oo do you have examples of issues that very clearly show jokers avoidant attachment style? I would guess on some level the ending of death of the family?

Well, I said that both him and Bruce rather fit the disorganized attachment style, which is also known as fearful-avoidant-- but Bruce has more "fearful", Joker has more "avoidant".

Bruce, despite all his misgivings, has multiple long-term meaningful relationships. But in Joker's case... intimacy and affection are simply out of the question. Humanity is out of the question, like in the example you've given with Death of the Family. The only person we know for sure he cares about is Bruce, and even in Bruce's case he wildly fluctuates between declaring undying love and genuinely trying to murder him out of spite and resentment. The second closest person to him would be Harley Quinn, and I do think on some level he cared about her, but his relationship with her was manipulative and abusive-- and he tried to kill her too. All of his relationships, outside of the one with Batman, are shallow, and it's because he keeps them shallow. People are something to kill, use, or make fun of, not persons to connect with. If there's any sign of emotion, Joker considers it a weakness. Caring gets you broken above a vat of acid at ACE Chemical factory, with a bat from hell scaring you into committing suicide.

Though I don't think Joker started out so avoidant, much like Bruce... who also started out as something else. Personally I see Bruce as having had an anxious/fearful attachment style prior to his parents' death. But then the loss pushed him into avoidance, and ultimately resulted in him displaying a disorganized or fearful-avoidant attachment style as an adult. Joker might've been fearful-avoidant to begin with, if we go by the likeliest background for him: growing up with abusive parents, then living in orphanages and foster homes, etc. Even the one interaction (remembered reliably or unreliably) with Jeannie in The Killing Joke points to a fearful-avoidant attachment:

He's blowing up at Jeannie, projecting his own self-hatred on her, and then immediately swings into begging for forgiveness. In the end, the core thing about disorganized attachment is... instability. Growing up, the child does not feel like their caregiver is reliable, there to provide food or shelter or the most basic emotional validation. Parents who fluctuate between moments of love and affection and moments of violence and abuse teach their children that love is a minefield. One wrong step, and the landmine blows-- and you never know what sets it off, so you wildly overcompensate or avoid. And Jack acts more like this towards Jeannie: he explodes with anger, gets scared she'll react badly, and then begs for forgiveness. It's also clear that he thinks his value is based in what he can provide. If he doesn't have anything to give Jeannie, will she still love him?

But where Jack was more classically fearful-avoidant, Joker is a lot more avoidant. Even though his life-defining trauma happened as an adult, it profoundly affected his view on the world. As Joker, he still has a need for connection (otherwise we wouldn't have Batjokes)-- but he also hates it and is actively trying to snuff it out. It's a bit ironic that essentially, only with Bruce is where the fearful/anxious part of his attachment style still comes out. Just like with Jeannie in that example, we constantly see him go between "It's your fault I became a monster! I hate your guts and I want you dead!" and "I do all this because I love you! I'm the only one who understands you! Please don't leave me!"

Reason 1 of why I liked Blossoms in Adversity -

- Romance

I didn't hear particularly great things about this aspect of the drama, but the way that it was talked about paradoxically made me sure that I would end up liking it. And I was right. Yey me.

And the reason for this was my probably not the most relatable quality. Because - hi, hello, I'm ace as hell. Nice to meet you.

One of the main reasons of why I can't finish many (especially het) dramas that have lots of romance in it is because in my opinion very few of them manage not to fumble the romance part. If the progression of events or characters doesn't make sense for me, then I just completely lose any interest in the story, even if the rest of it is immaculate. If the couple throughout the beginning is at odds with each other for legitimate reasons, how can they sleep together and declare undying love to each other after spending just one day frolicking outdoors? And they didn't even talk much about their issues while on the trip? I mean good for them I guess, but I don't get it.

So, the way that the relationship between Gu Yanxi and Hua Zhi was described by others (or maybe my ace senses were tingling idk), I just headcanonned them as an ace couple.

And it was awesome! They are both smart, strong and independent, they build their way into romance from a place of genuine friendship and actually liking each other as people, they have an ungodly amount of communication skills. They respect and treat each other as equals. They spend around 3 years together, some of it while being friends and helping each other with their respective problems, and the rest of it dating (going on dates, unraveling conspiracies and adopting almost the entire Imperial Family, one sad child at a time).

They don't have this awkward tension like some of the shows have, where the show is trying to desperately convince me by telling me that they are "so in love" without actually showing me why they are in love.

I love me some messed-up dynamic occasionally, but especially in m/f relationships what I love the most is seeing them as equal partners, a power couple if you will.

That's not to say that there is no drama between this two! Healthy does not mean boring

And yeah, I know that this is unrealistic, the way that Hua Zhi is so powerful in a period patriarchal China, how she treats everyone with respect despite their status, how she's even allowed such freedom, etc.

But I don't watch dramas for their gritty realism, I'm angry and resentful at this world enough as it is. Dramas are my escapism, the stories give me hope, and they are one of the very few reasons why I'm still alive.

And if the reason for me to feel good requires me to watch a a young woman in a historical settings in charge of her enormous family gaslight-gatekeep-girlboss her way into being adored and respected by the whole world because of how amazing she is, and a young man in charge of a terrifying organization breaking away from his toxic family situation and finding his peace and his people while helping the love of his life to dig out 17 (or 18) jars of wine, then so be it

Exactly!!!! Speaking as someone who was raised in a household with a parent who abused my other parent, my siblings, and me, nobody ever guessed. My dad was a model husband and father, as far as everyone not living in our house was concerned. He was highly intelligent, he had an upper class English accent (a guarantee of respectability to many Canadians, for some reason), and he’d been to the right English boarding schools.

He was intensely respectable and not many people believed a word against him. It was much easier to believe his ex-wife was some pathological bitch who was smearing his good name because of messy divorce shit. And she’d brainwashed those poor children of his into believing her nonsense. Such a sad case, that poor man. To lose not only his family but also to be slandered like that when he was a pillar of the community.

Some people stopped talking to my mom after the divorce because they’d rather believe she was hysterical than believe she was justifiably scared to death of that nice man. Some people stopped talking to me, because I backed her up. I was 13 fucking years old and they’d rather believe I was either too young to understand what violence really was, or a disturbed adolescent who was out of touch with reality. One of those, either would do.

