Your stare found Hunter as soon as he stepped out of Cid's office. His brow was furrowed, and his eyes fluttered closed as he lifted his forefinger and thumb to pinch the bridge of his nose. You let out a quiet sigh and crossed your arms as you made your approach, catching him before he could get anywhere.

You set a hand on his arm. "Hey."

Hunter's eyes reopened, and despite the evident weight of exhaustion that weighed upon him, his gaze brightened at the sight of you. It made the corners of your mouth lift just a little bit higher as you gave him a once-over.

"Can you walk me back to the ship?"

Hunter didn't hesitate to nod. In fact, his shoulders lifted as he did so, as if some of the invisible weight had fallen off of them. He kept his helmet tucked underneath his arm as he gestured for you to lead the way.

Once the two of you were by yourselves on the streets of Ord Mantell, you began to speak again. "What's going on?"

Hunter looked over at you. "What do you mean?"

You snorted and raised your brow at him. "I haven't seen you this exhausted since our last sleepless mission."

Hunter let out a steady exhale and shook his head. His stare had focused back on the path ahead. "There's just... a lot to sort out still." He paused as his jaw circled. "With Cid, with Crosshair on our tail, with... whatever the hell else we're doing right now."

You moved closer to his side the moment you heard Crosshair's name. "Well, it's a good thing you don't have to figure it all out right now, isn't it?"

Hunter's stare flickered over to you. "The longer I take, the more dangerous everything becomes for all of us."

You were about to reassure him further when a pained breath escaped from between his gritted teeth. Your brow furrowed as you watched him pinch the bridge of his nose again.

Your hand settled on his arm. "Overstimulation migraine?"

Hunter lifted his fingers long enough to spare you a glance. "Yeah." He huffed and squeezed his eyes shut for a moment. "If I have to think about one more thing today, my head will explode."

You gave his arm a gentle rub and lowered your hand. "Then it's time to take your mind off things."

Hunter glanced up at the Marauder in the distance. "You make it sound so simple."

You bit your cheek, letting your mind run with all the things you wanted to say in response to his words—but not airing any of them out just yet. It was only when you two had entered the ship that you picked the right response. "I have an idea."

Hunter's movements slowed as he set his helmet aside. His stare found yours, and it never strayed, even as he spoke. "Yeah?"

You stayed where you were and let him approach you again. "Yeah."

Hunter crossed his arms and let his gaze flicker to your lips in a movement quick enough that you would have missed it if you weren't looking for it. "Then go ahead." He gestured to you with his head. "Tell me what my cure is."

You pretended to muse upon a thought. "It's easier shown than told, honestly."

Hunter's brow shot up. He began to smile as he nodded at you. "Okay. Show me."

You took a step forward. "Are you sure?"

Hunter's brow began to knit together. "Unless you have a reason for me not to—."

Yeah, you had to shut that down quickly. You couldn't take another moment of staring at him without action, anyway. Your hands held the sides of his face and pulled it to yours, busying him and his lips with the task of satisfying you.

That was something he was eager to do. It was messy in the way all good kisses should be, but also so utterly perfect. His arms had unfolded in favor of cradling you even closer to him, opening up his armored chest for you to set your hands upon.

When you pulled away, Hunter stayed close. Your gaze searched his. The quiet words he spoke dulled all the worries you had been seeking to resolve. "Kiss me again."

And who were you to deny him that?

Everything began to melt together the same way your mouths did, every sense blending and blurring. You could only hope it was soothing for Hunter's exhausted senses, but the eager way he pursued you and backed you up against the interior hull of the ship seemed to suggest as much.

You nearly jumped apart from him when another voice spoke across the ship. "Can you two keep it down over there? Some of us are actually trying to get some rest."

Echo. Why hadn't you checked the ship before this, and why hadn't Hunter sensed him? That migraine had to be even worse than Hunter had been letting on.

Hunter, however, wasn't fazed in the slightest. He chased your lips again and only broke apart to speak. "Suck it up," another kiss, "or get out."

Echo groaned in annoyance, and you smiled against the warmth of Hunter's mouth as you heard him stand and walk to the open hatch. "So much for trying to sleep around here."

You laughed, a sound that Hunter absorbed as he continued to seek his cure in you.

Hi everyone! Gonna keep this week's report brief since I'm currently in a grove with my editing/coding.

Coding: 85?% (Possibly even more!)

Bug Testing: 0%

I can confidently say the editing and coding should be done by this time next week!
