisognyistic#and absolutely 100% ignoring anyone who tries to educate them even the ones being nice about it#imo you should be able to vet transphobes yourself and this discourages that which is dangerous#and the fact that you can get falsely marked and your ONLY option is to just hope you eventually get marked green#enough times that it flips is just. bro that's awful actually??#especially with how fast a red mark isolates you and makes you a target of harassment#I just think we should maybe move past this we dont need this extension#and I say that as someone who was once marked green and got unmarked around when I started#including intersex people in my trans activism and defended trans men and pointed out how#radfeminism is spreading in trans spaces at a horrifying rate#so yeah uninstall it at this point it's doing far more harm than good

i think trans-affirming cisfeminism's problem is that it views trans people as a way of analyzing cis gender relations, so trans women are going from the status of cis men to cis women, & trans men vice-versa. there is no appreciation for "trans" as its own status, because that would require viewing transphobia as something the patriarchy does on purpose instead of like. something it trips into on its quest to oppress cis women exclusively. and this is also why by and large feminism (including trans feminists) has fucked sucked at talking about NB/GQ people's experiences without binarizing them
#m.#honestly i think understanding all of the different versions of transphobia#are vital to understanding transphobia holistically#like the idea that that trans people are patriarchal bycatch is very similar#to the idea that trans men are never targeted on purpose & only experience ''misdirected'' oppression#the need to force trans experiences into the cis man/cis woman binary is a form of exorsexism#i think a lot more has been said abt transmisogyny but the idea of trans people as being acceptable victims of#violence bc we arent ''real women'' or ''real men''#something something this is why:#transunity

I’m actually scared of alienating some of my followers and moots with all the trans discourse I’ve been steeping quietly in and contemplating, but… I’m trying to not let being scared shut me up about this. That, in and of itself, is erasure and silencing.
Fuck staying quiet. Trans men and mascs deserve a voice, and we, as a group, are not oppressing or invalidating anyone else by using that voice. (Obviously there are shithead exceptions!! Anyone can be an asshole.)
I really hope that if I ever speak about any of this in the future, that people recognize that it’s not ever, ever trans femininity as a concept I have an issue with. It’s people who
- try to divide the community
- are reinventing gender essentialism from the ground up but make it trans
-police other people’s identities and decide for them what oppression they must face because of a tiny set of superficial traits
- simply. Don’t understand what intersectionality means.
- disregard and invalidate anyone who doesn’t fit a very specific (binary, rich, white, abled, flawlessly passing) idea of what it means to be trans.
None of those things are specific or exclusive to one identity. There just happens to be a community of transfems who are currently espousing many of these ideas as gospel. They are understandably defensive because of real actual transmisogyny they face. But other trans people are not your enemy. Accusing anyone and everyone who tries to point these flaws out as radical transmisogynists is simply not true. Pointing out bigotry is not bigotry in itself.
I don’t want the trans community to constantly be at each other’s throats. We each have to sit down and think if we ever catch ourselves blaming an entire other marginalized group for our issues. That’s just fascism babes.
#I don’t remember who and I’m sorry if this was you#but I saw a LOOOOOONG time mutual put a post sewing transfem v masc discourse and I just#can we not. we all have issues. why don’t we like… help each other with them instead of proving x or y have it ~worse~#but also for real the threats of violence and anti masculinity ‘jokes’ going around have really been getting to me#fucking. stop it. *bap bap bap bap bap bap* it’s not feminism to ascribe negative traits to an entire group of people#it’s not woke to put down an entire identity.#transandrophobia#transmisogyny#trans discourse#trans#trans unity#transfeminism#if anyone calls a tme theyfab over this post I’m launching into the sun#good bye guys. going to step into traffic and get isekaid to eorzea where I can live with my beautiful transgender catgirlboy husbandwife#my post#hopefully this doesn’t start *too* much shit because I’ll be for real I’ve blocked half the people on these tags#this started as a thing addressing those moots though so. my target audience is not blocked lmao#me: has political opinions also me: DONT HATE ME IM NORMAL I SWEAR#I mean. fuck being normal. just not bigoted. I’m just tired of being the butt of every joke#and being blamed for something I had less than nothing to do with