Either way, it was my mom’s fault, not that nice man’s. The nice man who repeatedly threatened to break into our new house and stab her kids to death in front of her before slitting her throat. She went to the police about the death threats. They seemed like they believed her, until they interviewed her ex-husband and found him to be this lovely, cultured British man in a nice suit. He didn’t fit the stereotype of a monster, so clearly he must be a victim of a bitter ex-wife.

Incidentally, my father is now almost 80, and has stopped being able to keep up appearances due to cognitive decline. Now people actually believe me about him, now he’s a weird old man with bad hygiene, anger issues, and bizarre racist and anti-Semitic outbursts. They didn’t believe me back when I was 13 and their belief would’ve helped. Back then he could put on a good front of being a loving husband and father who was being dragged through the mud by his horrible ex-wife.

The one good thing about his current mental state is that when he broke his hip last year, the social workers at the hospital didn’t try too hard to convince his estranged fortysomething children (my younger siblings and me) to take him in. He was obviously an unpleasant old man we had good reason not to be close to since my mom got us the fuck away from him in 1990.

Best year of my life, 1990. Worst year of my life, too, because it was terrifying. But the best year of my life because there was suddenly a lockable front door separating us from him, and his name wasn’t on the deed. Suddenly not living in the same house as an abuser, after all my life so far in that house, was a revelation. But he put on a great front in public. He didn’t act like a monster, and only a monster would hit his wife and kids. So clearly his wife and kids must be deluded.

Tl;dr

Don’t assume all abusers (and that goes for rapists, etc too) are monstrous and easy to spot. Most of them can act like perfectly nice human beings when they’re being observed, or when they need to get their victims on side. And many of them are smart, manipulative people.

Is my father a monster through and through? No, of course not. One of the reasons it was so hard for my mother to leave him was he talked a great game when he knew she’d blown past fear of him into anger and thoughts of escape. He was always incredibly sorry when he needed to be sorry.

There were convincing-sounding promises to change, offers to go to therapy, declarations of undying love, and promises he would kill himself if she left him and took us kids with her. I think he even believed his histrionics himself. Bouquets of flowers and opera tickets for her, out of the blue presents for us. Thoughtful presents, usually. He knew what toys and books his kids were into. He was an abuser, but he wasn’t stupid or unobservant.

And I think in his own twisted way he loved us. He’d just been raised in a family where his dad hit his mom, and hit him. He thought it was normal, I guess. My grandmother died when he was 15. There’s no proof, but family lore suggests she probably died by suicide. Just hushed up by my very respectable grandfather and an understanding doctor. My dad often begged my mother not to abandon him the way his mother had abandoned him.

I often believed his promises at the time. He was my dad, he was supposed to protect his family, not hurt us. So when he said he would change, it took a while before I developed sufficient cynicism that I knew his good behaviour wouldn’t last. The promises of change never lasted, but he was excellent at being vulnerable when necessary.

And I think he even convinced himself. So no, not a monster. It would’ve been much easier if he had been. Being simultaneously terrified of someone hurting you, and worried you’re hurting them, is a thing when you have an abuser in your life. I suppose my dad knew that too, when he was a kid himself. I never saw my paternal grandfather hit anyone, but I had zero doubt he was capable of it. We didn’t see him much, as he lived on the other side of the Atlantic. But he was a lot like my dad, in both good and bad ways. Same extravagant gestures in a good mood, same explosive temper in a bad one.

Oh, and I happen to know WHY my grandfather was so horrible. My great-grandmother did not want another child, and tried to get an abortion. Her husband found out and threatened to have her locked up in an asylum. This was decades before abortion was legal in any country. She repeatedly told her youngest child she didn’t love him and had wanted an abortion, even in front of her grandchildren (my dad and his brothers).

I know this because Uncle #1 is the best of the lot. He got therapy in prison (long story), and continued getting therapy after being released. He is by far the most well-adjusted person on my dad’s entire side of the family, despite being the only convicted felon. He talked to me, not only about my grandmother’s suicide, but also about his childhood memories of my grandfather (his and my dad’s father) and how my great-grandmother never lost a chance to remind her youngest child he was unwanted and unloved. Or to disparage her grandchildren by that child.

My father abused his wife and kids because he learned that at his father’s knee. My grandfather abused his own wife and kids because his mother was abusive to him. Christ only knows what happened to her as a child that made her think scapegoating her youngest child and constantly telling him she wished he’d never been born was okay.

Is it “inappropriately humanizing abusers” for me to talk about the context in which my father, grandfather, and great-grandmother perpetuated abuse against their own families as adults? Those conversations with Uncle #1 about the dynamic he remembered between my grandad and my great-grandmother (who died before I was born) were revelatory for me. My dad was abusive, but he also was abused, etc, etc.

Intergenerational abuse is a vicious cycle, but it is a cycle people can step away from. Given sufficient motivation and sometimes therapy, the cycle can be broken. My father did not choose to step away from it. And that’s on him. I haven’t exactly forgiven him for what he put us all through when I was a kid. But he was a scared little boy once upon a time just like I was a scared little girl. Writing off abusers as monsters ignores that fact.

My dad’s not a monster. He’s a victim who grew up to victimize others in his turn, rather than a victim who broke the Intergenerational cycle of abuse. Breaking it by either not having children, or actively choosing to reject abusive parenting and to give their children better than what they grew up being subjected to.

"don't humanize villains"/"this abuser is a monster" is some of the worst character discourse in fandom. abusers are not other. abusers are not always easy to recognize. othering someone who's done terrible things from humanity is an arrogant, poisonous idea.

that is a person who is doing those things, and you want so badly to be unable to fall into such patterns of harm and abuse that you will force that person into another category of species altogether, and in so doing you spare yourself from introspection and you give yourself a pretty little pedestal to stand on and you shame everybody who fell for a red flag that is surely so easy to recognize. and you give into prejudice you assign moral values to attributes outside of yourself and you think you are so above doing harm that you could never act in such a way, even as it is a capability within all of us to do so.

CC Headcannon: Astoria Malfoy wanted to make sure that Scorpius didn’t have the same attitude as his family had towards muggles and muggleborns so she taught him a lot about muggles as a kid. After she died, Scorpius wanted to continue learning about them because he felt that it was what his mum would’ve wanted and he felt like it was one of the only things he had left of her. This fuelled his passion for muggle studies. He learns about all kinds of muggle things and gains a *very* big hyperfixation on muggle music and brings his new wired earphones with him everywhere.

