Submitted propaganda: Its genuinely good. Its a genuinely interesting story with excellent character designs and entertaining characters and the horniness is not just a coating of titties for fanservice, but fundamental to the plot. It is about self discovery and learning to accept yourself but not letting your desires consume you. The action is tense. The relationships between characters are interesting. Each character is charming in their own way, from the flop loser MC who is playing villain because she's hard up for magical girls to the magical girl who joined the good team bc the others watched her beat a demon in the head with a brick to the supervillain college dropout who wants to rule the world. There is an overarching mystery concerning why and how these girls gained power to begin with (i do NOT trust that little shit of a mascot). The mood and tone of the story is so masterful-- you can TELL when somethings wrong. There is also some very good comedy all throughout-- it's just a super fun read! They also got their first season of an anime recently (which is somehow hornier than the manga) so.

Seriously, people! Can we STOP using The Owl House to tear down She-Ra and Steven Universe!!? Hearing others refer to The Owl House as "the anti-She-Ra", "the anti-Steven Universe" or "what She-Ra/Steven Universe should've been" makes my blood boil to no end! Do you realize that Dana Terrace, Rebecca Sugar and ND Stevenson are mutual friends who respect each other and their work? Not to mention how they helped paved the way for one another: For instance, without Rebecca Sugar fighting Cartoon Network for Steven Universe to be openly queer, there would be no She-Ra and without She-Ra, there would be no Owl House.

We need to stop tearing queer creators down just to put others on a pedestal. It no longer becomes about "wanting diversity and representation" but about turning "diversity and representation" into some elitist, gatekeeping competition. And that....that is just wrong.

For the record: I love all three series.

As for helys the best way I can describe him is Howl's crow version from Howl's moving castle but with hare ears and hare hind legs. But his hair is a mix of black and brown. His skin color is pale and not covered in full feathers, only his arms and legs along with patches of hare fur

satou matsuzaka is, to put it plainly, my favorite protagonist of all time — very easily top 3 favorite characters for me period. satou is a girl who grew up never knowing was love was, no matter how many attempted lovers she burned through from a young age. this only changed when she met shio kobe, a child who was the first person who ever made satou Feel Anything. and now that she is, satou will go to any means necessary to protect and preserve that feeling — her love

there's a ton of layers to satou and shio's dynamic and i love them both very much but i want to be clear: this is pedophilia. this is not the palatable or "fun" kind of toxic yuri we necessarily have in mind when we talk about wanting more of it. but it's important to recognize this as it's integral to the story happy sugar life is trying to tell, which is all about pedophilia, the scars of sexual trauma and the way it poisons and contorts the mental states of young victims who can end up perpetuating this cycle of abuse if left unchecked, all under the pretense of "love"

happy sugar life is a psychological horror (and contrary to what a lot of stupid idiots like to say, it is NOT some type of "faux wholesome" media that's trying to hide this at any point) and is very short (48 chapters) with a small and contained cast. the manga has some absolutely beautiful pacing with a consistent emotional trajectory and presents you with so much to think about. the progression of satou's framing as a villain protagonist is some of the most interesting and emotionally crushing i've ever seen. there's a laundry list of trigger warnings involved but assuming you're prepared for that i am so serious