don't wanna derail the post I saw this discussion on- it was all in the notes anyway, so it certainly isn't op's problem. I'm gonna say this with so much love:
Calling somebody a 'theyfab' is not punching up. If someone's being transmisogynistic, say that, or call them a bigot. Naming the tangible harm done to you will always be the most effective thing to do.
The cis people who created that term made it with the explicit intent to mock and insult people's identities. No matter what you mean when you say it, this is its origin and to most people, its only meaning. It describes nothing about the discrimination you face.
People afab are marginalized, especially if they're queer. You cannot "punch up" on a fellow oppressed group. I understand the specific vitriol that they inflict on you hurts.
You don't need a word to call somebody, you need and deserve adequate justice for the tangible harm done to you; and my heart aches that nobody queer- especially trans women- ever seems to receive that.
I'm aware I can't make anybody do anything, so I'm not gonna try to tell you not to use that word. I just want to say it can't ever address, undo, or heal any harm done to you. It can only redirect it.
#da#the og post was about transmisogyny and transfeminism and that was an important discussion I did not wanna elbow into#I'm addressing the people in the notes who were saying they 'NEED' this word in order to 'punch up' to their oppressors#I do feel for every trans woman and transfem having to exist on the internet rn. everyone's being awful to you all from every side#Dearly sorry that fellow afab people are making all your lives such hell#just also know that nothing about the word theyfab describes a bigot. nothing about it explains what harm was done to you.#it serves solely to mock an aspect of someone's identity. because hateful cis people created it to do that#you don't 'need' a targeted insult to use against someone directing hatred towards you.#cannot stress enough that the only group who can reclaim a harmful term is the one it's used against#i completely understand afab people can be particularly awful with their transmisogyny#calling them a theyfab will not help anything. I know. I'm sorry. you're hurt and it sucks. name calling cannot change that

You know people assume (and like it's their right to do so, its headcanons, etc etc don't come with pitchforks at me) that Bradley's youth queer experience would be very positive given Mav and the implied icemav of it all
But I think instead of making him more open about his sexuality in adulthood (or just unapologetic), it'd give the opposite result
This is to do with that, although he'd see happy queer people (Mav and Ice) behind closed doors, his childhood, mainly in the 80s and 90s, as well as Mav's and Ice's attitudes toward being open about their relationship, would teach him how cruel the world can be and the typical 'better safe than sorry' attitude being queer outside of typical queer spaces brings to many
He could see Mav and Ice love each other very very much, maybe to the point he'd even base his idea of love on them, but he'd also see how much maneuvering would keeping their relationship from the public cost. Sure, there are friends who supported them (flyboys, Carole, etc), but there were also countless people who would destroy their careers and lives if they ever found out (also if Mav ever adopted/fostered him, just suspicions of him being queer could put Bradley back in the system, the way things worked back in the 90s and also given how many fostering agency, even government employed, are christian-lead...)
In the instances someone would come close to discovering it, not only he'd see how distressing it can be but also how much being discovered would cost - whether this is personal safety, job security, respect, etc. And even if the worst didn't come to it, he'd still be left with the foil remarks and hate 'bullying'
As long as DADT was in place, I think he'd be equally if not more careful in comparison to what he had seen while with Mav and/or Ice
If anything I think Jake would have more of the naivety being openly and unashamedly queer takes (whether this is because he grew up in an environment with no visible queer people ergo never saw actual acts of hate toward them, or because he thinks he left the most hateful environment and nothing can be worse than it OR maybe because he is 100% or nothing kind of guy, no matter to what he commits)
#also yes this is specifically in regards to the slow down fic#i think a lot of people under 30 forget how traumatic it is to live with explicitly hateful general population#and maybe im projecting bc coming out as trans for me was hard mainly because it puts a visible target on you while you transition#and i couldn't not mention it like being pan or ace etc#and where i come from homophobia/queerphobia was rampant and present in my daily life to the point of feeling unsafe#completely different to even the smallest of small backwater towns in the uk#bradley rooster bradshaw#hangster#tgm

did you know? it's so so easy to highlight the suffering of one group without minimizing or putting down the suffering of another. you can talk about transphobia without being racist. you can talk about racism without being ableist. etc etc
trans men don't have to put down trans women to talk about the very real discrimination they face. and vice versa. we need to stop infighting. the real enemy is not your peers. we only get through this together.
#i am trans black and disabled and im so tired of seeing people only advocate for one part of me while putting down the others#also like im nonbinary. i will never 'pass'.#but i dont have to put down binary trans folks who CAN pass to talk about how isolating that is#they are my beloved siblings and i am happy for them#you can address how trans mascs are victims of misogyny without implying that trans fems are overreacting to transmisogyny#idk man it's all so pointless when we're all dirty fags to them regardless#newsflash smartass#all queer people are affected by misogyny#all queer people are being targeted by fascists#tldr STOP FIGHTINGGGGGGGG#meowing