When him and Albus later declare their undying love for each other, Scorpius is invited round to dinner at the Potter house. He’s really nervous and starts rambling about the most random things and eventually settles on teaching them all about muggle music. Harry turns out to have a very similar taste in music to Scorpius as they’re both 80s nerds and Harry lived with the Dursleys for ages so knows his fair share of muggle music.

They talk for hours and hours about Queen, Nirvana, The Killers etc and Albus pretends to understand what they’re on about but Harry reminds Albus that he’s tried to teach him many, many times about the wonders of muggle life, but he’s always refused.

When the boys go back to Hogwarts, Albus finally agrees to listen to muggle music. Albus ends up loving it and makes a playlist of all the songs that remind him of Scorpius.

Albus then sends Scorpius the link to the playlist as a Christmas gift and it turns out Scorpius did the same for him and it’s so f-ing cute!! They both end up putting their earphones in and listening to each other’s playlists for hours on end and Harry and Scorpius continue to bond over their similarities in muggle music taste and it’s like the cutest thing ever <33

First of all, Iruma is best boy! He loves his friends and his family, his instinct is to help others, and like… just look at him. So good, so pure. But what truly makes Iruma a protagonist worthy of having a slide to himself is his character development. He actually starts off as a completely selfless person due to how his awful parents groomed him, and his whole character arc is learning how to be more selfish. Of course, Iruma’s selfishness manifests as eating all the food he wants, holding on to his family and friends, and finding ambition.

Sullivan (the first guy) adopts Iruma as his grandson after his parents sold him. This dude radiates grandpa energy and his number one priority is to spoil his new grandson. He’s also the principal of the school he sends Iruma too. And one of the most powerful demons in the netherworld. Opera is Sullivan’s butler, and warms up to Iruma a bit slower than Sullivan (so like a few days). They’re not very expressive facially. Rather they mainly express emotions through their ears and tail. They’re a total Badass™ and surprisingly mischievous. Alice Asmodeus (on the left of the 3rd pic) swore his undying loyalty to Iruma after Iruma accidentally kicked his ass. This man is ride or die, and honestly my words can’t do him justice so it’s better if you just experience this gay disaster for yourself. Clara Valac (right of the same pic) is a gremlin and I love her. Her priority is to play with her friends All. The. Time. But she also has insecurities about her personality after it stopped her from making friends. I put Ameri Azazel (please step on me) in between them. She’s the student council president, a badass, and a huge romantic. Naberius Kalego is the homeroom teacher of the misfit class (the class Iruma ends up in.) He’s a Very strict teacher, but genuinely cares about his students and is good at his job. There are so many other characters, but I want to avoid spoilers and get sleep tonight.

14 year old Suzuki Iruma was raised by his parents to do chores and make them money. Eventually they decided that he wasn’t bringing in enough, so they sold him to a demon who takes him to the netherworld. Instead of eating him though, Sullivan (the demon) asks him to become his grandson, and Iruma, who’s unable to say no under any circumstances, says yes. He starts school at the demon school Babyls (pictured above) where he attends as the only human. Of course if anyone finds out they’ll eat him. While at school, he realizes that he doesn’t have an ambition of his own, so Ameri suggests that he try climbing the ranks (all demons are ranked by their power you know the drill).

This manga is hilarious! With such jokes as Iruma eating a ridiculous amount of food, every interaction between Asmodeus and Clara, and Ameri’s obsession with shojo manga. One of the funniest bits is that due to some unfortunate circumstances, Kalego becomes Iruma’s familiar, and you’ll learn all about this if you check it out, but for now all you need to know is that that fluffy chicken is Kalego. Crossdressing has been used for comedy like three times now, but not in a degrading way. It’s not the butt of the joke or anything. That’s Iruma, and he looks fucking amazing as many other characters have said many times 100% seriously. Moving on, cause explaining humor is difficult!

I adore how Clara is allowed to be a hyperactive gremlin, and I’m not talking “oh she’s quirky” I’m talking playing involves battle axes and acting like a demon bowling ball. You know the trope where the powerful girl isn’t actually that serious and instead is a huge romantic? Well Ameri may be a romantic, but her seriousness isn’t an act. She is 100% dedicated to her ambitions. And look at the designs for some of the recurring background characters! Too often in fantasy settings the female monsters, demons, etc are reduced to almost entirely human, with the exact same body type, and maybe horns or something. Not Here! There’s also the girls in the misfit class who all have their own motivations and interests. I’m also now realizing how many tall girls are in this series… awesome.

Ok so the fact that there’s even more than one queer character already make this amazing. But in addition to that, it’s never treated like a big deal. I mean look at the second picture “gender doesn’t matter to demons” love wins! So Eiko is a recurring character who has a huge crush on both Iruma and Ameri, and later becomes comrades with Asmodeus specifically when it comes to Iruma (they share photos of him it’s hilarious). Asmodeus having a crush on Iruma isn’t explicitly stating, but like I’d like to see someone argue that he doesn’t. Besides, his feelings are always treated the same as Clara’s and Eiko’s when it comes to Iruma. The holy grail of representation though is Opera who’s never referred to by gendered terms. The english dub of the anime actually specifically uses they/them pronouns. When I tell you I screamed! I could go on, but I’m I’m trying to avoid introducing too many characters.

In Mairimashita! Iruma-kun a good family supports and loves each other completely, regardless of blood relations. But it’s not either or. Sullivan, Opera, and Iruma are my golden standard for found family. I mean their love of Iruma is over the top and unconditional, which is what Iruma needs after a life without any such love from his parents. Biological relations are shown as something that isn’t always great, yet it’s not something to be expected either. Clara’s family is a gift, and Asmodeus’ family is one of the funniest dynamics I’ve seen.

These are typically considered negative traits, but here they are portrayed as desirable and useful. And it’s a convincing argument. Through Iruma we see that having your own ambitions and getting pissed is necessary for living a fulfilling life, and we see this because he starts out without having that. Every single time Iruma declares his own ambitions or says something selfish it’s just… chills. It’s always a powerful scene. Whenever Iruma gets truly pissed over something (which has legitimately only happened twice) we all cheer cause we’re so proud of him. I could write a whole essay about this one aspect of the story, but just know that I consider this to be an incredibly compelling narrative, and my favorite part of Mairimashita! Iruma-kun.

In conclusion, I’m posting this on my birthday, so as a present I would like more people to get into this fandom because it deserves a larger fanbase.

