As far as jealousy goes, I don't really see any of the ROs as being the jealous type.

V is the only one I can see coming close, but only in the sense that they might glare at someone for having the audacity to flirt with MC in front of them lol. Amara is simply too self-assured to be bothered. And August is a habitual flirt himself and just doesn't put much stake in it tbh.

(Also, before I get into it, I do feel like all the ROs fall into the verse/switch camp so I'm just answering with what direction I think they lean more into.)

V: Switch with a slight preference for topping. Definitely more on the dom side lol. And as for kinks... well... does it count as roleplay if they're literally your boss? Asking for a friend.

Amara: Gives me service top energy. She definitely owns multiple strap-ons. I could see her being a soft dom. Not sure about kinks for her... maybe orgasm denial/edging type of stuff?

The writing for Chapter 5 has been progressing quite smoothly so far! I'm almost done with the first scene and have written a small part of the date scenes. I might even skip around a bit and finish the dates before I do the rest of the chapter haha.

Overall, I think this chapter should (hopefully) get finished faster than the last did. I think. Probably. Only time will tell. 😅

Hi author! What if the MC's powers caused a time regression in the MC themselves and they regressed to when they were a child (with the memories of when they were a child) how would the ROs react to a kid MC? 😂 Would August kill a child?

Oooooh, this sounds like it'd be an absolute disaster. Nice! I'm gonna assume for the sake of this ask that the ROs recognize MC even as a kid and have a good relationship with them.

V: Calm on the outside, freaking the fuck out on the inside. Tries to reassure kid!MC that everything's going to be okay while V frantically calls all their contacts in an attempt to fix this right now. Winds up contacting MC's parents to take over while they have a breakdown in their office lol. Spends at least an hour just sitting with their head in their hands.

Amara: Would have fun with it! She just kind of assumes it's a temporary thing anyway so decides to see what little MC (so cute! she would probably pinch MC's cheeks lol) wants to spend the day doing. Absolutely takes some embarrassing childhood photo(s) at some point to tease MC with later once they're back to normal.

August: "No", and, "what the fuck?" is about the only thing going through August's head. He does not know how to take care of kids and would either A: dump kid!MC off on someone else, or B: do something stupid like try to teach MC how to shoot a gun. Because. Why not? MC needs better combat skills anyway.

(As for MCs who don't have a good relationship with August. Well, even when August wants you dead, he would never hurt a kid. Meaning the MC of this scenario would be safe... until the little hiccup with their powers is resolved anyway. 😅)

Since I've only just started writing Chapter 5, today's report is a tad more vague than usual. I promise I'll have a more detailed description of the chapter's events next week!

But for now... this'll have to do. On the plus side, as part of the chapter outline I try to note down any variables I might need and for once I think I actually got them all. Yay! Hopefully that means I don't wind up going on a scavenger hunt through previous chapters for some specific variable I forgot I needed...

I haven't tried every single possible combination of routes, and you may not want to reveal the answer. But I'm wondering if there's any route where you meet August at the crime scene without having met him at the club in that particular life, but you remember who he is from your past life?

Sorry I'm a little confused with your wording here, it sounds like you're asking if MC can remember the previous timelines? MC remembers anything that they have personally experienced from a particular timeline.

There's a possibility things will become more muddled the more you time travel, and MC might, then, recall things they didn't actually experience themselves. But that doesn't happen for the scene in question.

To start with, in case anyone missed it, Chapter 4 was released recently. Woohoo!! I've really appreciated all the feedback I've gotten for it so far, thank you all so much!! 🥰

There were a few minor bugs/typos in Chapter 4 that I've since fixed. I've already updated the game with these fixes (a special thanks to the anon who alerted me to the pronoun issues for V in a couple places), but if anyone finds anymore please do let me know.

Honestly best thing is that we saw disheveled v for unfortunate reasons, so now we will be able to artfully notice the difference between sad overworked disheveled V and romantic flustered disheveled V.

Which means V’s attempt to hide/retreat/downplay will be unsuccessful!!

You know what? You're absolutely right. Disheveled Chapter 4 V is great but seeing V get disheveled and flustered in a romantic setting? So much better.

But at the same time when I saw I could make him feel guilty for well, kill mc (or thinking about doing that) and see his hesitation literally made me feel for him even more

Now im curious about if this happens only because him meeting mc and dancing with mc so when he met his target made all the things more personal and, for that, he is not able to continue with his job or what

Ps even if you don't escape your demise by flirting, can you have a date with him? I chose the option of making him feel bad cause I felt in that moment that option made August more human and three-dimensional, but if I have to trade saving MC's life for a date with him, I'll do it without a doubt. By the way, if you're not going to the club, can you flirt with him to get out of it or make him feel guilty? Or just bang bang.

One thing that is true that feels a little strange is the fact that you manage to get the name of the person who made the order but then the next day you don't say anything to the boss

Hahaha, oh yeah, August acts tough but he certainly does have a softer interior than even I initially planned for, but, honestly? I think it makes him a lot more interesting. Especially for the romance route. 😉

You're right on the money with thinking he might only be softer/guilty in that scene for having met MC. For MCs who avoided him at Club Pyre/didn't go... well, let's just say he's not nearly as nice lol. His hesitance only really comes from the unexpected connection he can develop with MC.

!!! Some Minor Chapter 4 Spoilers Below !!!

And yes!!! You absolutely can have a date with him even if you avoid the Chapter 4 encounter entirely, you just won't get some additional dialogue that comes with having asking him out prior.

I don't recall off the top of my head whether or not you can flirt your way out of the encounter with August without having met him at the club. I think you can? I'd have to check the code on that one. I will say, in general, it is MUCH harder to survive it without having met him and earned some degree of his respect/affection.

As for not telling V the name of the person who ordered the hit (if you learned that), I actually considered it, but adding it to that scene felt too out of place. Given the news V's delivering, even callous MCs are knocked off kilter by it, if not entirely shocked, so any plans of sharing that info gets pushed out of MC's mind (for the moment).

But you'll get an opportunity to talk to V and Amara about that (and some other things) in Chapter 5.