Just a heads up, JK Rowling and other TERFS absolutely target and spread violent rhetoric about trans men/transmascs. TERF transphobia is specifically targeting every trans person, but they use different tactics and rhetoric about different groups.
#just saw a post that said JK Rowling exclusively targets trans women#I'm sorry but that is not the case#her transphobia does extend to trans men and nonbinary people#her words have perpetuated our infantilization and the idea that T is a dangerous substance and that our bodies are being mutilated#by transitioning#please do not speak on how other people have been impacted by her if you do not know#transandrophobia#transphobia

"no guys i swear the cishet intruders are real this time, they're really invading our community, theyre taking our resources for real this time, trust me, they love getting called slurs and being discriminated against, this is a real thing thats really happening and affects me in real life, my exclusionism is good this time i SWEAR"
#text#discourse#like what fucking world r u living in 😭 'i dont mean trans people' what Do you mean then.#like give me 5 examples of this happening in real life and causing harm to literally anyone#i prommy cishet invaders arent identifying with slurs and intentionally putting a target on their backs like that#especially in this political climate#you are just being.. either biphobic or nbphobic or both most likely. probably some secret 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th etc things too

I want to make a post about transphobia, Veilguard, the way bigots are getting people to do their work for them, and why Veilguard had to do some of the things people complain about*, BUT I’d like to not be hunted for sport.
*and how many of the common complaints are recycled bigot talking points
Just know that the way you talk about this game can hurt representation for trans people for years to come, and any complaint that even has a whiff of anti-wokeness or could be even tangentially related (including ‘therapy speak’) probably originated from an inflammatory anti-trans bigot that a smarter anti-trans bigot laundered enough** to get into common parlance.
**and appealed to people’s desire to be smarter than others
#all my transphobia tolerance was used up by visiting my family and being hunted for sport between VG’s announcement and release.#any I get in the future will need to be used to deal with the incredible about of danger my community is going to be in in a couple weeks#and trying to get my city to be an lgbt+ sanctuary city#I literally do not have the fucking energy but I have to say SOMETHING#99% of the complaints I see were constructed by anti-trans/‘anti-woke’ advocates#a lot of people have missed it became they aren’t as a community keeping an eye on it being targeted by those folks#transphobia cw ///#datv transphobia

can ppl in this fandom like... stop... implying that transmasculinity in hcs or (especially) canon is shallow or misogynistic or even transmisogynistic on princible, like literally just by being prescent in someones mind or in the text. like that doesnt fuckin feel good. thats kind of really nasty to imply. if its not okay to say about other trans experiences, maybe dont say it about this one either. why is there a weird little exception here. yall KNOW how much that sucks to hear all day every day. what the fuck
#my t#idk how to tell the hs fandom that every piece of trans coding in roxy in hs1 can be read as transmasc too. like transfem and transmasc#at the same time from the EXACT same reasons. its almost like we all share experiences just by way of being trans. weird i know#its almost like being trans rlly truly highlights what it is to be human and how we are all in fact at the end of the day human together#i just want everyone to stop trying to 'poke holes' in other fans trans hcs FULL STOP across the board no matter who they are#or what the hc is. its needlessly hurtful and more often than not trips into real peoples dysphoria which then#makes the target more likely to lash out. so the person poking them abt it can do a ''SEE? THEYRE ALL MEAN ONE OF THEM#WAS MEAN TO ME JUST NOW'' routine. its so obviously a 'im not touching u!!!' playground maneuver like holy fuck grow up#if you wanna fight for transfem/me folks right to just exist random fans personal headcanons is not the fuckin time or place#the XY in roxys name could be read as her having been DMAB or it could be hussie having a long running giggle about him preordering#his own transmasculinity. roxys colour being pink could be bc shes a girl or it could be compcis!!!#roxys desperation for a bf is from loneliness in canon but its often read as her feeling like she needs one to be a real girl#it can ALSO be read as another aspect of him struggling with compcis and comphet esp w/ his fantasies abt being 'a mother'#yknow what i never fuckin see that rlly highlights the fact that this is just a shitty 'girls rule boys drool' thing? theres like. no#discussions on the potential of roxy being any kinda intersex. absolutely none. he could be mtftm for all you fuckin know#but oh yknow being mtftm is A Shallow Read so we cant have that. hs is only for girls didnt you know we need to terf- i mean turf#out every single instance of queer mascness bc its Evil in the text didnt you know#god help the fandoms word of god token trans boy dirk strider for 'choosing' his eternal misery while everyone else is enlightened#by way of transforming into a girl. bc we must place girlhood on an inhuman pedistal of perfection and niceness and joy and rainbows#like what IS this mahou shojo brand gender essentialism???? im fuckin sick of it#can we remember that girlhood isnt & wasnt safe or joyful for everyone & that that can translate into how we curate our fandom experiences