Do you think levihan is canon?

I’m guessing you’re not asking about my overall opinion on 139, so I’ll just leave it here as a Levihan opinion. I could probably do another rant about my overall opinion of the ending but probs another time.  

And I have been meaning to make this meta for a while and I kinda wanted to wait for the last chapter cause for some crazy reason, I was a clown hoping that Levihan would just suddenly happen? Like maybe in the paths, she walks to him or something 

But woop. We have to search again for the crumbs like we’re on some scavenger hunt. 

And you know what? I like it this way. Thank you Yams for not butchering your characters over one ship. Thank you for portraying so realistically what romance between two mature adults with responsibilities is actually supposed to look like. 

So yeah, before we go into it, I did go around asking about other ships and I realized, maybe we have been using the word ‘canon’ incorrectly. Or so, that’s the first thing I thought. 

I had a conversation with my sister a few days back (who hates Levihan if it isn’t obvious), and she used to be an avid Klaroline shipper back in the day (The Vampire Diaries), and she explained that a the fandom actually don’t see Klaroline as a canon couple even if they were teased throughout the show (fucked, kissed and everything in between) since it isn’t end game. 

So to lay out my terms here and just be incredibly clear about it. I consider Levihan canon, but I do not consider them end game because they obviously aren’t, 132 happened and Hange didn’t come back.. 

So what do i mean by canon? 

There are lots of nuances here to consider when we call them canon. 

For one, fandoms wait for the couple to be ‘official’ kiss and all. Other fandoms wait for the end before they say it, because no matter how many times two characters fuck, kiss and declare their undying love, if they don’t commit, if they don’t make it to the end, then it’s not canon. 

When I say Levihan is canon, I clearly mean,  even if they didn’t end up together, they probably could have still been in a relationship, they probably could have still been in love. They probably actually held a stronger and much more nuanced bond than whatever main couple we watch in some sappy romantic drama. 

And maybe they actually did fall in love behind closed doors? Maybe they meta-ed their own relationship together and maybe they’ve discussed it and maybe they were aware. ( have a meta about it here)

But here’s the thing, we’ll never know, because in Season 4, after A LOT of the development of their relationship could have been implied, Levi and Hange were separated from each other so we actually didn’t get a lot of scenes of them closely together until 115, 126 etc. 

And here is the part where people call me delusional? Because people who invalidate our ship like to do that.

Because yes.. They’re just ultra mega besties. 

AND I GET SO FRUSTRATED AT THIS TAKE. LIKE SINCE WHEN HAS ROMANCE EVER RUINED FRIENDSHIPS?

It doesn’t make any sense??? Like I have no idea how people are having relationships when the first they think when they get into a relationship is “I don’t wanna ruin this friendship,” 

I get confessing and rejecting can ruin a relationship but getting into a relationship? How does that ruin a friendship. 

I’m sorry I know that is such a trope but like yo, half the time when people ask about me and my boyfriend (who started of as bestfriends) WE GOT INTO THIS RELATIONSHIP BECAUSE WE WANTED TO BE ‘BESTIES’ IN OTHER DIMENSIONS AS WELL. 

AND WE WANTED TO BE SUPER ULTRA MEGA BESTIES (lovers in short). 

It is inevitable that you will be best friends with your partner. Yo, if your partner aint one of your besties or one of your most trusted confidants, you might wanna... you know, reevaluate your relationship???

Like, I’m incredibly choosy with romance ships like if people noticed, I only ever have written this much for Levihan. 

And one main reason for this really is because writers have a tendency of messing with a story, doing things that don’t make sense so the couple that is slated to get together, actually ends up together.

And the development never seemed natural half the time? Because some writers are just obsessed with making their pair happen. And what do they do after? They put them into so much drama which makes me question the overall health of the relationship.

nd I dunno, media is probably messing with this perspective of love by saying obviously problematic relationships are canon. So yeah even if he punched his girlfriend ONCE, and even if she cheated on him ONCE, they probably still loved each other so they’re canon lmao.

And call me a puritan here or something but there are certain things people do in a relationship and when it happens I will just sit there and say, that ain’t love, do you guys even love each other? 

And sorry I’m probably that asshole friend who would probably hate your toxic partner and will probably just tell you I’m not showing up to your wedding if I don’t like your partner.

I will not condone cheating AT ALL. I personally do not want to consider ‘canon’ any relationship where two people cheat on each other. I personally do not wanna consider ‘canon’ a relationship that thrives on miscommunication issues either because I dunno if I just got into the wrong relationship or something? But like at the age of 24, we actually talk stuff out 

Like woah, there are couples who don’t talk things out? Like what do you do when you’re stuck with each other 24/7? NOt TALK? 

I will consider canon any ship that runs on implicit trust, this belief that they should be constantly there with each other. Because that’s what love is. That’s what a relationship is and I’m gonna live my whole life believing that these are the only things that make up love for me. 

Love is trust. Love is a strong bond. Love is just two people giving and taking and sacrificing for each other. And Love is this commitment to make something work with the other person. 

And if it isn’t any of the things above, ‘sorry for invalidating’ but it ain’t love and by extension, it ain’t canon for me.  

Tbh, I think that’s the reason Levihan has been incredibly uneventful relationship wise actually made it so much for me that I thought they were pretty much canon. I still have issues with how Eremika was pulled off even if they were blatantly canon and had more than enough blatant crumbs. 

Because sure Eren and Mikasa did love each other but I guess their relationship was just so problematic since the start that even I was like ‘do you guys really love each other?’ half the time and I was constantly thinking about Mikasa’s mental health there like yo, why you so obsessed with him. There’s literally a Jean there who would probably treat you 124543x better,  

But for Levi and Hange we had parallels with Eremika. And we had crumbs

With putting his crumbs for Levihan, from the airplane, unrequited titan love, let’s live together, Hange’s longing face and the Levi’s dedicate your heart and the fact that HANGE NEVER LEFT HIS SIDE UNTIL THEY DIED, come on, I don’t know what people aren’t seeing. 

But the point is, (Okay understandable since Levi and Hange are older), Personally I just believe Levi and Hange approached their relationship more like mature adults than hormonal teenagers. Like so sorry, they decided to approach their relationship like adults instead of some teenager who bird poops on any guy who tries to cheat on Mikasa. 

Here’s the thing, Hange probably never would have complained like Eren. I honestly believe it was totally in character for her to just look down on him longingly from the paths. And I personally believed Levi had approached their relationship with a kind of acceptance like ‘ ay yo, we’re too busy for this but maybe after the war?’ that’s why even towards the end, the only way he lets himself be reminded of her was through watching the airplane and thinking of her. *fudge I’m tearing up* 

I guess the fact that they really approached this relationship and this bond like how they’re characters were supposed to, the fact that they threw everything away for the sake of the war. Yet the fact that we saw ALL THIS CRUMBS that there could have been something more if they just weren’t captain and commander in the middle of the war, just makes this so fucking canon to me. 

I would probably be speculative if we just had 115? Or maybe just 126? Or maybe just 132? But the thing is, the crumbs never stopped coming. There were so many things Yams could have CHOSEN not to do. But he did everything so deliberately from ‘let’s live together’ to ‘unrequited love’ to the Eremika parallels. 

Did he have to draw that airplane in the air and Levi making eye contact with Onyakopon? Okay I wonder why he did that? Cause really what connects Levi to Onyakopon? WHAT PLANE SCENE CONNECTS LEVI TO ONYAKOPON? 

I dunno man, but really at this point, this is so canon. Like sure Eremika takes the cake for most blatantly canon. 

But given the terms I’ve stated above for what I believe romance, love, relationships and canon is for me. 

Levihan is canon and it probably is the most canon relationship for me. Because the blatant lack of drama in the portrayal of their relationship for me just proves, Levi and Hange were very sure about their relationship with the other, I could probably say they were the two surest people in love in the whole damn show. 

THEY JUST COULDN’T GET TOGETHER BECAUSE OF CIRCUMSTANCES. (WHICH MAKES THEM ALL THE MORE ADMIRABLE ANYWAY)

theres no way hes been in a relationship before, never even kissed someone before. you best believe hes going to go all in hes so starved for love

he needs to hear every single thing about your life, even the littlest things. he will remember it all, and asks so many questions too. could listen to you talk for hours and never get bored. your life is so different from his, he finds it fascinating. always wants to know more.

at the beginning of the relationship he has an extremely hard time controlling himself and finding whats right and wrong in a romantic relationship. you have to be very open with your boundaries or he’ll treat you like a doll, he cant help himself hes just so enamored.

does SO much research on relationships, he doesnt like the advice he finds but hes looking in all the wrong places. seven gives him links for real advice from real people reddit instead of mens magazines because those all suck. jumin starts to ask him for help whenever hes curious about something and seven will find a link for him to read. it helps bridge their relationship a bit more. seven is one of those friends thats amazing at relationship advice but for some reason desperately single.

even though he’s new to relationships and still trying to figure it out, that does not mean hes bad at it. no sir. this man was raised on romantic novels and cheesy soap operas. he knows his way into your heart easy peasy

the most beautiful arrangements of flowers delivered to your doorstep, your favorite foods from the most gourmet restaurants in seoul sent right to your work, hand written love letters sealed in wax sent to you while he’s away on business. declares his undying love for you over the phone almost daily.

hes never been around women much before, rikas the exception but he wasnt around around her like you would be with a lover. so hes interested finding out about your habits, routines, likes. the way you cook breakfast in the morning, the way you do your bedtime routine, your afterwork routine. always finding something new to love about you every new day.

he really adores anything and everything you think is a flaw. he prefers you with your quirks rather than aiming for perfection. theres nothing wrong with being “plastic” but the majority of those types of women he’s been around are the rich snobby type more than every day women. he prefers you. again hes never been close to many women so its kind of amazing but sad the things you can find to think harshly about. things he absolutely would never imagine someone being insecure about in the first place. he loves this body, it makes him upset when youre so critical to it.

he’ll explain to you what goes on behind the scenes of corporations and how exactly they make you insecure about those odd little things just to profit off of it, theres nothing wrong with you to begin with but if you believed that then they would be out of business, you see. knowing that aspect of things is why hes understanding but still saddened by your insecurities.

Initially Arcade HATES Elysio lmao like if he was on fire and Arcade had a glass of water Arcade would throw the water in the opposite direction while flipping him off

Once Summer was able to get away from E at the initial scuffle she Hauls Ass back to the Lucky 38 (most of the companions live here part time, makes it easier to go on missions jdskjs) and is like UMM we got a problem!!!

So yeah Arcade is hella protective of Summer, wont let her even go down to the casino floor of the L38 alone. He also is afraid that E ~knows~ about him and his family. (Also in ~my~ AU of sorts I headcanon that Arcade sat everyone down and aired it all out.) E vaguely knows of more prominent members of the Navarro base but Arcades dad was just some officer so E probably never heard of him.

After S and E finally talk it out, she invites him to stay in NV (much to EVERYONEs dismay lol) Arcade always tries to have eyes on him at all times, be it him or Boone or Veronica, etc. After a few months E confronts them all and is like 'if I wanted you guys dead you would be' and S is like ok true everyone settle down. After that everyone is still sus but starts to chill out.

Arcade and E avoid each other if they can help it but there are times when they are forced to exist next to each other, which helps their very very very small budding of friendship grow lol Arcade eventually asks E what being in the Enclave as a child to adulthood was like and stuff. Arcade never explicitly tells E that he is Enclave born but with how observant E is, he has a hunch that Arcade knows more than he lets on, but chooses not to push it. When they get in heated 'discussions' E usually pulls away first cause 1. he doesn't want to punch Arcade 2. if Arcade keeps mouthing off like that then E is going to have to shut him up somehow 👀

First KJ saying he and Lili have a lot scenes together, then writers changing Betty's personality so she can become Archie's doormat and now this Betty's interview about ba having a emotional scene... Seriously their fans are so sure ba is not only happening post time jump but for the whole season and I- I don't know, I swear I'm not a troll but I'm really starting to lose hope. I don't even want to think about it because I'm a huge Varchie fan and like I could survive a few episodes of those two cheaters dating, but the whole season? OOOOOKAY nonnie, and other 39 anons I’ve got ever since Lili mentioned the word “emotional” somewhere.

Listen to me. I’m old (lol) and shouldn’t even be in the Riverdale fandom but I am and here we are, this show is entertaining, I love writing fics for it and I love Varchie, Veronica, Archie, Bughead, and all the characters. I just don’t love B*rchie, as you guys know, and the writers. But anyway, this love and dedication for my hobby -- before I get anyone else saying I should get a life (I’ve got a troll recently saying that) -- has brought me many great friends, some of which work in the industry or are close to people who do. I don’t say the stuff I say just because I’m big brained, it’s a combination of analyzing spoilers, behind-the-scenes, the actors interviews, reviewers analysis, and hints from people who definitely know more than I do.