I've been thinking about why in so deeply bothered by people saying that afab enbies who don't look trans are less oppressed than other trans people. Part of it is just that it is either based in enbyphobia/misogyny (seeing afab enbies as women and seeing women as attention seekers with a victim complex) or it's erasing amab enbies (because if 'looking trans' is such an important part of the trans experience then why wouldn't the same apply to amab enbies who aren't visibility trans)
But I've realized that it's also because it reminds me of one of the most common acephobic arguments I saw back when asexuals were the targets of the "discourse" (aka the main target for bullies in online queer spaces) The argument was that no one can tell you're asexual unless you tell them. That mlm and wlw can be clocked in public by homophobes and thus are the targets of violence but asexuals aren't going to be holding hands with the wrong person so clearly we don't experience any type of oppression. At it's heart it's the same argument I see against afab enbies. It's this idea that going through life hiding your actual identity is a privilege, that somehow staying in the closet all the time is fun and easy, it's the idea that the only meaningful form of oppression is random violence from complete strangers, that non-violent bigotry doesn't really matter, and that violence from people you know is somehow less common or less important. It's people acting as though the only reason that someone might seek out queer spaces is to avoid that violence from strangers, and that seeking out queer spaces for emotional support or to form connections is somehow "taking up resources" or an "invasion" of a space where they don't belong. It's the same oppression olympics that I hate with every fiber of my being, that does nothing but turn us against each other and distract from our actual oppressors.
Afab enbies wanting to exist and be acknowledged no matter their gender presentation is not an act of violence against other trans people.
It took me years to come to terms with my asexuality because of the way asexuals were targeted when I was a teenager, and I hate to think that there are going to be people growing up now that struggle to come to terms with their gender identity because of the way enbies are being talked about.
#aromantics were also targeted along with asexuals but the arguments I'm thinking of i remember being directed towards asexuals specifically#aromantics faced lot more erasure if i remember correctly#i am also aro but i mostly see hatred specifically towards alloaros which im not#tqlk#I've just really been thinking about why these things bother me#I'm nb and not visibly trans but thats because I'm still mostly closeted except in certain situations#it bothers me how much people define enbies based off our agab#and that no one ever seems to acknowledge that sometimes people aren't visibly trans bc we're closeted#but i know that when people complain about enbies who 'look cis' they are usually thinking of people who want to present that way#since otherwise those things would apply to all closeted trans people not just nbs

I’m so serious you can say as many fuck jkrs as you want but you’re still supporting a woman who is steadily endangering the lives of so many queer and trans people everywhere. You can’t death of the author someone who is gaining influence and impacting lives more every day. Even understanding the prejudices baked into her work and navigating them in a conscientious way won’t stop her from funding political parties. She’s been extremely open about how she perceives ANYONE who still engages with the HP franchise as a supporter of her views. How can you actively choose a media that you enjoy over a trans woman’s right to exist within society??
#the truest repairman posts#This counts for marauders” too btw.#Your fandom was built on racist caricatures and slavery endorsement. If in this day and age you still defend it#Or even participate in it#Don’t follow me#or interact with me or whatever#anti harry potter#fuck jkr#Listen I grew up with HP. Target audience#Honestly it makes me sick now. I can’t IMAGINE being able to just ignore the fact that my rights are being taken away#Because people care more about an imaginary world.#Trans#btw I am aware that her views are negative towards ALL trans people#But I believe she thinks she’s “helping” “lost women” and so focuses on specific targeting of trans women differently than she does#Her perceived misled women.#God she’s disgusting#Vent

It's cause I was meant to have a deep voice and a dick, Karen. I'm not fighting the patriarchy everytime I throw a binder on.
(And personally I'm exceptionally proud of my femininity and the way I was born and raised. Its just not fitting of ME. So God forbid I aim to be comfortable in my life)
#TERFS dont seem to get that dysphoria isnt just discomfort with my place in society#or that cis women are probably less targetted and oppresed than trans people.#like yeah being a woman in society can fucking suck and i agree we should make a change#but im happy to help that change from over the other side actually#where btw it also sucks! cause society is gonna look down on me regardless of the pronouns i use#cw transphobes#transphobia#transgender#nonbinary#lgbtq