Do I know everything? No. Can I be wrong and fall flat face and y’all will hate me? Unlikely, but it can happen.

However, listen to me when I say: Varchie and Bughead are not threatened by Betty and Archie dating in seven years from now. 

Of course, it’s bumming that they have to go there, that the cheating plot happened (even though RAS clearly rewrote stuff to downplay it) and that they’ll be explored, but explored is the key word here. I’ve been telling you guys since May that Betty and Archie are gonna date after the time-jump. I’ve been telling you guys that I just didn’t know if they’d start together already or if they’d start because they see their main romantic interests with other people. Lili’s interview basically confirms the latter.

Do I know if Archie and Betty have feelings for each other that were lingering for seven or however many years etc etc? No, I don’t know. But think logically, it was bound to happen. They’re all going to be apart. Betty and Archie were best friends their entire life (as KJ said in his interview, where he called her his best friend 3 times and never mentioned ‘love’ unless talking about Veronica) and it’s probably easier for them to reconnect. Lili alluded to Betty going through some changes, too. Nostalgia is B*rchies biggest theme so far, so why would it be different? They’re all coming back. Jughead has a girlfriend, even if not for long. Veronica has a husband. It’s the next logical step, to have them date.

I know the big B*rchie accounts out there will try to make it look like BA are having this epic slow burn build up that will come to a head around episode 10/11 (filmed in February) where Archie will give her flowers and declare his undying love or something, but please. The casting call was proved fake but even if it wasn’t, this isn’t going to happen. You guys -- us Varchies especially -- need to stop catering to the B*rchies narrative so easily just because they’re loud. KJ and Lili most likely have already filmed their romantic arc, are probably in the way of finishing this arc right now (hence the ‘emotional’ scene), he’s been steadily filming with Cami, Chris and other people involved in that arc, even if in group scenes, and their schedules (and Lili and Cole’s too) are bound to change from now on to be more focused around each other.

Trust me when I say this isn’t permanent. Bughead and Varchie are not going anywhere and the only people who believe that are just catering to this narrative that the BAs plant in our minds through their excessively annoying tweeting of headcanons and well-crafted edits.

Also, and just because I don’t want to answer anyone else, people need to STOP blaming this arc on Lili or KJ or Cole. Cole and Lili breaking up hasn’t affected the storyline, they are professionals and will film together again. Lili and KJ are talking about B*rchie now because that’s the storyline for early in the timejump and it’s their job to promote half of the ship they’re in. I know before hand Lili hasn’t enjoyed the idea of B*rchie but she has no power over the narrative, and if she does now, what if she changed her mind? She’s not gonna change what the writers have in store; if she did, Betty would have never stripped in front of a group of grown man, I’m sure.

KJ doesn’t ship B*rchie or Varchie, Lili doesn’t ship Bughead or B*rchie, they’re professional actors getting paid to tell this story. They enjoy working together because they’re friends just as KJ and Cami, KJ and Cole, Cami and Cole, etc. And as for Sprousehart breaking up affecting the storyline: this isn’t One Tree Hill.

So, I hope this help keep your chin up. It won’t be easy to see BA dating, but you have to trust Archie and Veronica’s and Betty and Jughead’s journey, that has been built for four seasons already, and it’s clearly not over. You guys need to keep your focus on them. And if BA dating affects you a lot, just jump season 5A and you’ll be most likely good.

Sarah Z Silenced Me!

I’m a black queer SPN fan as I’ve said before. I just watched a nearly 2 hour long video Sarah Z made about the Supernatural finale. She makes it so obvious that’s she’s a Heller and Minion. She spends most of the video making references to Misha while barely mentions Jared and the only talk of Jensen is her talking at length about his alleged homophobia. She claims Castiel is “the most important character” on the show. She seems to want to convince that Supernatural queerbaited, but uses the same old problematic stereotypes and congratulates Misha on being so pro Destiel while it makes everyone else uncomfortable (yeah because he wants your money, girl!) She also seems to think that seasons 14 and 15 where leading up to canon Destiel (girl, where????) with no real evidence of it. I left this comment…yeah I know it’s long!

“I’ve been a hardcore SPN fan for a long ass time, I grew up on it, been to cons, done foolish things in the name of Gish etc etc. I thought the finale was beautiful, I’m not really a crier and I was sobbing. I loved the more laid back cover of "Carry On…”. I have never seen the appeal in Destiel and as a queer fan I actually find it to be incredibly problematic and not at all representative of anything other than bad stereotypes and toxicity (every other LGBTQIA+ fan I speak to feels the same way). The shippers have gone way too far, its become cult like and has turned SPN into a mockery, they are a small but very loud part of the fandom who manage to make all of us look bad to the cast and crew and even people outside of fandom culture. Many The Boys fans are not looking forward to Jensen joining the show for no other reason than the possibility that some of them may follow him and they don’t want that kinda energy over there. The show didn’t queerbait us because everyone involved with the exception of Misha Collins have been very clear its not real and would never be canon. Anyone who managed to convince themselves otherwise despite repeatedly being told it wouldn’t happen played themselves and have no one to be upset with other than themselves (and maybe Misha because he kinda encouraged them to sell merch which he shouldn’t have done knowing their reputation.)

PS the accusations that the CW, with so much rep on its network, would go to great lengths to somehow edit the American airing of the show to “silence” Dean from declaring his undying gay love for Castiel (who’s I love you I still see as platonic. You can look up to someone, have them be a good influence in your life and love them dearly without wanting to screw their brains out) Why then with so much homophobic rage for just this one specific show and only two very specific characters they decide they must stop Dean saying “me too” or whatever at any cost would they let the “super secret REAL script” play out on screen in another country for a show with a dedicated global fanbase. Why would a network with so much rep, that makes sure to have diversity on their network, want to conspire to stop Dean Winchester specifically. Like I���m seeing conspiracy theories and hashtags that would make flat earth truthers embarrassed for destiel shippers detachment from reality. “

Women in God's Economy - James 1:27

Subject: A look at the special role of women in God's economy.

Women, in God's economy, are highly esteemed. Throughout history, God has utilized women in some of the most profound and significant ways! God had ordained that it would be through the loving care and concern of a woman that Moses would be rescued – resulting in the deliverance of the Hebrews from their Egyptian captivity (Ex. 2:5-6). It was a strong woman (Deborah) whom God would anoint with the Holy Spirit as a prophetess and judge to shepherd and lead Israel in a time of crisis (Judges 4:4-5). It was through the heartfelt prayers of a woman (Hannah) that God gave Israel one of their most significant prophets (Samuel) (1 Sam. 1:9-17). It was through a prophetess (Isaiah 8:3) that the Lord would give one of the greatest messianic signs in the entire Bible (Isaiah 7:14; 8:3, 18; 9:6-7). It was through a woman of great faith (Mary) that the Lord would give birth to Jesus Christ – The most significant moment in God's redemptive plan (second only to the resurrection of Jesus) (Luke 1:26-38). It was through an incredibly devote woman and prophetess named Anna that God would issue one of the earliest declarations of Jesus' messiahship (Luke 2:36-38). It was through a wealthy businesswoman named Lydia that God would choose to plant and shepherd the first church in Philippi - the first church outside Asia Minor (Acts 16:13-15, 40).

But it does not stop there! Within God's kingdom, God ordained that both men and women bare the image of God – the imago Dei. Genesis 1:26-28 declares:

"Then God said, 'Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.'

So God created mankind in his own image,

in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them, 'Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it'" (NIV).

This little passage holds incredible significance. It not only demonstrates God's desire for his image-bearers to fill the earth with his image and likeness with the intent of bringing glory to God across the earth. But it also shows the unified effort of the community in bearing the image of God.

It is no coincidence that God's image and likeness are born in both "male and female." The Genesis account makes clear that the completeness of God's image is found in both male and female. It is the totality of God's community – the confluence of men and women – which shows the glorious entirety of God's image and likeness. The combination of attributes that make men and women unique are the elements that holistically comprise the image and likeness of God. In other words, the natural qualities of men (the drive to conquer, dominate, earn respect, etc...) and the natural qualities of women (the drive to care, nurture, maternally raise, etc...) together grant the whole picture of God's image and likeness. Neither men by themselves, nor women by themselves can represent the entirety of God's image and likeness. It is only through community that God's greatness can be fully seen.

That being said, God created women to represent the more beautiful attributes of himself. Everything that represents God's care, maternal concern, gentleness, and undying love is present in women. Without you, the full majesty and beauty of God would not be seen on earth nor represented to the unbelieving world. It was all within God's grand design to create "mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." Within God's economy, women are highly esteemed and greatly valued. If this wasn't the case, he never would have created you in his image and likeness to bear his beauty on earth!

Guess what! It doesn't stop there! I want to highlight one more detail of significance regarding women within the economy of God.

True Religion (James 1:27)

In James 1:27, we are given an inspired description of what true, or pure, religion is. James states, "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." In this incredible passage, God is setting up a picture of what is true religion. This picture of pure religion is set in a remarkable and challenging contrast.

Beginning in verse 22, James begins to paint the picture of what is pure religion. Of course, he starts by stating what it is not; he states how it is not found in hearing only. He illustrates how investigating, scanning, or searching scripture that leads only to hearing God's Word is useless.

God then goes on to shows us how hearing the Word of God is useless unless it produces action. We need to be both hearers and doers of God's Word. This is true, God-honoring religion. All-day long we can investigate Scripture, but, if we do no act upon what is written therein, our religion is useless and we deceive ourselves into thinking we participate in something that honor's God.

"But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing" (1:22-25).

This picture of pure religion, then, comes to its final portrait in verse 27 where we are instructed to "visit" the orphan and the widow. James sets up the comparison in his usage of the word visit (ἐπισκέπτεσθαι - episkeptomai). Fascinatingly, this Greek work holds two implications: 1) it maintains the idea of investigating, looking upon, examining with the eyes, and to look with intent upon something (much like the image of the man looking intently into the mirror in verse 23-24). Secondly, 2) it is Hebraic terminology for "looking upon in order to help or to benefit, [and is] equivalent to look after, have a care for, provide for" (Thayer's Lexicon). This can be witnessed in the Septuagint's rendering of Gen. 21:1 and Exodus 4:31. And it is further reinforced in Psalm 10:14, where God is described as looking intently upon the needs of the widow and the orphan.

James thusly, in describing true religion, makes a comparison between examination and investigation which leads to action. The comparison is clearly set between the individual who intently examines and searches scripture and is moved to action WITH the individual who examines and searches out the needs of the afflicted so as to act on their behalf.

This ultimately offers the principle of caring for, and loving, those who are afflicted. We have given to us from this scripture that God-honoring religion is the one that seeks out, examines lives, and investigates one's immediate context to identify those who need tender care and loving action. This is the principle we see from James: we are to intently examine our surroundings to see those to whom we can care for and love. We are to actively love our neighbor, after diligently looking for an opportunity to act!

Moms – the picture of true religion!

The picture that is being painted here is this: true, Christ-honoring religion is like a mother scanning and examining her household to see how she can attend to the children who need her love and care! James paints the picture of Christianity as being one of action on behalf of the weak and needy. What could be a more appropriate picture of the greatest commandment in Christianity than the love of a mother for those in her home!

Moms you are a living parable! You are a visual demonstration of God's desire for the church. God chose to use the natural instincts and inherent maternal care for raising their children as one of the greatest pictures of what Christianity should look like. According to this, women, mothers specifically, are used by God as a kingdom of example for how Christians should live.

This concept is not only found here, in James. It is also demonstrated through the life of the Apostle Paul.

1 Thess. 2:7-8, "But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children. So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us" (ESV).

Paul describes how he patterned his actions after the care of a mother for her children. Paul, being obedient to Jesus' instruction to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Matt. 22:39), followed this kingdom principle of gentle self-giving, nurture, and maternal protection. Paul seemed to know how one of the greatest ways to raise the infant church in Thessalonica was to proverbially imitate the love of a mother.

Jesus also demonstrated this concept.

Following some of the hardest words to ever leave his lips, Jesus stated, "How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing" (Matt. 23:37). Jesus, revealing the heart of God, declares his desire for Jerusalem. His heart's cry was to gather Israel, like a mother hen gathering her chicks under her wings. He came in the fullness of time to gather his people to himself, just a mother would gather her scattered children.

Jesus followed the principle of pure religion as found in James 1. He knew what it meant to carefully scan your household and seek out those who needed loving care and nurturing. He, like a mother hen, examined the lost house of Israel. He, in his omniscience, found those who needed his love, and so he came to restore and heal the spiritually broken.

Conclusion:

Mothers: Every diaper you have changed. Every tear you have daubed. Every boo-boo you have kissed. Every sleepless night spent attending to a sick child. Every time you have scanned and examined your house to meet the needs of those in your care. You have painted a glorious and beautiful picture of how God's people are to love and care for their own.

You are a beautiful image bearer!

You have a place in God's redemptive plan for mankind.

You are a living example of the true religion that God intended for Christianity.

She gulped down the heavy lump in her throat, trying to stay still as the makeup artist added the sheen champagne-colored eyeshadow.

Her favorite BoA songs were playing in the background. But the only thing playing in her head was the intrusive thoughts she wishes she didn’t have.

Not on her wedding day.

“Irene, I finally found it! You wouldn’t believe who had it.” The perky sound of her bandmate, Sooyoung, could be heard as she stepped inside the cosmetics room.

She looked beautiful in her beige-colored bridesmaid dress. The bride gave her a tight-lipped smile and moved her newly styled hair out of the way so the piece of jewelry could be clasped around her neck.

Sooyoung took a step back and sighed a satisfied sigh. The choker-like necklace had white pearls as the straps with a sparkly pendant situated at the center, giving the perfect vintage look.

But a frown quickly overtook her features as a distressed and troubled look overcame her friend's delicate face.

The bridesmaid gently reached down and squatted face-to-face with the older woman she’s been working with for several years.  Making eye contact with the other, she tried to silence the hiccups that made their way up.

“Joohyun-Unnie, it’s ok to be scared.”

Those were the things she needed to hear for her to begin sniffling.

Someone signaled for everyone to leave the room, leaving only three other women to stay behind.

The rest of her beloved and gorgeous members crowded around to check on their leader. Their youngest brought her up and sat her down in the comfortable chaise towards the back of the room, continuing holding her hand even after they sat down.

“I just- I can’t even describe the love I have for that girl. And there’s nothing more I want then to be with her for the rest of my hectic life.” She started, looking up towards the ceiling to try not to let her tears ruin the quality makeup the artists worked on.

She gave a watery hiccuped that shook her body, thinking about the shit that her wife is going to have to go through. She felt herself being pulled into a group hug by her other members, comforting words being gifted to her in the best way possible.

“The media hates her, my family but my dad disapproves approves of our relationship. I don’t want to put her through it anymore.” The uncontrollable tears began to free fall, the pressure of her love-life taking a toll.

“Joohyun, look at me,” The most stable of all, Seulgi, softly held her chin and tilted it towards her direction.

She was a sight to behold as the tears streaked her face and a hopeless looked shined in her tears eyes.

“Why do you think you’re here right now, honey? That’s because Y/N wants to be with you. She’s willing to face the backlash, the hate, the sacrifices with you.” The whispered words crept in her mind, slowly overlaying her doubts.

She let the words of comfort creep their way through her being, knowing the words being preached to her were right.

“Yeah, and, ReVeluv’s are all for it. The GP might love a controversy here and there, but that’s not what matters right now. What matters is that you’re getting pussy for the rest of your life.” Yerim commented, a humorous smile adorning her face.

Even that one.

“You can always count on Yerim to say some bullshit like that,” Their main vocalist stated as she lightly bumped the youngest.

As she laughed, the tears dried on her cheeks. One of the few genuine smiles she pulled today.

“Ah, there’s that pretty smile. Why were you hiding it for so long huh?” Sooyoung said snapping a quick picture of the candid moment.

The stars couldn’t have aligned for anybody but the five of them to meet as one. — The delicate ivory tulle dress hung loosely on Irene’s body. It’s elegant flow and puffy sleeves design made her feel like a fairy in an enchanted forest.

The people attending to her makeup and hair weren’t as upset and quickly touched it up before she was fitted in her gown.

She took a deep breath, holding tightly onto her father's arm and the peony bouquet in her other arm.

“I’m happy for you, Joohyun-Ah. Let’s hope this marriage isn’t another strict contract.” He jestered playfully.

“You’re really funny you know that?” They chuckled lightly together.

“Don’t forget to smile, okay?”

She never got the chance to smile as the big and ominous doors awaited her destiny.

And there you were, watching the love of your eternity gliding down the aisle like the angel she is. The way the light caught her dress made her look absolutely heavenly. Your cheeks hurt, and your heart burned with an undying love for the woman coming towards you.

She lightly bowed towards her comrades that worked with her. One of her long time friends, Johnny, and his group gave you thumbs up and discreet finger hearts.

When she finally stood in front of you, you really couldn’t breathe. You didn’t believe in that cheesy phrase “as time stood still,” but shit, you wish it did.

Neither of you was the religious type, so instead of a priest speaking, you kindly asked her esteemed friend, Jennie, to do the honors.

It was a hilarious mess when the poor young woman called for any objections, and all of her bandmates declared they loved her first.

“YOU’LL ALWAYS BE OUR PERFECT 10 IRENE!”

If that didn’t make her want to cry of happiness and joy even more, then the end of your vows would surely leave her a sobbing mess.

“I pledge to remain your companion and friend, I promise to be with you always, to care for you, and to love you no matter how far apart we may be. I will always show an interest in the things you do and your ideas. I will be with you in your heart, and keep you safely in mine. When you are happy, I will be happy with you. When you are sad, I will make you smile. I swear it on my soul it’s so beautiful when you smile,”

Her hands tightened in yours as she held back sobs and tried to keep her composure.

“I will encourage you to continue growing as an individual as we work toward our mutual goals. Things are hard right now, but we'll get through this together. It's okay to step back and breathe. I stand with you as your best friend and wife and acknowledge that your choices are valid ones. I promise to give you love, honesty, trust, and commitment, and, in general, keep your life more interesting and chaotic than NCT 127s music, as we grow old and beyond. I love you, Joohyun.”

She trembled in the overwhelming feeling of yearning as she looked into your intense eyes. All she can see is promise and unconditional love.

“You know I love you more, Y/N.”

With the seal of a delicate kiss of plush lips pressed against each other and arms pulling her in tight, dress against dress, she knew she could overcome anything with you by her side.
